Hunt Showdown March 16 Update 1.8 for PC Now Live, Here Are the Patch Notes

Crytek has released the Hunt Showdown March 16 update 1.8 for PC today, and this one brings about a number of improvements and changes to the game! Check out the full Hunt Showdown March 16 update patch notes below.

Hunt Showdown March 16 Update Patch Notes | Hunt Showdown Update 1.8 Patch Notes:

Hunters,

1.8 will primarily be a service focused update. With this, we are introducing some tentative client and server performance fixes in the hope of alleviating some of the performance issues that have been encountered since Update 1.7.

We know there is a chance these will not be the magic bullet to resolve all performance related problems but we are hoping it is a step in the right direction.

This update will also include a number of changes and improvements across all maps, new tier 2 weapon lobby animations, changes to Cain and how he blends with the environment as well as some fixes to the first person view of certain hunters.

Server and Client performance improvements

We know that many of you have been experiencing performance issues since Update 1.7 and we want you to know we are committed to getting to the bottom of these and improving performance across the board. With this update, we are bringing some tentative improvements from both a server and client perspective. These changes are as follows:

Server Side
  • Improvements made on the server side to the physicalized entities in the world. This means we have reduced the processing costs attached to AI, Doors, chains and any other interactable object in the world.
  • Removed an unused component that could impact server performance.
  • Improvements made to spikes in performance that were caused by idle AI. These AI were using more recourses than needed so we have made some improvements to their cost on the server when idle. Please be aware, idle AI may have a slower reaction time than normal.
Client Side

We have made improvements to the way the game interacts with the Steam API. During a game session, we were calling some features of the Steam API every frame, this can be costly for some systems, so this resulted in a decrease in performance for some of you. We are hoping this change will help to alleviate some of the issues experienced.

Lightweight Profiler

We know that the above will not resolve the performance issues for everyone, so we are using this update as an opportunity to bring back the Lightweight profiler tool.

This tool will help us to further investigate the performance issues that some of you are having. We have added this as a user-friendly way to gather the data we need to further our investigations. Here is how it works:

  • Go to Hunt in the game library, and click on the cogwheel
  • Select properties from the dropdown menu
  • Go to the “Beta” tab
  • Enter the following code: 8q63K9CVmLnVdpgu
  • Make sure it shows as “Lightweight – Lightweight profiler” in the drop-down menu on the beta tab.
  • Close this and launch the game. Select “Play Lightweight Profiler”

We recommend not using this feature for extended periods of time as it can have a minor impact on performance, depending on your setup.

Once you have completed a session you will need to send 2 files (game.log and profiling/pipeline_stats.csv) to either our Community Managers or to our Customer Support team. These files can be quite large in some cases, especially if you use the profiler for several games in a row. please keep this in mind when sending the files to our team.

World
  • Doors can now open inward if you walk backwards while interacting with them.
  • All ‘Barn’ type fences have been overhauled.

AI
  • Grunts, Hives and Armoured will no longer react to stimulus in unison. This will give them a more natural feel.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Lebel and its variants to fall through the floor in some instances.

Below are the current known issues. This list is not complete but will be fully updated later today.

  • In some cases, weapons will come out of ADS randomly.
  • In some cases, players may experience desync when walking along edges or slopes.
  • In some cases, using ladders can teleport players or cause them to become stuck in other assets.
  • Poison effects from the hive and spider can persist even after their intended duration.
  • In some cases, when first starting the game, Hunters in the lobby may not load in correctly (only parts of the hunter are visible).
  • In some cases, an incorrect/placeholder death screen will appear when your hunter has been burned out (lost all health chunks to fire).
  • In some rare cases, dragon breath ammo can cause a player to burn immediately after being killed.
  • In some cases, when attempting to loot a hunter, a message can appear saying “Ammo full” which will prevent you from looting.
  • Quickplay: Picking up a small weapon while performing a switch to a larger weapon results in swapping the wrong item.
  • In some cases, activating a filter in the weapons screen will still show all weapons rather than the selected option.
  • Opening the map while moving the mouse to the left will cause your hunter to spin in place while the map is open.
  • Concertina wire can damage players through walls.
  • In some cases, if you are unable to loot a weapon it is because the client registers that it fell in a different place than is shown on the screen.
  • In some cases, switching to another weapon (looting) can result in the dropped weapon falling under the floor.
  • In some cases, crows may react to player noise later than intended. If there is a lot of occlusion between you and the crows, they can also be hard to hear.
  • In some cases, cancelling a reload will cause you to melee instead of shoot in cases where the right mouse button is held down.
  • In some cases, while in the “waiting for players” screen, it is possible for AI to attack.
  • In some cases, the banish state and extraction state can show the incorrect details. This is purely a visual issue. The normal status will continue as intended in the background.
  • In some cases, the UI can “hiccup” and may take some time to update meta-actions (buying/equipping/hiring hunters).
  • In some cases, when an enemy hunter survives a headshot from explosive ammo the “death from a headshot” audio can still be heard.
  • In some cases, killing a hunter right after they have been revived will cause them to drop the unselected weapon.
  • In some cases, the tabs in the main menu might not appear if you have a slow connection to the backend. Restarting the client should help with this.
  • In some cases, the Butcher bounty token can spawn below floors or stairs prevent you from collecting it.

