Anthem New Armor Sets, Vinyls, and Materials Uncovered via Dataming

A user on the game’s subreddit has posted a list of new armor sets, vinyls, and materials which were uncovered in an Anthem datamine. The post includes images of the upcoming content, all of which has been sourced from the latest update to the public test server (PTS), which was shutdown earlier this week.

Everything in this datamine should be coming to the core game of Anthem when the Cataclysm update drops in the future. The PTS hosted the very latest version of Anthem with the Cataclysm live event, and therefore should be an accurate reflection of what’s coming to Anthem in the future. We’ve split the datamine into three categories below, check out all of the new items coming to the game in the rest of this post.

Armor Sets

You might notice that a lot of these armor sets are themed around crystals. I suspect that has something to do with the fact that crystals are a big focus in the Cataclysm, and they’re even present in the core game of Anthem right now.

Vinyls

These Vinyls share a similar crystal-theme in terms of naming and looks. BioWare is definitely doubling down on the Cataclysm with these items, which should make them more appealing to collectors.

With these Materials we see the last of the new content that’s probably being added to Anthem with the Cataclysm update. The only one that needs mentioning is wood, which is something that BioWare has always been teased about. Expect to see a number of wooden Javelins running around once the next update hits the game.

Responsible Gambling and Self Exclusion: How to Play Responsibly

Casino players differ in how gamblers should play responsibly. You probably have some ideas of how to best play with accountability. But what’s the right way to do it?

Plan your day to avoid boredom

If you gamble to kill boredom, but it’s becoming a problem, find new hobbies. Start by creating a schedule to account for all hours of the day. You also want to find alternative things you can do during those times you love to place bets.

Research also agrees with the idea of planning for everything you do. When you’re occupied with something you love, your thirst for gambling reduces dramatically. Take this sports fan, for example. In a Reddit thread, the 22-year-old says gaming is the first thing that comes to mind when he’s bored.

Most gamblers feel the same way. But if you want to play responsibly, you must find ways to avoid boredom in the first place. Scheduling your daily activities can help you account for everything you do and also help you reduce your free time.

Consider Self-Exclusion

In the UK, Sweden, and several other countries, it’s now possible to self-exclude yourself from online casinos temporarily. This is a useful idea for people that only want to quit gambling for a while as they sort out their lives.

Gamstop, for example, authorizes UK-based casinos to blacklist your personal information for six to five years. During that period, you can’t access your gambling accounts or create new ones. Participating casinos are also prohibited from sending promotional emails to you.

Although Gamstop won’t let you gamble during your self-exclusion period, there is a list of casinos not on Gamstop where you could bet. This, obviously, has its drawbacks—like relapsing. But if you consciously decide to play again before your time on Gamstop is done, there are lots of casino options for you.

Keep a Budget

In gambling, you can’t afford to play without a budget. With all the beautiful technology-driven games out there, it’s easy to get tempted to wager more than you can afford. This happens a lot when you lose, sometimes even when on a losing streak. You think because you’ve lost severally, you must somehow win.

Without a budget, you can drain your bankroll on the same night. But when you have a budget, you’ll know when to stop playing. You can utilize multiple gambling strategies if that helps increase your bottom line. And at the end of it all, you’ll have your finances in order.

Reignite an Old Hobby

What’s the one hobby you always wish you could rekindle? Maybe you loved to play football in your free time. Enroll for a local club if you have the strength and will to do it. If you were once a band member, find your favorite instrument and reignite your hobby.

It’s easier to slow down on gambling when you have an alternative hobby you love. The problem worsens if you try to replace it with something you don’t like. Casino games are robustly stimulating. If you have to replace their lure, do it something equally thrilling to you.

Learn how to Manage your Emotions

Emotions like stress and anxiety are stimulants. When you’re stressed, your sensory system signals you to manage your problems by doing what you love. This could, in turn, lead to compulsive gambling, which can be damaging to your health or financial wellbeing.

The best way to manage stress is to avoid it. If the cause is something unavoidable, find a way to contain it without resulting in excessive gaming. With work-related stress, for example, find a hobby that relaxes your mind. With anxiety, you have to avoid everything that causes it.

Focus on Today

It’s not easy to forget about yesterday’s losses, at least not when they are significant. You’ll keep remembering how much you lost. You could also feel a desire to play some more, hoping to recover the amount you lost. But you probably know how the cycle rolls out.

When it’s not your lucky day or week, gambling compulsively won’t necessarily help you make profits. As such, it’s essential to live life like yesterday or tomorrow never existed. Don’t fuss over your past losses, especially when you have a budget that guides you.

Get Help

As they say, it’s never too late to get help when you need it. No one will judge you for attempting to become a better human being. Better yet, nothing should matter more than ensuring you overcome the throws of gaming addiction.

To Conclude

People are learning that there’s nothing shameful in trying to recover from gambling addiction. At the same time, there’s more effort to encourage players to become more responsible. At an individual level, there are several things you can do to keep your gaming hobby manageable.

