Essential Glyphs Bundle:

A few months ago, we replaced the Random Mod Packs with Tenno-friendly Essential Mod Bundles designed to make these purchases clear and fair. Each Bundle came with an amazing design, and our lovely Tenno wanted these designs as in-game Glyphs. We agree! Now you can purchase the Essential Glyphs Bundle and equip these six powerful designs:

  • Essential Cold Glyph
  • Essential Critical Glyph
  • Essential Damage Glyph
  • Essential Electricity Glyph
  • Essential Heat Glyph
  • Essential Toxin Glyph

Additions:

  • Added the ability to view a list of items you own that a Riven fits into. This way you can know which stats you want, without having to flip-flop between the Arsenal to check.535ad7b7ae2e8f4998e41dd2ed281490.PNG
  • New Wukong Samadhi Glyph and Wukong Samadhi In Action Glyphs are available under the Profile > Glyph section for Platinum!
  • Added Ember, Loki, Rhino, and Ash’s Ability videos to their Arsenal diorama.
  • Themed Loadout Screens are here! This Arsenal screen has been completely redone to give you as much information about each loadout as possible on a single screen, while also providing new features like custom icons using any Glyph you own! We’ve gone from a single list with information only on hover to a complete presentation of all your Loadouts with the ability to favourite and more!

Augment Changes and Fixes:

Added numerous Warframe Ability Augment stats to the Ability Screen. We debuted this with Wukong’s rework, and you will now be able to directly see the Stat changes associated with Augments on the Abilities!

Reworked the following Augments:
If you checked out the linked Dev Workshop – you’ll know a bit of the method behind these small tweaks. We’re just pushing a bunch of Augments into a stronger direction. Please be aware this isn’t reflective of the entire thought process behind Augments overall (i.e some lesser use ones haven’t been buffed). While many responses to this have been to ‘simply add an Augment slot’, that is a way bigger conversation and choice beyond the micro-changes here.

Hysterical Assault – Hysteria Augment – Valkyr

  • Let invulnerability linger for half a second when aiming to prevent getting downed immediately in high-damage areas.
  • Increased Range.

Rising Storm – Blade Storm Augment – Ash

  • Attacks by clones will raise the combo counter.
  • Include a passive benefit to extend the combo counter by a duration.

Titanic Rumbler – Rumblers Augment – Atlas

  • Increase to damage and speed.
  • Re-triggering the power will activate the taunt, as well as cause a knockdown effect.

Hallowed Eruption – Hallowed Ground Augment – Oberon

  • Additional passive ability that adds 100% to Hallowed Ground duration.
  • Always applies radiation status on detonation.
  • Fixed Oberon’s Hallowed Eruption Augment causing a mid-air hovering casting animation.

Furious Javelin – Radial Javelin Augment – Excalibur

  • Increase duration and damage on the buff.

Tidal Impunity – Tidal Surge – Hydroid

  • Increase the duration of the immunity buff.

Magnetized Discharge – Magnetize Augment – Mag

  • Include a passive benefit that increases power range for this Ability only.

Muzzle Flash – Shooting Gallery Augment – Mesa

  • For kills made by a player (self or ally) with Shooting Gallery activated, generate a blinding AoE when threshold is met.

Explosive Legerdemain – Sleight of Hand Augment – Mirage

  • Increase damage and status chance when triggered.

Total Eclipse – Eclipse Augment – Mirage

  • Increase range on the buff to other players.

Piercing Roar – Roar Augment – Rhino

  • Allow Roar to be recast when equipped.
  • Increase debuff duration based on equipped Mods.
  • Generate a stagger effect on enemies when the Roar hits.

Contagion Cloud – Toxic Lash Augment – Saryn

  • Allow buff to activate when enemy is killed by damage over time effects.
  • General increase on range and damage.

Transistor Shield – Electric Shield Augment – Volt

  • No additional energy drain when a shield is picked up by another player.
  • Increase damage conversion %.

Target Fixation – Tail Wind Augment – Zephyr

  • Remove buff after 2 seconds of being on the ground, instead of immediately.
  • Damage increase per target hit.

Fireball Frenzy – Fireball Augment – Ember
Freeze Force – Freeze Augment – Frost
Smite Infusion – Smite Augment – Oberon
Venom Dose – Spores Augment – Saryn
Shock Trooper – Shock Augment – Volt

  • Holding the casting button will send out a wave (much like similar, expanding Warframe Abilities) giving the elemental buff to every player it touches, including the caster.

