Report: Next Assassin’s Creed Game to Be Set in Greece

Are you looking forward to the next Assassin’s Creed game? While Ubisoft has been mum on the subject so far, which is understandable since the latest game in the series, Assassin’s Creed Origins, was just released in October of 2017.

Well, it seems the next Assassin’s Creed title will be set in Greece! At least according to Comicbook who got the info from “several sources linked to Ubisoft.” Additionally, these same sources have mentioned that “full production” of the game kicked off around “the start of 2017,” and is set for release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Note that this should still be treated as a rumor until Ubisoft denies or acknowledges ’em (which I doubt). But nonetheless, the site’s same sources were spot-on with the leak for Assassin’s Creed Origins including its setting, and final title (according to the site).

Given how leaks seem to follow the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and how most of them turn out to be true, I wouldn’t be surprised if this one turned out correct as well.

Are you ready to bring your blade and hoodie to Greece? Or would you want a more exotic locale?

Sea of Thieves Kraken Is Finally Spotted, Watch the Battle Here

The Sea of Thieves kraken was hunted throughout the game’s beta, with many searching for the mythical beast, but ultimately failing to find it. Truth is, it hadn’t actually been added to live servers, so it wasn’t even there to be found…

Now that the game has launched, the Sea of Thieves kraken has been unleashed, with players finally able to do battle with the monster.

Take a look at the video below to see super21314 taking on the mythical beast:

There doesn’t seem to be much under the water’s surface, which is a tad disappointing. But still, the Sea of Thieves kraken encounter will no doubt strike fear into the hearts of many unsuspecting pirates!

In other Sea of Thieves news, the game is now available on Xbox One and PC. You can access it for free using the Xbox Game Pass trial.

Need for Speed Payback Update Races Out, Here’s What’s New

Ghost Games has released a new Need for Speed Payback update, which is out now! Clocking in at 5.6GB on the PlayStation 4 version, this title update brings in new activities, cars, and more.

First up, check out the new cars and how the “Bait Crates” system has been tweaked.

AllDrive: Activities

Drift Zones, Speed Runs, Speed Traps and Jumps are coming to AllDrive. Head out into Fortune Valley and put your car sideways, grab some big air and do it all with your friends alongside you.

New Events: Castrol Edge Titanium Trials

You’re invited to take part in a series of brand new events in Fortune Valley. Prove you’re the best driver around and win the Castrol Edge Titanium Trial. These new events appear automatically on your in-game map and will be visible to all players who have completed chapter two. Simply look out for the event icons in Silver Canyon, Liberty Desert and Mount Providence.

Pontiac Firebird

Be a bandit in the Pontiac Firebird, also known as the “Blackbird”. Leave the cops in a cloud of smoke in this iconic car and ultimately customize it into a one of a kind Super Build.

The Pontiac Firebird is available as a stand-alone purchase.

Aston Martin DB5

Add a touch of British luxury to your garage, in the form of the Aston Martin DB5. Drive faster than a thunderball in this absolute classic, regarded by many as the most beautiful Aston Martin ever produced. However, this one comes with a license to Super Build.

The Aston Martin DB5 is available as a stand-alone purchase.

Eddie’s Skyline

Eddie’s Skyline will be granted as a reward for everyone who has played both Need for Speed 2015 and Need for Speed Payback.

This is the first car that will be making the jump from level 299 to 399. We’re looking forward to hearing your feedback on this as it will shape the future of increasing the limit of further cars.

Bait Crates Checkpoint removal

We know that a more open cop experience is important to our community and you will have no doubt noticed that the Abandoned Car system experiments with this. Due to the ongoing feedback we’ve received and the in-game telemetry from Abandoned Cars we’ve made the decision to remove all checkpoints from the Bait Crates system. The end point will remain in place but how you get there is entirely up to you.

In addition to the checkpoint removal we have increased the spawn rate, and Bait Crates will now appear in greater frequency across Fortune Valley.

Not interested in that and just want to know the bug fixes and tweaks? Here you go!

