Stardew Valley Update 1.55 February 16 Released

Following Stardew Valley’s big 1.5 patch which got released last week, ConcernedApe released a the Stardew Valley update 1.55 February 16 patch just now. Head on below for what we know about this title update.

Stardew Valley Update 1.55 February 16 Patch Notes:

Here’s the changelog from the PS4 update history:

– Fixed ground rendering bug in a few areas of the game.
– Fixed some UI placement when zoom/scale was not 100%.

ConcernedApe has not acknowledged today’s patch rollout but the devs did address that there is a “blue ground” bug on consoles that’s being investigated and fixed via a patch.

I’m aware of the “blue ground” bug on consoles… We’re investigating it, and after it’s figured out it will be fixed in a patch. Fortunately it only seems to happen in one specific area, and is only a visual bug. (This message brought to you by Joja Bluu)

In addition to that, another change that didn’t get any big announcement is the Cowpoke requirement being lowered. Here’s the message from the devs via the official Discord:

The people have spoken, and we have listened! As of right now, we have lowered the requirements to become Cowpoke from level 10 to level 5. This means that users will be able to access some server perks, such as being able to speak in VC, faster. Anyone who was in the level 5-10 range will receive the Cowpoke rank the next time you speak.

So far, that’s all the changes we’re aware of. If you know of any other changes, let us know what they are down in the comments.

The Division 2 Maintenance on Feb. 16 Will See a Fix for PS5 Missing Volumetric Fog

Ubisoft has announced that tomorrow, February 16, server maintenance will be happening for The Division 2 for three hours. While this seems to be your standard maintenance for the game, the devs have also confirmed that a fix is incoming for at least the PS5 version.

We’ve listed the schedule and official patch notes from Ubisoft below. As for the changelog, it only mentions that the PS5 version will have a fix for the missing volumetric fog on the platform.

The Division 2 maintenance schedule (Feb. 16):

09:30 a.m. CET/3:30 a.m.EDT/12:30 a.m. PDT/4:30 p.m. HKT

Estimated downtime: Three (3) hours

Maintenance notes:

  • This maintenance will include a fix for the missing volumetric fog on PlayStation 5.

If there are other changes in this maintenance, and what we assume is a server-side patch, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

As for proper title updates to The Divsion 2, Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment has issued a statement to fans confirming that more content will be coming to the game this year! And from the message, it seems like it’ll be more than just seasonal events.

Rainbow Six Quarantine Renamed “Rainbow Six Parasite” as Image Surfaces (Update)

Announced back in 2019, Rainbow Six Quarantine news really didn’t surface at all last year other than being mentioned that it was being delayed to the “first half of 2021” during Ubisoft’s quarterly earnings call.

While Ubisoft has remained mum on any new details, it seems the publisher is moving forward with the game, as a file for it has been uploaded on the PlayStation Network! This file numbers the game version as 1.01, and cites it as the “Initial launch patch.”

Upon further digging, we found what seems to be an image from the file belonging to the PS4 of the dash, boot, and save data icon, and the mention of Rainbow Six Parasite, which could be Rainbow Six Quarantine’s new title! Note that Ubisoft has confirmed that it was mulling a name change and moving away from “Quarantine” given the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. Check out the images we’ve obtained below.

Image of the PS4 dash icon
rainbow six parasite PS4
The boot screen PS4 players will see. Also the save data icon.

In addition to that, we’ve also managed to get an image of the Remote Play feature using the PlayStation Vita, where it’s also named as “Rainbow Six Parasite.” Sadly there is no description as to what each button does.

Here’s the official description for the game back when Ubisoft revealed it:

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine™ is a 3-player squad-based survival FPS being developed by an entirely new team at Ubisoft Montreal.

The Rainbow Six operators will face off against a mysterious threat infecting human hosts and their surroundings.  Prepare to launch into tense, chaotic, and totally unpredictable missions as you and your squad risk everything every time you step into quarantine.

If Parasite is indeed the final title, it’s one that fits, and does indeed the trick of distancing itself from COVID-19. For now, since nothing has officially been announced by Ubisoft, take this as a rumor.

We’ve reached out to Ubisoft and will update the post if we get a response.

Update: Ubisoft has issued a statement to PCGamesN (oddly, nothing sent on our end), and mentioned that “Rainbow Six Parasite” is a placeholder name that’s used internally, though more details will be shared soon.

