[All Platforms] Loading Screen: Krampus has stolen the images that normally appear on the Loading Screen.
Description
Please bring them home.
Raven Software has not released the official patch notes for this Warzone update just yet, but Activision did announce the Festive Fervor event earlier this week, and it’s set to launch tomorrow, December 16!
Start Date: Festive Fervor will officially start on December 16 across Vanguard and Warzone Pacific, following an update to Vanguard on December 15 at 9 PM PT, and an update to Warzone Pacific on December 16 at 9PM PT.
Twelve Days of Deals on Classic Bundles. Starting on December 14, Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Bundles will be available at a holiday discount for use in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Pacific.
– Sleigh in Style with New Vanguard Bundles. Four festive Bundles highlight new Store offerings as we rotate to 2022. Use these in both Vanguard and Warzone Pacific.
– Krampus Is Coming… For anyone who doesn’t play the objective in Vanguard, or whoever dares to find him on Caldera, prepare for his wrath….
– Elf Team Six, Reporting for Duty. Find these mischievous holiday helpers across Vanguard and Warzone Pacific and earn rewards.
– Vanguard Owners Get 10 Tier Skips, 10% Seasonal XP Boost, and More. Receive these gifts by purchasing and playing Vanguard before December 31. All owners will get these items starting on December 16, 2021.
– The Main Event: Complete Festive Fervor Challenges, Get Rewarded. Thirteen total items, including a Weapon Blueprint for completing all six Vanguard or Warzone Pacific challenges.
Warzone Pacific: Season’s Greetings from the Isles — Holiday Surprises Across Caldera, Rebirth Island
Caldera Receives Festive Fir Trees with Presents for All!
Those who drop into Caldera during Festive Fervor can’t miss the invasive vegetation among the palm trees and other Pacific foliage: Festive Fir Trees!
Marked on the Tac Map with a special tree icon, these temporary landmarks will be placed at specific points of interest across the island.
Any squad that stays within the Fir Tree’s zone — under the tree and around it — for a short period of time will cause several Supply Boxes to magically appear, including special Holiday Crates that could contain Legendary items for that match, limited-time rewards, or even some coal for those Operators on the naughty list.
Krampus — The Terror of the Isles with Plenty of “Gifts” for Festive Fervor
Beyond being a sign to do some good this holiday season, the coal found in those Holiday Crates does attract a certain folklore creature.
Krampus tends to spend his holidays on Caldera and Rebirth Island, where within minutes of a match starting, he goes on the hunt for sport. While his choice of target is more random here than in Vanguard, he does tend to hunt down those who received coal from the Holiday Crates.
This mythical creature will take three minutes to complete his hunt before he disappears for his next target, or he’ll be killed and give out a special permanent reward for the squad that faces his wrath.
Because these islands are his usual stomping grounds, Krampus has some other surprises in store throughout Festive Fervor. Fortunately, all of these are relatively nice — expect modifiers like increased chances of Legendary Supply Boxes or half-off Buybacks on each day of this holiday event.
Elf and Seek — The Gnomes Take Over the Islands
Just like Krampus, some mischievous creatures also call Caldera and Rebirth Island their home and are waiting for Operators to seek them.
These gnomes are just as carefree as Elf Team Six, hollering at any Operator who gets within 10 meters of them. Squads who find and destroy them will receive rewards like a Double XP Token or a Calling Card.
Vanguard’s Festive Fervor Event and Bundles Available in Warzone
Those who want to earn Festive Fervor’s ultimate Epic LMG Blueprint can alternatively complete six unique challenges in Warzone Pacific, each with a reward like a Battle Pass Tier Skip, Double XP Token, and more.
These challenges include dealing 365 points of damage to Krampus, destroying those pesky gnomes, or simply playing the game and roaming around Caldera or Rebirth Island.
In addition to this limited-time Vanguard event, all its Bundles are also available in Warzone Pacific, making it possible to dash through the sand as a Krampus lookalike or in that festive holiday sweater. (Note: There are some Vanguard-only items within these Bundles that cannot be accessed in Warzone Pacific; see the individual Bundles for details).
You can check out the new cosmetics set to become available right here.
Once Raven Software releases the official patch notes, we’ll be sure to update the post.

