Destiny 2 Update 3.1.1.3 April 29 Released

While we normally get title updates for Destiny 2 on Tuesdays, Bungie has rolled out the Destiny 2 update 3.1.1.3 April 29 patch for current-gen, next-gen and PC! This also shows up as Destiny 2 update 1.012 for next-gen gamers. Check out the patch notes for it below.

  • Fixed an occasional crash that would result in a Calabrese error.

  • Fixed an issue where the Titan Contender Eververse armor set would make Titans invisible in first person.
  • Fixed an issue where Warlock Guardian Games armor would lose its glow when some shader items are socketed.

Guardian Games

  • Fixed an issue where Daily Guardian Games bounties could not be repurchased on subsequent days after being completed.

MLB The Show 21 Review: Play Ball!

Baseball is back in the swing of things, and that means MLB The Show 21 has finally arrived, but this time, in more places than one. For the first time in its existence, the critically acclaimed baseball sim from Sony’s San Diego Studios will be available on both PlayStation and the Xbox, including Game Pass. Formerly a Sony exclusive, MLB decided to grace its baseball fans on the other side of the gaming aisle. Praised for its amazing gameplay, realistic graphics, and mostly accurate player ratings, MLB The Show 21 is the definitive baseball game out there and reigns supreme of the sports genre.

Play Your Way

MLB The Show 21 contains a multitude of game modes that will satisfy any baseball fan. Whether it’s embarking on your own journey through the major leagues in Road to the Show or putting your team-building skills to the test in Franchise mode, there’s more than enough baseball goodness to go around. When fans first boot up MLB The Show 21, the game will ask the player to assess their own abilities and choose between the six difficulty settings: Beginner, Rookie, Veteran, All-Star, Hall of Fame, and Legend. After selecting a difficulty, players can also enable a setting called “Dynamic.” When enabled, Dynamic adjusts the game’s difficulty based on how the player’s performance. So if you’re launching balls to the moon and collecting 15 strikeouts a game, it might bump up the difficulty a bit.

Before MLB The Show 21 grants full access to its game modes, players must first decide how they will play the game. There are three different hitting methods: Directional Hitting, Zone Hitting, and Pure Analog. Directional Hitting means using the left stick to aim the direction of how the player will swing the bat and then pressing either square, cross, or circle (X, A, B on Xbox) to swing. Zone Hitting is somewhat similar to Directional Hitting, except instead of simply moving the left stick to aim the player moves the entire zone. The closer the zone is to the ball, the more effective the swing will be. Pure Analog hitting is using the right stick to swing, instead of pressing buttons.

Similar to batting, there are five different ways to pitch: Pinpoint, Meter, Pure Analog, Pulse, and Classic. Pinpoint pitching has the player rotate the right stick in a unique motion to throw the ball. Meter pitching might be the most common selection, as the player presses cross (A) after choosing a pitch to begin the meter, pressing it again for intensity of the pitch, and finally pressing it once last time on the yellow line for maximum accuracy and effectiveness. Pure Analog instructs the player to hold down the right stick until the ball reaches the sweet spot, then flicking the analog stick to determine accuracy. Pulse pitching has the player press cross (A) when the pulse is at its smallest for increased accuracy and better results. Classic pitching is just pressing cross (A) to throw the ball.

Baseball Paradise

Once the proper settings have been finalized, baseball paradise awaits. Returning players to The Show won’t find anything different among the game modes. It’s still Road to the Show, Franchise, Diamond Dynasty, March to October, and then the classic Exhibition matches either online or offline. Players jumping straight into Road to the Show will notice that there are no high school or college games to improve draft stock, MLB The Show 21 simply asks a few questions regarding which team you’d like to play for. Players can either get drafted randomly or narrow the scope of the game’s randomness by saying “I’d like to play in the National League” or “I’d like to play for a rebuilding team over a contender” and the game will adjust properly. Unfortunately, MLB The Show 21 only allows one Road to the Show file save, so be sure to choose your team carefully.

A major change in this iteration’s Road to the Show is becoming a two-way player. Two-way players operate in the field at a position spot like left field, while also being a pitcher. MLB The Show 21 does this to mainly force players to try different positions to see what they like, but it’s not a completely unrealistic approach. The idea of two-way players has existed in the MLB since the days of Babe Ruth. Yes, it’s extremely uncommon to master, but not impossible. Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels is a two-way player and one of the most exciting players in baseball.

