Dying Light Update 1.38 Crawls Out for August 17 (Update)

Techland has released the Dying Light update 1.38 patch this August 17 (Enhanced Edition update version 1.31), and it seems to be a rather hefty download.

Dying Light Update 1.38 Patch Notes | Dying Light Enhanced Edition Update 1.31 Patch Notes:

Update: Here’s what the PS4’s update history says about today’s patch:

  • Added new weapons and blueprints
  • New type of live event added\
  • Update DLC Section
  • Minor bug fixes

Once Techland releases the full changelog, we’ll update the post.

Techland has not acknowledged the patch just yet, and as such, there are no notes. However, there is one change we can confirm!

According to Reddit user Cringeboi1218, the giant banner outside the tower has changed:

I know what it is the giant banner outside the tower changed to “are you dying 2 know more? It could be hinting for episode 3

However, given how big the patch is, there’s more to this than just a banner change. We’ve reached out to Techland about today’s patch, and will update if we hear anything back (a statement or the actual patch notes).

Don’t forget to check out our exclusive interview with Techland regarding Dying Light 2.

Report: Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Tactical Upgrades and More Details Surface via Datamining

While DICE has not revealed anything about Battlefield 2042 Hazard Mode just yet, it looks like info from the mode have surfaced, and it’s via datamining!

Over on Twitter, reliable Battlefield dataminer temporyal has posted a ton of info from the mode, and these include the Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Tactical Upgrades, gameplay details, and more! Note that these are all from datamined info, and as such, are not confirmed in the game.

For an easier read, we’ve posted temporyal’s tweets in text form.

Per temporyal:

Here is a list of twelve Tactical Upgrades for your soldiers in #Battlefield Hazard Zone. More ammo or extra respawn? Additional storage or faster healing?

Keep in mind that this is all work in progress and some things might never see the light of day.

Hazard Zone seems to be indeed a mix between Escape from Tarkov & Hunt Showdown.

The “Orbital” map in #Battlefield 2042 has built-in support for this game mode. Other known locations can’t be verified without additional data. No sign of a Hazard Zone exclusive map available.

Again, I want to reiterate that these are from datamined info, and nothing has been confirmed so far. Given gamescom is but a week away, I suspect DICE will be diving into Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Mode then. Once we know more concrete details, we’ll let our readers know.

The Last of Us Part 2 Unearthed Assets Hint at Battle Royale

Could fans of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us 2 be getting a battle royale mode soon? New The Last of Us Part 2 unearthed assets hint at an unused Battle Royale map — which would add even more replay value to the game.

Here’s a video showing these unearthed multiplayer assets in action — from the Battle Royale map to items that could have been used in the mode!

While these assets show a lot of promising stuff and give fans hope that a new Factions multiplayer mode may be on the way, nothing official has been announced and these are just files found within the existing build of The Last of Us Part 2. In fact, many of the locations will be familiar to fans who have played the game — from the music center at Jackson to the boat house and Port 66 near where Ellie tracks down Abby and her friends. Of course these obviously are locations in the game that players visit in the story, and reusing these areas only makes sense when developing areas for a Battle Royale style multiplayer mode.

You can check out the unearthed map as well as some screens of the locations below.

Speaking of multiplayer stuff, Naughty Dog opened up a position for a Multiplayer Economy Designer and you can read about that here.

Same with every datamined info, treat this with a grain of salt. There’s a chance that this was something in development before that got scrapped, or maybe something that the devs are working on right now. While the battle royale formula has been done to death, one based on The Last of Us universe is kind of intriguing, no?

The Last of Us Part 2 is available now for PS4 and PS5. You can check our review of the game right here, and see why it’s one of the PS4’s best games of all-time.

Godfall Update 1.02 Sneaks Out This August 16

Counterplay Games has released the Godfall update 1.02 patch this August 16. and this is just for the recently released PS4 version. Those on PS5, there doesn’t seem to be a title update for that game’s version.

Godfall Update 1.02 Patch Notes:

As one might expect, this is purely for fixes! No official changelog has been released, but Counterplay Games Community Manager ThanatosNoa shared the following on Reddit:

It was just a stability & performance patch (mostly for a telemetry issue).

