Monark School RPG From Former Shin Megami Tensei Staff Trailer Leaked, Teaser Website Online

One of the most awaited announcements coming to this year’s E3 just got some info released online, as the Monark school RPG from former Shin Megami Tensei staff had its trailer leaked, and the teaser website for the game is online as well.

According to a report, the trailer leaked in the Furyu channel before it was subsequently deleted — with the release date of the game revealed as October 10 in Japan.

While details are still at a minimum at this point, what is known is that the Monark website is up and includes a mysterious Japanese phone number with some viral campaign stuff going out to help promote the game as detailed by Gematsu.

The website also includes the Japanese phone number 050-3204-4961. If you call the number, you will hear some struggling and a scream, followed by a man saying something like, “Finally. I’ve been waiting for you, my foolish, silly, precious child.”

The source code of the website contains the text: “Four choices. Four fates. The choice is your ego’s to make. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” The common name of the domain seems to be cs.furyu.jp (thanks, @Renka_schedule), suggesting it is a FuRyu title.

Speaking of leaks and RPGs, the upcoming Atlus game sequel Shin Megami Tensei also had its website leak its release date — which you can read about here.

With just a few days to go before Battlefield 2021 is revealed, it looks like EA is ready to bring the hype, as the Battlefield 2021 reveal livestream countdown has launched! There is an actual embedded video that’s set to go live in 46 hours!

The background of the video is the same as the garbled, washed up short clips sent to content creators over the weekend, too!

There’s also a message that popped up stating “all systems offline” and mentioning how there’s 10 percent loading!

https://twitter.com/Battlefield/status/1401915648071159810

In addition to the countdown livestream, the official Battlefield account has gotten a facelift as well! Here’s the new profile cover photo of the account:

Image

Not to be left out, the main studio behind the franchise — and this year’s game — DICE, has also changed their profile cover photo and picture:

Needles to say, that blurred out stuff is obviously connected to the game, which we’re hoping gets decoded before the official reveal this Wednesday, June 9.

If you haven’t seen it yet, unofficial gameplay screenshots have apparently surfaced, which you can check out here.

Stay tuned for more Battlefield 2021 news here on MP1st! It looks like we’re in for quite a ride!

Dying Light Update 1.36 Released (Enhanced Edition 1.30) for June 7

Techland has released the Dying Light update 1.36 patch today, which will show up as 1.30 for The Following – Enhanced Edition! This is the second Hellraid update, which brings a new story mode, and more new stuff into the zombie game’s expansion.

Dying Light Update 1.36 Patch Notes:

  • We’ve added story mode to Hellraid
  • Now players can choose between story mode and raid mode upon entering Hellraid
  • We’ve introduced a new Hellraid rank: Vanquisher
  • We’ve added new sounds and animations
  • Level’s contours now appear on the minimap
  • We’ve added new weapons—a bow (in story mode) and a two-handed hammer, and a stamina potion
  • Players will now encounter a new enemy—a skeleton with a large shield
  • Players no longer need to stash and retrieve their equipment upon entering and leaving Hellraid
  • Balance and visual changes
  • Minor tweaks and bug fixes

Dust off your weapons and turn on the old arcade machine again, adventurer.

Something’s happened inside Ba’al’s Temple and now you can feel two energies calling you from within.

One seems familiar, you might’ve heard it before, answered it even. Yet still, it feels changed. But the other one, it’s new. Though mysterious and eerie, the more you listen to it, the more it attracts you. So much that you can’t help but peek at what’s behind the portal…

New challenges to face, new areas to discover, and an ally who needs your help—an ancient conflict reignites and you must prepare for an inevitable clash.

But remember the mysteries of the Ba’al’s Temple are well-guarded, and the fate of the one person who could guide you to the truth depends on you. Should you succeed, however, you’ll earn a powerful bow, Corrupted Justice, which might tip the balance in the upcoming confrontation with the forces of evil.

We’ll be adding more quests to the story mode with future updates as we gradually unveil the plot.