Sonic Fracture – Sonic Boom Augment – Banshee

  • Armor Reduction is applied even if Ragdoll fails.

Smoke Shadow – Smoke Screen Augment – Ash

  • Increased Range.

Piercing Navigator – Navigator Augment – Ivara

  • Added 3m Punch Through to Projectile.

Color Picker Changes:

  • You can now view your Palettes in a redesigned screen that allows for more convenient browsing of your options. The old single-column design took a long time to scroll, and the new two-column cleaner design is much more streamlined.
  • Random color now chooses across multiple palettes!
  • Any Legacy colors cannot be saved as favourite – this is to fix a bug that would prevent any and all customization saving.
  • Added 5 new ‘Favourite’ Color slots!
  • Added new ‘drag’ functionality to the Favourites grid so you can move color around!
  • Added focus sound to swatch grid, and select sound when toggling favorites!
    aa8efbebc2231812ce88961be65c9e24.PNG

Changes:

  • You can now Transfer to the Operator while Fishing/Conservation.
  • Upgrading a Relic while in a Void Fissure endless mission will now ask you if you wish to equip the upgraded Relic.
  • Any summoned allied Specters in a Nightmare mission will now have a reddish distorted glow to indicate that they have turned against you and you’ve made a huge mistake in trusting them.
  • Your chosen UI Theme is now applied to the Riven reroll screen!
  • Increased Atmo Systems drop by 1 quantity (from 4 to 5) across the board for the Profit-Taker Heists rewards to slightly reduce friction in ranking up in Fortuna.

  • Reduced chances of patrolling AI staring at a wall after reaching a dead end.
  • Replaced ‘Proc Chance’ with ‘Status Chance’ where needed (Explosive Legerdemain).
  • Updated Chroma’s Vex Armor ability description to include nearby Allies:
    • When Shields are hit, Chroma and nearby allies’ Armor grows stronger, when Health takes a hit, Weapon Damage increases.
  • Increased the drop rate of the Bloodshed Sigil from 1% to 3% from the Profit-Taker.
  • Changed the Nightwave ‘Silent Eliminator’ Act to clarify its requirement. It now reads:
    • Complete an Extermination mission with level 30 or higher enemies without triggering alarms.
  • Adjusted the holster position of Warfans, Polearms, Scythes and Staffs on Zephyr Prime.
  • Adjusted the Holster position of Sword and Shields on multiple Warframes so it is attached and rotated correctly.
  • Adjusted the default holster position of the Lenz Quiver so it sits closer to Warframe’s backs.
  • Adjusted the Emblem offset on the Helminth Charger, Drahk Pattern, and Underbrush Pattern Kubrows to fix them disappearing completely.
  • Improved navigation markers in the Infested Corpus ship to help players navigate between floors.
  • Removed hack doors from the Razorback boss tileset.
  • Made several optimizations to the UI, script time, particle effects, shader caches, and more!

Anthem Cataclysm Update for August 20 Now Live, Here Are the Changes

Freelancers, there’s a new Anthem Cataclysm update that should be live as you read this! There’s the Castle Kelrik event now live, as well as a bunch of other challenges. This is a server-side update, so don’t expect to download anyting.

Anthem Cataclysm Update – August 20

Cataclysm “Echoes of Reality” Changes:

“Castle Kelrik” Event  – We added Diana’s Landing last week, and now you’ll have access to the 5th arena before going to challenge Vara. The Castle Kelrik event, located in the “New Dawn” District on the Cataclysm map, will have you trying to solve the puzzle of the 4 rooms, each containing a Shaper Relic. The catch? Two of the rooms have a field preventing access. Figuring out how to get in is up to you and your team.

Inversions Changes – You’ll have a new set of Inversions to capitalize on for some extra buffs this week. Get ready to make use of some of those longer range weapons.

  • Precision Operator: Snipers and Marksman Rifles deal increased damage.
  • Immunity Pack: Ammo pickups grant brief immunity to damage.

Seasonal Store Refresh:

War Chest: Support – Remember how you had a Masterwork or Legendary in every javelin slot exceptyour Support Gear? Know how that Windwall or Bulwark Point would just get obliterated on GM3? Well, now you can finally get those higher end Support items! In addition to the Melee Weapon War Chests (which are staying available in the Seasonal Store), you’ll also be able to spend your earned Crystal currency on new War Chests containing a random javelin Support piece. As a reminder, these War Chests allow you to trade in Crystals for a Masterwork item (with achance to roll Legendary). To be clear, War Chests are also the only way to acquire the lvl 66 MW and lvl 80 LEG gear.