Patch Notes – March 2018

  • New feature: AllDrive: Activities
  • New Events: Castrol Edge Titanium Trials
  • New Car: Pontiac Firebird
  • New Car: Aston Martin DB5
  • New Car: Eddies Skyline at level 399
  • Feature Improvement: Checkpoints removed from Bait Crates
  • Feature Improvement: Increased spawn rate of Bait Crates
  • Fixed an issue that would cause players to experience an infinite loading screen when trying to go back to Single Player from Multiplayer.
  • Players can now collect a poker chip that is located near to the “Danza Macabra” event when driving the McLaren P1.
  • Autolog recommendations now display the car type and rating used on repeatable events.
  • We found a rare issue that would cause the game to sometimes hang indefinitely when selecting “swap with warehouse” in AllDrive. It no longer does this.
  • Fixed an in-game money exploit. We’re not angry in you, just disappointed.
  • The Tune-up shop now displays the correct button prompt for the help option.
  • Players can no longer navigate through the pause menu after pressing the ‘Back’ prompt in the multiplayer lobby.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause some irregular behavior when a player would close the Live Tuning menu near a non-owned garage.
  • Removed some development text strings from the “Showman Intro” event. These weren’t top secret.
  • There is a rock formation near the “Throwing Skids” drift zone. Previously it had no collision applied to it, it now does. Don’t crash.
  • Players will no longer receive an infinite loading screen when failing to join a full AllDrive: Hangout.
  • Tune-up shops would sometimes, on rare occasions, display ineligible button prompts. These prompts are now legible.
  • Brake calipers were present on Ford Mustang, Nissan Fairlady and Chevrolet C10 derelicts even though the stock build already has Drum Brakes. The stock versions now only have drum brakes.
  • Cycling through a dealership will no longer cause issues when looking at the downloadable cars UI.
  • Wheelie bars no longer clip through the ground when accelerating in the Chevrolet C10 Drag super build.
  • Wheelie bars no longer clip through the ground when accelerating in the Chevrolet Bel Air Drag super build.
  • Wheelie bars no longer float above the ground when accelerating in the Volkswagen Beetle Drag super build.
  • Wheelie bars no longer float above the ground when accelerating in the Nissan Fairlady Drag super build.
  • Wheelie bars no longer float above the ground when accelerating in the Ford Mustang Drag super build.
  • In case you missed it, we fixed some issues with wheelie bars.
  • Rewards from activities are now displayed correctly within the UI.
  • Activity Speedwalls now update faster for players in the same server.
  • Players can no longer get stuck under a trailer near the “Boomville Pursuit” event. As a general rule of thumb, we don’t advise driving under trailers.
  • A White glow used to be present in brake lights on the Lamborghini Huracan.
  • Equipping Mansory Fenders, Bumpers, or Sideskirts no longer results in players being locked to the Mansory part set on the Lamborghini Huracan.
  • The progress bar for “next shipment” from the “Challenges” screen now updates after a player completes any daily challenge.
  • Fixed an issue where players couldn’t access Shipments. Side note, this was done via a server fix a week or so ago.
  • Players are no longer prompted to “Try again later” when accessing the “Challenges” menu.
  • Speedlist games sometimes enter a state where they are in post-game and matchmaking players to new servers, but also still open to new players joining the decommissioning server. It no longer does this.
  • Spamming the A button will no longer cause the game to hang when opening shipments. Patience please, nobody likes a button masher.
  • Players are now reset as expected if they go out of bounds when reaching the area near the fence, to the right side of the ramp near one of the Ford Mustang Derelict parts.
  • Diffusers on the Nissan GT-R are now using the correct geometry.
  • You used to be able to change difficulty mid-mission from (for example Hard to Easy) and gain more time per checkpoint without restarting the mission in the Runner time trial “Elysium Dash”. Not anymore.
  • If you started to play the Drag time trial “Safety Last” on Hard and then change the difficulty to Easy without restarting the mission, players would still gain more time per checkpoint than if you’d played on Hard the entire time. Also, not anymore.
  • The game would sometimes crash when opening the map right before starting an AllDrive: Activity. We fixed this before you even got to experience it.
  • Watanabe rims on the Honda S2000 no longer clip.
  • The Rocket Bunny spoiler is now visible on the Honda NSX Type-R
  • An Invisible wall was present near the rocks in the mountains on the route of the “Pedal to the Metal” speed run activity, stopping players from completing the activity with 3 stars. This invisible wall has been removed.
  • Frame rate is now more stable the first time you enter the garage.
  • Players will no longer get stuck on the ramp approximately 2.3miles into the “Praise the sun desert” event.
  • Fixed some issues with the rear bumper and fender of the Mercury Cougar.
  • During a “Bait Crate” event a player is now shown the “Escaping” message when the pursuit stops and there are no police cars are near the him.
  • The rock formation near the “Blitzkrieg” Speed Run activity now has collision applied to it.
  • The characters head no longer clips through the right window of the Mazda RX-7 when turning left.
  • The sound before getting busted in a “Bait Crate” event is no longer looped in the reputation, money and speed card selection after completing the event.
  • Watanabe rims on the Chevrolet Bel Air no longer have clipping issues.
  • Players no longer receive multiple resets after falling off the ramp and failing the jump on “Solar Project” event.
  • The Derelict sonar sound is now muted when the game is paused.
  • During the Speedcross tutorial, “$IDA_Axis0xNeg” no longer appears instead of “Drifting” and “Good drift”.
  • Adjusted several Runner events to now have balanced rewards.
  • Previously, if a player enters the “Tune-Up-Shop” with the Subaru Impreza WRX STI off-road build for the first time, the parts available were level 13. This is no longer the case and the cards are set to an appropriate level.
  • Players will receive a “Speed Card” consistent with those currently equipped after completion of the “I smell a rat” event.
  • Tune-up shops now have parts available to purchase after buying the Porsche Carrera 911 RSR 2.8 and teleporting to any Tune-up-Shop.
  • A patch of rocks located between the “Smuggler’s Trail” and “Over the Hill” events now has the correct collision applied to it.
  • Players are now notified when another player leaves the AllDrive server.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes crash when players entered a Tune-up shop in AllDrive.
  • Entering an even number of characters on the license plate of the Plymouth Barracuda no longer causes an error. Odd bug this.
  • Spoilers for the Buick GNX are now able to be customized via the wrap editor.
  • The jump cinematic camera will only trigger for the player that performs the jump, and not for anyone else near it during AllDrive.
  • The welcome to AllDrive: Hangout message will now only trigger once, on a player’s first time in the game mode.
  • Rainbow Nitrous will no longer clip through the stock exhaust and rear bumper of the Lamborghini Murciélago.
  • Players are now able to apply a primary and a secondary paint on the Ford Mustang GT stock rims.
  • Front bumpers on the Nissan Fairlady can now have decals applied to them correctly.
  • Front bumpers on the Subaru BRZ can now have decals applied to them correctly.
  • The default tail lights of the Volkswagen Golf GTI are now available in the part list.
  • Autolog now updates correctly after beating the recommended score on the “Udo Roth: Wild Streak” event.
  • Increased the intensity of the third brake light of the Audi S5, as it was too dim previously.
  • Crowds are no longer floating at the start area of the Free Ember Militia event. Spooky.
  • Snapshot Pro has been disabled during jump cinematics.
  • Players will no longer lose points to Roaming Racers if they are in-front of them. This affected the following Roaming Racers in particular; Lindsay, De’Aaron, Cassandra and LeAnne.
  • Fixed multiple #ClippingIssues.
  • Numerous other world and geometry fixes.
  • Multiple other tweaks, fixes and improvements.