While we recently shared that we will be changing the name of Rainbow Six Quarantine, ‘Parasite’ is only a placeholder that our internal teams use. Recently, we ran an internal test for the game and some of its details became public. We can confirm this is a glimpse of the upcoming game, and we will share more details, including the official name, soon.

Once we get more details, we’ll let our readers know.

Dead by Daylight Upcoming Update (4.5.2) Changes Discussed, Here’s What’s Coming

While Behaviour Interactive just released a patch last week that bought in changes to the HUD, gameplay changes and more, it hasn’t resonated as well as the devs would have liked with the player base. Thankfully, the devs are listening, as the Dead by Daylight upcoming update (titled 4.5.2) changes have been discussed in detail.

Relevant Reading: For those looking for the Dead by Daylight Feb. 16 patch (hotfix 4.5.1), check out the patch notes here.

Note that this is not the official patch notes for the upcoming title update for Dead by Daylight, but rather, an overview of what the devs are looking into and what changes are set to come. That said, nothing here is set in stone, so some things could get moved or taken out completely.

Dead by Daylight Upcoming Update (4.5.2) Changes:

Following the 4.5.0 update, we have been closely monitoring feedback on a few different key changes. Already we have begun making changes, and we would like to address as many as we can in one go.

Above is a work in progress preview of the changes we’ll be making to the HUD for the 4.5.2 update. Please note that this image is not final and could be subject to further tweaks and polish.

To summarize some of the most notable changes, we have:

  • Moved the Survivor statuses from the top left to the lower left
  • Lowered the hook counter
  • Moved the generator counter/objective to the lower left
  • Removed text from objectives
  • Added a separate scaling option for skill checks
  • Increased the size of bleedout and hook progress bars

The changes listed above are planned to appear in the 4.5.2 update. There are more changes planned to come to that will be part of future updates such as:

  • Changing status effects to avoid red-on-red
  • Increasing the visibility of Killer powers (e.g. Reverse Bear Trap timers, Doctor’s Madness, etc.)
  • Increasing the visibility of text on high resolutions

SURVIVOR LOCOMOTION

We are also reviewing feedback for the new Survivor animations. While the movement itself hasn’t changed, new animations and transitions can make your character feel different to control. We want this transition to be as smooth as possible, so we are looking into the following:

  • Removing camera position changes
  • Fixing some animation bugs
  • Reviewing turning animation to better reflect the old animations

We are tentatively planning to address some of these issues starting alongside the next Chapter. Please note that this is by no means a comprehensive list and we are still actively discussing feedback, including possible causes for motion sickness.

HIT REGISTRATION

Many of you have reported strange hits after the 4.5.0 update. You’re not alone, this is a high priority issue, and our team has identified a potential cause. We are aiming to have the fix ready for the 4.5.2 update.

We have also investigated an issue which would cause Killers to be teleported to the wrong side of the pallet. This issue will be fixed in the 4.5.2 update as well.

MISCELLANEOUS

Finally, there are a few frequently reported issues that we’d like to cover before we sign off:

  • Losing pips in custom games: Fixed in 4.5.1
  • Missing collision on a structure in the Asylum map: Fixed in 4.5.1
  • Impassable areas in some maps: Fixed in 4.5.1
  • Losing pips even though you appear to have safety pipped: Fixed in 4.5.2 (this was a visual bug where the game would incorrectly show you a higher quality emblem that you actually earned)
  • Misleading collision on rubble piles surrounding the Asylum: Fixed in 4.5.2

No firm release window/date has been given for this upcoming patch, but once we know more, we’ll let our readers know.

Battlefield 6: Should DICE Push for 128-Player Matches or Stick to 64 Players?

This past week, a new rumor has surfaced stating that DICE is looking to move past 64-player matches in the upcoming Battlefield game set for release later this year (tentatively titled Battlefield 6), with the new game said to be aiming for 128 players in a single match!

Given how EA themselves has shared that Battlefield 2021 will “feature more players than ever before,” it seems like the rumor does have some merit. Now, the big question is: should DICE even do it? Or should the studio stick with 64-player matches?

While touting 128-player matches and how it’s the “biggest team-based, online multiplayer shooter ever” is a good marketing ploy, there are a lot of drawbacks to pushing for that big of a number. Looking at it, we here at MP1st decide to dive deeper and offer explanations on why featuring 128-player matches is a bad (and good) thing.

next battlefield game

Technicalities

Chief among my concerns for this massive player count is due to tech. Sure, the PS5 and Xbox Series X might be capable of handling that many players in a single map and server, but honestly speaking, DICE has never been known to release bug-free, stable games at launch. Fans have grown accustomed to it, that any technical issues, the studio will iron it out in the coming weeks and months.

