  • Enter your desired email address where the code will be sent
  • You will get a prompt after entering your email that you should get the code within two weeks

This is the screen you’ll get to see:

The Division 2 Update 1.28 October 20 Brings Title Update 11.1 Fixes

True to their word, Ubisoft has released The Division 2 update 1.28 October 20 patch, or what’s more commonly known as Title Update 11.1 (TU11.1)! This brings changes to Summit mode, gameplay improvements, gear, bug fixes and more.

The Division 2 Update 1.28 October 20 Patch Notes:

The Summit

Developer comment: With the TU11.1 changes to The Summit, we are addressing topics brought up by the community including difficulty, directives and targeted loot. We want to fulfill the player fantasy of climbing from floor 1 to 100 with customized challenge and rewards.

Difficulty & Directives
When interacting with the lobby elevator, players will be able to select their desired difficulty and directives

  • All Difficulties are selectable: Normal – Legendary
  • For Directives, players are able to select from all 9 released Directives
    • Developer comment: We advise limiting yourself to 5 active Directives; use more at your own risk
    • NOTE: Missions and Global Difficulty still have the 5 seasonal directives

The New Summit Experience
Players can now ascend their customized Summit at their own pace.

  • With TU11.1, all players will initially start at floor 1 of The Summit
  • Progress is now saved more frequently at each elevator players encounter
    • Instead of the old Rally Points, now Players will resume where they left on subsequent playthroughs.
    • This means that you can stop at floor 38. Then the next day continue from the elevator at floor 37.
  • After players finish floor 100, on their next Summit attempt they will restart at floor 1
  • NOTE: for coop we save the maximum of your previous checkpoint and your current session
    • Example: player previously had a save at floor 60, they matchmake and finish floor 95 with a group, on their next playthrough the player would continue at the elevator on floor 93.
    • Example: player previously had a save at floor 81, they matchmake and finish floor 34 with a group, on their next playthrough the player would continue at the elevator on floor 81.

Targeted Loot
At any point while in The Summit, players can open the Mega-Map and set their personal Targeted Loot

  • For their allocation players can select from weapon types, gear slots, mods, brands, gear sets.
  • The Targeted Loot selection within Summit is personal (which means each player in a group of 4 could have a different allocation chosen)

Threat Scaling
The higher players climb in The Summit, the more likely they are to encounter tougher enemies.

  • The chance for enemies to spawn as veteran or elite gradually increases per floor.
  • Lieutenant Squads occur more frequently as you ascend The Summit.
  • The Boss floors (10, 20, 30,…,90) feature multiple named hostiles on higher floors.

Additional Gameplay Improvements

  • Added a weekly project for finishing Summit (which along with other rewards grants an Exotic Cache)
  • Added more objective types
  • Quicker laptop interact animation
  • Adjusted spawning of enemies during Hack Terminals objectives
  • Holding SHD Crates is more beneficial
  • Added new UI notifications about Exotic Fireteams, Bosses, etc.

Directives

  • Directives now increase the chance for Targeted Loot to drop
    • Since introduced in TU6, Targeted Loot has been influenced by a number of factors (including difficulty).
    • Now with TU11.1, each active Directive adds a small amount to the total drop chance for Targeted Loot.
    • This applies everywhere Directives are present (missions, open world, summit).
    • NOTE: Directives still increase XP as well.
  • Increased cooldown reduction per Skill Part collected with Scavenged Skills Directive.
  • Fixed issue causing Fragile Armor’s broken stacks to behave strangely after dying and being revived.

Targeted Loot

  • Added individual Targeted Loot Allocations for each Gear Set
    • This applies both to the normal rotation and to Summit’s Personal Targeted Loot
    • Ex: Lincoln can have True Patriot

Gear

  • Ridgeway’s Pride exotic
    • For first part of exotic quest, parts now drop based on Summit floor numbers and increased drop chance of parts
    • For third part of exotic quest, lowered number of Rogue Agents and Hunters that need to be killed to 2
    • Increased radiuses of Bleeding Edge talent to 15m
    • Increased repair strength of Bleeding Edge talent to 1: 3%, 2: 6%, 3: 12%, 4: 24%, 5: 48% (per bleeding enemy within radius)

PvP

  • These PvP balance changes affect both the DZ and Conflict:
    • Decreased overall time to kill by 10%
    • Decreased shotgun damage by 12.5%
    • Increased damage to shields by 25%
  • Fixed issue in Conflict which caused the Firewall specialization’s flamethrower to deal an excessive amount of damage.