Franchise mode essentially remains the same in MLB The Show 21. Taking control of an organization, players are tasked with building a competitive roster to win the World Series. When selecting which team to control, the game gives players expectations for the season. So if you decide to take command of the Los Angeles Dodgers, it’s championship or bust. But if you select the Baltimore Orioles, losing less than 100 games might be considered a success. March to October is essentially Franchise mode but in an expedited fashion. After selecting a team, players complete key moments and situations throughout the season in order to win a championship. March to October takes about 15-20 hours to complete a successful session, though it’s a one-and-done experience.

Arguably the most immersive and addicting mode, Diamond Dynasty takes the joy of collecting baseball cards to the next level. After constructing your initial team, players gain experience and unlock rewards through Moments, Missions, Battle Royale, and Conquest. Playing key historic moments shouldn’t be new to sports fans, as the mode has made appearances in Madden games. Diamond Dynasty missions are similar in format to Battle Pass goals, where players must pitch 20 innings with Minnesota Twins pitchers. Conquest is a board game-type approach to baseball where teams operate on a map trying to fill all the spots. Depending on the size of the map, there may be up to four or five enemy teams to conquer. In order to control the map, players must amass fans to attack enemy strongholds. To capture a stronghold, players must defeat the team in a three-inning game. The more fans you have, the easier the game will be. Battle Royale tasks players to win 12 straight matches to claim the crown, but the main difference between Battle Royale and the other modes is players draft a team that’s separate from the main Diamond Dynasty to compete.

Swing and a Miss

With online functionality continuing to advance in today’s society, more and more games require an online connection. Unfortunately, this remains the case with MLB The Show 21. A stable online connection, plus praying that the servers don’t crash, is required to play Diamond Dynasty. Road to the Show and Franchise can be played in an offline setting if the servers were to go down, which happens frequently. Some of the connectivity struggles could simply be standard issues with new games or a result of expanding the player base with Xbox users. Regardless of the reasoning, it’s a shame that a major part of the game is tethered to the fragile online status of the game’s servers.

As previously mentioned, Road to the Show only allows one file save for players. This is a strange decision to make, because if a new Road to the Show is created the previous player’s attributes carry over. Also, players select and equip loadouts in Road to the Show to alter their attributes for better performances fielding, batting, and pitching. Multiple loadouts can be constructed to plan for pitching games or normal fielding games. These loadouts also transfer to a new Road to the Show save, if you decide to start over. Other than loadout items, players unlock rewards that can mostly be used in multiple modes. Players can win an Adidas EQT TW glove in Diamond Dynasty to equip in Road to the Show to increase fielding attributes.

Welcome to The Show

Ultimately, MLB The Show 21 reigns supreme among sports games. From the wide variety of game modes to many different playing styles that fit any player, MLB The Show 21 goes above and beyond to be an experience for everyone. While some player ratings can be a head-scratcher, there isn’t much to get upset about in that department. Other than the frequent hiccups with the online servers, each mode runs smoothly and offers in-depth tutorials to ensure optimal success. Hopefully, the server problem is more of a launch issue and will sort itself out as time goes on. MLB The Show 21 shines with its amazing gameplay, realistic graphics that look breathtaking on the PlayStation 5, and will satisfy any baseball fan’s appetite. As John Fogerty stated perfectly in his song “Centerfield”, put me in coach, I’m ready to play today.

Frictional Games has released the Amnesia: Rebirth update 1.30 April 29 patch that adds a new Adventure Mode that lets you take in the game’s story without the fear of jump scares from monsters or the spooks of traveling in the darkness. Head on below for the details.

Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mode is a new way to experience the fantastic quest of Tasi Trianon with its captivating narrative, cool environments, unique theme, and challenging puzzles, without the anxiety-inducing, and very distressing elements present in the original game,” writes the release.