While  the Fire & Darkness expansion released last week on both PS4, and PS5 is a paid content drop, it also came with the Lightbringer update which has the following stuff available for everyone (read: free):

Fight back the Darkness in Lightbringer

An all-consuming darkness threatens to spread throughout Aperion and choke the world of all light…

Lightbringer is a new game mode for level 50 players to take on new challenges and collect a new type of loot – Cursed Items – which can only be found in Lightbringer missions.

In Lightbringer the Earth, Water, Air, and Fire Realms have been corrupted by the Heart of Darkness. In this mode players will:

  • Explore the Darkness to defeat corrupted enemies and locate Dark Tears, manifestations of the Heart of Darkness in the realm that must be destroyed to release the Sanctum’s Light that has been sealed away within.
  • Escort the Sanctum’s Light back to the Amplifier, a powerful weapon in the fight against the Darkness.
  • Eliminate the Heart of Darkness in an epic final battle!

Note – Fire Realm Content can only be accessed by the player if they own the Fire & Darkness expansion.

You can read more about that here.

  • icon_iwi_gadget_supplybag
  • icon_iwi_gadget_personalshield
  • icon_iwi_gadget_eidos
  • icon_iwi_gadget_autoturret

Renowned Battlefield dataminer temporyal also commented on the leaked Specialist name for Irish, and how it’s the “Fortification System” — which is something Battlefield V should be familiar with.

Speaking of temporyal, the dataminer has also uncovered a slew of weapons in Battlefield 2042! Here’s what he posted:

Here is a list of 22 weapons based on analyzing client data in #Battlefield 2042. A few unseen examples:

  • MGA SAW K
  • TTS Xceed
  • Crye Six12
  • Cobra R9 Crossbrow

The actual ingame designations will be more futuristic. Details on sidearms & melee weapons might follow…

Same as with every leaked and datamined info, treat this one with a bag of salt. That said, these all look plausible content, so we would be surprised if they aren’t in the final version of the game.

Thanks, jd0255, temporyal!

COD Warzone Update Today August 16 Rolled Out for Weapon Adjustments & More

Raven Software has released a new Call of Duty Warzone update today, August 16, and this is a server-side patch, so there’s no download needed. This patch includes weapon adjustment changes, and bug fixes.

COD Warzone Update Today August 16 Patch Notes | COD Warzone August 16 Update Patch Notes:

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue allowing multiple Squads to enter the same Red Door.
    • This addresses other related issues such as dying to Gas in the Red Door hallway.
  • Fixed an issue where Battle Pass Tiers were not unlocked correctly when the Battle Pass or the Battle Pass Bundle were received as a gift.
  • Fixed an issue with the PPSh-41 (BOCW) where the KGB Eliminator and GRU Suppressor Attachment icons were appearing as white boxes.

Weapons:

We are generally pleased with the state of balance and we do not think anything needs to be immediately addressed. However, we do feel there are some outliers in the Assault Rifle category that have been top tier long enough that it is now appropriate to reduce their power level to give other Weapons some time in the spotlight.  Those changes will be coming very soon.

Assault Rifles

  • AS VAL (MW)
    • Maximum Damage decreased from 30 to 27

The AS VAL (MW), following our balance overhaul, retained one of the fastest, easily achieved TTKs in the game. While its magazine capacity does hold it back, its TTK potential has remained well outside of the range we have been targeting.

Submachine Guns

  • Fennec (MW)
    • Bullet Velocity increased by 13.4%

The Fennec (MW) has struggled to gain footing due to some glaring weaknesses. This change will make the Fennec (MW) viable at slightly further distances.

  • Submachine Gun Charlie (MW)
    • Maximum Damage decreased from 34 to 31
    • Maximum Damage Range decreased by 5.4%
    • Upper Torso Damage Multiplier increased from 1 to 1.1

This change is intended to place some of the power of the Submachine Gun Charlie (MW) behind a mechanical requirement – making it a little less forgiving.

  • OTs 9 (BOCW)
    • ADS Weapon Sway decreased

When making large, sweeping motions while aiming down sights with the OTs 9 (BOCW), players could find most of their front iron sights obstructed by the rear iron sights. This type of sightline obstruction can be frustrating when attempting to effectively track enemies.