That’s about it for the patch. Once a new title update or new content drop is announced, we’ll let our readers know. Stay tuned by bookmarking our Hunt Showdown game hub.

“The Quarry” Game by Supermassive Countdown Started; Short Teaser Unveiled on Instagram

Publisher 2K Games and developer Supermassive Games has put up a countdown website for The Quarry, a brand-new IP set to be officially revealed tomorrow! Check out the details on the countdown website as well as what could The Quarry possibly be below.

You can check out the website for yourself here, where a countdown timer for the official reveal has started. It will debut live tomorrow, March 17, during the following times:

  • 9:00 am PT
  • 12:00 pm ET
  • 4:00 pm GMT
  • 12:00 am HKT

Besides this, there’s not a ton more information on the site on the game and what’s it all about. Thankfully though, The Quarry has its Instagram page up, and they have a short teaser that showcases what this mysterious title is:

“𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓.” 🩸 Watch the reveal of #TheQuarry, an all-new horror experience from @SupermassiveGames and @2K coming this Summer.

Instagram link

The teaser features audio between police and some would-be camp counselors being questioned about an accident in the woods. It’s eeriely reminiscent of the Friday the 13th series, and given that the Instagram page uses the hashtag #summercamp , it would not be a stretch to say that The Quarry will take inspiration from these horror slashers involving adolescents in the woods.

Whatever it may end up being, remember to stay tuned here at MP1st tomorrow for the full reveal of The Quarry!

In this update, we are featuring a new handicap Test Feature that allows players to adjust a player’s starting lives, damage done, and damage taken. We are also testing adjustments to the behavior of thrown weapons that include how much they bounce off targets, and how quickly they despawn after becoming inactive. Share your feedback on our Twitter and Discord. More information can be found at brawlhalla.com/test-features.

We also are graduating the Thrown Clashes feature into the live game after receiving feedback from the community!

New Test Features:

Handicaps allow you to strengthen or weaken players on an individual basis by changing their starting lives, damage done, and damage taken.

To adjust handicaps:

  • Open a Custom or Offline lobby.
  • Go to Game Settings, and under “Lobby” there will be a new “Allow Handicaps” option.
  • After confirming these changes, bubbles will appear below each player showing which handicaps are affecting them.
  • Players can adjust handicaps by going to the party menu (“V” key or “X” button), or with a new hotkey (“[” key or left bumper).
  • The party leader can adjust handicaps for all players — but each client can also adjust their own handicaps as well.
  • This same rule is now applied to teams – any player can adjust what team they are on, instead of only the leader having control.

Players can increase/decrease handicaps separately for each player.

  • Adjust how much damage players dish out and receive, between 50% to 300%.
  • These changes stack multiplicatively with each other, and with the lobby-wide damage multiplier.

For several stock-based game modes, players are able to change how many lives each player starts with as well.

On each of the character select, Match Preview, and Scoreboard screens you can see what handicaps are applied to each player.

For our first round of Test Features targeting weapon item behavior, thrown weapons now bounce significantly less when colliding with targets, resulting in them becoming stationary much sooner. Along with this, thrown weapons also despawn much faster after becoming stationary. These changes together result in a significant decrease in the amount of time a weapon may be picked up again.

  • Thrown weapons bounce less and disappear faster.

Adjusted Test Features:
We have updated the Easy and Medium difficulties of the new bot logic to bring them closer to the current live Easy and Medium bots, as they were previously too difficult for the purpose of these lower settings.

  • We’ve adjusted the difficulty of Easy and Medium for the new bot logic.
  • Please let us know how the adjustments feel on Twitter and Discord!

Graduated Test Features:

Thanks to your feedback, the Throw Clash test feature has been graduated. Now your attacks that strike an opponent won’t trade or be interrupted by your target’s recently thrown weapon.

  • Throw Clashes are now live in all queues!

This patch targets the mobility of several overperforming weapons, as well as reducing the threat coverage on some of their key attacks. We have also increased the reward or decreased the risk for pivotal attacks on a few underperforming weapons. Several underperforming Legends have also received various improvements to their Signatures for either reduced risk or increased reward.

Axe

The previous adjustments to the Axe’s aerial kit reduced the acceleration that was allowed during the attacks, reducing the ability to change directions, slow down, or speed up after the attack was initiated. This patch further decreases the allowed acceleration, but also reduces the maximum travel speed allowed during the Neutral Air, Side Air, and Down Air. We have also reduced the threat coverage of the Neutral Light and threat coverage near the user for the Side Air, making it easier to dodge through or maneuver around these attacks.

  • Axe Neutral Light: Slightly decreased maximum horizontal and vertical threat coverage.
  • Axe Neutral Air: Decreased maximum travel speed allowed during the attack; Slightly decreased acceleration allowed during the attack.
  • Axe Side Air: Decreased threat coverage near the user; Decreased maximum travel speed allowed during the attack; Slightly decreased acceleration allowed during the attack.
  • Axe Down Air: Decreased maximum travel speed allowed during the attack; Slightly decreased acceleration allowed during the attack.