Make plans for everything you do and only dedicate a few minutes for casino games. If it becomes an addiction, use the tips shared above to manage it.

Apex Legends Mobile: EA “Assumes” It’s a Fiscal Year 2021 Launch

While we already reported back in May that EA was planning on bringing Apex Legends to mobile devices and in turn, to China’s large gaming audience, it seems that’s not going to be out anytime soon. During the publisher’s earnings call today, EA gave an update on Apex Legends mobile, and the game’s eventual release in China.

During the Q&A portion of the call, Michael Hickey from Benchmark asked the following:

Michael Hickey (Benchmark): I guess on Apex, I’ve got a ton of questions. I’ll try to limit it to a couple. But I was hopeful — I mean, given the sort of profile of the game, the competitive aspects of it, esports is sort of a no-brainer. It’s great to see you guys start to move forward to your first, I guess, state of mind in September, but maybe some more color in terms of how big esports could be in terms of driving engagement, monetization and maybe overall player feel for Apex. And then, I guess, just another add-on, mobile in China, is this still a possibility in ’20? Or is this more of a fiscal ’21 event now in terms of expanding insulated opportunities [indiscernible]?

Blake Jorgensen, EA Chief Financial Officer confirmed that they’re still working with a partner on Apex Legends mobile, and that no specific timing has been made for either Apex Legends mobile, or its release in China.

Blake Jorgensen (EA CFO):We did not put anything in our annual guidance for either mobile globally for Apex in China and that’s because we are still obviously working with a partner but we don’t have timing set up, but I would assume it’s a ’21 event in both cases. We’ll give you more knowledge or more input as the quarters go on this year as to how that timing will evolve, but right now, I would assume nothing in ’20.

Note that this doesn’t mean that Apex Legends mobile will not be released until sometime in 2021, but rather, sometime in EA’s fiscal year 2021, which starts May 2020.

Given how Apex Legends still manages to get 8-10 million players per week even if it’s not available on mobile devices, EA might just be raking in the moolah once Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale game gets released on mobile platforms and in China.

EA: Apex Legends Gets 8-10 Million Players Per Week, “10-Year Run” Planned

It’s no secret that Apex Legends has been a huge success for publisher EA, and while the game might not be as talked about as much compared to when it launched, it seems it’s still doing good business for the publisher. In EA’s Q1 2020 earnings call, EA gave an update on the Apex Legends weekly player numbers, and it’s still quite significant.

During the Q&A portion of the call, Colin Sebastian from Baird, asked, “(on Apex) I was wondering more specifically what you see in reengagement with some of the early players in terms of what has drawn them back into the game? ”

Responding to the question was none other than Andrew Wilson, EA CEO, who mentioned that Apex Legends gets 8-10 million players on a week-by-week basis.

Andrew Wilson:Yes. I would just come back to the comments that Blake just shared. And we have between 8 million to 10 million people engaging in this game on a week-by-week basis. That is large by any measure. It makes it one of the — probably the most engaging games. We have continued to see great fan sentiment inside that game. And we expect to continue to grow that audience over time. Again, when we think about Apex Legends, we set out to build something with longevity. And at the very core is a great gameplay experience. And we know that long-term engagement involves the ongoing release of new content and the ongoing running of events, both of which the team at Respawn are doing with great success, but the very core of that is a great gameplay experience. And we’re building this in a way that we expect to continue to grow and continue to be a meaningful part of our business for a long time to come. And the sign of engagement that we see today lead us to believe that’s possible.

With those impressive numbers, EA must surely be thinking of supporting Apex Legends for long time, right? Yes, indeed they will, with EA CFO Blake Jorgensen mentioning how they have a 10-year plan for the title “or even more.”

Blake Jorgensen: Yes. We think about this as almost like an annual title. We will continue to innovate that game and evolve that game over time and hope to believe — I believe that we have a 10 year run ahead of us or if not more. There’s so much potential and ways to change that game over time and add to that game. We think that there’s just huge potential in that and that’s how we’re managing it.

If this rings true, then this means Apex Legends will most likely make the jump to next-gen (PS5, Project Scarlett), which is to be expected given how the next-gen platforms have been confirmed to be backwards compatible.

Do you think Apex Legends can last for 10 years or more? And are you surprised that there’s that many people playing the game per week or is it to be expected given it’s a free-to-play title?

Borderlands 3 Zane Character Trailer Introduces Us to the Corporate Hitman, Here Are His Abilities

Gearbox has released the first of its Borderlands 3 character trailers today, and we kick things off with Zane! This crazy dude has an assortment of gadgets up his sleeves, and is adept of getting rid of enemies. While we don’t see any of his actual skills and abilities in action in this Borderlands 3 Zane character trailer, we do get to experience some of his personality.

