      • Players can vote to turn the Rampage Inducer off and on at will, as often as once per round. All players must vote to disable the feature.
      • If left unused, the Essence canister will explode after Round 20.

    • Addressed an issue where scrolling through the scoreboard with a controller could toggle the flashlight.

Dead Ops Arcade 3

    • Added various stability/exploit fixes.

    • Fixed a crash that could occur if a player disconnected while in the Ikari EggXit bonus area.
  • Gameplay
    • General
      • Players who have disconnected and rejoined a match in progress will now have their score and gem multipliers restored to their most recent level at the end of their most recent round.
      • Adjusted Room of Judgment wave times to grant additional time for Trio and Quad games.
      • A flashlight will now spawn on the Island for Solo Advanced Start modes.
      • First-Person power-up spawns should no longer clump together in order to prevent one player from accidentally consuming them all.
      • Reduced late money spawns after the round is over, so players no longer feel the need to wait around for pickups.
      • Added a small collision ramp to one of the moving platforms by the volcano to make hitting the ramp via boosting easier.
      • Touching or standing in lava will now cause rapid death in First-Person.
    • Bonus Areas
      • Added 5% chance of golden egg spawns to the Chicken Coop bonus area.
      • Ikari EggXit bonus area now properly awards XP.
      • Locked the number of Ikari EggXit bonus area instances to 3 per game.
      • Ikari EggXit bonus area will now be removed from the available pool after Round 130.

      • Nova Crawler
        • Nova Crawlers no longer have an initial movement speed variance set when they spawn in to prevent inconsistent increases/decreases in speed.
        • Nova Crawlers now spawn in at a consistent movement speed but can have their speed boosted by Nova Gas.
      • Werewolf
        • Adjusted Werewolf health and heal logic to alleviate situations where players cannot deal more damage than health being restored.
        • Each time the Werewolf restores health, it will now reduce the amount it can heal subsequently.
      • Pole Zombie
        • Pole Zombie health no longer scales with round number.
        • Increased the time a Pole Zombie is on the map before it considers planting a pole from 4 seconds to 5 seconds.
        • Pole Zombies are now slightly more likely to start a pole plant once it starts considering a plant.
      • General
        • Elephant in The Wild will now be damaged by player chickens.
        • Wolf and Ghost Wolf will no longer kill the player in one bite.
        • Gladiators will no longer have a rare chance to survive a Nuke drop.
  • Audio
    • Replaced level 2 and level 3 firing sounds for LMG/Rocket Launcher/Death Machine weapons with the level 1 fire sound to reduce the loudness of these weapons in First-Person.

      • Addressed an issue where a player rejoining a match in progress might not have their stats and leaderboard data recorded correctly.
    • First-Person
      • Addressed an issue where donating a life could drop an award onto the player that might not be usable (for example, a Nuke could drop on a player who already had max Nukes). When this happened, the pickup could obscure the player’s first-person view.
      • Addressed an issue with missing blood splatter effects in first-person.
      • Addressed an issue where the player could stay in The Wild with a misaligned camera after running through a First-Person power-up before transitioning into a bonus area.
      • Addressed a rare splitscreen issue where a blank dialog box could appear when the player picked up a First-Person power-up.

      • Addressed an issue where the Margwa door at the exit was not being reset to its original closed position on subsequent playthroughs of Ikari EggXit.

      • The circle shrinks as the horde gets stronger. If the Dark Aether Orb collapses, it will implode and destroy the players, ending the match.
      • Shoot the Orb to slow down the shrink rate, or collect clock power-ups to pause the collapse. Completing Surges will revert the Orb to its original size.
  • Challenges
    • Unlock the “Soviet Red” Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint by completing 30 Surges in Diminishing Light.

  • Addressed an issue where applying custom Blueprints in quick succession could result in weapon duplication or loss of functionality.

Previously, it was difficult for players to keep track of the ever-growing collection of player-created game modes. The Custom Game Browser’s new tabs give these modes a chance to shine. The Popular tab shows off some of the most-played modes as well as modes that have started to trend. The Favorites tab lets you build a personal collection of modes – just select the star icon next to any mode you’d like to see in this list. The Recent tab shows modes that you have recently played. Finally, the All Games tab gives you the standard, familiar list of lobbies. We’ve also added the ability to search for lobbies by share code.

In order to help identify modes, we’ve added a new Mode Name setting right above the Description in Custom Game Settings. This Mode Name will be used to represent modes in the Custom Game Browser tabs. Creators are encouraged to reupload their modes with Mode Name filled out. (If it isn’t filled out, the share code itself is displayed instead.)