Bug Fixes

The Summit

  • Fixed loot crates not resetting if encountered twice in a session.
  • Restored the ability to select Matchmake without reloading
  • Mega-Map now has correct tabs (Projects/Manhunt/SHD)
  • Improved loot from final 100th Floor enemy
  • Swapped doors to be windowless in various spots
  • Legendary Black Tusk have been taught how to hold guns properly
  • Improvements to an issue that could cause the 100th floor to note complete after killing all enemies
  • Fixed an issue where agents could fall through the map and become stuck between the elevators
  • Fixed an issue causing legendary Black Tusk to sometimes appear on difficulties they should not be in
  • Fixed occurrences of enemies not leaving their spawn closets.
  • Fixed the objective requirements for Toxic Gas remaining on screen after a group member interacts with the laptop
  • Fixed a loot room that could not be interacted with
  • Fixes occurrences of enemies incorrectly spawning in parts of the floor that have already been cleared
  • Fixed the lobby voice over triggering when returning to the lobby
  • Fixed “Neutralize the Lieutenant” objective sometimes choosing a non-named NPC as the Lieutenant
  • Fixed an issue where a controller button had double functionality on the mega map
  • Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck in the spectate mode screen after switching camera from another player
  • Various UI & Map fixes

Other

  • Fixed enemies sometimes being unreachable in the Grand Washington Hotel
  • Fixed an issue causing the SHD level notification UI to not work
  • Fixed an issue in the Operation Iron Horse raid where RPGs could stop dropping if disconnected or fast travels out of the raid when having one equipped
  • Fixed an issue which occurred when the player dropped down from an object in combat causing the agent to be pushed forward then back
  • Fixed an issue causing group members to have no ammo when the group leader activated the Pistolero directive in the Dark Zone

Once we get wind of another State of the Game episiode that includes relevant info, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. Make sure to keep an eye out on MP1st’s social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook).

Here’s How Bad the Black Ops Cold War Enemy Visibility Issues Are in the Beta

Regardless which platform you’re playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta on, chances are high that you’ve died from someone you just couldn’t make out from the environment. Checking the subreddit, there are loads of threads popping up showcasing these Black Ops Cold War enemy visibility issues and on different maps to!

[deleted by user]
by inblackopscoldwar

John Cena “you can’t see me” mode has been activated
by inblackopscoldwar

Look how hidden this guy is in comparison to his perspective
byu/Conort1324 inblackopscoldwar

It’s gotten so bad that even Call of Duty YouTuber Xclusive Ace had to make a video of it, which you can watch below.

Speaking of Ace, there are multiple instances in the video where he perfectly captures how hard to see enemies are in Black Ops Cold War. Take a look at the two pictures below, and see if you can spot the enemy in ’em (yes, there are enemies there).

Can’t find them? Check out where the enemies/players are placed in the same screenshots below.

Now remember: in Call of Duty multiplayer, you die really fast given the game is an arcade shooter, so playing “Where’s Waldo” while in a match isn’t exactly a viable option. We’re hoping enemy visibility will be tweaked once the game launches later next month.

Do you have any Black Ops Cold War enemy visibility issues or you think it’s just a matter of adapting? Let us know your thoughts down below.

In other Black Ops Cold War news, cheaters have already infiltrated the beta, which should be a cause for concern among multiplayer fans.

Modern Warfare & Warzone Halloween Event Starts Tomorrow, Trailer & Info Released

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone fans, the first-ever Halloween event for the game(s) will start tomorrow, October 20 and will last until November 3! Activision has blew the door wide open regarding the first Modern Warfare and Warzone Halloween event! Read up on it below. Players can expect new cosmetic bundles, and it’ll even affect gameplay in some capacity too!

Check out the trailer and official info below, which includes the content overview!

