I. New System
New System: Serenitea Pot
◇ Adepti use Serenitea Pots as media through which they can channel their adeptal power and create realms and abodes.
As the owner of this realm, you may decorate it however you wish and turn it into a home away from home.
After using and summoning the Serenitea Pot, you can interact with it and enter the abode within.
You can also use and summon the pot while you are within its confines. Interacting with the Serenitea Pot in this state will allow you to leave it.
You can also directly open the map interface and fast travel to any of the Teleport Waypoints to immediately leave the Serenitea Pot.
Teapot Spirit
A spirit that lives inside the teapot. It is said that she was created by the adepti themselves. She looks after many matters within the realm, serving as a butler of sorts.
Trust Rank
As you create more furnishings for the first time, the teapot spirit’s Trust in you will increase. Accumulate Trust to increase your Trust Rank.
Increasing Trust Rank will unlock features for the Serenitea Pot or allow you to obtain various rewards.
Adeptal Energy
The amount of Adeptal Energy within the realm will gradually increase along with the number of furnishings placed.
Once a new Adeptal Energy Rank is reached, the realm’s output will also increase.

Realm Depot
You can use Realm Currency in the Serenitea Pot to exchange for items of your choice.
During the Teapot Traveling Salesman’s visits, you can also enter other realms to exchange with Salesmen within them for desired items.

II. New Characters
5-Star Character “Dance of the Shimmering Wave” Eula (Cryo)
◇ Vision: Cryo
◇ Weapon: Claymore
◇ The Spindrift Knight, a scion of the old aristocracy, and the Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. The reason for which a descendant of the ancient nobles might join the Knights remains a great mystery in Mondstadt to this very day.
◆ Tapping Eula’s Elemental Skill “Icetide Vortex” deals Cryo DMG and provides Eula with the Grimheart effect. Holding her Elemental Skill consumes all the stacks of Grimheart and deals AoE Cryo DMG to opponents in front of her. When the Grimheart stacks are consumed, surrounding opponents will have their Physical RES and Cryo RES decreased. Each consumed stack of Grimheart will be converted into an Icewhirl Brand that deals Cryo DMG to nearby opponents.
Eula’s Elemental Burst “Glacial Illumination” deals AoE Cryo DMG and creates a Lightfall Sword that follows her around. After this, when Eula’s own Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst deal DMG to opponents, they will charge the Lightfall Sword. Once its duration ends, the Lightfall Sword will descend and explode violently, dealing Physical DMG that scales on the number of energy stacks the Lightfall Sword has accumulated.
*”Dance of the Shimmering Wave” Eula (Cryo) will be available in a future event wish.

4-Star Character “Wise Innocence” Yanfei
◇ Vision: Pyro
◇ Weapon: Catalyst
◇ A well-known legal adviser active in Liyue Harbor. A brilliant young lady in whose veins runs the blood of an illuminated beast.
◆ Yanfei’s Normal Attack has a Scarlet Seal effect. While Scarlet Seals are present, Yanfei’s Stamina consumption is decreased. A Charged Attack consumes all Scarlet Seals, with the AoE and DMG of the attack increasing according to the amount of Scarlet Seals consumed.
Yanfei’s Elemental Skill “Signed Edict” deals AoE Pyro DMG. Hitting opponents with the flames grants Yanfei the maximum number of Scarlet Seals.
Yanfei’s Elemental Burst “Done Deal” deals AoE Pyro DMG, granting Yanfei the maximum number of Scarlet Seals and applying the Brilliance effect to her. While Brilliance is in effect, Yanfei’s Charged Attack DMG is increased and she is granted a Scarlet Seal at fixed intervals.
*In the event wish “Gentry of Hermitage,” “Wise Innocence” Yanfei (Pyro) will receive a huge drop-rate boost!

III. New Equipment
▌ New Weapon
Song of Broken Pines (5-Star Claymore)
◆ A part of the “Millennial Movement” that wanders amidst the winds. Increases the wielder’s ATK. When Normal or Charged Attacks hit opponents, the character gains a Sigil of Whispers. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When you possess 4 Sigils of Whispers, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the “Millennial Movement: Banner-Hymn” effect for 12s. This effect increases Normal ATK SPD and ATK. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Whispers for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.

