Destiny 2 Ability Changes for Dec. 7 Update Detailed by Bungie

Ahead of the big 30th Anniversary update next month, Bungie, in their latest weekly blog, detailed some of the finer Destiny 2 ability changes coming to the game. Most of these changes are targeted towards PvP, as the side of the game have been descibed by both players and Bungie being slightly more ability-based rather than gun-based. Head down below for a rundown of these changes and see if you’re subclass just got a boost or a nerf.

Destiny 2 Ability Changes:

Flux Grenade 
  • Increased base cooldown from 82 seconds to 182 seconds.
  • Increased attached detonation damage from 150 to 250 (one-shot kill in PvP).
  • Increased damage vs PvE combatants by 15% (on top of base damage increase).
  • Removed projectile tracking.
  • Added a small amount of aim assist.
  • Increased throw speed by 117%.
  • Now sticks to all surfaces.
Firebolt Grenade 
  • Reduced base cooldown from 82 seconds to 64 seconds.
  • Reduced damage per bolt from 90 to 65.
  • Increased damage vs. PvE combatants by 15%.

On the Character screen, you’ll see the actual cooldown time of your abilities as they’re affected by your equipped ability and armor stats.

  • The “Base Cooldown” time is actually the cooldown time at tier 3 of the relevant armor stat (Strength, Discipline, etc.) This is because the system technically penalizes you for tanking your stats below tier 3, in which case your cooldown would be longer than the base. We are looking into updating this to be more intuitive in a future release.
  • Cooldown times for class abilities are not currently displayed due to a technical issue. We plan to fix this in a future release.
One of our design goals this year was to reduce the amount of ability spam in the Crucible and put the focus back on gunplay. To this end, we’ve made ability cooldown times longer on average than they were before. We don’t want the PvE experience to suffer for the sake of PvP balance though, so we’ve tried to compensate where possible. For example, we’ve increased all grenade damage vs. PvE combatants by 15% or more. This should make grenades feel like bigger power moments than they do in today’s game. Melee ability cooldowns haven’t been increased quite as much as grenade cooldowns, and some of the less-aggressive melee attacks have lower cooldowns than before. Class ability cooldowns have also generally increased, but the changes vary depending on which ability is equipped.

In high-stakes game modes like Trials of Osiris or Survival where each life is precious, passive play becomes more common as players sit back and wait for their Supers to close out a tied game. In general, we want the most efficient way to gain Super energy to be actively engaging in combat. That doesn’t mean you need to win every fight, but we want you to try.

To get us closer to that goal we’re making a big change to the system. Super regeneration will still have a passive component scaled by your Intellect stat, but at a significantly reduced rate. On top of your passive regeneration, you will also gain Super energy by dealing and taking damage to or from opponents.

Here are a few key goals for this new system:

  • In PvE, Super uptime should be relatively unchanged from the live game, if not slightly higher.  
  • Everybody should get at least one Super in a 6v6 match that goes to the score or time limit as long as they engage in regular combat. 
  • Supers should be less frequent in 3v3 modes than in the live game, where two Supers per match is a fairly regular occurrence.
  • Primary weapon play should have a noticeable benefit in Super energy regeneration.
  • Different Supers should come online at different times in a given match, and your Super of choice should have an impact on how quickly it regenerates.  

To that end, we’ve separated Supers into cooldown tiers that affect both the passive regeneration rate as well as the damage-based regeneration rate. This tiering was primarily influenced by each Super’s kill potential, where most one-off Supers are unlikely to wipe a team or a room of combatants, but a long-lasting roaming Super can and should have a tradeoff as a result.

Subclass Neutral Game Perks – These perks have had their ability energy regeneration reduced by roughly 50% in PvP. We targeted perks that can either activate out of combat, with a single button press, or those that were returning amounts of ability energy that were significantly out of band.
  • Whisper of Shards (Stasis Fragment)
  • Arc Web (Stormcaller Warlock)
  • Rising Storm (Stormcaller Warlock)
  • Ionic Traces (Stormcaller Warlock)
  • Electrostatic Surge (Stormcaller Warlock)
  • Aftershocks (Striker Titan)
  • Inertia Override (Striker Titan)
  • Benevolent Dawn (Dawnblade Warlock)
  • Practice Makes Perfect (Gunslinger Hunter)
  • Dark Matter (Voidwalker Warlock)
Subclass In-Super Perks – These perks scale down energy returns as you get kills in your Super (i.e., the first kill while in Super returns more Super energy than the third kill). These perks often result in Supers being able to roam the map for much longer than is healthy for the game and mean that a victim can frequently die to an active Super, respawn on another side of the map, and be killed by that same Super again. We’ve rescaled this energy refund decay more aggressively in PvP so that the minimum energy refund is reached roughly twice as quickly. No change has been made to the refund decay against PvE combatants. 
  • Everlasting Fire (Dawnblade Warlock)
  • Trample (Striker Titan)
Exotic Armor – Each Exotic below had a custom tuning pass focused on their ability energy return in PvP:
  • Frost-EE5 – No longer stacks multiplicatively in PvP with other regeneration buffs, is now an additive scalar.
      • No change in PvE.
  • Heart of Inmost Light – Ability energy regeneration scalars reduced by 50% in PvP.
      • Reworked so activating multiple abilities will now reliably result in multiple Empowered stacks. The stacking behavior was previously a bug, but this seemed like a good opportunity to promote it to a feature.
  • Contraverse Hold – Duration of the grenade regeneration buff is no longer random between 1 and 4 seconds and is now a fixed duration of 1.75 seconds. Reduced grenade energy regeneration scalar by 50% in PvP.
      • The previous average duration due to weighting was 1.71 seconds, with a 1 second duration being most common, so this should improve the Exotic’s consistency across the game with a lower return in PvP.
  • Doomfang Pauldrons – Reduced Super energy gain on activation when an opposing player is killed by a Void melee by 50%.
      • No change in PvE.
  • Shinobu’s Vow – Reduced grenade energy gain on hits vs players by 66%.
      • No change in PvE.
  • Crown of Tempests – Grenade, melee, and Super energy regeneration scalar buff duration reduced from 7s to 4s in PvP.
      • No change in PvE.
  • The Stag – Reduced class ability energy refund on shield break by 50% in PvP.
      • No change in PvE.
Armor Mods – In general, we’ve reduced energy returns from these mods by roughly 50% in PvP, depending on the number of copies of the mod you have slotted.