Here’s Zane’s abilities and the different ways to play as him in Borderlands 3:

Zane the Operative is Borderlands 3’s resident tech expert, with an ingenious gadget at the ready for any life-or-death situation. Zane can equip two Action Skills at once, though choosing to do so will replace his ability to toss grenades. To help you decide if Zane is the right Vault Hunter for you, here’s a brief overview of his three skill trees: Doubled Agent, Hitman, and Under Cover. Will your Zane build be worthy of the Flynt family name?

DOUBLED AGENT

Action Skill: Digi-Clone

“Take advantage of Zane’s unique ability to equip two Action Skills to help decimate your enemies. With the passive tree Doubled Agent, Zane players gain large bonuses such as Synchronicity’s increase to gun damage when both Action Skills are active. And don’t fear: just because you can’t manually throw a grenade doesn’t mean you can’t use a grenade! Grab Fractal Frags or Duct Tape Mod and your Action Skills and gun fire will litter the area with explosions!” – Grant Kao, Game Designer

Become a master of misdirection with the Doubled Agent skill tree. Whenever Zane’s Digi-Clone is active and drawing enemies’ fire, he can trade places with it on a short cooldown. By learning skills in the Doubled Agent skill tree, you can amplify your Digi-Clone for some truly tricky setups that’ll leave your target’s head spinning before you blast it into a bloody explosion.

As you progress further into the Doubled Agent skill tree, you’ll find plenty of clever ways to improve your Digi-Clone, along with some bonuses that reward Zane for having two Action Skills active at the same time. Here are just a few of the helpful skills you can unlock:

  • Quick Breather lets Zane immediately start recharging his shield whenever he swaps places with his Digi-Clone, which provides a huge boost to survivability.
  • Enhance causes your Digi-Clone to consume up to 3 grenades when you summon it, giving the Digi-Clone amped-up stats for every grenade consumed.
  • Double Barrel ups your DPS by giving your Digi-Clone a copy of Zane’s current weapon – and swapping places triggers increased gun damage for you and your Digi-Clone.

The Action Skill Augments on the Doubled Agent skill tree give your Digi-Clone even more utility, like giving you the ability to detonate it for an explosion of fire damage or having it soak up some of your damage. With enough points invested into Doubled Agent, your Digi-Clone gets an upgrade from ‘handsome distraction’ to ‘meaningful source of damage’ that’s always got your back.

HITMAN

Action Skill: SNTNL

Embrace the ‘kill or be killed’ mentality with the Hitman skill tree. You get substantial bonuses whenever you kill an enemy, and that includes any enemies who run afoul of your SNTNL—a hovering drone that peppers targets with machine gun fire. Specializing in Hitman skills is a means for stoking your bloodlust: scoring kills makes you stronger, which makes killing easier, and the cycle repeats until nothing but bodies and loot lie in your wake.

Throughout the Hitman skill tree, you’ll find plenty of perks called Kill Skills that activate every time you end an enemy’s life, like faster firing rates or the chance to shoot additional projectiles. You’ll also find some crucial skills such as:

  • Salvation gives your damage a bit of life steal after you score a kill, so you can shoot your way back to health if your life bar starts dwindling during battle.
  • Death Follows Close improves the effectiveness and duration of your Kill Skills, letting you tear through large groups of enemies with ease.
  • Seein’ Red sets off all of Zane’s Kill Skills any time he activates an Action Skill. If you stagger your Action Skills properly, your overall damage output will be through the roof.

The Action Skill Augments on the Hitman skill tree focus on enhancing the SNTNL’s arsenal, including cryo damage upgrades to its weaponry, a radiation beam that weakens enemies while buffing Zane, and the ability to paint targets for a missile barrage. If you live for the thrill of the kill, the Hitman skill tree gives you all the help you need to rack up a ridiculous body count.

UNDER COVER

Action Skill: Barrier

Keep your entire team safe and buff their damage output with the Under Cover skill tree. The Barrier Action Skill deploys a shield that blocks all enemy fire and gives you and your allies increased gun damage whenever you shoot through it. You can even pick up an active Barrier to turn Zane into a mobile bulwark, though this decreases its size and damage bonuses.

Investing points in the Under Cover skill tree can give your Barrier some clear improvements, like increased maximum shield capacity and decreased recharge rate. Go deeper still, and elemental damage becomes a dominant theme, whether you’re dishing it out more effectively or improving how much you can take. Here’s a sampling of some key Under Cover skills:

  • Confident Competence buffs Zane’s gun damage and accuracy whenever his shields are active, with better bonuses for stronger shield percentages.
  • Calm, Cool, Collected rewards Zane for using cryo weapons; any time you freeze an enemy you’ll regenerate shields, health, or Action Skills in that order, depending on what’s currently full.
  • Distributed Denial is a big one, giving your Barrier the effects of your currently equipped Shield Mod, which also applies to any allies near the Barrier (with reduced bonuses for Zane himself). It’ll feel like everyone’s getting together for a big buff party any time you drop a Barrier.