▌ New Artifacts
Tenacity of the Millelith (4-Star and 5-Star)
◇ 2-Piece Set: HP is increased.
◇ 4-Piece Set: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased and their Shield Strength is increased for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. 2-Piece Set: Physical DMG is increased.
4-Piece Set: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, ATK is increased for 7s. This effect stacks up to 2 times and can be triggered once every 0.3s. Once 2 stacks are reached, the 2-set effect is increased by 100%.

IV. New Domains

Use Charged Attacks to redirect the Frostfruits back at the Cryo Hypostasis to knock it out of its regenerative state swiftly.

2. Azhdaha
◇ An enormous dragon as ancient as the mountains themselves.
In an age that has all but faded from memory, he stood shoulder to shoulder with one who ruled over a harbor of stone. But in the end, the two came into conflict, and the dragon was banished to a dark place deep underground. Over the long years of his imprisonment, his power has slowly dissipated. He has also become disfigured from the various kinds of erosion he has been subjected to.

DENON & Marantz Offering Free HDMI Adapter to Fix Xbox Series and PS5 HDMI 2.1 Bug With Receivers

If you are one of the many who recently bought either a DENON or Marantz audio receiver that supports 4K120fps and 8K video output, you may have noticed some compatibility issues with both the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Specifically, the receivers having troubles outputting those options when running with HDMI 2.1 on PS5 and Xbox Series. Well, turns out there’s a fix, though it involves more hardware.

As announced on both the DENON and Marantz websites, owners of any of the affected audio receivers (listed down below) are now qualified to receive a free SPK618 HDMI adapter, the solution to allow full 4K120fps and 8K video format through the receivers.

The SPK618 HDMI adapter solution is designed to remedy a compatibility issue between select Denon A/V receivers that support 4K/120Hz and 8K video resolutions and select gaming consoles that support 4K/120Hz and 8K video resolution output. If you experience a black screen and no audio when trying to pass through 4K/120Hz or 8K signals from gaming devices connected to the 8K input of the Denon A/V receiver, this adapter will help you to get a proper gaming experience. You will be able to register on this page starting May 15th to receive the SPK618 HDMI adapter at no cost.

Receivers with known issue

  • Denon AVR-A110
  • Denon AVR-X6700H
  • Denon AVR-X4700H
  • Denon AVR-X3700H
  • Denon AVR-X2700H
  • Denon AVR-S960H
  • Marantz AV7706
  • Marantz SR8015
  • Marantz SR7015
  • Marantz SR6015
  • Marantz SR5015
  • Marantz NR1711

If you own any of these receivers and are experiencing black screen when trying to output content at 4K with 120fps, then it’s highly recommended to register for the adapter. Of course adding more hardware to what is already most likely a cramped space may not be ideal, but it’s definitely better than having to buy a whole new set.

As noted on the sites, registration to receive the SPK618 HDMI adapter won’t start until May 15.

Watch Dogs: Legion Upcoming Update 4.0 Delayed

Looks like Watch Dogs: Legion players will have to wait until next week to play the new set of content coming with the latest patch for the game, as Watch Dogs Legion upcoming  update 4.0 has been delayed to May 4 due to an issue concerning hostile NPCs and drones constantly spawning.

Here’s the update released by the Watch Dogs team on social media.

Here’s the transcript of the message the developers released concerning the delay.

“Our team is hard at work finishing the next Title Update 4.0, which was scheduled to go out in late April. While working on the different pieces of content, we encountered some issues that we needed to address before deploying the update. We want the quality of this update to be in the best shape it can be. As such, we’ve made the decision to push the release date to May 4 to ensure a great launch.

This will allow us to continue our work on fixes for bugs that have been reported by our players via our Watch Dogs: Legion Bug Reporter, as TU 4.0 will also include more game improvements.”

Last time we reported on update 1.15 released two weeks ago for the game. You can check out the notes on that here.