Handguns

  • AMP 63 (BOCW)
    • Maximum Damage decreased from 33 to 31
    • Mid Damage now 28
    • Minimum Damage decreased from 28 to 23
  • M19 (MW)
    • This change only applies while using Akimbo
      • Maximum Damage decreased from 33 to 29
      • Mid Damage decreased from 28 to 25
      • Minimum Damage decreased from 23 to 20
  • Sykov (MW)
    • This change only applies while using the Sorokin 140mm Auto
      • Maximum Damage decreased from 27 to 24
      • Mid Damage decreased from 23 to 20
      • Minimum Damage decreased from 19 to 17

Handguns were fortunate enough to evade the initial balance overhaul. These changes aim to place some of the most powerful Secondary Weapons at a power level that is more in line with other Weapons of their class.

In other Call of Duty news, the reveal for Call of Duty Vanguard — this year’s Call of Duty game — is apparently this August 19 according to the PlayStation Store.

Street Fighter 5 Update 3.09 Kicks Out for SFV Summer Update (Update)

Capcom has released the Street Fighter 5 update 3.09 patch, and this is the big Street Fighter V Summer Update that brings new characters, a new stage and more into the fighting game! Note that those who want to play as new fighters Oro and Akira, you’ll need to own the Season Pass for the game, or you’ll need to have at least 100,000 Fight Money for each fighter, or $6 for each.

(SF5) Street Fighter 5 Update 3.09 Patch Notes | (SFV) Street Fighter V Update 3.09 Patch Notes | Street Fighter V Summer Update Patch Notes:

Size: 30GB (PC)

Update: Added the fighter balance changes per Capcom (via EventHubs):

General

Combo Counts

The specifics of the adjustments made to combo counts are detailed below.

• Combo Count Start Value:
The numerical value used to indicate when an air combo starts from a particular move.
The smaller a move’s combo start value is, the easier it is for that move to begin an air combo, and vice-versa.

• Combo Count Gain:
A numerical value that increases when a move is incorporated into an air combo.
The smaller the combo count gain is, the easier it is to enter an air combo, and vice-versa.

• Combo Count Limit:
A numerical value used to determine up to which point a move can land in an air combo.
The larger the combo count limit a move has, the easier that move can be incorporated into a combo.

Changes to V-Shift

Altered V-Shift to also activate after forward/backward + MK + HP.

V-Shift is a powerful defensive mechanic that was first introduced in Street Fighter V.

We initially had concerns that its introduction would significantly impact regular tactics when used in conjunction with blocking and retreating, which resulted in the decision to limit V-Shift to neutral commands.

However, in certain cases just before an attack hit it, the specific timing only allowed for the use of block. This made it impossible to activate V-Shift — even if seemingly input correctly, causing both V-Shift and block to fail.

This fact the issue stemmed from incompatibility with the specifications mentioned above ― rather than inaccurate input ― made V-Shift more difficult to utilize than intended.

After some deliberation, we’ve decided to remedy this by allowing V-Shift to be used during forward and backward movement to improve its use in battle.

We’ve additionally determined that defense would be too powerful if V-Shift could be activated from crouching guard, so V-Shift still can not be activated during a downward input.

Other

Made various other minor fixes and improvements.

Abigail

Abigail’s knockback hurtbox was located below his character model, so attempts to land a hit on his character model would fail.

His character model have been moved downward accordingly to reduce the distance between his hurtbox and his positioning.

Only the graphics have been altered; no changes have been made to its hurtbox location or size.

• Mid-Air Knockbacks Lowered the positioning of the character model during mid-air knockbacks. (Hurtboxes remain the same; only visuals have been changed.)

Cammy

• Standing LP/Crouching LP/Crouching LK Fixed a bug where Delta Ambush and Delta Step couldn’t be canceled into when rapid canceling.

Chun-Li

• Crouching LP Fixed a phenomenon where Crouching LP was unable to cancel into VTriggers when hit or blocked on the 3rd frame.

Dan

The enhanced version of Gadoken has had its combo count on hit adjusted, allowing for easier follow-ups.

When Hisshou Buraiken hit at a certain point on screen, the animation would start from an unnatural position. To remedy this, we have fixed the position where the animation begins when the move hits.

