As we thoughtWhile Ubisoft has stated that their upcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora would be exclusive to next-gen platforms (PS5 and Xbox Series,) when it was first revealed, it seems that a version for the trailer sent to Sony has the PS4 as a listed platform for the game.
Update: Ubisoft has reached out to us and clarified this was a mistake “It’s an error, we’re clarifying it now. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a true new-gen experience available exclusively on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, PC, Amazon Luna and Stadia.”
Original:
As seen on a few official PlayStation Youtube accounts, not only is the company listing the game as coming to both the PS4 and PS5 from the video title, but the trailer itself also features the PS4 as one of the available platforms.
The description, however makes things a bit confusing, as it states that the title is being developed exclusively designed for next-gen platforms.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ is a first person, action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment – a Ubisoft studio, in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney.
Built using the latest iteration of the Snowdrop engine, and developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings to life the alluring world of Pandora with all of its beauty and danger in an immersive, open world experience.
In this new, standalone story, play as a Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen part of Pandora. Explore a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters, and push back the formidable RDA forces that threaten it.
This is most likely a listing mistake, though we did contact Ubisoft for further clarification. We will be sure to update this post should we hear back.

General Updates
Stability Improvements
We’ve fixed and resolved several issues on all platforms that would cause the game to crash or be unstable.
Challenges and Trophy/Achievements
We’ve listed all the trophies/achievements and challenges below that have had their unlock conditions tweaked in this patch.
The Classics Challenges
We’ve tweaked a few things affecting how the Classics Challenges unlock. Firstly, we’ve made sure that players who reach the required amount (e.g. 17) or above, will succefully unlock the challenge and earn the accompanying reward. Players who are still having issues are encouraged to start and exit a mission that has those challenges available.
Secondly, players who had some progress towards these challenges reset with the last patch (3.30), will now have the correct progress.
Note: Some of these changes were made between the release of 3.30 and 3.40, so some players may already have experienced the fixes mentioned here. We’re noting them now in the patch notes for clarity.
Extra note: It is a known issue that completing one the of the ‘The Classics’ challenges in a mission that is not a ‘campaign’ mission (e.g Bonus Mission or Special Assignments), might not count progress towards the progress for the cumulative challenges.
Misleading Leaderboard Percentile Descriptions
We’ve changed the wording and the order of the ‘leaderboard position’ indicator that is shown when completing a mission.
Previously, “Low” and “High” were used to indicate the leaderboard percentile, which meant that the highest ranking players were displayed on the left, but this was causing confusion. With this update, the highest ranking players will be labelled as “Top” and on the right-hand side of the screen.
Subtitle Indicator
We’ve added the option to enable a ‘Speaker Indicator’ for subtitles, which will indicate who is talking. When toggled on, this will work during gameplay, briefings and cinematics.
During cinematics and briefings, the speaker’s name will be displayed in the subtitles. During gameplay, an icon will indicate where the subtitled speech is coming from.
Free Starter Pack
We’ve made a handful of changes to improve the experience of playing the Free Starter Pack. These include adding a tile to encourage new players to play the Sebastian Principle Escalation Contract in Dubai and we’ve fixed an issue where Free Starter Pack players could be unable to proceed after linking their account. This should prevent the ‘Already Registered’ issue from occurring. We’ve made other minor tweaks too.
Maintenance Messaging
We’ve updated the in-game message / pop-up that displays during server maintenance to make it clear that server maintenance is ongoing. This applies for all platforms.
Seasonal Bonus
We’ve fixed an issue where the HITMAN 1 Bonus Missions (The Icon, Landslide, A House Built On Sand) were incorrectly labelled as “Seasonal Content” in the menus.
From a to x (to e)
We’ve tweaked an issue where the ICA Combat Axe was missing capital letters in its description.
Explosive Devices Differentiation
We’ve updated the inventory images for the ICA Explosive Devices to better represent how they look in-game.
Wet Guru
We’ve changed the properties of the Guru Suit (unlocked via the Gauchito Antiquity Deluxe Escalation) to look wet when 47 is in the rain.
PS5 HUD
We’ve tweaked various elements of the heads-up display to make them more visible in all areas of the game on a PS5, including the weapon HUD and text elements of the UI.
PS5 Activities
We’ve adjusted a few things on the back-end to ensure that PS5 players that load a particular location from an ‘Activity’ when the game is closed, will be taken directly to the intended location.
Credit Where It’s Due, 3.40
We’ve updated the credits to reflect work done since the last update.
Sound / Audio Updates
Main Menu Music
We’ve made a subtle change to the menu navigation sounds so that they’re lighter and more subtle.
Objective (Sounds) Updated
We’ve added new sound effects for when the Mission Objectives (i.e “Eliminate Viktor Novikov”) updates, to better fit the overall style of HITMAN 3.
Unpacking Audio
We’ve added Foley sounds to briefcases and related actions. Previously, unpacking items from suitcases would be silent.
Instinct Mix
We’ve tweaked the audio mix for Instinct to give an improved, more focused sound. This includes adjusted levels for Foley, SFX and UI.
Musical Overlap
We’ve resolved an issue that could cause the Mission Success™ music to overlap with a location’s ambient music and not trigger when you actually leave a mission.
Loadout Tracks
We’ve made a change that will ensure the loadout music track will now trigger properly.
Sneaker Footsteps
We’ve replaced the footstep sounds for when Agent 47 or NPCs are wearing sneakers / trainers to bring their quality in line with other sound effects that were updated for HITMAN 3’s launch.
Location Changes: Dubai, UAE
Grid Wall
We’ve resolved an issue where a security camera grid could be seen through a wall.
Location Changes: Dartmoor, England
Full House
We’ve tweaked some parameters to make the Full House trophy unlock more consistently.
Seven Deadly Sins
We’ve been spending lots of time in Dartmoor to prepare it for the release of the Sloth Depletion Escalation, including a new time of day change, lighting, environment art and propping changes amongst other tweaks.
Location Changes: Berlin, Germany
Satu NightMare
We’ve tweaked an objective on the second stage of the Satu Mare Delirium Escalation (Deluxe) to clarify the kill method for one of the targets. Rather than “axe”, the objective will now state “fire axe”, which was previously only mentioned in the Notebook.
Curtain Call
We’ve resolved an issue where some characters could see through certain curtains in Berlin.
Location Changes: Chongqing, China
Controller Issues
We’ve resolved an issue where the behaviour of one of the targets could make it impossible to complete the Certainty Principle Mission Story.
FuseBox Fixup
We’ve changed the properties of a particular fusebox in Chongqing to prevent 47 from being able to walk through it.
Missing Tool
We’ve updated a prompt inside the facility that would show that 47 could ‘loosen mounting’, but didn’t indicate what item was required to perform the action.
