Report: Warner Bros Multiversus Images Leak Online, Show Off Stages & Control Schemes (Update)

Following our earlier report on a leaked screenshot for its character select screen, it appears now that various Warner Bros Multiversus images and documents have leaked online, showcasing more of the Smash-like from the studio. Head down below for the documents and images, detailing more of what we can possibly expect from the game.

The leaked documents and images for Warner Bros Multiversus comes from the PapaGenos Discord server. However, in case of it being taken down, a Resetera user created a thread showcasing what was discussed in the thread in terms of the leaks. Check out the images and documents below.

As seen in the images, it appears that the game is at least partially confirmed for both Xbox consoles and PC, as there are control schemes available for both the Xbox controller and keyboard. Some of the stages are also shown, including Finn and Jake’s Treehouse from Adventure Time, suggesting that the character select screen leak was also correct.

In addition to the images within the documents, the Resetera user also archived the description that came with some of the leaked documents.

– Finn plays like Coin Battle (think like Steve in Smash, where he needs resources in a way)
– Shaggy is literally based entirely on Ultra Instinct Shaggy
– No sign of Morty in Rick’s moveset
– No sign of Big Chungus in Bugs’s moveset
– Garnet from Steven Universe and Arya from Game of Thrones are in [This is extremely significant as it confirms that different playtesters had different, incomplete rosters. This explains how the Reddit leak, hbox photo leak, and now this guy know about characters the others don’t]
– Bat Cave, Finn’s Treehouse, and Schwifty Planet are stages. They have multiple variants, but that’s likely the devs just testing which one they want.
– Every alt is a full costume. Since the game is a WIP, some characters have multiple alts and some have none. The alts he saw include Pickle Rick, OG Harley, Bizarro Superman, Cake (female cat Jake), Pirate Tom & Jerry, Gentleman Shaggy. VAs change for alts
– It’s %-based, like Smash, if that wasn’t already obvious.
– Rick is projectile-heavy, and uses his portal gun, leaving portals that allies can go through, but not enemies. Also has an AoE attack that turns you into a helpless baby version of the OC.
– Tom and Jerry is more like Rosalina & Luma, with Jerry being Luma, except Jerry can’t be hurt. Stuff like an attack where Tom swings a tennis racket and Jerry is the ball.
– OC is named Rein maybe”

Just like everything else that is not officially confirmed, take this report with a huge grain of salt. That stated, there’s something to be said about these leaks being purged via copyright on Twitter. A few of them, including Hungrybox’s tweet, had their images claimed, which could be interpreted as an official response to the burgeoning rumors of the Warner Bros Multiversus game.

Update (3/1/2022): Warner has sent a takedown notice to MP1st regarding the images, and we’ve updated the post accordingly.

Thanks, Sponge!

Gran Turismo 7 Beta Developer Build Shows Up on PSN Database

Just a few months ago, a mention of a Gran Turismo 7 beta surfaced on the PlayStation website. Well, it seems now, we have something more tangible come up, as the GT7 beta developer build has been uploaded on the PlayStation Network.

Spotted by reliable PlayStation data scraper PlayStation Game Sizes, the developer build has a codename of “Chess,” though it can be seen as “Gran Turismo 7” upon further inspection.

While the version uploaded is the developer build, that bodes well for those looking forward to trying out the Gran Turismo 7 beta. Given the game’s huge online component, it’s just a matter of when the beta will formally be conducted rather than if. Chances are, Polyphony Digital is testing the beta client out on their own, though we’re hoping players will be roped in soon.

For more on Gran Turismo 7, you can check out the pre-order bonuses and different editions here.

Gran Turismo 7 is set to race out this March 4, 2022 on the PS4 and PS5.

Earn enough reputation, and you’ll be able to claim a Trials Engram from Saint-14! This engram can be focused into any currently available trials loot you have previously obtained, or it can be taken to Master Rahool for a random Trials drop. Your reputation increases after every match completion, based on the amount of round-wins on your card, regardless of the result of that match itself (win or lose, 0-5 or 5-4).

Once you have gone flawless, keep playing! Every win on your still-flawless card will give you a chance at bonus, additional post-match drops of the Adept weapon for that week. Once you lose a game, you will no longer get these adept drops. However, still winning games at 7 wins even on a non-flawless can can drop bonus trials engrams, prisms, and even ascendant shards.