• Gadoken (Enhanced version)
1) Lowered combo-count start value.
2) Lowered combo count gain.

• Hisshou Buraiken (CA) On hit, its animation now starts around the center of the stage.

Guile

• Standing Guard Fixed an issue where standing guard’s hurtbox was the same size as crouching guard’s hurtbox when used against certain attacks.

Kage

When incorporating Sekieiken into a combo at the edge of the screen while V-Trigger I is activated, Sekieiken would go over the opponent and miss, depending on the opponent’s altitude or which move they had just been hit by.

To make it easier to land a hit in this situation, we have changed the weighted collision detection before the attack.

• [V-Trigger I] Sekieiken (VSII) Expanded the weighted collision detection downward before the hitbox is generated, reducing the occurrence of attacks failing when incorporated into combos at the edge of the screen.

Ken

• Standing LP/Crouching LP Fixed a phenomenon where Standing/Crouching LP were unable to cancel into Special Moves or V-Triggers when hit or blocked from the 2nd frame onward.

• Crouching HP Fixed a phenomenon where Crouching HP did not cause longer hit stun when landed as a counter hit from the 2nd frame onward.

Laura

• [Normal/V-Trigger I] Inazuma Spin Hold (CA) Fixed an issue where the activating kick button did not respond to being released.

Lucia

• Crouching Guard Fixed an issue where crouching guard’s weighted collision detection was expanded forward when used against certain attacks.

Nash

• Crouching LP (Rapid cancel version) Fixed a phenomenon where Crouching LP was unable to cancel into Special Moves or V-Triggers when hit or blocked on the 3rd frame.

R. Mika

• [V-Trigger I] Nadeshiko (Above/Front/Behind)/[VTrigger II] Steel Chair/Fightin’ Dirty Fixed a problem where Nadeshiko’s overhead and crouching attacks could be blocked by standing and crouching guards.

Rose

We noted that Rose’s techniques had become difficult to handle, and have taken steps to rectify this.

Standing MP is a standard offensive starting point, but due to the short reach of any subsequent moves, it was quite tricky to find a moment to use it effectively.

We’ve increased its frame advantage, and Crouching MK’s long reach can now be worked into combos, making it easier to continue attacking when blocked.

Although we’ve slightly increased hitback to prevent excessive combos, pushback has not been changed, which allows for the same feel as before.

A delayed Soul Punish has the characteristic of maintaining its hitbox after canceling out opponent projectiles. However. the advantage it grants in this situation is fleeting, offering little reward in comparison to its difficulty.

The hitbox effect generated when canceling out a projectile is now clearly able to form the start of an offensive. Additionally, in certain situations, you can gain enough of a time advantage time to go for an aerial combo.

V-Skill I had random effects and tough activation timing, making it difficult to make the most of. To remedy this, we’ve increased where it can be activated and how it can be utilized.

The concept of V-Skill II is to grant power if you’re able to unleash it, but its frame advantages could deviate, making it difficult to decide when to take advantage of something.

As such, we’ve increased its hitstop to grant more time and reduce the difficulty of connecting combos.

• Standing MP
1) Increased hitback.
2) Changed frame advantage on hit from +6F to +7F.
3) Changed frame advantage on block from +2F to +3F.

• Soul Bind (All strengths, including EX version)
1). Anti-air invincibility from the start of the movement to 1F before startup has been changed from head only to down to the waist.
2) Extended the hitbox upward.
3) Changed the attack and full-body invincibility duration from 6F to 9F.

• L. Soul Bind Added the ability to hit opponents behind Rose.

• EX Soul Bind Can now be canceled with Soul Fortune on hit.

• [Normal/V-Trigger II] Soul Punish
1) Increased damage by 20 when nullifying an active projectile.
2) Hit effect when nullifying an active projectile has been changed from grounded hit stun to a knockdown.

• Soul Fortune (V-Skill I) Can now be canceled into from a special cancel.

• Soul Fortune (Purple and Green) (V-Skill I)
1) Can now hit mid-air opponents.
2) Extended the hitbox forward.
3) Changed hitstop and blockstop from 4F to 6F.
4) Changed frame advantage on hit from -4F to -2F.
5) Changed frame advantage on block from -8F to -6F.
6) Increased combo count limit.

