Halo Infinite Battle Pass Confirmed & Won’t Expire, More Multiplayer Details Revealed

Following yesterday’s big Halo Infinite multiplayer reveal, 343 Industries has dwecided to give players a deeper look with a multiplayer overview! One major thing confirmed is that there will be a Halo Infinite Battle Pass (no surprise there), and it won’t expire compared to other multiplayer games!

In the video presentation, 343 Industries has also confirmed that there won’t be any loot boxes in the game, and there won’t be any “pay-to-win” element even if it is a free-to-play game.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer Details Revealed on June 14:

  • Halo Infinite Battle Pass confirmed, and won’t expire
  • Crossplay and cross-progression (PC, Xbox)
  • Academy Mode for newcomers to the franchise multiplayer (weapons training, multiplayer vocabulary understanding)
  • Post-launch content planned
  • Millions of combination when it comes to personalization
  • Customize weapons, armor, and even vehicles

Expect more info to trickle out within the year, but so far, everything about it has sounded solid so far. You can watch the entire 12-minute presentation below for more Halo Infinite multiplayer footage.

A non-expiring Battle Pass is definitely good news, as not everyone has the time to complete all the challenges and requirements in just a month or until the next season rolls around. Here’s hoping others follow suit with this idea.

Halo Infinite is set for release sometime this year for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Back 4 Blood Split-Screen Co-Op Not Available at Launch, Aiming Down Sight Given as an “Option”

While we just got a look at Back 4 Blood’s PvP mode yesterday, developer Turtle Rock Studios has answered some fan questions that confirmed a few things! For those expecting Back 4 Blood split-screen co-op, you’ll sadly not have it available.

In a video Q&A, Turtle Rock Studios Executive Producer Matt O’Driscoll confirmed this, as well as other info.

Q: Is there Split screen co-op?

Turtle Rock: We would love to support split screen but right now it is unfortunately something that will not be available at launch.

If you saw the gameplay videos floating about, you might have noticed that players are able to ADS (aim down sights), which is a departure from the Left 4 Dead franchise which the game is based on (Turtle Rock developed that game too). When asked about it, O’Driscoll mentioned that players can take this away and have other bonus (via the Cards system) in its place.

Q: Why did you invlude ADS in Back 4 Blood when it wasn’t in Left 4 Dead?

Turtle Rock: We are aware that a lot of games support ADS and that its common, so we wanted to give players the option. There are cards that take away ADS [and grant other bonuses] if that’s not your thing.

There are other questions answered in the interview, though they aren’t really new or interesting. But if you want to watch the entire thing, head on over here (around the 5:41:25 mark).

Back 4 Blood will be released this October 12 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The Debut Trailer for Instinction is Here, Watch the Dinos Walk Once More

Taking the front spot at the Future Game Show event. Hashbane Interactive has finally revealed the trailer to their upcoming dino-survivor co-op game, Instinction.

Instinction Trailer

There isn’t a whole lot of gameplay from the trailer, as it mostly appears to focus on it’s gorgeous environment and lively dinosaurs, but from the snippets we can see that this will be a hybrid between both first and third person views, with what also appears to be a large open-world to explore.

It’s not much to go on if we are honest, but Hashbane has clarified that they do plan on showing some extended gameplay later this year.

No release date has been given, though it is targeting a 2022 release window. It will be available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.

Instinction Features:

GAMEPLAY

Slay terrifying prehistoric creatures in this semi-open world epic adventure, with immersive combat and exploration in multiple awe inspiring natural locations, all while solving puzzles and completing campaigns. Single player and co-op.

WEAPONRY

Weapon loadouts to suit your playstyle, from melee weapons to rocket launchers with fully customisable in-game attachment, skin and reticle editor.

Find and earn attachments as you progress. The game will also take advantage of adaptive trigger and haptic feedback support.

DYNAMIC MENUS

Access quick settings and you’ll also be able to toggle each HUD element on and off, items such as the mini-map, ammunition, compass, mission, hints and inventory. Everything, including HUD positioning, is fully customisable and you have the ability to choose presets or create your own.

VISUAL FIDELITY

We have paid particular focus on next-generation consoles and GPUs. Utilising advanced ray-tracing, DLSS 2.0, HDRI, screen space effects, shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion. Dynamic resolution and frame rates with forward support for gaming at 8k and 120fps.

Back 4 Blood PvP Swarm Mode Announced, New Trailers Feature Gameplay & Different Ridden Variants

In Swarm, two squads of four players on each side will face off against one another in best-of-three series of rounds, as teams swap between playing as the Cleaners (humans, zombie killers), and the Ridden (monsters). Gamers can choose from nine Ridden variants: the Tallboy, Bruiser, Crusher, Reeker, Exploder, Retch, Stinger, Hocker and Stalker. Guardians of the Galaxy The Game by Square Enix and Eidos Montreal Launches this October

It’s time to get awesome and direct the mismatched misfits from outer space as a team, as Guardians of the Galaxy The Game has been revealed Square Enix and Eidos Montreal — and it launches for consoles and PC this October!

Check out the amazing first trailer below and see how you as the player must control Star-Lord to lead his team!

Here’s the overview of the game as described by the developers via press release!

Fire up Star-Lord’s jet boots for a wild ride across the cosmos in this fresh take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. With the unpredictable Guardians at your side, blast your way from one explosive situation to another, with both original and well-known Marvel characters caught in a struggle for the fate of the universe. You got this. Probably.

The Eidos-Montréal team is honored to have the opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise alongside our trusted collaborators at Marvel Entertainment,” said David Anfossi, Head of Studio at Eidos-Montréal. “Our teams are known for revisiting IPs and bringing their own twists and craft to the stories and the art surrounding them. As you will experience, it’s no different for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is created by the seasoned Eidos-Montréal team, working closely with Marvel Entertainment to provide an original and authentic experience inspired by over 50 years of Guardians of the Galaxy lore. Influenced by the comics, this unique spin on the Guardians of the Galaxy will take players on a riotous journey across the stars as Peter Quill and the Guardians unintentionally become the galaxy’s first and last line of defense.

A distinct mix of sci-fi, family drama, and rock n’ roll attitude with an edgy aesthetic is the foundation for our Guardians franchise”, said Jay Ong, EVP and Head of Marvel Games. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Eidos-Montréal knowing they are the team that can deliver on this core promise. The team’s laser-focused vision for our beloved band of misfits shines in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. We are excited for our fans to play it this October.

Master Star-Lord’s dynamic combat style to obliterate foes with his Element Blasters and call on the unique abilities of each Guardian to defeat a wild variety of interplanetary enemies. Also, as self-proclaimed leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, players will engage in select player-choice driven dialogue and interactions between Quill and the Guardians that further strengthens the bonds within this dysfunctional family.

Finally, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy wouldn’t be complete without a killer soundtrack to rock out to while soaring through space in the Milano. The game is jam-packed with classic 1980s hits and kicking original tracks.

Looking very much inspired by the James Gunn directed Marvel Studios films of the same name, Guardians of the Galaxy The Game will definitely get fans excited to play as Star-Lord and lead Gamora, Rocket, Drax, and Groot on many missions and misadventures around the galaxy while having some 80’s styled retro music playing on the background. In fact, Square Enix also released some gameplay footage and a behind the scenes video during their Square Enix Presents E3 showcase.

We reported that Guardians of the Galaxy The Game would be appearing on Square Enix Presents, and sure enough it did!

Guardians of the Galaxy the Game will be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on October 26!