Once the patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. If you haven’t played the game yet, go read our review of it here, and see why it’s one heck of a multiplayer game.
Back in October, Ubisoft announced that The Division 2 will be getting its next major update in February 2022. Well, it seems, agents will have to wait a bit longer, as the publisher has announced that The Division 2 February update — and even the Apparel Event that was supposed to go live with Title Update 14 — has been delayed at a later, unspecified date!
Here’s the announcement from Ubisoft about it:
The Division 2 February Update Delay Confirmation:
That’s definitely a bummer, and what makes this even worse is, there’s not even a release window given to players. Given how The Division 2 seems to have underperformed, I guess this isn’t really that big of a surprise. That said, let’s hope there’s more to come in The Division 2 next year after this confirmed title update.
Speaking of which, Title Update 14 went live earlier today, and it features some holiday-themed stuff! Go check out the patch notes right here.
It’s that time of the year again, guardians! Bungie has launched the Destiny 2 Dawning 2021 event today, and same as in previous years, expect some holiday rewards, events and more! MP1st is here to help with the Destiny 2 Dawning 2021 schedule, rewards and more all in one place.
The Dawning is a limited-time live event in Destiny 2 which celebrates the winter season and the spirit of giving. The Dawning begins on December 14, 2021, and ends at the weekly reset on January 4, 2022.
During The Dawning, Eva Levante brings her baking supplies and Holiday Oven for all players to use and create holiday gifts that can be given to vendors across the system. To create these gifts, players must defeat various enemies in unique ways to earn materials and use Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.1 to combine them into baked gifts.
Players can expect the first-ever Statis-powered Sword named “Zephyr” to be reward by Eva!
Tess Everis will also have holiday stuff for guardians too! A new universal ornament set for each class will be available in Tess’ store in exchange for Bright Dust or Silver.
Quests and Bounties:
After players create their first holiday gift and speak to Eva, her full inventory will open up where players can obtain bounties, quests, and upgrades.
Dawning Spirit
Players will collect Dawning Spirit through completing bounties, claiming achievements, activating Boons of Friendship, and delivering cookies during the Dawning 2021. Collecting Dawning Spirit will progress Dawning-themed quests and can be exchanged at Eva for Dawning rewards and upgrades.
Upgrades:

Recipes and Materials:
While Eva will bring her Holiday Oven with her, players will have to go out into the world to gather Materials and Essence of Dawning by defeating enemies and completing various activities in Destiny 2. Once players have enough Materials, they can combine them together to create tasty treats like Gjallardoodles and Dark Chocolate Motes. Players can combine Materials by finding Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.1 in their Quests, viewing the Oven’s “Details,” and selecting the Materials they wish to combine.

Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Alan Wake 2 will see the return of two voice actors, along with the confirmation that the title will maintain its third-person perspective.
Taking to Twitter, Game Director Sam Lake confirmed that both Ilkka Villi (voice of Mr. Scratch) and Matthew Porretta (voice of Alan Wake) will be returning to their role in the sequel.
Thank you for being as excited about Alan Wake 2 as we are ❤️🔥🔦. A couple of easy clarifications before we go dark to continue the work. Yes, this is a 3rd person game. Yes, both Ilkka Villi and Matthew Porretta return in the role of Alan Wake. #AlanWake@alanwake@remedygamespic.twitter.com/8UvzXGgKdE
What’s more, while Alan Wake 2 will be more focused on the horror survival side of things this time around, the title will indeed still be in third-person view, rather than something like first-person like so many other survival-based games. Not that this should be to the surprise of anyone, though it is nice to get some clarification on the matter, especially with so many studios changing up their franchise’s as of late (Resident Evil in particular).
In related news, Remedy recently commented on the new M rating for the franchise, stating that it’s “liberating” and won’t compromise on the horror side of things.
“For anything to do with Alan Wake the story is very central — this horror story,” Lake says. “Let’s do Remedy’s take on a survival horror game and focus on story… the horror story is this psychological, layered, deep mystery to dive into. And yes, it’s going to be scary. But it just works really really well with the gameplay.”
Alan Wake 2 is currently set to release sometimes in 2023 for the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