STASIS CRYSTALS 
Stasis crystals do a lot. On top of freezing players when they’re created, they also block line-of-sight, block movement, and act as explosive barrels. It’s all a bit too much for PvP. With this release, Stasis crystals will now slow players instead of freezing them, and they’ll do much less damage to players when they detonate.
As far as PvE is concerned, Stasis crystals will still freeze combatants, and we’ve increased Stasis crystal detonation damage vs PvE combatants. Looking at the numbers, it was almost always better to shoot directly at a combatant instead of at a crystal near a combatant. This change should help crystals better live out their explosive-barrel dreams.
Stasis Crystals 
  • While forming, Stasis crystals now slow nearby players instead of freezing them.
      • They still freeze PvE combatants while forming.
  • Increased slow/freeze radius while forming from 1.75m to 2.6m.
  • Reduced crystal detonation damage vs players by ~55%.
  • Increased crystal detonation damage vs. PvE combatants by ~60%.
  • Increased crystal detonation radius from 6m to 8m.

Hunter

DODGE 
In order to meet our goal of less ability spam in the Crucible, we’re reducing how often Hunters can dodge. Gambler’s Dodge is getting hit the hardest here because it can completely circumvent melee-ability cooldown times. It also completely changes the Hunter’s silhouette in PvP, making it very powerful. In addition, Hunter dodges will no longer break projectile tracking, meaning it’s less of a get-out-of-jail-free card when a tracking rocket or another slow-moving projectile is flying toward you.
Hunter Dodge 
    • No longer breaks projectile tracking.
    • Marksman’s Dodge
        • Tier 10 Mobility cooldown increased from 11s to 14s.
        • Base cooldown unchanged at 29s.
    • Gambler’s Dodge
        • Tier 10 Mobility cooldown increased from 11s to 18s.
        • Base cooldown duration from 29s to 38s.
REVENANT 
You guessed it—the Stasis Crystal changes detailed earlier mean that the Hunter Revenant’s Shatterdive will now almost never kill a full-health Guardian. Shatterdive may still kill if the Hunter is using Whisper of Fissures, Touch of Winter, and the target is in the very center of all six crystals, but that has been incredibly rare in our playtesting.
I think we can all agree that Shatterdive was too powerful—we tried a number of fixes over the past few releases, but the truth is that as long as Stasis crystals froze players and Shatterdive shattered players, it was going to be too good. But it’s not all rainclouds and puddles for Shatterdive Hunters—the increase in Stasis crystal damage vs PvE combatants makes Shatterdive a great choice in PvE. On top of that, we’re increasing Shatterdive damage vs frozen combatants by 100%. Have fun melting frozen monsters.
Shatterdive 
    • Much less lethal vs players due to Stasis crystal changes.
    • Much more lethal vs combatants due to Stasis crystal changes.
    • Increased shatter damage vs frozen PvE combatants by 100%.
Grim Harvest Aspect 
    • Increased fragment slots from 2 to 3
TOP-TREE ARCSTRIDER 
This change to the Combination Blow melee was made possible by our Variable Ability Cooldowns system. Previously, top-tree Arcstriders were basically required to use Gambler’s Dodge with this tree. We hope this change will make this ability viable even if you’re using Marksman’s Dodge.
Combination Blow 
    • Reduced base cooldown duration from 96s to 15s.
BOTTOM-TREE NIGHTSTALKER 
The Vanish in Smoke melee has low damage output but high utility. Our data shows that this subclass tree is struggling in PvP, so we’ve decided to increase how often Pathfinder Hunters can go invisible.
Vanish in Smoke melee 
    • Reduced base cooldown from 96s to 75s.