Now, imagine 128 players. On one map. On one server. It’s hard enough to pull this feat alone, but if you factor in that there will be vehicles, destruction (supposedly, a step up from Levolution even), different classes, equipment, physics data and the like — it’s technical nightmare waiting to happen.

Even if DICE can pull the technical side off, there’s still another problem…

Battlefield Players Not Going After the Fucking Objective

There’s a reason PTFO (Play the Fucking Objective) has been used so much for Battlefield games; it’s mostly due to Ricky Recons and MMG prone commandos (introduced in Battlefield 5), just sitting in one corner and just mining kills. It’s bad enough that in a 64-player match, sometimes more than 10 players in one team are bush wookies (snipers), but imagine a massive map that fits 128 players, and about half of that are just up in the hill sniping, waiting and just flat out not doing anything to help you win. Not only would it infuriate PTFO players, but that would make matches boring since I assume the map would be way bigger than your standard 32v32 match.

Clusterduck!

If you’ve ever played Operation Metro or Operation Locker in past Battlefield games, you’ll know how chaotic these matches are when player counts are increased. Sure, these are “meat grinder” maps, and are seen as full-on chaos, but imagine playing these same kinds of maps and it’s 64v64! Granted, that might be fun as well, but given how the Battlefield population tend to play these maps over and over (and I plead guilty to be one of those people), prepare for 128-player meat grinds the moment these maps become available.

While it seems we’re (or I am) against the Battlefield franchise progressing, we can’t end this discussion without mentioning why featuring 128-player matches is a good thing.

Battlefield 3 Mod Venice Unleashed Release Date

This Is the Natural Progression for the Franchise

With the Battlefield franchise featuring infantry and vehicular combat, and destructible environments, the natural progression would be to in increase the player count, since, well, that’s about it. Adding weather changes has been done in the franchise before, large-scale destruction has been seen too. And the devs can’t put dozens of vehicles on the map available at any one time or it would seriously hurt game balance. In that sense, the only sensible thing with the more powerful tech we have now is to increase the player count.

call of duty warzone review

Warzone Proved Large Scale Can Work

Like it or not, Call of Duty Warzone not only revitalized the Call of Duty franchise, but it’s also the shot in the arm large scale shooters needed. The F2P battle royale game features 150 players, and this included vehicles in matches well. While there are no destructible environments, and the dynamics of a battle royale game are vastly different from that of a Battlefield game, it proved that matches featuring that big of a player count can work. Add in how internet service, networks and net speeds are now, it also proved that from a connection perspective, players around the world were ready for something this massive.

jaqub ajmal

It Can Prove to Be a Game-Changer and a Prime Marketing Tool

If Battlefield 6 indeed features 128-player matches, expect EA to use that as one of the game’s primary marketing features. “128-player matches with destructible environments” does have a nice ring to it, no?

Aside from that though, if this does happen and it works, this could be the big leap the franchise needs to sort of “reboot” itself after Battlefield 5’s missteps. If pulled successfully, this will not only usher in a new era of Battlefield games, but a new standard for large scale multiplayer shooters in general.

That’s about it from us. What’s your take? Do you want to see 128-player matches in Battlefield 6 or do you want DICE to stick to 64-players? Sound off in the comments below.

Capcom: Resident Evil Village Is the Best Survival Horror Game to Date, Heavily Inspired by RE4

While what we’ve seen so far from Resident Evil Village seems quite promising, Capcom has lofty expectations for it, and think that this particular entry will be the “best survival horror game to date.”

This was mentioned by Capcom Producer Peter Fabiano in the latest issue (March, #185) of the PlayStation Official Magazine (via WccfTech), where he also talks about game protagonist Ethan Winters.

Concepting and planning was something going through our developers’ minds since towards the end of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard. The team grew quite attached to Ethan as a character so we knew we wanted to continue his story arc. We wanted to continue to have players experience the game through the eyes of protagonist Ethan Winters. This is a continuation of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard after all.

This really helped to keep our vision on target. And since we are constantly sharing information across Resident Evil teams, that really helped inform us in making what we consider the best survival horror game to date.

If that wasn’t enough for you to board the Resident Evil Village hype train, Fabiano also said that the game has taken a lot of inspiration from Resident Evil 4 — widely considered by Resident Evil fans as one of the best entries in the franchise.