Blasters

Blasters Side Air has received an increase in Variable Force for better knockout potential, as this weapon could often struggle to finish stocks even when an opponent was heavily damaged. The Down Air now has a more vertical angle of knockback, affording new string routes at most damage ranges and combos at high damage ranges, while also improving the consistency of certain early gravity cancel options.

  • Blasters Side Air: Increased Force from 49 Fixed/42 Variable to 49 Fixed/44 Variable.
  • Blasters Down Air: Angle of knockback is now more vertical.

Hammer

In a similar fashion to the Axe kit, while the previous adjustments reduced the acceleration that was allowed during certain Hammer aerial attacks, we have also decreased the maximum travel speed allowed during the Hammer Neutral Air this time around. The Hammer Side Air has also received a similar reduction to threat coverage near the user, making it easier to dodge through or maneuver behind this attack.

  • Hammer Neutral Air: Decreased maximum travel speed allowed during the attack.
  • Hammer Side Air: Reduced threat coverage near the user.

Katars

The Katar Recovery attack would often struggle to score knockouts until very high damage ranges, so we have increased the Force to better fit its diagonal knockback angle.

  • Katars Recovery: Increased Force from 72 Fixed/48 Variable to 72 Fixed/50 Variable.

Spear

As one of the Spear’s main approach tools and starter attacks, we have decreased the Recover time on miss to bring the risk in line with its total duration and telegraphed movement.

  • Spear Side Light: Decreased Recover time on miss from 3 Fixed/10 Variable to 1 Fixed/10 Variable.

Sword

The Sword’s ground kit can rotate sizable threat coverage very quickly compared to other weapons, so we have increased the Recover time on miss for the Side Light for greater punish opportunities against this mobile attack. We have also increased the Time to Hit of the Sword Neutral Light to make it easier to contest this attack in the neutral game, and to open wider dodge windows during strings that involve this attack.

  • Sword Side Light: Increased Recover time on miss from 1 Fixed/21 Variable to 3 Fixed/21 Variable.
  • Sword Neutral Light: Increased Time to Hit from 5 to 6.

Isaiah

Isaiah’s Side Blasters now has greater Force to better fit its relative risk and lengthy total duration. We have also reduced the Minimum Charge time of Isaiah’s Neutral Cannon for quicker anti-air responses.

  • Isaiah Side Blasters: Increased Force from 60 Fixed/54 Variable to 65 Fixed/56 Variable.
  • Isaiah Neutral Cannon: Decreased Minimum Charge time from 13 to 12.

Lin Fei

Lin Fei’s Side Cannon and Neutral Katars have both received increased Damage to better match their total duration and high risk nature.

  • Lin Fei Side Cannon: Increased Damage from 21 to 24.
  • Lin Fei Neutral Katars: Increased Damage from 22 to 25.

Magyar

Magyar’s Neutral Greatsword and Neutral Hammer now have decreased Recover time on miss for less risk on these anti-air attacks.

  • Magyar Neutral Greatsword: Decreased total Recover time from 31 to 28.
  • Magyar Neutral Hammer: Decreased total Recover time from 28 to 23.

Zariel

We have reduced the grounded Recover Time on miss for Zariel’s Neutral Bow for less risk that better fits this low anti-air attack. The Down Gauntlets now has greater Force to better match its relatively low threat coverage.

  • Zariel Neutral Bow: Decreased total Recover time of the grounded animation on miss from 17 to 13.
  • Zariel Down Gauntlets: Increased Force from 55 Fixed/52 Variable to 58 Fixed/54 Variable.

  • Improved networking for Crew Battle games.

User Interface

  • Spectators now see up-to-date rematch information on the post-match Scoreboard screen.

Audio

  • Wwise implementation for Mac.

Art & Animation

  • Adjusted the Timber effects in Snake Eye’s Signature to sort behind all Legends after the bite animation in order to maintain visual clarity during combat.

User Experience

  • Fixed a bug where players who quit spectating a ranked match in the middle of the game could still get alerted about a rematch in the event that one happened.

User Interface

  • Fixed an issue in the Inventory where opening the Inventory and selecting a Title Reward (without clicking through the pages) would cause a different Title Reward to be selected.

Art & Animation

  • Fixed a visual bug where a speck of color wasn’t swapping on a few assets that were using the padded hands set.
  • Fixed a shoulder misalignment in the Greatsword idle animation.

Returnal: Ascension – Tower of Sisyphus Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Ahead of its launch next week, Housemarque unveils the Returnal: Ascension Tower of Sisyphus gameplay trailer, showcasing players what they can expect from this hefty new addition to the game! Check out the gameplay trailer below.

Join Housemarque as they play through Returnal: Ascension – Tower of Sisyphus, an ascending gauntlet of increasingly dangerous phases coming to Returnal on March 22, 2022

Rather than being a short trailer, this new gameplay trailer for the Tower of Sisyphus in Returnal: Ascension clocks in at nearly 19 minutes. With tons of new footage, this should get players excited for what is essentially the game’s endless mode.

As detailed in their last entry for PlayStation Blog, here are some more details on the Tower of Sisyphus:

True to our arcade roots, the Tower of Sisyphus is effectively our Endless mode. Players will strive to ascend the Tower as high as possible – however, much like the tragic story of Sisyphus, there is no end to the climb and players are tragically destined to meet their demise as the mode gets increasingly harder. The only question is: how far can you get before succumbing?