The Bwoking Dead limited-time mode returns during the CRISPRmas event!
Platform-Specific Highlights:
The PlayStation version no longer requires PlayStation Plus to play Super Animal Royale, but if you do have it, you’ll get a PlayStation exclusive cosmetic bundle of items!
We’re also debuting a new Xbox Game Pass Perks bundle for Ultimate subscribers!
The Nintendo Switch version of the Season 2 Starter Pack DLC arrives December 20th.
Stadia support for cross-play parties is coming soon.
We’ve also included a bunch of nice quality of life updates, game balancing and more, so read on below for all the details!
Season 2
Season 2 is here, and the formerly-pacifist beavers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep Super Animal Royale humming have finally joined the fight! To see why the beavers finally joined the fray, check out the latest episode of Super Animal Royale Tonight above.
Grab the new Busy Busy Pass for 49 tiers of unlockable items:
Construction-themed items inspired by Beaver Construction.
Steampunk items inspired by prolific S.A.W. inventor, and noted “busy busy” guy, Thomas Sledison.
Items to turn you into a busy bee.
And lots more, including S.A.W. Tickets and Super Serum.
Season 2 will last roughly three months and during that time you can unlock the pass for the discounted price of 550 S.A.W. Tickets. After that, it’ll move into the Archive for 750 tickets. As always, once you own it, you can take as long as you need to complete it, and when you own any Animal Pass from the archive you can make progress on up to two at once (including the current season’s pass) for double the earning. No more FOMO or rushing to complete passes!
Season 1 has now moved into the Archive, but if you already own it you can activate it on your second track to keep working on it, or purchase it if you missed it! We also made some improvements to controller navigation of the Animal Pass screen, and made button selection styles clearer.
Season 2 Starter Pack DLC
A new season also means a new Starter Pack DLC! Grab it while it’s available for the next ~3 months for a great deal on S.A.W. Tickets and exclusive cosmetic items and animal breed:
Super Moon Bear
Warrior Monk Outfit
Warrior Monk Sword
600 S.A.W. Tickets (500 + 100 bonus tickets)
Season 1’s Starter Pack DLC will go away on December 20th, so it’s your last chance to grab it now if you don’t have it yet!
CRISPRmas Event
December 14th to January 4th at 11:59pm PST
It’s CRISPRmas, Super Animals! The time of year when all Super Animals come together to celebrate the miracle of ethically dubious gene editing! And what better way to celebrate the cavalier rewriting of life’s sacred code than collecting the candy canes scattered around the island and redeeming them for 8 new limited-time CRISPRmas cosmetic items:
Snow Shovel
Red Pom Beanie
Ice Sunglasses
Gingerbread Gravestone
Snowflake Silenced Pistol
Festive Lights Umbrella
CRISPRmas Tree Dress
Winter Fur Hat
17 legacy CRISPRmas items also make their return and can be redeemed with candy canes. Make sure to also check out the S.A.W. Shop and Carl’s Cart during the event for additional holiday items.
Two new festive Super Animal breeds are also available in the Research Lab:
Super Arctic Fox
Super Reindeer
Note: The older versions of these breeds are still available and have been renamed Super White Fox and Super Rudolph. As always, the new breeds are permanent additions to the Research Lab, so you don’t need to rush to earn them during the event!
We’ve also added a leaderboard for the top 10 players collecting candy canes, for bragging rights. The leaderboard is hidden by default, but you can see who’s the candy caniest by pressing the white leaderboard button in the top right of the event window. Note that the amount displayed includes the total candy canes earned at the end of each match (not just from collecting them off the ground).
The Bwoking Dead infection mode returns!
The Cluckles outbreak continues: play The Bwoking Dead for the entire 3 week duration of the CRISPRmas event! Round up a squad of friends and try to survive the zombie chicken apocalypse and escape the island on a Giant Eagle. You can check out a full rundown on the mode in our previous patch notes here.
Beaver Construction HQ
Home to the island’s renowned (and only) general contracting company, Beaver Construction HQ is a hive of busy busy activity between the royales, and makes a dam good spot for gunfights during them. The sprawling complex is built along the river, like a traditional beaver lodge, with three crossable dams connecting the two main buildings, and a water-entry den that serves as the foreman’s (er…forebeaver’s) office.
Other details worth seeking out include the “Three Busy Beavers” lobby statue depicting the legendary founders of Beaver Construction, the lumber mill that feeds all the company’s projects…and some of their employees, the Emu cart loading dock, the vending machines selling choice cuts of fresh wood, a scale model of the Super Animal Super Stage, and a few stashed Lunar New Year statues taking their twelve-year timeouts.
Super Beavers
The beleaguered Beaver Construction workers who once labored tirelessly to build Super Animal World, and now labor thanklessly to clean it up after every messy battle, are ready to make their own messes. As seen on the latest episode of SAR Tonight, the Super Beavers are finally stepping out from their backstage roles and joining the fray!
To start, there’s three breeds that can be created in the Research Lab starting at Level 40:
Super Beaver
Super Pink Beaver
Super Beever
Squad up With Friends on Any Platform