• Soul Satellite (V-Skill II)
1) Can now be canceled into from a special cancel.
2) Changed V-Gauge gain from 30 to 60.
3) Changed hitstop and blockstop from 6F to 10F.

Urien

• Aegis Reflector (V-Trigger I) Fixed an issue where the hitbox would disappear entirely after first moving off screen and then reappearing.

Vega

Sky High Claw is prone to being activated by accident when attempting to hit a mid-air opponent with an upward jump attack.

This move is mainly used in very specific situations: to combat projectiles and surprise attacks. Its command has been changed to PP for the normal version, and PPP for the EX version.

Changes to the V-Reversal, Backslash, were made in accordance to the changes made to Sky High Claw.

Due to the new changes, EX Sky High Claw’s command now overlaps with Backslash’s command, making it extremely difficult to perform forward EX Sky High Claw immediately after guarding.

To solve this problem, we’ve taken measures to prevent Backslash from triggering by requiring upward diagonal input for it to activate.

As a follow-up to V-Trigger II’s Flash Arch – Rossa and Flash Arch – Granate, M Aurora Spin Edge wouldn’t hit certain characters.

To rectify this issue, we’ve reduced the sideways knockback distance of said V-Triggers.

• Sky High Claw Changed the input commands to ↓ (charge) ↑ +PP for the normal version and ↓ (charge) ↑ +PPP for the EX version.

• Backslash (V-Reversal) Can no longer be performed with upward inputs.

• [V-Trigger II] Flash Arch – Rossa/Flash Arch – Granate Reduced knockback distance on hit.

Zeku

• [Young] Standing LP Fixed a bug where various V-Trigger I and V-Trigger II attacks couldn’t be canceled into during rapid cancels.

Capcom has not released the official changelog for fighters (if there’s any) just yet, but here are the confirmed new stuff included in today’s update!

Akira Overview (via Capcom press release):

Making her highly-anticipated Street Fighter debutAkira Kazama began her fighting game career in the Rival Schools series, which began in 1997. In Street Fighter VAkira dons her trademark black biker gear and prides herself on being the strong, silent type. That said, her playstyle speaks volumes when she’s at close range, but she’s also equipped with some long-distance moves that will leave her opponents thinking twice about straying too far. With plenty of new tricks up her biker gloves, Akira has been studying up and will be ready to school anyone who crosses her path.

Oro Overview:

After a long journey away, Oro the wandering hermit from the Street Fighter III series is returning in Street Fighter V ready to share his wit and wisdom with anyone who’s interested. Wearing a modest purple robe and brown rope belt, Oro swaps his pet turtle between his right and left hands as a way to challenge himself and maintain a balanced fighting style. Oro retains many of his original moves and adds a handful of new ones for Street Fighter V, making him an immensely powerful fighter for players to master.

Online Tournament Mode

This free mode will be launching alongside Oro and Akira on August 16 and will be available to all players. Through this mode you’ll be able to create and participate in your own online tournaments with friends, Dojo members, and anyone from SFV community! You’ll be able to tinker with a wider variety of rule sets to make your tournaments as wild or restrictive as you want. We’ll have more information on this mode very soon, including some fun tournaments hosted by us, so stay tuned!

Once we get the official patch notes, we’ll update the post.

Don’t forget, outside of these two, there’s a new fighter entering the ring later this year as well, and he’s Luke! Check out his gameplay trailer right here.

Destiny 2 Exotics Rework, New Iron Banner Items Coming in Season 15

With the new season of Destiny 2 fast approaching, Bungie won’t just be introducing new content, but players can expect some familiar items to change, and that comes in the form of Exotics! Bungie has detailed a ton of the Destiny 2 Exotics rework coming in Season 15, and there’s a lot.

In addition to that, there’s a couple of new items entering the Iron Banner for the new season as well. Bungie has also talked about the Traction mod and how controller players will see a chage for it,

Controller Sensitivity and Traction

The Traction mod felt mandatory for PvP on controller and unnecessary on mouse and keyboard. This felt to be more appropriate as an accessibility option rather than a balance choice. Players (including us) have also long felt that maximum 10 sensitivity wasn’t enough on controller, so we’re making some changes to bring controller input closer to parity with keyboard and mouse.

