DayZ Update 1.18 July 7 Hotfix Released

While gamers just got a patch for DayZ last week, Bohemia Interactive has released the DayZ update 1.18 July 7 hotfix, and it’s out now on consoles (PS4, Xbox One) and PC. The studio calls this version 1.08.153258. Check out the full patch notes below.

DayZ Update 1.18 July 7 patch notes:

Version: 1.08.153258

GAME

ADDED

  • Added: The damage state of the Fence / Watchtower parts is now visible in the hud (the dot next to the targets name)

FIXED

  • Fixed: Containers with liquid did not have their correct weight after filling
  • Fixed: Performance issues around bigger bases, which could also lead to client crashes

CHANGED

  • Tweaked: Lowered intensity of sun shafts

KNOWN ISSUES

  • The damaged states will not be displayed on the fences and watchtowers

That’s is, basically. No new content is included as expected. If you spot any gameplay-related changes not mentioned in the patch notes, let us know down below in the comments. We’ll be on the look out for any changes and fixes not mentioned as well.

FIFA 20 Update 1.23 July 7 Released, Brings Update #19 to Consoles

While PC players got FIFA 20 update #19 last week, console players should see the FIFA 20 update 1.23 July 7 patch out today for Update #19. This brings changes to FIFA Ultimate Team, and other fixes. Read on below for the full patch notes.

FIFA 20 Update 1.23 July 7 patch notes:

Hey FIFA Fans,

The latest Title Update for FIFA 20 is now available on PC and includes the change below.

FUT:

Made the following change:

  • Added the Special Quality Filter, a new feature that will be activated through a server release at a later date and time, and this activation will be announced on the @EAFIFADIRECT Twitter account.
  • The Special Quality Filter enables players to search for the exact Player Item rarity.
  • The Special Quality Filter is available in the Transfer Market, and in the Club tab of the Squad screen.
  • The Special Quality Filter can be accessed by hovering over the Quality tile when performing a search, followed by pressing your controller’s confirmation button.
    1. Known Issue: The Special Quality Filter incorrectly displays an option to search for Silver FUT Champions Items, an Item rarity that is not present in-game.

Addressed the following issue:

  • When selecting one of the first 7 Player Items in the search results, the Compare Price function on the Transfer Market was only displaying 1 page of Player Items.

As far as we’re aware, the FIFA 20 update 1.23 July 7 patch for consoles doesn’t add anything new aside from the same changes made to the PC patch. We’ll be on the lookout and update the post if we find any.

Path of Exile Update 1.52 July 6 Patch Notes, Addresses Harvest Improvements, and More

A new Path of Exile update has been released on console, addressing many of the recent crashes along with introducing other fixes and improvements. Players will see this revision as Path of Exile Update 1.52 (3.11.1).

Path of Exile Update 1.52

Console Specific

  • Updated NeverSink filters to version 7.9.3.
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur when identifying an item through the harvest crafting UI.

Harvest Improvements

  • Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4 and the Heart of the Grove monsters and bosses now have a chance based on their rarity, with higher-tier seeds having a higher chance, to drop a new plantable “seed”. This can be placed in the Sacred Grove and will affect planted seeds around it, granting nearby seeds additional properties on being Harvested.
  • When a Tier 2, Tier 3 or Tier 4 seed drops, there is a chance for an additional seed of the same type to drop and be allocated to a party member for each party member present.
  • The area around the entrance portal in the Sacred Grove now has stairs, creating 180 degrees of pathway.
  • ‘Ready’ notifications now display whether a given collector is ‘Partially Ready’ or ‘Fully Ready’.
  • Storage Tanks are now unlocked when your Raw Lifeforce plus any additional Condensed Lifeforce exceeds 250.
  • Added a confirmation warning when attempting to uproot fully-grown Tier 1 seeds as well as Tier 2 or higher seeds with any growth.
  • Adjusted the colours of planted seeds and Harvest art assets to help better distinguish them from one another.
  • Added text hovers over various Harvest Infrastructure to more clearly display what it is connected to.
  • Your progress towards respawning the Heart of the Grove in the Sacred Grove is now displayed in the Sacred Grove.
  • Namharim, Born of Night now becomes invisible during its Prowl skill.
  • Added additional preloading for the Tier 4 Harvest bosses and Heart of the Grove encounter.
  • Fixed a bug where the Tier 4 Harvest Bosses could endlessly spawn monsters during their immobile phase.
  • Fixed a bug where the displayed number of seeds in your Seed Stockpile didn’t update correctly after auto-planting seeds.
  • Fixed a bug where Oshabi could say multiple voice lines at once when auto-planting large amounts of seeds.
  • Fixed a bug where the Horticrafting Station’s minimap icon was visible from outside the Sacred Grove.
  • Fixed a bug where the Sacred Grove had the wrong icon in the World Map information panel.
  • Fixed a bug where the portal to the Sacred Grove could be placed in an inaccessible area while in the Port Map.
  • Fixed a bug causing some Harvest seeds to appear very bright when you entered the Sacred Grove.