Titan 

SHOULDER CHARGES 
In our effort to put the emphasis back on gunplay in the Crucible, we’ve decided to reduce the number of abilities that can one-shot a full-health Guardian. As such, the Titan’s three shoulder charges are no longer one-shot abilities in PvP. To balance this out, we’ve made the shoulder charges quicker to activate, easier to hit with, and travel farther. We’ve also increased their damage in PvE. In our experience, they’re still powerful in PvP in combination with short-range weapons and when used as a movement tool. We wanted to curb shoulder charge’s potency now that we’ve tuned down shotguns as their current counter. We’ll be monitoring the data and feedback and adjusting accordingly.
All Shoulder Charges 
    • No longer one-shot players.
    • Sprint activation time reduced from 1.5s to 1.25s.
    • Increased range from 5.5m to 6.8m.
    • Targeting-cone width increased by ~10%.
    • Increased damage vs PvE combatants by 25%.
Seismic Strike (Arc Shoulder Charge) 
    • Reduced AoE damage from 90 to 40.
    • Now blinds enemies in the area on hit.
    • Increased base cooldown from 82s to 90s.
Shield Bash (Void Shoulder Charge) 
    • Reduced AoE damage from 90 to 40.
    • Increased base cooldown from 82s to 90s.
Hammer Strike (Solar Shoulder Charge) 
    • Reduced direct impact damage from 170 to 120.
    • Increased base cooldown from 82s to 90s.
BARRICADE 
Even with the Rally Barricade changes we made in Season of the Lost, using this ability during a firefight is still a risky proposition. We’ve spaced out the cooldowns of the two barricades to make the choice slightly more interesting.
Towering Barricade 
    • Increased base cooldown duration from 37s to 40s.
Rally Barricade 
    • Reduced base cooldown duration from 37s to 32s.
BEHEMOTH 
We agree with the general community feedback that the Behemoth could use some love in PvE. We’re hoping these changes to Diamond Lance make this Aspect a top-tier PvE pick. Shiver Strike is getting a big damage buff during the Glacial Quake Super. The Whisper of Chains fragment buff here is also very spicy and should help the Behemoth’s survivability in pinnacle PvE activities. Whisper of Chains can be used by all Stasis subclasses, but making crystals is kind of the Behemoth’s thing so we’re listing it here.
Diamond Lance 
    • Increased fragment slots from 1 to 3.
    • Now spawns a Diamond Lance upon:
        • Killing a PvE combatant with a Stasis weapon.
        • Killing three players with Stasis weapons in a single life.
        • Killing an enemy with a Stasis ability.
        • Shattering an enemy.
Shiver Strike 
    • Increased Shiver Strike damage while in Glacial Quake by 50%.
Whisper of Chains 
    • Increased damage resistance vs PvE combatants from 25% to 40%.
BOTTOM-TREE STRIKER 
This class is absolutely dominating PvP this Season, so we’re turning it down a notch. The changes we made to Fist of Havoc in Season of the Lost helped top tree as intended, but they also turned bottom tree into a monster. On top of that, the Stasis nerfs and other changes we’ve made over the past few releases created a power vacuum that Striker Bot filled with extreme prejudice. We hope these changes put Striker Bot back into the pack instead of towering high above everything else.
Knockout 
    • Melee lunge range and melee damage bonus now deactivate after a melee kill.
Trample 
    • Super-energy gain from Fist of Havoc light attack now decays to minimum amount over 3 PvP kills (down from 7).
Frontal Assault melee 
    • Increased base cooldown from 82s to 106s.
Fist of Havoc  
    • Heavy-slam radius reduced from 8m to 6m (bottom-tree only).

Warlock 

UNCHARGED MELEE 
Warlocks have been losing slap fights for too long. Yes, up until now, Warlocks haven’t been able to melee back-to-back as quickly as Titans and Hunters. NO MORE! With the 30th Anniversary, Warlocks will be able to melee just as quickly as Titans and Hunters. We’re also removing the 1m range extension Warlocks received to compensate. We still think the idea of each class having unique qualities to their melee is interesting, but we want to do it in a way that won’t cause one class to consistently lose slap fights. Maybe someday in the future.
Uncharged Melee 
    • Reduced melee range from 5.5m to 4.5m (now matches Hunter and Titan).
    • Reduced suppression time after melee (can now melee back-to-back at the same speed as Hunter and Titan).
MIDDLE-TREE VOIDWALKER 
In our effort to do away with one-shot abilities that are frustrating to be hit by, Handheld Supernova is also getting the Shoulder Charge treatment. That’s right—Handheld Supernova will no longer one-shot in PvP. To compensate, it now travels farther and pushes enemies back. We also increased the damage of Handheld Supernova and Nova Warp vs Champion and Boss combatants. We had increased their damage in Season of the Lost, but it felt like they could use even more juice.
Handheld Supernova 
    • Reduced damage vs players.
    • Now deals 150 damage max.
    • Increased damage vs Champions and Bosses by 30%.
    • Increased projectile range from 12m to 14m.
    • Now pushes targets away from the Warlock on detonation.
Nova Warp 
    • Increased damage vs Champions and Bosses by 30%.
SHADEBINDER 
We feel the Shadebinder is in a pretty good place with a couple of exceptions. One—Winter’s Wrath is still the best Super for shutting down other Supers, and it’s not even close. Winter’s Wrath must now freeze and shatter other Supers twice to kill them. As a general rule, roaming Supers shouldn’t be able to one-shot other Supers. Two—the Penumbral Blast melee is too difficult to land against PvE combatants. When we made the ability harder to land in PvP, it had a negative effect on the PvE experience. We’ve increased the proximity-detonation radius against PvE combatants to make it easier to land.
All three Stasis grenades now have different cooldown times, so we made a change to Bleak Watcher to avoid a situation where it was always best to use the grenade with the shortest cooldown time. This results in an overall cooldown increase for Bleak Watcher, which fits its incredibly high-power output.
Winter’s Wrath 
    • Reduced shatter-pulse damage vs enemy Supers.
    • Must now generally freeze and shatter all Supers twice to eliminate.
Penumbral Blast 
    • Increased proximity-detonation radius vs PvE combatants by 100%.
Bleak Watcher 
    • While Bleak Watcher is equipped, all Stasis grenades charge at Glacier Grenade rate.