Modern Warfare & Warzone Halloween Event Overview:

Players can expect the SAW and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre universes to be present in hte game’s The Haunting of Verdansk! There’s also the “Trick or Treat” reward system for Warzone players, and even “Zombie Royale.”

This Halloween-themed event will feature the “Trick or Treat” reward system, where special Supply Boxes may either contain frights or frighteningly good blueprints and personalization items. Come prepared for infiltrations at day or night, as select modes feature a nighttime variant of Verdansk that includes more than a few Halloween-themed frights. Rather spend the night fighting both the living and the dead? Then prepare for Zombie Royale, an undead twist on Battle Royale where dead Operators use unnatural powers to feast on the living in order to rejoin their ranks!

For those who’d rather spend their time playing Modern Warfare, the in-game store will sell bundles featuring Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Billy the Puppet from SAW (or what I call the SAW doll). Here’s a peek at the SAW Operator skin along with details on what the bundle will include:

Be ready to don the garb of Billy the Puppet in the SAW bundle and take an enemy operator’s choice to live or die in his own hands. Along with the “Billy” skin for Morte, the SAW Bundle features The Phlebotomozier Lethal Equipment piece, a special throwing knife will drill into your enemies upon impact. And oh yes, there will be blood… if it lands on target.

Rather end your enemy’s game with blood-red tracer fire? Two SAW-themed blueprint weapons – one Assault Rifle and one Shotgun – are included in this bundle, as well as a Cargo Truck skin, tricycle Charm, and four other pieces of personalization content.

As for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre bundle, here’s what’s included:

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre bundle features the iconic crazed killer Leatherface. The legacy of this cannibalistic maniac, whose mad and macabre reign of terror in 1974 was unlike anything ever seen before, is set to live on through the “Leatherface” skin for Velikan, as well as the “Family Heirloom” LMG blueprint, complete with a unique Stock attachment that allows an operator to wield the weapon like a chainsaw. As players are re-introduced to the malice of Leatherface, a clue as to what happened to the notorious murderer may even appear to those with a keen eye.

This bundle also includes the “Anybody Home?” melee blueprint that turns this Secondary into a one-handed hammer (with a bone-breaker on one side, and a meat tenderizer on the other side, commonly used in your local slaughterhouse), which some hitchhikers claim is “the better way” of slaughtering cattle, as well as an SMG blueprint weapon, a vehicle horn, and five additional Texas Chainsaw Massacre-themed items.

There’s also a new weapon being introduced as well and it’s the JAK-12 shotgun!

Introducing the JAK-12 Shotgun

Eat your heart out, shotgun collars: the fully automatic JAK-12 shotgun, available as part of the latest update, has enough firepower to pulverize an entire enemy squad into head cheese.

Specifically, the JAK-12 has an open bolt blowback system, allowing it to push lead out at a fire rate that is faster than any other weapon in its category. Level it up to unlock its unique attachments, including explosive 8 Round FRAG-12 Mags that deliver explosive payloads without triggering Trophy Systems, and the 32-Round Drum Mags, the largest capacity magazine for any shotgun in the game.

This new shotgun can be unlocked via in-game challenge, or a blueprint variant can be acquired by purchasing the “Lacedaemon” Store bundle.

Warzone will be getting nighttime variant maps in select modes such as Trios! Use those thermal optics, guys and gals!

More details regarding the Trick or Treat system in Warzone and Zombie Royale are detailed below.

Trick or Treat! – New Rewards Inside Warzone

What is a Halloween event without Trick or Treating?
All players can participate in the Trick or Treat Halloween event, the marquee scavenger hunt featured as part of The Haunting in Verdansk.

Day or night, you can find specially marked Trick or Treat Supply Boxes in specific areas of Verdansk. Open these boxes up for a chance to receive universal rewards including the Epic “Return to Dust” Assault Rifle blueprint, “The Cleaver” Legendary Melee blueprint, a holographic watch, charms, stickers, sprays, calling cards and emblems

However, don’t think these Supply Boxes come free of any tricks: they might also contain a brief scare, so open them at your own peril!

Collect all 16 individual rewards to unlock the ultimate treat: the “Pumpkin Punisher” Legendary Assault Rifle blueprint, which comes pre-configured with attachments that make the weapon downright terrifying in Warzone.