Harvest Crafting Improvements

  • Doubled the likelihood of Tier 2 seeds dropping from Tier 1 Harvest monsters.
  • Adjusted the weightings of the Tier 1 seed outcomes such that the more desirable outcomes (remove a modifier, add a modifier, remove and then add a modifier) are significantly more common.
  • The growth times of Tier 1 seeds is now uniformly 3 growth cycles, with the exception of the rarest seeds: Wild Hatchling Seed, Vivid Thornweaver Seed and Primal Cleaveling Seed.
  • Wild Infestation Queen Bulbs, Vivid Devourer Bulbs, and Primal Reborn Bulbs can now only drop from level 68 or higher monsters.
  • The “Exchange a Resonator for a Fossil or vice versa. Rare outcomes are more likely with rare inputs” Harvest craft is now much more likely to give rarer outcomes based on rarer inputs.
  • Harvest Crafts are now sorted by their function, then by their cost.
  • Harvest Crafts can no longer be used on Itemised Beasts.
  • The use of the “Reforge a Rare item with Lucky modifier values, keeping all Prefixes (or Suffixes)” Harvest Craft is now prevented if it will be unable to change any modifiers.
  • Fixed a bug where the Scarab Harvest Crafts would consume a stack of Scarabs if that was the input, rather than just a single Scarab.
  • Fixed a bug where the “Sacrifice a Weapon or Armour to create a Ring with similar modifiers” Harvest Craft instead created an Amulet.
  • Fixed a bug where destroying a stored craft from the Horticrafting Station prevented further use of a connected Collector for Harvest Crafts.
  • Fixed a bug where the ‘Change a Divination Card into another random Divination Card’ didn’t work if a stack of Divination Cards was used. It will now just remove a single card from the stack and give you a random Divination Card.
  • Fixed a bug where the Harvest Crafts which changed a modifier from one element to another didn’t work on modifiers that were the first explicit modifier on an item.
  • Fixed a bug where Infused Zana Modifiers could be applied to Unique Maps.
  • Fixed a bug where certain steps of the Complete Harvest Encounters VI challenge were unable to be completed.
  • Fixed a bug which caused the “Upgrade a Magic item to a Rare item, adding X random modifiers” Harvest crafts to result in Rare items without a name.

Heart of the Grove Improvements

  • The Avatar of the Grove will no longer summon Primal Vipers.
  • Increased the area of effect of Sacred Ashes such that it can cover the entire area surrounded by Vine Walls.
  • The Sacred Ashes phase now lasts a maximum of 25 seconds.
  • Sacred Ashes ground effects are now removed when the Avatar of the Grove dies.
  • Fixed a bug where the Avatar of the Grove stopped performing actions if it became stunned.
  • Fixed a bug which allowed players to begin the Avatar of the Grove encounter in non-Map areas.
  • Fixed a bug where some of the monsters summoned by the Avatar of the Grove were lower level than intended.
  • Fixed a bug where the emerge sequence didn’t visibly resume correctly if you had entered the area after it had begun.