Marvel’s Avengers Earned Cosmetics Changes Coming in November 30 Update Detailed

Ahead of its big November 30 update, Crystal Dynamics have detailed the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers earned cosmetics changes, from its vendors, patterns, shipments, and more. Head down below to check out these earned cosmetics changes for Marvel’s Avengers, and what players can expect from them.

Marvel’s Avengers Earned Cosmetics Changes:

Cosmetic Vendor

First, we’ve made some updates to the Cosmetic Vendor inventory on the Helicarrier. When you visit Chastity McBryde for the first time after the update, you’ll see that she once again has a full inventory! The top 16 slots are full of various emotes, nameplates and outfits that rotate daily. Make sure to come back each day to see what she has available. Her inventory is a mixture of items that were previously available as well as some new ones that Chastity found lying around, including nameplates and emotes for Black Panther!

We wanted to give users more choice in their Cosmetic Vendor experience, so we are now utilizing the Specialty Items selection to showcase a single set of items each month. During a specific timeframe, a specific set of outfits will rotate each week in the Specialty Items section, including outfits that were previously only available through special promotions and some brand new looks. If you miss one of the outfits one week, it’ll appear again in a following week, allowing you more time to ponder and choose. Keep an eye out for information on the Specialty Item outfits coming to the vendor each week in our weekly blog! We’ll make sure to state what outfits are available for the next few weeks so that you can plan ahead!

Patterns

Patterns will be making their return as well. Patterns that were previously available via random drops now have a chance to drop whenever a Mega Hive gauntlet is completed! You can exchange Patterns at the Fabrications machine in the Helicarrier or in Birnin Zana.

Shipments

Shipments is our brand-new feature for earnable cosmetics in this update. You’ll find them located as a new tab in your character management screen under the consumables tab. Shipments are another way for you to spend your Units to earn cosmetics, resources, and consumables. Each shipment can grant the following item types:

  • Outfits
  • Takedowns
  • Emotes
  • Nameplates
  • Boosters
  • Fragments
  • Upgrade Modules
  • Polychoron

Some items are obviously rarer than others, but each shipment has hundreds of possible items for you to collect. Each shipment costs 500 Units, the same cost as a Nameplate on the Cosmetic Vendor.

Current Stock

When you select the shipment icon in the Shipment UI, you’ll be presented with what is in the current stock.

That specific set of stock will be available until the next daily reset (9AM PT). If you decide you like what you see in the Current Stock and claim it, you will be granted the items listed and a new set of stock will become available for you to review. If you don’t see anything that you are interested in in the Current Stock, you can always wait until the next refresh. You can also preview items in your Current Stock to see them before you claim! If you are interested in all the items that are possible to obtain in the current Shipment, you can select More Info.

On top of listing all the items that are possible to obtain from the Shipment, this portion of the UI will also show you items that you may already have with a white checkmark in the lower right corner of the icon. Any items that you have already collected that are selected in your Current Stock will have a Fragment value that is based off item type and item rarity. In the Current Stock, these items will also be indicated with a white check mark and will let you know the Fragment value you will get in exchange. In the event that there are multiple items that you may already have collected in your Current Stock, the total Fragment amount will be listed at the bottom of the claim UI.

Specialty Item

Each Shipment will have a specialty Item for you to chase. The specialty item can be obtained one of two ways.

  1. There is a small chance to obtain the specialty item each time your current stock refreshes.
  2. After you have claimed 100 Shipments within the refresh timeframe, you will be automatically granted the specialty item.

On the Shipment screen, you’ll see an image of the specialty item as well as some descriptive text. You’ll also be able to see your progress towards earning the guaranteed specialty Item as well. Above that bar, you can see the time left for you to earn the Specialty Item.

You’ll see here that our first Specialty Item is Iron Man’s Wakandan Stealth Outfit. We have some very exciting ones planned for upcoming Shipments, so keep earning those Units! Here’s a better look at the Wakandan Stealth Outfit.

The Chase

Over time, we’ll cycle out the current Shipment and add a new one. Each new Shipment will bring a new specialty Item to earn, new outfits, emotes, nameplates and more. All Shipments have a specific set of “evergreen” items that will be a part of multiple Shipments as well as some that are limited time. The time remaining to earn the Specialty Item appears in the UI above the progress bar.

Free Claims!

Each day, you’ll be able to earn a voucher for a free Shipment claim by completing the Rise and Shine mission chain that we have recently added in addition to the other rewards that the mission chain grants. The voucher expires at the next daily reset, so you’ll need to make sure you use it before then!

After you’ve earned the voucher from the quest, the next time you head into the Shipment tab, the price will be updated to show it has no cost!

Shipments UI

Units

To help players earn Units, we have added Units to some quests and game modes as rewards where there previously were none. We have also increased the number of Units gained from bronze strongboxes from 6 to 10. We will be monitoring Unit earn rates once the update releases and will adjust if needed.