New Limited-Time Mode: Zombie Royale

When the clock strikes midnight in Verdansk, it’s time to bring out the undead.

Operators can fight against and alongside powerful zombified creatures as part of Zombie Royale, a limited-time mode where death is far from permanent.

Instead of being sent to the Gulag, dead Operators will come back to life as a zombie. Although zombies cannot use weapons, they have supernatural abilities: increased speed, improved jumps, deadlier melee attacks, and thermal vision.

Feeling Zombified? Time to fight your way back into the land of the living:

When a player is killed, they drop a syringe that shows up on the map. Collect two of these Syringes as a Zombie and you’ll parachute back in with your loadout on your Squad for a second chance! The last squad standing with a surviving Operator wins… even if the rest of the squad has turned undead.

Because this mode takes place at night, expect to find all the haunts that Verdansk has to offer under the bright moonlight, including those Trick or Treat Boxes that are fully loaded up with scares for the whole squad.

For multiplayer fans, there will be two new modes to play, as well as some Halloween-themed changes!

New Modes: Onslaughter and Snipers Only

Two new modes in Multiplayer will bring out the big guns – literally – with high caliber action in the form of Juggernauts and Sniper Rifles.

Onslaughter – Squads must wrest control of a Juggernaut suit that spawns somewhere on the map and advance forward into a specific goal area. Be prepared for plenty of Minigun fire and consider powerful Killstreaks to take down an opposing Juggernaut, as well as the mad scramble whenever the suit is available for the taking. Also, the Juggernaut in this mode – and in all other modes during The Haunting of Verdansk – will come with a pumpkin head, which is surprisingly sturdy and durable despite it being a hollowed-out squash.

Snipers Only – As the name suggests, leave all other weapons at home for this Team Deathmatch variant. Instead of custom loadouts, all operators will have a choice between five pre-built loadouts. Aim to have more kills than deaths, as the squad that hits the target score wins the match.

Once the game update for PC and Xbox One is out, we’ll let our readers know. PS4 players should have already downloaded the data patch for this as version 1.28! However, if a new patch drops for this, we’ll let our readers know as well.

The Division 2 Title Update 11.1 Patch Notes Released (TU11.1)

While we already reported that The Division 2 Title Update 11.1 will be out tomorrow, Ubisoft has released the official The Division 2 Title Update 11.1 patch notes today! Yep, you can check out the full list of fixes and gameplay-related changes coming in tomorrow’s update.

The Division 2 Title Update 11.1 Patch Notes:

  • Fixed Global Event modifiers not working as intended on Legendary difficulty.

Same as before, once the patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

PS5 Fan to Be Optimized Over Time by Online Updates According to Sony

Worried about your PS4 fan wheezing by as if it’s going to explode? That might not be as big of an issue with the PS5. The PS5 Fan to be optimized over time by online updates according to Yasuhiro Ootori — Sony’s Vice President of mechanical design at Sony Interactive Entertainment.

In an interview with Japanese site 4Gamer.net, Ootori explained that the behavior of the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) in each game will determine how Sony will optimize fan control, using the data to deliver updates that will fix and adjust each unit accordingly:

“Various games will be released in the future, and data in the APU’s behaviour in each game will be collected,” Ootori said. “We have a plan to optimise thefan control based on this data.”

In Sony’s recently released PS5 teardown video, it was revealed that the next generation system has a double-sided air intake fan — to help cool the system as it heats up as it’s being used. There’s also a temperature sensor inside the console — three in the main board to control fan speed and one in the APU itself. This of course will all be adjusted once Sony collects data and tweaks the fan speed according to each game’s performance. The heavier the load, the louder the fan sound will be to compensate for the cool down.

Be sure to check out our related feature on the PS5 trophies being tied to digital rewards.

Sony’s next PlayStation console will be released on November 12 in major territories like the US and Japan, with the rest of the world to follow on November 19.

Black Ops Cold War Cheaters Are Already Terrorizing the Beta

Year in, and year out, there are always players who cheat in every Call of Duty game. Well, it seems that this year, they’re starting early! There are already Black Ops Cold War cheaters even if we’re just in the beta!