Since these new features are being used by the public for the first time, we may need to make adjustments to how the Popular tab chooses its modes. If you notice that the Popular tab isn’t showing the modes that you might expect, please be patient with us as we tune the feature to present the best collection of modes that we can.

We’re excited about the possibilities these new features will bring to Custom Games, and we’ll be watching and listening to your feedback to improve the Custom Game Browser experience.

Far Cry 6 PS5 File Size Revealed

With Far Cry 6 only a month away, we are beginning to learn more and more details about this next entry in Ubisoft’s iconic franchise. In this latest info drop, we now know the Far Cry 6 PS5 file size, the details of which is sure to be helpful for those who will be playing this game on the PlayStation 5. Check out the details below.

Far Cry 6 PS5 file size:

  • Download size: 38.945 GB
  • Pre-load date: October 5
  • Official release: October 7

It’s worth noting that the download size for pre-loading Far Cry 6 does not take into account the Day One patch, which can be substantial. Those avidly waiting for this title should hope that Ubisoft manages to release the game’s official 1.0 with as little problems as possible in order to stick to the actual original size listed above. In any case, there’s no harm in reserving more than the file size mentioned either way.

Battlefield 2042 Soundtrack Out on Sept. 22, Here’s the Track List

For those who enjoy the epic music that perfectly compliments the sounds of bullets and warfare, then here is a great piece of niche news for you. The official Battlefield 2042 soundtrack is releasing this September 22, and from there you can immerse yourself in the symphony that will accompany you in your battles, be it in single or multiplayer.

While the official release is still yet to come, you can check out the full track list now which includes a total of 14 tracks from artists Hildur Guðnadóttir and Sam Slater. Check out the full track list below, which can be previewed provided you have an Apple account.

Battlefield 2042 Soundtrack

You can also preview the album on its Apple Music page, where the Battlefield 2042 (Official Soundtrack) album is currently in pre-release. COD Vanguard FOV Slider Confirmed for Consoles; Akimbo, Riot Shields & Bayonet Charge Confirmed Too

There were quite a few surprises in store for hardcore Call of Duty fans today as the multiplayer reveal livestream finally concluded. The stream debuted some interesting facts about gameplay features coming to the game, but one of the most eye-catching is confirmation of the COD Vanguard FOV (field of view) slider for consoles, an in-game setting that was only previously available on PC.

Given how Vanguard is using the Modern Warfare 2019 game engine that didn’t allow for an FOV slider, this is a bit of a surprise.

This neat tidbit was recently confirmed by Sledgehammer Senior Development Director Adam Iscove on  Twitter, where he showed an in-game screenshot from the PlayStation version of the game. It shows the field of view slider maxed out at 120.00, and beside it a comparison of what to expect from different FOVs. The FOV slider for consoles should be available at launch, but not in the beta.

Besides this fact, a quick read over on the official FAQ page for COD Vanguard multiplayer also revealed returning close-quarter weapons for the game, for players who love to get up close and personal. Check out the quote below:

Those who would rather bring a knife to a gunfight should know that Riot Shields are returning in addition to two melee options: a standard-issue knife at launch and a bayonet charge for weapons that can equip this underbarrel blade. And to counter those hand-to-hand combat fiends, Akimbo will return for select weapons, making for a high-powered, yet less accurate, close-quarters option.

Yep, the Akimbo is back. Great news for fans of dual wielding, though I gather those annoyed by akimbo shotgun users won’t be as happy (if it’s available to use dual wield for shotties).

Call of Duty Vanguard Multiplayer Beta Info, Schedule and More Revealed

Following the official multiplayer reveal livestream, Activision has now revealed more details on the Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer beta. For the series’ most avid fans looking to get their hands early on this new-gen shooter, we have everything you need to know below.

Dates:

There are two weekends of the Vanguard Beta.* Internet access is required for both weekends of the Beta.**

Weekend 1: PlayStation® Early Access

Available to those who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Vanguard for PlayStation®5 or PlayStation®4, this first weekend will take place from Friday, September 10 at 10 AM PT to Monday, September 13 at 10 AM PT.

Digital pre-orders will be automatically registered for Early Access — those who pre-order a physical version may find their Early Access code on the retail receipt or sent via e-mail.** Early Access codes — given through physical pre-orders or through special promotions — can be redeemed at callofduty.com/betaredeem while logged into an Activision Account.