One great motivator for pushing forward is a sense of accomplishment. Each Phase in the Tower will culminate with an encounter with Algos, which will also get increasingly harder as you advance through the mode. Unlike the campaign, in the Tower players will also have a score to chase. You can track your progress and highest score on a leaderboard, and compete against your friends and foes for the highest rank. Much like our previous arcade-inspired titles, you will also have a Score Multiplier – keeping this up and increasing it will be the key to racking up the highest possible scores. Your Multiplier will deplete if you get hit or if you don’t deal damage for a while, so you’ll need to be constantly dancing on the knife’s edge to ensure you maintain strong forward momentum. While there are secrets and optional routes to take, the Tower is intended to be Returnal distilled into an arcade action experience, where the emphasis is on survival, skill, and focused progression.

Returnal: Ascension comes to PlayStation consoles as a free update this March 22. Stay tuned here at MP1st for the complete patch notes once this new update comes around!

Black Desert Online Update 2.29 Out for Nightmare Kzarka & More This March 16

Pearl Abyss has released the Black Desert Online update 2.29 March 16 patch today, and this one adds the Nightmare Kzarka boss plus the usual round of changes and fixes! Check out the full Black Desert Online March 16 patch notes below.

Black Desert Online Update 2.29 Patch Notes | Black Desert Online March 16 Update Patch Notes:

Adventurers,

A new update is here, bringing the first enhanced World Boss, Nightmare Kzarka, new life skill changes and more! Read on to find out what is coming in the March 16th Update.

Nightmarish Kzarka

● Kzarka, bereft of his soul by Illezra—who brought the Three Days of Darkness upon Mediah, has begun to consume the adventurers who stand in the way of his Ritual of Resurrection. On the days his rage reaches its peak, he erupts into his more powerful “Nightmarish Kzarka” form, and darkness will shroud the skies of Serendia.

– During the appearance of Nightmarish Kzarka, a greater darkness shrouds Serendia. The Lord of Serendia is looking for powerful adventurers that can vanquish this darkness.
– Nightmarish Kzarka is much more powerful than the regular Kzarka but he will drop more valuable loot. You can obtain up to TET (IV) Kzarka Main Weapon (+0, I, II, III, IV) and also have an increased chance of getting Belongings of an Adventurer, Gold Bar (up to 1KG), or a type of Magical Black Stone.
– The Season Pass quest to defeat Kzarka will not be completed when you defeat him as Nightmarish Kzarka is considered a unique monster.

Known to many by the title “KeeezAaannng!”, the World Boss Kzarka will now occasionally appear in a new form. The newly created Nightmarish Kzarka comes back in force to reclaim its old fame as the first World Boss of Black Desert. The renewal of a World Boss was quite the challenge, especially since adventurers have been asking about it for quite some time now. We didn’t want to radically change things by shooting up the difficulty level, so we decided to make Nightmarish Kzarka appear by chance and retained some of the experience with the Kzarka we are familiar with. (We have plans to renew other World Bosses as well, but we might approach it differently from how we’ve handled Kzarka. E.g.) Boss appearing only during the evening or only appearing when a group of adventurers join up.) Nightmarish Kzarka will drop better loot compared to the regular Kzarka. But beware, as Nightmarish Kzarka is much more challenging than its previous form.

Improved Kill Notifications

● Added a new look notification to show when a player kills another player. This new notification will appear in Guild Wars, Node and Conquest War, Red Battlefield and other types of kills.
– Kill notifications can be moved and turned on/off in UI Edit Mode.

Killing another player no matter what can be considered an achievement, and as such we are improving the notification to give a sense of satisfaction when slaying other players.

Life Content Changes

● Life Skill related content has been reorganized.

– Life skill mastery scaling has been adjusted.
– The prices of various gathered items has been increased.
– New Daily/Guild quests have been added, with a focus on life skills.

For more information, please check out 3/16 Patch Notes Part 2.

– You need 10,000 Agris Fever points to accept each of the aforementioned quests. Accepting the quests will immediately consume 10,000 Agris Fever points. Please take note that you will not be able to get your points back even if you forfeit the quests.
– You can accept each of the aforementioned quests from the Vaha’s Time Capsule NPC located at Vaha’s Paradise. You can instantly complete the quests by talking to the NPC.

Life Skill Improvements

This update focused on increasing income through Gathering and making Life Mastery more accessible. First off, many of our Adventurers requested that we reduce the difficulty in getting Mastery by giving more through leveling Life Skills but keep the current cap. So, we reduced the Mastery increased after Guru 21 and divided that amount to be earned between the levels of Apprentice 1 and Professional 10. Through this change, Adventurers can gain up to 150 Mastery without needing to reach the highest level. The increase to Mastery will also impact the income earned through Life Skills as well. We also adjusted the number of drops and drop rates for weaker Gathering to match the higher income Gathering like Butchering. Furthermore, we have increased the prices of certain essential primary materials on the Central Market.

This week’s update marks the beginning of Life Skill improvements. We will continue to improve upon the income and accessibility of Life Skills. As for our Guru Adventurers, we realize you may feel that the update is unfair to you as the Mastery improvements didn’t do anything for you in particular even if your overall income has improved. However, we are preparing something special for each of the Life Skills, so we hope you will look forward to them.