Battlefield 2042 Upcoming Changes and Fixes in Next Update Outlined

While DICE has already released the list of known issues plaguing Battlefield 2042 at launch, the studio did release a patch yesterday that included a bunch of gameplay-related fixes. Not only that, but today, DICE has also listed the Battlefield 2042 upcoming changes and fixes that are planned in the next title update!

Note that this isn’t the complete list, but some major issues that are gameplay-related have been touched upon, so read up, soldier!

Here’s some insight on upcoming changes that we’re looking to make with our next update:

Soldier Revives ⚡

We’re confident that we’ve identified the cause of the issue that was preventing you from always getting off a revive, particularly when a player is in close proximity to nearby geometry.

A fix for this is on the way

Separately we’re closing in on a possible server side fix for players who in rare circumstances find themselves unable to respawn.

If that server side fix doesn’t stick, we already have a further solution lined up for our upcoming update

UAV-1 Interaction 🔘

We temporarily removed this whilst we could evaluate the best way to keep it balanced, and fun.

That work is now complete and we’ll be looking to re-enable this alongside the next update

Missing Loadouts 📦

A rare issue that could sometimes cause a data call to fail on our end now has a fix developed, and is presently in testing.

We’re keen to roll this one out to you all and make sure that you don’t have that frustration of needing to reconnect to a server

Vehicle Balancing 🛺

The LCAA Hovercraft will be re-equipped with lighter armor, lowering its health, and we’re tuning down some of its weaponry

The MD540 Nightbird will have similar tuning done on it’s weaponry too

We’re keeping a close eye on early balance for future changes

It’s been great welcoming you all back onto the Battlefield throughout our Early Access launch

These changes, and more, are presently scheduled for deploy at the end of next week

As you can see from the message above, the patch is planned to be deployed next week. DICE has also shared previously that there is another patch planned for release within 30 days, which means players will get three client-side patches in less than a full month’s cycle.

GTA San Andreas – The Definitive Edition Update 1.02 Fires Out (Update)

Rockstar Games has released the (Grand Theft Auto) GTA San Andreas – The Definitive Edition update 1.02 (PS5 version 1.002), which is part of the GTA Trilogy bundle released earlier this month. This is a patch available on both next-gen and last-gen versions, and is out for all three games of the bundle, which MP1st can confirm.

  • Fixed an issue where the results screen was appearing at the start of Bike School – Jump and Stoppie
  • Fixed an issue with grey pedestrians appearing around the Willowfield and Playa del Seville area
  • Fixed an issue with a pedestrian looking partially translucent in the Just Business cutscene
  • Fixed an issue with the legal text not being displayed correctly
  • Fixed an issue with Enforcer lights not flashing
  • Fixed an issue with players not being able to kill Paul and Maccer before triggering the cutscene for the mission Don Peyote

  • Fixed an issue with the incorrect time being displayed when collecting rings during the BMX or NRG-500 Challenges
  • Fixed an issue with the camera warping during the In the Beginning cutscene
  • Fixed an issue where some character models were not animating during some cutscenes
  • Fixed an issue with the player getting stuck behind the Cluckin’ Bell counter (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)

No word yet on what’s exactly in the title update, but Rockstar Games has announced that they are rolling out technical fixes for all three titles on every platform. Here’s an excerpt from the letter posted by the studio:

Firstly, we want to sincerely apologize to everyone who has encountered issues playing these games.

The Grand Theft Auto series — and the games that make up this iconic trilogy — are as special to us as we know they are to fans around the world. The updated versions of these classic games did not launch in a state that meets our own standards of quality, or the standards our fans have come to expect.

We have ongoing plans to address the technical issues and to improve each game going forward. With each planned update, the games will reach the level of quality that they deserve to be.

A new Title Update is on the way in the coming days for all versions of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition that will address a number of issues. We will update everyone as soon as it is live.

Rockstar Games has released the (Grand Theft Auto) GTA 3 – The Definitive Edition update 1.02 (PS5 version 1.002), which is part of the GTA Trilogy released earlier this month. Update: On the game’s subreddit, here are some of the reported fixes for GTA 3:

The collision near the tunnel in GTA3 is fixed. Rain is still awful and untouched. Instantly unlocked “Bloodstained Hands” trophy in vc upon booting.

Hope they fixed the “Take the Cannoli” trophy bug. Edit: Trophy is now attainable. The Godfather CR can now be reached at 250,000. This is according to dash_GTA on Twitter.

In the meantime, it pains us to mention that we are hearing reports of members of the development teams being harassed on social media. We would kindly ask our community to please maintain a respectful and civil discourse around this release as we work through these issues.

While one of the goals of the Definitive Editions was to allow players to enjoy these games on modern platforms for many years to come, we also understand that some of you would still like to have the previous classic versions available for purchase.

We will be adding the classic PC versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas back to the Rockstar Store shortly as a bundle. Additionally, everyone who has purchased Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PC from the Rockstar Store through June 30, 2022, will receive these classic versions in their Rockstar Games Launcher library at no additional cost. We will update everyone as soon as these are back in the Rockstar Store.

Battlefield 2042 CS:GO Stickers Are a Real Thing, and Here’s a Look

It looks like someone at Valve is a fan of the Battlefield franchise, as there’s a Battlefield 2042 CS:GO sticker capsule available in Global Offensive! There’s a total of 12 designs, which are all available now.