PSN Down Today April 27, Online Multiplayer Not Working (Update)

It looks like Sony’s PlayStation servers are having a bit of an issue again, as PSN down reports are flooding in! While some gamers can download games, and even access the PlayStation Store, online multiplayer doesn’t seem to be working.

Testing on our end, we can confirm that at least a few staff members cannot login to the PlayStation Network.

Unfortunately, the official PlayStation support Twitter account has not acknowledged any downtime as of now, and even the official PlayStation Network site says “All Servies Are Up and Running” (no, they are not).

Over on Twitter, multiple reports have started flooding in stating that PSN is down, and no one knows why.

If you’re able to login and play online, share where you’re from! Hopefully, this gets sorted out soon. We’ll be updating the post throughout the day as more info becomes available, so make sure to check back regularly.

Update: Sony has acknowleged the issues on the official PSN site! We’ll have more info as it becomes available.

Update #2: It seems things have been sorted! Sony’s PSN page says all services are up and running! Game on, people!

Dying Light 2 Won’t Have Modern Guns or Drivable Vehicles Confirmed

Techland takes the Internet’s burning questions about the upcoming survival, horror, action game, Dying Light 2 in their first episode of an “Ask Me Anything.” The eight-question revelations from Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala include, most notably, that there will be no modern firearms that can be equipped in the game nor will there be drivable vehicles.

“It’s a World War, the civilization is destroyed,” said Smektala in the YouTube release of the episode. “It’s gone so actually no one is able to create, like, professional firearms.”

However, besides possessing bows and other ranged weapons, the closest thing to equipping a bullet-filled metal is through a handmade, craft-able shotgun. The shotgun can be equipped with the left hand, while also being able to equip a melee weapon on the right, making for unique combat combinations. The shotgun is not permanent and can be destroyed after multiple use.

Drivable vehicles will also be non-existent, solidifying the theme of a destroyed civilization, as travel and parkour will be the game’s main points of adventuring throughout a map that was mentioned to be twice as large.

Other features highlighted include a new design towards the game’s grappling hook that uses a motion that’s “more Tarzan” and “less Spider-Man.”

Watch the entire video here:

Last month, Techland released an update that assures fans of its process and continued development for Dying Light 2.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Developers Say the Sequel Is the Best Looking Video Game Ever

Leave it to Insomniac Games to tease high expectations for the next installment in the Ratchet & Clank series, as the Ratchet & Clank : Rift Apart developers say that the sequel is the best looking video game ever!

Taking to their respective twitter accounts to share their insights about the upcoming PS5 game, principal designer Drew Murray and community director James Stevenson.

Murray wrote on his own Twitter.

“This is the best-looking video game ever made. Period. It won’t be forever, of course, but on June 11, I 100% stand behind that statement. And I say that having had literally no hand in making it, just observing with awe since I returned to @insomniacgames. #stunning”

Stevenson on the other hand shared his own exciting thoughts as well.

“I’ve played through the game at home on my 77″ OLED. It’s the best looking video game I’ve ever seen. The team has knocked this out of the park to create a PS5 showpiece.”

Earlier today, Insomniac Games released a brand new gameplay trailer for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart — which features the new character Rive as well as glossing over some new information about the game.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released exclusively on the PS5 on June 11.

Apex Legends Olympus Map Update Breakdown Revealed

Coming in Apex Legends: Legacy this May 4, is a map revamp of Olympus! If you’re curious what changes are coming, Respawn Lead Level Designer Dave Osei has given us an Apex Legends Olympus map update breakdown.

Apex Legends Olympus Map Update Breakdown:

THE ICARUS

A rogue fleet of ships from outer space has breached the atmosphere of Psamathe. Its lead vessel, The Icarus, has docked with Olympus, bringing with it a viscous, parasitic plant of unknown origin. The resulting outbreak begins to take root along the surface of Olympus and the accompanying vessels can be seen from as far away as the Docks.

SMALL TWEAKS

Before releasing Olympus, we tested a version of the map with no redeploy balloons. At the time, we felt that Tridents were powerful rotational tools on their own, but we weren’t confident in that decision, so we left redeploy balloons in.