● Adjusted the amount of Mastery increased per Life Skill level.

– Moved the Mastery +10 earned per level section from “Guru 21 to Guru 50” to “Apprentice 1 to Professional 10”.

– The total amount of Mastery that can be gained from Life Skill levels at the end of Guru 50 still remains that same at 800 Mastery.

Before After
Beginner 1 to 2 – Mastery +10 per level
Beginner 2 to Guru 20 – Mastery +5 per level
Guru 21 to Guru 50 – Mastery +10 per level
Beginner 1 to 2 – Mastery +10 per level

Beginner 2 to 10 – Mastery +5 per level

Apprentice 1 to Professional 10 – Mastery +10 per level

Artisan 1 to Guru 50 – Mastery +5 per level

* Due to the changes made to Mastery acquired at certain levels, the total Mastery earned at each level has changed to the following:

Level Before After
Apprentice1 55 60
Skilled1 105 160
Professional1 155 260
Artisan 1 205 355
Master 1 255 405
Guru 1 405 555
Guru 20 500 650
Guru 50 800 800

● Increased the chance of obtaining the following items through their respective gathering methods:

Gathering Details
Hoe Gathering 100% increase to fruit items
Lumbering 60% increase to Caphras Stone and Ancient Spirit Dust
Fluid Gathering 30% increase to Caphras and Ancient Spirit Dust

● Adjusted the max prices of items obtained through Gathering like Rough Stone, meats, and blood on the Central Market.

– Due to this change, the max prices of the following items were also increased on the Central Market.

Changes were made to the Hunting life skill content. First off, we improved the controls and actions of the characters with the matchlock equipped. We made it possible for Adventurers to gather, interact, and reload while crouching with a matchlock. You can now use Black Spirit Rage when you want. Additionally, Guru hunters will be able to fire an additional shot before needing to reload. On top of these changes, we also adjusted the loot drops for Hunting. And as we mentioned with Gathering, the Mastery earned by leveling Hunting was changed. Additionally, the amount of EXP gained by hunting wild animals was increased. We even added more items to drop via Hunting so Adventurers can really feel the difference when leveling Hunting. Lastly, the max prices of the stuffed animals, that can be obtain via Hunting and installed in residences for buffs, were increased on the Central Market.

● Improved the following action while holding a matchlock:

– The key to crouch was changed from A/X to LB/L1.

– Able to gather and interact while crouching.

– Able to reload the matchlock when moving while crouched.

– Changed the rolling forward action while crouched to a squatting pose.

– Able to jump over small walls and obstacles by pressing A/X while holding a matchlock.

– Improved to use 100% Black Spirit’s Rage at any time by pressing B/O.

● Increased the maximum number of bullets that can be loaded into a matchlock for Adventurers with Hunting Guru 1 or higher (Max 4 bullets).
● Increased the distance traveled by rolling.
● Improved the sliding motion to feel more impactful when performing a sliding shot by pressing RB/R1 while sprinting to shoot.
● Changed certain messages that said “musket” to “matchlock”
● Even if Hunting proficiency increases, it has been improved so that lower grade materials can still be collected.

you could only get the high-grade resources “Sharp Tooth” and “Supreme Hide” from it.

However, after this update, you will be able to get resources like “Intact Tooth”, “Usable Hide”, and other lower grade resources as well.

* The changes stated above do not affect the amount of loot dropped for the grade you were able to obtain before. The lower grade items are added on top of what you were able to get previously.

– Increased the amount of Griffon Claw dropped from 3 to 4 claws to 5 to 8 claws.

– Increased the drop rate of Spirit Pouch of Ferocious Beast to 100%.

– Increased the drop rate of Griffon Leather by 2 times.

– Increased the drop rate of Griffon Chandelier by around 2.5 times.

Improvements were made to the life skill guild missions. First, we removed categories that weren’t too easy to approach and added easier-to-approach categories such as Lamb Meat or Wolf Blood. Also, as mentioned earlier, we increased the overall Silver profits from life skill guild missions to emphasize individual rewards a bit more. We are also making improvements on guild missions for Fishing so that you can proceed with missions according to the grades of fish (blue-grade, yellow-grade, etc.), regardless of fish type.
We are planning to remove categories that are not easy to access for combat guild missions as well and add new categories for better rotation of the list of guild missions. We are also planning on adjusting rewards for the combat guild missions like we did for the life skill guild missions so that members of guilds can freely each enjoy the field they are interested in.

● Improved life skill related guild missions.

– Added the following new life skill guild missions:

Quest, Knowledge Changes

We added recurring quests for each Life Skill to reflect the request we received from our Adventurers during the last CalpheON Ball regarding improvements on Life Skills. The items naturally obtainable from each Life Skill for Adventurers who enjoy our Life Skill contents were set as quest objectives to lessen the burden of proceeding with quests. Also, our focus was on providing visible objectives. Life EXP useful for progression and scrolls that will make playing through Life Skills more enjoyable are included in rewards. We thank our Adventurers who’ve enjoyed our Life Skill content due to the previous improvements made to Life Skills. We will continue making our efforts to make Life Skills easier and more convenient to approach for many of our Adventurers.