This Beta weekend will introduce the following samples of the full MP content:

  • Three brand-new Vanguard maps: Hotel Royal, Red Star, and Gavutu.
  • Three traditional game modes to try — Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Kill Confirmed — and a new one called Patrol, available during Weekend 1.
  • A return to Champion Hill, now with a new weapon set.

Those who participate in the Beta and reach level 20 will receive a Weapon Blueprint for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone (available in Vanguard following the game’s launch on November 5 and in Warzone when the new main map launches later this year). Also, those playing Call of Duty®: Mobile will receive an Arthur Kingsley Operator, available shortly after the end of the Beta.

Weekend 2: Crossplay Beta

Today, we have a special kind of update! As you now know, this is our first update that fully focuses on a previously released pack, giving it new life if you will. Today is the day for self-care for and with The Sims™ 4 Spa Day!

Spa Day is all about relaxation and getting some well-deserved personal Sim time and wellness. With this update, we are adding some features that will help enhance this wellness experience that we hope you enjoy.

Along with these enhancements, we were also able to fix a few issues that were live and needed some care.

Spa Day Updates

Everyone deserves more time to refresh and more ways to renew! In this update, we added the following:

Three new Aspirations and a new Trait

The path to wellness is long but well worth it! Sims can now opt for three aspirational paths to achieve their own Zen:

  • Self-Care Specialists – For those Sims who would like to monetize their love of fitness and wellness.
  • Inner Peace – For the Sims that want to achieve ultimate harmony and learning tools to mitigate their negative emotions.
  • Zen Guru – For the Sims that want to share the power of wellness with the world…the whole world, for real. They also focus on seeking to train their successor to pass the knowledge along.

In addition to these new Aspirations, we added a new trait for those Sims that require a bit of extra work to keep their needs… properly aligned. High Maintenance will allow your Sims to experience mindful tasks that can help their sense of wellbeing. No trouble is trivial, no need is too much.

You can find these new Aspirations and the new Trait in Create A Sim. And don’t forget the Spa Membership included with these Aspirations – it’s a steal!

Manicures and Pedicures

Some people like having a massage to decompress – a valid option… pretty sure I need one –  but my favorite thing is manicures and pedicures! Hear me out! There is something so relaxing about choosing your design, color, shape, and having someone prettify (yes, it is a word… to me) your nails with the utmost care. Now your Sims can get these nail enhancements or graciously give them to other Sims. You can choose a design, a shape, and voilà! Your Sims’ nails will be as fabulous as they feel!

And if you don’t want to get your nails done by a professional- tight budget, totally get it – Sims will have access to the same options in Create A Sim that you can instantly apply to your Sims nails – it’s like insta nails!! You can pick from a variety of swatches with color combinations, designs, or just a solid color for each fingernail. You can also choose a variety of one solid color choices for your Toenails. You can find them in the Accessories category in Create A Sim, where you will see a Fingernails and Toenails sort with the options.

We want to highlight that in this upgrade to Spa Day we have a design from the wonderful  Ebonix that is featured in Create A Sim! Ebonix is a super talented Sims Creator, and we are happy we can feature one of her designs and share it with everyone.

About Yoga and Meditation

Yoga Classes can now take place outside of Spas and Gyms! You can hire a yoga instructor or teach your own class from the Instructor Yoga Mat. Speaking of teaching, Sims can also lead Guided Meditation sessions from Meditation Stools. Oh, and I don’t want to forget to mention that Children are able to practice and teach both Yoga and Meditation as well!

New Objects, Facial Masks… Oh my!

As part of this update, we also added a few new objects and swatches in Build Mode, these include a new luxurious massage table and a massage chair that can also be used for manicures and pedicures for a full relaxation experience. And as an added bonus, there is a new portable massage chair and table, so your Sims can give massages, manicures, and pedicures on the go to earn some Simoleons.

Besides these, we added as part of your Sims’ self-care routine the ability to purchase and apply Facial Masks. They come in a variety of benefits and designs; for ease of access, we recommend having in your preferred lot the Doc Sweet’s Luke-Warm Mini Dispenser. This mini version of the original refrigerator can hold your favorite beverages in a compact space, but as an added benefit, Sims can purchase Facial Masks from it. By the way, don’t forget to try the new Cucumber Power-Sip and cucumber slices for a tasty snack! Also available with this update.

Base Game Updates

For those who don’t own Spa Day, we wanted to give you a treat as well. For Base Game Simmers we added the nail options for fingernails and toenails in Create A Sim for you to enjoy. Same as mentioned previously, there will be choices under the Fingernails and Toenails sort in Create A Sim, there will be a variety of solid one-color nails and color combination nails available for the Base Game itself.