Don’t forget, another update due later this year will add free roam to the racing game.

Narcos Game Based on Hit Show Coming to PC and Consoles

Are you a fan of Netflix’s Narcos? Have you ever wanted a game based on the hit show? If the answer to those questions are a resounding yes, then boy, do we have good news for you!

Curve Digital, publisher of games such as Serial Cleaner, Dear Esther, and a lot more, has announced a Narcos game adaptation set for release on PC and consoles in spring 2019! Unfortunately, that’s all we know so far. It’s not known whether it’ll be a third-person action game, a first-person shooter, or something else. While nothing’s announced so far, I think it’s safe to assume that we’ll see some sort of shooting involved, and maybe drugs, because, well, it is Narcos.

The Narcos game adaptation is currently being worked on by Curve Digital’s sister company Kuju, with studio head Brynley Gibson stating,  “We’re looking forward to creating a game that matches the fantastic storyline and gritty action of the Netflix series. We’re tremendously excited and have some amazing gameplay elements in the works that will please both fans of the show and gamers.”

What kind of gameplay do you expect to see from a Narcos game adaptation? Do you think the show’s fanbase will snort up the game like they do the TV show?

Fort Designer Lets You Share Your Fortnite Creations With the World

Fort Designer” is a new in-browser app which lets players create and share structures created with the Fortnite set of tools. In addition to showing what the builds will look like, Fort Designer also calculates the material costs, allowing players to plan the best way to build.

Posted to Reddit by the creator, spaggi, the tool has received a ton of upvotes.

Here’s spaggi’s breakdown of what Fort Designer is, and how it works:

What is Fort Designer?

Fort Designer allows you to create, name and share awesome Fortnite Fort Designs (current focus is on BR building). I got the idea to it because I always had trouble explaining my Duo partners the Forts that I wanted to try. Also, it allows you to calculate the material costs, so you can make your Forts more effective.

What’s the Development state

I doing a very early release to collect feedback as soon as possible. This is the first public version, and a lot of stuff is missing, so be warned. You might encounter bugs. You might find the user experience confusing.

