Marvel’s Avengers Future Imperfect Hawkeye Story Details Revealed

For Marvel’s Avengers fans starved for new content, Crystal Dynamics has you covered, as the next War Table for the game is set for this coming week, and it’ll feature the Marvel’s Avengers Future Imperfect Hawkeye content details!

While the reveal is set for this Feb.16, Square Enix is sending out emails to Marvel’s Avengers players reminding them of this content drop preview, and alongside it, has revealed story details!

Here’s what players will get in their emails:

After the A-Day disaster, Clint Barton and his mentee, Kate Bishop, were left on their own, deciding to search for the missing Nick Fury, and, in doing so, stumbled upon AIM’s secret Tachyon Project, resulting in Clint’s capture. Though Kate bought him back to the Avengers, peril doesn’t leave him; he falls into a coma, witnessing a future version that leaves him confused and defeated when he finally wakes. Armed with his bow, sword, and knowledge of the grim events to come, it’s up to Hawkeye to stop the end of the world.

Talk about pressure! MP1st will be here to cover the Marvel’s Avengers Future Imperfect Hawkeye preview next week! We’ll most likely get some gameplay, a character overview, and of course, a release date.

Halo MCC “New Way and Place to Play” Tease Is for Custom Game Browser

Just last week, 343 Industries teased that there will be a “new way and place to play” Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Halo MCC), which gave people the impression that the game would appear on other platforms or even retailers (Epic Game Store, etc.).

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as 343 has revealed that this “new way and place to play” Halo MCC is a tease for the game’s upcoming custom game browser which will be added via a public flight update this coming week (planned for February 18).

Next week we are planning to kick off our first flights for MCC in 2021! In last week’s MCC Flighting & Development Update, we talked about some of the features players can expect. If all goes well in Rings 1 and 2, we plan to roll out our next public flight as early as next Thursday, February 18. While all of the contents of the flight are subject to change, some of the features we’re hoping to include are:

  • Custom Game Browser: a new way to play with each other in MCC
  • Season 6 content
  • A new map for Halo 3 from Halo Online
  • FOV slider support for all Xbox One consoles
  • FOV slider will no longer be locked when Xbox Series X|S devices are set to 120hz
  • Double Keybindings
  • Mouse & Keyboard support for consoles
  • Advanced Audio options
  • View Model Customization options

While this might have disappointed some gamers, I guess this is to be expected. If 343 (and Microsoft) will indeed roll out Halo MCC on other platforms or digital retailers, they’d make a bigger deal of it than have it tucked away in a forum post, no?

Were you hoping for something else from this tease or did it play out exactly like you imagined it would?

The Division 2 Devs Issue Message to Fans, Title Update 12 Originally Planned to Be Last Major Update

While Ubisoft has already confirmed that we will see The Division 2 content released later this year and even in 2022, the studio behind the game, Massive Entertainment, has released a message to fans, confirming that The Division 2 will see content released later this year though the studio can’t go into specifics.

In the message, Massive Entertainment also revealed that Title Update 12, which was released in December of last year, was originally the last major title update for the game, though that now has changed, which suggests that whatever the studio has planned, it won’t be just seasonal events.

Here’s the letter in full by the dev team:

We see the ongoing conversation in our community and we understand that you are eager for news of what lies ahead for The Division 2.

Today, we are thrilled to confirm that there will be additional content for The Division 2 released later this year! It is your continuous passion and support which enables us to continue to build upon The Division 2 experience, and we cannot thank you enough for that.

Some of you had noticed that Title Update 12 was originally meant to be the last major Title Update for The Division 2, but thanks to your continued support, we are now in the early stages of development for fresh content to release later in 2021.

While it is still too early to go into more details today, you won’t have to wait too long, as we will share more as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we again want to send a heartfelt thank you for your continued support throughout the Division 2 post-launch period. We cannot stress enough how much this means to us.

We also want to take this opportunity to update you on a few issues currently present in the game. An investigation into the crashes affecting many of you is ongoing with the highest priority, and we are also close to finding a fix for the missing volumetric fog and screen space reflections on PlayStation 5. We will let you know when we have a date for both fixes.

Until next time!

/ The Division 2 Development Team

This is defintely good news for agents looking forward to more missions, loot and more. Once we know the details, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

What are you expecting to see from the game later this year? Are you hoping for more expansions or would seasonal content do the trick?

God of War Big Eyes Gameplay Is Both Creepy and Funny at the Same Time

While we’ve already posted God of War gameplay with various mods applied (such as a beardless Kratos, or a young one), they’re mostly funny more than anything else. However, this God of War big eyes gameplay is sometimes funny, but kinda creeps me out at the same time.