  • Monsters still exist in the game but they won’t attack you anymore.
  • Locations that contained pitch black darkness have been brightened up a lot, making environments possible to explore at one’s own pace, allowing for easier navigation and removes some of the oppressive atmosphere.
  • No active fear mechanic, meaning that you don’t have to worry about taking fear from being in darker areas or near monsters.
  • A few bonus puzzles.
  • Upgrade for PS5 players, to run at 60 FPS instead of 30 FPS

Borderlands 3 April 29 Hotfix Patch Notes Includes Weapon Adjustments

Gearbox Software has deployed the latest server-side patch for Borderlands 3! The Borderlands 3 April 29 hotfix patch notes can be seen below, and players will know if the patch has been applied, as they will see a “Hotfixes Applied!” mention in the menus.

Today’s changes to Borderlands 3 buff various pieces of end-game gear and address reported instances of the wrong Class Mod sometimes dropping for the Beastmaster and the Gunner in the Guns, Love, and Tentacles add-on.

As a reminder, Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine will be moving to a new location on Thursdays at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET and is activated with a hotfix.

These changes will be live on all platforms by 12:00 PM PT. To apply hotfixes, wait at the main menu until you see a sign that reads, “Hotfixes Applied!” If you are experiencing any issues or want to provide feedback, please submit a ticket to support.2k.com.

  • Made a change that makes the Class Mods for the Beastmaster and the Gunner drop for their respective characters more frequently in the Guns, Love, and Tentacles Add-on

WEAPON ADJUSTMENTS

We’re taking a pass on some gear obtained in higher Mayhem levels and the two Takedowns. Our goal is to provide a stairstep experience from Mayhem 4, to Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite, to Mayhem 6, to Takedown at the Guardian Breach. Players should feel a ramp of power through these changes as they tackle each piece of content. The following pieces of gear received a damage buff:

Neverwinter Update 9.04 April 29 Heads Out for Event Fixes and More

Cryptic Studios has released a new title update for Neverwinter on consoles today with the Neverwinter update 9.04 April 29 patch. This brings a few fixes for the April Fowls event, gameplay fixes and more. Check out the comprehensive patch notes below.

Events

April Fowls

  • Chickens in the distance, in the last area of the Sewers Most Fowl mini-dungeon, should no longer show strange wing clipping artifacts, next time this event runs.
  • Crown of the Concussed now properly shows its effects on dragonborn characters.
  • Fight of the Fowls should no longer reset standard PvP leaderboard stats.
  • Ring of Fowl Weather no longer incorrectly hits a second time for 1 damage.
  • Rover’s fire patch should more consistently show up next time this event runs.

Hell Pit

  • Hell Pit no longer has an item level restriction.
  • Characters and enemies are now scaled up to 40,000 Item Level. Characters above this item level are not scaled down; please feel free to rip and/or tear as desired, until the event is done.
  • Currencies granted by this event have been updated to match the updated event store shared by this event and Harvester of Nightmares.
  • Legendary Insignia Choice Pack now properly shows that it’s bound to account on pickup.
  • Players who participated in previous runs of Hell Pit should properly be able to participate in this run.
  • The exit portal now properly returns players to an appropriate location in Protector’s Enclave.
  • The personal quest for Hell Pit should now properly auto-drop when the event ends.
    • Known issue: The quest does not drop if players have it in a completed state. We do not recommend trying to get a head start on future runs of this event in that way, because it will not allow more than 21 daily completions per event.
  • There should no longer be a chance for players to lose the ability to participate in this event, if they drop the quest in certain unexpected ways.
    • Known issue: If a player accepts the Hell Pit quest, then deletes the character before they complete it and turn the quest in, they will be unable to accept the quest on any other character on the account.

Calendar

  • The event calendar has been updated through late May. As always, event timing is subject to change.

 

Content and Environment

Sharandar

  • The Bashin’ Ordur Treasurer can now have his treasures taken from him by players with Thievery Kits! He carries treasure appropriate for all classes in Neverwinter, so be on the lookout for him.
  • The minimap should now be less visually offset.

Vault of Stars

  • Corpse Flowers will no longer prevent the player from advancing after the maze by remaining in combat indefinitely.
  • The achievement, Elusive Prey, can once again properly be completed if a player had previously failed its associated mechanic.
  • The achievement, Wish upon a Star, should now grant a title. Anyone who has already completed this achievement will receive the title upon entering the dungeon.
  • The Queen of Air and Darkness no longer repeats a voice line for every player who enters the maze.