Shortcut Mixup
We’ve made another change to how some shortcut challenges are unlocked in Chongqing. From now on, the ‘Facility Elevator Shaft’ and ‘Inner Courtyard’ shortcuts will be unlocked properly, with the correct name, description and image in the challenge pop-up.
Impulse Resist
We’ve tweaked an issue where 47 could get stuck in a chair during the Impulse Control Mission Story.
Determined Drone
We’ve resolved an issue where a drone’s detection light could still search for and detect 47, after the drone had been destroyed with an explosive.
Location Changes: Mendoza, Argentina
Stair Head
We’ve resolved an issue where Agent 47’s head could clip with the stairs near the Winery’s Public Hall.
Location Changes: Carpathian Mountains, Romania
Train Crasher
We’ve resolved an issue where the game could crash shortly after starting the Untouchable mission from the default starting location.
Train Surfer
We’ve tweaked some parameters on the back-end to make the ‘Train Surfing’ trophy/achievement unlock more consistently. Players need to complete all challenges for the mission, including the Silent Assassin / Suit Only ones.
Legacy Location Changes: HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2
Paris: Showstopper We’ve fixed an issue where the Showstopper challenge would not unlock reliably. Whilst it was possible to unlock this challenge, several factors were affecting how reliable it was and they’ve now been tweaked.
Sapienza: Tunnel Vision
We’ve resolved an issue where players could see ‘out of world’ when the camera was in a specific place in the tunnels.
Sapienza: Tower Vision
We’ve tweaked an issue on some consoles where the arches in the Town Hall Tower are shown as dark shadows when viewed from a distance, such as the Church Tower.
Marrakesh: Missing Map We’ve fixed an issue where the second floor of the Consulate building was missing from the mini map and Notebook map.
Bonus Episode
We’ve tweaked some parameters to make the Perfectionist trophy/achievement unlock more consistently.
Mumbai: Train Stopper
We’ve resolved an issue where Agent 47 could fall down from wooden planks near the trainyard.
Mumbai: Divine Descendance
We’ve updated the target image of Lucky Parminder in the Divine Descendance Escalation.
Whittleton Creek: Bright Attic Light
As a follow-up to the Legacy Lighting fixes that we implemented last month, we’ve tweaked an excessively bright light in an attic in Whittleton Creek.
Whittleton Creek: Quiet Suffocation
We’ve fixed an issue that could prevent some sound effects from playing during the animation to suffocate Janus.
Whittleton Creek: New Mugshot
We’ve updated the target image of ‘Ida Pagel’ in Contracts Mode.
Virtual Reality (PS VR)

We’ve made changes to the DJ console in Berlin where the prompts shown might not react properly when pressing the relevant buttons.

BALANCE LIVE WITH THE DARK ENCHANTRESS UPDATE JUNE 15
Game Modes
Arena
Cthulhu’s hold over the world has faded and the Arena map is returning to its previous Greco-Roman art set.
Classic Joust
Joust and Duel have had many maps across SMITE history that have all had their own unique successes and failures. As a new experiment, we will be rotating in the Classic Joust map as the default map for all Normal and Ranked Joust and Duel matches.
This will provide two unique experiences. First, it’s a clear gameplay and balance change to the modes that will create new god metas and different experiences. But more interestingly, it sets the precedent for map rotation within a mode. Classic Joust has always been brought back as an additional mode, which often split the population and made it feel like a lesser mode. This time, Classic Joust will feel the realest it’s been in years!
The map fits thematically with Morgan Le Fay’s arrival, and will also be seeing a variety of balance and tuning changes. The Red Jungle Camp will have a new feature where it enhances at 10m to provide the usual bonuses plus an additional percent damage to Towers and Phoenixes to mitigate Classic Joust’s base defense issues. There will also be significant changes to the pace players earn Gold and XP to make the curve feel more natural, like other SMITE game modes.
We plan to keep the Classic Joust map as the active Joust map for multiple updates, but depending on feedback and metrics that could always change. We might even start dusting off the Season 3 Joust Map as another possible rotation.
General
The Classic Joust Map will be replacing the current Joust map in all Normal and Ranked queues for 3v3 and 1v1
Both Joust maps will be available for custom games
All changes here apply to all 3v3 and 1v1 modes unless otherwise specified
Increased XP Split Bonus from 0 to 0.5
Lane Minions
Classic Joust now uses the same base stats for lane minions from S7 Joust, including their rewards and stats scaling
Lane Minion stats and rewards now scale every 1 minute
Jungle Camps
Added pre-timers to all Jungle Camps
Jungle Camps now use the same monsters with base stats and rewards from Conquest, without their abilities
Jungle Camp stats and rewards now scale every 2 minutes
Jungle Buffs
Damage – Increases Physical and Magical Power by 20%; +10 Magical Power and +5 Physical Power
Mana – Grants +25 MP5 and 10% Cooldown Reduction
Speed – Increases Movement Speed by 15%
At 10 minutes, both Damage Buff Camps become Enhanced
Enhanced Damage Buff – Additionally provides 30% increased damage to enemy Towers and Phoenixes
Structures
Decreased Phoenix HP5 from 40 to 10
Art
The map art has been updated from its last adventure iteration, and is no longer Fall or Halloween themed.
Items
BENEVOLENCE FIX
Benevolence was providing GP5 starting at 0:00 which created some extra options with opening builds if you waited in the fountain with it for some time. Now players will need to leave the fountain with it and the time needs to be above 0:00 before it will start granting this benefit.
Fixed an issue where Benevolence could provide a GP5 benefit and still be sold for full value. Players will need to leave the fountain with Benevolence to gain GP5.
MASK
The Mask tree as a whole is seeing some love this patch. These items allow for class shifting among different roles but their effects were often too intense and the build paths too difficult. While these items have potential to be unhealthy if everyone is using them we do think there is room for them as fun flex choices in key situations.
The Tier 1 of the tree itself was underwhelming. At 500 gold is provided very little. We have doubled the amount of HP and Mana provided while increasing the cost to match this value.
Increased cost from 500 to 700.
All items above this still cost the same as they currently do.
Increased HP from 50 to 100
Increased Mana from 50 to 100
FIGHTER’S MASK
Fighter’s Mask was also a large investment for little gain. When it lost flat penetration the stats provided for the cost no longer matched. A boost to power here makes building into Rangda’s Mask easier.
Increased Physical Power from 30 to 40
Increased Magical Power from 60 to 70
RANGDA’S MASK
Rangda’s Mask is first up with what appears to be a shift. A small power increase helps but the main change is related to the boost/penalty applied to this offensive mask. If tradeoff is too intense (say 50%) this item arguably becomes weaker as players too reliably die before they can benefit. Similarly if this is too low (say 5%) the shift itself doesn’t feel like it contributes enough. There is a sweet spot for this value that maximizes the shift strength and minimizes the drawback. We believe this item will perform better at 15% than 20%.