When you’re done, you can cash in your 7-win passage for one additional adept drop, granted you have gone flawless that week. This resets your card so you can start anew.

Multiplayer:

Starting on November 5thVanguard will include seven core (and hardcore) modes – a collection of Call of Duty’s mainstays plus Patrol, a new contender for competitive fun:

Core and Hardcore Modes:

– Free for All

– Team Deathmatch

– Kill Confirmed

– Domination

– Search & Destroy

– Hardpoint

– Patrol

Additional modes, including two newer ones that recently became a competitive standard and a small-team tactical mainstay respectively, should be expected following launch.

These core modes can be played across 16 maps – learn about this fight across five continents by clicking left and right through the carousel below.

Capital Hill

Vanguard Multiplayer also brings you another new mode: a multi-arena survival tournament known as Champion Hill, featured in the game’s Alpha and Beta earlier this year.

Invite your Duo, form your Trio, or go solo as you build a Loadout in this fast-paced, limited-life mode. Earn Cash by picking up drops, eliminating enemies, and winning rounds, then spend it on upgrading weaponry or getting new armaments, equipment, Perks, or tide-turning Killstreaks.

Combat Pacing, a New Filter Option for Quickplay

Vanguard will have some new filter options in addition to the standard Playlist options. Dubbed “Combat Pacing” players will have three new playlist options that cater to a specific player type. Details on each option are found below.

Tactical: These are the lobbies that franchise veterans know well. This is the experience that you’re used to with familiar Call of Duty combat timing. Tactical Combat Pacing always has a 12-player maximum in matches for traditional 6v6 play.

Assault: Balanced combat pacing that gives you enough room to breathe and a lot of targets to kill. A middle ground between Tactical and Blitz featuring matches with 14 to 36 players (7v7 to 18v18) depending on the size of the map.

Blitz: High-action lobbies where the intensity is cranked up to frenetic levels. Prepare for plenty of combat when choosing to join a Blitz, as matches here range from 16 to 48 players (8v8 to 24v24) depending on the size of the map.

Quick Play also has a selection of modes in Hardcore, a variant of regular Multiplayer where base health is drastically reduced, healing is limited to Stim equipment, and the HUD is minimal. Meant for those who want a more realistic FPS experience, or who like to win fights based on who lands the first shot, Hardcore will test your Call of Duty skill set in its rawest form.

You can also head into Private Match, where you can fine-tune dozens of options for existing modes, test out all Loadout items and attachments available at launch, and play against computer-controlled enemies or your friends.

12 Playable Task Force Operators at Launch

These Task Forces are ready to fight in Multiplayer and Zombies at launch and are prepared to deploy in Warzone upon Vanguard’s integration in Season One.

Each Operator comes with plenty of customization options, from their attire (or Skin) to new comments for the enhanced Quip system, which goes beyond kills and shows off an Operator’s personality in moments such as capturing objectives. You can also change their Finishing Move, Infiltration Pose, and MVP Pose, a display of flash and force shown only when you lead a squad to victory.

Revamped Gunsmith at Launch

Over three dozen weapons are available in Vanguard at launch, and most can be completely overhauled in a revamped Gunsmith and outfitted with up to 10 attachments.

Customize your armament and choose from over 200 unique weapon attachments to fill in those slots — from barrels and ammo conversions to over 40 Weapon Perks, also known as Proficiencies and Kits.

There are also other Loadout items — six Perk choices for each of the three slots (18 Perks at launch, plus over 40 Weapon Perks via Proficiencies and Kits), and six Lethal and Tactical Equipment pieces — as well as over a dozen Killstreaks to use in combat.

Progression

Vanguard Multiplayer and Zombies – as well as Warzone, following Season One –  is here to reward you for personal progress. The best of the best can expect to be decked out in Gold — and then some — from their Operator to their fully loaded 10-attachment weapon.

– The Ranking E(XP)erience — 55 Enlisted Ranks to unlock all Loadout items. Seasonal Prestige system to return.

– Weapon Progression — Weapon XP unlocks attachments and Camo Challenges. Use attachments across all modes and unlock two sets of striking cosmetic camouflage rewards: one through Zombies and another through Multiplayer or Warzone.

– New Operator XP, Leveling, and Rewards — All 12 Operators at launch and others to come — can be leveled up to unlock new Skins, including special Gold attire, Weapon XP for specific weapons, and more. Use their Favorite Weapon to earn bonus Weapon and Operator XP.