War Chest: Melee Weapon – (returning)

Fragmenter Armor Pack (Ranger Javelin)

Wrap: Crystal Sky

Painted: Quartz Gemstone

Graphic: Shattered Sea

Graphic: Greed’s Glisten

Decal: Amethyst Warp

Decal: Jade Warp

Decal: Ruby Warp

Arrival Emote: Entry Roar (Colossus Javelin)

Emote: Just… Stop.

Daily Cataclysm Challenge:

Daily Cataclysm Arenas Challenge: Support War Chest – These challenges granted a Gear piece in week two, and now they will reward you with a Support piece (Masterwork with a chance to be Legendary) here in the Week 3 update. These can be repeated daily, so… take your vitamins and do your Dailies. (Since these are technically War Chests as well, they also roll as 66 or 80.)

  • Power of the Storm (Daily) – Complete 3 Cataclysm arenas using the Storm javelin and be rewarded with one Storm Support piece War Chest.
  • Heart of the Ranger (Daily) – Complete 3 Cataclysm arenas using the Ranger javelin and be rewarded with one Ranger Support piece War Chest.
  • Strength of the Colossus (Daily) – Complete 3 Cataclysm arenas using the Colossus javelin and be rewarded with one Colossus Support piece War Chest.
  • Speed of the Interceptor (Daily) – Complete 3 Cataclysm arenas using the Interceptor javelin and be rewarded with one Interceptor Support piece War Chest.

There’s a leaderboard refresh coming tomorrow as well, which we’ll post once it’s live.

Bethesda has released a new Fallout 76 update, and it’s a big one! This one brings in Vault 94, Nuclear Winter’s Choose Your Perks system and so much more! There are also gameplay fixes included as well. Check out the full Fallout 76 update 1.26 patch notes below! Note that this is also called Fallout 76 patch 12.

Clocking in at 7GB on consoles, and 2GB on PC, check out the full Fallout 76 update 1.26 patch notes below.

Fallout 76 update 1.26 patch notes:

Patch Highlights

  • Prepare to Storm Vault 94: Assemble your team and get ready to take on our first instanced Vault Raid! Complete missions to find out what happened to Vault 94’s Dwellers and claim exciting rewards, like Plans to craft unique new Vault Armor sets.
    • Please Note: Vault 94 will open first on PC on August 20. We are currently planning to open Vault 94 on consoles in the next few days, provided there are no significant issues discovered following PC release.
  • Flaunt Your Collection: Show off the gear you’ve collected to everyone who visits your C.A.M.P. by constructing a few Display Cases.
  • Fill Your Pockets: We’ve increased the maximum number of Caps each character can hold to 30,000.
  • Rest Like You Mean It: Furniture, Instruments, and drinking from open water sources now require a long press so you don’t perform these actions by accident.
  • (Nuclear Winter) Choose Your Perks: Duplicate Perk Cards now award Overseer Tickets, which you can use to unlock Perk Cards you don’t already own.
  • (Nuclear Winter) Balance Changes: We’ve implemented a variety of balance and design updates for many Weapons and other items in Nuclear Winter.

New Vault Raid: Vault 94

  • The opening of Vault 94 marks the arrival of our first Vault Raid, which is a challenging dungeon experience designed to be completed by a team of up to four level 50+ characters.
    • Vault 94 utilizes instancing technology, which will prevent players who are not on your team from affecting or interrupting your team’s experience.
    • Please note: We are currently planning to open Vault 94 first on PC starting today, August 20. If Vault Raids on PC run smoothly over the next couple of days, we will then open the Vault for consoles. If significant issues are discovered, we may further delay console release or disable the Raid on PC until we’ve implemented the necessary fixes.
  • Tune in to begin: Start a Vault Raid by listening to the Vault 94 Emergency Broadcast radio station.
  • Three missions to complete: Vault 94 features three different missions: Dead in the Water, Meltdown, and Washout.
    • Each mission lasts for one week, repeats every three weeks, and only one mission at a time will be available for play.
    • Vault 94 will become temporarily inaccessible for around three hours when one mission rotates to the next each week.
  • Three difficulty modes: You can choose Novice, Standard, or Expert mode every time you play a mission.
    • Novice mode is untimed. Standard and Expert mode have quest timers and feature more difficult encounters. More difficult modes also award better loot and more XP.
    • If time runs out or your entire team is downed, you will need to start the mission over.
  • Claim new rewards: Complete Vault 94 missions to earn XP, Caps, Improved Repair Kits, Legendary Scrips, crafting materials, and items, like Weapons, Armor, and Plans.
    • Completing a mission on any difficulty will also award Vault 94 Steel, which is used to craft unique new Vault Armor sets, which grant special bonuses to the wearer.
    • Vault Armor sets are awarded via Plans by completing Standard or Expert mode missions. Vault Armor can be crafted at Armor Workbenches.
    • Vault 94 Steel, Vault Armor, and Vault Armor Plans cannot be dropped, traded, or sold.
    • Vault mission rewards can be earned once per difficulty mode, per mission, per day.
  • Read our recent deep dive article on Fallout.com for even more details about Vault 94.

