Report: Microsoft Had Talks to Acquire Destiny Developer Bungie

It looks like Microsoft is looking to shore up its first-party studios, and one of the developers the company is eyeing is none other than Bungie! The Microsoft Bungie acquisition talks was outed on the latest GamesBeat podcast by veteran video game journalist Jeff Grubb.

According to Grubb, Microsoft and Bungie have had discussions about it, though both parties have not been able to agree on a sale price. This report was backed up by Eurogamer who heard similar rumblings, which adds that that this was driven by Bungie’s desire to raise new funds for the studio, its project and staff.

The report doesn’t state if talks have been scrapped entirely, or if the sales price is still being negotiated currently.

If this pans out, would this mean Destiny will be exclusive to the Xbox platform moving forward? Perhaps, or it could continue as is, and Microsoft can make it so that future expansions and content come to Xbox platforms first.

Veteran gamers will remember that before Bungie made Destiny and charted on its own, the studio was first known for its work on the Halo franchise, with the last Halo game by Bungie being Halo Reach released back in 2010. Since then, Bungie has developed the highly successful Destiny franchise alongside Activision, with the two companies parting ways in January of 2019.

Will we see Bungie back in the Microsoft stable once again? And would you want it to develop Halo once more if given the chance?

Update: Bungie CEO Peter Parsons has shot down this report stating it’s “false.”

Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 Trophy Count Revealed, as Dev Achieves Platinum

A good sign of progression for Cyberpunk 2077, as one of the key developers today confirmed that they have played the game from start to finish, and even more so have 100% platinum the game on PS4, giving us an official Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 trophy count.

According to the screenshot published by Łukasz Babiel, a QA lead at CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 trophy list will feature a total of 45 trophies. 26 of those will be bronze, 17 silver, 1 gold, and of course the last being the platinum trophy.

What does this mean? Well, it confirms that the title is entirely playable from start to finish, including achieving 100% in all areas outside of the main campaign. On a bit more of the interesting side of things, we believe this would be the first time we have actually ever heard anything coming from the PS4 version outside of normal press releases. In fact, the content that has been shown thus far has been for PC and Xbox, considering that Microsoft currently has marketing rights for the title. And while this isn’t a screenshot of anything in-game, it is a bit nice to see something related to the PlayStation side of things for the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to release on November 19. It iwll be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with PS5 and Xbox Series X and S supporting backwards compatibility until the next-gen version is ready for release.

NBA 2K21 Update 1.02 September 14 patch notes:

Offiical patch notes are now available!

General

  • New Pro Stick Aiming/Shot Timing selector. On your first boot, you will now have the option to choose between using the new Pro Stick Aiming mechanic or the traditional Shot Timing mechanic. Your settings file will be updated with the appropriate selection. As always, you can visit your settings at any time to update your shooting preference.

  • Andrew Wiggins now appears with updated facial hair to more accurately represent his appearance.

Gameplay

  • Enabled the ability to use Pro Stick Shot Aiming with the Shot Meter setting turned off.
  • Ideal Shot Aiming point now determined by how slowly or quickly the Pro Stick is initially deflected when starting a shot. A slow flick will move the ideal aim point to the left, while a fast flick will move the ideal point to the right, giving players more consistency with Pro Stick shooting.
  • Changed Ante Up to use competitive slider settings (more skill-based).
  • When the Shot Feedback setting is set to “OFF,” players and opponents will no longer see Excellent Release (green light) animations.
  • Fixed unwanted fadeaway shots that were playing after immediately shooting out of certain dribble moves.
  • Improved standing dunk reliability when using the Pro Stick.
  • Disabled the double team indicator in an effort to clean up the on-screen UI based on community feedback.
  • Added the ability to shoot driving floaters from further away from the basket.
  • Moving Park dribble moves were remapped to “holds” on the Pro Stick, allowing continued use of Hard Stops with L2/LT after unlocking the Park Handles badge.
  • Cleaned up some animation pops in the dribble move system.
  • Fixed ball physics bugs when Shot Timing was set to Real Player %.
  • Toned down the effectiveness of the Lead to Basket pass feature to prevent exploits.