Increased Physical Power from 60 to 70
Increased Magical Power from 100 to 120
Decreased Damage Dealt Increase from 20% to 15%.
Decreased Damage Taken Increase from 20% to 15%.
PROTECTOR’S MASK
Protector’s Mask gets a nice boost of protections for upgrading to it from Mask, but at 50 it provides less health than the new Mask. This not only eases the build path but makes sure it never feels like a downgrade to upgrade to this mask.
Increased Health from 50 to 100
LONO’S MASK
Similar to Rangda’s Mask finding the sweet spot for the stat tradeoff is important. For Assassins and Mages shifting towards a more Guardian playstyle, the extra tankiness of 20% helped but the penalty towards healing and damage really limits how much they can contribute in fights with kits that often have less control. At 15% we feel this will be a stronger option for these types of shifts.
Increased Health from to 250 to 300
Increased Damage Taken Decrease from -20% to -15%.
Increased Damage Dealt Decrease from -20% to -15%.
Increased Healing Done Decrease from -20% to -15%.
TRANSCENDENCE
Transcendence has strong potential for Assassins and Hunters alike but has struggled to see play. Its overall cost makes it a heavy investment that also takes time to pay off. We are decreasing the cost to make this more long term focused plan pay off.
Decreased Cost from 2600 to 2450
DEATH’S TOLL
The final item changes this patch are focused around Magical ADCs. Through Season 8 we have seen gods that really rely on strong Basic Attack focused play struggle. Freya, Olorun, Chronos, and Sol all feel this to some degree and we think their overall itemization can be improved. Death’s Toll will now provide some extra power, helping augment the abilities and Basic Attacks during early wave clear.
Increased Magical Power from 25 to 30
EMERALD RING
Emerald Ring could be a strong option to pair with Death’s Toll but its lack of immediately useful stats and low stats in the T2 Enchanted Ring didn’t lend itself well to Magical Carries who wanted to build towards that path quickly. An extra 5% on both Emerald Ring and Enchanted Ring should make this build path more appealing.
Now Provides 5% Attack Speed
ENCHANTED RING
Increased Attack Speed from 10% to 15%
RING OF HECATE
Ring of Hecate offers the potential for high power and sustain but with its last nerfs it never really found that spot. It was overvalued for its sustain and didn’t provide enough of a punch. These two changes should help in both respects.
Decreased Cost from 2600 to 2500
Increased Magical Power from 80 to 90
VAMPIRIC SHROUD
This change was done in the 8.5 Patch but went undocumented. In general Vampiric Shroud was underperforming and we wanted to better reward bruiser mages or mages looking for early safety with some extra gold to spend and some extra power on their abilities.
Increased Magical Power from 25 to 30.
Decreased cost from 750 to 700.
Gods
ATHENA
This change does not actually affect balance, as all balance changes are in the Bonus Balance. Reach was often confusing and the tooltip did not fully describe how this ability functioned. While it said it did 35% scaling what it really did was take 35% of “In-hand” damage, a combination of “Bot” power and “Item” power. Combined with how Magical Gods only use 20% of their “Bot” power to get their “In-hand” damage it quickly got confusing and was not intuitive. It is much more intuitive and just as accurate to say that Reach deals 1.5x damage (after the latest balance changes) of your Basic Attack damage. So in short, nothing functionally changed here but it is all much more clearly written out.
REACH
Reach’s previous description made it unclear how much Reach would deal in damage and missed describing key components.
Rather than describing it as a scaling bonus we are now comparing its damage as a multiplier on your Basic Attack Damage. Nothing has changed but it should be more clear how to calculate how much damage reach does.
Reach also did less damage on subsequent targets. This is also now described in the description.
AH PUCH
Ah Puch is a low mobility mage that relies on slows, zone control, and the sustain from his passive to stay in a fight. This often leads to him fighting right in the thick of the whole team and encourages splashes of tank items. To further help him out in these situations we are giving him bruiser mage stats which should further assist in this playstyle. Combined with a standard ultimate cooldown Ah Puch will be able to better assist in teamfights.
GENERAL
Increased Base Health from 400 to 450
Increased Base Physical Protection from 9 to 13
EMPTY THE CRYPTS
Decreased Cooldown from 100s to 90s
ARTEMIS
Artemis haters will now have to face a stronger early game Suppress the Insolent. As a god with a strong teamfight potential and high throughput damage, a more consistent and high pressure early may just be the extra push this low mobility hunter needs to see some success.
SUPPRESS THE INSOLENT
Increase base damage from 80/130/180/230/280 to 90/140/190/240/290
HORUS
Last notes Horus’ wings became 8% more aerodynamic and the mad scientists here have pushed that even further. With a 14% improvement Fracture can now travel a further range, allowing him to engage and lock down opponents who were previously just out of reach.
FRACTURE
Increased Dash Range from 35 units to 40 units
HOU YI
Hou Yi was a high contention hunter that has fallen from that position over the course of Season 8. A boost to Ricochets damage should give him some stronger early game potential and this bonus can be multiplied by a powerful triple hit.
RICOCHET
Increase base damage from 75/120/165/210/255 to 85/130/175/220/265.
IZANAMI
Fade Away has strong telegraphing and counterplay towards the stealth component, which made the 20s cooldown feel too intense. This should increase Izanami’s safety during the early game and give her more flexibility when being aggressive as well.
FADE AWAY
Decreased Cooldown from 20/19/18/17/16s to 17/16.5/16/15.5/15s
KUMBHAKARNA
Kumbhakarna just took a power nap and is ready…for another power nap. However he did get some solid boosts to help him out. Throw Back’s initial damage will provide some extra lethality when used on gods and not on a minion wave while Groggy Strike should feel more rewarding for its long channel time.
THROW BACK
Increased Base Damage on the Initial Hit from 70/140/210/280/350 to 90/155/220/285/350
GROGGY STRIKE
Increased Base Damage 90/140/190/240/290 to 90/145/200/255/310
MERCURY
For a god as Fast as Mercury he struggled to keep up with other Junglers and their clear. Made You Look is getting some extra base damage to help close that gap.
MADE YOU LOOK
Increased Base Damage from 70/105/140/175/210 to 80/115/150/185/220
MERLIN
Dragonfire is seeing a solid update. This ability went on cooldown after the dragons despawned, making its cooldown significantly longer than listed. We are making this ability go on cooldown upon cast and adjusting the cooldown to compensate. This makes the ability easier to track and also lets it better interact with cooldown reduction.
