Days Gone PC Release Date Revealed, Hitting Steam and Epic Games This May

One of the PlayStation 4’s best open world post apocalyptic adventure games is making its way to the PC pretty soon, as the Days Gone PC release date has been revealed — with the Sony Bend made game hitting digital retail stores like Steam and Epic Games this May.

Check out the new features trailer released by the developers.

Here’s the word on the release straight from the folks at the PlayStation Blog.

Days Gone is coming to PC! We cannot wait to see more players experience the epic journey of Deacon St. John, a former outlaw biker now drifter and bounty hunter trying to survive in a post- apocalyptic open world where danger lurks around every corner. Explore the sprawling Pacific Northwest high-desert on your trusty Drifter bike as you try to maneuver around collapsed bridges, abandoned vehicles, ambush traps and blocked tunnels. Scavenge supplies from abandoned buildings to craft assorted items, barter with local camps and gear up for the ride through an infested ever-changing environment.

We are very excited to share our first look of Days Gone on PC with our features trailer. Catch a glimpse on what PC features you can expect to see when booting up Days Gone for the first time on May 18, 2021. Days Gone is available now for Pre-Purchase from a range of digital retailers, including Steam and Epic Games Store.

On related Days Gone news, a sequel was pitched with co-op and a connected universe — which sadly never got the greenlight from Sony.

Days Gone will be out for the PC on May 18. The PS4 version, which you can read our review here, is already out and available. No word on whether Sony plans on releasing a fully upgraded version for the PS5.

Outriders Update 1.06 April 15 Fixes Inventory Wipe Glitch

Are you one of the many people affected by the Outriders inventory wipe glitch? If so, rejoice! People Can Fly has released the Outriders update 1.06 April 15 patch, and it’s to fix this massive bug! Head on below for the official details.

Outriders Update 1.06 April 15 Patch Notes:

Here’s the full message from People Can Fly:

Hello Everyone,

We have just released a patch on Steam, Epic, Xbox and PlayStation platforms that addresses the bug that has, since the previous update, been causing the inventories of certain players to be wiped.

If your inventory has been impacted, please note that our efforts to restore your items are a separate process from today’s released patch. Restoring the inventory of affected players is still our highest priority, while today’s patch is intended to prevent the issue from continuing to occur. The restoration process is run via our server database and does not require a patch to be implemented. We will have news of this very soon.

IMPORTANT:

  • With this new patch, some players may occasionally encounter multiplayer connectivity issues followed by inventory items being momentarily invisible. This is a known and only temporary behaviour that is part of our three-step inventory safeguarding measures.
    • Restarting your game or waiting a few minutes and then restarting your game should make your items appear again.
  • We aim to address the occurrence of these edge cases in a future patch.
  • If you do encounter a wipe that occurs after installing the patch and is not resolved following a game restart, please immediately report this in this Edge Case sub-thread.

While we are confident that the patch will prevent inventory wipes in future, we do want to use the weekend to continue monitoring the situation and ensure that no more players are encountering any related issues before we move onto the restoration process.

As soon as we are satisfied by the patch’s effectiveness, we will share extra details including timelines of our upcoming Inventory Restoration process.

While our teams have mainly focused on preventing any further inventory wipes, we have also continued to look at ways of improving our restoration process. We will update you with these final details as soon as we have tested it and confirmed what is possible.

For any affected characters currently encountering a “Couldn’t Connect to Server”: these characters will have their inventories returned and they will become fully playable again as soon as our restoration process has completed.

Please keep an eye out for our upcoming announcements regarding restoration and other Outriders related news updates.

In other Outriders news, don’t forget to check out our review of the looter shooter. We also posted the complete list of mods for weapons and armors, too.

  • Fixed a script error when starting a Void Storm mission that’s just about to expire.
  • Fixed a script error when entering a Railjack Turret.

That’s it for this patch. Once we know more about the future content drops, we’ll share that with our readers.

Resident Evil Village Upgrades Video Details How Players Survive Through the Adventure

Players waiting for the next Resident Evil have some pretty intense new game mechanics to look forward to, as a new Resident Evil Upgrades video has been released that details how players survive through the course of the adventure.

Check out this new gameplay presentation from the folks over at Gameinformer.