  • Fixed a hang that some users reported when entering/exiting the Cages.
  • Addressed a case where some users reported loss of control of their MyPLAYER during gameplay.
  • Fixed an issue in MyCOURT where the player was unable to finish some mini-games with certain NBA players as AI.
  • Fixed a hang that could happen at the start of a 3-on-3 game in MyCOURT.
  • Fixed an issue where fan growth in Park games was not properly accumulating.
  • Addressed an issue where custom shoes were sometimes not showing up properly on other players in the Beach.
  • Fixed a hang that some users reported when transitioning between Beach instances.
  • Users will now receive the correct scene after winning the College Championship.

MyTEAM

  • Fixed a hang that would occur if the user was tracking an expired Agenda.

  • Fixed user interface issues when applying and upgrading badges to player cards.

MyLEAGUE / MyGM

  • 2K Share Content (Draft Classes/Players/Rosters) should now properly function when accessed.
  • Tuning improvements to Player Progression, based on community feedback. With our new “Boom or Bust” system, player progression/regression has been completely re-written for 2K21 to provide a level of dynamism such that players will follow different career arcs in different playthroughs.
  • Addressed a MyLEAGUE item where the user would hang when selecting the Save As option after previously accessing the shared save list.

While Visual Concepts has not released the official patch notes yet, here are some of the feedback we’ve gotten from players (via Reddit):

  • Option to disable Pro Stick aiming in the controller settings (right at the start screen)
  • Mamba Forever bonus still not resolved for everyone
  • Fixed button shooting in Triple Threat offline for MyTeam
  • Pro Stick shooting adjustments (meter changes)
  • Glitch for controlling the other team crash has been fixed

Once we know the full ptch details, we’ll update the post. If you spot any big gameplay changes, let us know down in the comments and we’ll update the post.

If you haven’t bought the game yet, check out our review of it here. where our review states, “With EA seemingly putting an indefinite hold on the NBA Live franchise, the lack of competition essentially gives 2K an annual pass. The lack of realism regarding player ratings, player attitudes in building a franchise, and the overall experience of MyCareer leaves a sour taste in my mouth.”

Update: Offiical patch notes have been released by Visual Concepts.

Black Ops Cold War Flinch Has Been Redesigned From Past Games; In-Game Loadout Edits Confirmed

If you play Call of Duty multiplayer, you’ve no doubt experienced your character flinch when you got shot while aiming down sight (ADS). If you hated that, rejoice! Black Ops Cold War flinch design has been reworked from previous games!

This was confirmed by Game Designer Tony Flame who shared that now, flinch is now primarily a “feedback mechanism” instead of it affecting your weapon, and having players unintentionally getting headshots due to flinching.

Damage Flinch has been redesigned in Black Ops Cold War. Flinch is now primarily a feedback mechanism to help you understand you’re taking damage, without affecting the aim position of your weapon. Your weapon will move with your screen to stay on target. No more flinch headshots

Continuning with the good news, if you liked that you can tweak and edit your loadouts while in-game in Modern Warfare 2019, well, it’s now been confirmed that you’ll be able to do that in Black Ops Cold War too! This was confirmed by Treyarch employee FoxhoundFPS over on the game’s subreddit.

Core concept right here. We’re in Alpha and can tune/adjust these types of things.

Tanks go down very quickly when focused. You can also spec your weapons out to be anti-tank. Everyone should have a good anti-streak class. You can even make them in-game. No more excuses.

In other Black Ops Cold War news, sniper glint and map voting have both been confirmed! We also posted a scorestreak computation and explanation for those confused about the new scorestreak system.

Speaking of next-gen, Microsoft has announced details regarding the Xbox Series X and Series S! It’ll be out this November 10, and here are the details. Meanwhile, Sony has an event set for this week where we’re expecting the official PS5 price and release date to be announced!

What do you think of Gears 5 running at 120fps? Don’t forget, Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will also be running at that frame rate, and best of all, it’s going to be free!