General Improvements

  • Medium and Large Cluster Jewels will now drop with an additional enchantment effect that grants them 1 and 2 Jewel sockets respectively. These replace the modifiers that previously granted additional Jewel sockets, which can no longer appear on Cluster Jewels.
  • Selling any existing Medium and Large Cluster Jewels without this new enchantment to a vendor will remove any existing Jewel socket modifiers and add the new socket enchantment. This does not include Unique Cluster Jewels.
  • When creating multiple Brands at once, excess Brands beyond the limit are now all removed at once.
  • Clarified that “You lose Rage 20% slower” only applies to natural Rage loss over time.
  • Clarified that the “x% increased Fire Damage” from Herald of Ash’s quality stat is dependent on having the Herald of Ash buff.
  • Clarified the description of Enduring Cry to make it clear that the buff grants Elemental Resistances, rather than all Resistances. This is solely a description update.
  • Elemental Focus Support can now support skills which inflict elemental ailments.
  • The “Grants Level 22 Abyssal Cry Skill” Shaper modifier on Belts now grants Level 22 Intimidating Cry Skill. Existing items are automatically affected by this change.
  • Added the Law of the Wilds unique Hellion’s Paw to the Unique Collection Tab.
  • Added art icons for many hideout decorations added in 3.11.0.
  • Disabled the Thaumaturgy Pillar hideout decoration from being sold by Masters. It will be re-enabled at a later date.
  • Fixed a bug where the Megalomaniac unique jewel could still generate various Cluster Jewel Notables which were disabled in 3.11.0 and was unable to generate newly added Cluster Jewel Notables.
  • Fixed a bug where new Cluster Jewel Notables were inheriting the bonuses that are only meant to apply to Small Passive Skills.
  • Fixed a bug where the walls of water in the Brine King encounters were dealing significantly more damage than intended if the Brine King was taking cold damage over time when the wall’s cold damage debuff was applied to the player.
  • Fixed a bug where the Witchfire Brew unique Stibnite Flask didn’t grant the Despair Curse Aura if you were immune to Curses.
  • Fixed a bug where Map Curses could be applied to you while you had either Hexproof or Curse Immunity if one of those conditions was removed from your character but the other was still present.
  • Fixed a bug where the “1% increased Chaos Damage per Level” modifier was accidentally removed from the Edge of Madness unique Etched Greatsword in 3.11.0. (Divines won’t fix existing items)
  • Fixed a bug when using the Supreme Ego keystone passive where an aura would retain the ‘50% more Effect on you’ after unallocating Supreme Ego.
  • Fixed a bug where the Skin of the Lords unique Simple Robe granted a Keystone named “Sacred Bastion”. This keystone is meant to be named Imbalanced Guard (as seen on the passive skill tree).
  • Fixed a bug where the “+25 to Maximum Rage while wielding a Sword” modifier from Rigwald’s Savagery unique Royal Axe didn’t work when using a One-hand Thrusting Sword.
  • Fixed an unintended change introduced in 3.11.0 causing the Xoph’s Nurture unique Citadel Bow to have its “x% increased Physical Damage” range lowered. (Divines won’t fix existing items)
  • Fixed a bug where the “Exerted Attacks deal 30% more Damage per previous Attack Exerted by this Warcry” stat from Seismic Cry didn’t show up in the skill’s tooltip.
  • Fixed a bug where General’s Cry removed all existing Mirage Warriors, even if they had not yet completed their attacks. This included persistent duration-based ground effects, such as Spikes from Earthshatter.
  • Fixed a bug where Mirage Warriors (created by General’s Cry) that used Dominating Blow could not summon Sentinels of Dominance.
  • Fixed a bug where Mirage Warriors, Mirage Chieftains and Mirage Saviours were unable to deal damage when you had allocated the Ancestral Bond keystone passive.
  • Fixed a bug where Warcries displayed a Cast Time in their tooltips, rather than Use Time.
  • Fixed a bug where, when using the Eternal Youth keystone passive, Life Recharge wouldn’t appear to begin when specific things that should cause it to begin occurred (although it actually did begin).
  • Fixed a bug where Purifying Flame would attempt to hit a target a second time if it had missed the first time due to the target dodging the spell.
  • Fixed a bug where Fortify Support could apply to some triggered skills, such as Combust from Infernal Cry.
  • Fixed a bug where the bonuses from Deadly Ailments Support didn’t show up in skill tooltips.
  • Fixed a bug where using the crafting bench could overwrite Fractured modifiers.
  • Fixed a bug causing the Rank 4 and Rank 5 Life as well as the Rank 1 and Rank 2 Block Crafting Recipe unlock locations to be inversed.
  • Fixed a rare bug where the minimap wouldn’t be rendered.
  • Fixed a bug where The Basilisk’s Stone Gaze skill could be interrupted by using Seismic Cry.
  • Fixed a rare bug where, when entering Dunes Map, you would spawn in the boss arena.
  • Fixed a bug causing Infused Beachhead to appear to have a slot in the Tier 16 section of the Map Stash Tab.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in 3.11.0 where The Karui Fortress couldn’t spawn Vaal Side Areas.
  • Fixed a bug where hovering over the Dexterity or Intelligence hovers on the passive skill tree always displayed the benefits of Strength.
  • Fixed a bug where Shadow characters weren’t holding the Dark Magic Weapon microtransaction in the correct place when applied to an axe.