C.A.M.P. Display Cases

  • Display Cases are new C.A.M.P. objects that you can use to show off the Weapons, Magazines, Bobbleheads, and other items you’ve collected.
    • Use the new “Displays” tab in the C.A.M.P. Build menu found between “Stash Boxes” and “Floor Décor” to construct a variety of different displays.
  • Once built, you can assign items to your Displays directly from your Stash.
    • Items you assign will remain in the Stash, and a new icon will appear next to their names to indicate which items in the list are currently on display.
    • You can place up to 30 Displays at once, and each type of Display has a maximum number of items that can be assign to it.
  • Read our recent article on Fallout.com to learn more about Display Cases.

General

  • Atomic Shop: A standee has been added to the Berkeley Springs Train Station that can be activated to visit the Atomic Shop while playing in an Adventure or Survival Mode world.
  • Caps: Increased the maximum number of Caps per character from 25,000 to 30,000.
  • Grafton: The Grafton Fast Travel Point has been moved farther from the Grafton Train Station across the city’s east bridge.

Items

  • Armor: All Enclave Scout Armor mods are always available for purchase at the Enclave Armory.
  • Ammo: Flamer Fuel can now be crafted using the Tinker’s Workbench.
  • Ammo: Doubled the Ultracite Ammo produced by all Ultracite Ammo Recipes and increased the non-Flux ingredient costs by roughly 50%.
  • Junk: Burnt Books and Magazines can now be scrapped and produce 1 Raw Cloth.
  • Power Armor: Jetpack Mods have been added for Ultracite and Raider Power Armor.
  • Weapons: Recon Scopes can no longer be used to mark other players.

Perk Cards

  • Perk Card Packs: No longer award Perk Cards that only have a single rank.
    • Developer Note: This change is intended to safeguard against players receiving duplicate Perk Cards that cannot be ranked up. Specifically, the following Cards will no longer appear in Perk Card Packs: Aquaboy/Aquagirl, Awareness, Chemist, Curator, Dry Nurse, Escape Artist, Field Surgeon, Fortune Finder, Good Doggy, Green Thumb, Hacker, Expert Hacker, Master Hacker, Healing Hands, Last Laugh, Light Footed, Night Eyes, Pannapictagraphist, Percepti-bobble, Picklock, Expert Picklock, Master Picklock, Professional Drinker, Quack Surgeon, Radicool, Scrapper, Strange in Numbers, Travel Agent, and Woodchucker.

Quests and Events

Charleston Capitol Courthouse
  • We’ve reworked the interior layout and design of the Charleston Capitol Courthouse to better support the Key to the Past questline.
    • Key to the Past objectives in the Courthouse have not changed, but the updated space should provide a richer experience for those playing through the quest.
    • Several new Notes have been added, providing more lore to be discovered.
  • The Courthouse and the main Capitol Building have been split into two different interior cells, and enemy level ranges have been adjusted in both locations:
    • The Courthouse level range now matches the Top of the World.
    • The Capitol Building level range now matches The Mire region.
  • Please Note: The “Office of the Registrar” that must be accessed during the Recruitment Blues questline has been relocated from the Courthouse to the main Capitol Building
Morgantown Airport
  • We’ve made significant updates to Morgantown Airport’s exterior to further improve on early game questing experiences for new players.
    • Encounters in this area have been reworked to offer better combat experiences.
    • The Medical Hut has received layout and design updates to better support the Final Departure quest.
    • The Tentative Plans and Safe for Work Quests are now given by a Terminal located across from the Medical Hut.
    • The “Advanced Responder Training” entry has been removed from the Airport’s interior Terminal and the objective now appears automatically after completing Tentative Plans.
Additional Quest and Event Updates
  • Collision Course: This Event no longer begins automatically when players enter the event area. Instead, players must choose to start Collision Course by firing a Flare from a new mortar that has been added to the Event location.
    • We’ve also made some consistency updates to the Collision Course objectives and improved the Vertibot’s pathing and delivery method when it drops off its cargo at the end of the Event.
  • Daily Quests: All Daily Quests now persist when logging out and back in. Additionally, some Dailies checkpoint your progress to make it easier to resume where you left off.
    • We’ve also substantially increased the Caps and XP awarded by many Daily Quests. Dailies are meant to be something fun to do every day, so the rewards have been increased to make them more enticing to complete.
    • Please Note: We are currently aware of an issue that prevents some Daily Quests in The Mire region from starting again after the first time you complete them. We are investigating and plan to address this in an upcoming update.