The Action Skill Augments along the Under Cover skill tree make the Barrier even more effective at saving (or ending) lives, giving it properties like increased movement speed and fire rates for any Vault Hunter who touches it, a dome shape that protects you on all sides, and a Deterrence Field that shocks and staggers any enemy who gets too close. You and your allies will feel unbreakable with the combined powers of the Barrier and the Under Cover skill tree, while your enemies will be frozen from fear and cryo damage before you shatter them into a million pieces.

Borderlands 3 will shoot its way out this September 13 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled Upcoming Update Brings New Grand Prix Event

Activision has announced that the Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled upcoming update will bring the Back N. Time Grand Prix to the game. This Grand Prix will be similar to the Nitro Tour Grand Prix, but is themed very differently. Check out the trailer for the event below, and read on for more details.

The Back N. Time Grand Prix takes place between August 2 and 25 2019. The event is free for anyone who has purchased Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and has an internet connection, meaning there’s absolutely no barrier to entry in this new Grand Prix.

The set up for the event is that N. Trophy’s staff, which bends time, has thrown Crash and the team back to the prehistoric era. The focus for the visuals in the Back N. Time Grand Prix is definitely not on making dinosaurs look as accurate as possible, in fact it seems as though developer Beenox has gone out of their way to make these dinosaurs look as comical as possible.

As with the previous Grand Prix, players will be able to earn new skins, characters, karts, customisation options, and so much more, including a brand new track. All of this will become available once players have downloaded the game’s latest update and started it up. The new content on offer is shown in the image below, take a look and read on for more details.

Crash-Team-Racing-Nitro-Fueled-Upcoming-Update-Brings-New-Event

Prehistoric Playground

The name of the new track with this event is Prehistoric Playground, featuring dinosaurs, geysers, and caves with mysterious wall paintings. There’s also a hint that many characters would feel at home in this location, indicating that there are probably some surprises lurking in the scenery. The track has a number of shortcuts and dynamic paths which will make it easier to get ahead of enemies in the long run, all of which players will master the more they play on it.

Crash-Team-Racing-Nitro-Fueled-Upcoming-Update-Brings-New-Event-2

Just like in the previous Grand Prix, players will need to complete daily and weekly challenges in order to boost up their Nitro Gauge and earn rewards for the event. Rewards on offer include: Nostalginator and Mammoth Karts, Cave Painting Stickers, and the ‘Dashing’ Fake Crash Skin. In addition, a brand new racer is joining the roster with the event, Baby T, who can be earned as a reward for completing the Bronze tier of the Nitro Gauge. A ‘Fake’ Baby T skin is available as the Gold tier reward. A total of 18 items are up for grabs with this new Grand Prix, and players are encouraged to complete as much of the Nitro Gauge as they can so they can earn them.

Crash-Team-Racing-Nitro-Fueled-Upcoming-Update-Brings-New-Event-3

During the Back N. Time Grand Prix there will be new characters available from the Pit Stop. These characters are Baby Crash and Baby Coco, but a host of new items will also be available for purchase. In addition to these prehistoric items, the futuristic Probulot 2000 is going to be available from the Pit Stop, as well as the Mad Scientist Crash skin, Sabertooth Pura, and Stone Age N. Trophy. All of these items can be purchased with Wumpa Coins, which will be available in bundles for the first time ever in the Pit Stop during the upcoming event.

Challenges

This event will see the return of daily, weekly, themed, and pro challenges to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. These will boost up a player’s Nitro Gauge, but more challenges will reveal themselves when the event goes live, such as Backwards Compatible, which requires players to complete a lap with the reverse camera on the entire time.

Leaderboards

The final piece of good news about this update is that it will see the return of Championship and Nitro leaderboards. These work on a points based system, with the top five percent of players earning the Champion Kart and Signature Decal so that they can show off to every other player in the game.

Spyro is Coming

It’s been revealed that the third Grand Prix for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will see the addition of Spyro. What form this appearance will take is anyone’s guess, but fans are already excited to see Crash and Spyro make an appearance in a single game together again.

Once the title update is live, we’ll let our readers know.

Anthem PTS Comes to an End, BioWare Tells People to Uninstall PTS Client

The private test server (PTS) for PC Anthem players to play an early build of the game’s upcoming Cataclysm event has been closed. The server closed yesterday, preventing those PC players who were providing feedback on the test build of the Cataclysm from logging in. However, the closure of this server has made some people think that BioWare is going to release the Cataclysm for the rest of Anthem players sometime soon.

The Anthem PTS closed on July 29 2019 at 2pm CDT. Anyone who continued playing while the server was being taken down was kicked by 3pm CDT on the same day. BioWare Global Community Lead Andrew Johnson, posting under the username “AnthemAJ,”advised all players that it’s now safe to uninstall the Anthem PTS from their Origin client, indicating that the Anthem PTS won’t be used again in the near future. Johnson also expressed the gratitude of the entire team at both EA and BioWare for those who played the server while it was live, and for the feedback they have been providing over the last several weeks.