According to DICE, the Battlefield 2042 map Hourglass was pretty much inspired by CS:GO’s most iconic map, de_dust.

As you can see, these are fully licensed BF2042 stickers in CS:GO, which isn’t really that surprising given how much games cross-market these days. For those playing Battlefield 2042 today, don’t forget that there’s a day-one update that got released, that included gameplay-related changes.

Both games are out now, with Battlefield 2042 available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Marvel’s Avengers Upcoming Hero Perk Changes Outlined for Each Hero

In case you didn’t know, Crystal Dynamics isn’t only delivering a new raid and hero (for PS4, PS5 gamers) in Marvel’s Avengers this November 30, but there’s a significant overhaul of some of the game’s core systems too. For those wondering what the Marvel’s Avengers upcoming hero perk changes are, we got you covered!

Discussed by Game Designer Alex Kende in a recent devstream, check out the hero perk changes coming to each hero in Marvel’s Avengers at the end of the month!

Marvel’s Avengers Upcoming Hero Perk Changes:

Ms. Marvel

  • Stormranger’s Regalia and Stormranger’s Adornments
    • Replaced Jarvis with Embiggen Impulse, increasing stun damage while Embiggen’d
  • Marvelous Regalia
    • Replaced generic regen perk with Valorous Spirit, increasing Allies crit damage when affected by Team Spirit.
  • Stormranger’s Coat of Arms, Stormranger’s Crest and Marvelous Body Armor
    • Replaced generic regen perk with Support Empowerment, giving a moderate chance to gain an intrinsic burst when activating Team Spirit.
  • Stormranger’s Body Armor gets further updates, with both other perks being replaced with Embiggen Blessing (increasing crit chance while Embiggened) and Polymorph Reserve, increasing Ms. Marvel’s max intrinsic energy.
  • Marvelous Nega Bands and Marvelous Clasps
    • Replaced Jarvis with Polymorphic Superiority, increasing damage from Morning Star and Palm Strike attacks.

Captain America

  • Helm of the Super Soldier and Safeguard of the Super Soldier
    • Replaced generic regen perk for Brooklyn Brawler Quake, increasing stun damage while BB is active.
    • Replaced Rally cry extender (moving to another set) with Brooklyn Brawler Breaker, increasing BB damage.
  • Rampart of the Nomad
    • Replaced 3rd perk with Eagle’s Cry, increasing Rally Cry duration.
  • Stabilizer of the Super Soldier and Conduit of the Super Soldier
    • Replaced Defender’s Charge and Captain’s Combo (both of these are ok perks, but are better suited for other sets) with Powered Precision, which increases Powered ranged crit chance. Conduit of the Super Soldier now gets Rally Cry Boon, increasing crit chance of all heroes affected by Rally Cry.
  • The Exotic Stabilizer of the Super Soldier will retain Captain’s Combo and we will be looking forward to a new name in the future.

Ironman

  • Superior Mark XV Bastion
    • Replaced Jarvis and health regen while overcharged with Skyguard Reprieve, which grants intrinsic energy on picking up health packs, and Restoration Beam, which makes enemies defeated with your Unibeam (not omega beam) drop health packs.
  • Centurion’s Mark XV Doom Fists and Centurion’s Mark XIII Muon Gloves
    • Replaced weapon rate of fire increase perk (that was not working 100%; we will fix this in the future for another set) with Skyguard Dynamo, which grants bonus intrinsic energy when picking up Heroic orbs.
  • Centurion’s Mark XV R.T. Node and Centurion’s Mark XIII Muon Ray
    • Replaced missile rate of fire increase (which frustratingly didn’t stack with other perks. This will be fixed in the future. It also is still on Superior Mark XIII Muon Ray.) with Overcharge Breaker, increasing further all damage while overcharged.

Thor

  • Armor of Asgard’s Scion
    • Replaced Jarvis and Evade distance increase with Odinforce Recovery, increasing health regen drastically while Odinforce is active, and Warrior’s Fury’s Impulse, increasing all stun damage while Warrior’s Fury is active.
  • Cincture of Asgard’s Scion
    • Replaced Jarvis with Aesir’s Blitz, increasing Unarmed damage by 30%.
  • Girdle of the Thunderer
    • Replaced Odinforce regen perk that wasn’t activating on all attacks with Odin’s Flight, which increases Odinforce regeneration while flying.
  • Hilt of Asgard’s Scion
    • Replaced Odin’s Flight (which got moved) with Eitri’s Breaker, which increases Hammer damage when used for Melee.

Black Widow

  • Natalia’s Cloak and Natalia’s Embrace
    • Replaced Jarvis with Stealth Amplifier, increasing status buildup while invisible.
  • Red Room Uniform and Red Room Corset
    • Replaced evade extension and Dazed Immunity for Stealth Recovery, which drastically increases health regen while invisible, and Leeching Strike, which heals a small portion of max health on attack.
  • Natasha’s Coil and Natasha’s Ribbon
    • Both replace generic Heroic regen for Leeching Strike. Natasha’s Coil replaces the third regen perk for Arsenal Blessing, increasing weapon critical chance.
  • Red Room Grasps
    • Replaced Jarvis with Infiltrator’s Vengeance that gives a blanket chance on defeating any enemy to drop an intrinsic orb.