Sound

  • Music: The existing music in the Atomic Shop has been replaced with three new tracks.

User Interface

  • Press and Hold Activators: Players must now hold down the “Activate” button to enter Furniture, start playing an Instrument, or to drink from an open water source. This has been implemented to reduce the likelihood of performing these actions by accident.
  • Quest Marker Descriptions: Quest markers that appear in the world now display objective text for the Quests they belong to.
    • You can enable or disable these objective descriptions, or adjust their display distance, using in the Display Settings menu.
  • Throwable Weapons Counter: The number of throwable weapons (grenades, mines, throwing knives, etc) the player has equipped now temporarily appears when un-holstering a weapon, or reloading ranged weapons, and disappears immediately when holstering a weapon.

Nuclear Winter Design Changes

Choose Your Perks System

  • In response to community feedback, we’ve added the Choose Your Perks system to Nuclear Winter, which will give you more freedom to decide which Perk Cards you’d like to unlock.
    • Duplicate Perk Cards that you earn from Perk Card Packs now award a currency called Overseer Tickets.
    • Overseer Tickets can be redeemed in the Perk Menu to purchase Perk Cards of your choice that you do not already own.
    • The number of Overseer Tickets needed to unlock new Perk Cards varies from card to card.
  • Additionally, Perk Card Packs are now awarded at each new Overseer Rank you reach, rather than at varying intervals.
    • Perk Packs will be awarded retroactively for Overseer Ranks players reached prior to this change. These Perk Packs will be unlocked the next time the player ranks up.
  • Head to Fallout.com to learn more about these changes directly from ZAX!

Design and Balance

General
  • Terminals: The “Request Stimpak” Terminal option has been reworked and renamed “Request Aid Package”
    • Choosing this option now provides 3 Stimpaks, 1 Super Stimpak, 2 RadAway, and a random Serum. Previously, this option granted 4 Stimpaks or 2 Super Stimpaks.
    • Developer Note: Previously, this Terminal option was not as desirable as the others. Increasing how much Aid you receive and adding in RadAway and a Serum greatly increases the value of this choice. This also helps to boost the availability of RadAway.
  • Vault 51: Rebalanced the Overseer Rank requirements to access certain areas within Vault 51.
Items
  • Fury: No longer applies a damage bonus to fist weapons or unarmed attacks.
  • RadAway: Greatly increased the effectiveness of RadAway.
    • Developer Note: RadAway wasn’t as effective as it should be for how rare it is, so we’ve greatly increased its effect.
  • Quick Kits: Added a Staircase Quick Kit that you can use to traverse steep terrain or gain the high ground.
Weapons
  • Weapon Weights: Rebalanced weights of ranged weapons.
    • Developer Note: Weapon weights were inconsistent, and it was sometimes hard to tell exactly what was weighing you down the most. We’ve changed ranged weapon weight values to streamline them. Ranged weapon weights generally follow these principles:
    • Pistols: 5 lbs
    • Rifles, Shotguns, and Submachine Guns: 10 lbs
    • Heavy Weapons: 20 – 30 lbs
  • Automatic RAD Rifle: Slightly reduced recoil when firing the Automatic RAD Rifle.
  • Automatic Handmade Rifle: Increased the Ammo spawned with the weapon from 60 to 90.
  • Automatic Assault Rifle: Increased the Ammo spawned with the weapon from 60 to 90.
    • Developer Note: The Automatic Handmade and Assault Rifles are the only two weapons that use the 5.56 ammo type. We wanted to make sure players could actually use these weapons for more than a fight or two, since this ammo is rarer than others.
  • Combat Sniper Rifle: Reduced the Combat Sniper Rifle’s ammo capacity from 10 to 8.
  • Gatling Gun: Reduced the Gatling Gun’s accuracy at long range.
  • Lever Action Rifle: Increased the Lever Action Rifle’s reload speed and increased Ammo capacity from 5 to 8.
    • Developer Note: The basic Lever Action Rifle was underperforming compared to other weapons in its tier. These changes will help make it a more viable choice.
  • Minigun: Reduced the Minigun’s reload speed.
  • Tesla Rifle: Greatly reduced the Tesla Rifle’s area of effect range.
    • Developer Note: The Tesla gun’s AoE attack was too powerful and too lenient, which made playing against it unfun. Reducing its AoE range will bring its power back down to a more manageable level.