  • Added a sprint turn speed scalar option (allowed values 0.3 to 0.8).
  • Removed the Traction mod.
  • Added additional controller sensitivity options (1-10 sensitivity is the same as before, 11-20 increases over that).
  • Added an ADS sensitivity modifier (allowed values 0.5 to 1.5).

Destiny 2 Exotics Rework for Season 15:

Super Regenerating Exotics

The first set of changes, coming in Season 15, have to do with Exotics that refund Super energy. As a group, these Exotics tend to outshine other Exotic choices, especially in high difficulty, endgame activities. In some cases, they can trivialize the content or make it feel like the only reasonable option to equip for your build. Most of our changes here aim to standardize how these Exotics work and to place a cap on how much Super uptime they can grant by themselves. To offset these changes, some of the perks were reworked to be more generous with their refund minimums. There’s also a new member of the family!
  • Shards of Galanor: Increased the amount of Super granted for hits, but total Super regain is now capped at 50%.
  • Ursa Furiosa: Capped the amount of Super energy you can regain once your Super ends at 50%.
  • Skull of Dire Ahamkara: Increased the amount of Super refunded per kill, but total Super gain is capped at 50%.
  • Phoenix Protocol: Capped the amount of Super energy you can regain once your Super ends at 50%.
  • Stormdancer’s Brace: Now also refunds up to 50% of your Super energy after your Super ends, based on the number of kills.
  • Geomag Stabilizers: Removed “sprint to top off your Super.”
      • This part of the perk led to a higher uptime in PvP than was healthy and gave Attunement of Control Warlocks an immediately renewable supply of Super energy for paying for mod costs like Special Finisher in PvE.
Retunes and Reworks
The next batch of changes is focused on injecting some more power and excitement into some less popular choices. There are a few Exotics that missed the boat this time that need some extra special attention (like a certain pair of Hunter boots), and a lot more that could benefit from a nudge or two.
Hunter

  • The Bombardiers
      • The bomb now has a secondary effect based on your subclass type:
          • Blind for Arc.
          • Burn for Solar.
          • Slow for Stasis.
          • Suppress for Void.
              • Note: The suppression will not affect a Guardian in Super.
  • Graviton Forfeit
      • Increased the bonus invisibility duration.
      • The melee regeneration speed now increases based on the number of enemies near you.
      • While you are invisible, your Recovery is greatly increased, and your weapons reload more quickly.
  • Lucky Pants
      • Added intrinsic Hand Cannon Holster mod, replaced previous functionality with the following:
      • “When you ready a fully-loaded Hand Cannon that deals Kinetic damage or damage matching your subclass energy type, for a short time each hit against a combatant from that Hand Cannon increases the damage of the next shot.”
          • Note: No, Hawkmoon won’t be able to one-shot a raid boss using these legs. Other Hand Cannons will get a fun edge in combat, though!
      • What is a Hand Cannon Holster mod? A new kind of mod that reloads stowed weapons. More on that below…
Titan

  • Precious Scars
      • Will now also create a burst of healing and bonus Recovery around you whenever you kill an enemy with a weapon whose damage type matches your subclass type.
  • Icefall Mantle
      • Removed the slower class ability recharge scalar.
Warlock