Johnson ended their post by telling players that they hope to see them in the Cataclysm when it launches for the full game. However, no date for when the event will release for the core game was given, leading some players to believe that the Cataclysm could come in an update soon.

Related Anthem Reading:

Johnson, has pointed out on both Twitter and Reddit that today’s server downtime for Anthem has nothing to do with the Cataclysm going live. Many players were excited when they heard that the game would be seeing some maintenance today, but no update has been released. This downtime was for scheduled maintenance only, though the official Anthem Twitter account has said that the community will be updated on what’s happening once this server maintenance is complete.

The Cataclysm is a sore spot for many Anthem players, and has caused a lot people to leave the game entirely. The Cataclysm will be an eight week timed event, with two of these weeks being pre-Cataclysm content that leads up to the event itself. The Cataclysm was meant to be released in April, but with so many bugs and glitches in the game, as well as the constant complaints of no real endgame, BioWare has been taking their time in order to develop an event that players will find satisfying.

Hopefully the feedback from real players on the Anthem PTS has improved the Cataclysm to the point where all players will enjoy it when it launches.

PS4 Global Sales Reach 100 Million Units Shipped Worldwide

During the announcement of their first quarterly results for the financial year 2019/20, Sony revealed that PS4 global sales have now topped 100 million units shipped worldwide. Thanks to sales in the three months ending on June 30 2019, the PlayStation 4 is now the fastest console to reach the 100 million units shipped milestone.

As of April 2019, 96.8 million PS4 units had been shipped worldwide. Between then and June 30 2019 Sony has revealed that a further 3.2 million units have been shipped, bringing the total to 100 million. This is the exact same number of units shipped for the same quarter last year, but it’s up compared to Q4 2018/19 which saw 2.6 million units shipped. The PlayStation 4 has hit 100 million units shipped worldwide in five years and seven months, making it the fastest console to reach the milestone. The previous fastest was the PlayStation 2, which took five years and nine months to reach the same point.

Despite hitting a huge milestone, Sony has adjusted their expectations for the total number of PlayStation 4 consoles they expect to sell for the current fiscal year. They’ve brought their initial estimation of 16 million units shipped down to 15 million due to a combination of poor non-first-party software sales, and lower than expected hardware sales. It’s also suspected that the upcoming launch of the PlayStation 5 in Christmas 2020 has some consumers holding off from investing in the console, eagerly awaiting the next console generation.

In addition to hardware sales, Sony also discussed PlayStation 4 software sales. 42.9 million software units were sold for the quarter, which is up from 40.6 million units for the same time last year. However, compared to the previous quarter, which saw 54.7 million software units shipped, the numbers were down. The ratio of digital sales compared to physical sales of these software units was slightly weighted towards digital. Sony reported that 53 percent of software sales for the quarter were for digital copies, showing preference for digital purchases among consumers.

Sony added that PlayStation Plus subscribers were down for the quarter at 36.2 million compared to 36.4 million for the previous quarter. Overall however, subscriber numbers are up compared to the same period last year, when total PlayStation Plus subscribers was at 33.9 million.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Reveal Schedule Announced, PC Version To Be Present, Night Vision Goggles Teased

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal is just in a few short days (August 1st,) and Activision has shared the official schedule For what we can expect during the reveal, along with potentially teasing the leaked Dark Edition.

[update] added list of confirmed influencers at the event.

For those who were disappointed with the 2v2 Gunfight mode reveal, you’ll be happy to learn that Activision plans on releasing a brand-new trailer come August 1 along with some planned livestreams showing off plenty of new gameplay from multiple influencers.

We know YouTubers such as Driftor, and popular Twitch streamers will once again be broadcasting live at the event. In fact, many of them have already arrived and have begun their playtesting. Interestingly enough, we should be getting some PC footage as the reports indicate that the PC version will be playable during a tournament at the event confirmed by Twitch streamer Orb.

This isn’t the only exciting news that we will be getting, as Infinity Ward has released a new teaser for some Modern Warfare themed Night Vision Goggles that’ll most likely be packed in the the long rumor/leaked Dark Edition. Multiple editions for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare were revealed earlier this year, with the odd absent of a collector’s edition that every Call of Duty game has had since the first Modern Warfare. It’s been speculated that the team plans on debuting the physical content at their multiplayer reveal event, and this may indeed be true.

We gotta say these look pretty damn good (and expensive.)This actually isn’t the first time a Call of Duty game would come with some Night Vision goggle as the Prestige Edition for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 also came with a fully functional goggle as you can see below.

We gotta say from the screen posted, these newer versions of the goggle certainly appear to be a much higher quality than the previous one.

For more on Modern Warfare, we know that the game will have a vehicle killstreak reward that can be driven, and that the customization in the game will be “realistic and relevant.”

Clan XP Changes:

If you’re an active participant in the Clan/Dojo system, you might have noticed a discrepancy in your Clan’s Dojo XP since the release of The Jovian Concord, we have found the issue and have a full breakdown here.