Some Basic Instructions

Right Mouse Button: Scroll
Q, E: Rotate Camera
Right Click: Change Material
Left Click: Build
G-Key: Edit
1-5 lets you select the Build items however it seems I screwed this up as the Browser doesnt allow F1 and F4 to be pressed (Web Player noob here)
Using Selection Mode (“Mouse Cursor Build Item” on the Bottom Right) lets you select, delete and hide Elements
What else?

Apart from further fixes and improvements based on your feedback, I’ll be focusing now on UI overhaul and bringing FD to iOS.

You can check out Fort Designer here (desktop only).

In other Fortnite news, it has become the most watched and most streamed game on Twitch, the Flippin’ Sexy emote is driving players wild, and a future update will bridge the Battle Royale and Save the World controls.

The Most Wanted New Battlefront 2 Skins, According to Reddit

This week, the Star Wars Battlefront 2 progression system overhaul will commence, with Star Cards and loot boxes only being earned through in-game progress. Microtransactions will also be coming back, but they will be used only for cosmetic unlocks. Ahead of the changes, the game’s Reddit community has been putting their heads together to come up with the most wanted new Battlefront 2 skins.

Here’s some highlights of what the community has come up with:

You can see the full list of suggestions here.

I imagine DICE is pretty limited on what can be added to the game. I don’t think we’ll see Luke wielding a rainbow-colored lightsaber, for example, but hey, at least Reddit is excited and showing some love.

If you’re still playing Battlefront 2, let us know what you’d like to see added to the game as a new cosmetic.

In other Star Wars Battlefront 2 news, the game’s progression is getting overhauled alongside the implementation of new microtransactions.

World War Z Game Info: Over 1,000 Zombies Allowed, Destructible Structures Confirmed

Not a lot of info is known about the game based on the Brad Pitt-film, World War Z, aside from it’s being developed by Saber Interactive (NBA Playgrounds), and the game set for release for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Well, at least until today.

While we still don’t know the exact release date or what it looks like in action, we do know a few game details about the the zombie game. In an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine UK issue #147 (via Wccftech), Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch divulged some World War Z game info, and it sounds promising so far.

Karch reveals that the game can showcase 1,0000 (!) zombies, and that it’ll even have destructible structures that will affect gameplay.

The idea is to give players the flexible option to play alone or with friends at any time. To me, the real fun with swarms is the online co-op experience – World War Z is the only game to offer an online experience with such massive quantities of fastmoving enemies.

The sheer quantity of swarming enemies on the screen and the way they interact by climbing over one another to reach areas that would be safe in other games is unique to World War Z. I would say it truly defines the game. Fighting the swarms that can be either one massive enemy or 1,000 individual ones is exhilarating and addicting.

We tried very hard to replicate the feel of the film in this respect. The major difference is that in the film you would normally flee the enemy, but in the game, you will be forced to fight. You can blow up cars to kill hordes of zombies and destroy certain structures to alter their path. You can also build fences, plant mines and barbed wire, and place turrets in anticipation of incoming horde.

Additional details mention ow the game will feature procedural behavior in order to provide a different experience in each mission. Missions are varied as well, which include rescuing survivors, or protecting certain characters, and more.

If you need a refresher, check out the trailer below which was revealed during the game’s reveal during last year’s The Game Awards.

Are you looking forward to this or are you tired of zombie games?

Report: Fortnite Leprechaun Skin Gives Players a Huge Advantage

The Fortnite leprechaun skin doesn’t just look great, it also seems to offer a huge strategic advantage. As showcased during a Ninja Twitch stream, a player equipping the leprechaun skin can appear smaller than normal, making them a tough target to hit.

This is likely not intentional, as these premium skins can be bought, and this kind of purchasable advantage would label Fortnite as pay-to-win, something that I’m sure Epic Games is trying to avoid.

We’re awaiting word from Epic Games on whether this is a bug or glitch, and if there’s going to be a fix. We’ll be sure to update the post with any developments.

You can see the Fortnite leprechaun skin in action below:

If you missed the latest batch of patch notes, click here for everything you need to know about the Fortnite 3.3 update.

In other Fortnite news, it has become the most watched and most streamed game on Twitch, the Flippin’ Sexy emote is driving players wild, and a future update will bridge the Battle Royale and Save the World controls.

Call of Duty: WWII Dom XL Release Date Announced

In this week’s community update by Sledgehammer Games, the studio has finally given a firm release date on Call of Duty: WWII’s “Dom XL” playlist. Those unfamiliar with it, Dom XL is the Domination game mode, but with each kill now granting 100 points (like in previous COD titles), instead of 50.