DRAGONFIRE
Dragonfire will now go on cooldown immediately, instead of waiting until the end of the ability’s effects
This effectively buffs the cooldown by 3s at all ranks
Increased Cooldown on Dragonfire from 16/15/14/13/12 to 18/17/16/15/14
Combined with this nerf, this is a 1s cooldown decrease buff at all ranks
RAMA
Rama is the final hunter we are bringing up. Rama saw heavy success for a long time but introducing proper conveyance and counterplay to the ult landing really hurt his success. This was especially felt at high levels. We are reverting a change we did to Astral Barrage now that more counterplay opportunities exist and also giving some extra reward for aggressive uses of Rolling Assault.
ROLLING ASSAULT
Increase Scaling on the bonus damage shot from 25% to 30%
ASTRAL BARRAGE
Increased Base Damage from 180/265/350/435/520 to 180/270/360/450/540
VULCAN
The Smith of the gods has been busy cooking up a stronger Meatball. Vulcan is on the cutting edge of technology and balance so this boost to his base damage should round out his early clear when competing with other Mages.
MAGMA BOMB
Increased base damage 70/120/170/220/270 to 80/130/180/230/280
POST-PTS BALANCE CHANGES AND FIXES
Classic Joust and Duel
Damage Buff now becomes Enhanced when it respawns after 7 minutes
Buff camps now spawn and begin their intro animation at 0:00.
Fixed an issue in Duel where both Titans had 1000 more Max Health than intended

Make sure to read our Dirt 5 review right here, where we state, “DIRT 5 is a celebration of off-road racing that is crammed full with plenty of worthwhile content. It’s simplistic story while throwaway for some provides decent fun, and the variety of different racing modes ensure that the long career mode doesn’t get stale. Additional modes such as Arcade, Online and Playgrounds guarantee that even when you’ve cleared the Career that there is still plenty more entertainment to be had. Despite the occasional bumps in the road with performance and lackluster events, DIRT 5 is a great racing title that is deserving of your time. “

Finished Resident Evil Village but want more? Capcom has heard you, as the publisher has announced that Resident Evil Village DLC is in development due to “popular demand,” but there’s nothing to share just yet.
That’s it, unfortunately. No title, no release date, no anything. We do have the announcement screenshot!
Will we see more of Ethan (probably not), but I’d wager we’ll see more Chris Redfield, and maybe something to tie the game up to Resident Evil 9?
It looks like Arc System Works’ latest entry in the Guilty Gear series has gotten its surprises leaked, as the Guilty Gear Strive Season 1 DLC roster has been outed via dataminng — revealing which characters are set to be added to the game post launch!
Related Reading (7/20/21): Arc System Works has announced Goldlewis Dickinson as the first fighter, confirming the datamined info is legit! Check the trailer and Season 1 roadmap here.
Here’s the video from rooflemonger that spills the beans on what was intended to be a surprise for fans and players.
The names in the the data mine are abbreviations of the characters who may be the DLC fighters set to appear — with ASK, COS, GLD, JAM, and JKO listed. Here’s an image of the folders mined from the PC version of Strive.
Speculations from rooflemonger leads to guesses that these characters are Asuka (“That Man”) Chaos, Goldlewis Dickinson, Jam Cloudberry, and Jack-O. Now this is all in theory and based on what was listed on the data, but the miner is the same source that also data mined the DLC from Dragon Ball FighterZ — so there’s a good chance these are genuine leaks and we’ll find out who’s who when the official reveals and announcements come for the downloadable content.
Needless to say, take this with a grain of salt for now, as is the case with everything datamined, not everything unearthed is guaranteed to show up in the game.
Guilty Gear Strive was just released on June 11 for the PS5, PS4, and PC. It’s first update and patch notes were also rolled out as well, and you can read about that right here.
Yesterday, we got the long -waited news that Microsoft Flight Simulator would finally be releasing for Xbox consoles this July. While that certainly got many flight sim fans excited, it seems that the company wasn’t done with the surprises, as it has also been announced that they have teamed up with Turtle Beach in order to give players a whole new way to play. Yep, that’s right, Turtle Beach is releasing a full sim system specifically built for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Introducing the VelocityOne Flight Simulation Control System.
As part of Turtle Beach E3 2021 announcements, the VelocityOne Flight Simulation Control System is a whole new flight sim controller, built specifically for Microsoft’s Flight Simulator.
“Microsoft’s Flight Sim 2020 astonished gamers and flight sim fans alike with its stunning visual quality when it debuted on PC last year, and with the game coming to Xbox Series X|S this summer we believe it will fuel a wider audience of gamers to explore flight simulation. As a pilot and flight sim enthusiast myself, after seeing the incredible visual realism of the game early last year and being very familiar with the existing hardware in the market, I knew we could design a better, more integrated and modern flight control product that flight sim enthusiasts would want. We hired a team with deep experience in flight sim hardware and developed a fully integrated system that works with Xbox and PC and provides everything a new flierneeds, along with the capability and features that hardcore flight simmers want. For the great price of $349.95, there’s nothing else like it.”

These two new accessory segments add another $1 billion of global addressable market, with third-party gamepad controllers at roughly $600 million, and PC/console flight simulation hardware adding roughly $400 million in global market. Both of these markets are growing rapidly, and our entrance with these first products will be the start of an expanding portfolio into other adjacent PC simulation hardware categories.”

Are you a fan of space? What about grand strategy, RTS, or 4X games? Well do we have some good news for you as today, publishers Hooded Horse revealed three all new PC games all centered around those themes.
If you are a huge fan of games such as Stellaris, At War, and Beyond Earth then perhaps these slate of games from Hooded Horse are just for you.
About each game:
Terra Invicta (grand strategy sci-fi developed by the Long War mod creators Pavonis Interactive) is revealing details about its fully modelled Solar System using real-life scientific astronomical data. With over 300 asteroids, moons, and planets all orbiting exactly as they do in our real world, Terra Invicta creates a strategic map that is in constant motion. It is also pretty, thanks to the fully 3D graphics and fancy UI elements such as orbit trails and overlays.
Alliance of the Sacred Suns (4X sci-fi RPG that puts you in the shoes of a single, mortal emperor of a dying stellar empire) is announcing a new event system with over 100 hand-crafted narrative events available in the initial release, with many more to come later. Full mod support is also available, allowing players to write and upload their own events for other players to experience.
Falling Frontier (beautiful, large scale sci-fi RTS) has exclusive details about its previously unannounced in-game scenario editor allowing players to create and upload their own star systems and storyline campaigns. This modding tool will be accessible even to players without a prior modding background, and we’re excited to see the stories players will tell in our Solar System and beyond. We are also showing a new ship and fleet UI, allowing you to view critical information without taking your eyes off the action.
All three titles are targeting a 2021 release on Steam.

