Destiny 2 Update 1.032 Flies Out for Update 3.4.0.1 This December 16

Bungie has rolled out the Destiny 2 update 1.032 patch this December 16 for both last-gen and next-gen platforms! This is called update 3.4.0.1, and includes a host of tweaks to gameplay, activities and more. Head on here below for the full patch notes.

Destiny 2 Update 1.032 Patch Notes:

Activities

Trials of Osiris

  • Fixed an issue where players were not placed into the Flawless matchmaking pool upon achieving a Flawless passage.

Grasp of Avarice

  • Fixed an issue where Grisprax’s faction icon would not appear.
  • Fixed reward lockouts so each encounter can be looted for rerolls an unlimited amount of times per week, as intended. New items from the loot pool and Power are gated to once per week, per class.
  • Fixed activity crash in Sunken Lair encounter when killing Servitors.
  • Prevented bad bread-crumbing causing players to get stuck in crystal pit after dropping down from the Loot Cave.
  • Players can no longer continue to generate cursed engrams during DPS.
  • Fixed issue with Servitor bombs sometimes disappearing without explosion VFX when the timer runs out.
  • Fixed falsely advertised Weekly challenge pinnacle reward displayed when switching between classes and creating new characters.
  • Fixed combatants that did not despawn in Ogre and Loot Cave encounters.
  • Fixed Teammates not able to be revived if killed by trap on starting platform of the Sparrow section.
  • Updated pathfinding to prevent Cursed engrams dropped by the Reaver Vandal from falling into a pit.

Dares of Eternity

  • Fixed an issue where damage to Aspects of Crota would sometimes not ramp up in line with the Team Buff counter.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed vex craniums to damage other players.

Strikes

  • Lake of Shadows
    • To bring this boss encounter more in line with other strikes and our modern sandbox gameplay, Grask’s health has been increased by 34%, to a total of 134% of the previous value. He might last at least a minute or two against most fireteams now, even against ‘ol Gally.
    • Fixed an issue where if a player destroyed the second and third Blights before the first one, a number of combatants wouldn’t spawn. In addition to their normal behavior, they now also spawn if you attempt to move up the alley, regardless of the status of the Blights.
  • The Scarlet Keep
    • Fixed an issue where the crystal to continue the strike was permanently invincible if players got to the Wizard at the first stop of the elevator and killed it before the crystal could spawn.

Gameplay and Investment

Weapons

  • Added guaranteed drops of Dreaming City weapons from completing the Blind Well event.
  • Fixed issue with Wish-Ender Exotic Bow that blocked ornament application.

Abilities

  • Hunter’s Marksman and Gambler’s Dodges now break projectile tracking in PVE modes.
  • Fixed an issue where Stasis Crystals were damaging themselves while spawning.
  • Fixed an issue where Magnetic and Flux Grenades were deleting themselves when impacting allies. Now attach to allies on impact.
  • Fixed an issue where uncharged melee attacks were being suppressed for 1.5 seconds after the Winter’s Wrath super ended.
  • Increased size of the area that Coldsnap Grenade uses to find its initial target from 10m to 20m.
  • Fixed an issue where Penumbral Blast was not reliably creating Iceflare Bolts if the impact or detonation damage killed the target outright.

Bounties and Pursuits

  • Changed the Champion kills objective of the Stasis Fragment quest Umbral Flames to require Champion kills as a Stasis Subclass—rather than Champion kills with the Stasis element.
  • Players who discard the Xenology quest per character will once again be able to re-acquire it from Xûr.

Rewards

  • Fixed an issue causing players to be able to claim the Resplendent Reward Package from Xûr multiple times and across multiple characters.
    • Players who own the 30th Anniversary Pack will now earn the Resplendent Reward Package the first time they complete To the Daring Go the Spoils, and the package can’t be claimed from Xûr prior to being earned from the quest.
    • Players who purchase the 30th Anniversary Pack after completing the onramp can obtain the package from Xûr in Eternity.
  • Players can now reclaim the class-specific Streetwear Bundle packages if they get sent to the Postmaster where they can potentially be deleted if the Postmaster becomes full. These packages can be reclaimed from Xûr in Eternity if the Resplendent Reward Package has been claimed but the Streetwear Bundle package is not currently in the player’s inventory.
  • Players can now reclaim the Strange Key from Xûr in Eternity if they dismantle it before using it as part of the Magnum Opus quest. The Strange Key can be reclaimed by players who have already obtained it naturally and dismantled it as long as they are on an appropriate step of the quest.
  • Fixed an issue allowing players to earn rewards from the free chest in Xûr’s Treasure Hoard without a Treasure Key.