You can now invite your friends to squad up with you regardless of which platform they’re playing on! Cross-play party invites generate a 4 digit code that your friends can enter to join your party (and there’s also a handy button to copy it to your clipboard to help with sharing it with them).
So whether you and your friends are playing on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, or GeForce Now, you’ll be able to squad up with any combination of platforms. The PlayStation version of SAR also no longer requires PlayStation Plus to play!
We’ve also added the ability for hosts to be able to kick players from the group if necessary, and this applies to both cross-play and same-platform parties.
Gameplay / Quality of Life Updates
Ammo loot no longer glows like other loot to reduce visual clutter.
Improved collisions in the bamboo forest so they’re smoother and have fewer jagged edges to get caught on.
Increased Bandolier carrying capacity: light bullets from 140 to 150, shotgun shells from 35 to 40, big bullets from 100 to 110, sniper ammo from 35 to 40, dart ammo from 40 to 45, and sparrows from 40 to 45.
Dual Pistols initial fixed recoil has been increased from 1/2/3° to 1.5/2.5/4.0°, and random recoil increased from 4° to 4.4°. Dual Pistols perform very well, so this aims to balance them a bit by creating slightly more effort to control them.
Increased Hamsterball audible distance from 160 game units to 185 so you can hear them coming from even further away and get out of the way.
Skunk Bombs now have 40% reduced spawn rate in the Bwoking Dead mode. The maximum carrying capacity for Skunk Bombs in this mode has also been reduced to 3 (or max 4 with Bandolier).
Mole crate icon now displays for 45s, and the minimap icon no longer disappears when someone opens it. We increased its visible duration to 60s last patch and this ended up feeling a bit too long, and the addition of displaying its looted state on the minimap provided enemies too much information of what was happening in the fog of war so we’ve reverted this change.
For private match hosts:
/banana command can now specify the number of bananas, up to 10. (ie “/banana 6”)
/rainoff command to disable rain in a particular match. Note that this doesn’t work while it is already actively raining in-game.
/getpos can now specify a player number as well (ie “/getpos 14” to get position of player 14)
Removed /getposition variant of /getpos since it’s longer and not necessary.
S.A.W. Shop Sales
We previously added bundle sales to the S.A.W. Shop, and we’re continuing to add more of them (watch the S.A.W. Shop the week of December 28th for a new one), but now we’ll also be having sales on individual items! To start, we’re planning on discounting items that you’ll be familiar with and have already rotated through the shop a few times. If you boot up the game when the update arrives you’ll already see some individual item sales and they’ll continue to rotate in and out over the next few weeks!
Be sure to keep an eye on the S.A.W. Shop during the CRISPRmas event too, as we’ll be rotating in new featured items for the holidays each week.
Other Updates & Bug Fixes
Steam users can add the tag -novid in SAR’s Steam launch options to auto-skip logo videos.
Performance optimizations: Spine animations and game loot are now more efficient.
Reduced total number of environment texture atlases to help load times and reduce VRAM usage slightly.
SMOMA art pieces are now loaded individually from the hard-drive at the time of viewing, rather than all at game load, further reducing load time.
Controller Right-Trigger can now open the event shop when pressing it while on the last tab (DLC) of the Shop screen.
News box won’t auto-rotate while your mouse is hovering over it or while your controller is selecting it.
Bwoking Dead mode now warns the player if they’re leaving the match early and will miss out on the end-game rewards.
Improved spawn algorithm for zombies early on in Bwoking Dead matches, which should help eliminate the issue of respawning deep in the gas during the first circle.
Fixed a bug where the emote wheel could get stuck on-screen when boarding the escape eagle in Bwoking Dead.
Fixed a bug where throwing a grenade while dying would leave you unable to melee as a zombie in the Bwoking Dead.
Fixed a bug where loot would sometimes go behind a wall in Pixile Port.
Fixed a bug where the Bow & Sparrow’s pull-back sound was not matching the animation of 0.5s.
Fixed health bars not displaying while spectating the player who killed you.
Fixed a bug where binding a key would only check one conflict (for instance, binding Map to (A) was resetting the Reload binding, but not Mark Map, and now it does both correctly).
Animal Pass preview in the top-left of the main menu no longer shows an incorrect initial state (with the blue baseball cap) before finishing loading.
Fixed a bug where logging out or unlinking an account wouldn’t refresh the animal pass archive pass screen once logged back in.
Fixed controller navigation getting stuck when trying to buy an Archive Animal Pass without enough tickets.
Fix for in-game settings screen’s report button not being navigable by controller.
Fixed bug where binding (B) control with a controller (while in-game) would close the controls menu.
Fixed Coconut Costume being above armor visually.
Fixed incorrect icons for Farmer Outfit and RedShift Outfit.
Improved compression artifacts on Vampire Hunter items from Twitch Drops.
Halloween Tee has been renamed to Howloween Tee.
Added translations for errors with coupon code redemption.
Added several translation fixes.
These were some seriously long patch notes, so if you made it all the way to this point, a winner is you. Please enjoy this trailer, and we’ll see you on the island!