Black Ops Cold War Scorestreaks Computation and Multipliers Explained

Earlier this past week, Treyarch unveiled a ton of details regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. One of the things revealed is the new scorestreak system wherein streaks don’t reset upon death. If you’re confused as to how it works, here’s a Black Ops Cold War scorestreaks computation and multipliers explanation.

Basically, the longer you stay alive and rack up kills and do objectives, the faster you’ll get your streaks out since there will be multipliers that come into play.

Here’s a handy table that shows the numbers for each kill and what the bonuses are for going on an actual streak:

Black Ops Cold War Scorestreaks Computation and Multipliers Explanation:

These numbers were also verified and tested by YouTuber Xclusive Ace which you can check out below:

Based on the data, and from the scorestreak values we already know, it seems Treyarch’s game design philosophy of having middle-tier players have some streaks is right on point, as I doubt bad players will be able to earn that much points in a single match to be able to call in a Chopper Gunner or something close to it.

Note that these values were taken from the private alpha. Based on Treyarch’s wording of it, they’ll be checking data and will be making adjustments on it as they see fit.

What are your thoughts on the new scorestreak system? Are you a fan of it or should Treyarch revert it to what it originally was?

Crystal Dynamics Acknowledges Marvel’s Avengers Stealth Loot Nerf Bug, Gives Compensation as Apology

Just yesterday, we reported that Crystal Dynamics has apparently rolled out a stealth nerf on loots in Marvel’s Avengers. However, we have some good news! The studio has acknowledged the Marvel’s Avengers stealth loot nerf and confirmed it’s a bug!

In addition to the the studio statement, players are also getting compensated via Upgrade Modules! Here’s what Lead Designer Philippe Therien had to say in a post on the game’s subreddit:

Hi all – thank you for your patience while we investigated issues concerning Faction missions awarding power 120 gear. This was in no way an intentional decision to nerf mission drops – as noted, our priority is very much on fixing bugs at the moment.

An error in the loot tables for Faction missions caused them to award high quality patterns consistently which was not intended. In fixing this error, the loot table for these missions was adjusted accidentally to a lower power than originally intended. To correct this, we are modifying the loot table for these missions so that they award gear up to power 130 rather than 120. The missions will also temporarily award Upgrade Modules as an apology for our error. Take advantage of it while you can!

Please note, Threat Sectors and Drop Zones will continue to award gear only up to power 120 as they have since launch.

This change should be live now.

The team at Crystal would like to thank you for reporting the issues, we will continue to monitor loot rewards and make more adjustments as needed.

Hopefully, we’ll get better loots in the coming game updates, as well as more rewards to further differentiate Drop Zones and other activities from one another.

Black Ops Cold War Map Voting Returns, Sniper Glint Confirmed

One of the smaller changes in last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer that long time fans didn’t particularly like is how map voting was taken out, and each lobby was broken up after each match. It seems that won’t be a problem in Black Ops Cold War, as a new screenshot shows Black Ops Cold War map voting will be available!

This was confirmed in a screenshot taken from content creator NoahJ’s stream of the Black Ops Cold War alpha (via CharlieIntel):

One thing coming back from Modern Warfare is the return of scope glint for sniper rifles! You can check out what it looks like (via ModernWarzone). YouTuber Xclusive Ace mentioned in a new video that it’s not as noticeable as it was in Modern Warfare though, so that’s either a good or bad thing depending on your playing preference.

Image

Let’s hope that Treyarch doesn’t take out map voting in the final version of the game given the content creators were playing on an alpha build.

Are you happy that map voting is returning in Black Ops Cold War or did you prefer how it was in Modern Warfare since it meant all maps were given a fair shake at being played?

In other Black Ops Cold War news, go check out how the time-to-kill (TTK) from the game compares to past entries in the franchise. Treyarch also explained how the new scorestreak system is meant to let mid-tier players participate “in the fun,” as oppposed to being built to reward bad players.