User Interface

  • Match Summary: Added more visual fanfare for second and third place teams on match summary screens.
  • Perk Menu: Players can remain on the same screen when opening Perk Card Packs to open them more quickly.

  • Gulpers: Fixed an issue causing Gulpers to regenerate Health during combat.
  • Liberators: Can no longer turn into Goo Piles when destroyed.
  • Radtoads: Now have a more diverse pool of possible loot drops and have greater odds of awarding more loot the higher level they are.
  • Radtoads: Egg mines placed by a Radtoad can now be disarmed.
Items
  • Loot: 2- and 3-star Legendary melee weapons that drop as loot no longer always spawn with the “+50% Limb Damage” attribute.

  • Treasure Maps: Corrected the title of Ash Heap Treasure Map #02, which was previously listed as #07.
  • Weapons: The Furious Legendary Weapon attribute now correctly applies increased damage output on consecutive hits against the same target.
Mutations
  • Chameleon: Fixed an issue that could prevent the Stealth effect granted by the Chameleon Mutation from displaying correctly to other players.

  • Performance: Implemented an improvement for server performance.
Quests and Events
  • It’s a Trap: Fixed an issue that could prevent a Scorchbeast from reaching the Event area in The Mire.
  • Mission: Countdown: Players now correctly earn experience after completing each section of each Missile Silo, subject to the once-per-day Mission Quest limit.
  • The Order of the Tadpole: Trumpet sound effects at Camp Lewis now only play until the player speaks to Scout Leader Jaggy for the first time, and no longer play continuously.
  • Trick or Treat: Fixed an issue that could prevent progress from being saved correctly during the Trick or Treat Daily Quest.
  • Tadpole Swimming Test: Players now receive a quest marker instructing them where to find a Swimsuit if they attempted to start the Swimming Test without one.

Streets of Rage 4 Platforms and New Character Revealed in New Trailer

In case you didn’t know, old-school brawler Streets of Rage is making a comeback with Streets of Rage 4. In a press release, Dotemu announced the Streets of Rage 4 platforms, and even showed off a new character just in time for gamescom!

In case you didn’t see the end of the trailer, Streets of Rage 4 will punch its way out onto the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

As for the new character, a new female fighter has entered the roster and she’s Cherry Hunter, daughter of Adam hunter from the original Streets of Rage!

Trained by her father and Axel, Cherry learned self-defense from a young age. Her interest in following in her father’s footsteps and becoming a cop soon faded out, replaced by her love of music. Nowadays, she plays with her electro progressive rock band in some of the most dangerous places in Wood Oak City. She may look young but make no mistake – she is a seasoned veteran of kicking ass and taking names.

In the trailer, gamers can also see some of the levels they’ll be kicking ass in once the game launches sometime next year. There are urban rooftops, airport hangars, sewers and more.

Borderlands 3 Circle of Slaughter and Proving Grounds Challenge Content Announced

If you’re looking forward to more ways to challenge yourself in Borderlands 3, Gearbox Software has announced some of the late game content players can look forward to in the game. There’s the return of Borderlands 3 Circle of Slaughter, and the Proving Grounds.

Borderlands 3 Circle of Slaughter

The Circle of Slaughter is returning in Borderlands 3! During your trek across the solar system, players will find areans sponsored by weapon manufacturer, Torgue. Signing up to these events means it’s do or die; if you’re downed and no one’s around to revive you, your run is officially over and that’s it! No loot to gain for losers, sadly. There are five rounds of multiple waves each, so teamwork is key.

Borderlands 3 Proving Grounds

Later on in the game, players will be allowed to take part in the Proving Grounds, which are timed gauntlets that have you racing against the clock, tasking you to beat enemies, and even taking on a boss in 30 minutes or less. Beating these gauntlets quickly and being more efficient yields better rewards. There are even bonus objectives in these challenges (like not dying, finding and eliminating a specific enemy, etc.) that when completed, grants even better loot!

Not bad, right? Now you know some of the challenges that await you even before you’ve hit the end of the game.

For more on Borderlands 3, go check out this official video guide on the game where we’re given a primer on vehicles, the story, enemies and more.