The issue:
Upon researching The Jovian Concord Clan weapons, some Clans/Dojos had a loss of Clan XP. On the surface this seems like a pretty straight forward problem, but it has turned out to be a bit more complicated. Your “Clan Profile’ page showed research and Pigment XP gains, but there was a whole bunch of invisible XP messing with values especially if you deleted a decoration or room, and finished weapon research (namely, from Operation Trophies)!

The solution:
All trophies are now exempt from Clan XP and will not reward it and the Trading Post and Treasury will supply their intended XP.

Next steps:
As we release eligible content, you can re-rank your Clan over time. We have record keeping of your rank, so you won’t re-trigger the rank up rewards.

Further information:
We have a list of rooms and objects that grant you XP, but only if they exist within the Dojo (i.e cannot be built then destroyed). This now works properly + and we are working to highlight this fact more (as we work to expose in UI):

  • Trading Post: 10000 XP
  • Treasury: 10000 XP
  • Obstacle Course: 15000 XP
  • (NEW) Obstacle Course Architect: 15000 XP
  • Dueling Room: 15000 XP
  • Oracle: 10000 XP
  • Energy Lab: 10000 XP
  • Chem Lab: 10000 XP
  • Bio Lab: 10000 XP
  • Orokin Lab: 10000 XP
  • Tenno Lab: 10000 XP
  • Temple of Honor: 15000 XP

Wukong Changes & Fixes:

  • Wukong’s Celestial Twin no longer utilizes Quick Thinking to fix the Twin living indefinitely.
  • Wukong’s Celestial Twin now behaves with Nullifiers by:
    • If Wukong enters the bubble with Celestial Twin active, nothing happens.
    • If Wukong’s Celestial Twin enters the bubble, his Health will drain down.
  • Wukong’s Passive will now refresh when he enters a Relay/Town.
  • Changed Wukong’s Monkey Luck passive to not generate extra drops from ability immune or VIP enemies to follow cadence with others.
  • Wukong Celestial Twin can now be cancelled by the Stalker.
  • Performance improvements towards Wukong’s Celestial Twin and Cloud Walker.
  • Removed Wukong from Frame Fighter until balance can be restored with his newly revisited abilities.
  • Fixed Wukong’s Immortality Passive triggering while in Archwing in Vallis/Plains which results in getting stuck in Archwing instead of being knocked out.
  • Fixed Wukong’s Celestial Twin swapping from Secondary to Primary weapon on his own.
  • Fixed Client Celestial Twin not choosing to use your Secondary weapon.
  • Fixed ability to replicate Wukong’s Celestial Twin multiple times by abusing Emotes.
  • Fixed Wukong Cloud Walker invulnerability duration at Ranks 1 and 2 to always be a base 2 (s).
  • Fixed Wukong not being able to Melee slam out of Cloud Walker.
  • Fixed Wukong’s Cloudwalk and Defy abilities turning off sprint toggle when used.
  • Fixed hearing another player’s Wukong Specter casting Defy.
  • Fixed cancelling Wukong’s Primal Fury with Celestial Twin resulting in an aggressive forward momentum.
  • Fixed Wukong’s staff getting stuck in its large state if you interrupt the melee attack with something (Ability cast, etc).
  • Fixed an issue with Wukong’s Celestial Stomp becoming unreliable if you use it too quickly after joining in progress.
  • Fixed performing a ground slam on a Cryopod while Wukong’s Primal Staff is equipped resulting in the Warframe’s animation to get stuck in the air.
  • Fixed Wukong’s Tennogen Skins not updating some parts of his outfit.
  • Fixes to floating Armor on Wukong/Wukong Prime.
  • Fixed the Inbox for Wukong Revisited not being localized.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Wukong’s Celestial Twin.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Wukong’s Defy.

Nightwave Changes & Fixes:

  • Eligibility for the Get Clem & Maroo Ayatan Treasure Hunt missions now resets at 00:00 Monday each week (same as Nightwave) instead of an arbitrary 7-day cooldown from whenever you last completed them. This ensures you have a chance to complete the missions within the weekly refresh of Nightwave.
    • Anyone who ran within the last 7 days will have their cooldown reset 7 days from when they ran it, and future resets will be Monday 00:00.
  • A bug existed in the progress tracking and completion status of ‘Recovered’ Acts. If a repeat Act appeared, this would cause it to be already-completed immediately when they appear in the UI and prevent players from earning their associated standing reward. As a result, missing Nightwave Standing has been retroactively given to players affected by the issue.
  • Added preview diorama for Nightwave rewards.
  • Updated the Nightwave Act “Transmute 3/3 Mods” to read “Complete 3/3 Transmutations”.
  • Fixed ‘Everything Old is New Again’ and ‘Loyalty’ Nightwave Acts not awarding Standing.
  • Fixed the ‘Silent Eliminator’ Nightwave Act not failing when an enemy detects you, regardless of alarms.
  • Fixed Perfect animal Captures not always giving credit for Nightwave Acts when it should.
  • Fixed Nightwave Act progression in the Orbiter causing UI to additionally count all the previously completed Acts in the ship and adding it to the displayed Standing.
  • Fixed inability to mark Mods dropped from containers in the Void for the “Mark a Resource or Mod” Nightwave Act.
  • Fixed the Glaive Prime Blueprint help text saying it’s obtainable from Nightwave Cred Offerings.
  • Fixed Wukong’s Celestial Twin kills not counting towards the Power Trip Nightwave Act.
  • Fixed crash when returning to the Orbiter after earning Nightwave Affinity.
  • Fixed UI lockup that could occur when viewing Nightwave Rewards and then an Act.