Bug Fixes

Console

  • We fixed an issue in which some of the controls when players are in the Game Options menus were a little off, it should work correctly now.

The Sims 4

  • New games should no longer experience the automatic generation of empty households, and the ensuing save size increase and performance lag that this causes. The team is still investigating how to safely fix existing saves that have this issue.
  • We fixed an issue that affected Custom Content Chairs that when slotted with certain objects it created Sims routing issues.
  • Sometimes, in certain saves, Sims would lose their names when visiting some Lots – most notoriously the Goth’s Lot but it could happen anywhere. If a Sim has no name… does that Sim exist? I can assure you that the Goths were not involved, but this issue should no longer occur.
  • Ever had the need to order food or drinks but you just couldn’t be bothered? Been there, however the issue of Sims and NPCs not being able to order food and drinks autonomously has been fixed. Order away!
  • Have you noticed that your Sims had been doing Fitness things or Dancing if they Disliked those things? Strange no? It should no longer happen as long as they continue to Dislike them of course. As a note, unfortunately (for those affected), Sims are subject to choose music they Dislike still from any stereo so they can still torment other Sims (and Simmers) around them.
  • We fixed an issue in which the Mega Window (Double Budget Grand Deluxe DeLite) in build Mode was missing a few swatches and displayed them as empty.
  • Let’s talk about Unibrows! Are they in? Are they out? No matter, every brow is welcome! We have fixed an issue that didn’t make the thicker unibrow available for female frame Sims and that didn’t make the thinner unibrow available for male frame Sims. So all the unibrows for both frames!
  • Did you ever notice an invisible slot under the All of the Things table? We sure did, and while I think that if it is called “all of the things” it could have all the things, everywhere… I guess? This was not acceptable so we fixed that.

  • The hairstyle yfHair_EP01TwistLow has been tagged correctly in the Updo Hairstyle category. Is it still an Updo even if the bun is low and not up high? These are the questions I ponder sometimes.

Eco Lifestyle

  • If you noticed the Community Voting Board missing from venues across packs in Build Mode, never fear. It has been found and should be safely back in Build Mode.

Dream Home Decorator

  • Ever had such good-looking décor that you can’t just sleep because you have to look at it? As much as we want your Sims to love their décor and their style, we thought it was a bit too much that they would not sleep and just look at it, so this should no longer happen.

Call of Duty Vanguard Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer Pops Off With Guns Blazing

With tons of new stuff confirmed in the official reveal livestream, the Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer trailer is finally here. You can check it out below to see the game in action below:

As mentioned in the trailer, the game is focused on taking Vanguard globally. The war will be taken to four fronts: Eastern Front, Western Front, North Africa and The Pacific. There will be 20 maps available on launch, and a beta will be coming this September 10 on PlayStation 5. COD Vanguard Multiplayer Reveal Stream – Watch It Live

If you’re a Call of Duty fan lucky to not have been spoiled yet a few hours ago, then here is your chance to watch the COD Vanguard multiplayer reveal stream in full, as the stream is happening later today. The stream is expected to debut multiplayer gameplay for Call of Duty: Vanguard, and if you’re interested in finding out how the game will look in multiplayer check out the details below.

When and where to watch the COD Vanguard multiplayer reveal stream:

You can catch the streams on the official Call of Duty Twitch and YouTube channels. The offical reveal will start at 1PM ET/10AM PT/1AM HKT, and will run for about 30 minutes.

For those of you who want to get into the game earlier than everyone else, the Early Access beta will be happening this weekend, and MP1st will be giving away a ton of codes. Stay tuned on the site to know more.

Dead by Daylight Update 2.29 Rolled Out for 5.2.0 Hellraiser Patch This Sept. 7

Behaviour Interactive has released the Dead by Daylight update 2.29 patch today, or what the studio calls update 5.2.0! This enables skill-based matchmaking (SBMM), and includes The Cenobite from the Hellraiser movie franchise into the game.

