Here’s some potentially bad news for Sout East Asian gamers, it seems Sony has removed the mention of a “Holiday 2020” release for the PS5 on the offiical website for a lot of South East Asian countries! The only one left so far seems to be Singapore.
Here’s a screenshot of the official Indonesia PlayStation website from two days ago (via waybackmachine) that shows the “Holiday 2020” text:
Here’s a shot of the same page but this time, the Holiday 2020 text has been taken out:
Note that aside from Indonesia, the other countries that seem to have the “Holiday 2020” text taken out include Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand, and Vietnam. Does this mean that the PS5 won’t launch officially in those countries until after Holiday 2020? It sure seems like it. As for Singapore, the PS5 page for the country mentions that it has opened the second wave of pre-orders for the PS5 on October 16.
We’ve reached out to Sony regarding this and will update the post if we hear anything back.
The Watch Dogs Legion frame rate and resolution has been confirmed for both next-gen consoles. Taking to a recent Reddit AMA, Lathieeshe Thillainathan, the Live Producer of Watch Dogs Legion confirmed that both next-gen consoles will support 4K resolution, 30fps (frames per second), along with ray tracing.
He didn’t confirm whether we would see all three in one mode or if ray tracing would be a separate graphic mode with dynamic 4K, but he did in the least confirm that the Xbox Series X will indeed run at 4K 30FPS when asked specifically about the console.
No details on whether a performance mode (higher than 30fps) was given either.
To compare, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been confirmed to run at 4K 60fps on the Xbox Series X and apparently PS5 (according to Digital Foundry DE). Both title are set to be massive open world, however with Legion being more focused on it’s online aspect versus Valhalla mostly being single-player centric, perhaps this may be the reason why the FPS isn’t going to be as high with 4K enabled. That, and the fact that players can apparently control any NPC in the game, one could say that Watch Dogs Legion has more tech behind it when it comes to it’s open world. Then again, we still don’t know if there will be a performance mode of some sort.
Guess we’ll learn more as we get closer to launch, which will be happening in just a few short weeks. Watch Dogs Legion is releasing on October 30 for current gen consoles, with the next-gen versions arriving on the days of the Xbox Series and PS5 launch.
If you’re interested to know more about Watch Dogs Legion’s multiplayer, head on over here.
A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
Just last month, the gaming world was rocked when Microsoft announced that it was buying ZeniMax Media, which was the parent company of Bethesda — home of the Fallout, DOOM, and other noteworthy franchises. While Microsoft already said that it will honor the previous deals made by the publisher before the buyout (such as Deathloop’s PS5 exclusivity), we’re left in the dark when it comes to future Bethesda games.
In a new interview with Kotaku, Xbox boss Phil Spencer talks about the Microsoft Bethesda acquisition, and states they didn’t buy the House of Skyrim just so less players can play Bethesda’s games.
This deal was not done to take games away from another player base like that. Nowhere in the documentation that we put together was: ‘How do we keep other players from playing these games?’ We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to go play games. – Phil Spencer, Xbox boss
In the same chat, Spencer was asked whether it was possible to recoup Microsoft’s $7.5 billion investment in Bethesda even if say, Elder Scrolls VI, doesn’t come out on a PlayStation platform. Spencer states “yes,” and explains what he means.
But I’ll also say in the model—I’m just answering directly the question that you had—when I think about where people are going to be playing and the number of devices that we had, and we have xCloud and PC and Game Pass and our console base, I don’t have to go ship those games on any other platform other than the platforms that we support in order to kind of make the deal work for us. Whatever that means. – Phil Spencer, Xbox boss
Go read the entire interview to know more about Spencer’s thoughts on the Xbox Series S, internal studios and more.

Marvel’s Avengers Update 1.12 October 16 Patch Notes:
Crystal Dynamics has not released the official notes just yet, but thankfully, the Marvel’s Avengers community is here to help!
One Reddit user says that the background in the Sub Zero base has been changed
New Tachyon Rift mission in Scandinavian Highlands (it is new, but could be part of refresh)
Once Crystal Dynamics releases the official notes or comments on the changes, we’ll update the post. If you see any gameplay-related or front-facing changes, let us know in down in the comments, and once we verify it, we’ll update the post.
In other Marvel’s Avengers news, Crystal Dynamics boss Scot Amos wrote a long letter to the fans explaining the gamne’s next-gen delay, as well as a delay on the Kate Bishop DLC that’s originally set for this month. However, all players will be getting a thank you gift as well. Read more about all that here.

