The Outer Worlds 2 Gets a Surprise Teaser Reveal at E3 2021

Looks like the action-role playing game from the directors of the original Fallout games is getting a sequel to its name, as The outer Worlds 2 gets a surprise teaser reveal over at E3 2021!

Check out the brilliant and hilariously presented trailer below.

Just like the narrator of the trailer said – there’s no name for the protagonist, no story set, and no other details… Other than the title being revealed, and at least they were honest about that much. Here’s the simple description that accompanied the official announce trailer.

New solar system, new crew, same Outer Worlds. The Outer Worlds 2 is coming…and when that day is closer we will show you more…but until then enjoy this.

While we’re still in the dark about the sequel, here’s a refresher on what the first Outer Worlds was all about.

The Outer Worlds is an award-winning single-player first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division.

Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.

Starfield Release Date November 2022, Only for Xbox and PC! Watch the Trailer Now

One of the most anticipated Bethesda announcements just got its details revealed, as the Starfield release date is November 11, 2022 — and it’s coming only for Xbox and PC.

Here’s the trailer reveal straight from E3 2021’s Xbox and Bethesda Showcase for the new IP from the makers of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series.

Announced during E3 2018 alongside The Elder Scrolls 6, information on Starfield was limited and bare at best — but now we have a release date to the game’s name and it will be hitting Xbox consoles and PC on the latter part of next year. After Microsoft acquired Bethesda, the game has become an easy highlight and will lead the charge for new exclusives and firsts for the company following the acquisition

While the game is still in the works, Bethesda Game Studios president and executive producer Todd Howard has stated that Starfield is in playable state — having moved out of pre-production and now being prepped for others to try out soon.

“We’ve been talking about it for a decade, we started putting things on paper five, six years ago, and active development was from when we finished Fallout 4, so two and a half, three years.”

Now that it’s been revealed in this Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Starfield will be released exclusively for Xbox and PC on November 11, 2022.

Riders Republic Is Ubisoft’s New Sports MMO

Massive multiplayer games have only increased in popularity since the pandemic began. Riders Republic joins in on the list of games of that genre as Ubisoft Annecy announces this outdoor sports playground during Ubisoft Forward.

Players worldwide can jump on the game to experience outdoor sports in an open world. The range of sports includes biking, skiing, snowboarding, wingsuiting, and rocket wingsuiting, as players are given the opportunity to try these varied games and compete in each one.

Riders Republic will allow players to ride through some of the most breathtaking landscapes the United States has to offer. Some of the most iconic American national parks such as Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley, Sequoia, Zion, Canyonlands, Mammoth Mountain and Grand Teton have been faithfully recreated and imaginatively mashed together to form the ultimate outdoor sports park.

Players can squad up with or against friends in insane multiplayer modes:

  • Mass Races: The crazier the better in these epic, multisport races with more than 50 players.** New races appear randomly on the map, so players will need to get ready to watch their blind spots, protect their position and remain agile with their skills as they fight their way to the finish line.
  • Tricks Battle: Compete in 6v6 matchups and try to land as many tricks as possible on the various modules to earn points. The team with the highest score wins.
  • Free-for-All: Challenge new opponents in 12-player sessions and show them how it’s done through a select playlist of exciting events.
  • Versus Mode: Join up with friends and see who’s the best.
  • Multiplayer Competition: Made for the top riders to show off and show out, ultimately making it to the top divisions.

As part of their career, riders can make a name for themselves through five different career progressions. As players continue to prove themselves in the Republic, they will sign with legendary sponsors and receive invitations to the most renowned sports competitions, including Red Bull Rampage and the X Games. Players can customize their rider through evolutive progression-based gear and define every aspect of their character. Whether a rider wants to master snowboarding or be the fastest thing on two wheels, everything is possible.

Riders Republic will be available for next-gen, with 4K ultra-high resolution at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PlayStation5. The game will also support cross-play and cross-generation play. The different editions of the game has also been announced today:

Players looking for even more Riders Republic content can pre-order the Gold and Ultimate Editions now:

  • Gold Edition includes the base game and the Year 1 Pass including eight exotic kits that allow players to modify gameplay in the form of gear upgrades throughout the year, the BMX Sport add-on plus exclusive content added after launch. Rocket Bike and Rocket Ski exotic kits will be available at launch.
  • Ultimate Edition includes the base game and the Year 1 Pass as well as four exclusive cosmetic packs: Cosmic, Rainbow, Neon and Skull’n Style. Players will also enjoy 20 helicopter tickets to reach their favorite in-game summits faster than ever.