Protector’s Enclave

  • The mount merchant has found a cozy new place to relax where he won’t obstruct any of the new mounts.

Legacy Content

  • Blackdagger Ruins: The scuttled ship should be in a less inconvenient location around Garl Gnarlclaw.
  • Neverdeath Graveyard: Clockwork Tomb: The clocks no longer show some super weird blocky planes.
  • The “Epic Hero” mail received at level 60 now properly guides players to appropriate content.

Queues

  • Master of the Hunt, from the initial Fury of the Feywild release, now properly awards new campaign currency.

  • Ring of Fowl Weather: This ring may now show improved visual effects

Classes and Balance

  • Cleric (Arbiter): Sacred Flame now properly deals 100 Magnitude of damage.
  • Ranger (Warden): Cordon of Arrows: Strong Grasping Roots should now properly be applied earlier, and properly spread to nearby targets.
  • Rogue (Assassin): Duelist’s Flurry: Path of the Blade can now only proc Duelist’s Shadow on the initial cast, rather than also through later damage events.

Companion Powers

  • Blurred Vision now properly applies its effect.
  • Deceptive Insight now properly applies Combined Ratings.
  • Dulled Senses now properly applies its effect.

  • Runners and Hounds of the Hunt from the Master of the Hunt Skirmish now deal the appropriate damage with their melee attacks. (This has increased their damage.)

 

Tomb of the Nine Gods

  • Bigby’s Grasping Hand now has less health.
  • Ras Nsi’s Atropal Cry power now deals less base damage.
  • Ras Nsi’s applied vulnerability now makes affected characters 10% more vulnerable, reduced from 25% more vulnerable.

 

Tower of the Mad Mage

  • Halaster’s Electrified Floor no longer deals 0 damage.

 

Zariel’s Challenge (Normal)

  • Zariel’s Sword Portals have had their blades sharpened again. They had gotten a bit dull after so much use.

  • Rank 1 of Tymora’s Spinning Coin now has stats appropriate for the updated combat system.
  • Siegebreaker’s Banner now grants 5000 Critical Avoidance and 5000 Critical Severity at Max Quality, up from 2500.

 

Artifact Equipment

  • Warlock weapons: The artifact modification that previously improved Essence Defiler now properly increases the healing of Infernal Barrier by 10%.
    • Players may need to unequip and re-equip the item for this change to apply.

 

Equipment

  • Lion Guard’s Armor for Rogues now grant the correct Combined Ratings.
  • Lion Guard’s Raid Hat’s name been corrected from “Nightshade’s Raid Hat”.
  • More pieces of Companion gear can now properly be converted to Refinement Points.
  • The new gear for Episode 2, which had started dropping early, now has the correct stats, names, and icons.

 

Items

  • All Mythic quality mounts should consistently show the extra-safe discard prompt upon attempted discard.
  • Lliira’s Bell items can no longer be unequipped while they’re on cooldown.
  • Mount Collars no longer give Item Level even when they’re not equipped to an active mount.
  • Prestine Rings have been polished and are now Pristine Rings instead.
  • Seal of the Dark Fey can no longer be received.
  • Seed Bread: This food now shows correct values in its tooltip.

Lockboxes

  • The Enchanting Lockbox is now supposed to be available as of this update. Several bugs have been fixed since the accidental brief release earlier this week.

Professions

  • Dragon Eggs (an obsolete Professions material) can no longer be purchased from the Dragon Scale Merchant.

PvP Leaderboard Compensation

  • Have you or a loved one been subject to PvP leaderboard progress loss in the previous season? You may be entitled to compensation.
  • Qualification criteria:
    • A character had played in any of the three standard 5v5 PvP Domination maps between March 11, 2021 at 7:00 AM PST, and April 8, 2021 at 7:00 AM PDT.
    • That character had also participated in the “Fight of the Fowls” PvP queue between April 1, 2021 at 07:30 AM PDT, and April 8, 2021 at 7:00 AM PDT.
  • If any character on your account qualifies, you will receive an in-game mail when this patch goes live containing a Coalescent Ward for each character on the account that fits the above criteria.