Once again posted by YouTuber Speclizer, check out nine-minutes of God of War gameplay showcasing Kratos, Atreus and the rest of the game’s cast with big eyes!

Will we see Sony Santa Monica add funny stuff like this in God of War games? Probably not, but thankfully, we have modders who can do the heavy lifting for us.

Speaking of God of War, don’t forget that the PS5 Enhanced Performance patch has been released last week! This is the perfect time to jump in and play (or replay) Kratos’ latest adventure given all the added bells and whistles.

Black Ops Cold War Best-Selling Game for Jan. 2021; Now the 20th Best-Selling Game in US Tracked History

While we already know that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the best-selling game in the US last year, it looks like the game’s hot streak has spilled over to 2021, as Black Ops Cold War sales figures have propped it as the #1 best-selling game for January 2021 in the US!

In addition to that impressive feat, the game is now the 20th best-selling game in US tracked bistory! This was revealed by The NPD Group Executive Director Mat Piscatella.

https://twitter.com/MatPiscatella/status/1360227220506091526

US NPD SW – Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was January’s best-selling game. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been the best-selling game in the U.S. each month since its November launch, and it now ranks as the 20th best-selling video game in U.S. tracked history.
In other Black Ops Cold War news, two server-side updates were released this week, with one yesterday for a playlist update, while another one was for gameplay-related changes.

This is huge news for Activision, though something I think the publisher already excepts.

Halo infinite PvP & PvE to Be Balanced Separately, “Never-Before-Seen” Weapon to Be Introduced

While there’s still no definite news on when we can expect Halo Infinite to be available later this year other than “fall 2021,” 343 Industries is making the wait a wee bit easier, as it commuicates with fans regarding the game. Just this week, the studio launched its first-ever “Ask343” Q&A session that talks about Halo Infinite PvP (Player vs. Player) and PvE (Player vs. Enemy AIs) and loads more.

Clocking in at over 25-minutes long,  Quinn DelHoyo, of Halo Infinite’s Sandbox Team shares the answers to some of the questions fans have asked over Twitter. If you’d rather not watch the entire thing, we have a quick summary of the tastiest bits from the Q&A.

Possibly the biggest news here is, Halo PvP and PvE will have separate balancing updates! In addition to that, the studio teased that a “never-before-seen” weapon will be making its way into the game that will fill the role of the basic shotgun!

  • CONFIRMED: you can grapple hook a banshee and skyjack it
  • CONFIRMED: you can use the grapple shot to pick up weapons on the ground!
  • CONFIRMED: PvE and PvP will be balanced SEPARATELY
  • CONFIRMED: Warthogs can be damaged in other ways than just general damage. In the gameplay reveal, we see a Warthog lose its front left wheel, for instance. There will be more like that they plan to show later.
  • CONFIRMED: new and classic weapons will be added over time to the game, as well as various updates to existing weapons.
  • CONFIRMED: spike grenades have blades, so when you stick something with it, it does INSTANT damage even before exploding. Grunts even die in one hit just from the stick itself before the explosion even happens.
  • CONFIRMED: They fully believe there is room for the classic shotgun in the sandbox in addition to the Bulldog. There is a “new, never before seen” weapon filling the role of the classic shotgun at the moment, and there are of course many weapons they’ve yet to show.
  • CONFIRMED: “If we want to bring a legacy weapon back, we want it to play like how it did in the classic games.” Example being that when (they said when) they being the magnum back in addition to the sidearm they have now, it feels like a classic magnum, rather than being like how the magnums in CE, 2, and 3 all play very, very differently. “When, and if, and how we bring it back, we wanna do it right so that fans recognize it as being the magnum.”
  • CONFIRMED: the sidekick pistol is “similar to the Gunfighter magnum in Halo 5.”
  • CONFIRMED: multiple types of damage types within damage types. The Ravager, for instance, is a “red plasma” brute weapon which burns hotter and overheats faster. There will be other types of plasma and damage types in the game, as well, that they’ll elaborate on at another time.
  • pvp and campaign will be balanced seperately
  • can use grapple to hijack vehicles and pick up weapons
  • weapons will receive balance patches post launch
  • new weapons will be added over time, including classics
  • new never before seen weapon to fill the classic shotgun role
  • weapons have different damage types with different affects, kinetic and plasma were mentioned, brute plasma works differently to normal plasma
  • weapons and equipment in pvp spawn on the map ala classic halo / halo 5
  • new damage model / damage response system for vehicles. “more to it than simply health / when a certain tire gets shot out vehicle will drive differently / more choices of how to eliminate or affect vehicles”
  • new grenade mechanics eg. spike grenades do damage on stick, can potentially kill a grunt or low hp enemy on impact
  • sidekick pistol replacing the magnum to draw a more solid line between pistol and rifle engagement distances

In other Halo Infinite news, it’s now been confirmed that Halo Infinite will feature a fully customizable control scheme!