● Chief Valentine of Florin’s twin apprentices, Liana and Ludowig, have appeared in major cities and small towns near where Adventurers actively work on Life Skills to seek out materials they need for their research.

– Help them with their research to obtain items useful in Life Skill activities and Life EXP helpful for progression.

Knockout City Update 5.02 Brawls Out for Fixes This March 16

Velan Studios has released the Knockout City update 5.02 (PS5 version 5.002) March 16 patch today, and this one is for fixes across platforms! Check out the full Knockout City March 16 patch notes below.

Knockout City Update 5.02 Patch Notes | Knockout City March 16 Patch Notes:

Here are the patch notes as noted in the official Discord server for the game:

Hello Brawlers! An update has been released to address issues some experienced players have had with accessing League Play. If you are over Street Play level 50, League Play should be unlocked for you!

That’s it for this small patch. The studio also revealed the list of known issues for the game which you can check out below:

  • We are aware of an issue where some players are experiencing a temporary negative Holobux amount. If you have video of this happening, please fill out a bug-report and attach the video.
  • If your update does not start automatically on Nintendo Switch please go into the ‘+’ menu and manually initiate the update.
  • Some players see the wrong League Play trophy in the Trophy Case the first time they log in. If this is happening to you, please log out and back in, and let us know if it persists.
  • Some players do not see Diamond Contracts from Season 4 that were in progress, and instead only see the Meta Contracts. We are investigating this and will update you when we have more info.
  • If you are launching from Steam, and experience a strange-looking hideout, it may be because your Steam Name has some strange characters in it. Please update your Steam Name to use ASCII Characters only and relaunch. To change your name go to View My Profile > Edit Profile and update your Profile name.
  • Some players are seeing the screen that asks them to purchase the game when launching directly from Steam. One player has reported that opening and closing the game repeatedly eventually bypassed the purchase screen.

That’s about it for the patch. Once a new title update or new content drop is announced, we’ll let our readers know. Stay tuned by bookmarking our Knockout City game hub.

The Crew 2 Update 1.22 Drives Out for Season 5 This March 16

The Crew 2 update 1.22 has raced out, and this is for the game’s Season 5: American Legends content and gameplay-related improvements. This is the first episode of the fifth season, and this brings in a new game mode, new cars, and even handling modifications. Read on for the complete The Crew 2 March 16 patch notes.

The Crew 2 Update 1.22 Patch Notes | The Crew 2 Season 5 American Legends Patch Notes | The Crew 2 March 16 Patch Notes:

HANDLING IMPROVEMENTS:

Context

In March 2020, and with the Inner Drive update, the overall handling of some vehicles was revamped. The goal was to offer extra grip and competitiveness.

Some Vehicle categories were entirely rebalanced: Street Race and Hypercar.

Following this update a new approach to grip and handling was adopted for all future vehicles. At the same time, new Special Editions of previously released vehicles continued to feature the pre-Inner Drive handling model. (With the exception of Street Race and Hypercar categories).

Gameplay Impact

In terms of gameplay and car performance, and according to both our internal data, and player feedback, we have noticed a clear difference between pre and post Inner Drive cars.

This handling discrepancy leads to splitting our car line-up in two different driving styles and feeling, thus making some of them less attractive due to a lower performance.

First Steps

With the release of American Legends Episode 1, we plan on starting to look into one of the affected vehicle category: RallyCross (RX). With the release of Season 5: American Legends, we are going to update the handling of three cars:

  • Nissan SKYLINE GT-R (R34)
  • Chevrolet CAMARO SS
  • Ford FOCUS RS

Keep in mind that these changes are not definitive and can be reversed or tweaked based on your feedback. This is an iterative process, and we would like everyone to share their impression and wishes around the topic. Please leave any dedicate feedback on this forum thread.

Mid-term plan

Now, we would like to identify if the changes we deployed are aligned with community expectations. We also need to see how quickly we can start rolling out additional changes to more cars of the RX category. Once again and given the importance of your feedback during those first steps, we will get back to you on the topic at a later stage to break down the upcoming milestones of this initiative.

Horizon Forbidden West Update 1.008 Slides Out This March 16 for Improvements

Guerrilla Games has released Horizon Forbidden West update 1.008 for both last-gen and next-gen platforms. This patch includes fixes to the main quest, side quests, performance and more! Read on for the full patch notes.

Horizon Forbidden West Update 1.008 Patch Notes:

KNOWN ISSUES

We are currently looking into several issues reported by the community. Please note that these issues are not yet fixed in this patch, but our teams are investigating them with high priority.

  • The team are continuing to investigate and tweak the reported graphical issues regarding shimmering, sharpening and screen saturation.
  • Some players have reported multiple issues with various types of traversal after the player fast travels to any campfire while gliding inside of a tornado.
  • Some players have reported an issue with receiving the reward after completing the Black Box Collectibles activity.

FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

Main Quests

  • Fixed an issue in main quest ‘To The Brink’ where using Silent Strike on a quest-specific Bristleback would teleport the player to Chainscrape.
  • Fixed an issue in main quest ‘The Dying Lands’ where Varl and Zo would sometimes idle outside of Plainsong and block progression.
  • Fixed an issue in main quest ‘The Dying Lands’ where Aloy’s companions would not lead the way after restarting from a specific save.
  • Fixed an issue in main quest ‘The Broken Sky’ where reloading a certain save could sometimes disable fast travel unintentionally.
  • Fixed an issue in main quest ‘Cradle of Echoes’ where loading a save created on the previous patch would cause Aloy to be stuck in the Base.
  • Fixed an issue in main quest ‘Thebes’ where Aloy’s breathing sounds were playing during a cinematic sequence.
  • Fixed an issue in main quest ‘All That Remains’ where restarting from a certain save would cause Aloy to spawn in the Base and unable to leave.

Side Quests

  • Fixed an issue in side quest ‘The Bristlebacks’ where Ulvund didn’t get the memo and stuck around in Chainscrape after the quest was completed.
  • Fixed an issue in side quest ‘What Was Lost’ where Kotallo would sometimes become unresponsive when reloading from a specific save.
  • Fixed an issue in side quest ‘Blood For Blood’ where Kavvoh and Arokkeh could not be interacted with in specific circumstances, blocking progression.
  • Fixed an issue in side quest ‘Forbidden Legacy’ where fast traveling during the Slitherfang encounter would cause the machine to not respawn, thus blocking progression.
  • Fixed an issue in side quest ‘The Roots that Bind’ where the quest objective “Go to the Drumroot” would not complete after damaging the Widemaws from a large distance.
  • Fixed an issue in errand quest ‘Call And Response’ where killing the enemies before receiving the objective to do so could block progression.

World Activities

  • Fixed an issue in Gauntlet Run, where passing the finish line in last place would result in a win in specific circumstances.
  • Fixed several issues with specific Firegleam and Metal Flower icons not being displayed on the map.
  • Fixed an issue where Firegleam icons would not be correctly removed from the map once the related activity was completed.
  • Fixed an issue where fast travel would be disabled in specific circumstances when loading a save made while playing Machine Strike.

UI/UX

  • Fixed an issue where the Machine Strike UI would briefly flicker at the end of a game.

Graphics

  • Fixed an issue where Aloy wouldn’t appear wet anymore after being in water.
  • Multiple graphics fixes and improvements in cinematics.
  • Multiple visual improvements in shadows and clouds.
  • Fixed an issue where Photo Mode controls would be frozen when initiating Photo Mode during a swan dive.

Performance and Stability

  • Multiple crash fixes.
  • Multiple performance and streaming improvements in cinematics.
  • Removed multiple unintentional loading screens and black screens.
  • Fixed multiple instances of streaming and visual popping.

Other

  • Made several improvements to the NPCs’ movement and animations in settlements.
  • Made it easier to tag individual components when using motion aiming and scanning machines.
  • When picking up potions or tools that don’t fit in your toolbelt anymore they are now moved to the stash.
  • Several balancing changes to weapons and enemies.
  • Fixed several instances where Aloy could get stuck in geometry.
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘All Machine Types Scanned’ trophy could be easily missed during the final main quest ‘Singularity’.
  • Fix for the mount call sometimes causing the flying mount to be spawned in undesirable positions and in rare cases be unreachable.
  • Several datapoints that are located in areas that the player could not return to are now automatically unlocked upon the player leaving that space.
  • Fixed multiple instances of specific music tracks getting stuck and repeating.

Bandai Namco has officially announced that Elden Ring sales have reached a staggering 12 million copies sold since its launch last month on February 25!

In a press release sent to us, the company confirmed FROMSOFTWARE’s latest, is indeed a massive hit.

“It’s astonishing to see just how many people have been playing ELDEN RING™. I’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the entire development team”, said Hidetaka Miyazaki, President and CEO/Director of FROMSOFTWARE.

“Co-development between FromSoftware and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has brought to life this new Action-RPG, ELDEN RING™, which has surpassed 12M units in sales worldwide.” added Yasuo Miyakawa, President and CEO of BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc, “I would like to use this opportunity to give my thanks to all our fans who have brought ELDEN RING™ into their gaming life. I am very proud to have been involved in bringing such a wonderful and fantastic game to life with FromSoftware, under the guidance of Director Miyazaki, and with George R. R. Martin.

Much effort was placed into creating ELDEN RING™ in order to exceed the expectations of our fans worldwide. With a similar goal, we will continue our efforts in expanding the brand beyond the game itself, and into everyone’s daily life. We will continue to create enjoyment and fulfillment through entertainment, so that we can come closer and connect to our fans around the world.”

Huge congratulation to the team at FROMSOFTWARE, as well as Bandai Namco on this massive milestone.

If you haven’t already, be sure to read our Elden Ring review, which received a perfect 10 out of 10 from our reviewer. Here’s a short snippet of our reviewer had to say:

It’s remarkable how well From has managed to expand to a truly open world while keeping their core gameplay intact as well as building on top of it in one massive and impressively polished package. Elden Ring is clearly the culmination of FromSoftware’s past 13 years of experience and development philosophy of the souls franchise. Miyazaki and FromSoftware have crafted something so massive, special, wondrous and triumphant that it’s unfathomable how they can top it. Easily FromSoftware’s best game to date and a genuine masterpiece.