You’ll notice we took a lot of inspiration from Resident Evil 4. The team has put a ton of effort into creating a truly authentic feel. There are plenty of surprises to keep you on your toes; players will find a balance of combat, exploration, and puzzle solving.

Resident Evil Village is set for release this May 7, and will feature a free multiplayer poriton called RE:Verse.

Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition Announced, PS5 and Xbox Series X Versions New Features Detailed

Deep Silver and 4A Games has announced the Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition! In addition to that, the studio has also revealed details for the Metro Exodus PS5 and Xbox Series X versions as well.

According to 4A Games, the Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition will feature the studio’s  new “Fully Ray Traced Lighting Pipeline” and the latest GPU-capable hardware from Nvidia and AMD to offer the ultimate “Ray Traced experience.” Apparently, this upgrade is so extensive that it will require a Ray Tracing capable GPU as the MINIMIUM spec, and it needs to be delivered as a separate product, as it’s not a simple “patch” to the base game.

*In-Game screenshot captured on PC showing our new RTGI, Emissives, and Infinite Ray bounces

The PC Enhanced Edition will be free to all existing Metro Exodos owners on the Epic Games Store, Steam and GoG, and is set for release this spring.

Onto the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, it will be a free upgrade to owners of Metro Exodus on the PS4 and Xbox One, and will feature 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second with full ray traced lighting! The base game and DLC will feature both the studio’s Ray Traced Global Illumination (RTGI) and the Ray Traced Emissive Lighting techniques pioneered in The Two Colonels expansion across all content.

Loading times will also be greatly reduced thanks to the use of SSD for both next-gen platforms, and there’s also other platform-specific new stuff, too! The haptic features of the DualSense controller will utilized, as well as the spatial audio and controller latency improvements on the Xbox.

Check out the table below to see what the studio is aiming for the next-gen version of Metro Exodus as well as the PC Enhanced Edition.

If you haven’t played Metro Exodus yet, it looks to be worth it to just wait out the next-gen and/or PC Enhanced Edition, as it look like it’ll be graphically enhanced in a major way from the original release.

Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie Animation Released, Confirmed Unrelated to Rift Apart

Ratchet & Clank fans who are up to date with the fandom will want to take note about this latest update, as the new animated feature called Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie that has appeared on the Canadian streaming service Crave has been confirmed to be unrelated to Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.

Here’s a short clip from the new animated feature:

https://youtu.be/6VOPjf6XPGs

According to a report by IGN, a spokesperson for PlayStation clarified that Life of Pie was completely separate from the upcoming sequel coming to PS5 later this year.

“Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie is a standalone, licensed animated special created and distributed by Mainframe Studios,” says a PlayStation spokesperson. “The show is not related to the upcoming Ratchet & Clank game for PlayStation 5 and is not official canon to the franchise’s video game narrative.”\

For those who remember Mainframe Studios, they also animated Ratchet & Clank: The Movie — which was actually a tie-in to Ratchet & Clank 4. That doesn’t seem to be the case now with the new animated feature — which Mainframe created in 2019 and is just debuting now on Crave. The timing just happens to be coincidental with the impending release of Rift Apart — which is a PS5 exclusive and once again coming from Insomniac Games.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s release date was actually revealed a couple of days ago along with a new pre-order trailer here.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will hit the PS5 on June 11.

The Last of Us Severed Head Crash Bug Finally Gets a Fix From Modders After Almost 8 Years

Did you know that The Last of Us has a very strange bug centered around severed infected heads that could make the game crash? Probably not, as the conditions, while easy to do, is one that seemed to have been overlooked for almost eight full years, even being present in the rereleased remastered version to this day. Well, it seems that some rather dedicated modders have took it upon themselves to fix this The Last of Us severed head crash bug, even supplying the instructions for Naughty Dog to implement a fix themselves.

To give some background on this “crash bug,” basically, whenever an AI kills an infected via decapitation, they would leave a severed head behind for the player to see. While most players would just go about through a level, ignoring cutoff heads by NPC, it seemed that some discovered that if you threw an object, say a brick or a bottle at the severed head, it would instantly crash the game. A very odd bug to say the least, one that has survived after all these years since the original and remaster release. We went ahead to test (on PS5) out the bug ourselves to see if there was any truth to this bug.

As you can see it’s a very replicable bug, though understandably it may have gone under the radar of  many, including Naughty Dog as the thought of throwing an object at a head severed by NPC isn’t exactly on many minds.