The Division 2 TU11 PTS Phase 2 Patch Notes Released

Those playing The Division 2 on PC and participating in the PTS (Public Test Server), Ubisoft has released The Division 2 TU11 (Title Update 11) Phase 2 patch notes! These are the changes we should expect to be released come September 22.

The Division 2 TU11 PTS Phase 2 Patch Notes:

The Summit

  • Added greater variety and diversity in objective types as you progress through The Summit.
  • Changed the Hostage revive timer to be longer, giving more leeway to reach them before the objective fails.
  • Increased the radius of the hack zone for EMP objectives.
  • Increased the amount of loot caches scattered around the building, which contents scale with difficulty.
  • Reduced number of directives on Legendary Floors 91-100. Now has 3 random directives (previously had 4).

Gameplay Changes

Gear Mods

  • Reverted the increase to status effect resistance mod values from 20% back down to 10%
Developer comment: After reviewing feedback and considering how the new generic gear mod slot system will impact the meta, we’ve decided to revert the changes to status effect resistance mods. The increase in flexibility towards achieving specific status effect immunity through generic gear mod slots will remain a net increase in player defense.
  • All “Improvised” crafted high-end gear now have generic mod slots, including gloves and knee-pads.

Named Items

  • Deathgrips: Increased the armor on kill from +5% to +10%.
  • The Mop: Increased the armor on kill from +5% to +10%.

Exotics

  • Memento: Lowered the bonus armor gained on trophy pick up from +20% to +10% per armor core but the bonus armor gained now stacks

Gear Sets

  • Eclipse Protocol
    • Lowered Indirect Transmission on kill status effect spread from 15m to 10m.
    • Proliferation now increases the range of Indirect Transmission from 10m to 15m.
    • Increased Symptom Aggravator damage amplification from 15% to 30%.

Talents

  • Obliterate: Increased the number of maximum stacks of total weapon damage from 15 to 25

PvP

  • Reduced the global PvP damage modifier from 0.35 to 0.3
  • Reverted previous changes to the pistol, rifle, and MMR PvP damage modifiers to pre-10.1 values (buff)
  • Small increase to shotgun PvP damage modifier to match global damage reduction and retain pre-TU11 TTK
  • Slight reduction to overall SMG PvP damage.

Developer comment: The above changes should result in a small increase to TTK at medium/close range, while keeping rifles and MMRs deadly at long ranges.

  • Crusader, Reflector, and Striker shields now take 33% more damage in PvP
  • Riot Foam Chem Launcher base ensnare duration lowered from 3s to 2s in PvP
  • Firewall specialization talent Fiery Response no longer applies a 5m burn on armor break in PvP
  • Eclipse Protocol’s Indirect Transmission on kill status effect spread lowered from 15m to 5m in PvP (7m with Proliferation chest talent)
  • Lady Death’s Breathe Free weapon damage amplification effect lowered from 75% to 50% in PvP
  • Headhunter buff duration lowered from 30s to 5s in PvP
  • Headhunter damage bonus lowered from 40% to 20% in PvP (25% with Perfect Headhunter)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue which allowed players to finish the 100th floor in The Summit without actually killing the enemies.
  • Fixed an issue causing only one type of enemy to spawn in The Summit on Legendary difficulty.
  • Fixed an issue causing enemies to shoot through walls on the 100th floor in The Summit.
  • Fixed an issue that caused you to be matched with a The Summit group when matchmaking for main missions.
  • Fixed an issue causing the SHD crate disappear briefly after completing the “Hold SHD Crate” objective in The Summit.
  • Fixed missing Specialization Tutorial when boosting a new character to level 30.
  • Fixed an issue which caused all trap variants to become stuck in the ceiling.

Same as with everything in the PTS, while we’re expecting all the changes here to make it into the final Title Update 11 patch, there are instances where some items are pulled from the official patch roll out, which could happen here, though we don’t expect that.

Make sure to read up on The Summit mode coming to Warlords of New York owners this September 22!