General

  • Fixed a bug in text chat where multiple clan messages could be received all at once after re-enabling text chat.
  • Forsaken Ciphers
    • Exchanging Forsaken Ciphers for Ascendant Shards on the Monument to Lost Lights is now only available after players have already acquired dungeon Forsaken Exotics.
    • The Monument to Lost Lights now displays a waypoint if players have Forsaken Ciphers to pick up.
    • Exchanging Forsaken Ciphers for Ascendant Shards now has a four second purchase timer, to prevent accidental purchases. Buyer’s remorse in my holiday season? It’s more likely than you think.

Stay tuned to Xur’s wares, and Trials of Osiris tomorrow.

Must-Read for Destiny 2 This Friday:

Destiny 2 Update 2.37 Patch Notes | Destiny 2 Update 3.4.0.1 Patch Notes:

Apex Legends Update 1.85 Released for Exploit Fixes & More This December 16

Respawn Entertainment just released the Apex Legends update 1.85 patch this December 16, and this is to plug an exploit alongside various fixes. Check out the short list of official patch notes below.

Apex Legends Update 1.85 Patch Notes:

Here’s the official announcement from Respawn Entertainment:

  • A variety of client and server errors
  • Custom reticle colors resetting in some instances
  • Controller players being unable to ping in deathboxes or Loba’s Black Market
  • An exploit to retain cells/thermite used while charging the Rampage or Sentinel
  • An issue with the Wave Shift Wraith Skin

Over on Reddit, a user pointed out that some bugs are on the Sentinel still!

Looks like there are two bugs on the Sentinel still:
1. Gold body shield is not reducing the number of cells required to charge the Sentinel from 2 to 1.
2. There are 1-2 seconds of delay after the timer finishes for charging the Sentinel before the gun becomes amped. Trying to ADS, sprint, etc during this delay will cancel the charge.

For the patch that included a huge list of changes, check out the Raiders Collection patch notes right here. If there are other changes not mentioned in the patch notes, feel free to leave a comment below to let the other players know.

Marvel’s Avengers Units & Fragments Lost From Holiday Patch Reimbursment Announced

In case you didn’t know, Crystal Dynamics delivered the Marvel’s Avengers Holiday Content patch at the end of last month. While new content is always welcome, it unfortunately carried a bug with it that made people lose their Units and Fragments. Crystal Dynamics has announced that the Marvel’s Avengers Units & Resources lost via the patch will get a reimbursment!

Marvel’s Avengers Units & Fragments Glitch From Holiday Patch Reimbusrment Plan & Explanation:

We were able to determine that only players who had over 65,535 Units or 65,535 Fragments prior to the Holiday Content Patch were affected, meaning if you had less, you didn’t lose any Units or Fragments. We now have a solution for those players and would like to share it with you here.

We have prepared a grant for those players that will happen upon log-in sometime on December 15. We are calculating how many Units each of these players have earned in their entire lifetime of playing Marvel’s Avengers. Using this information, we are granting players who logged in between November 30 to December 1 (when the Holiday Content Patch went live to went Patch 2.2c was published) a number of Units and Fragments based on each player’s max lifetime earn.

This means that if a player earned a total of 260,000 Units and 26,000 Fragments in your entire time playing Marvel’s Avengers and logged in between November 30 to December 1 between the two patch times, you’ll automatically receive 500,000 Units and 100,000 Fragments when you log in, which isn’t a bad deal.

It’s a hassle getting hit with the bug, but at least you’ll be getting more Units and Fragments than before. For those wondering what’s in store for the future of the game, Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that we’ll see the game’s next roadmap revealed in “early 2022.”

Diablo 2 Resurrected Upcoming Update 2.4 Preview: Includes Ranked Ladder Season, Balance Changes

While Blizzard Entertainment has been active in patching Diablo 2 Resurrected when it comes to bugs and whatnot, the studio isn’t stopping there, as more stuff is incoming to players soon. The studio gave a Diablo 2 Resurrected upcoming update 2.4 preview where the first ladder rank season is talked about, as well as balance changes.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Upcoming Update 2.4 Preview:

Release: Early 2022

LADDER RANK PLAY

Like Diablo II Classic, Diablo II: Resurrected will feature four different Ladder modes, including:

Version Description
Standard Ladder The casual version of Ladder play that encompasses playing with four acts.
Hardcore Ladder The hardcore (only 1 life) version of Ladder play that encompasses playing with four acts.
Standard Expansion Ladder The casual version of Ladder play that encompasses playing five acts, as it includes the “Lord of Destruction” expansion content.
Hardcore Expansion Ladder The hardcore (only 1 life) version of Ladder play that encompasses playing five acts, as it includes the “Lord of Destruction” expansion content.