Still, that hasn’t stopped PlayStation scene modder illusion0001, with the help of ZEROx at digging into the reason behind this crash. Over on illusion0001 personal blog, the modder details their discovery leading up to the bug along with a  step by step instructions on implementing an unofficial fix for jailbroken PS3, PS4, and the RPCS3 emulator. The result? Endless brick throwing at severed heads, crash free!

Despite discovering a fix, illusion0001 isn’t exactly 100% sure why this crash occurs, though guesses that it’s due to the game thinking the severed head is an enemy with no collision data tied to it.

“Our best guess is that the game thinks the object collied is an enemy and no data generated.”

Again, this fix is only applicable to jailbroken PS3 & PS4 consoles along with the RPCS3 emulator on PC. For now, if you are playing the Remastered version on either the PS4 or PS5, you’ll need to wait for Naughty Dog to patch the fix in themselves. But then again, this isn’t that big of a bug, if anything a rather funny one that happened to slip by.

If so, you might be able to do just that provided you can mod your version of the game on PC, as the Tekken 7 Tifa character mod and Final Fantasy 7 stage for the fighting game has been released!

Tifa is a character replacement mod for Josie, so expect the same moves though with different outfits.

Here’s a Dying Light Valentine’s Docket Freebie; Techland Community Manager Denies Acquisition Rumors

In case you didn’t know, a new game update was rolled out for Dying Light, and this introduced new content to the zombie game. If that wasn’t enough, Techland has also released a Dying Light Valentine’s docket code freebie too!

For those interested, the docket code is “TRUELOVE” and will give players the Valentine’s Pack, which contains the Valentine’s Crossbow. Players can redeem the code on the official Dying Light docket site. If you’re not familiar with how it works, just sign up to the website, link your PSN/XBL/Steam account, redeem the code, and voila! That’s about it.

If a free Dying Light Valentine’s docket isn’t that big of a news for you, then perhaps rumors of Techland’s acquisition is! Over on Twitter, Techland Community Manager “Uncy” tweeted that he has gotten DMs (Direct Messages) about the studio being acquired, and issued a semi-statement of sorts.

I’m getting a lot of dm’s about Dying Light acquisition so I’ll answer here:
There was the same rumour floating around the internet one year ago and the situation didn’t change – Techland is an independent studio and it was not acquired by another publisher (:

The studio being indie still is good news, as they’ll be able to release the game when they feel is ready. That, and I doubt publishers would want a studio to keep making content for games released years ago.

For those looking for Dying Light 2 news, sit tight! Techland confirmed that we’ll be getting “fresh updates” on the game this year. In the meantime, go check out the contents of the Dying Light 2 Collector’s Edition which got leaked by a retailer.

Nvidia RTX 3060 Graphics Card Release Date Announced for February 25

Nvidia’s cheapest card in the RX 3000 series, the RTX 3060 graphic card is out soon! As the Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card release date has been announced for February 25.

The card will officially go on sale on February 25, with retailers (none specified) opening their supply chain for purchase around 9am PST. At a MSRP of just $329, this will be the cheapest card in the RTX 3000 line, so don’t be surprised if they happen to sell out. In fact, you’ll need to act very fast given that the whole RTX 3000 line has been in very short supply, making it very difficult to get one since their launch last fall.

To help alleviate the demand, Nvidia has confirmed to PCwolrd that they plan on re-releasing their lower end RTX 2060 and GTX 1050 Ti cards, which they stopped selling two years ago. While certainly not exactly what many PC gamers are wanting, the hope is that these cards will help pull demand off, especially with crypto miners who many believe are swooping up the cards with the given boom in cryptocoins.

And yet despite this announcement of Nvidia kicking off production of the old cards, a growing concern is the ongoing price gouge that many retailers are currently placing. While the original MSRP of both cards being $139 (GTX 1050 Ti) and $349 (RTX 2060), searching for them now on retailers such as Newegg will show that they are being seriously overpriced, with the GTX 1050 Ti potentially running up to $800, roughly around the cost you can find the superior RTX 3080, if you are lucky that is.

Hopefully this helps with the overall demand for GFX cards as they have been exceeding in their current supply, thus the reason why they’re so hard to find. However, with this news don’t go in expecting that cards in the RTX 3000 series will suddenly become more available as Nvidia doesn’t expect the short supply of RTX 3000 Cards to be over until at least the end of April.

PS5 Scalper Group Doesn’t Feel the Bad Press Against Them Is Justified

In the mist of the on-going console and GPU shortage, a private group calling themselves “The Lab” that consists of scalpers have come forward to try and clear the air on all the bad press around PS5 scalpers. Cue the sad violin music, folks!