Unlike other past Resident Evil adventures, RE Village will allow players to hunt down wildlife in a manner similar to other action RPGs, and the meat they harvest from these animals can be traded with the merchant character known as the Duke — who’ll cook up some dishes that will improve the player’s statistics such as health, movement speed, and much much more.

Additionally much like the past action oriented RE games, the Duke will also sell weapon upgrades — to improve the player’s arsenal to take on much more powerful foes. Some of the enemies you encounter through the game will also drop valuables and other possessions, which can be sold to the merchant and reward you with currency needed to purchase these upgrades.

There’s an upcoming Resident Evil Showcase digital event this April 15 that promises to detail more information about RE Village. Stay tuned for that!

Resident Evil Village will be released for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC on May 7.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge New Gameplay Revealed, Coming to Switch

Get ready to say Cowabunga if you love TMNT and own a Switch, as Dotemu and Tribute Games have confirmed at Nintendo’s Indie World presentation that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch — with a new gameplay trailer released to give fans of the series a true nostalgic beat ’em up to look forward to!

Here’s the new gameplay trailer released by the developers themselves!.

Via press release, here’s the overview of the game — which takes inspiration from the classic 1987 animated series many turtle fans grew up with.

Publisher Dotemu and developer Tribute Games in partnership with Nickelodeon today announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is bringing its classically inspired brawling action to Nintendo Switch. The news was part of Nintendo’s Indie World presentation and follows previous confirmation of the game coming to PC.
During the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, Tribute Games Co-Founder Jean-Francois Major and Dotemu CEO Cyrille Imbert confirmed the heroes in a half shell are chasing the Foot Clan to Switch before sharing new gameplay. The Turtles unleash radical special moves and gnarly combos in the footage, bashing foes throughout areas reminiscent of classic TMNT games such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Catch the side scrolling action by viewing the gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GemOAwU-9fo
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge’s lively battles are backed by original music from Tee Lopes, a composer and arranger previously featured in Sonic Mania, League of Legends, and Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom among other releases. A sample of Lopes’ wickedly energetic melodies can be heard in today’s gameplay trailer.
Inspired by the Turtles’ iconic 1987 design, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge brings New York City’s most righteous ninjas to life with gorgeous pixel art that’d look right at home in your favorite retro arcade. From showdowns with infamous rivals like Bebop and Rocksteady to returns to signature locales like Dimension X, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a bodacious celebration of classic TMNT beat-em-ups with its own modern touches.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge joins two retro gaming experts: Dotemu, the developer and publisher known for faithful ports as well as impeccable remakes and continuations of beloved gaming series including Streets of Rage 4, the smash hit nominated for Best Action game at The Game Awards 2020, as well as the upcoming Windjammers 2 and highly lauded Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap; and Tribute Games, the studio behind retro-themed original IPs including Panzer Paladin, Flinthook and Mercenary Kings which embody the spirit of classic games in new experiences. Tribute Games also houses key talent behind the acclaimed Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game beat-em-up and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game released for Game Boy Advance in 2007.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge was announced last month for consoles and PC, but was just confirmed for the Switch. No release date has been announced by Dotemu for the game yet.

How to Move PS5 Games to External HDD to Make More Console Space

In case you missed the big news today, Sony released a new firmware update for the PS5 that added the ability to store PS5 games on an external hard drive. If you are wondering how this is done, we here at MP1st have prepared a short guide, detailing how to move PS5 games to an external HDD.

How to Move PS5 Games to External HDD

Honestly it’s not a very complicated process. To get started, all you need to have is an external HDD that supports USB connectivity. We recommend an external HDD that supports USB 3.0 as the speeds are far faster in terms of transfer rate. A external SSD is also one we recommend, but if it’s cost purposes definitely a USB 3.0 supported drive. If you are using one already for PS4 games this same one will also work. You PS5 also has to be up-to-date on the latest software. More information about updating PS5 software can be found at the official PS5 Software update page.

Step 1: Plug in your external HDD and allow the system to format the drive. If you are already using this drive on the PS5 for PS4 games then you will not need to format.

Step 2: Now that your drive is properly formatted, you can now begin copying PS5 games over to it. To do this, navigate to the system settings and then go to storage, select console storage, and finally select games and app.