Thanks, ObamaEatsBabie, IntrinsicGamer!

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch #4 Release Around The Corner, Will Make Old Saves Incompatible

There’s a new Baldur’s Gate patch coming, and while details are a bit light, we do know that Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch #4 will do away with old saves.

In the pre-patch announcement blog, developer Larian Studios noted that the team is working hard (since patch #3) on the upcoming update for the early access of Baldur’s Gates 3. While no official release date has been given, nor any specifications on all the changes they have made, the team did confirm that anyone running on saves created from patch #3 or prior will cease to function in this upcoming update.

Yep, you read right, so if you’ve already invested hundreds of hours into the current build and want to play on the new patch, prepare to have to re-roll those characters. Though all is not lost, however, as Larian Studios did also confirm that they would, much like past branches, be offering the option to continue to play on the current build. Instructions for that can be found below, though if you have already done it before then it won’t be any different this time around.

As for when we’ll hear more about Baldur’s Gates Patch #4, the team announced that they will yet again be hosting another Panel From Hell that will be streamed on February 17 at 10am PT.

We’ll probably get a good look at Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch #4 along with other tidbits of information around the development, so stay tuned!

How to keep playing on Patch 3:

The secondary branch will be the previous version, but the primary branch (default download) will be the latest version. To access the secondary branch, do the following:

  • Right click on the game in your Steam library
  • Select properties
  • Click the BETAS tab
  • In the list under “Select the beta you would like to opt in to”, select patch3
  • Close the properties menu

If you do the above steps, you are all set to continue your current playthrough.

If you are unsure whether you want to update to the new patch, we recommend disabling automatic updates now, so that you have the choice to manually update to the new patch or opt-in to the secondary branch once the patch arrives. To disable automatic updates follow the below steps:

  • Right click on the game in your Steam library
  • Select properties
  • Click the Updates tab
  • Select “only update the game when I launch it” in the drop down menu

You can already move to the beta branch now, if you’d like to protect your save file and continue on the current version. Note: save files are not ‘deleted’ from your computer; they’ll remain in your folder, but you’ll only be able to load saves specific to their respective versions.

Important note: If you want the option to go back to the previous patch, it’s best to make a new in-game profile and backup your local saves from the previous patch. You can do the following before or after updating to the latest version:

  • Before starting a new playthrough, create a new profile by clicking the profiles button on the top left of the main menu. All your progress in the new patch will then be saved under this profile while your old saves are safe in the previous profile.

  • As an extra safety measure, you can manually back up your savegames:
    Go to /Documents/Larian Studios/Baldur’s Gate 3/PlayerProfiles/
Find the folder that is named after the profile you used in the previous patch
Copy and paste this entire folder into a backup location

  • If you want to revert back to the previous patch, follow the instructions above and activate your old profile

  • If you have somehow lost your progress by overwriting savegames and want to restore your old backed up savegames simply copy over your old profile folder into its original location again: /Documents/Larian Studios/Baldur’s Gate 3/PlayerProfiles/
Sync back to the patch2 beta branch with the instructions above and load your old savegames

We know that having to switch branches may be annoying, but this is part of early access. All the feedback we’ve been gathering from your adventures and posts will go right into these patches, so next time you play it’ll feel like an experience you’ve helped to create.

Note: Branching unfortunately won’t be available on Stadia for the moment.

Following the closure of Telltale Games in 2018, the game was sadly pulled from digital stores and became a rare commodity for fans and players who had yet to experience it. Now that has reacquire the license to distribute the game, it gets a new lease in life and will be available for a new generation of gamers — especially for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners who can play the PS4 and Xbox One versions via backwards compatibility.

Here’s the overview of Tales From The Borderlands from the game’s Steam page.

Tales from the Borderlands is a five-part episodic game series from the creators of The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series. Set on the unforgiving world of Pandora after the events seen in Borderlands 2, this is a story full of Borderlands’ trademark humor, following two adventurers on their quest for greatness.

You’ll play as Rhys, a Hyperion ‘suit’ with dreams of being the next Handsome Jack, and Fiona, a Pandoran con artist looking to score her biggest ever swindle. Thrown together as unwilling partners in an adventure to recover cash they both think is theirs, their journey will take you on a wild ride where gangsters, bandit lords, and Vault Hunters are just some of the obstacles you’ll encounter, in this new take on the award-winning universe created by Gearbox Software.