The Black Ops Cold War subreddit is littered with gamers posting videos of people just laser melting people with various cheats! There are wallhacks, aimbots and the like.

The MOST blatant and ridiculous aim hack I’ve EVER seen in a video game 😂
byu/madzuk inblackopscoldwar

With the beta opening crossplay against Xbox One and PC gamers, that means console gamers are also seeing the cheaters on their end. Here’s footage of PS4 gameplay of someone cheating in the game:

Guess I’m turning crossplay off forever. Thanks, Activision and Infinity Ward. (Captured on PS4)
byu/SuicidalSundays inblackopscoldwar

While seeing cheaters in online multiplayer games is nothing new, it’s kind of terrifying to see these people already using their hacks in a game’s beta. Hopefully, Activision and Treyarch are aware of this and bans their accounts ASAP once proven guilty.

In other Black Ops Cold War news, don’t forget that the beta has been extended for another day! We’ll be posting our beta impressions soon, as well as a feature on what stuff we want to see changed come launch.

Black Ops Cold War will launch this November 13 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the game hitting next-gen consoles too.

Certain PS5 Trophies Will Be Tied to Digital Rewards

If you’re someone who “platinums” games on the PS4, you might have noticed how Sony has tied certain digital rewards to them. Stuff like PS4 themes and avatars would be given to those who platinum a certain game, with Sony alerting the gamer via email. It seems Sony is bringing this up a notch on the PS5, as it looks like certain PS5 Trophies will grant the gamer digital items!

On the PlayStation UI (User Interface) video blowout, we can see that two digital items are part of the rewards for unlocking certain Trophies for Destruction All-Stars!

As you can see, earning all the star objectives for the Bronze Trophy called the “Rookie” will reward the player with a profile banner, while completing the Gold Trophy “Wreckognized” will grant the player a profile avatar. Big difference to how it was on the PS4, it seems Sony will be granting these Trophy-specific digital rewards even without a Platinum, and it’s even mentioned in the Trophy itself!

Of course, we don’t know if this will be the case for every game, since we suspect this will be a on a case by case basis. That said, it’s definitely welcome news to see that players will earn more digital items for completing game objectives.

Collecting PS5 Trophies just got a lot more interesting.

Marvel’s Avengers Review – Reassembly Required

While Marvel might have lorded cinemas and pop culture for the last decade with the endless barrage of movies, TV shows, animated stuff and the like, there was one thing that was missing all this time, and that’s a proper video game featuring the heroes we know and love. Sure, we got an excellent Spider-Man game, but it wasn’t the Avengers, which fans all over the world wanted to play as. Well, that has changed with the Square Enix-published Marvel’s Avengers. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, is this the superhero team-up game we all wished for or does it get snapped into nothingness? Read on for our Marvel’s Avengers review.

Starting Strong

Before anything else, Marvel’s Avengers starts with the player taking on the shoes of a young Kamala Khan, as you learn the basic moves of the game. This also ties in to A-Day, which is the main crux of the story that’s surprisingly engrossing and mysterious.

We won’t spoil any big story moments, but it’s here where Crystal Dynamics shines the most. You can tell that the studio is suited to developing big, AAA single-player affairs, with the action punctuated by impressive set pieces from beginning to end.

The first part of the story is where we’re also introduced to the main baddies of the game, and it’s a tightly-woven script — at least for the most part. This first phase is also where the Avengers fail and where I was honestly surprised at how well paced the story was. Clocking in at around 8-11 hours to complete, the story mode is definitely well worth a playthrough, and when you add in the fact that this is also the mode where you unlock the other Avengers and learn the basics for each, well, this mode is the first thing players need to experience upon booting the title.

All About That Superhero Life

While the main story mode is loads of fun, admittedly, Marvel’s Avengers main draw is being able to play as an Avenger with your friends, and taking on enemies, and all the while earning loot and making your character stronger as you do so.

There’s a certain element of push and pull happening within the game, and I don’t envy the devs in designing it. Superheroes by nature, should be super, and just be able to flat out decimate enemies left and right. But implementing that into an actual game without breaking game balance? Yeah, not an easy task. Same with character progression, gear/loot, and even enemies.