Step 3: From this next menu, you will want to hit R1 to move to the “Move PS5 Games” tab. You will get a small warning that the games are only playable on the internal SSD. Acknowledge it and now you can freely pick whatever PS5 game you want to move over. Easy peasy!

Why Move My PS5 Games to an External HDD?

One of the biggest reasons you will want to move some of your PS5 games to an external HDD is because it can save you a ton of time from having to redownload said games. Due to the limited amount of space on the PS5 built-in SSD, users have had the tough choice of deleting old games to make for new ones. Issue with this is, if you want to play an old game you have to redownload it and depending on your internet speeds that can be an all day (or more) thing.

Copying from an external HDD to internal is significantly faster than redownloading.

Can I Play PS5 Games Off an External Hard Drive?

At the time of writing, there is no support to play PS5 games off an external hard drive, nor is it likely to happen. Unlike the Xbox Series consoles, the PS5 only supports internal SSD. There is an expansion slot, but Sony has yet to allow additional storage space to be added.

How Do I Move PS5 Games Back to PS5?

It’s the same process as above, only instead of selecting console storage you pick the USB extended storage option. A “PS5 Move Game” option is located in the storage option.

That’s all there is too it! Hope you guys enjoyed this guide and learned a bit!

Returnal Hostiles Trailer Introduces Players to the Various Enemies in the Game

Prepare for some intense battles ahead on an alien planet that doesn’t let you die easily, as Housemarque has released a new Returnal Hostiles trailer that introduces players to the various enemies that will be seen in the game.

Check out the trailer below as released by PlayStation themselves.

Here’s the overview for the game as listed on the official PlayStation website.

After crash-landing on this shape-shifting world, Selene must search through the barren landscape of an ancient civilization for her escape. Isolated and alone, she finds herself fighting tooth and nail for survival. Again and again, she’s defeated – forced to restart her journey every time she dies.

Through relentless roguelike gameplay, you’ll discover that just as the planet changes with every cycle, so do the items at your disposal. Every loop offers new combinations, forcing you to push your boundaries and approach combat with a different strategy each time.

Brought to life by stunning visual effects, the dark beauty of the decaying world around you is packed with explosive surprises. From high stakes, bullet hell-fuelled combat, to visceral twists and turns through stark and contrasting environments. You’ll explore, discover and fight your way through an unforgiving journey, where mystery stalks your every move.

Designed for extreme replayability, the procedural world of Returnal invites you to dust yourself off in the face of defeat and take on new, evolving challenges with every rebirth.

Returnal has already gone gold in the past few weeks, and is scheduled to be released exclusively on PS5 this April 30.

The House of the Dead Remake Comes to Nintendo Switch Soon

One of the most iconic rail shooters of the 1990’s is getting an unexpected revival and reboot, as Forever Entertainment SA and Megapixel Studio SA have announced the House of the Dead remake — and it comes to the Nintendo Switch platform pretty soon!

Check out the debut trailer for the remake below.

Courtesy of Nintendo.com, here’s an overview of the game and what to expect from it.

The House of the Dead: Remake is a remade version of the game introduced in 1997 in arcade platform. A classic arcade rail-shooter receives a whole new entourage and gameplay changes to suit modern gaming standards.

Key Features

  • Hordes of the undead monstrosities in a fast-paced rail-shooter.

  • True to the original gameplay.

  • Well know arcade classic with modern graphics and controls.

  • Multiple endings.

  • Up to two players.

Based on the 1996 game that was first released by SEGA in arcades, The House of the Dead is a two-player game that sees players fight hordes of zombies and monsters using guns, with the story unfolding through chapters as you beat down enemies through a linear path and progress through after defeating them. It’s basically Time Crisis meets Resident Evil, and like the latter game this helped popularize the zombie and horror themed video game genres of that gaming generation.

Speaking of horror themed games, Resident Evil’s newest installment RE Village has new screenshots up — including a portrait of one ofthe antagonists of the game Mother Miranda.

New PS4 Update 8.50 Available, Here’s Everything That’s New

Coming out of it’s beta stage, PS4 update 8.50 is now live, and while it adds a few new features, it also takes away access to the user generated PlayStation communities.