Winter Wonderland will be making a triumphant return with new presents and goodies for ARK survivors. Use the server parameter -ActiveEvent=WinterWonderland to begin the event.
For the duration of Winter Wonderland, we have disabled the world buffs from the Genesis Part 2 Missions on the Official Network: Baby Boon & Maewing Poach. In the past, we’ve adjusted for the impact this event has had on the rates by tweaking the bonuses that we use during the holidays, however those tweaks lead to unfavourable circumstances on maps that aren’t Genesis Part 2, so going forward during breeding events, we’ll be disabling these mission buffs specifically as not to affect the bonuses on other maps.
Fixed some exploits
Fixed some server and crashes
Fixed a bug where the TEK Bow would fire inconsistently

Get ready to check out some pretty neat independent titles made by some passionate developers, as the Nintendo Indie World Showcase is scheduled to air tomorrow.
The show will be featured on the Nintendo YouTube channel, with the Indie World Showcase scheduled for December 15 at 9 am PT and 12 pm ET.

FEATURES
New Biome: Open Seas
The emergence of Jömungandr has changed the seas of Midgard forever! All Worlds are now generated with a far greater balance of water now populated with islands filled with dangerous creatures, rare resources, and valuable treasures.
New Structure: Shipyard
A new structure. A ruined Shipyard can be found on an Ash Beach biome located near the Village. Gather enough resources to rebuild the Shipyard, and you’ll be able to craft Boats from it directly
Boats, Boats, Boats!
Having conquered the Wolf Saga, the Einherjar further reflect on their past lives as Vikings and the old ways. With renewed purpose, they remembered the lost art of sailing these majestic vessels across the seas.
Swimming
That’s right, swim! Not only did the Einherjar recently remember the ancient art of sailing, but the crucial skills necessary to survive in a world with so much water—until they run out of stamina.
New Saga Boss: Jörmungandr
Jörmungandr has risen! The notorious poisonous World Serpent resides in his Lair at the heart of the ocean, and if he is not stopped soon, he will consume all of Midgard in the name of Ragnarök.
New Saga Quest and Saga Quest Selection
With a new Saga Boss introduced, we’ve also introduced a new Saga Quest that will guide you on your journey to defeat Jörmungandr.
Fenrir remains as part of the World, as is the Saga Quest to defeat him. If you’re feeling particularly brave (and fast), you can even attempt to complete both Saga Quests in a single World.
Please note that during Season 2, the Jörmungandr Saga is selected by default but can be changed at the Quest Board at any time.
New Condition: Poisoned
Some of the newly introduced enemy attacks, such as from a Selkie’s claws or Jörmungandr’s spit, are capable of poisoning you. The Poisoned condition will slowly eat away at your HP and Mana if you’re afflicted.
New Armor Perks
Saga 2 debuts the Armor Perks system. Every piece of Armor in Tribes of Midgard now contains an additional passive bonus.
Each Perk is assigned to a particular Armor Set.
You can also mix and match Armor Perks if you’re feeling creative. Multiple pieces with the same Armor Perk will stack the bonus!

Raider: Increase Axe damage per piece equipped.
Feral: Increase Hammer damage per piece equipped.

Armed with their trusty lyres, Fossegrims come bearing one of three magical songs that provide benefits to their allies in a nearby radius.

QoL Changes
Shop V2
We’ve redone the Shop layout and how items, old and new, are made available to players.
Most notably, the Shop categories and their contents have changed:
Firstly, based on your feedback, we’ve separated out the purely Cosmetic Items from items with Gameplay impact, such as Runes, Recipes, Tools and Starter Kits and made these Gameplay items available at all times.
By selecting Weapons, Protections, or Accessories from the Gameplay section, you’ll be able to unlock items from Season 1: Wolf Saga using Golden Horns.
The Essentials section now contains purely Cosmetic items for your Character Customization, such Hair Dye and Portraits and also includes Cosmetics from Season 1: Wolf Saga, all of which can be acquired with Golden Horns.
The Featured items will continue to rotate on a Weekly basis, but we’ve added the ability to select and browse entire themed Sets as ‘Bundles’. You can select the Bundle icon on the Shop menu to view all items associated with that Set and purchase them individually or grouped together as a Bundled unlock.
As always, all Gameplay content is attainable with Golden Horns and Season progression only. In other words, Gameplay items will always require Gameplay to unlock.
Auto-Equip V2
Upon crafting a piece of equipment more powerful than what is currently equipped, the newly crafted item will automatically be equipped instead.
Upon repairing a piece of equipment more powerful than what is currently equipped, the newly repaired item will automatically be equipped instead.
Donate Max
When donating resources to any structure or vendor, we’ve added a ‘Donate Max’ shortcut you can press to instantly deposit all the required Materials and Souls, provided you have them in your Inventory.
Consumable/Construction Drop
Players are now able to drop the number of Consumables or Constructions they want instead of their full stack. Works in the Inventory and War Chest.
Pre-Built Fortified Gates
All game modes now have their Villages come pre-equipped with Level 1 Gates at all entrances. They can still be upgraded to Levels 2 and 3 per normal. This should help alleviate a lot of the pressure of the first few days of exploration as the Village will be able to take care of itself for a little while. Just remember to close the Gates when you leave the Village (hey, it happens to the best of us).
Personal Quests and the Quest Board
All Personal Quests taken from the Quest Board will now skip the introductory step of requiring the Player to interact with the Quest NPC before they can get started on the objectives.
Now, when selecting a Personal Quest from the Quest Board, your tracker will update with the objective right away and you only need to interact with the Quest NPC when turning the Quest in.
Quest Rewards have been reworked to accommodate new content.
Quest progress can be tracked on the Quest Board itself now, instead of disappearing after selecting a Quest
Matchmaking Region Selection
Upon selecting a Matchmaking game, you can now select your choice of Server Region, or stick with Automatic, which will connect you to the fastest result as usual.
War Chest Arrows to Archer Tower
Donating Special Arrows to your Village’s Archer Tower now looks at your Inventory as well as the War Chest, just like Gates.
New and Improved Alerts
Session-wide text Alerts will now be displayed when a player:
Rebuilds a Village Fortification, the Bridge or the Shipyard
Upgrades a Village Station, Fortification or the Shipyard
Clears out all the enemies of a Hideout
Light up a Beacon
Steam/Epic Game Store Invites
With Tribes of Midgard now available on the Epic Games Store, players who link their Steam accounts to Epic Games Store accounts, and vice versa, will be able to send Invites to each other as normal.
Matchmaking on PC includes all PC Players regardless of platform.
Game Over Screen
We’ve updated the Game Over screen at the end of each Session to show some additional statistics:
Golden Horns earned is now displayed
Saga Bosses Slain is now displayed
Seed number of that World Generation is now displayed
Hunter Class Unlock
With the expanded World and addition of islands, we’ve changed the requirement for unlocking the Hunter Class from Activating all Shrines in a World to Activate 15 Shrines in a World to keep the challenge accessible.
Ranger Slow Poke
Ranger’s Slow Poke Blessing has been improved so that the effect can now also be triggered by Bow attacks in addition to standard melee attacks.