Yesterday, EA finally gave Battlefield fans what they were looking forward to since last week, and that’s the Battlefield 2042 gameplay reveal! Clocking in at just over three minutes long, the trailer featured infantry combat, vehicles, and loads more! While we’re quite far off from the shooter’s October release date, we here at MP1st decided to give our take on what was shown! Check out our Battlefield 2042 gameplay reveal impressions and see if you agree with ’em or not.
James Lara:
This gameplay reveal just oozed in “Only in Battlefield” moments, with many of them being callbacks to the original community created ones. I loved it. Seeing the game in actual action, I’m left impressed.
Judging from the character movement, it seems that there is some weighted feeling to add a bit of realism much like previous Battlefield games. Not a whole lot of surprise if I am honest, but it did look great in motion, and seeing new gadgets such as the hook shot got me really exciting to see what crazy things players do.
And that’s kind of what this whole trailer is about after all, to show just how much insane stuff can happen all in a single match. Seeing all the vehicles such as the tanks and helicopters all in the same area and wreaking havoc was such a good adrenaline rush, and of course the viewpoint from the soldiers on foot was just as exciting.
One of my favorite parts of the trailer though was when the dust tornado started to come in and the soldier went to the roof of a building nearby with a helicopter waiting for them there. Veterans from Battlefield 3 and 4 know exactly how tense of a moment like that was, as a single helicopter pilot could easily shred up a whole squad of players. Of course this being scripted that would more than likely have had happened, but still it’s always a good fight to have.
Luckily someone brought up an ATV with some C4 attached to it. Yeah, as if that didn’t put a smile in your face and nostalgia of doing it yourself in Battlefield 4.
Now there were other exciting tidbits from the trailer, one being the new Plus system that allows you to change your weapon attachments as you play. This is a huge game changer as it allows you to carry a single loadout with basically everything you need for that weapon. No more having to edit your loadout and being taken out of the action as you do it. It’s such a cool mechanic, and I can’t wait to mess around with it myself later this year.
The wingsuit is also new to Battlefield. I thought this was a great addition as it’ll help you feel like you are no longer a sitting duck in the air. The parachute of course is still in, but the wingsuit is going to allow so much more freedom in movement. Having to jump off a roof and quickly get to a location without the risk of a everyone aiming out you is going to feel great.
And finally there’s all the level events, or as Battlefield 4 fans would call it Levolution. Now I don’t know if DICE is calling it that this time around, but it’s clearly upping those moments. In the first portion of the trailer we can see a massive sand tornado rolling in along with all the debris it has picked up. Visibility goes from being clear, to a hazy dust storm.
We aren’t sure how much this will actually change the level, but we are hoping that once the dust has settled, it means the map is covered in a blanket of thick sand. Fingers crossed.
The one thing I didn’t really see much of was destruction. In fact, besides from vehicles and explosive particles, there really wasn’t much of it in the trailer in terms of buildings and landmarks. In fact, after giving the trailer a few more watches, you can see that a lot of the environment remains unchanged, despite being in the middle of a full on warzone. That, and even during the crazy sandstorm, a lot of the environment looked as it did even before.
I am really hoping that changes, since this is after all from an early alpha build but I wouldn’t hold my breath. The visuals don’t bug me and I know they will for sure be better by the time release comes around, but in terms of level of destructibility based off the footage we saw it’s kept pretty low. I hope that turns out to be false, because that is the one thing that Battlefield fans have been craving for. Since the release of Bad Company 2, the series just never reach that high.
Overall, like I said I was impressed with what was shown, enough to make me excited and want to actually buy the shooter.
Alex Co:
Oh, man! Where do I start? While we got three minutes worth of footage, there’s still a TON of stuff left unanswered. We didn’t get to see the Specialists that much, how does each Specialist ability work and so on. But more importantly, we didn’t see any destruction! Clearly, DICE is offering destruction on another scale in Battlefield 2042, but they haven’t shown us just yet.
I gather the questions we all have will all be answered in separate info blowouts, which make sense. I mean, why explain everything in one gameplay reveal and overwhelm gamers, when you can slowly trickle info out, and build up hype? Makes sense from a marketing perspectie clearly.
Aside from the maps, one thing that stood out a lot were the new stuff (or semi new?) We saw ziplines that were used to great effect to reach an area camped in by a sniper, there were wingsuits that allowed players to friggin’ fly around the map, there was even one character with a deployable cover!
Clearly, DICE has given a much bigger emphasis on infantry play, and customization. I haven’t seen all the Specialists or know of their abilities, but DICE seems to be aiming for letting the gamer play the way they want.
We also got to see the Plus system for changing weapon attachments on the fly! The UI looks clean, and the idea of it is very useful for a Battlefield game where you need to change gun loadouts depending on the map or situation.
Capping the gameplay reveal was that big storm cloud thing that you just know will be hell on whichever side is winning the match! Will it be just a gimmick or provide something big like how Levolution was (in some maps)? Only time will tell.
I have laods of questions regarding Battlefield 2042, but it managed to do what it was meant to do, and that was to build hype and pull people in. After watching the gameplay reveal more than four times now, I think it did the job.

Prepare to embark on an action RPG adventure unlike no other that will captive you and test your skills, as indie publisher United Label’s Tales of Iron debuts a new animated story trailer on E3 2021 to showcase this new video game that is full of ambition and adventure!
Here’s the trailer that treats players to a luscious graphic presentation of mice and creatures in a medieval inspired game adventure!
If you’re wondering about the details for this RPG adventure, here’s the press release filling the details!
Created by indie development team, Odd Bug Studio, and published by United Label, Tails of Iron is an epic RPG Adventure with punishingly brutal, souls-like inspired combat. This deceivingly-beautiful, hand-drawn title is fully narrated by the deep, raspy vocals of Doug Cockle (voice of Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher). As Redgi, heir to the Rat Throne, players must restore your broken Kingdom by banishing the merciless Frog Clan and their ferocious leader, Greenwart.
As players explore the deceptively-charming world, they’ll encounter a cast of unique companions, ready to aid them in their adventure. And they’ll need all the help they can get, whether that’s new meal recipes, blueprints to forge deadly weapons and armour, or even a land-chugging, armour plated mole-mobile!
From frog zombies to gargantuan grubs – and everything in-between – the Kingdom is awash with danger. To overcome each perilous encounter, players will need to study their opponent’s attacks and react accordingly. Thankfully, there’s a range of deadly abilities on offer, including parry bashes and fatal executions, not to mention ranged attacks with your nifty bow and arrow.
The brand new, fully animated trailer depicts the colourful history of the Rat Kingdom, tracking the agelong battle between the race of Rats and their vicious nemesis, the merciless Frogs. Ending on a note of peril, the frog’s vicious leader, Greenwart, has once again invaded with increased vengeance, leaving Redgi to repel the Frog invasion and restore his crumbling Kingdom.