EPOS GSX 300 Review – Making Sound More Magical

The first new major EPOS audio product is finally here and we’ve been given the opportunity to go hands-on with it. With the promise of delivering absolute excellence when it comes to gaming audio, we put the GSX to the test to find out if it does just that. Will the GSX 300 offer the improved gaming immersion when it comes to audio, or will it fall flat?

Note: As with any product review, I do a week of testing to ensure the device is working properly.

From Ordinary to Extraordinary

You may be asking yourself, what is the GSX 300? Well, it’s an external sound card designed to improve the audio and microphones of existinging headsets. It essentially acts as a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), thus being able to supply any 3.5mm based headset with 7.1 virtual surround sound. A pretty awesome, and cheap method for those interested in upping their sound game without breaking the bank. In fact, the GSX is significantly cheaper than most DAC devices out there, making this one of the most consumer accessible devices on the market for 7.1 surround sound.

From a design perspective, the GSX 300 is sleek and simple. It’s a square box, built with some nice to the touch plastic, with a 360 degree dial on the front and a smart button that switches between standard and 7.1 sound. Unlike other DAC equipment, GSX 300 is really small, so it won’t be taking much room in whatever space you plan on using it in. As mentioned, it’s sleek design really makes it fit in any setting. There’s little to say about the overall aesthetic outside that it looks nice for what it is. The set-up is just as simple as well as it’s just a USB connection to your PC with inputs for 3.5mm sound and microphones.

In order to get the GSX 300 to function, you’ll need to download the Epos Gaming Suit software on PC.

From here you’ll have access to a variety of customization for both microphone and sound. We went ahead and tested out the 7.1 conversion, and to our surprise it actually worked. In our gaming sessions we found that audio sounded significantly better than running off the standard 2.0 sound, thus giving us a more immersive feel. Additionally, the software has some preset settings such as music, movie, and even an esport option. While they’re alright in terms of sound improvements, I found myself customizing the sound to my liking. yes, the gaming suit does allow you to fully customize the way sound goes in and out of the device. If I found the reverberation to be too high or low, the slider allowed me to change this as with all the other channels available in the software.

I loved the fact that everything was done in real-time, meaning whatever changes you made could be heard on the fly if you had audio player. This especially was useful during my chat sessions on discord as I was able to fine tune chat audio to my liking to make other player voices clearer and more focused. It truly did improve the sound where it mattered the most as once muffled out voices now became clearer and more distinct than before.

Headset’s microphone could also be adjusted, although from the feedback I received from others the changes were very minimal. It also obviously depends on the type of headset you are using. For this test we used the GSP 300, a set from Razor, and some simple cheap wired headphones. We found the result to be better with our GSP 300 as the headset was already well designed for audio, but improvements were seen with the others, so the GSX 300 is well suitable for devices outside of the EPOS family.

For those not familiar with the item, here are the key features of it:

Key features of the GSX 300

  • High-resolution audio
  • Easy to install external sound card delivering high resolution audio for acoustic clarity and audio realism
  • 7.1 Surround Sound through PC Gaming Suite
  • PC Gaming Suite with customizable 7.1 surround sound lets you set sound profiles for different games by balancing and focusing frequencies where they are most needed.
  • Intuitive design
  • Large manual volume dial for adjustments on the fly, customizable smart button to flip between sound modes or profiles and LED indicator to show which in on.
  • Synchronized with Windows 10® sound
  • Automatically synchronizes with Windows® so you can see how loud you are playing
  • Smart detector for 3.5mm jacks
  • Works with both single and double jack headsets

If you wish to learn more on the key features you can read up on them below. Interested in the GSX 300? You can purchase one directly from EPOS on their official product page.

Room for Some Minor Improvements

While the hardware of the GSX 300 is phenomenal in it’s performance, the software side of things could use a bit of work. Nothing major, but it’s odd to have a PC application that doesn’t allow you to minimize it or click it to popup over other apps. As you can see in the screenshot above, you can only exit out of it, which is an odd oversight. I’m a person who has probably 10 PC apps running at once for work related activities, so my screen gets rather over cumbersome quick. With the EPOS Gaming Suit running in the background, if I found myself needing to adjust sound I would have to minimize every other app in order to access the app. A pretty big annoyance, although we are sure this will be fixed quickly in a future update so the issue is only temporary. On the hardware side of things, we would recommend the next iteration to have more smart features located on the device itself and perhaps be more console friendly as it’s designed for the PC experience. It does work on console, but mostly as a volume controller to boost sound, so if you plan on getting this solely for your console you may want to wait for a newer version.