Bloodhunt PC Playtest Coming This March 25; Key Giveaway Details Revealed

The closed Bloodhunt PC playtest finally has a proper release date, with this second wave of early access testing coming to the platform on March 25! Sharkmob, the game’s developer, also revealed some details on a closed playtest key giveaway, which anybody can join via the Discord server. Check out more details on both the upcoming playtest and key giveaway below.

Here’s the official announcement on the Bloodhunt PC playtest as revealed in its post:

Hello Bloodhunt Community!

The time has come to play Bloodhunt again!

We are thrilled to announce that the upcoming Bloodhunt Closed PC Playtest is now set for the 25th of March at 10:00 CET.

We are planning to run the test throughout the weekend, provided that nothing unforeseen happens.

In this test, you will be able to experience our Solo Bloodhunt Mode as well as our Battle Royale Trios. Additionally there is also an improved tutorial level.

This playtest will be made available to those who managed to snag early access back in the first playtest, so if you’ve managed to get your hands on the game before you’re all set for March 25! As for those who want a chance to be able to play the game early, you can head over on to the game’s official Discord server where you can earn a key for yourself. Be quick, though, as there are limited keys available, and chances are they’ll run out fast.

We will also be conducting a survey to gather your thoughts. The survey link will be available through Twitter and Discord. We also look forward to hearing your feedback on our Discord at discord.gg/Bloodhunt.

While this is a playtest available to players that had previously played Bloodhunt during Early Access, we do have a limited supply of codes that we want to give to new players that might have missed the Bloodhunt Early Access.

For a chance in obtaining one, please join the Bloodhunt discord server over at discord.gg/bloodhunt and join the #playtest channel and type !keyrequest and we will reach out to you.

The PC playtest for Bloodhound will open on March 25, at the following times:

  • 10:00 am CET
  • 5:00 am ET
  • 2:00 am PT
  • 5:00 pm HKT

In case you missed it, check out details on the upcoming Ranked mode and “Bloodhunt mode” for Bloodhunt here, with the latter specifically catered towards average and casual players!

EA Play 2022 Event Cancelled

It looks like EA won’t be hosting any big events this June, as EA Play 2022 is now cancelled! Nope, it’s not just in-person, but there’s not even a digital event set for this year, which was the case the past few years due to the global pandemic.

Here’s what an EA representative had to say (via IGN):

We love EA Play Live as it’s our way of connecting with our players and sharing what’s new with all of you. However, this year things aren’t lining up to show you everything on one date. We have exciting things happening at our world-class studios and this year we’ll reveal much more about these projects when the time is right for each of them. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year!

For the past few years, EA has shifted from holding a press conference at E3, to doing their own show called EA Play, which was held in June during E3 week. With most in-person events slowly returning, it’s odd that EA isn’t even doing one. But not seeing an event is better than forcing one out and boring people, or having underbaked games shown off.

Hopefully, with EA planning to showcase games when it’s right for them, this means that the new format wherein the Dead Space remake, and the new Dragon Age game are talked about more frequently to gamers is the new norm.

Warframe Spring 2022 Roadmap Revealed; 9th Year Anniversary, Angels of the Zariman, & More Detailed

Digital Extremes has revealed a new Warframe Spring 2022 roadmap, showing players all the new content coming this March and April for the game! The highlight is the new expansion, Angels of the Zariman, which is set to come sometime next month, but there are a ton more in store, so check out the complete details below.

First up in the Spring 2022 roadmap for Warframe is Nightwave: Nora’s Mix Vol. 1, kicking off tomorrow, March 16. This one is bringing a mix of unique rewards spanning the old and new with a fresh selection of Acts that all players can experience.

Next up is the 9th Year celebration of Warframe, kicking off on March 28. Warframe is celebrating its 9th birthday this month with a slew of new content, some free gear, and a brand new entry in its Prime Access program with Garuda Prime. Players who missed out on previous Dex content will be treated to its return, along with a new Dex Skin earnable through weekly alerts. Players can log in during Warframe’s anniversary celebration for a free Wisp Dex Skin.

Finally, here are some more details on the Angels of the Zariman expansion coming to Warframe sometime in April:

Angels of the Zariman brings players a smaller, new chapter in its Cinematic Quest saga – a riveting free-to-play sci-fi spectacular with 30+ hours of narrative-driven single-player cinematic gameplay. In addition to a brand new Quest, Angels of the Zariman, brings a wealth of additional content and features, including a new Warframe, three new playable mission types, a social hubtown, customizable apartments for players aboard the Zariman Ten Zero, and new Customizations alongside quality of life improvements. Void Shell Skins will be introduced for the first time, which will further increase customization in Warframe allowing players to freely change textures on materials and apply a tint to their Warframe. These Skins will be available to earn as well as purchase. Additionally, Evolving Weapons will make their debut in Warframe, which can be procured from a new NPC aboard the Zariman. These weapons will evolve based on challenges completed in-game, and players can unlock various aspects of these weapons as they progress.

Aboard the Zariman, players will discover new missions and can visit a new social hubtown called the Chrysalith. This new social hubtown will let players seamlessly access procedural missions without load screens. NPCs will also be introduced in the Chrysalith, offering a variety of side missions and objectives to pursue.

Stay tuned here at MP1st for more details on the Angels of the Zariman expansion for Warframe, and more importantly its actual release date!