– Clans: Play with Friends, Get Rewarded Replacing Regiments, Clans invites friends to play together and unlock exclusive rewards by earning Clan XP. Represent your squad with a custom Emblem and unique clan tag and play with your clan members for a global percentage bonus to regular, Weapon, Operator, and Clan XP.

RICOCHET Anti-Cheat

The launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard marks the launch of the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat initiative for PC, as multiple server-side upgrades take effect.

No additional download is required for this part of RICOCHET Anti-Cheat; just play the game. At Vanguard’s launch, all Multiplayer gameplay will be examined closely to identify suspicious behavior, but you should always do your part to combat cheaters by reporting any suspected foul play through the in-game reporting tools.

PRELUDE TO SEASON ONE OF VANGUARD AND WARZONE

Shipment’s Return Highlights Vanguard Preseason Content

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s unparalleled content drop continues after launch with a few free special deliveries in the days leading up to Season One.

Headlining that batch of free content is Shipment, the classic frenetic Multiplayer experience re-fitted for Vanguard, currently scheduled for a November 17 arrival. Newcomers and veterans alike can ready up for a fresh take on the map that’s entertained Call of Duty fans for over a decade, providing all Vanguard players a chaotic playground for destruction.

Warzone: Operation: Flashback, Secrets of the Pacific, and Last Hours of Verdansk

While Vanguard gets Shipment and other offerings to supplement its already massive amount of single-player, co-op, and Multiplayer experiences, Warzone will be preparing for the end of Verdansk as we know it.

Operation: Flashback – An Encore for Verdansk Begins on November 18

The city and its surrounding area hosted over 100 million players for the past 18 months, and plenty has changed since March 10, 2020. From blasting back to the year 1984 to hosting ’80s Action Heroes and Hauntings, Verdansk proved to be the place to drop in again and again.

Two unique rewards will be up for grabs:

– An Emblem for participating in the event

– And an animated Calling Card for those who claim victory!

Enjoy the nostalgia and get rewarded with an Emblem just for playing. Those who claim victory will also receive an animated Calling Card, proof of mastery for Warzone’s past and present, as we look forward to the future.

Uncover Intel on Caldera Through Secrets of the Pacific, Starting November 24

As we prepare for the end of Verdansk, prepare to uncover more about the mysterious Caldera map by digging up Secrets of the Pacific.

This limited-time event developed by Beenox will grant you vital information on Caldera and its various points of interest prior to its launch in December, but only if you complete challenges across Vanguard and Warzone. Each game will have its own set of tasks and rewards for completing them, such as acquiring and protecting Pacific artifacts while fighting to survive in Verdansk.

SEASON ONE BRINGS VANGUARD INTEGRATION, CALDERA MAP TO WARZONE AMONG OTHER FREE CONTENT

Welcome to Caldera – A New Map Arrives as RICOCHET Anti-Cheat Heats Up with Kernel-Level Driver

–  The Warzone Pacific Era Begins. Caldera’s only true comparison to Verdansk is its scale. This brand-new map, built on learnings from the community, is launching with Season One.

–  RICOCHET Anti-Cheat Driver Launching with Season One. Arriving with the new map, expect RICOCHET Anti-Cheat to help keep you focused on the fun.

Lush forests and rocky crags. White sand beaches and mysterious ruins. And a dormant volcano that towers over the 200-plus points of interest.

Warzone will change its title to Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific, or “Warzone Pacific.” The new Pacific formally launches as part of Vanguard’s first season of content. A map roughly the size of Verdansk, which it will replace as part of the update, this new map is based on two years of research and listening to the community.

Built on the same tech and engine as Call of Duty: Vanguard, this map is visually appealing as it is ready to support this new game’s armaments, and will support fully optimized cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-gen support.

It, as well as Warzone as a whole, will also support RICOCHET Anti-Cheat. Our upcoming initiative, supported by a team of dedicated professionals focused on fighting unfair play, will already have several backend anti-cheat security features by Vanguard’s launch on November 5.

New Playlists: Vanguard’s Integration with Warzone, Including 24-Hour Exclusive Access Period, Dedicated Main Playlist and Dogfighting, Detailed

Dogfighting, New Vanguard Content, Shine in Dedicated Playlist. Available to all players, take to the skies or maneuver AA guns to breakup epic aerial battles in Vanguard Royale, featuring a streamlined loadout and weapon pool.