It may not offer the depth that a dedicated DAC device has, but for the budget price of $79.99, the GSX is easily a must own product. From our testing we found that it improved overall sound, giving us a deeper, richer gaming experience. And this here is the big important part, because it’s what EPOS sets out to do. Delivering on the promise of creating a more immersive experience through the magic of sound. It certainly has achieved that with the GSX 300, as I am foundly impressed with its offerings. Anyone looking to boost their gaming experience without going overboard with equipment may find the GSX 300 to be just what you’re looking for.

Pros:

  • Sleek design, easy to set-up.
  • 7.1 sound conversion is impressive.
  • Customization for sound and microphones to offer a more immersive experience.
  • Low cost, yet effective and strong in build quality.

Cons:

  • Software needs improvements, lacks minimizing. A temporary issue.
  • Does not work well on consoles.

The EPOS GSX 300 is out now for $79.99. A unit was provided by EPOS Audio for review. Product tested on PC and consoles. You can read MP1st’s review and scoring policy right here.

PS5 Showcase Event Announced for Sept. 16

Following the surprise reveals of the Xbox Series X (and Series S) prices and release date, it seems Sony is finally ready to let it all hang out, as a new PS5 showcase event — and not a State of Play — is to take place this September 16.

According to Sony, this will clock in at about 40 minutes. While it only mentions that we’ll get “one more look” at the games coming to PS5’s launch and beyond, it’s almost a certainty that we’ll finally get a price and release date for the PS5!

Fans can tune in on Twitch or YouTube on Wednesday, September 16 at 1 p.m. PDT/4 p.m. EDT/9 p.m. BST/10 p.m. CEST. We’ll have a stream up on the site same as always just in case anyone’s curious.

I’m still expecting a $399 and $499 price point for the all-digital and disc version respectively. Hopefully, it won’t get any higher than that. Of course, given Sony has pushed out a Ps5 registration site where people can get the chance to pre-order the thing kinda makes me wary that we’ll see enough stocks of this thing later this year.

What price are you expecting for the PS5? Do you think it will be released before or after the Xbox Series X?

Treyarch: Black Ops Cold War Scorestreaks Promotes “Fun” for Mid-Tier Players, Won’t Reward Bad Ones

With the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer reveal this week, one of the biggest changes ushered in by Treyarch is how the Black Ops Cold War scorestreaks system has been revamped, so that it does’t reset upon death.

This is a big departure from any Call of Duty game, as kill or scorestreaks that chains score/kills together to call in support or high-powered offensive streaks has long been a staple of the franchise, with the important aspect that you do not die while doing so. Over on Twitter, Call of Duty Game Designer Tony Flame offered his thoughts on the new scorestreak system and gives the studio’s reasoning behind it in answering fans.

Answering gamer questions and sentiments, Flame mentions that the new scorestreak system will let “middle-tier” playes to also participate in the fun, and isn’t a way to reward bad players.

Flame was then asked about giving objectives higher points for streaks, ad he answers that what we have now isn’t set in stone, and they’ll start reviewing data once everybody is playing to know what works.

On the subjective of competitive play, Flame adds that they are still developing the streaks system for that.

Speaking of streak, check out this quick look at the points value of some of the streaks available in the alpha.

You should also check out how the time-to-kill is in Black Ops Cold War in comparison to past Call of Duty games.

Rainbow Six Siege Next-Gen Will Be a Free Upgrade, Run at 4K & 120 Frames Per Second

Rainbow Six Siege players, you’ll be able to continue playing the game on your PS5 and Xbox Series X once it launches later this year, and at no extra cost! Ubisoft has announced that the Rainbow Six Siege next-gen upgrade will be free, and even mentioned some of its new features!