In the comics or even MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), characters don’t “level up” and gain new moves. But given this is a game, that mechanic needs to be baked in, lest the devs give you everything at once and makes the game too easy (not to mention overwhelming). Thankfully, Crystal Dynamics has nailed down the progression system where it’s not too much of a grind for skill points, and being able to unlock new moves and abilities for each character feels rewarding.

However, the same can’t be said for loot, I’m afraid. In the traditional sense, loot doesn’t make a lick of sense for the game. I mean, the Hulk getting new shoulder pads or something to make him stronger? That doesn’t make sense, and what’s worse is, you don’t see these armor changes in your character. You do get used to it as you go along (to some degree), but still, I have to admit that not seeing your character’s appearance relect every big armor change is jarring given we’re used to collecting armor setpieces in looter shooters.

Speaking of the MCU, people should know by now that this is in no way connected to the films, but you can clearly see Crystal Dynamics being influenced by them; from the dialogue, character personality, and even combat moves. The good news is: you will get used to the non-MCU versions of these heroes eventually, though I sometimes wondered how much more fun the game would be if it had the proper tie-in to the MCU.

I Can Do This All Day…

One thing Marvel’s Avengers really shines is in combat. Each hero the game has available at launch all play differently, and each have their own strenghts and weaknesses that it’s a treat to test out different characters to see which one suits you best. While every character has the same combat idealogy in the sense that there are light, heavy combos and supers, they don’t behave the same way for each, that you won’t find yourself doing the same thing for one hero with another.

Another good thing about the combat is how Crystal Dynamics has found a good balance between functionality and style. Combos, super moves, special moves and the like, are mostly all functional and look friggin’ awesome as well. The first time you see Iron Man use his repulsor and laser combo? Yeah, pure comic book geek out.

That said, there are annoying gameplay design decisions when it comes to combat. Possibly one of the biggest offenders are the SPIN enemies that can steal all your Heroics (abilities) in one hit! I’m not even talking about stealing parts of it, but all of it — which means you can’t do any skill once they hit you. That said, Crystal Dynamics has been very receptive to fan feedback, so most of the gameplay-related issues are being looked into, though it might take some time.

We’re in the Endgame Now

With Marvel’s Avengers being a game that focuses on online gaming and loot, it falls under the now-dreaded GaaS genre (Games as a Service). This means that players will be playing the game long after the main campaign is finished, and they’re doing so all in the quest to make their characters reach the apex of power levels the game has to offer.

Unfortunately, this is where Avengers falters. With our review being published a month after, we were hoping that this would have given the developers enough time to cycle out missions, bosses and more. As of now though, that hasn’t been the case. Players will be replaying missions over and over in the quest for loot. While that in itself is unavoidable for all games in the genre (Destiny, The Division, etc.), it’s made more tedious in Avengers given the game’s recycled environments, and in most cases, enemies.

To date, there are still three bosses players can tackle for endgame stuff. While Crystal Dynamics has promised more are incoming, it’s not a good look that we’re about a month in and we’re still waiting.

Unannounced Marvel's Avengers Heroes

Avengers Assemble!

Marvel’s Avengers is a tale of two halves. While the campaign is a satisfying romp, the endgame and repetitive nature of activities (and enemies) means that the endgame loop is a bit dry for the time being. Still, given that we’re getting a new character soon, and with both Hawkeye and Spider-Man (the latter exclusively for PlayStation gamers) entering the roster soon, there’s a lot to look forward to in terms of content.

If Crystal Dynamics can push out more bosses, activity variety and maybe iron out a few bugs along the way, this could be a Marvel game for the ages. That said, we’re banking on promises that might or might not happen. We’re hopeful, but at the same time wary of what the future holds for Marvel’s Avengers.

As it stands now, Marvel’s Avengers is a solid game thanks to its single-player story mission, and fun combat mechanics. However, a rather average endgame loop has made this hero fall a few times during its flight.

If you have a friend or two that can join in on the missions, then feel free to add a point (or .5) to the score as the game feels vastly different when playing with friends.