WEAPONS AND ATTACHMENTS
Area of Effect guns (such as Launchers and Flamethrowers) now deal half the normal Friendly Fire damage in modes where Friendly Fire is enabled.

CLASS KITS
Fixed an issue where some Perks could unintentionally trigger twice, such as Anesthesiologist.
Once we know more details regarding content after Season 2, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Additionally, The Green Smoke Helmet will be available with this update!
Having heard your feedback, we’ve made some changes to Tricks battles and Free For All game modes.
· Multiplayer divisions will be reduced from 10 to 5.
· As a result, we will be doing a global reset on all players division points to 0 for the start of the Winter Bash (Therefore, all players will start at Division 5).
· We have reduced the number of Free For All playlists to 1 weekly list.
We felt this was the best cause of action as it will provide the following for players
· Skill based matchmaking will be re-activated so players will face off with others of similar skill level.
· The reduced number of divisions should also speed up matchmaking allowing players to find matches quicker.
· We also removed the pop up to expand your match making search to other divisions and will now automatically expand the search after a short time within your current division.
· The single weekly Free For All list will focus the Free For All community in one place which should improve matchmaking time for this as well.

Aside from Atlas’ introduction into the world of SMITE, this patch also brings new skins, gameplay-related adjustments, and of course, something for the holidays too! Read up on the official patch notes below.
SMITE Update 12.02 Patch Notes | SMITE Titan of the Cosmos Patch Notes | SMITE Update 8.12 Patch Notes:
ATLAS: TITAN OF THE COSMOS
BASIC ATTACK
37 + 1.5/Lvl (+20% of your Magical Power)
1.25/1.25/1.25 damage and swing time, hitting in an AoE on the final blow
PASSIVE – THE ASTROLABE
As Atlas deals or takes god damage he accumulates 1.25 Energy in his Astrolabe. Minions provide 1/10th of the Energy. When he reaches 20 Energy his next Basic Attack has 1.5x damage, 1.5s swing time, and deals bonus damage in an area in front of him. Gods hit are Trembled for 2s while minions are stunned. Atlas can store up to 30 Energy.
Empowered Bonus Damage : 8 * Level
UNBURDEN
Atlas throws his Astrolabe to a target location, damaging and slowing enemies where it lands. While deployed, his Basic Attack will cause an explosion at the target area that damages all enemies. This explosion deals 40% damage to Minions and costs 5 Mana to use. After 5s or when he re-fires this ability, the Astrolabe will return to him. Atlas’ second ability changes based on whether his Astrolabe is deployed or held.
Ability : Circle
Damage : 30/65/100/135/170 (+40% of your Magical Power)
Slow : 10/12.5/15/17.5/20%
Slow Duration : 2s
Basic Explosion : 23 + 6 Per Level
Cooldown : 15/14.5/14/13.5/13s
Cost : 65/70/75/80/85 Mana
GRAVITY PULL
Atlas pulls enemies towards his Astrolabe. Enemy gods who are too close get pulled into the Astrolabe. If Atlas is holding the Astrolabe enemies who get pulled into the Astrolabe get held in front of Atlas. After a brief delay, the held targets get launched in the direction Atlas is facing. If Atlas has thrown the Astrolabe, enemies who get pulled into the Astrolabe will get held at the Astrolabe’s location before being launched towards Atlas.
Ability : Cone / Circle
Pull Damage : 50/80/110/140/170 (+35% of your Magical Power)
Launch Damage : 50/80/110/140/170 (+35% of your Magical Power)
Cooldown : 16s
Cost : 50/55/60/65/70 Mana
KINETIC CHARGE
Atlas charges forward. Each allied god he charges near will have their burdens removed, cleansing them of any current slows and increasing their movement speed. When Atlas collides with an enemy god he will release accumulated burdens in an explosion. For every burden accumulated the slow is increased by 25% up to a maximum of 75%.
Ability : Line
Damage : 80/135/190/245/300 (+45% of your Magical Power)
Movement Speed : 25/27.5/30/32.5/35%
Cooldown : 16s
Cost : 60/65/70/75/80 Mana
GAMMA-RAY BURST
Atlas tears the sky asunder and calls forth a Gamma-Ray Burst. Enemies in this area are hit every 0.5s and gain a stack of Radiation. Radiation can stack up to 5/5/6/6/7 times and lowers the enemy’s Protections and Power. After 5s or upon re-fire the Gamma-Ray Burst will focus in power and begin traveling across the battleground. Enemies hit by this focused ray take heavier damage and gain Focused Radiation, lowering Protections and Power equal to 3 stacks of Radiation.