Features

  • Added an new Killer – The Cenobite
  • Match Results – When players leave a Trial with a Limited Item (Example: The Nemesis’s Vaccine) they will now be notified that they do not get to keep it. It has been consumed by The Entity.
  • Large Text Settings – The players can enable this option to enlarge all texts in the HUD, increasing readability.
  • Skill Based Matchmaking will be enabled separately on September 8th at 11:00AM EDT.
  • Visual Update of the Pallet

Grades and Grade Rewards

  • Grades are replacing Ranks
  • Grades are broken up into five groupings: Ash, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Iridescent
  • Each grouping has four sub-groupings: IV, III, II, I
  • Current Ranks will be translated into their corresponding Grade
  • Rank 20 = Ash IV, Rank 19 = Ash III, Rank 18 = Ash II, Rank 17 = Ash I, Rank 16 = Bronze IV, etc.
  • Grade Resets will happen on the 13th of each month, and all players will be reset to Ash IV for both Killer and Survivor, regardless of their previous Grade
  • Bloodpoint rewards are given out when the reset occurs, based on your previous Grade
  • It is no longer possible to lose enough pips to lose a Grade

Content

The Nemesis Update:

  • Movement speed while charging Tentacle Strike Tier 3 increased to 4.0m/s (was 3.8m/s)
  • Shattered S.T.A.R.S. Badge effect duration increased to 60 seconds (was 30 seconds)
  • Iridescent Umbrella Badge effect duration increased to 30 seconds (was 15 seconds, but was erroneously displayed as 12 seconds)
  • Ritual of The Nemesis reduced to reaching maximum Mutation Rate one time (was 4)

Miscellaneous:

  • Various bug fixes and improvements to address performance issues on the Family Residence, Sanctum of Wrath and Midwich Elementary School.
  • Blood Lodge and The Game maps are re-enabled
  • Updated a variety of survivors hair and facial hair cosmetics.

Dev note: The Nemesis came out in a good state, but has been underperforming slightly in higher skill brackets. These players tend to hit Mutation Rate 3 more often, so a buff here should give him a slight boost at that level of play. Additionally, we have buffed two addons that were underperforming to make them more viable, and made the associated ritual less of a pain to complete.

  • Fixed an issue that caused killers not to hear several sounds for survivors not currently visible on screen. This includes, but is not limited to, footsteps when using the Spirit’s phase walk.
  • Fixed an issue that may cause a hitch to occur when using the Dead Hard perk.
  • Fixed an issue that may cause Dead Hard’s invulnerability not to coincide with the dash effect.
  • Fixed an issue that rarely caused survivors to keep some status effects, such as Lithe’s speed boost, for the remainder of the trial. The icon may now remain, but the effect will not be applied.
  • Fixed an issue that caused bubble indicators not to appear for the Doctor when survivors reach a new madness level, scream while in tier 3 Madness, or fail Snap Out of It skill checks.

  • Fixed an issue that caused survivors not to be revealed by Killer Instinct when performing actions near Victor.

  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused survivor bots to get stuck in front of a killer blocking a vault point.
  • Fixed an issue that caused player names containing a ‘#’ to get truncated in game and on the tally screen.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the unbreakable set to be breakable by the cosmetics previews in the store.
  • Fixed an issue that caused purchases to fail when buying multiple items in a row in the store.

  • The Cenobite’s power description is not using the latest version in all translated languages.
  • The Chain Hunt activation audio notification plays for all Survivors while a Survivor is holding the puzzle box

  • The Dead Dawg Saloon map is disabled and is planned on being re-enabled on 5.2.1.
  • Unable to make progress on the Punch Drunk Achievement.
  • It is possible to stun The Nightmare using a Dream Pallet.

The Cenobite

  • The Cenobite’s voice over lines have been removed due to complications with the audio files.
  • Added a maximum time that The Cenobite can spend inside a gateway.
  • Added a pitch threshold before going to a lower level when placing a gateway as The Cenobite to make placement easier in areas with multiple floors.
  • Gave a short immunity from The Cenobite’s Chain Hunt to recently unhooked survivors.
  • Made the Deep Wound timer pause while performing the Remove Chains interaction.
  • Chains broken with collisions now respawn faster.
  • Increased the speed at which the chain spawner tries spawning a chain after a failed attempt.
  • Increased the collision detection of the chain spawner.
  • Updated the Chain Hunt to always spawn clusters of 3 chains, but the spawning interval is based on the number of healthy/injured Survivors.
  • Picking up the Lament Configuration now stops other Survivor’s Chain Hunt timers, but not the carrier’s. It also stops the Chain Hunt for other Survivors, but not the carrier.
  • To stop a Chain Hunt, the Survivor must Solve the Lament Configuration (if The Cenobite teleports, it also stops the Chain Hunt).
  • Added a cooldown to the Solve interaction to prevent spamming.
  • Increased the value of various score events.
  • Updated the Lament Configuration spawn sound.

  • Changed pallet hit boxes to prevent the killer from getting stunned when on the same side as the survivor dropping the pallet.