PS4 Update 8.50 Patch Notes

Size: 481MB

Manual Download (via USB if console can’t connect to network): https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps4/system-software/

Main Features in This System Software Beta

  • In messages, you can now turn notifications on/off for each of the groups you’re in. On the group screen, open then options menu and select “Turn Notifications Off”.

Other Updates Features

  • On the game session screen, you can now use the “Request to Join” button to ask the session leader to join their game. The session leader can then send you an invite to join the game session.
  • When playing a game you’ve hidden, other players will no longer see you play it.
  • Communities are no longer available.
  • Cross-generation Share Play. PS4 and PS5 players can now Share Play together while chatting in parties. This means PS5 console users can let their friends on PS4 consoles view their game screen, or even try out the PS5 games through Share Play, and vice versa. Options include the ability to share your screen with a friend, pass your controller virtually to a friend, or pass a second controller virtually to play co-op games together.
  • Request to Join Game Session. A selection of your friends’ joinable game sessions will now appear on both PS5 and PS4 consoles, allowing for more gameplay opportunities together. The “Request to Join” option also serves as a shortcut to sending a game invite, reducing the time it takes for you to get into games with friends. Through the Privacy Settings menu, you can modify who can interact with you through parties, games and messages.

That’s about it for this system update. If we find anything else, we’ll let our readers know.

As reported earlier, Sony has begun rolling out the PS5 update 21.01-03.00.00.38-00.00! This adds external HDD support for PS5 games, and loads more!  Check out the full changelog of what’s included in this update.

PS5 Update Patch Notes:

Size: 902MB

Here’s the full changelog from the console itself:

[unitegallery ps5updateapril14first]

Version: 21.01-03.00.00

  • You can now store PS5 games in USB extended storage.
    • To move PS5 games from console storage to USB extended storage, go to your home screen or game library, open the options menu for the PS5 game you want to move, and then select Move to USB Extended Storage.
    • To play PS5 games that are in USB extended storage, go to your game library, and copy the game to console storage from the options menu. Copying games is faster than redownloading them. It’s also faster than reinstalling them from the disc if the game on USB extended storage has add-ons or has been updated.
  • You can now enjoy Share Play with players on PS4. Use Share Play to invite your friends on PS4 to watch you play a game, or even hand over control to them.
  • We’ve added zoom to our accessibility features. Use zoom to magnify what’s on your screen. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display > Zoom to enable this feature.
  • We’ve added Disable Game Chat Audio in the control center under Sound. If you turn on this setting, your voice won’t be heard, and you won’t hear other players’ voices in game chats. This setting doesn’t apply to party voice chat audio.
  • In Game Base, we’ve updated the following:
    • You can more easily access recent parties and see your online friends. Use the R1 and L1 buttons to quickly move between tabs.
    • You can now turn notifications on or off for each of the parties you’re in.
    • You can now adjust the volume of other players’ voices in party voice chat as well as in the game chat of some games. From the voice chat card in the control center, select a player to adjust their volume.
  • In Profile, we’ve updated the following:
    • You can now share your favorite gaming moments more easily than ever. Under the Shared tab, select Go to Media Gallery and pick your favorite media to share.
    • We’ve separated videos and broadcasts under the Shared tab for easier browsing.
  • You can now manage all the games you follow by going to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Manage Followed Games. This allows you to unfollow games without having to navigate to the individual news posts or game hubs.
  • For displays that support the HDMI device link feature, you can now enable or disable one-touch play and power off link individually. Go to Settings > System > HDMI to change these settings.
    • When one-touch play is enabled, turning on your PS5 console will also turn on your connected display.
    • When power off link is enabled, turning off your connected display will put your PS5 console in rest mode.
  • You can now set the country or region in the parental control settings for PS5 console users and guests who haven’t joined or signed in to PlayStation Network.
    • The country or region you select will determine what rating system is applied to PS5 games and apps. To change a user’s country or region, go to Settings > Family and Parental Controls, select the user, and then select PS5 under Age level for games and apps.
    • You can also set the country or region in advance for new users and guests on your PS5 console. To do so, go to Settings > Family and Parental Controls > PS5 Console Restrictions > Parental Controls for New Users > PS5.
  • You can now hide games in Game Library. If you hide a game, it will no longer be displayed under the Your Collection tab.
    • To hide a game, go to the Your Collection tab, open the game’s options menu, and then select Hide.
    • To view your hidden games, go to the Your Collection tab, open the Sort and Filter menu, and then select Hidden Items.
    • To unhide a game, turn on the Hidden Items filter, open the options menu for the game you want to unhide, and then select Unhide.
    • Games you hide on your PS4 console will also be hidden on your PS5 console.