Survival Spawn Change:

Historically the number of concurrent enemies in Survival was related to where the mission was in the Star Chart; early missions tended to have less enemies and later missions tended to have more and this number did not change even when you stayed in a mission longer to face higher-level enemies. As an experiment we have changed the scaling mechanic so that staying in a low-level mission longer will also increase the enemy count as it increases the enemy level until it hits the same cap it would have for high-level missions.

Sabotage Changes & Fixes:

These Changes & Fixes relate directly to if the Reactor Sabotage ‘magnetic’ situation is triggered:

  • Increased visibility of the panic button placed at the Reactor console.
  • Reduced hack time for enemies at the Reactor panic button to 1.5 seconds.
  • Increased ‘Defend’ time to 60 seconds from 40 seconds.
  • Fixed no enemies spawning to trigger lockdown at the Reactor console.

  • Removed parkour tiles to reduce the chance newer players will get stuck here.
  • Possible fix for Zanuka spawning in secret rooms and teleporting players there.

Relic UI Changes & Fixes:
Missed notes from The Jovian Concord: Hotfix 25.1.2

  • Tweaked the alpha of the Unowned Relic grid to 40% from 25% to increase differentiation between owned / unowned.
  • Upon selecting an unowned Relic, the Refinement button will now read ‘You Do Not Own This Relic’ to alleviate Refinement possibility confusion.
  • Your alias in the Relic Reward screen is now displayed in a different color respective to your chosen UI Theme to help differentiate between yourself and squadmate.

  • We now only show the ‘Gift’ button in the Market for Platinum purchases.

    • Operator Hoods will now appear open when previewing Operator Earpiece dioramas.
    • Airborne Capture Targets in the Gas City tileset will now keep flying when critically injured, with his jetpack set on fire. Upon landing he will continue his escape, but the powerful explosion of his own jetpack will knock him down. He is yours now to capture, Tenno!

Fixes:

Destiny 2 update 1.38 patch notes:

Sandbox

Weapons

  • Lord of Wolves
    • Reduced the amount of ammo that Shotgun Scavenger perks can give to Lord of Wolves when it is in the Release the Wolves state
    • Decreased the effective range on Lord of Wolves
      • This decrease is more aggressive when the weapon is in the Release the Wolves state
  • Perks
    • Fixed an issue that allowed the Feeding Frenzy perk to be applied to any weapon

Armor

  • Fixed an issue where the cloth component of the Iron Symmachy Cloak wasn’t rendering correctly
  • Fixed an issue where the cloth component of the Terra Concord Mark wasn’t rendering correctly
  • Fixed a bug where the Titan Exotic leg armor Peregrine Greaves glowed 130x too bright when wearers were at maximum velocity
  • While our intention was for this Exotic to help Titans destroy opponents with 130x efficiency, we did not intend for its glow to burn out the corneas of the user

Investment

Tribute Hall

  • Triumphs
    • The Tribute Hall Triumphs “The Emperor’s Gladiator” and “The Scoundrel in Uniform” no longer require you to equip a full set of Leviathan gear to progress
    • Players will now earn more points based on the number of gear pieces worn, similar to other Triumphs
  • Tributes
    • Players will no longer be able to place the Tribute Hall introductory tribute on an alternate character to gain credit for a large number of tributes placed
    • Players who accessed the catalyst or emote rewards through this method will have those items relocked until they place enough unique tributes to meet the actual unlock requirements

Iron Banner

  • Iron Banner pursuit objective values have been adjusted
    • Reduced the grenade kills required by 50%
    • Ally grenade kills are now worth as much as your own
    • Reduced the Sword kills required by 25%
    • Ally Sword kills are now worth as much as your own
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to equip Season 3 Iron Banner ornaments on their Season 7 armor
  • The Wolf’s Favor will no longer drop from daily and weekly Iron Banner challenges
  • Fixed an issue where the Triumph “Efrideet’s Gift” was not unlocking for players who earned enough Iron Banner rank-up packages during Season 7
    • This fix is retroactive; it will get players up to speed who have met the requirements