Damage : 25/35/45/55/65 (+10% of your Magical Power)
Protection Reduction : 5%
Power Reduction : 2%

QUALITY OF LIFE
General
Custom Games
Added a new “Duel” mode to custom games which will utilize the specific map rules that Duel has – such as Titan and BDK HP changes
Added a new pick/ban type “All Ban” to match the new Ranked Conquest system
Leaderboards
Fixed various issues with leaderboards:
Leaderboards not loading
Duplicate names being visible
Being unable to properly promote to Grandmaster
There have also been a lot of changes for how many players are visible on the leaderboard at the same time. It will show a more narrow range around your progress, and inactive players will be removed from leaderboards.
There might be other changes to leaderboards in the future
This was completed in the last update and will go live for testing after patch notes on Tuesday 11-23. If there are any unintended consequences the changes might be temporarily reverted and adjusted again for 8.12.
Ranked MMR
Fixed an issue where players would sometimes earn 0 MMR for a win. It will no longer be intended for players to be able to earn 0 MMR for a win, even if the MMR difference is vast the winner will still gain some amount of MMR.
Ranked Conquest All Ban System
Teams will now see what pick they are during the planning phase when they first load in. The text in the top left will read:
Planning Phase for First Pick
Planning Phase for Second Pick
Matchmaking Changes for players under level 30
For Conquest, Arena, and Joust
Players level 1- 4
Will be routed to co-op vs AI bots
Players level 5 – 29
Will be routed to a new into pvp queue that will only be accessible to players of this level
Players level 30 – 160
Will be routed to normal pvp queues
This has 2 primary effects
It will no longer be possible for players 1 – 29 to be put into lobbies with players 30+
The only exception would be if they party with another 30+ player
Having even 1 player at 30+ will bring the entire party into the 30+ queue
New players will now have their MMR effectively reset upon hitting level 30 – as they will be entering a new queue
BUG FIXES
UI
Fixed an issue where If you lock in a god whose voice pack you don’t own, selecting the Voice tab breaks the other tabs
General Gameplay
Fixed an issue where various jungle camps could get stuck by bodyblocking them with pets
Gods