Honoring Your Progression. The integration adds Vanguard content – expect all your Operators, Calling Cards, and more from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare® to stay in Warzone, as well as cross-progression and Seasonal Prestige.

24-Hour Exclusive Access to Caldera for Vanguard Players. Play the new Pacific map a day early by owning Call of Duty: Vanguard. Rebirth Island will remain live during this time for all other players.

Caldera is just the beginning of Vanguard’s full integration into Warzone, and there’s no better place to experience all this fresh content than in the dedicated Vanguard modes for Warzone Pacific.

Available to all players in Season One, Vanguard Royale mode– and later, Vanguard Plunder mode – showcase all new content from the Season One update onwards, including weaponry and vehicles like biplanes and AA trucks.

The Pacific is home to dogfighting, aerial battles in the azure skies above the majestic isle. Think of a Precision Airstrike where you are in the cockpit, ready to rain down fire on a squad or defend yours from an enemy pilot. That, in its most basic terms, is what you can imagine aerial combat is like in the Pacific.

In these modes, only Vanguard weaponry can be used in Loadouts. This limit streamlines the meta, granting new players an opportunity to jump in without facing fully maxed-out loadouts right at launch. It also grants room for experimentation with these new weapons, giving the most hardcore community meta prophets a place to focus on the future for a winning loadout.

– All Operators – from Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare – can be used across all of Warzone after the integration, even in the Vanguard playlist.

– Your progression – for your Player Level, Battle Pass system, etc. – is synchronized across Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare and Warzone Pacific, and the Seasonal Levelling and Prestige System will return. This also means your level will reset to Military Rank 1 within all games, but this only applies to XP; all content you previously unlocked will still be available.

– Your personal profile – Calling Card, Emblem, etc. – can be comprised of what you already have in Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare, use what you will earn in Vanguard, or be a combination of anything from those games.

– The Store will stock Vanguard Bundles as well as legacy Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare content – all of which can be used in Warzone Pacific.

In addition to getting to try out the new weapons and Operators in Vanguard, those who purchase Call of Duty: Vanguard prior to Season One’s official launch will be able to participate in a 24-hour Caldera exclusive access event in Warzone Pacific starting on launch day, December 2.

Access All Legacy Content in Standard, Rebirth Island Playlists

The Biggest Arsenal in Call of Duty. At the start of Season One, you can use 150+ weapons in Caldera within standard Battle Royale and Plunder modes as well as…

Rebirth Island Returns. The Resurgence continues. Expect the alternate, small-scale map to continue supplementing the main Warzone map.

“Original Warzone Vehicles” Still Cruising. Your pink anime truck isn’t going anywhere. All original vehicles and their Vehicle Skins – including ATVs and other Verdansk-era modes of transport – still exist in these playlists.

The first are playlists that include Rebirth Island. From Resurgence to Mini Royales and many more surprises to come, Rebirth Island is back to complement the main Warzone Pacific experience.

The other is your familiar Battle Royale and Plunder experiences, but taking place on Caldera. Whether it is modern, from the Cold War, or just came with Vanguard, any of the 150+ weapons you have earned or levelled up can be used in the normal playlists.

Season One: New Battle Pass, Armaments, Multiplayer Maps and More

All these exciting Warzone additions aren’t the only pieces of new content coming with Season One.

Starting on December 2, Vanguard players can expect three new Multiplayer Maps, three unique Operators, new Zombies content & features like additional Covenants, a new Objective, fresh Challenges, new weapons, and more.

Plus, this season marks the first Battle Pass system across Vanguard and Warzone, where up to 100 Tiers of items – including a selection of free Weapon Blueprints, cosmetic content, and two functional weapons – are yours to unlock.

PREPARE FOR VANGUARD, WARZONE PACIFIC

PRE-ORDER REWARDS

In addition to getting early access into Caldera and all its day one content, pre-ordering the game digitally grants you multiple rewards across Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, and Warzone.

Most notably, those who pre-order the game can pre-load before its November 5 launch, as well as unlock the “Ghost of War” Ultra Skin, the “Night Raid” Mastercraft SMG and Arthur Kingsley Operator in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.*

Digital pre-orders also receive the Frontline Weapons Pack, containing two SMG Weapon Blueprints for Vanguard. Plus, there are even more rewards, including the Task Force One Pack and Double XP Tokens, for those who pick up the Cross-Gen Bundle or Ultimate Edition.