Menagerie / Chalice

  • Heroic Menagerie now drops a Sword for first-time completion (100%)
    • Subsequent completions have a moderate chance to drop a Sword (25%)
  • Fixed an issue where the Triumph “Drink Deep” would not unlock for some players who claimed the Masterwork slot on the Chalice of Opulence
  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck in the Season of Opulence intro quest by unlocking the first rune slot on the Chalice before completing the Lost Sector The Conflux and being on the correct quest step
  • Imperials and runes can no longer be earned by idling through matches of Crucible and Gambit

Truth Quest

  • Replaced the step of the Truth quest chain requiring the bounty “Corsair Down” with a step requiring completion of three patrols in the Dreaming City
  • Fixed a bug where players could become blocked from earning Truth if they opened the Ascendant chest in the strike “Warden of Nothing” before being on the appropriate quest step

General

  • Fixed an issue where completion notifications would not appear after players completed bounties
  • This will also fix an issue where players would sometimes not spawn during a Crucible match

Keep an eye out for the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset set to hit the site today once it’s live! In the meantime, go read up on our Iron Banner tips that we posted last week.

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled Getting Microtransactions in Next Title Update

It news that should shock no one, Activision’s remastered racer — Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled — will be implementing microtransactions soon! In an announcement for the Grand Prix update for the game, Activision also mentioned how the Pit Stop will be enabled with cosmetic items and such, which means, you guessed it, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled microtransactions!

Here’s the blurb included in the announcement tucked amidst all the new content announced:

As always, the Pit Stop will be stocked with new and returning characters and cosmetic items, which players can unlock using Wumpa Coins*. With all this content available, there will also now be a way for players to fast-track their Wumpa Coin collection if they like. Starting in early August, players will have the option to purchase Wumpa Coin bundles from their game console stores to supplement the Coins they earn by playing. This option won’t change the game’s core mechanics – players will still earn Wumpa Coins by playing the game in any mode, just as before. They will just able to purchase additional coins if they choose.

Given this is Activision after all, we shouldn’t be surprised, right? At the very least, it won’t affect the core gameplay at all, so that should make swallowing this Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled stealth announcement a lot easier to take, no?

Are you OK with this given it’s cosmetics only or do you think that some games should be spared of microtransactions? Let us know in the comments below.

Anthem Store Update July 30 2019 – Prospero Items List

Today the Anthem store update comes on the back of some server downtime. While this update isn’t necessarily the one that players have been hoping for, it does offer some new items for them to purchase and customise their Javelins with, in anticipation of the Cataclysm. Check out the image below to see everything in the store, then read on for some more information on the items.

Anthem-Store-Update-July-30-2019–Prospero-Items-List

Wraps

Fallen Comrade: 61,000 Coin or 850 Shards – This is an Epic Wrap, so there’s a good chance that most of you don’t have it. If you’re trying to create some sort of Reaver cosplay from the Firefly universe, then this is the Wrap you need on your Javelin.

Skorpion’s Lash: 61,000 Coin or 850 Shards – Anther Epic Wrap, this one doesn’t look half as good as Fallen Comrade if I’m honest. There’s a nice layout to the patterns here, but really it’s nothing that looks that special in comparison to the bloodstained Javelin you could have on the left.

Materials

Metal: Gold Leaf | 5,000 Coin or 175 Shards – This is a really luscious metal Material that you could use to create some phenomenal Javelin designs, it’s pretty cheap too!

Fabric: Vinyl Geometric Cubes | 12,000 Coin or 300 Shards – Now this is a rare Material, both literally in Anthem’s rarity, and it’s one you don’t see used often. It looks like it might be included in the Skorpion’s Lash Wrap, but I’m not totally sure. It’s definitely worth a purchase if you’ve got the currency though.

Arrivals

B-Boy Taunt 2: 23,000 Coin or 475 Shards – An Epic Arrival that’s sure to annoy your clan mates.

Fierce Snap: 23,000 Coin or 475 Shards – The second Epic Arrival for today, and this one will definitely get you in trouble.

That’s everything in the Anthem store update for today! Make sure you pick up some of the items you don’t own before the Cataclysm hits, because at that point thee base game items will be rarer than anything else.

Report: Need for Speed 2019 Outed by Austrian Store to Be Titled “Need for Speed Heat” and Launches This Year

While we already know that a new Need for Speed game is set to race out this year according to EA themselves, it seems we now know what the official title will be! Gameware, which is an Austrian online game retailer, seems to have leaked the official title of the Need for Speed 2019 entry, and it’s none other than “Need for Speed Heat.”

The actual listing has since been pulled, but thankfully, video game insider Nibel managed to screenshot the box, which contains the official title, and  confirmation it’s headed to PS4 and Xbox One!

What’s odd here is, it’s already the end of July, which means EA has about a few months to announce, market, and release Need for Speed 2019 (Need for Speed Heat)! According to EA, they’re shaking things up with the franchise’s announcement and such stating, “Our goal is to deliver a truly memorable high-speed entry into the 25 years of NFS, rather than a series of promotional events.”

We’ve reached out to EA for a statement regarding this leak and we’ll update the post if and when we hear back.