While waiting for the new episodes, check out what’s changed in raid mode, as

we’ve introduced visual and gameplay changes into the whole realm.

You’ll notice the Temple’s atmosphere is much grimmer now and encounter a new type of enemy—a skeleton with a large shield. Kill it for a chance to get

Bonecruncher

, a two-handed hammer, but don’t sweat it if luck’s not on your side. You can also get it as a reward for reaching a new rank—

Vanquisher

Don’t forget, the game has different version numbers depending on the region and version, but 1.36 is the latest one for US.

In other Dying Light news, Techland has launched the “Techland GG” which is a community hub for Dying Light fans!

Thanks, Steam!

Hood Outlaws & Legends Update 1.000.400 June 7 Patch Notes, Fixes Bugs & More

Sumo Digital has released the Hood Outlaws & Legends update 1.000.400 June 7 patch (1.04 on last-gen), which brings a load of fixes, and even a balancing change to assassinations. Head on below for the full patch notes.

Hood Outlaws & Legends Update 1.000.400 June 7 Patch Notes:

Balancing

  • Assassinations can now be interrupted if damage to assassin exceeds a certain threshold (read more here) TLDR: most basic attacks interrupt it now.

Combat

  • Players can now exit stagger/stun more consistently through dodging/blocking, to reduce situations where players would get stunlocked

Matchmaking

  • Players on EGS can now invite players on Steam to their group.
  • After the end of a match, players are moved back to the hideout, but remain in their squads. This should reduce matchmaking times because before, players were leaving the automatic queue in order to return to the hideout, which had a negative impact on queue times.
  • Rank is no longer displayed in the lobby.

Winch

  • Improved ability to interact with winch when standing close to it
  • Added feedback alert for when an enemy team reaches a new winching notch

Trophies

  • “…The Ballad Unfolds” and “…The Ballad Ends” trophies can now be unlocked. It won’t be automatically unlocked for those who already fulfilled the requirements. This fix is coming in the next update.

Challenges

  • Fixed challenges that involve tagging

Voice Chat

  • [Xbox One, Xbox Series] Fixed mute not applying when a user had been muted via their gamercard during gameplay.

UI

  • Fixed Ctrl appearing when trying to bind a key to Right Shift or Alt Gr
  • Added missing home spawn icon on Citadel for both teams
  • Tweaked some texts in the post-match screen for clarity
  • Fixed the respawn timer sometimes appearing blurred as if in the background

Other Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the tag not being removed for enemy players when a Marianne used her ability after getting tagged by an AI
  • Fixed collision pushing mechanic forcing characters to rotate in certain instances
  • Fixed visual effect of Gold coins falling out of chest when it was dropped
  • [Xbox One, Xbox Series] Fixed black screen when returning to Hideout
  • Fixed Tooke’s weapon disappearing if he used his ability right after climbing down a rope

Gamer Creates Mod to Use Ring Fit on Overwatch Where Squatting & Jogging Controls the Game

Do people think you’re not getting enough exercise due to playing too much video games? Can’t workout due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic? That hasn’t deterred one gamer, as he has managed to mod the Ring Fit Nintendo Switch controller to make it work on Overwatch, with controls requiring you to actually walk and squat!

Reddit user SuperLouis64 demos his latest workout routine where you actually need to walk in order to move in the game (can’t walk backwards though), and if you want to unleash your ultimate, you’ll need to do actual squats!

I made a Ring Fit Adventure Mod for Overwatch! Control the game by Jogging and doing Squats
byu/SuperLouis64 inOverwatch

Given how he looks after just an hour of playing, it seems his little experiment worked! He managed to sweat up a lot all the while playing a video game. Mind, I don’t see this catching on soon given the limitations players have in actually doing well in the game, as even walking to the objective seems to be tiring (he even mentions how there is so much walking in the game — more than people realize).