Earn Free Vanguard Content in Current Season Six Battle Pass for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone

Through the Season Six Battle Pass system in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, you can unlock up to 24 FREE tiers of Vanguard content — including four Weapon Blueprints — just by playing those two games. You can even level up two Vanguard weapons to max level in Warzone, well before the game’s November 5 launch and its integration later this year.

Ready Up for an Epic Year of Free Content

This is all just the beginning of Vanguard and Warzone’s post-launch content. We haven’t even scratched the surface of what Season One is bringing on December 2 and the weeks to follow, let alone the seasons after that.

But before Season One rings in the holiday season, Vanguard has plenty to offer when it launches on November 5. Be there at the start of an incredible year of content to come.

The Division 2 Specialization Revamp Detailed by Ubisoft

Ubisoft has unveiled a hefty The Division 2 Specialization Revamp details, with the improvements set to come in a later update. What’s going to change with specializations, and how will players adapt to it? Head down below to find out.

The Division 2 Specialization Revamp was detailed in the latest Intelligence Annex, the bulk of which you can read below:

In the last few years, we’ve dedicated a lot of time to researching the builds used by players in both PvE and PvP content, and we’ve concluded that Specializations are today not reaching their full potential, yet. Our objective with Specializations is to empower players to create Agents who match their playstyle preferences.

With our next update, Specializations will greatly improve both build diversity and player choice. To do this, we will be splitting up specialization progression into a linear level and a specialization tree.

The Linear Level Progression

In the current design, much of the existing Specialization tree is “mandatory.” Agents can spend their points into improving signature weapon damage and ammo acquisition, also requiring to manually add and remove individual elements whenever you decide to try out new weapons.

To better fit with our ambition to create a more bespoke experience for all Specializations, these elements will be moving into a strictly linear level system. This is where you’ll unlock your Skill variants, Specialization sidearm (and upgrades), and Signature weapon power. All the “this is where the power increase comes from” perks will be moved here once they’ve been reviewed and tuned. Once you’ve unlocked these benefits, they will remain permanently on your character as long as they have that specialization active.

This linear level progression will also reward you with Specialization Points to spend in the new Specialization Tree.

The Specialization Tree

Thanks to the addition of the linear progression system, we will be entirely reviewing the Specialization Tree to provide a stronger focus on customization & choice to the players. Importantly, there will not be enough Specialization Points to purchase every perk on the tree. Instead, you will need to choose what perks best fit your playstyle!

The Specialization Tree focuses on three elements: signature weapons, armor kits, and grenades. For grenades and armor kits, we want to provide alternate uses for these consumables which may be triggered instantly in addition to their standard behavior. The trees permit agents to pick whether their armor kits and grenades have these alternate quick uses and invest additional specialization points to improve them.

For the Signature Weapons, we want to allow players to customize their behavior and to invest Specialization Points to increase the impact those choices might have. This would be a meaningless addition without the ability to make named enemies vulnerable to signature weapon damage, so we are implementing a system to make that possible.

Additionally, we want the whole specialization tree to be valid in all game modes, and this means that we are reintroducing the Signature Weapons to PvP. We want all players to enjoy benefit from these new balancing efforts and improved experience. To avoid seeing signature weapons become the ultimate ambush tools, agents will be treated the same way as named enemies when it comes to signature weapon damage. This will require significant balancing and tuning, so we will be watching build and player performance closely.

The Power of Choice

While a Specialization and its Signature Weapon are tied, that would be no longer true for their mods, skill variants, and sidearms anymore. By sufficiently levelling up a Specialization, you will unlock these formerly Specialization-restricted specific items for use by other Specializations.

Want to use the Artificer Hive with the Mortar Turret while wielding the Survivalist D50? You will be able to do just that.

As you might guess, these changes, among other exciting improvements to come with our next update, are quite a complex topic to handle and we want to take the time to deliver the best experience for you all.

What do you think? Is this Specialization Revamp good for The Division 2 moving forward? Let us know in the comments below!

World War Z Update 1.30 Patch Notes:

Update: ThePS4 update history has this as the changes in this title update:

Stability
– Fixed memory fragmentation issue that was causing crashes on past gen consoles

For now, Saber Interactive has not released any details regarding today’s update. However, for those curious, we’ve also listed the gameplay-related changes included in the patch released earlier this week.