Rockstar Games Apologizes for GTA The Trilogy, Promises Title Update and Return of Classic Editions for PC

Looks like the folks behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise have heard the complaints from fans, as Rockstar Games ha sapologized for GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and promises a title update and the return of the classic editions for PC to its digital store.

In a post made on their official website, Rockstar addressed the feedback they’ve heard from the GTA community — specifically the numerous bugs and glitches that The Definitive Edition had that caused numerous problems for those who bought the game. To make up for their faults and fix things, the company has promised that a new title update will be arriving soon for all versions of the game released on PC and consoles.

Additionally, Rockstar also announced that they will be adding the classic editions of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas back to the Rockstar Store soon.

We will be adding the classic PC versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas back to the Rockstar Store shortly as a bundle. Additionally, everyone who has purchased Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PC from the Rockstar Store through June 30, 2022, will receive these classic versions in their Rockstar Games Launcher library at no additional cost. We will update everyone as soon as these are back in the Rockstar Store.

Reputation System, Trials Engrams, and Adept Farming

Win individual rounds within each match to gain trials reputation.The amount of reputation you gain increases with each round you’ve won on your card. Earn enough reputation, and you’ll be able to claim a Trials Engram from Saint-14! This engram can be focused into any currently available trials loot you have previously obtained, or it can be taken to Master Rahool for a random Trials drop. Your reputation increases after every match completion, based on the amount of round-wins on your card, regardless of the result of that match itself (win or lose, 0-5 or 5-4).

Once you have gone flawless, keep playing! Every win on your still-flawless card will give you a chance at bonus, additional post-match drops of the Adept weapon for that week. Once you lose a game, you will no longer get these adept drops. However, still winning games at 7 wins even on a non-flawless can can drop bonus trials engrams, prisms, and even ascendant shards.

When you’re done, you can cash in your 7-win passage for one additional adept drop, granted you have gone flawless that week. This resets your card so you can start anew.

Just yesterday, the developers released the long-awaited Quality of Life patch 2 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. This huge patch includes Quality of Life Improvements, Bug Fixes, and more. Check out the list of QoL improvements now available in Hell Let Loose.

  • Changed map rotation on all servers to be randomised
  • Optimisation to significantly improve loading times
  • Optimisation to improve matchmaking times
  • Optimisation to reduce the amount of in-game stuttering through improved streaming speeds
  • Optimisation to improve overall visual quality of the game
  • Matchmaking optimisation to improve ping times and network stability through improved region selection and packet loss consideration

Madden 22 Update 1.009 Released This November 19

EA Tiburon has released the Madden 22 update 1.009 patch for both last-gen and next-gen platforms today, November 19! This is an unannounced title update, and is the second title update this month, with the first one including a host of gameplay-related changes. Curious what’s new? Read on.

Unfortunately, the developers have not released a changelog at all for today. However, they did release a player ratings update yesterday, which we included below:

Week 10: Who’s Up

CeeDee Lamb | WR | Dallas Cowboys 

CeeDee Lamb helped propel his team to a win on Sunday with a two-touchdown game against the Falcons. Lamb secured six receptions on seven targets for 94 yards and two scores. In his last five games, Lamb has posted two 100-plus yard outings with five total touchdowns. The Madden Ratings Adjustor team is boosting Lamb’s OVR this week as a result.

Jonathan Taylor | HB | Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor averaged an impressive 5.5 yards per carry on his 21 attempts for 116 yards and a touchdown against the Jaguars on Sunday. Taylor has been a dominant force this season out of the Colts backfield. He’s scored in every game dating back to Week 4 and has five 100-plus yard games in that span. He’s getting an OVR boost ahead of Week 11, putting him at a strong 88 OVR.

Najee Harris | HB | Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers rookie running back handled 30 touches against the Lions on Sunday. He racked up 105 rush yards and 28 receiving yards in the game, and while he didn’t find the end zone, his versatility was on display. As a result of his strong performance, the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is bumping Harris’ OVR ahead of Week 11 to an 82 OVR. Not bad for a rookie.

Week 10: Who’s Down

Lamar Jackson | QB | Baltimore Ravens

It was an off night for Lamar Jackson in a loss against the Dolphins on Thursday. He went 26-43 passing with 238 yards, one touchdown and one pick, and added 39 rush yards on nine carries. Overall, Jackson is having a good season statistically, but this speedbump will result in his overall rating dropping slightly ahead of Week 11.

Matthew Stafford | QB | Los Angeles Rams

After a blistering first half, Matthew Stafford struggled for the second straight week in a loss to the 49ers. He threw for 243 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, putting his TD:INT ratio over the last two games at 2:4. As a result, the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is bumping Staffords OVR rating down for the second week in a row as the Rams head into a Week 11 bye.

Battlefield 2042 DM7 Gun Guide

Enjoying Battlefield 2042 so far? If so, we have quite a few guides up that may help you enjoy it all the more. In this latest one, we take a look at the DM7, one of the DMRs (designated marksman rifles) in Battlefield 2042, and how it stacks against other weapons in the same class.

Battlefield 2042 DM7 Gun Guide:

1. DAMAGE & FIRE RATE

Base = 35 ~ 26

Headshots = 66.5 ~ 49.4

Fire rate = 300 RPM

The Fire Power stat isn’t a damage of a weapon!