Rewards

  • Manycoins Bank Heist now has a chance to drop the Apocalypse Dagger at Silver and Gold ranks.
    • Previously, this could drop for players who had completed the Portobello’s Game campaign. Now, it’s open to all.
    • Starting with this patch, drops of this artifact will be Bind on Equip instead of Bind on Pickup. (Existing daggers are still bound.)

Race Unlocks

  • Race unlocks should once again function more consistently. (We’re still looking into reported issues with the token granted by the Metallic Dragonborn Race Reroll Bundle.)

Vendors

  • Sharandar Campaign Store: Shattered Diamonds are now properly sold in batches of 1 for 1,000 of the appropriate currency, rather than batches of 20 for 20,000.

Zen Market

  • Players who had previously purchased the Frost Mimic companion can now reclaim it on other characters on the same account even outside the Winter seasonal event.

User Interface

HUD

  • Quest givers no longer incorrectly show a “Quest Available” indicator if all their quests are blocked by other requirements.

PvP

  • PvP wins no longer also add to the loss counter.

 

Character Art

General

  • Guised Wristguard of the Wyrm no longer causes the player character’s hands to disappear.

Player Appearance

  • An unexpected hairstyle is no longer available in character creation or the Tower of Augmentation. Characters who have this hair are expected to be able to keep it until the next time they change their appearance at the Tower of Augmentation.

Performance and Stability

General

  • Players should be significantly less likely to stall in patching.

Microsoft Giving Developers a Bigger Store Cut as New Commitment Plans Are Revealed

Looks like Microsoft is gearing up to make things better for game developers on their store front, as the company updates their Microsoft Store terms for PC Developers in an effort to bring more games to their side.

In an article over at Xbox.com, Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty discussed the changes — starting with increasing sales revenues for the developers.

As part of our commitment to empower every PC game creator to achieve more, starting on August 1 the developer share of Microsoft Store PC games sales net revenue will increase to 88%, from 70%. A clear, no-strings-attached revenue share means developers can bring more games to more players and find greater commercial success from doing so.

Booty also emphasized that Microsoft will empower the developers with the technology needed to deliver the best experience to the masses

Titanfall 2 PC Player Count Skyrockets to 650% With Over 16,000 Concurrent Players

Hold on to your seats, Pilots, as it seems Respawn Entertainment’s excellent Titanfall 2 is getting a second wind on PC! The Titanfall 2 PC player count has seen a massive spike in the past few days, as it saw an all-time high with a 650% increase in two consecutive days.

From a 1,940 daily users in March, SteamDB—a statistical tracker for games sold in Steam—recorded 6,815 on an average 30-day users going online. Last March the single-day count was only at 2,673. However, in a sudden surge that brought the game in its record-number, Titanfall 2 saw the highest single-day count for online players that reached a total of 16,974 users with a 24-hour average of 11,446 users logging in.

The last highest peak of single-day count was June 2020 of last year with 13,603 users online, following a 9,200 average peak that month.

The sudden surge can be contributed to a recent 75% off sale on Steam last week on April 17, as well as constant updates from Apex Legends that is said to feature a legend coming from Titanfall.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Made Me Excited to Visit Norway

If you’ve ever played Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, then you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say it got me excited about visiting Norway for the first time. The game starts in Norway, presenting you with a huge map to explore. It’s a vast area of islands to travel between, all of which have things to collect and enemies to kill across them. It’s one of the most exciting game worlds I’ve ever come across, and it’s basically a tutorial.

Noway isn’t an area of the world that has ever fascinated me before this game. It presents a world of mountains, snow, and a harsh environment that’s incredibly difficult to eke out a living in. While that all seems horrible, it’s also one of the best game worlds I’ve ever been in. It fits perfectly in the Assassin’s Creed franchise as well. There are mountains to climb and far-off places to go and see. There’s so much to explore, and that’s the essence of what makes a great entry to this franchise.

I think what I love most about this version of Norway, and what makes me want to visit it, is that it’s based on the Norway that Vikings lived in. This is a world that is filled with bloodshed and honor. It’s a world that we can only get a glimpse of through relics of the past today. Modern-day Norway is very different. For example, online slot games are popular in Norway today. So much so that sites like casinofavoritter.com offer people the chance to read tips and tricks on how to win them. That’s a crazy transition that I don’t think anyone could have expected.