In other Overwatch news, go check out some of the biggest changes coming to Overwatch 2, which includes shaking up team comps by having the game limited to 5v5 with only one tank per team!

CDPR Internal Cyberpunk 2077 Bug Montage Videos “ElBuggado 2020” and Pre-Alpha Footage Surface (NSFW)

It’s no secret by now that Cyberpunk 2077 has quite a litany of bugs that are still being squashed by CD Projekt RED (CDPR) with patches up to this day. Well, it seems even the devs know how much bugs are in the game, as a slew of internal Cyberpunk 2077 bug montage videos has been unearthed via the game’s leaked source code!

Note that some of the footage below is considered NSFW (not safe for work)!

CDPR calls the video “ElBuggado 2020” which kind of tells you how bad it is. The videos have been posted on 4chan (via Reddit), and rang from a chicken not animating properly, textures not loading, and so much more! There’s even one video where it has the X-Files soundtrack as the background music (juse because).

In addition to the Cyberpunk 2077 bug montage internal video, there’s also pre-alpha gameplay footage from 2013 that surfaced too!

<

Chances are, this won’t be the last internal stuff obtained from the stolen source codes, and we’re honestly curious what we’ll see next.

New Destiny 2 Iron Banner Schedule for June 2021 Announced

Guardians, Lord Saladin is back in the Tower again this coming week! Bungie has announced the new Destiny 2 Iron Banner schedule for June 2021, along with an update on some reward issues players might have encountered with the last Iron Banner event.

Update: Iron Bounties for June 8 listed here!

New Destiny 2 Iron Banner Schedule for June 2021:

Starts: June 8, 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/1 a.m. HKT

Ends: June 15, 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/1 a.m. HKT

In terms of rewards, Bungie has acknowledged the issues some might have gotten with the Riiswalker Shotgun and Archon’s Thunder Machine Gun!

Last Iron Banner, the Riiswalker Shotgun and Archon’s Thunder Machine Gun were introduced through a Seasonal quest. We quickly identified an issue where these new tools of destruction weren’t available through alternate means. If you’ve been holding tokens for future loot, it’s almost time to sell. I could make a joke about diamond hands here, but I think you’ve already connected those dots.

Don’t forget, a big Stasis tuning update was rolled out just a few days ago that drastically changed how some abilities performed in PvP!

Once the Iron Banner is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know of the Bounties and rewards.

There’s a PS Vita Bully Port Now Available Thanks to Modders

While Rockstar Games has still not done anything with its Bully franchise other than updating its trademark for it recently, someone decided to take matters into their own hands, and released a Bully PS Vita port!

Modder Andy Nguyen (his bio says he’s a Security Engineer at Google), decided to port Rockstar’s Bully to Android so it can be played on the PlayStation Vita! Of course, if you want to play it, you’ll need a jailbroken Vita, which isn’t really that hard to do (attempt at your own risk, of course).

Having said that, the game doesn’t run smoothly, as the github where the instructions are listed also mentions the following issues:

  • The official game does not free unused textures (as modern smartphones have more RAM than the PS Vita) and as such, the game will crash after a long gameplay.
  • If the game crashes, and there are files available in ux0:data/Bully/glsl, please send them to us. If there are too many, then it is because you forgot to install gamefiles.zip, in which case do not send us the files.

Someone with a PS Vita tried it, and yes, it works!

https://twitter.com/afghanambition/status/1401180545556619268

Given how Sony seems to be on the brink of closing down the PlayStation Store on the handheld, it seems modders will need to support it themselves with these ports and whatnot.

Battlefield 2021 Cryptic Short Clips Being Sent Out to Content Creators

While Battlefield 2021 isn’t set to be formally revealed until June 9, EA has started the hype train by sending out messages to content creators yesterday over on Twitter. Even if it’s the weekend, that hasn’t stopped, as short garbled video clips are being sent out now by the official Battlefield Twitter account!