NBA 2K22 The City Details Revealed, Exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series Versions

NBA 2K22 is headed to consoles and PC in the span of three days, and publisher 2K Games is releasing more information for the most anticipated sports game releasing this year. In a press release that was provided to us, Visual Concepts has provided more information on NBA 2K22 The City details, a brand-new mode exclusive to the new-gen console versions of the game.

NBA 2K22 The City Details:

  • New City Quests will be solo ventures for players to experiment with their careers off the court, from becoming a fashion mogul to a rap icon;
  • An increased population will make The City feel as if it’s teeming with life, featuring new NPCs to fully bring the world around you together;
  • Ability to upgrade your crib – such as a penthouse with a zipline to take you directly to specific courts – as a player’s home plays a part in MyCAREER as a location where coaches and friends will give players new quests;
  • Explore new buildings added to The City, including a matchmaking building and Club 2K, where players can access music from some of the hottest labels that drop with every Season;
  • Rewards include new ways to get around The City, such as Go-Karts and Inline Skates, new emotes, intros and outros, animations, customized name plates and more.

If you’re planning to play the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, however, do not fret. While you may not have access to The City itself, you are still privy to the Neighborhood, and 2K Games also provided a rundown of what you can expect from this updated version:

The Neighborhood is also returning for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC players. This year, set sail aboard the “Cancha del Mar”; from the lobby to the top deck, each level of the ship is designed to offer various hoops activities. Additionally, Seasons will offer exciting new Excursions that take place in tropical and recognizable locales, with every Season providing fresh content, new rewards, and unique events for engagement.

NBA 2K22 is releasing this September 10 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Alan Wake Remastered Officially Announced, Out This Fall & Will Include Updated Visuals

It seems another retailer did out a game’s existence before its official announcement, as Remedy has today confirmed that Alan Wake Remastered is indeed a reality! It’s set for release this fall for the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and on PC via Epic Games Store (Epic Games will be publishing the title).

The announcement was made on The Sudden Stop website that focuses on projects by Remedy Entertainment. Remedy has shared that the project is “nearing its completion,” and that it will include updated visuals.

Here’s an excerpt from the announcement by Sam Lake, Creative Director of Remedy:

The original game was only available for Xbox 360 and a few years later, PC. We are thrilled about the opportunity to bring the remastered version out for a new generation of platforms. I am excited to hear what you think about Alan Wake.

Alan Wake Remastered is the original experience you fell in love with all those years ago. We did not want to change that. But the visuals all around, including the character model of Alan Wake himself and the cinematics, have been updated and improved with some choice next-generation upgrades.

Alan Wake Remastered will launch this fall. Stay tuned for more information soon.

Hell Let Loose PS5 Open Beta and Xbox Series X Pre-Order Bonuses Announced

With Hell Let Loose now officially confirmed for new-gen consoles, publisher Team17 and developer Black Matter has also provided important information on the game before its official release. The Hell Let Loose PS5 open beta and Xbox Series X pre-order bonuses were announced, and it’s important to note some distinctions between the two consoles:

  • Only the PS5 version of Hell Let Loose will have a beta, scheduled to run between September 16 to 20. It will be an open beta.
  • Pre-orders for the Xbox Series console version of Hell Let Loose will be live at September 7, from 1:00 PM EST onwards. It will include pre-order bonuses.

If you’re wondering what to expect from the PS5 open beta for Hell Let Loose, a press release provided by Team17 states the following:

The PlayStation 5 open beta will provide a brutal taste of war, as both sides fight for victory on the Hurtgen Forest map in Warfare mode, which sees each side begin the battle occupying half of the map. From there, they’ll have to push the opposition back and secure enemy territory for themselves until they reach their base, or hold the most ground until the timer runs out. At launch, Warfare will be joined by Offensive mode where one side plays the role of attacker and the other acts as defender, while Hurtgen Forest will be joined by maps set across the Western Front, from the windswept sands of Utah and Omaha beaches to the brutal house-to-house, street-to-street urban fighting across Carentan.

Those who preorder Hell Let Loose on Xbox Series X|S will receive The Silver Vanguard cosmetic downloadable content. Hell Let Loose is arriving on the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles on October 5, just a month from now. Here are some of the key features of Hell Let Loose:

  • The brutality of the War in Europe: Hell Let Loose portrays the battles of the Western Front across two distinct modes, Offensive and Warfare.
  • Authentic strategic gameplay: Each side of 50 players is broken down into armour, infantry, and recon, led by officers with a direct line to an overall player-commander directing the flow of the game.
  • Unique metagame: Extended battles entrench participants in the tidal-like motion of the frontline that builds up Hell Let Loose’s real-time strategy inspired metagame.
  • Playing a Part: Fourteen roles are available for players to experience, from engineers and snipers, commanders and tank crewmen, medics and support; all play a part in the war effort.