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that I’d like to visit Norway based on what I’ve seen in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla alone. The things that stand out to me are climbing, exploring, and seeing the northern lights. These are all things that I’ve got very few chances of catching in my home in the UK. Not unless the sun does something crazy and causes the northern lights to travel pretty far south.

For a game to make you want to visit a real-life location, I think that just how well-made it is. Ubisoft always puts a lot of effort into creating its game worlds. Teams travel around the world to research than and learn about them to accurately portray everything. Hopefully, Ubisoft will continue to do this with the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and we’ll all want to visit more places thanks to the games we play.

New Warframe Reveal Set for April 30

Warframe developers, Digital Extremes, will be going live for a devstream on Twitch this Friday, April 30 2021 at 2PM ET, as they reveal the new Warframe that’s headed in the next update.

In an announcement and a call to get community questions for their next live stream, developers of the hit, free-to-play, first person shooter have scheduled a devstream to show off new character for the first time, along with its name, and the abilities it will come to possess as it drops in an upcoming 30.5 Update.

The devstream is also set to talk about the latest Call of Tempestarii and answer community questions that are asked on the forum.

The devs will be streaming from their official channel as viewers will be rewarded 3x Scintilliant as Twitch drops. Community questions are still up until the morning of April 30, 10AM ET.

Last April 15 saw patch fixes after a Call of Tempestarii update.

Warzone Survey Hints at New Fast Travel System

There’s a new Call of Duty: Warzone survey that’s being pushed out to players, and one interesting questions points to the existence of a new fast travel system in Verdansk ’84.

While it’s not uncommon for a survey to ask for feedback on potential upcoming features, one notable question in the survey (image here from Reddit) that has the community talking is one pertaining to features that came with the “new” Verdansk 84 map. 

“You mentioned that you were satisfied with Verdansk ’84. What aspects of the updated map did you MOST enjoy? Please rank up to 3, ‘1’ being what you MOST enjoyed”

It then lists a set of answers that you can choose from, with all but one being publicly known. This question, apparently indicates the existence of a new fast travel system in Warzone that is tied to “Red Doors.” For those unaware, Red Door was the codename given to Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which we revealed last year in a leak. Those that also paid attention to Verdansk ’84 map reveal, there was also a red door at the end of the trailer.

As far as we know, there is no new fast traveling system (just the old train system), or at least one that players have found yet. This could either be a mistake on the survey part, or perhaps the method to accessing said fast travel system is yet to be found. Either that, or Raven Software has yet to implement it and this is a slip up on the survey. 

With this knowledge now out there, chances are players are gonna be digging real deep to try and uncover these red doors. We’ll be sure to update you all should anything be discovered.

BUG FIXES

General

  • Fixed a bug that caused statistics on the Career Profile screen to extend off-screen

Yep, that’s the only thing outlined by Blizzard for today’s patch. However, there were also hero-related changes made on April 22, which we’ve also listed below as well.

Hero Changes Made on April 22:

HERO UPDATES

Baptiste
We are reducing Immortality Field’s minimum health threshold and Baptiste’s area-of-effect healing output as they were providing too much value overall for closely grouped teams. However, direct impacts with the healing grenade projectiles will now grant additional healing to the impacted ally to keep his single target healing effective, with a slightly higher skill requirement.

Biotic Launcher (Secondary Fire)

  • Healing projectile explosion reduced from 60 to 50 health
  • Healing projectile direct impact now restores an additional 20 health

Immortality Field

  • Now protects teammates to a minimum health threshold of 10% maximum health, down from 20%

D.Va
D.Va’s respawn is often intentionally delayed by the enemy team if she is the last player alive from her team and without her mech. This change will make it more dangerous to be near the Call Mech arrival area for low health heroes.

Call Mech

  • Damage increased from 50 to 250

Echo
This is a change picked up from the Community Experimental card. Since Echo gains an additional health pool through using her Duplicate ultimate, it seemed reasonable that she doesn’t need to be healed to full upon it ending as well. The minimum health value is there so she doesn’t instantly die to a small amount of damage when it ends, as often with a long duration ultimate it can be difficult to remember her starting health.