Overcome your fears. Rescue your brothers. Restore Your Kingdom.
Your tail has begun…
E3 showcases some of the most exciting upcoming games like these, and you can check out the broadcast schedule for this year’s show here.

The Story So Far: Chaos Reigns Down
“All the pieces are in play… Make the call.” —Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin
Russel Adler is untethered, but the free world is far from safe.
Following Adler’s extraction by Frank Woods on June 10, 1984, Perseus agents Stitch, Wraith, and Knight gathered in an undisclosed location for a debriefing. The CIA’s rescue mission went faster than predicted, and their satellites are now interfering with Perseus’s broadcasts, halting Stitch’s grand experiment on the “test subjects” in Verdansk.
He still has an ace up his sleeve, however, as another agent is ready to make Perseus’s next check in the global chess game for power.
We see that agent, a menacing metal-faced assailant, breaching a CIA Ground Station compound in South Africa on June 26, 1984. He reaches the control room, where he takes a satellite specialist alive and phones in Stitch, who guides the hostage into de-orbiting two CIA satellites at specific points in Verdansk and Algeria. As these satellites hurtle down to earth, the masked Perseus agent strangles the life out of his victim on command, leaving no loose ends in Perseus’s path to world domination.
The next day, it appears one of the satellites has been downed deep in an Algerian desert. A CIA-led NATO squadron is on-site to assess the damage, neutralize hostiles, and gather any information from the satellite. Leading that task force is Adler himself, following weeks of recovery.
Despite physical and mental health clearances and numerous tests, something inside Adler seems to snap when he sees the satellite. Ignoring his squadmates, he recklessly charges forward, eliminating any forces in his path to grab a codec from the satellite.
After being questioned for his behavior, he grows even more abrasive to his allies.
“You don’t get the war we’re fighting, do you?” Adler says, in reply to a recruit from Egypt.
“Stitch is capable of anything.”
This all sets the stage for a new war arriving straight from orbit in Season Four in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, officially making its impact on June 17 worldwide. The season will be live following updates to Black Ops Cold War on June 15 at 9 PM PT and Warzone on June 16 at 9 PM PT.
Read on to learn everything you need to know about this upcoming season — or at least, what we can declassify today across Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer and Zombies, in addition to Warzone.
WARZONE AND BLACK OPS COLD WAR CONTENT:
Ground Fall Event Opens the Season with a Bang
Kicking off Season Four, the “Ground Fall” limited-time event will have you find and secure SAT-Links to score exclusive rewards for your global profile across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
For this event, you’ll tackle objectives pertaining to the new modes, maps, and weaponry in Black Ops Cold War and to the new Points of Interest in Warzone. Completing these objectives will reward you with items such as Emblems, Calling Cards, and a Satellite Weapon Charm, as well as some XP. Complete every challenge, and you’ll receive an Epic Secondary Weapon Blueprint that is truly out of this world.
You can find more details about this event in the Seasonal Event tab on the main menu between Play and Weapons once Season Four kicks off in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
Three New Operators, Including One from Requiem HQ
Both NATO and the Warsaw Pact are adding reinforcements to their front lines before mid-season. At that point, a familiar friend will join the fray.
Jackal: Warsaw Pact (Launch)
Jackal, the metal-masked South African native, made his mark by infiltrating the CIA Ground Station compound on behalf of Perseus. At Season Four’s launch, he’s ready to fight across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
A brutal mercenary leader, Jackal has ground his competition into the dirt, recruiting only the strongest survivors into his company. Hated and feared, he works for the highest bidder, and Perseus has very deep pockets…
Get access to Jackal for use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at Tier 0 in the Season Four Battle Pass and unlock an additional Ultra-Rarity Jackal Operator Skin at Tier 100.
What exactly is an Ultra-Rarity Operator Skin? Stay tuned for the Battle Pass and Bundles Breakdown blog on June 15 to learn more.
Salah: NATO (In-Season)
A member of the CIA-led squadron that infiltrated the Algerian satellite crash site, Salah has a wealth of combat and negotiation skills that make him an invaluable member of NATO’s finest.
A member of Egypt’s elite Unit 777 formed following the expulsion of the Soviets, Salah is a Counterterrorism and Hostage Rescue expert. Always positive and quick to see the best in people, he will always have your back.
Weaver: NATO (In-Season)
Later this season, Grigori Weaver will venture beyond Requiem’s classified HQ and face the undead threat head-on, in addition to any other NATO missions he’s called into across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
Born in the USSR and raised in America, CIA Clandestine Service Officer Grigori Weaver straddles both sides of the Cold War divide. With this Operator Skin based on his original Black Ops incarnation, Weaver’s dedication compels him to return to duty even after the recent loss of his left eye.
Get access to Salah and Weaver as part of upcoming Season Four Store Bundle offerings.
Free: Five New Weapons
When Season Four begins, you’ll need a bigger arsenal and the Battle Pass provides. Meet the two Battle Pass weapons and three unlockable armaments available to you during the season:
MG 82: LMG (Launch)
Full-auto light machine gun. Highest fire rate in class with improved aiming speed. Moderate recoil and damage with increased ammo capacity.
Obtain the MG 82 for free and ready to use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at Tier 15 of the Season Four Battle Pass.
C58: Assault Rifle (Launch)
Full-auto assault rifle. High damage at close range with a slower fire rate. Fast bullet velocity and reliable recoil control with less ammo capacity.
Obtain the C58 for free and ready to use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at Tier 31 of the Season Four Battle Pass.
Nail Gun: Special/SMG (BOCW/WZ) (Launch)
Time to get to work with this fully automatic Nail Gun, a 1980s precursor to the variant seen in the futuristic Black Ops III.
This slow-firing, highly mobile power tool uses compressed air to launch fast-moving projectiles that deal high damage at close range.
Expect to put a nail (or three) in your competition’s coffin after three successful hits within a few meters in Multiplayer — or more if the engagement stretches out to distances where you may need to lead shots for success.
OTs 9: SMG (In-Season)
Boasting great stopping power and a phenomenal rate of fire, the OTs 9 is hindered only by its low magazine capacity of 20 rounds.
Those who control its recoil will find it can work well in individual engagements, and with available magazine attachments, it holds its own in squad fights.
Mace: Melee (In-Season)
Get medieval on your enemies with this in-season melee weapon, bringing the available number of hand-to-hand combat tools in Black Ops Cold War to eight, including the Ballistic Knife.
A weapon ill fit for the weak, Mace can inflict critical damage on command — no dice rolls needed on whether it can bludgeon your rivals in a single blow within Multiplayer.
Obtain the Nail Gun, OTs 9, and Mace during Season Four in one of two ways: complete an in-game challenge to obtain the free base weapon or pick up a bundle with a unique Blueprint version when it appears in the Store.