According to Sledgehammer Games, the COD WW2 Dom XL release date is “tracking” for launch on Friday, March 23 for both standard and hardcore! It will be its own playlist, so players will be able to compare Dom XL with the standard one, and feedback will determine which version will remain in the game moving forward.

Also of note, the chrome camo for guns have been buffed significantly as well! Check out it’s new look below.

Check out the rest of the update here where it talks about the currently on-going Operation: Shamrock & Awe event as well.

Are you used to COD WW2’s Dom scoring or will the 100 points per kill change be a welcome tweak? As a longtime Domination player, I always felt scoring change in COD WW2 wasn’t really a welcome change, but that might just be me.

Don’t forget to check out the patch notes for this past Tuesday’s big game update to see what changed.

Get Paid to Play and Win at Fortnite Battle Royale

The Bidvine Fortnite combination was always bound to happen, and now it finally has. If you’re unfamiliar with Bidvine, it’s a site that lets people hire individuals to complete specific tasks. Previously, we’ve seen requests for Call of Duty “professionals,” and now we’re seeing a call for “Fortnite buddies.”

You can find the requirements — which include a 25 wins accomplished — below.

Share Your Expertise as a Fortnite Buddy Pro Player and Get Paid!

What do you need to be a Fortnite Buddy?

All you need to be a Fortnite Buddy is a strong wireless connection, a PS4, Xbox 1 or a gaming PC. Oh – and at least 25 wins!

How good do you have to be?

To be eligible to work as a Pro Fortnite Buddy you must provide proof of your level and ability. This proof can be a selfie of your face with your Fortnite stats side by side. You will also need to provide a photo ID, have a working PlayStation 4 or Xbox 1, have at least 25 wins, and a strong wireless connection – as outlined above.

Why should you become a Pro Fortnite Buddy?

For lots of us out there, we can’t envision anything better than playing games all day – which is why we launched our Pro Coaching services for Call of Duty and FIFA. However, since then we’ve had an incredible number of requests for Pro Fortnite Buddies, and who are we to say no to what the people want?!

As a Pro Fortnite Buddy, you can expect to earn at least £30 per hour based on similar services, but with Bidvine.com you can set your own prices – so it’s really up to you how much you earn!

What is being a Fortnite Buddy like?

Being a Fortnite Buddy is just like playing the game, except you’re trying to make sure someone else wins – whilst also teaching them how to survive on their own! Obviously, what you’ll be doing within the game depends on what your customer wants, and what they’d like to learn – so you’ll probably be teaching something different every day, whether that be building tips, overall gameplay strategy, or the best weapons to use.

How will you fulfil your customers’ needs?

Your approach to the game will, as we’ve said above, depend on what your customer is looking for. When they’re submitting a request on Bidvine.com, they’ll be given some options for you to focus on – such as the type of training, what areas they’d like to improve on, and how long they’d like their sessions to be.

If you’re interested in becoming a “Fortnite Buddy,” head on over to Bidvine for more information.

In other Fortnite news, it has become the most watched and most streamed game on Twitch, the Flippin’ Sexy emote is driving players wild, and a future update will bridge the Battle Royale and Save the World controls.

New Destiny 2 Faction Rally Rewards May Cause New Monarchy Defeat

In its weekly update, Bungie revealed the next set of Destiny 2 Faction Rally rewards. New Monarchy has won the last three times, and it strikes me as curious that the New Monarchy reward is a grenade launcher, while the other faction rewards are sniper rifles. Perhaps this is a way to persuade players to side with someone other than New Monarchy?

Here’s the full details of the Destiny 2 Faction Rally rewards, which can be earned next week from 10 a.m. PDT, on March 20.

Destiny 2 Faction Rally Rewards

The factions are coming back next week to duke it out again. New Monarchy has lived up to its name, dominating the last three events in a row. Dead Orbit looks to return to glory, and Future War Cult is desperate to get its first win on the board. Next week, all three factions will have their shot. Faction Rallies kicks off at 10 AM PDT on Tuesday, March 20.

Pride isn’t the only thing on the line. New weaponry is now available. Here is what’s been added to the packages reward pool:

Those are not the only new weapons up for grabs. Whichever faction has the most redeemed packages at the end of the event will make their prized weapon available for purchase. Anyone who pledged to the winning faction will pick it up for 1,000 Glimmer. Those who were not loyal can still get it, but it’s going to run them a steep 50,000 Glimmer. Here are the offerings the factions have to entice you to join their cause:

In other Destiny 2 news, several top Destiny YouTubers have lessened their support of the game, Bungie is hiring a new community manager, and the developer explains the faction rewards throttle and incoming adjustments. It also seems like the next DLC will be Destiny 2 The Fallen Warmind, if these leaks are to believed.