Remnant: From the Ashes Day One Update Detailed

The Remnant From the Ashes day one update has just been dispatched on the PlayStation 4, here are the official details and file size.

The day one patch, or patches will weight approximately 4GB and the notes are rather small, which you can view below.

Version 1.01 + Version 1.02

  • Content update
  • Bug Fixes

Version 1.02 was dispatched a day ago, although not notes were supplied on the update page, and it still only just lists 1.01 in the history. It’s not known what bugs were fixed, though on the PC side of things these are the fixes listed

PC Build 214185

  • MISC: Fixed issue with Survivor Bag
  • MISC: Fixed loot drop issue when host was dead/spectating which prevented players from receiving rewards (progression blocker)

The “Content Update” isn’t directly stated in the patch notes, though we may have gotten confirmation via Twitter user Megabug7 who verified that Pre-order bonuses are now showing up for those who have pre-ordered the title.

We ourselves tried to verify if the content was showing up, however because we received a review copy the bonuses weren’t being listed due to us not pre-ordering the title.

This is somewhat a little bit of a surprise, because it may in fact indicate that a vast majority of PlayStation users may miss out on the pre-order armor bonus, since the software was removed from the PlayStation Network for pre-ordering. We even double checked the games information, which will display any installed add-ons for said specific titles and no indication of the add-ons showed on the screen either.

Because the game is digital only, the update will be downloaded as one file with the game game if it hasn’t downloaded yet already, bringing the total size from 30GB to 34GB.

Remnant: From The Ashes is officially out on August 20 for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Those who pre-ordered on PC and Xbox have already gotten a head start as the title became available this past weekend.

Sony Buys Ratchet & Clank/Spider-Man Developer Insomniac Games

Amid all the gamescom announcements and reveals, Sony quite possibly pulled off the biggest news and they’re not even at the event! Today, Sony has now acquired Insomniac Games! Yes, the studio behind Marvel’s Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank and more, is now a first-party studio.

No word on how much the acquisition cost Sony, but moving forward, don’t expect games from Insomniac to be available anywhere else (Sunset Overdrive says goodbye). Founded in 1994, Insomniac remained as an independent developer for the past 25 years, even if a lot of people assumed they were a first-party studio given their work on the Ratchet & Clank, Resistance franchises.

This is definitely good news for PlayStation fans, and for Insomniac, it gives them a partner they’re familiar with.

Now, let’s go have that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, alright?

New Death Stranding Gameplay & Videos Released, Geoff Keighley Confirmed as a Character

Gamescom 2019 has finally kicked off, and as previously teased some brand-new Death Stranding Gameplay has been released.

After teasing it, gamescom opening night host, Geoff Keighley and legendary game creator, Hideo Kojima took to the stage to debut some brand-new Death Stranding gameplay, giving us our first “true” look at the title. In the footage, which you can watch below, we get nearly full six-minutes of fresh scenes and gameplay mixed together. Go ahead, watch it, it’s pretty good! Though if you are like many out there, and want to keep keep as far away from any potential spoilers, then we suggest you skip out on this.

Additional videos were also posted centered around some of the characters, similar to the Heartman spotlight

Margaret Qualley character spotlight video, Mama. Her baby was born on the other side, not in the current living world. She has a sad background where she can’t move due to the connection she has with her baby.

The next one will focus around Del Toro’s character, Deadman and a explanation of the bridge baby.

a

We have seen some gameplay in previous trailers, though nothing of this caliber, which is why we mention it’s our true first look. We have to say, each time we see Death Stranding it looks more and more awesome, and now that we have this much gameplay we have a far better understanding of what type of game this will be. It’s certainly been a common complaint for many out there in the community as for the most part, Death Stranding has remained shrouded in mystery. It certainly been a key component in Kojima’s marketing as for nearly all showings in the past years, Kojima has attempted to make the title as ambiguous as possible.

Death Stranding will be out November 8 of this year, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The title has been confirmed to have some form of online multiplayer, although it has been stated that it will offer an “asynchronous” experience meaning players will never cross paths with one another but instead work with each other by being able to send one another supplies, share safe houses, and even see where other players have been. So it’s definitely not going to be your traditional co-op experience and more than likely won’t feature any kind of Metal gear Online-inspired PvP multiplayer.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Alpha Announced Exclusively for PS4, Starts August 23

It seems the rumors that have cropped up this weekend regarding a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare alpha is indeed true! Using gamescom as the launching point for this special announcement teased since last week, the Modern Warfare alpha schedule has finally been announced by Infinity Ward, and it’ll be exclusively available on the PS4 this month.