  • Verity’s Brow
      • Changed to trigger when you get a weapon kill that matches your subclass energy type.
      • Increased grenade damage bonus to 20% per stack (up from 10%).
  • The Stag
      • Grants damage reduction to allied Guardians standing in your Rifts.
          • 25% against combatants, 15% against players.
  • Promethium Spur
      • Has additional functionality:
      • While standing in a Rift, Solar weapon kills give you class ability energy.
      • When your class ability energy is full, Solar weapon kills consume that energy and spawn a combination healing/empowering Rift at the target’s location.
Keep your eyes open for other changes to come in the wake of these as well. Our goal for the next few Seasons, especially following the launch of The Witch Queen, is to increase the variety of fun and powerful choices available to players in PvE and PvP alike.
Finders, Scavengers, and Holsters – Oh My!
We are also rolling out some changes to mods that affect the ammo economy. Running double ammo scavenger mods makes it too easy to have 100% uptime with special weapons in both PvP and PvE. In PvP specifically, we believe this is an important factor in how oppressive certain Special weapons feel. Reducing their effectiveness is a step towards addressing this – we’re prepared to revisit this depending on how it plays when it’s out in the wild. We’re also looking to improve Ammo Finder to make it a bit easier to earn Special and Heavy ammo in PvE, while introducing a new type of Leg armor mod that reloads stowed weapons.
  • Ammo Finder
      • Now have an increased chance to spawn ammo on kills with primary weapons, and a further increased chance with Exotic Primaries.
  • Scavenger
      • Multiple copies of Scavenger mods of the same type no longer stack.
  • Holster
      • This is a new type of leg armor mod that will gradually reload stowed weapons of the matching type over time.
          • Multiple copies of Holster mods of the same type will increase the rate ammo is reloaded.
      • The following weapon types will have Holster mods: Auto Rifle, Fusion Rifle, Grenade Launcher (Power), Hand Cannon, Linear Fusion Rifle, Machine Gun, Pulse Rifle, Scout Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, Submachine Gun, Sniper Rifle, and Trace Rifle.
          • Hand Cannon excludes Eriana’s Vow.
          • Rocket Launchers, Breech-loaded Grenade Launchers, and Bows will not have Holster mods, as we didn’t want to affect any weapon that has a magazine size of 1.
Warmind Cells. Interlinked.
To be blunt: these are currently too powerful.
This isn’t a surprise. Even at their introduction, we knew they were very strong. That was the point! At the time these were created, they were only expected to last for about a year, so we could push the envelope on something cool and flavorful knowing that they wouldn’t be around breaking things forever with the force of Rasputin’s explosive wrath. They would have a time to shine, but eventually leave and make room for the next exciting thing. Now that they are able to remain viable in endgame content indefinitely, we feel it’s necessary to bring them down to be more in line with what the rest of the sandbox is capable of. If we didn’t, it would cause ongoing problems for activity design and weapon rewards.
  • Base Warmind Cells
      • Reduced radius of the explosion/effect range of Warmind Cells (10 → 6 meters).
      • Reduced damage of the explosion of Warmind Cells (previously 200-400 → now 50-250).
  • Global Reach
      • Increase the mod cost of Global Reach to 3.
      • Reduce the amount of radius increase (20 → 10 meters).
  • Cellular Suppression
      • Reduce the duration of the suppressing effect when using Cellular Suppression (3 seconds → 2 seconds).
  • Wrath of Rasputin
      • Reduce bonus Solar damage (previously 100-200 → now 25-100).
Elemental Wells
Two Elemental Well mods are getting improvements in order to make them a more competitive choice when compared to other Combat Style mods.
  • Elemental Armaments now has an increased chance to spawn an elemental well based on the tier of the enemy defeated.
  • Font of Might’s base duration has been increased to 10 seconds and increased the damage bonus provided from 10% to 25%.

As for the Iron Banner, the new season will see two new weapons in the Forge’s Pledge Pulse Rifle and Peacebond Sidearm, each available through vendor packages, bounties, match rewards, and the Seasonal Iron Banner quest.

The Forerunner armor set will also be making a return as well. Bungie will be introducing the Iron Lord’s Pride intrinsic perk through this set. :Wearing a piece of this armor grants a small chance of an Enhancement Prism dropping at the end of an Iron Banner match,” per the devs. Each additional piece worn increases the chance, capping at four pieces total.

Once more details are revealed for the new season, we’ll let our readers know. Don’t forget, the new season starts on August 24, so we should hear more info about it this coming week.

In addition to that, we now have our first look at what the Ribbons in Battlefield 2042 will look like! Here’s a screen via redditor bnarsalah_97:

Obviously, given these are leaked gameplay, there’s a chance that these will be pulled, so watch ’em ASAP! We’ll provide link out mirrors if we spot any. Same as with the first gameplay leakage we posted, remember that these were taken from a Tech Test build of the game, and as such, does not represent the final product.

Are you liking the vehicle action we’ve seen so far? It definitely brings back some Battlefield 3 and BF4 memories, which franchise fans should love.