BLACK OPS COLD WAR FREE CONTENT:
Four Multiplayer Maps
Explore four additional Multiplayer maps, from the deserts of Algeria to a return visit to everyone’s favorite luxury yacht on the open seas.
Collateral (12v12) and Collateral Strike (6v6) (Launch)
Don’t get sandblasted in this new, fast-paced map built for both traditional and Combined Arms play.
Collateral places NATO and Warsaw Pact forces under the scorching desert sun in Algeria, where a CIA satellite has crashed into an abandoned village, the very same location that Adler and company secured on June 27, 1984.
In addition to this village is a large oil drill operation and surrounding dunes. These areas, along with the satellite and village, offer a variety of quick engagement opportunities, whether you’re chasing enemies up and down the buildings or using the terrain and satellite parts for natural and environmental cover.
While the Strike version of this desert locale is tailored for 6v6 play, the 12v12 version includes vehicular combat, as Operators are able to make use of air-to-ground assaults and fend off rival aerial vehicles.
Amsterdam (2v2 and 3v3) (Launch)
Everything is legal in this new close-quarters map built for Gunfight and Face Off.
Fight clean or dirty across Amsterdam’s rooftops, featured prominently in the Black Ops Cold War Campaign curtain-raiser mission “Nowhere Left to Run.” Use the rooftop fixtures for cover as you fend off the opposition in Gunfight with random Loadouts or, in Face Off, your own handcrafted armament, equipment, and Perk combination.
Hijacked (6v6) (Launch)
A beloved 6v6 map first appearing in Black Ops II, Hijacked takes place on a commandeered superyacht deep in international waters. Fighting occurs on all decks of this vessel from bow to stern, including the boiler room and a center area complete with a hot tub.
As any Black Ops veteran player can attest to, it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled for a vent around this section of the boat; it may be big enough to fit an equipment piece through, and it could help your squad clear out areas that hold important objectives. Look for this classic map to drop at Season Four’s launch.
Rush (6v6) (In-Season)
Hijacked isn’t the only classic map returning from Black Ops II for Season Four.
Later in the season, prepare to show off the art of war in this remastered paintball-themed 6v6 map. This chaotic arena offers multiple opportunities for up-close-and-personal combat, with narrow choke zones to scurry through and a scattering of exterior structures offering longer-range takedown possibilities. Paint the floors red when Rush drops later during this season.
A New Multiplayer Mode and Two Returning Favorites
Dial up the whole squad. All Operators are needed to secure Sat-Links in Black Ops Cold War’s largest maps, and if you’re down to party, prepare to load up One in the Chamber and fight to be the last Operator standing.
Multi-Team: Sat-Link (Launch)
Power up and keep your satellite online for as long as possible to gain points in the latest mode for ten quads across a variety of locales in the Ural Mountains.
Upon reaching the Sat-Link marked on your map, your squad will power it up. It will then unfold and start uploading crucial data to the satellites still in orbit. Before you reach a site, search for item crates that may contain powerful Scorestreaks or other items to help you wipe other squads also tasked with transferring classified intel.
The team that reaches the score limit first achieves victory.
One in the Chamber (Launch)
Make sure your aim is true in this free-for-all party game where each player gets only one bullet to start; you receive another bullet only when you get a kill.
First introduced in the original Black Ops, One in the Chamber gives you three lives and a single, incredibly lethal bullet. If that one shot lands anywhere on an enemy, they will lose a life while you gain another bullet. Melee attacks are also lethal, so be prepared for some serious fisticuffs if you and your enemy both lose your golden bullet.
Get in some practice with the 1911 and Magnum before playing One in the Chamber, in addition to the new Scorestreak set to arrive in Season Four…
Capture the Flag (In-Season)
An objective mode whose roots stem from the very first Call of Duty Multiplayer experience, Capture the Flag (CTF) is a competitive game where squads must take the enemy’s flag and return it to their home base, while also defending theirs from the enemy team.
A flag will not be captured unless a team’s own flag is safe in their base, so squads must have both a good offense and defense to win the match.
Prepare for some CTF later in Season Four, where it will have its own featured playlist with plenty of 6v6 maps in the rotation.
New Scorestreak — The Hand Cannon
Desperate times call for “Desperate Measures,” and those who completed that mission in Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign know the power of the Hand Cannon.
A semiautomatic handgun chambered in a ridiculously high-caliber round, the Hand Cannon delivers lethal damage to anywhere on the body, as the sheer kinetic impact incapacitates any Operator at a minimum, or blows them to smithereens with a well-placed shot.
The Hand Cannon can also deal significant damage to enemy vehicle Scorestreaks, especially those on the ground, but with only eight rounds in its chamber, it may be worth using them all on infantry forces.
Welcome to the Zoo — A New Outbreak Region, Main Quest, and Intel in Zombies
It’s feeding time in Outbreak.
At the launch of Season Four, prepare for your squad to get a little wild with this new Outbreak region deep within the Ural Mountains, set in a sprawling zoo overrun by the undead. Don’t feed the zombies as you complete objectives, uncover new Dark Aether story Intel, and even find some World Events. Who knows? Maybe even the Orda exhibit will arrive when you warp into the Zoo in later rounds…
The Dark Aether story will expand in Outbreak at the start of the season with “Operation Excision,” the newest Zombies Main Quest that will serve as a narrative prologue to the next round-based map coming mid-season.
After witnessing the community take down the Legion and thwart “Operatsiya Inversiya” in Season Three, we have no doubt that Requiem’s finest will be able to conquer this new challenge, and in doing so, will reveal what’s to come later this season…
“Mauer der Toten”: Treyarch’s New Zombies Experience Arriving Mid-Season
Fans of “Die Maschine,” “Firebase Z,” and other classic round-based Zombies experiences will be welcomed home in “Mauer der Toten,” the next chapter in the Black Ops Cold War Zombies coming mid-season.
Taking place after the events of “Operation Excision” in Outbreak, the Dark Aether story will continue in Treyarch’s next Zombies map, where players will take on new terrors in war-torn East Berlin after a devastating zombie invasion has overtaken the city.
The Zombies team is chomping at the bit to share more about this new experience soon, but for now, expect “Mauer der Toten” to offer plenty of new twists, turns, and terrifying undead threats for players to conquer.
New Onslaught Content (PlayStation) (Launch and In-Season)
Zombies players on PlayStation should ready themselves for new updates to Onslaught in Season Four, starting with Collateral as a new map on launch day, complete with new story Intel to discover.
Later in the season, expect to face the horde on the Multiplayer map Rush, fight at breakneck speeds in the “Onslaught Accelerated” limited-time mode, and get your hands on a Legendary LMG Weapon Blueprint for completing an Onslaught-specific challenge.