Crash Fixes

  • Fixed a rare bug where trying to go to your Hideout or the Menagerie could fail to join but continue attempting to join indefinitely.
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur during the Janaar, the Omen encounter or the Avatar of the Grove encounter.
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur when viewing the Betrayal Syndicate board.
  • Fixed a rare instance crash when summoning Minions.
  • Fixed an instance crash that could occur when wearing the Abhorrent Interrogation unique Ambush Mitts.
  • Fixed an instance crash that could occur when using Raised Zombies.

That’s everything coming in Path of Exile Update 1.52. A rather beefy update if we say so ourselves, and hopefully it fixes the crash issue many are experiencing. If it does, let us know in the comments!

Xbox Games Showcase Schedule Announced for Later This Month

While Sony gave us a peek at next-gen gaming with the company’s PS5 games showcase last month, Microsoft is gearing up for another one, as the Xbox Games Showcase has been announced, and it’s happening this July 23 at 9 a.m. PT/12 noon ET!

Fans can watch it on YouTubeGaming, and it will be hosted by none other than Geoff Keighley. While it doesn’t say Xbox Series X games showcase, I’m going to go on a limb here and guess that Microsoft will be focusing on next-gen games to show off. One thing we do know that’s confirmed for it is the Summer Game Fest Xbox Demo Event that will let gamers play over 70 unreleased games in the comfort of their own home! Read up on details about that to know more.

Needless to say, we’ll have a stream link on the site once we can, since gaming fans won’t want to miss what Microsoft has to offer gamers in the future.

Speaking of games, it seems next-gen games will be priced at $70, and we have a new feature that talks about how it’ll affect gamers and studios.

Modern Warfare Merc Foregrip Buffs Movement Speed After Latest Patch

Just last week, Infinity Ward released the mid-season update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that brought in a new weapon, new multiplayer map and more. Apparently, it also included a Modern Warfare Merc foregrip buff that made movement speed faster when it’s equipped on a weapon!

This buff follows Infinity Ward’s stealth changes (undocumented changes) that have been present in almost every patch the developer has released for the game so far. In case you didn’t know, the Merc foregrip underbarrel attachment helps with recoil control and hipfire accuracy at the expense of slower ADS (aim down sight), and movement speed. It seems that after last week’s 1.23 update, Infinity Ward has not only taken out the movement speed penalty, but gave it a buff, even! Check out the official, in-game pros and cons of the attachment below.

YouTuber Xclusive Ace and Drift0r have both published videos showcasing the evidence that this Modern Warfare Merc foregrip buff is indeed real. Based on data, players can run four percent faster with the Merc foregrip equipped on any gun. Yes, that means you can add the Merc foregrip to assault rifles, SMGs (submachine guns), etc. and it will give you a four percent speed boost!

Here’s Ace’s rundown of the movement buff and penalties for the different foregrip attachments in the game:

And for those curious, this buff works in Call of Duty: Warzone too! Now, there’s no reason not to use the attachment given not only does it help with recoil and hipfire accuracy, it now adds a movement speed bonus as well. It’s unknown whether this was intentionally made by Infinity Ward or a bug that surfaced because of the weapon balancing pass they made in the patch.

For now though, go use the Merc foregrip in every gun you can, and thank us later.