Other updated features

  • We’ve added the following features to saved data management:
    • When you start or resume a PS5 game, your console will check for newer saved data in cloud storage. If you have more recent saved data in cloud storage, you can choose to sync the data.
    • It’s now easier to manage your saved data directly from the home screen. When you open the options menu for a game, you’ll now see Upload/Download Saved Data and Check Sync Status of Saved Data.
  • We now support more emojis.
  • In Trophies, we’ve updated the following:
    • You can now access screenshots and videos taken the moment you earn a trophy. Select a trophy you’ve earned to see related media.
    • You can now choose which grades of trophies you want to save trophy screenshots and videos for. To change these settings, go to Settings > Captures and Broadcasts > Trophies.
    • Now when you select a hidden trophy, you can press the square button to quickly show hidden information.
    • You can now go directly to a game’s trophy list from a trophy card by selecting Go to Trophies in the options menu.
    • Once you’ve selected a sort order for your trophies, your trophies will remain sorted in that order for all games.
    • You can now view your trophy stats by pressing the square button on the Trophies screen.
    • Now when you sort your trophies by rarity or earned date, the trophy cards will show the rarity or earned date information.
  • If you install this update, Enable Chat Transcription in accessibility settings will be turned off. If you want to use the chat transcription feature, turn this setting back on.
  • In the multitasking feature for cards, we’ve updated the following:
    • Now when you focus on the multitasking icon on a card, you’ll see hints about the multitasking modes that are available: picture-in-picture, pin to side, or both.
    • We’ve added a button guide to show you how to interact with a card that’s currently in multitasking mode.
  • You can now see your wireless controller’s battery percentage in the control center.
  • In the game or subscription hub, you’ll now see promotional offers that are currently available, including those for PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Now, and EA Play subscribers. To view the options that aren’t displayed in the hub, press the … (more options) button.
  • When playing a game you’ve hidden by selecting Hide your games from other players in your privacy settings, other players will no longer see information about the game you’re currently playing next to your online status.
  • Some PC monitors that can display 1080p/120 Hz now support 120 Hz display for games. If you’re having trouble viewing your game at 120 Hz, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output, and then turn off Enable 120 Hz Output.
  • We’ve added the option to switch the video output to non-HDR when using a game or app that doesn’t support HDR. To change this setting, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > HDR.
  • We’ve made updates to the system software to improve stability and performance.

Instruction to update via USB (if not using internet connection on PS5) : https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5/system-software/

  • Store PS5 Games on Compatible External USB Drives.* With this feature, you can now transfer your PS5 games to USB extended storage from your console’s internal storage. It’s a great way to extend the storage capabilities of your PS5 console, and you can seamlessly copy your PS5 games back to the console’s internal storage when you’re ready to play. It is faster to reinstall PS5 games from USB extended storage than to re-download or copy them from a disc.
    • Because PS5 games are designed to take advantage of the console’s ultra high-speed SSD, PS5 titles can’t be played from USB extended storage. PS5 titles also cannot be directly downloaded to USB extended storage. However, games that you transfer or copy back to internal storage will automatically update when applicable. In addition, you can select which game modes you want to install (such as campaign or multiplayer) for select titles that support the option.
    • For tips on using USB extended storage on PS5, including storage device requirements, please visit: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5-extended-storage/.
  • Improved Game Base. The Game Base menu has been improved for quicker access to important content and features. You can now easily switch between Parties and Friends to start chatting with your existing parties or see what each of your online friends is up to. In addition, you can turn notifications on or off for each of the parties you’re in.
  • Disable Game Chat or Adjust Players’ Volume. You can now quickly disable in-game chat, which turns off your mic audio and the voice audio of other players. Additionally, you can easily adjust the individual voice chat volume of other players in the same chat so you don’t have to ask your friends to lower or increase their mic volume each time.
  • Game Update Pre-download. Once it’s enabled by developers, title updates for games will pre-download to your console if the “automatic updates” setting is enabled and your console is on or in rest mode. This will let you start playing the latest version of a game immediately after the update’s release.
  • Customize Game Library. With the ability to search your library or hide games from view, it’s now easier to find content and personalize your view of your game library.
  • Screen Zoom. You can now adjust the magnification of the screen to suit your preference from the Settings menu.
  • New Trophy Settings and Stats Screen. The level of trophies that results in automatic capture of a screenshot or video clip can now be customized — so you can now choose to only capture and save images/videos of moments when you earn higher-grade trophies, like Gold or Platinum. We’re also introducing a new player Trophy Stats screen, where you can check out the summary of your trophy level and status at a glance.