YouTuber Westie has tweeted a 10-second clip on what looks to be a blurred video, which he guesses is a chopper:

Other content creators got one as well, which seems to feature a different short clip:

https://twitter.com/jackfrags/status/1401187573914013700

People are getting new clips in their DM’s, helis, buildings, etc
byu/DANNYonPC inBattlefield6

We’re sure other content creators got sent messages too, though we can’t say if they’re the same clips or something different. Hopefully, the Battlefield community can figure it out, and once they do, we’ll be sure to let our readers know what’s been unearthed from these clips.

Chances are, we’ll be getting teases and whatnot almost everyday — if not everday — until the official reveal trailer drops. If that happens, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Report: Shin Megami Tensei 5 Website Leaks November 11 Release Date

Fans of Atlus and the Shin Megami Tensei series may now know when the next installment of the series will be released, as the Shin Megami Tensei 5 website leaks November 11 as the release date of the sequel.

According to a report by Persona Central, the Japanese website of Shin Megami Tensei 5 inadvertently revealed the date — which also includes details about the game as well as its pricing for its standard and limited edition releases.

The official Japanese website for Shin Megami Tensei V was mistakenly updated with release details for the upcoming game, including its release date of Thursday, November 11, 2021. As the information came from a Japanese website, it is possible that this release date is only for Japan, however the game was previously stated to have a worldwide release, so it would presumably close to other territories.\

Since the release of the original Shin Megami Tensei in 1992, the series has gained popularity for its dark worldview, anarchy scenario, and original systems of fighting with demons and gods as companions. This series even led to the creation of the Persona and Devil Summoner series.

Shin Megami Tensei V maintains the appeal of the series, while adding high-quality visuals via the latest hardware.

This is a new experience unlike ever before.

It’s likely the information released was intended to be during the Nintendo Direct: E3 2021 presentation that will happen on June 15 — which will still happen but fans have an idea of the sequel’s release window.

Atlus has been pretty busy with delivering some good J-RPG titles, and Persona 5 Strikers is one of them — which you can read our review here.

Borderlands Movie Reveals Silhouette Posters of the Cast

Prepare to dive into the world of Gearbox Software’s in the big screen, as the Borderlands movie by director Eli Roth reveals six new silhouette posters of the cast — and sharp eyed fans may be able to recognize some of them immediately by just looking!

As revealed in the official Twitter page of the movie, the posters were revealed along with captions describing their characters.

First up is Lilith, as played by Academy Award winning actress Cate Blanchett,

“With me around, you might actually get somewhere.” – Lilith #BorderlandsMovie

The next batch of photos and captions were shared by actress Jaime Lee Curtis, and will be for Roland/ Kevin Hart, Patricia Tannis/ herself, Tiny Tina/ Ariana Greenblatt, Krieg/ Florian Munteanu, and the robot ClapTrap as voiced by Jack Black!

Alright #Roland, former soldier of the Crimson Lance. Part bandit, part hunter, and part renegade… But all I’m allowed to show you is the silhouette part. #BorderlandsMovie is going to be WILD and we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve has been up to!

Exceptional scientist. Brilliant archaeologist. Acute sociophobe. That’s Patricia #Tannis in a nutshell! You’re all in for a treat with #BorderlandsMovie. I guarantee it.

Here’s a lil shadow shaped like #TinyTina! She’s just your typical interplanetary orphan with a genuine love for blowing things up. Also loves tea parties with stuffed animals! Get ready for BADONKADONK TIME (aka #BorderlandsMovie)!

Not your average Psycho…#Krieg is just trying to get through each day in Pandora, one axe rampage at a time. He’s also besties with #TinyTina. #BORDERLANDSMOVIE!!

CL4P-TP is a general purpose steward bot (think bulletproof Roomba with limitless knowledge but crippling anxiety). If he had any friends, they’d call him #CLAPTRAP! Get ready for #BorderlandsMovie, now in production!

Several other actors have been cast in the Borderlands movie, which you can check out in our archives here.

The Borderlands movie is now in production and has no release date scheduled yet.