2. BTK (bullets to kill)

One Armor Plate adds 20 Health to an Infantry, giving you 120 Health in total.

Compared to the damage profile for other DMRs, DM7 isn’t impressive at all.

Its headshot efficiency isn’t that good either.

3. Range

75m

The range on DM7 is longer than that on an AR or an LMG, of course. But I feel like it’s still too short, considering it’s meant to be used for a mid to long range combat.

On the contrast, the range on SVK is extremly long that I couldn’t even measure it on the portal map I was testing on.

4. TTK (time to kill)

TTK on this gun is so high that you basically have to pray that your opponent in a shoot-off will miss shots even when you’re being perfectly accurate, or you’re going to lose every time.

However, as you are all aware, a majority of weapons in the game currently have an awful spread radius. This might make DM7 a bit more viable.

5. Recoil

The recoil on DM7 is okay, but horizontally might be a problem beyond a certain distance.

One thing to keep in mind is that a DMR gets extremely inaccurate when firing while moving. Make sure you’re standing still when firing this gun.

6. Attachments
  • Silencer – The silencer doesn’t actually reduce DM7’s range. It does, however, reduce its damage by 10%. It increases the overall BTK by 1, making the TTK significantly slower.
  • High Power Ammunition – With this attachment, the range on DM7 extends up to more than 300m, just like SVK’s, which wasn’t really possible to measure on the portal map I was testing on. However, with a slower fire rate, the TTK on the DM7 gets painfully long. While the range does go up a good chunk, where this gun already suffers from TTK problems, I highly suggest you avoid this attachment.
  • Close Combat Ammunition – This ammunition reduces the range from 75m to 40m. Usually this gun only has 2 damage radiuses, but this ammo adds one more at 81m. Beyond that, the damage falls down to 22. In return for the lower range, it gets the same TTK as SVK. Is it good? Well, kind of depends on your play style. If you enjoy sticking with your squad mates up on the front like, playing a bit aggressively, then this ammunition is a good choice. However, if you would rather staying behind and supporting allies from a distance, avoid it. SVK is just better at that style of gameplay anyways, though.
  • Extended Barrel – It reduces the fire rate by a lot, making the already slow TTK way too slow. The benefit it provides is too small. You want to avoid this attachment under all circumstances.
7. Recommended Build
  • An optic of your choice
  • Standard Issue Ammunition / Close Combat Ammunition
  • Grenade Launcher / +Hipfire Accuracy / Factory Mounts
  • + Horizontal Recoil Control / Factory Barrel

Some might think that the grenade launcher is a weird recommendation.

However, compared to SVK, the strength DM7 is its bigger magazine. That allows a player to play more aggressively and is more versatile. This gun isn’t so much about staying back. To take advantage of the gun’s strengths you need to be on the frontlines with your teammates. I was thinking, “How can I maximize that playstyle for this gun?” The grenade launcher is a good choice for that. Especially the smoke grenade launcher.

The laser sight has helped me personally in some situation. If you don’t need it, you can just leave the factory mount slot empty.

PSN Down Reports Surfacing This November 19, Affects PS Plus & More

Some PlayStation gamers are reporting (PlayStation Network) PSN down comments over on the game’s subreddit. It looks like some players aren’t able to log in or play online multiplayer, though it’s not known currently which regions are affected. Based on a few commenters, PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) is showing up as inactive, even if their membership isn’t set to lapse just yet.

Currently, the official Ask PlayStation Twitter account has not acknowledged the situation, and the official PSN status page has no mention of any outage, either. However, over on downdetector, you can clearly see the spike in outages reported, which means this is affecting quite a number of people.

We’re keeping an eye out for this one, and will update the post if we have anything tangible to share. In the meantime, go share whether PS Plus and PSN is working for you, and where you’re located, so other gamers will have an idea.

Splitgate Update 1.13 Warps in for November Update Today Nov. 19

1047 Games has released the Splitgate update 1.13 patch this November 19, and this is for the game’s big November update! Players can expect new seasonal challenges, rewards, content and gameplay tweaks. This title update has been rolled out during the game’s maintenance period, which will last for about an hour.

Splitgate Update 1.13 Patch Notes | Splitgate November Update Patch Notes:

No official patch notes have been revealed yet, as the devs want the new stuff to be a surprise! That said, there’s an acknowledgement of the patch, which is embedded below.

Servers will be taken offline one hour from now and will be back online up to one hour after that. If you are playing a game at this time, you will be kicked without warning.

This will be for our mid-November update! We think you’re gunna love it…

In addition to that, Season 0 Challenges Reward has been revealed, as well:

Black Desert Online Update 2.08 Released for More Crash Fixes This November 19

Pearl Abyss has released the Black Desert Online update 2.08 patch this November 19, and this is to help mitigate crashing issues with the game. This is the same kind of patch that we got yesterday, but this one is more specific. Check out the patch notes below.

Black Desert Online Update 2.08 Patch Notes:

Adventurers,

A minor patch has been released that is a step in addressing the crash issues and help optimize the game play environment.

● An issue where the game crashes when using the ‘Memory Optimizer’ through Ring Menu while there are fully unloaded effects around the character.

If you are currently connected to Black Desert, you will need to restart your game in order to download the update.

For adventurers already in-game, you will need to turn off the game and check for updates on your console.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the issues recently affecting the game, and will continue to improve the stability of the service.