We’ll get the text version of the notes once it’s available.

Update: Added the text version of the patch notes for today’s PS5 firmware update.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends in-depth Gameplay Overview trailer takes you on a deep dive into the medieval multiplayer heists

Hood: Outlaws and Legends, the multiplayer PvPvE heist game from Sumo Digital and Focus Home interactive today releases its Gameplay Overview trailer. Matchmaking in opposing teams of four, choose your character based on your preferred playstyle, or what best fits your team’s strategy. In this game where cooperation is key, your team’s composition can suit a stealthy long-range approach, a brutal close combat heist or a balanced band of Outlaws prepared for anything. Watch today’s Gameplay Overview trailer for a deeper look into exactly what goes into Hood’s medieval multiplayer heists.

Assemble, infiltrate, battle and extract

Every game of Hood: Outlaws & Legends pits you and your friends against a rival group of four other players who are also aiming to steal the treasure. You and your team must work together to select your band of complementary outlaws, each with unique abilities to offer, before infiltrating vast, medieval strongholds. Outsmart the opposing team and villainous State to find, steal, and return the riches unfairly taken from the people.

Between heists, visit the hideout to spend some of your stolen fortune. Giving money back to the people will increase the range of items available to you in the shops, while keeping it for yourself lets you directly purchase them. Improve, alter and refine your characters’ skills with a range of perks, or further personalize your heroes with a range of new weapons and costumes. Some of the more prestigious cosmetics will even require you to demonstrate your heisting mastery.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends launches this May 10 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. You can check out the different character classes available at launch here.

Over 475,000 Call of Duty Warzone Cheaters Banned This Week, Activision Going After Cheat Makers

It’s never fun to play a multiplayer game when someone is cheating. Unfortunately, there’s a ton of that in Call of Duty: Warzone. Activisio is aware of this, and has issued an update on what steps the company is doing. One big step announced is how over 475,000 Call of Duty Warzone cheaters have been perma-banned this week!

Cheaters are never welcome. To date, our security and enforcement team has issued more than 475,000 permabans in Call of Duty: Warzone. Yesterday’s large banwave was our seventh high-volume set of bans since February.

Additionally, the company has also mentioned how they are going after cheat makers, and those who sell accounts.

We also are tackling the commercial market of cheat providers and resellers. This includes suspicious accounts, which are farmed and often sold to repeat offenders. We recently banned 45,000 fraudulent, black market accounts used by repeat offenders.

Removing cheaters and taking away their ability to move to alternate accounts is a key focus for the security teams.

Activision has also announced that they have ramped up the fight in a few key areas:

  • Utilizing 2-factor authentication to make it harder to access new accounts simply to cheat
  • Ramping-up additional resources to support our security and enforcement teams
  • Increased frequency of high-volume banwaves in addition to our daily banning of repeat offending accounts
  • Improving regular communications and updates

Finally, on the subject of hardware bans, here’s what Activision had to say:

Some have asked if we issue hardware bans. We do issue hardware bans against repeat, or serial, cheaters. This is an important part of our effort to combat repeat offenders.

This is definitely a step in the right direction! Let’s hope more cheaters are weeded out soon.

In other Warzone news, don’t forget, an event is happening on April 21, which seems to be related to a big shakeup of the map.