Next-Gen Game Prices Possibly Rising: How It Might Affect You and the Industry

On the cusp of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, there’s been endless debate on what’s most important with “next-gen.” Is it faster load times? Better graphics? The increase in overall raw technical power that can soon rival a PC? While all pretty good answers, 2K announcing that NBA 2K21 will cost $69.99 on next-gen systems instead of $59.99 is a decision that could define this generation.

In 2005, Activision took a big leap and released Call of Duty 2 at $59.99, marking the start of the $59.99 price point. Financial experts in the industry estimated the price point would increase alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but publishers instead started releasing more DLC and experimenting with all sorts of special editions. These adjustments were a means to offset the steadily increase of costs to develop games. Former Sony president Shawn Layden explained in a recent interview at Gamelab Live (a global digital forum) on the current landscape of creating AAA games. Layden said that the cost of creating games has gone up “ten times” and the current AAA game model isn’t working. So yes, a price increase is long overdue and there should be plenty of benefits to reap from it, but that also doesn’t mean we could be in for a bumpy ride.

Taking a business approach, having the price for games increase to $69.99 will do wonders. While many see it as “only” a $10 markup on the micro-level, large publishers should see a significant revenue increase. With the added revenue, publishers would have the ability to create more jobs to avoid possible crunch periods in game development. Working game developers into the ground has been an ongoing problem in the industry, and if the added revenue from increasing game prices can help relieve that, or increase the wages of those developers, then we should fully support it.

You might be asking, “Okay, I understand increasing the price of games can potentially help game creators, but how does it help me?” Good question. Seeing that you’ll have to pay more money for something now than in the past typically doesn’t sit well with people. However, there is hope. Up until now, Sony and Microsoft have kept the price of the PS5 and Xbox Series X completely under wraps. Knowing that the landscape of game pricing is about to change and it’s safe to assume those two publishers factored this increase in their financial projections, what if the PS5 and Xbox Series X cost only $500? What about $400?

Sony does not want a repeat of the PS3, where it effectively priced much of its fans out with a $499/$599 price tag. It’s possible that the $10 increase in games might be enough for Sony and Microsoft to sell these consoles at a slight loss, knowing the money can be recouped through game sales. Offering the consoles at a more affordable price, we can practically guarantee sellouts for these consoles. That will ensure higher game sales of next-gen titles at the new $69.99 price point straight from the get-go. You win by getting a console that won’t cost a month of rent, and the publishers win with higher game sales.

As is the case with most good news, there’s usually something bad that follows shortly after. Raising the price of games to $69.99 will most certainly benefit larger publishers, but smaller ones might see rough times ahead. With the cost of creating games becoming more and more expensive, consumers already have to be somewhat picky when deciding what games to buy. A higher base price point unfortunately raises the possibility of some of these smaller publishers effectively shutting down or being bought. In 2018, Telltale Games shut down as a result of poor sales. Telltale created amazing narrative, choice-driven stories based on popular licenses, sold these games at less than the $59.99 price point, and still experienced poor sales. Lesser-known titles will slip under the radar more frequently, and because of that, more of these publishers could also shut down.

Ultimately, increasing the price of games is inevitable. Having this change occur alongside major console releases only makes sense, but publishers need to be smart about it. Consumers are not going to react kindly to a hike in games, even if inflation demanded an increase for years now. One way to ensure a smooth transition is to sell the PS5 and Xbox Series X at an affordable price. Allow consumers the financial flexibility to actually be in a position to buy next-gen games. Provide better wages for the talented individuals behind these games, make them feel wanted. Hopefully, publishers will be transparent and proactive about utilizing the revenue increase that’s sure to follow. Otherwise, people will feel slighted and think this was all a money grab to line the pockets of higher executives. Publishers have the power to paint themselves as heroes or be portrayed as villains.

Which will it be?

EA UFC 4 Reveal Coming This Weekend

Just last month, a listing for EA Sports UFC 4 popped online on the PlayStation Network, suggesting a reveal was coming soon. While we thought the EA UFC 4 reveal drop at EA Play 2020, that wasn’t the case.

It seems the EA UFC 4 reveal is set for this coming weekend on UFC 251! This was somewhat announced by the UFC themselves, as it posted a promo tweet regarding the event.