This was announced via the official Ubisoft Twitter account that also mentioned that the shooter will run at 4K resolution, and at 120 frames-per-second (fps)!

This is definitely good news, and makes the upgrade to next-gen less troublesome for Rainbow Six Siege fans. Can you imagine playing shooters at 120fps? That would be insane and make everything feel so much smoother.

In other Rainbow Six Siege news, Shadow Legacy made its way out this week, and this featured Sam Fisher as a new Operator! Check out the full content and patch notes of the title update here.

While this is good news for Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft’s looter shooter The Division 2 isn’t getting the same treatment. There will be no next-gen upgrade, though Ubisoft announced yesterday that the next-current version will be backwards compatible with the next-gen version.

Hopefully, free next-gen upgrades and new features will be the norm for games hopping over to next-gen.

Marvel’s Avengers Game Stealth Loot Nerf Is Real, Being Looked Into by Devs

Just a few days ago, Crystal Dynamics rolled out a patch for Marvel’s Avengers that included fixes for some nagging technical issues. Unfortunately, it also included a Marvel’s Avengers game stealth loot nerf that was immediately noticed by the community.

Over on the official subreddit, multiple threads have popped up of players stating that they are getting lower tier loot from specific missions. In this case, people are getting 120 power level items instead of the 130 they’re used to getting.

Whoa whoa whoa…tell me they did not nerf mission drops before fixing anything.

Dear Crystal Dynamic, using resources on nerfing our fun while your game is in its current state sends out the wrong signal
byu/Shark-Mode inPlayAvengers

Even YouTubers have been aware of this, with YouTuber KhrazeGaming posting a video about how this could potentially turn away the community from playing the game.

Bear in mind, there was no mention of any loot-specific changes in this week’s latest patch, which irritated the community more. However, all is not lost just yet. Over on the subreddit, Crystal Dynamics Lead Designer Philippe Therien commented that he’ll look into this issue, which suggests that this could be a bug rather than an intentional unannounced change (though that seems unlikely).

Hopefully, Crystal Dynamics sorts this one out ASAP. I mean, it’s not fun for a looter game to, y’know, take away your valuable loot given that’s a large part of why people continue playing in the first place, right?

Once we know more details about this Marvel’s Avengers game stealth loot nerf, we’ll let our readers know. In the meantime, if you’re not in the endgame yet, go check out this quick farming mission that nets you XP, gear, resources and more!

Black Ops Cold War Time to Kill Comparison Revealed; Official Intro Surfaces

While we got a heaping dose of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer with this week’s reveal. that’s not going to stop anytime soon. Thankfully, content creators have access to the private alpha, which gives us new data like the Black Ops Cold War time to kill is now known!

If you saw the gameplay of Black Ops Cold War, you might be wondering how the time-to-kill (TTK) feels in comparison to say, last year’s Modern Warfare. Well, fortunately we don’t have to guess, as YouTuber Xclusive Ace is on the case! In his latest video, Ace did a side-by-sde TTK values comparison of Black Ops 4, Modern Warfare 2019, and Black Ops Cold War’s alpha build.

It seems we’ll be getting a quicker TTK than Black Ops 4, which is in line with past Call of Duty games. However, if you prefer Modern Warfare’s super fast TTK, then you’ll be out of luck with Black Ops Cold War. That said, don’t forget that this is from an alpha build of the game, and as such, things can change.

In addition to that, we also got our first look at the Black Ops Cold War intro. This was posted by Reddit user Mathiasxd148- which you can watch below.

As you can see, Treyarch and Raven Software are showcased as the lead studios, with Beenox confirmed to be doing the PC version of the game, with High Moon Studios doing support duty. This is nothing new to the franchise, as Activision’s bevy of internal studios all pitch in every year to craft the annual shooter and its DLCs.

Black Ops Cold War will be released this November 13 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. There’s going to be a beta in October, with PS4 gamers getting first crack at it.