No Man’s Sky Update 3.63 Flies Out for More Fixes This September 7

Hello Games has released the No Man’s Sky update 3.63 September 7 patch, and once again, this is for a set of fixes for the game following the Frontiers update. For those keeping score, this is the fourth patch released within two weeks. The patch has been released on PC yesterday, but on consoles this shows as the 3.63 update (3.063 on PS5).

Patch Notes

  • Fixed an issue that caused debug-only base parts to appear in the Catalogue.
  • Fixed a number of snapping issues when placing fireplaces or NPC terminals to large rooms.
  • While base building, the rotation option now has acceleration to allow faster turning while still retaining detailed control.
  • Fixed a number of issues that could cause power lines to fail to appear.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to place an unlimited number of special parts (such as Exocraft geobays) within close proximity of each other.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could cause severe visual glitches when pushing the building and photo mode cameras into very specific situations.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause players to be backed out of base building mode accidentally.
  • Improved the use of the D-pad in base building controls, in order to minimise accidental presses.

  • Added a recovery for players who lost their primary Multi-Tool after accepting a blank tool from an upgrade/purchase UI. Note: the appearance of this erroneous UI screen was fixed in Patch 3.62.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Electrical Cloaking Unit to work incorrectly.
  • Fixed a physics issue that could cause players to get snagged while moving around the Space Anomaly.
  • Fixed a PlayStation 5 specific issue that could cause some trophies to fail to unlock.

Ubisoft has released the latest (Assassin’s Creed) AC Valhalla update 4.10 patch, Title Update 1.3.1 this September 7, and it is a gigantic one. This big patch is expected to drop some very big changes to gameplay, as well as some new content for avid players to check out. -NEW CONTENT-

River Raids Update

  • Added 3 new Rivers to the RIVER RAIDS game mode. (Erriff, Berbha, Rhine)
    • Face 2 River Champions and the new Champions of the Faith. Defeat them to get your hands on new weapons.
  • Added new rewards to River Raids (Lugh’s Armor and 5 weapons – including a short sword)
  • Jomsviking Hall can be upgraded to Level 4-5, allowing players to hire Jomsviking of Level 4-5, respectively.
    • Jomsviking of higher rank can carry more rations and do more damage to enemies.
  • River Raid Longship cargo can be upgraded to Level 4-5.
  • 3 new abilities can be found in River Raids monasteries:
    • Spinning Harpoon = Eivor performs a spinning attack that can be combined with other harpoon-based abilities. Enemies caught in the spin are knocked back
    • Percussion Arrow = Hit an enemy’s Shield to create a shockwave that staggers and damages nearby enemies.
    • Precision Axe Throw = Eivor performs a devastating axe throw that targets an enemy’s weak point.

Rune Perk Changes

  • Targeted Rune socketing – This update means that RUNES will only affect the weapon they are socketed in, allowing players to create more targeted loadouts.
    • For example, you could fill your left-hand weapon with Attack runes and your right-hand weapon with Stun runes so that both weapons have very different effects.
    • Some stats will stay global (example: Assassination damages, Fire damages, etc.).
    • No changes have been made to Runes slotted on armor; they will still impact your character as a whole.
  • Perk & Rune Perk Cap removal – We also removed the CAP that prevented Perks & Rune Perks (diamond shape) effects from stacking beyond a certain threshold.
    • Players will now always see the impact of their Perks and be able to create more specialized loadouts.

Difficulty Setting Adjustments

  • Added Aesir (Nightmare) combat difficulty to the game.
    • +200% damages received
    • Standard damage inflicted
    • -40% rations heal
    • -38% Parry timing windows
  • Players will now heal according to their selected difficulty setting:
    • Easy & Default = 100%
    • Hard = 80%
    • Very Hard = 60%
    • Nightmare = 60%

  • Bed in Dublin was no longer accessible.
  • Courting the Kings doesn’t update after freeing prisoners.
  • Trial of the Morrigan cannot be started if it has been completed in a previous playthrough.
  • Dublin’s Reach couldn’t be completed as Azar was dead.
  • Black Shuck attacked the player before the start cinematic camera ends.