With today’s Ghost of Tsushima patch, Sucker Punch Productions have now introduced Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer to the single-player title. While the multiplayer component (called Ghost of Tsushima Legends) might have come as a shock to many when it was announced, the studio planned for it to be included right from the start.
In an interview, Legends Lead Daren Bridges revealed this little tidbit of info, as well as mentioned how the Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer was to be part of the “core experience.”
SPEAKING ABOUT LEGENDS, I WOULD SAY THAT GHOST OF TSUSHIMA IS QUITE AN ISOLATED EXPERIENCE. I DON’T THINK ANYBODY WAS EXPECTING THE GAME TO GET MULTIPLAYER. WHEN WAS THIS DECISION MADE AND WHY?
Daren Bridges: It was from the beginning, actually. From the very first pitch when we were talking we knew that we wanted to have a big, cooperative multiplayer element and we wanted that to be part of the core experience and a pillar of the game Coming to Legends, there’s a lot of stuff that in a single player game, especially an open world game, and especially a very story focused game is harder to adapt to a co-op experience. And so we found this nice marriage. All the missions in Legends are kind of stories told by a storyteller, kind of like the mythic missions in Tsushima. They’re all told by a storyteller and it’s his kind of take on events that have happened, the Mongol invasion, the repelling the Jin and that and ghost repelling this overwhelming force. So it felt like that was a really cool mix up that would allow us to connect it to Jin’s story, but also give us the freedom to really focus on the co op gameplay elements that we wanted to hit.
Given how great Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player campaign is, the multiplayer portion is but a bonus — though one that adds tremendous value to the title. Go check out our review of Ghost of Tsushima to see why it’s in the running as our Game of the Year.

While we just got a new Marvel’s Avengers game update earlier this week, Crystal Dynamics announced some not-so-good news today. The Marvel’s Avengers next-gen release date got pushed back to an unannounced date in 2021! What’s more, the Kate Bishop DLC drop that’s planned for this month has been pushed back “out of October,” with no definite release date set just yet.
The bad news was announced by Crystal Dynamics boss Scot Amos, in a long letter to the game’s fans. While players might be focusing on the bad news, there’s some good news as well. Crystal Dynamics is giving a sign of appreciation to players in the form of Credits, Upgrade Modules and more!
As a sign of our appreciation for being with us from the start of this journey – beginning at 10:00 AM PDT October 22, players will receive a digital thank-you bundle, which includes:
Credits: 1500 – Enough for a Legendary Skin and Nameplate from the Marketplace
Units: 7000
Upgrade Modules: 250
DNA Keys: 20
A Sarah Garza-Inspired Nameplate (Because seriously, you’re the best.)
This bundle will be available until 10:00 AM PDT on November 5.
Amos also listed some of the fan feedback-driven features the studio is looking into! Expect these additions/changes in the coming months (not necessarily in one patch):
We’re actively working on new community-driven features for the coming months, including but not limited to:
Avengers Initiative Ping System: A system that will allow players to mark objectives, resources, health crates, and enemies, allowing players to command AI companions to hack/smash doors or prioritize specific enemies.
Reassemble Campaign Replay: An option to reset the Reassemble campaign and replay it with your Super Hero’s level and gear intact.
High Contrast Mode: An accessibility feature that will allow the player to apply solid darken veils behind text to improve readability.
Hero Icon Visibility: An option to adjust the display of identifying icons above a Super Hero’s head to be on by default or dynamic.
Mission Reward Clarity: Improved clarity around mission-specific rewards when viewed on the WAR TABLE. This will allow players to more strategically take on missions to meet their current goals and seek out specific gear and resources.
Offscreen & Ranged Enemy Attack Indicators: Better feedback for players to avoid offscreen and ranged enemy attacks.
In addition to the rewards and features the studio is working on, Amos also listed the four key areas the studio is focusing right now.
Performance & Stability
In the past several weeks we’ve uncovered and corrected several systemic issues that were creating a number of game crashes or freezes. Through our metrics tracking we’ve seen a significant decrease in these crashes week-over-week.
However, on some PCs we are continuing to see a higher number of crashes than we’d like, especially those that are the result of GPU hangs and GPU driver crashes. We have a dedicated team tracking these as highest priority fixes across all platforms; including bringing in external partners to help isolate any remaining issues to maximize our stability.