In addition to the announcement by the UFC, sports reporter Brian Mazique spoke in a video (via VGC) that mentioned boxers Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have agreed to appear in the MMA game as playable characters. This really shouldn’t come as a surprise, as the last game featured Bruce Lee and even Mike Tyson.

Mazique adds that UFC 4 (or EA Sports UFC 4, whichever EA calls it) will feature a career mode that ““isn’t drastically changed” from previous entries in the franchise, and this will feature on creating fighters and levelling them up.

EA Sports UFC 4 is expected to hit both current-gen and next-gen consoles. Once we have the full announcement, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

While we might not get a new Fight Night game anytime soon, at least Fury and Joshua will be in the game, right?

Report: Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 Bringing Big Map Changes

With Infinity Ward sneaking in Easter eggs alluding to another Call of Duty game in Call of Duty: Warzone’s map, it seems this is all part of a plan that will materialize in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5. Apparently, starting next season, the map will undergo a big change.

Accoring to “people involved with development,” some of the changes include a revamp of the map’s large football stadium to include an open interior, and the addition of a train filled with loot. Allegedly, this is part of an effort to make Verdansk more in line with this year’s Call of Duty game, which rumors have said will implement Warzone into it.

Moreover, the teases and other stuff dished out by Infinity Ward ties in to this, and will have this year’s Call of Duty reveal happen in Warzone — something which rumors have pointed out to before as well. The nuclear warhead found in Warzone will be used to trigger the map change in Warzone, and this will coincide with the announcement of this year’s Call of Duty game.

Important to note that this is a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, it does make sense if this turns out to be true. No word on when we’ll see Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, but chances are, it’ll be sometime this August.

Sony Can Build PS4 Consoles in 30 Seconds Through Automations

Have you ever wondered how PlayStation consoles are built? Well, so have we, and as it turns out the big secret has finally been uncovered, giving us our first look inside of one of Sony’s biggest factories.

The story, published by Nikkei, goes over specifications of the assembly line found in Kisarazu, Japan, the home base of the PlayStation production strategy team.

“If you keep watching them long enough, they will start to look like humans,” said one engineer. The look in his eye is gentle like a father watching over his children. Unlike large robots that lift heavy items, the delicate movements of compact robots resemble those of human arms and have surprising warmth. “Probably there is no other production site that uses this robot this efficiently,” an engineer told the invited members of Nikkei.

Just how efficient were these robots? Well, according to the details, a team composing of 32 robots could build a PS4 in just 30 seconds when lines were fully automated in 2018. This was accomplished with much trial and error, as many of the machinery are marked with memos indicating such errors. One of the difficulties highlighted was the folded ribbon flex cable that’s inside the PS4 case. While humans could perform this action in little to no time, it was a hard process to replicate with a machine. Of course, this was eventually solved and thus by 2018 Sony had opted for full robotic ran factories at select locations.

However, it would seem that this process did not stick for very long, as by the start of 2019 they had shifted towards a hybrid process, where human operations would include working with the console’s motherboard at the start of production, while also ensuring their packaging at the end. This decision was based on the fact that it yielded a higher return on investment.

The Kisarazu site has been producing PlayStation consoles since the first PlayStation launched in 1994. It has since then played a key role in Sony’s global console business as it’s the site used to achieve technological developments that get implemented in other factories.

Talk about fast! This is some very interesting stuff right here, and a great view of what goes on inside Sony’s production sites. No doubt with the PS5 gearing to launch this year, the Kisarazu site will continue to lead in work efficiency.

Destiny 2 Next Update Release Set for Bungie Day Next Week, and Here’s a Preview

Bungie will be celebrating Bungie Day next week on June 7 (7/7/2020), and while the studio has already mentioned that they are planning some “fun” stuff for Destiny 2 players, there’s also the Destiny 2 next update release date, which is set for Tuesday, and we have a preview of the changes incoming.