Main Quests, World Events, and Side Activities

Addressed:

  • Daily Quest Dialogue Scene takes a long time to load and will end up having the camera underground when the Daily Quest menu opens.
  • Basim was missing at the beginning of Severing the Lines.
  • Unable to complete Under the Skin as Vili was stuck in the water.
  • Quest marker missing in Smashing the Compass Probably shouldn’t have smashed that compass
  • Unable to speak to Soma after regrouping in An Island of Eels
  • Unable to go fishing with Ceolbert in Bloody Path to Peace. Ceolbert will never know peace
  • Unable to complete the world event King of the Hay People.
  • Unable to complete the investigation of the three clues in In the Absence of an Ealdorman.
  • Unable to complete the quest Walls and Shadows as the cinematic didn’t start. * it’s all walls and shadows*
  • No stones around to complete the Stoneman mystery.
  • Unable to complete the Eurvicscire arc as player received Road to Hamartia after completing This Son of Jorvik.
  • Old cellar mystery couldn’t be completed as the tablet wasn’t there.
  • Unable to interact with NPC in Goddess of Birth.
  • Players sometimes didn’t receive Orphans of the Fens after completing the quest The Great Scattered Army.
  • Unable to access the quest The Way of the Berserker (with Ubisoft Connect overlay disabled)
  • The duel with Dag didn’t trigger after sleeping during A Storm is Brewing.
  • Hunwald doesn’t follow Eivor if they meditate after a drinking mini game in Homecoming.
  • The boss in Extended Family could get stuck under certain circumstances.
  • A Plague of Rats not working during the last phase of the fight with Dag.

River Raids & Mastery Challenge

Addressed:

  • Enemies disappear from some River Raids locations after looting a chest, or it resets.
  • Looting resource chests does not award Fabrics after fully completing at least 1 Mastery Challenge shrine.
  • Unable to return to the settlement after a River Raid.
  • Unable to start the River Raids tutorial after loading an auto-save twice during A River to Raid.
  • NPCs fell from their stations occasionally and died in Mastery Challenge.
  • Oil jars exploded before entering the Templebrough Fort Ranged Challenge if exiting and restarting the trial after destroying them.
  • The alert level didn’t increase when raiding a Fortress.
  • Mastery Challenge achievements and trophies didn’t transfer between platforms.
  • Gold medal couldn’t be obtained anymore during stealth trial in Calleva Outpost, under certain circumstances.

Graphics, Audio, and Animation

Addressed:

  • Numerous graphics or lighting issues.
  • Various animation issues.
  • Numerous Menu Narration issues.

Gameplay, Combat, and AI

Addressed:

  • Numerous NPC behavior issues.
  • Finisher Cameras for some animal takedowns isn’t disabled while option is turned off.

World

Addressed:

  • Instances where Eivor, NPCs, or the longship would get stuck.
  • Instances of misplaced or floating objects or textures.
  • Fast travel to Viewpoints while disembarking could cause Eivor to offset from the location.

User Interface/HUD

Addressed:

  • Numerous UI/HUD issues.
  • Numerous VFX, GFX, UI elements weren’t adapted for colorblind modes.
  • The Sort By call to action in the runes section will now display the next sorting option available and not the one that is currently applied.

Skills & Abilities

Addressed:

  • Paladin perk for increased stamina consumption on attack didn’t apply
  • Scythe of Tribulation Perk wasn’t working correctly.
  • Couldn’t sprint while on the mount after acquiring Heidrun Slam.
  • Moon’s Cut perk activated if the player shot any object.
  • Auto-pathing is not functional on main skill nodes.
  • Eivor kept an arrow in their hand after using some range abilities.
  • Crescent Shield’s perk activates only once after a parry and doesn’t stack.

Performance and Stability

  • Improved performance and stability.

COD Vanguard Multiplayer Gameplay Leaks Before the Offiical Reveal

We honestly shouldn’t be surprised by now whenever something Call of Duty-related leaks, as it happens ever year. While the COD Vanguard multiplayer reveal is a few hours away, Vanguard multiplayer gameplay has leaked! There are two clips, with one over 12 minutes long.

We can see the movement, and how it’s similar to Modern Warfare 2019, which isn’t a surprise given they both use the same engine. We also see the loadouts menu, which again, might seem familiar to Call of Duty players.

If you don’t care much for the quality, remember that the offical reveal will start at 1PM ET/10AM PT/1AM HKT, and will run for about 30 minutes. After that, expect content creators to roll out beta gameplay footage. We’ll compile some later today to feature some of the good ones that showcase the gameplay in full.