Speaking about Borderlands, Jamie Lee Curtis has joined the cast of the Borderlands live-action movie as Dr. Tannis.

Tales From The Borderlands returns to PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting February 17.

ConcernedApe, makers of sim RPG Stardew Valley, has released the Stardew Valley update 1.54 February 11 patch, or what the studio calls patch 1.5! This patch is out on consoles (PS4, Xbox One and Switch), as well as PC.

Stardew Valley Update 1.54 February 11 (Patch 1.5) Patch Notes:

  • What changed in 1.5?
Stardew Valley 1.5 adds split-screen multiplayer and lots of new content. For more info (including on console), see…

  • Why don’t I see the update yet?
The update is still being rolled out on console, so it may take a few hours until it’s available to everyone.

You can force an update check like this:

    • PC: restart Steam or GOG Galaxy.
    • PS4: ?
    • Switch: highlight the game, press +, select Software Update and then Via the Internet.
    • Xbox: ?
  • Do I need a new save?
Nope, older saves will update automatically and all new content is available without starting a new save, with some small exceptions:

    • If you want to use the new Beach Farm it’s easier to start a new save. (On PC you can migrate an older save with save editing and temporary mods.)
    • When creating a new save, you can now set advanced options like randomized community center bundles. You can’t enable these for an existing save without modding or save editing.
  • How does splitscreen co-op work?
Split-screen multiplayer is a new feature in 1.5 which lets multiple people to play together on one device. You can have up to four players total (including both split-screen and remote players).

Setting up a save for splitscreen is the same as online multiplayer. You’ll need an empty cabin for someone else to join. See the wiki’s multiplayer page for the basic info if you need help.

Here’s how to enable split-screen mode:

    1. Connect controllers to your computer/console for the extra players.
    2. Open the save you want to play on.
    3. Open the in-game menu and choose the Options tab.
    4. Scroll down to the Multiplayer section and choose Start Local Co-op.
    5. Press start on the connected controller.
  • When will 1.5 release on mobile?
There’s no announced release date for mobile yet, but they’re working on it.
  • Was there a change to the Stone Owl and Strange Capsule?
Yes, in 1.5 the odds of these items appearing on the farm is much more likely. You can learn more about them on the wiki, see the Stone Owl and Strange Capsule pages there. According to CA, the prior odds for these two items appearing was a bug.

For the full spoiler-filled changelog, head on over here.

Dying Light Viking Raiders of Harran Bundle Trailer Features Vikings Kicking Zombie Ass

Just yesterday, Techland released a title update for Dying Light that featured new content and changes, with the studio teasing something for February 25. The new piece of content is the Dying Light Viking Raiders of Harran bundle that seems to include both weapons and outfits!

Check out the trailer below to see vikings kicking some zombie ass!

Prepare thy axes, children of Odin, for the time hath come—Harran awaiteth you!
The “Viking: Raiders of Harran” bundle will be available on all platforms from February 11.

Who said Vikings did not fight zombies? They’d better get their facts straight because there seems to be a precedent in Harran. The deep has washed up a Norseman. What Norseman? – you’d ask. Why, you, of course! And you’ve never looked better. After all, what are some zombies compared to what you’ve already been through? Wars, bloodbath, plundering… Harran surely is just yet another place you’ll conquer. And we’re going to help you.

A true Viking like yourself would never settle for mediocrity, thus, you shalt have the finest gear. Whether you like your conquering style classical or fancy, we’ve got you covered. Two amazing high-end player skins are waiting for you, ready to get besmirched with zombie blood. And since we’re already speaking about blood, you’ll be able to butcher your enemies with a brand-new, shiny sword, axe or shield, which, too, come in two versions! Serve the Infected some old-school slaughter or burn them with fire! Whatever’s to your liking. Finally, you didn’t think we’d leave you without your ship, did you? We made some modifications to adapt it to the new environment and now you can raid Harran like a king in this true raider’s ride. Fair winds and following seas!

The bundle contains:
Two “Raider of Harran” outfits: “Björn the Warrior” and “Björn the Berserker”,
Two two-handed heavy axes: Ragnarök and Ashes of Ragnarök,
Two one-handed swords: The Aesir and The Fiery Aesir,
Two shields: Asgard’s Protector and Asgard’s Wall of Fire,
“Reinen” buggy skin.

Once we know more details regarding February 25’s new content or event, we’ll let our readers know.