Destiny 2 next update release patch preview:

PATCH NOTE PREVIEW

Next Tuesday, we also have a patch going live in Destiny 2. Destiny 2 Update 2.9.1 will bring a slew of bug fixes to Season of Arrivals. Here are a few items to expect:
  • Contact Events
      • Fixed an issue where the “Heavy Hitters” Triumph was not progressing when defeating bosses.
      • Fixed an issue where players could collect and bank 15 motes prior to unlocking the appropriate Prismatic Recaster rank reward.
  • Contact Weapons
      • Fixed an issue where Cold Denial and Falling Guillotine didn’t offer two perks in the final column when unlocking the “Umbral Enhancement III” gift on the Prismatic Recaster.
      • Fixed an issue where Falling Guillotine could continue damaging enemies after the Heavy attack animation had completed.
  • Sleeper Catalyst
      • Fixed an issue where reissued Seraph weapons were not granting progress to Catalyst objectives.
  • Last Wish and Garden of Salvation
      • Updated gear to have Season of Arrivals Max Infusion Caps.
  • Weekly Vanguard Bounties
      • Removed Scorn, Cabal, Vex, and Fallen variations of Weekly Bounties from the Season of Arrivals pool.

Note that this is not the full patch notes, but just a preview of what’s coming next week.

As for Bungie Day, here’s what the studio had to share:

Bungie Day Fashion Show
It’s no secret, we have a thing for the color blue. Slap on your favorite blue shader, grab a screenshot of your Guardian out in the worlds of Destiny 2, and tweet @Bungie with the tag #BungieDayFashionShow. We’ll retweet the winners on Bungie Day proper, and grant them the “Levante Prize” emblem for their troubles.
Bungie Day Art Show
Fashion isn’t the only thing that’s on our minds. The artists of the Destiny community are some of the best, and we’re excited to see what you’ve got. Draw your Guardian, your favorite Vanguard, most feared raid boss, or whatever your heart desires that’s Destiny themed. Tweet @Bungie with the tag #BungieDayArtShow. Like the fashion show, we’ll retweet winners on Bungie Day and grant winners the “Aspect of Luminance” emblem.

Once the patch is live, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. In the meantime, go check out what Xur is selling this week, as well as what the rewards are in this week’s Trials of Osiris refresh.

Clocking in at just 470MB in size on PS4, don’t expect any new content in this one. Well, except maybe for one, and that’s Steve Rogers aka Captain America! Yep, the Super Soldier is now in the game — at least his outfit is.

Fortnite update 2.77 July 3 patch notes and changes:

According to Epic Games, this patch is for the PS4, and it’s to address party invites. Note that the official Trello board has the Party Assist issue marked as “in development” and we’ve included that bit below.

NBA 2K21 Cross-Progression Offered for MyTeam, Shared Virtual Currency Wallet Within Console Family

With 2K Games announcing the NBA 2K21 release date today, some might be wondering how will it work if they first play NBA 2K21 on current-gen, but decides to move to next-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X) platforms. Well, you need not worry, as NBA 2K21 cross-progression both for MyTeam, and even for your VC (Virtual Currency) has been confirmed.

2K Games announced in its press release that NBA 2K21 cross-progression  within the same console family (PS4 to PS5, Xbox One to Xbox Series X) will be part of MyTeam, so you can carry your progress from one platform to the next. This applies to VC as well, as players will have a “Shared VC Wallet” within the same console family. Here’s the full explanation from the press release.

While the next-generation version of NBA 2K21 is being built from the ground up for next-generation consoles, 2K is also introducing several initiatives to bridge the two versions of the game. NBA 2K21 will feature MyTEAM Cross-Progression and a Shared VC Wallet within the same console family (PS4 to PS5, Xbox One to Xbox Series X). MyTEAM Cross-Progression enables all MyTEAM Points, Tokens, cards and progress to be shared on both current and next-generation versions of NBA 2K21 in the same console family; similarly, the Shared VC Wallet means any earned or purchased VC is accessible across both current and next-generation versions of NBA 2K21 in the same console family. As shared earlier, players who are interested in picking up both versions of NBA 2K21 on either PlayStation or Xbox can check out the Mamba Forever Edition, which provides dual-access by providing purchasers with a copy of the standard edition of NBA 2K21 on the other generation at no additional cost, within the same console family.

Well, that’s welcome news, right? At least those who spend real-world money on VC can sleep easy knowing they can carry that over to whichever next-gen console they buy — provided its within the same console family, of course.

Don’t forget to check out the new trailers released this week featuring one for the current-gen cover athlete, and one for next-gen.