Now that the map has been live for a while, we feel more confident in how Tridents are being used to facilitate rotations players are taking, so we’re removing two redeploy balloons. In short, we’re doing this to push players to better plan their routes. But a change like this begs explanation, so let’s dig into the details.

The redeploy balloon outside Golden Gardens was perfect for dropping onto unsuspecting players in many zones close by, exacerbating the “third-partying issue” many players find frustrating. With the height of the zone and the position of the balloon, players could land on top of squads in Grow Towers, Energy Depot, Hammond Labs and the infamous choke at Phase Gateway Central. We believe it was too powerful of a rotation option with very few drawbacks.

While we considered simply lowering the balloon, we realized we’d have to make significant reductions in height to reduce its rotation strength, so we decided it would simply be better to remove it. Players can still move forward to the Energy Depot redeploy balloon for just as much power in rotations, but with a little more risk of entering the zone.

For comparison screenshots and more, head on over here. Check out gameplay of Apex Legends: Legacy right here, and don’t forget, once the patch for this event is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts offer even more adaptability to your characters in the face of the Wasteland’s ever-growing threats by allowing you to modify or completely reboot your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes for free.

  • Visit a “Punch Card Machine” at any time to adjust your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. to your heart’s content, change your Perk Card selections, and save your new custom setup into a slot.
    • Your characters will gain access to S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts starting at level 25.
    • Currently, each character can have up to two S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadout slots, and you can swap between them using a Punch Card Machine.
    • In addition, you can rename your Loadout slots, which will help you quickly tell them apart.
  • At level 25, you’ll learn the plan to build a Punch Card Machine in your C.A.M.P. so that you can change up your Loadouts whenever you head home.
    • While in your C.A.M.P, open up the Build menu, navigate to the Crafting tab, select the Punch Card Machine, and place it down.
    • We’ve also placed Punch Card Machines at Train Stations throughout Appalachia, in The Crater, and at Foundation.
    • You can use any Punch Card Machines you find in other players’ C.A.M.P.s, as well.
  • We’ve removed the “Move-a-Point” option on the level-up screen, since S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts allow you to change your stats much more easily.

If you would like to learn even more about S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts, you can head here to watch our recent Dev Dive video or read our article on Fallout.com.

C.A.M.P. Slots

Have you ever found the perfect spot to start building a new Appalachian home, but you just couldn’t bring yourself to tear down your current C.A.M.P.? That difficult decision is a thing of the past with C.A.M.P. Slots, which allow you to build and maintain two C.A.M.P.s at once!

  • Each C.A.M.P. you construct is now saved as a C.A.M.P. Slot, which you can access and manage through the new “C.A.M.P. Slots” menu in the upper-left corner of the Map.
    • Currently, each of your characters will have access to two C.A.M.P. Slots: The C.A.M.P. you already have in-game, plus an additional Slot.
    • You can use the C.A.M.P. Slots menu to see all your current C.A.M.P. Slots, rename them, choose their Map icons, and decide whether your C.A.M.P. is visible to other players on the Map.
    • C.A.M.P. names are only visible to the player who built them.
  • You can have one active C.A.M.P. at a time, and all others will be considered “stored.”
    • Your active C.A.M.P.’s Map icon will appear gold to you.
    • If you enable your active C.A.M.P.’s Public Map Icon, it will appear on the map in white to other players. When the Public Map Icon is disabled, only you will be able to see it.
    • Only you will be able to see the icons for your stored C.A.M.P.s.
    • Additionally, powering a Vending Machine no longer automatically adds a Vendor icon to your C.A.M.P.’s location on the Map. Instead, you must set this yourself from using the C.A.M.P. Slots menu.
    • To change which C.A.M.P. you would like to use, head to the Map to click one of your C.A.M.P.s, or select it in the C.A.M.P. Slots menu, and then choose “Activate CAMP”
    • Your stored C.A.M.P.s will not load into the world, show icons to other players on the Map, or produce resources from Resource Generators.
Vending Machine and Display Case Updates
  • With the introduction of C.A.M.P. Slots, we have also made changes to the way Vending Machines and Display Cases work.
    • Your Vending Machines will have the same shared inventory across all your C.A.M.P.s, so that you will not need to reassign the items you would like to sell every time you build a new C.A.M.P.
    • We have also merged all Vending Machine item slots into a single pool, which means you will now be able to sell the maximum number of items with just one Vending Machine.
    • Other types of CAMP items, like Refrigerators and Fermenters, now also share their inventories across your different C.A.M.P.s.
    • Your Display Cases, however, are not shared across C.A.M.P.s, which will give you the ability to show off different items at each of your homes.
  • While we were working to implement C.A.M.P. Slots, we also added the ability to build and use Display Cases and Vending Machines inside of your Shelters.
    • Vending Machines in Shelters will share the same slots and item assignments as those you have built in your C.A.M.P.s.
    • Display Cases you build inside Shelters will allow you to assign different items from any Displays you may have in your C.A.M.P.
  • Finally, we’ve made an adjustment so that items you place into your Display Cases will no longer consume any of your C.A.M.P. build budget.