Players who pre-order Riders Republic will receive the Bunny Pack, including a cute custom bunny outfit, an additional blue bunny head and rainbow snowboard paint.

Players can register and participate in upcoming betas on their website.

Riders Republic will launch on September 2 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Stadia, Luna, and for Windows PC exclusively on both the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. The game will also be available on Ubisoft+.

Sifu New Gameplay Trailer Features Nightclub Brawling

Kung Fu will never die, and the hype for martial arts combat gets stronger with the anticipation of the upcoming game, Sifu. Developed by Sloclap and published by Devolver Digital, a new Sifu gameplay trailer has punched its way out, and this shows a nightclub brawl!

The gameplay trailer, captured on a PS5, features both its beautiful hand-drawn art style and the action-packed setting, where you will have to fight your way out of a hallway filled with thugs and brutes.

Sifu tells the story of a young Kung Fu student who has spent their life training for a day of reckoning after the brutal murder of their entire family by a mysterious assassination squad. Hunt down the murderers one by one as you explore gang-ridden suburbs, hidden corners deep within the city, all the way to the cold hallways of corporate towers. Adaptation and careful positioning are the key to your survival and you must use everything at your disposal to succeed in your life’s mission.

Sifu’s unique gameplay sits in the crossroads of two established and popular genres, mashing the intensity and timeless thrill of beat em ups with the gripping design of 3D character action games. Set against a detailed backdrop of a fictional Chinese city, you will uncover an ancient mystery via a series of difficult confrontations that will test your skills to their limit. To overcome the odds that are heavily stacked against you, you’ll need to rely on your mastery of Kung Fu, and on a magical pendant that will revive you after death. The cost of magic is dear, however, and you will age significantly every time you come back to life: time is the price you will pay for your revenge.

Sifu is set to release this 2021.

Battlefield 2042 “Plus” System Lets Players Change Gun Attachments In-Game, New Screenshot Shows Character Facial Details

Have you encountered a scenario in a multiplayer first-person shooter where you wanted to change your gun’s scope or other attachment for a specific scenario? If so, you’ll be glad to know that in Battlefield 2042, that won’t be an issue, as the game will let you change gun attachments in-game on the fly! You don’t need to die and respawn first, but just change it as you go.

This was confirmed by DICE during a behind closed doors event that YouTuber Lossy has attended. When asked by MP1st, Lossy mentioned that DICE calls this the “Plus” system (this name refers to the shape of the UI which is a literal + sign overlayed on the screen), though that name might change to something else at launch. You can check that discussed in Lossy’s video as well, which we’ve embedded below.

In addition to that nice nugget of info, there’s also a new screenshot out for the game that gives us a glimpse at the graphics when it comes to character’s faces! This new screenshot comes via EA’s Origin platform.

In other Battlefield 2042 news, don’t forget to check out the sneak peek at gameplay we got earlier today from EA!

Battlefield 2042 is set for release this October 22 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Far Cry 6 New Trailer Featuring Antón Castillo and Season Pass Revealed

Far Cry is continuing its legacy of interesting and mind-boggling villains with not only Far Cry 6 Yaran dictator Antón Castillo, but also putting on the shoes of three fascinating villains as presented during the #UbisoftForward showcase for E3 2021.

What makes a Far Cry villain interesting, according to the developers, “isn’t the fact that they are evil or shocking, [it’s that they] can sit across the dinner table and charm you into thinking about anything they believe.” Far Cry 6‘s Anton Castillo became a prime example of how the villain can be a master of mind games that can exude charm and debonair.

The new trailer presents Anton Castillo, clad in white that’s trapped civilians in its steel ship.

Immediately afterward, the showcase also features Far Cry 3 Season Pass, which features going into the minds Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed. Players will be given a chance to play as these notorious villains. The Season Pass will also include Blood Dragon.

Through each of the three DLC episodes, players will delve into the minds of these infamous antagonists, uncover their backstories, battle their inner demons, and reunite with familiar faces in a brand new gameplay experience inspired by the roguelite genre in which players will have to become strong enough to survive multiple levels of the villain psyche.

Far Cry 6 will release worldwide on October 7, 2021 on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and for Windows PC exclusively on both the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store as well as on Ubisoft’s subscription service, Ubisoft+