WARZONE FREE CONTENT:
Perseus’s plans to activate its sleeper cells may have failed, but Verdansk ’84 is still a hotbed for nonstop action as Warzone enters Season Four alongside Black Ops Cold War.
New Points of Interest — Satellite Crash Sites (Launch)
Several Satellites have crash-landed in Verdansk, leaving you and your squad to investigate their rubble.
Although they won’t appear on your Tac Map, the Satellite Crash Sites will be plainly visible in Verdansk, as the debris and impact on the landscape is significant. Besides offering new opportunities for cover, the satellites themselves can also be secured.
Interact with the Sat-Links found in the area to work toward receiving permanent rewards in the Ground Fall event at the beginning of the season. Also, secure helpful items to use during the match, such as powerful Killstreaks, vehicles, and Field Upgrades.
The Red Doors (Launch)
Our intel cannot explain the origin of these mysterious red doors around Verdansk, but one thing is certain: They allow you to [[REDACTED]] around the [[REDACTED]]. What’s behind them? Explore and enter them to [[REDACTED]] across the [[REDACTED]].
Red Doors won’t [[REDACTED]] unless you ping them, and after you step through, there’s no telling [[REDACTED]] exiting out the other side… and stepping into a [[REDACTED]].
Hijacked Gulag (Launch)
Prepare for your mission in Black Ops Cold War and challenge a rival to win back deployment to Warzone with this mock-up of the classic map Hijacked, which will replace the current Standoff Gulag when Season Four launches.
This truncated version features a plywood re-creation of the yacht’s central area, a prime location for important objectives such as a Domination flag in Multiplayer, which has the same location as the Overtime flag spawn during a Gulag duel.
No need to worry about rough waters here, although you may need to avoid hitting the rocks being thrown from the balconies during your fight for survival.
New Vehicle — Dirt Bike (Launch)
Terror on two wheels arrives in Warzone with the release of the Dirt Bike, the first brand-new vehicle to drop into the DZ. Ramp up your off-road antics with this extremely maneuverable scrambler, scattered across Verdansk and ready to use at the start of a match.
With an excellent turning radius, carry yourself and a companion across the concrete jungle, up goat trails, and down rock-filled ravines with ease. Deft and nimble, this new option to the Warzone ground transportation fleet is ready to compete with the ATV in terms of furious off-road action.
In addition to becoming the new fastest vehicle in Warzone, the Dirt Bike will have some unique handling properties, such as wheel traction, sliding, drifting, and vehicle leaning, allowing you to take epic hairpin turns, dodge oncoming fire, or pull off sick stunts by controlling your orientation in the air.
In addition, all Dirt Bike skins you may have unlocked in Black Ops Cold War (e.g., via previous Battle Passes or Store Bundles) will be accessible, allowing you to customize your ride as soon as you saddle up.
Downtown Tower: Under New Management (Launch)
The towering Downtown complex across from the Financial District is here to stay after its tenant decided to move back West to sunny Los Angeles. This point of interest, now referred to by Operators as Downtown Tower, has had its vault opened and cleared of valuables, but remains a vast and strategically valuable location to dominate your enemies from.
Although it may be under new management, expect the meta tactics you learned during the ’80s Action Heroes event to come in handy.
Two New Game Modes, Including Verdansk Resurgence Mini at Launch
Verdansk gets a taste of Rebirth Island’s frenetic Resurgence Mini mode when Season Four launches and gets its first ever objective-based mode at mid-season.
Verdansk Resurgence Mini (Launch)
The Resurgence has spread from Rebirth Island to Verdansk, and now every kill counts even more toward victory.
This new playlist mimics the Rebirth Island Resurgence experience more accurately compared to the standard Verdansk Resurgence Battle Royale.
In addition to the standard rules — no Gulag, extreme clarity on enemy positions upon elimination of a squad member, a Resurgence timer, and special Supply Boxes — the Verdansk Resurgence Mini features more intimate lobby sizes of 44 to 45 Operators at maximum, depending on the squad size.
Games begin in a compact DZ, with circles inside a random position in Verdansk. The first circle will be “skipped” to create a small, dense, and action-packed starting area. The items you’ll find around here are more frequent and of higher quality compared to a traditional Battle Royale mode, with games also expected to be shorter in length on average for a truly bite-sized first-person shooter survival experience.
This game mode will be available in a variety of squad sizes — Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads — which is likely to swap into the Featured Playlist Rotation weekly following Season Four’s launch.
Payload (Mid-Season)
Warzone thus far has been a game of “kill or be killed.” However, during Season Four, Operators will be able to drop in for the game’s first-ever objective-based game mode: Payload.
In Payload, you and 39 other Operators drop in to escort two caravans of vehicles through a series of checkpoints or sabotage the mission. Build or destroy barriers and purchase buildings to aid in your squad’s mission, and be sure to collect any contracts you find around Verdansk, as they will help lead to success.
More details are to come on this new mode later this season.

New Prestige Levels — 19 and Still Counting…
At the start of Season Four, your Season Level will refresh to Level 1, and your progress will resume from the highest Prestige Level you achieved previously. This season offers four additional Prestiges to achieve across the first 200 levels, as well as a new Weapon Blueprint:
· Level 50: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, Weapon Blueprint, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
· Level 100: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
· Level 150: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
· Levels 250–1,000: New Prestige Key every 50 levels
This means you can earn four new Prestige Levels during Season Four — now 19 in total — and you can always catch up to the latest available Prestige if you didn’t reach it during the previous season.
Reach Level 200 in Season Four to achieve the title of Prestige Master for this season. This changes your Season Level color and grants you the ability to personalize your Prestige Icon with Legacy Prestige Icons from previous Call of Duty games — including from the original Black Ops — simply by spending some of your hard-earned Prestige Keys at the Prestige Shop.
You can continue past Level 200 all the way to Level 1,000 during Season Four, and receive Prestige Key milestone rewards at every 50 levels along the way.
Finally, don’t forget that your Prestige-leveling journey is synchronized with Warzone and Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare®, meaning you can progress through Season Levels and increase your Prestige Level by earning XP in any of the three titles!
Black Ops Cold War and Warzone: Gifting System Expansion
Starting in Season Four, friends can send the Battle Pass, Battle Pass Bundle, or Store Bundles to one another within Black Ops Cold War. In Warzone, players will be able to receive gifts at the start of the season, with additional gifting functionality planned for later in the season. More information on this expansion will be available in the Season Four Battle Pass and Bundles Breakdown Blog on June 15.
Enabling two-factor authentication on your Activision account is required for gifting, and with the current bonus of two hours of Double Battle Pass XP Tokens just for signing up, there’s never been a better time to set up 2FA on your account.