The Modern Warfare alpha announced today is open to everyone who owns a PS4, and below, is the complete schedule.

Modern Warfare alpha schedule (PS4):

Starts: August 23

Ends: August 25

Mode: Gunfight

PlayStation Plus NOT required

This alpha test will solely be focused around Gunfight, the new 2v2  game mode that the team revealed early this year. It’ll feature five playable maps along with a variety of weapons to test out.

Xbox and PC players will unfortunately have to wait until next month to get their hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as that is when the betais slated to release. No details as to what modes the September beta will have, but it will in the very least demonstrate how cross play works between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The full schedule of next month’s beta can be found below. Note that for the Early Access beta, you need to have pre-ordered the game in order to join.

Weekend 1 – PlayStation 4 Beta Exclusive:

September 12th to September 13th: PS4 Early Access
September 14th to September 16th: PS4 Open Beta

Weekend 2: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Blizzard Battle.net:

September 19th to September 20th: Early Access on Xbox One*, and PC*. Open Beta on PS4
September 21st to September 23rd: Open Beta on PS4, Xbox One, and PC

Due to the marketing rights agreement between Sony and Activision for Call of Duty titles, expect the PS4 to get the beta a week early or just be available for more days. If you have more questions about the upcoming beta, I suggest checking out this beta FAQ posted by Activision.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches October 25 on the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Story Trailer Reminds Us the Vex Are Coming

During today’s gamescom Opening Night show, Bungie unveiled the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep story trailer, which gives us a peek at the enemies we’ll face in the upcoming expansion, the Vex.

While the Vex might not be that terrifying, I’m sure Bungie will find a way to make it work somehow.

In other Shadowkeep news, the expansion is listed to weigh in at 165GB, though that might not be 100 percent accurate. Check out the changes coming to Armor 2.0 here, as explained by Bungie.

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep will be out this October 1 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Here’s why it got delayed.

Predator: Hunting Grounds Gameplay Trailer Revealed

As promised, our first look at Predator Hunting Grounds gameplay trailer was finally aired during the gamescom convention, giving us our first true look at the game. You can watch the official gamescoms gameplay trailer down below. We will have more in-depth breakdown of the trailer up later this week so be on the look out for that.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is being developed by Illfonic, most recently known for their work on the Kickstarter project, Friday the 13th: The Game. Like Friday The 13th, Predator: Hunting Grounds will be an online player-versus-player  (PvP) shooter that features a asymmetrical gameplay structure. Description from the website:

Predator: Hunting Grounds is an immersive asymmetrical shooter set in remote areas around the world, where the Predator stalks the most challenging prey. Play as a member of an elite Fireteam and complete paramilitary operations before the Predator finds you. Or, play as the Predator to hunt the most worthy prey, choosing from your vast array of deadly alien tech to collect your trophies, one by one.

The Predator made its original film debut in 1987 “Predator”, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger leading a group of highly trained professional mercenaries as they’re tasked with a rescue operation. Of course things quickly go south as the team discovers that they’re not the only ones out in the jungle, as members are slowly killed off one by one in extremely brutal and gory ways. An instant classic for its time that eventually spawned multiple sequels and spin-offs. Its a film that we highly recommend everyone to watch, and personally its one of my all time top 80’s action film.

Judging from the gameplay alone, Illfonic is taking a ton of inspiration from the original film, while also incorporating their own twist to the title. I’m certainly excited by what I saw and hopefully this ends up being the Predator game that fans have so hungrily desired.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is due to hit next year, exclusively on the PlayStation 4. We will be sure to cover all things related to the title as more news is released.

Need for Speed Heat Gameplay Drags Its Way Out

With the Need for Speed Heat reveal taking place just last week and mostly just rendered footage, a lot of people (including me) expected Need for Speed Heat gameplay to make its way out at gamescom, which starts today. Today, EA did just that with a new Need for Speed Heat gameplay trailer released just for gamescom 2019!

Drive into your first adrenaline-fueled look at gameplay for Need for Speed™ Heat, a vibrant street-racer where daytime is a bright sunny, urban environment and night a dangerous neon playground. Turn the key. Burn all limits.

As you can see, we can customize our cars, pair with friends so you don’t need to ride alone. You can personalize your driver’s avatar, which is also a nice touch.

While not a lot of official info is known about Need for Speed Heat, we do know that it’ll offer character customization, and that it won’t feature loot boxes, but will instead have car packs as post-launch DLC.

In  development by Ghost Games, Need for Speed Heat will race out this November 8 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