Dig even deeper into the C.A.M.P. Slots feature by heading here to watch our recent Dev Dive video or read our article on Fallout.com.

Daily Ops Expansion

Today’s update nearly doubles the amount of available Daily Ops content, with the addition of the new “Decryption” mode, as well as new locations, enemies, mutations, and rewards.

  • New Mode: Decryption
    • In Decryption Mode, you’re on a mission to disable three Radio Interceptors for Vernon Dodge.
    • To do this, you’ll need to hunt for three enemy “Code Carriers,” and then take them down to get a special code you can use to disable a Radio Interceptor.
    • Enemy waves you face will become more difficult after each Interceptor you disable, until you’ve killed the Daily Op boss and pulled the plug on the final Interceptor.
  • New Mutations
    • Enemies in Decryption have a new default Mutation, called Savage Strike, which makes their attacks more deadly and causes them to ignore your armor resistances.
    • We’ve also added several new Mutations to the randomized pool that can apply to enemies in any Daily Ops mode:
    • Group Regeneration: Enemies heal when grouped together.
    • Swift-Footed: Enemies have extra fast movement and melee attacks speeds.
    • Toxic Blood: On death, enemies leave behind poisonous hazard pool.
  • New Enemy Types
    • We’ve added Scorched, Mothman Cultists, and Mole Miners to the pool of randomized enemy types you may encounter in any Daily Ops mode.
  • New Locations
    • Fight your way through Vault 96, Watoga Raider Arena, and West Tek Research Center, all of which have been added to the randomized pool of locations for Daily Ops.
  • Rewards Updates
    • In this update for Daily Ops, we’re adding a host of new rewards, including new Covert Scout Armor, which has some built-in stealthy utility.
    • We’re also adding plans for the “Unstoppable Monster” and “Medical Malpractice” legendary weapons, and a variety of new plans for objects you can build in your C.A.M.P.
    • Following community feedback, we’ve also rebalanced Daily Ops rewards lists to give players a better chance at getting rare rewards.

Catch additional details about the Daily Ops Expansion by watching this Dev Dive video and reading our article on Fallout.com.

  • Hunt for the Treasure Hunter: Keep an eye on our Community Calendar for upcoming Hunt for the Treasure Hunter Weekends, because Treasure Hunter Mole Miners have found some new loot that you can claim for yourself.
User Interface
  • Aim Assist: We’ve added a new game setting for players who use controllers that will help them more easily snap their crosshairs to enemies and stay on target when aiming down the sights with ranged weapons.
  • Batch Crafting: You can now assemble, forge, cook, or manufacture an entire stack of an item all at once using a new slider that we’ve added when you’re crafting at a Workbench.
    • To do this, select the item you want to craft, and then adjust the slider to the quantity that you need.
  • World Activity Updates: The World Activity Menu now includes more than Daily Ops! It will now help you stay up-to-date with many more activities in the world, including active Nuke Zones, Events, and nearby player Vending Machines, giving you an easy way to find and Fast Travel to them.