NEW CONTENT
– Added new special enemy – Booster
– Added new daily challenges system
– Added new documents pickup that will spawn in daily and weekly challenges maps
– Collecting documents will unlock additional lore and level perks

MELEE
– Melee attacks against prone and sitting zombies while wielding light melee weapons now deals the same damage as medium weapons

VANGUARD
Reworked block mechanic:
– Block stamina (progress bar over the crosshair) is spent gradually each second you block. Full block stamina allows you to take any amount of hits for 5 seconds, no matter how many zombies attack you and how many are killed as a result.
– Each time you spend block stamina, a small portion of equipment charge (progress bar over the equipment icon on the HUD) is also spent. Full block spends half of the charge. If you haven’t blocked incoming damage – you won’t spend any equipment charge.
– You can activate the block even if you’re low on equipment charge, but you’ll also have less block stamina. If you don’t have any equipment charge left, you’ll only have stamina to block a single attack and won’t be able to use block for the next 5 seconds.

– Passive Aggression perk changed from:

“Players can kill 40% more zombies with a Shield Block”
To:
“Shield Block can withstand incoming hits for 3 more seconds (base: 5 seconds)”

Sturdy perk changed from:
“When your Shield Block ends due to reaching your kill limit, you gain a temporary health boost”
To:
“When your Shield Block is completely expended, you gain a temporary health boost”

Quick Hands perk changed from:
“Your primary and secondary weapons are reloaded after using a Shield”
To:
“Blocking a zombie hit or performing Shield Charge reloads your primary and secondary weapons”

Adrenaline Rush perk changed from:
“Using a Shield fully restores melee stamina”
To:
“Blocking a zombie hit or performing Shield Charge fully restores melee stamina”

– Long run perk: additional speed and distance bonus decreased to 20% from 30%
– Now Shield won’t protect you from deadly threats such as fans in the Jerusalem Episode

FIREARMS
– Explosive bolts fired from Repeater X crossbow will damage Rats as intended

STABILITY
– Fixed freezes on next-gen consoles
– Various fixes and improvements
– Fixed several gameplay crashes
– Fixed issue with not being able to control character movement speed when using the controller

PC SPECIFIC

Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown 1.21 Strikes Out for Bug Fixes This Oct. 29

SEGA has released the Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown update 1.21 patch this October 29, and this is for bug fixes, and not a long list at that. For those in Asia, this will appear as Virtua Fighter 5 eSports update 1.21.

Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown 1.21 Patch Notes:

  • ■ Bug fix

-Fixed a bug where the tournament would not progress when rematching with a user who did not have good communication compatibility in the regular tournament mode.

That’s about it for this patch. Originally given out for free via PlayStation Plus, Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is a true return of the franchise, as our review gave it a glowing 9/10 and said, “Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate may not have been the announcement many Virtua Fighter fans were hoping to see for the franchise, but it certainly was a welcome one. What is considered to be the franchise’s best when it comes to exhilarating, smart and accessible combat, Ultimate Showdown proves that the series reigns supreme in the realm of 3D fighters. A classic re-energized with it’s visual facelift, Ultimate Showdown reminds us once more of why the Virtua Fighter series is so damn special. Hopefully this is a testing ground of some sort to pave the way to the much anticipated sequel. “

Battlefield 2042 Destruction to Be at BF5’s Level for Most Maps; New Maps Have Areas to Focus on Infantry-Only Combat

Earlier today, DICE unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Battlefield 2042 that introduced some of the new maps we’ll be playing on at launch. Now, for those wondering about the Battlefield 2042 destruction elements, it seems it’ll be similar to how Battlefield 5 (BFV) handled it across “most maps.”

This was confirmed by DICE Community Manager Kevin Johnson on Twitter, where he states that fans can expect “Battlefield V’s level of destruction.”

In a separate tweet, Johnson also commented that the new maps have battlefields “within them” that will focus on infantry combat. This will happen while other fights are happening around you, which is possible given how full-scale Battlefield 2042 matches will feature 128 players.

While the Battlefield 2042 destruction news might be a downer for some hoping for some Bad Company 2-like environmental decimation, there were still a significant amount of destruction in Battlefield 5’s maps, though not in all of them. That said, we do have the levolution-like elements like tornadoes in BF2042’s levels, which should spice things up in every match, no?

Battlefield 2042 is set to launch this November 19 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, though it will be playable in early access (depending on the version you bought or if you’re a member of EA Play) on November 12.