While next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series) launched back in November of last year, the demand for these two devices have been overwhelming to say the least. Not an odd problem when a new console generation rolls around, but with the COVID-19 pandemic still plaguing the world, supply for such products have been increasingly hard to keep up with for manufacturers.

And because they’re so limited in stock, many desperate buyers have turned their eyes to scalpers, whom are reselling the consoles at some rather steep pricing. This has made the gaming community rather angry, and rightfully so as some PS5 scalpers are inflating the price of the console by almost 100% of their standard MSRP ($499). It also doesn’t help that they have obtain these consoles by use of bots, which give them an unfair advantage over the average buyer as they are programmed to swoop in and grab a retailer inventory as soon as they become available.

Yet despite them taking advantage of the current situation in the middle of a pandemic, one group feels that all the bad press that they have received is rather unjustifiable as feel they have done no wrong by acting as the “middleman.”

“There seems to be A LOT of bad press on this incredibly valuable industry and I do not feel that it is justified, all we are acting as is a middleman for limited quantity items.” Jordan, co-founder of The Lab told Forbes, “Essentially every business resells their products. Tesco, for example, buys milk from farmers for 26p or so per liter and sells it on for upwards of 70p per liter. No one ever seems to complain to the extent as they are currently doing towards ourselves.”

Can’t say we can agree with this reasoning ourselves as retailers are already considered to be the middleman when it comes product distribution. Very rarely will you see a retailer up the cost of a gaming console from it’s MSRP, unless of course you take into consideration of bundles, though the increase in cost in usually offset by the addition of say an extra controller or game, something scalpers aren’t providing to justify the price.

What are your thoughts, is this a good reasoning provided by the PS5 scalpers? Let us know down below.

Xbox Mobile App Getting Achievements Support, Close to 6 Million Smart Delivery Upgrades Since Launch

Sitting down with Xbox Live’s Larry Hryb, or more commonly known as Major Nelson, Director of Program Management Jason Ronald discussed some of the future development that the team has for Xbox. Down below you’ll find a short summary of what was discussed and what the development team is currently working on, and as you can see from the title, the Xbox mobile app is getting Achievements support!

Check out the easy-to-read bulletpoint list to see what Major Nelson and Ronald talked about:

  • Xbox Mobile App is getting achievement supports
  • Team working really hard to reenable quick resume on titles they deactivated on at launch.
  • They have quality of life updates coming for not only Xbox Series X and S, but also for Xbox One.
  • Feedback: Improvements on broadcasting
  • Feedback: The sharing experience
  • Feedback: Quality of game DVR
  • Feedback: Enabling quick resume for even more titles.
  • Feedback: Giving people a way to understand how quick resume works and more user control over it

Jason Ronald stated that all these were high priority for the team as they’re looking into future updates for the coming month, while also teasing that Insider Ring members will be seeing them “really soon.”

As for what’s going in the future? Here’s what Jason had to say.

“As a team, we’re just really excited by this initial response by the fans all around the world. At launch, we say it all the time internally, this is really just the beginning. We’ve got a lot of exciting things coming down the pipeline over the coming months and coming years. We’re also partnering really closely with key game developers from all across the industry, to really take full advantages of all the next-gen capabilities that we’ve put in the Xbox Series X and Series S and we’re really excited as we get further in the year and closer to the Holiday to start sharing more the details about what’s in development and how you can really take advantage of these next-gen platforms.

Larry then added that the team has a lot coming, though isn’t allowed to say too much about it.

Go back a bit earlier in the interview, Larry stated that over the Holiday period Xbox saw a huge boom in it’s Smart Delivery upgrade system. Jason added to this that the company has seen close to 6 million Smart Delivery upgrades since launch. Do note that this by no means is an indication of how many consoles have sold as multiple games support the feature, meaning a single Series owner could own more than one upgradable title, which is done automatically once the game is loaded on either Series console.

If you are interesting in watching the full interview, you can watch it down below (33:40 timestamp):

3D printed by LanderQuest, this puts a Xenomorph head between the two PS5 shells! The Xenomorph design was derived from the Alien head wall hanger design, and then customized so it’ll fit the PS5 console. Check out images of it below.

If that’s not enough for you, gamer shqar.ok has created a Facehugger PS5 stand! You can check out that creator’s stuff right here, but if you just want to check the Facehugger PS5 stand, head on below.

What say you, PS5 gamers? Is this something Ripley would be proud of or he’d zap these into space ASAP? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