Score: 8/10

Pros:

  • Single-player campaign is fantastic
  • Combat is deep and each character feels distinct
  • Leveling up each Avenger and collecting/obtaining gear is a good timesink
  • Playing co-op and grinding for gear with friends is fun

Cons:

  • As of press time, bugs galore still in the game
  • Endgame activitiy is not varied enough
  • Enemies and envrionments need more variety and are recycled way too often

Battlefield 5 Will Run at Native 4K, 60 Frames Per Second On Series X

While DICE might not be releasing new content for Battlefield 5, players of DICE’s latest shooter have something to look forward to when next-gen rolls around, and that’s with the game’s improvements with the newer tech. Thanks to new info, we now know that the Battlefield 5 will run at native 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second on the Series X.

This was mentioned by YouTuber jackfrags who has an Xbox Series X console to test the game on. He also mentions how the game on Xbox Series X doesn’t drop frames unlike the Xbox One version which stutters to 40-50fps when the action on-screen gets too hectic.

That’s comforting to know. Hopefully, this means that the next Battlefield game will be able to do the same (or do more) when DICE finally announces it.

While there’s no new Battlefield game announced, the game’s community has stepped in to fill the void! Check out the Battlefield 3 Reality Mod trailer to see what’s coming to PC players later this year.

Sony: “In the Process” of Prepping for PS5 Southeast Asia Launch, Will Make an Announcement “When Ready”

Following yesterday’s rather confusing news for Southeast Asian gamers looking forward to the PS5 launch this November, Sony has sent us an email commenting on the situation, though one that leaves us in the dark regarding the PS5 Southeast Asia launch scenario.

In an email statement sent to MP1st, here’s what Sony had to say:

We can confirm that the PS5 will also become available in MY/TH/ID/PH/VN and that we are currently in the process of preparation towards the launch.

SIES will make announcement on MY/TH/PH/ID/VN release dates and pricing when we are ready. Please keep a lookout for our local announcements on PS5 release in respective countries.

When pressed on whether this meant that the PS5 will indeed launch this Holiday 2020 in Southeast Asia, Sony reiterated that they will make an announcement when they are “ready.”

Does this mean those in Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, etc., will get it in November? We can’t say for sure. That said, the fact that Sony is preparing for the Southeast Asia launch is a good thing, since that means people in the region won’t be left in the dark.

If you want to make sure you’re aware of any announcements for PlayStation Asia, you can check out their official Twitter account.

Marvel’s Avengers New Villains Incoming, Kate Bishop DLC Delayed to Polish Game

It’s been a rather busy week for Marvel’s Avengers fans, and Crystal Dynamics. Not only did the studio release two patches this week, but the studio also held a devstream talking about some of the stuff being worked on for the game, and this includes Marvel’s Avengers new villains!

While the studio didn’t exactly name who the Avengers will be meeting soon, anything is better than fighting Taskmaster for the umpteenth time! In addition to that, Crystal Dynamics also acknowledged one of the most annoying issues with the game’s gear. According to the devs, gear with three perks but the third perk missing in the gear info is indeed working, and it’s just a visual bug! So don’t just scrap them just yet.

Another thing touched on during the stream was the announcement on how the Kate Bishop DLC was being pushed back, The studio says that this was being done to polish the game more — something I’m sure no one will object to.

While that’s the main takeaways from the devstream, Crystal Dynamics also mentioned that new character skins are coming, Captain America’s traversal is being looked into given he’s slow compared to the other characters.

Hopefully, we’ll get proper new villains for the game soon, as having more big bosses to take on is something the community has been asking for quite some time.

Xbox Series S Loading Can Be Faster Than Series X Due to Lower-Res Graphics

With the Xbox Series S set out to tbe the budget-friendly version of the Xbox Series X, it’s understandable that the Series X is more powerful in terms of raw power than the Series S, though it seems there is one advantage the Series S has over the Series X and that’s with loading times.

In an interview, Xbox boss Phil Spencer made this revelation when he mentioned that some games load faster on his Xbox Series S than his Series X because the console is loading lower-res graphics! There’s no word on which titles this applies to, or whether this will be the case for every Series S game. That said, at least there’s one thing the less powerful console has over its big brother.

In the same interview, Spencer mentioned that the blockbuster Microsoft-Bethesda deal wasn’t made to take game away from gamers.

The Xbox Series X|S are both set for release this November 10.