Raijin
Fixed an issue where his combat anim would play while running forward directions
Items
Hide of The Nemean Lion
Fixed an issue where this item was not stacking as intended
BALANCE LIVE WITH THE TITAN OF THE COSMOS UPDATE
Game Modes
SWC Conquest
The Winter Conquest map from 8.10 will have some added flair to it as we prepare for the Smite World Championships
Thor’s Hammer Trophy can be seen by the Pyromancer
SWC Logo is engraved on the Mid Lane Floor
Statues honoring previous world champion god skins are placed around the map
Items
Mage balance can be a difficult subject for everyone to agree on. What’s happening at pro levels vs ranked vs casuals tends to be a pretty different story. At this point in time we have seen Mages as a class take a dip in their overall damage. The boots change had a lot of wide reaching effects, mostly benefitting tanky and bruiser play styles and we have since adjusted every other class except mages. Recently we saw Warrior starter items gain some early power, and before that it was core Assassin items. In this update we are adding a small amount of power to a few mage items that focus on Penetration, as well as the Tier 2’s that support them. This should put us in a good spot for more traditional DPS Mages at worlds
ENCHANTED SPEAR
Increased Magical Power from 40 to 60
SPEAR OF DESOLATION
Increased Magical Power from 110 to 120
SPELL FOCUS
Increased Magical Power from 45 to 55
OBSIDIAN SHARD
Increased Magical Power from 80 to 90
BOOK OF SOULS
Increased Magical Power from 55 to 65
BOOK OF THE DEAD
Decreased the Shield Health on the passive from 30% to 25% of your max mana
EYE OF THE JUNGLE
A few starter items are still unpopular in the current meta, and this tree is one of them. We are increasing the regen while in the jungle as well as the upgrade stats on the upgrade to help this item compete with the other two Jungler Starter items.
Increased HP5 in jungle from 15 to 20
Increased MP5 in jungle from 10 to 15
PROTECTOR OF THE JUNGLE
Increased Attack Speed from 25 to 35%
Gods
TERRA
When Terra got the ability to re-fire Crushing Earth when CC’d or dead, she also got the ability to re-fire it while dashing. This allowed her to re-fire and dash shatter the ability at the same time, effectively detonating it twice. This feature walked the line between “bug” or “emergent mechanic” but after seeing her performance in live matches and SPL over multiple months we have determined that this effect is too strong, and Terra will be forced to choose between the re-fire or the shatter.
CRUSHING EARTH
This ability can now only be re-fired or shattered, not both at the same time
BELLONA
Warriors have seen their fair share of love across the various item and meta buffs, but Bellona has still failed to find her spot in the solo lane. She brings a lot to a team with her utility effects, but she seems to struggle out of the gate in lane. We are increasing the base damage on Scourge to help make sure she can clear lanes successfully, especially against gods who shut down bludgeon
SCOURGE
Increased Damage from 80/115/150/185/220 to 90/130/170/210/250
GANESHA
This peaceful god is ready to get back out on the battleground. Ganesha has a unique form of CC in his channeled silence, and to make sure his peel persists to the intended duration, we are providing him knockback immunity. This should prevent any unexpected interruptions of Ganesha’s meditation.
OHM
Ganesha is now knockback immune while channeling this ability
VAMANA
“We haven’t seen Vamana much lately, and it’s certainly not because of his height. This aggressive solo laner seems to just need too many items to find a perfect build that works for him. He synergizes well with attack speed and move speed, but he needs to stay sufficiently tankly as well. We are making a big change to his passive to help him find all the stats he needs to be successful.”
SLEEPING GIANT
Add a new component to his passive – 10% of Vamana’s Physical Protections is converted to % Attack Speed
“Boots are gone, Ratatoskr could never buy them (they simply would not fit) but he still deserves some compensation for the loss. Rat’s acorns were designed to occupy the boots space in a build, but now that builds don’t have a boots item in them we would like these Acorns to more closely fit the stats of a Tier 3 item. All acorns are seeing some stat increases to help with that, with slightly more stats going to the Acorns that are currently the least successful.”
EVERGREEN ACORN
Increased Physical Power from 25 to 35
THICKBARK ACORN
Increased Physical Power from 25 to 35
BRISTLEBUSH ACORN
Increased Physical Power from 35 to 45
Increased the buff Ratatoskr gains from hitting a god with Dart from 10% Physical Lifesteal and 10% Basic Attack damage to 15% Physical Lifesteal and 15% Basic Attack damage.
THISTLETHORN ACORN
Increased Physical Power from 45 to 50
MERCURY
“The fastest god has gotten even faster. When Mercury uses his “Made Ya Look” ability – he is actually sprinting to a location to hit enemies and then sprinting back. Well now he can do that through walls, for only this ability. Don’t ask us how, but it should be a solid quality of life buff for Mercury to snipe down more targets in the jungle.”
MADE YA LOOK
Can now be fired through walls
NEITH
“Fate has not favored this goddess. She got some buffs earlier in the year that seemed promising and we saw a glimpse of Neith at the competitive level and then she quickly fell off. We have two buffs prepped for her today to attempt to bring her back. Her passive weaves will now last twice as long, allowing Neiths to better lay out deployables for future advantages. We are also giving Unravel an extra damage boost to help her laning and 1v1. ”
BROKEN WEAVE
Increased Weave duration from 1m to 2m
UNRAVEL
Increased Damage from 70/100/130/160/190 to 70/110/150/190/230
JING WEI
“Oh hey, fam! It’s finally time for some Jing Wei buffs. For quite a while this evasive goddess had dodged any buffs because of her ability to return to the pro meta at any given time, especially when the stakes were high. There are other safe hunters that compete with Jing Wei now, so now looked like the perfect time for a buff. Explosive Bolts is getting a damage increase at all ranks to make sure the ability has an impact even when her Crit items aren’t online. We are also taking down a few mana costs to improve her lane phase.”
EXPLOSIVE BOLTS
Increased Damage per shot from 100% of Jing Wei’s Physical Power to 110%.
This includes targets hit by the explosion as well.
Fixed an issue where her ability screen displayed incorrect Basic Attack information when Explosive Bolts was active.
PERSISTENT GUST
Decreased Mana Cost from 70/75/80/85/90 to 60/65/70/75/80
AIR STRIKE
Decreased Mana Cost from 100/110/120/130/140 to 80/90/100/110/120
MEDUSA
“Don’t stare right at her but, some long awaited community requests are finally happening for Medusa. This iconic goddess has a fantastic kit that never quite found its competitive footing. In this update she’s going to be a considerably stronger anti-healing god, as well as having a better lane phase (or possibly jungle?) by making her dash finally able to damage minions!”
ACID SPRAY
Now applies Healing Reduction equal to 50% for 4s.
LACERATE
No longer applied Healing Reduction.
Now damages minions as Medusa travels through them.