Duplicate

  • When Duplicate ends, Echo will return to the health value she had prior to activating the ability, or to 100 health, whichever is higher

Moira
Moira has been underperforming in the support role even in team compositions and metas where we’d expect her to excel. Reducing the cooldown of Biotic Orb is a significant increase in Moira’s potential to quickly adapt to many situations.

Biotic Orb

  • Cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds

Orisa
We’re reevaluating the cooldown for Orisa’s ‘Halt!’ ability after previous changes have reduced its effectiveness to combo with other heroes. We’ll keep a close eye on whether the increased frequency of this displacement ability ends up being too disruptive to gameplay.

Halt!

  • Cooldown reduced from 8 to 6 seconds

Reinhardt
Reinhardt has been overperforming since his last round of changes. To help increase tank diversity we are reverting his armor to its previous value while keeping the Rocket Hammer damage increase for now as it helps to balance out the reduced crowd control duration of Earthshatter.

General

  • Armor reduced from 250 to 200 (Health/armor total reduced from 550 to 500)

Roadhog
Roadhog is a hero who has been underperforming lately with not much changing about him since late last year when he had a more dominant presence, though the balance of other heroes has indeed shifted around. We’re partially reverting the reduction to his damage to help bring him back up to a more effective level.

Scrap Gun (Primary and Secondary Fire)

  • Damage per projectile increased from 6 to 6.6

Sombra
Sombra’s gameplay usually involves a lot of time waiting for opportune moments to strike and using the Translocator to disengage at a safe distance. Speeding up her movement in Stealth should help get her back into the action more quickly.

Stealth

  • Movement speed bonus increased from 50 to 65%

Prepare for some dark new blood hitting the world of Paladins: Champions of the Realm, as Evil Mojo Games and Hi-Rez Studios have released the Paladins new Champion teaser — which reveals the new playable champion in Vatu the Shadow!

As expected given this is an unannounced title update, Crystal Dynamics has only thing to note for today’s er, patch notes.

  • Stability improvements.

Yep, that’s all there is according to Crystal Dynamics (via Steam). There’s a chance the studio will outline more changes included in today’s patch, but chances are, that’s it. So nope, no major fix has been rolled out, but players can get more of that tasty stability.

New COD Warzone April 28 Update Includes Fixes for Adler Event & More

Those getting annoyed with a challenge for the on-going “Hunt for Alder” event in Call of Duty Warzone, Raven Software has just deployed a server-side fix! The new COD Warzone April 28 update is live now (via server-side), and includes a bunch of bug fixes and more. Head on below for the full details.

New COD Warzone April 28 Update Patch Notes:

GENERAL

  • The sizes of the first and second circles have been reduced for Verdansk Resurgence.
  • End-of-game open mic has been turned off for modes with infinite respawn mechanics. This was intended to take effect with the release of Season Three last week.

BUG FIXES

  • “Hunt for Adler” Limited-Time Event
    • Fixed a bug with Challenge completion not tracking as intended.
    • Fixed a bug causing Intel to spawn outside of the playable map.
  • Fixed several map locations in Verdansk that allowed players to reach out-of-bounds areas.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause gas mask overlays to remain on screen indefinitely if a player exited the gas as their gas mask was fully depleted.
  • Fixed a bug where the epic loot M82 Semi-Auto Sniper was incorrectly labeled as thermal.
  • Fixed a bug where the Modern Warfare “Razorwire” Submachine Gun Charlie blueprint could appear in loot caches.
  • The R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow has had its reload audio restored.
  • Fixed a bug that disallowed players from exiting the plane in Battle Royale Practice mode.
  • The explosion in Verdansk’s vista no longer dances around when viewed from different angles. Thanks Geeky P.

Raven Software has also shared a sneak peek at some of the things set to come in Warzone too!

  • A sneak peek at some upcoming changes…
    • Balance adjustments to the CR-56 AMAX, FARA 83, and Bullfrog.
    • Changes to ADS Firing Speed on Cold War attachments.

No clue yet whether these upcoming changes are coming via server-side too or as an actual client patch. Once it’s out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