For the first time, players will have the chance to unlock a host of new Rune Words in the Ladder system! To be clear, these Rune Words have never existed in the game before, and they will not be accessible in non-Ladder play like the previous set of Ladder-only Rune Words in the original Diablo II experience. At the end of a Ladder season, players who successfully made these Rune Words will have their Ladder characters be moved into a “non-Ladder” version of the game. Then at the beginning of the next Ladder season, players will make a new Ladder character and start all over again to earn new rewards.

Blizzard says they are considering four months of Ladder Seasons, though nothing has been set in stone just yet. Players interested to see the Rune Words, there’s going to be a devstream set for tomorrow (will air at 11AM PST/2PM EST/3AM HKT on Twitch).

CLASS BALANCE CHANGES

Eleven years later after the last Diablo 2 class balance changes (last one was released on March 23, 2010), Blizzard is looking to adjust the game’s various classes. Here’sa preview of each and what’s planned:

AMAZON

The Amazon’s agility and versatility are profound. Generally, we like the current state of the Amazon class and believe her to be quite balanced. Nonetheless, we see an opportunity to improve the Amazon’s melee skills. We want to buff the strengths of certain underused melee skills such as Impale and Fend to give more reasons to use them. We are also looking into freeing up synergy requirements for melee skills to give more skill point freedom for other possibilities.

Additionally, we are also considering buffing certain skills in the Bow and Crossbow tree to help improve bow gameplay in higher difficulties.

ASSASSIN

The Assassin vanquishes evil from the darkness with great ease. However, for this class, we see an opportunity for the Martial Arts builds to shine brighter. Martial Arts skills can become increasingly challenging to perform in higher difficulties, so we are re-evaluating how to improve generating and spending Combo Points.

Furthermore, various Trap skills are not often used. So, we’re re-evaluating synergy requirements to promote more trap builds and damage scaling buffs.

BARBARIAN

The brawn of the Barbarian is unmatched. Nonetheless, we see opportunities to add more diversity to Combat skills. We’re looking into adding more possibilities with Combat Skills such as Leap Attack and Grim Ward, while also re-evaluating skill synergy requirements to promote more reasons to spend points on certain Combat Skills.
Additionally, we think Throwing Barbarians can be more viable, so we are looking into enhancing the Double Throw and Throwing Mastery skills.

DRUID

The bestial ferocity of the Druid makes all tremble. With that said, we see exciting opportunities to level up certain aspects of this class. From our perspective, Druid Fire skills are underperforming. We’re re-evaluating Casting Delays for Fire skills, exploring improvements to some of their Physical Damage components, and improving synergies. We’re also looking at potential tweaks affecting other Elemental skills that are underused. We want to improve the controls for Arctic Blast too, such as allowing more free form while channeling and no longer locking your targeting onto one enemy at a time.

Regarding Summon skills, we believe Summons are weak in high difficulty. On this front, we’re evaluating health gains per level, quality-of-life improvements, damage output, and new synergies for Ravens, Wolves, and Vines.

Lastly, we’re evaluating improvements to the Werebear skills, primarily focused on synergy improvements.

NECROMANCER

The commander of death sends his foes to an early grave. Like the Amazon, we like the current state of the Necromancer class. Nonetheless, we see an opportunity to improve specific Summons we believe are underused. We’re balancing elemental damages of Skeletal Mages and making lesser used Golems more effective.
Additionally, we see opportunities for Bone skill improvements in high difficulty. We’re tweaking synergies on this front.

PALADIN

The wrath of the holy zealot is glorious. Despite this, we believe certain Combat skills are underused. We’re exploring ways to make lesser-used skills (I.e., Fist of the Heavens) more utilized, so players have more reasons to spend skill points to unlock these skills.

We also see an opportunity to scale Offensive Aura skills as well. This includes making improvements to AoE Damage auras to make them more effective at closer range. We also want to improve Thorns so that it can scale better and deal more reliable damage at higher levels.

SORCERESS

There is no greater master of elemental magic than these mages. We’re very satisfied with the Sorceress’s current state, but we see a few of opportunities for improvements.

Regarding Cold Skills, we believe there can be more diversity with the armor skills (I.e., Frozen Armor, Shiver Armor, and Chilling Armor) for distinctive advantages.

We are also looking into adding more build possibilities around lesser used Lightning skills by exploring more skill synergies.
Lastly, we’re also revisiting Fire skills, to improve underused ones, like Hydra. Similar to Arctic Blast, we’re exploring making player control improvements to the Inferno skill so that it is less clunky to use.

There is no release window or date announced for patch 2.4, but once we know more, we’ll let our readers know.