We are actively working with NVIDIA on specific issues that some users have reported with performance degrading over time. With the latest Patch V1.3.3, we’ve added NVIDIA DLSS, which significantly improves framerate while maintaining high quality visuals for NVIDIA RTX hardware. We’ve also added DLSS support for ultra performance mode and Dynamic Resolution scaling. More information about NVIDIA DLSS can be found here.
Multiplayer/Matchmaking
We’ve made some meaningful improvements to the multiplayer and matchmaking systems since launch, including expanding power-level matching speed so a broader range of diverse players can connect faster.
Moving forward, our philosophy for multiplayer improvements is to rework the way we group players. The goal is to draw from a larger pool of online players and provide faster ways to jump into desired content. This will help with quicker matchmaking so you can get to the fun faster. We are also exploring ways to better make use of the quick match feature with greater rewards for joining in to help others out. Stay tuned!
Rewards
We know how important meaningful rewards are to our fans. Our philosophy is that rewards should always feel worth the time you’ve invested to earn them. The upcoming AIM Cloning Lab will guarantee an exotic drop for the first completion per week, and a notable chance of exotic drops for subsequent runs. You should also feel that exotic drops are more unique to late-game play; Tachyon and future AIM Cloning Labs missions draw from special reward pools. When you do get exotics from these late-game activities, they will also feel more significant with reworked attributes and perks.
Reward tuning will be an ongoing pursuit to ensure we hit the sweet spot with players, and we commit to transparency through patch notes when changes are made.
Late-Game Content
Launch was only the beginning for Marvel’s Avengers. We have both refinements to existing content and sweeping additions coming that will introduce new mission types, characters, regions, and even higher global stakes.
Mega Hive: To support our late game players, we recently dropped the Mega Hive. Mega Hives are a weekly mission type for fans who prefer to fly solo, testing their top-tier roster in a gauntlet of descending floors with increasingly difficult enemies. We’ve heard loud and clear that players want a multiplayer option for the Mega Hive, and that is something we are working towards in the coming months.
Tachyon Missions & SHIELD Substation Zero: A new outpost, SHIELD Substation Zero, dropped this week in the Pacific Northwest. SHIELD is investigating new temporal anomalies that have begun forming across the world and need the Avengers’ help. Visit this space to meet new characters and activate new rituals.
You can read the entire letter to fans right here.
While it’s a bummer that the new content is being delayed, it’s good to see the studio owning up to the game’s mistakes and wanting to make it a better title for the gamers.
As promised by Sucker Punch Productions, the Ghost of Tsushima update 1.12 October 16 patch is out today! This brings the Ghost of Tsushima Legends content (for multiplayer) to all who own the game for free! In addition to that, there’s New Game+ and more features added.
Clocking in at 8.4GB, check out the list of new stuff and changes below.
Ghost of Tsushima Update 1.12 October 16 Patch Notes:
Here’s the new content announced for this title update:
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends features two-player story missions and four-player survival missions, as well as a Raid that we’ll release in the weeks following launch. After you’ve downloaded version 1.1 of Ghost of Tsushima, you can visit the PlayStation Store from your PS4 to download a free unlock for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which will allow you to play. Keep in mind that an internet connection and an active PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to play with other players.
There’s also a new character in towns appearing as well! Gyozen the Storyteller!
Once you have version 1.1, you’ll notice a new character at various towns and locations in Tsushima… Gyozen the Storyteller! He’s heard the rumors about the Ghost of Tsushima, but he has a different perspective about what’s actually happening in his homeland. Gyozen is the author and gatekeeper of the stories you’ll find in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and when you talk to him, he’ll be happy to share one of his transportative stories about the “Ghosts.”
Speaking to Gyozen will give you access to the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends lobby, but you can also get there directly from the title menu or the pause menu… or by accepting a PSN invitation from a friend!
Ghost of Tsushima Legends will feature multiplayer classes! Yes, this is a full-fledged multiplayer mode! Here’s a look at the classes coming.
Classes
In Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, you’ll be able to pick between one of four classes. Each one has their own unique advantages. When you start Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, after a short tutorial, you’ll choose which class you want to unlock first. As you rank up, you’ll unlock each of the remaining classes.
In addition to each starting with their own unique ability, each class can unlock an alternate ability as you progress, as well as earning class-specific Charms and ranged weapons.
While playing with friends, you can mix and match classes however you’d like, whether that’s a party of four all playing the same class, everyone playing as a different class, or any combination in between.
SAMURAI
Samurai players can run straight toward combat and stay there, sustaining their health while chopping enemies down left and right. When you’re overwhelmed, use the Hachiman’s Fury ultimate attack to slash through enemies in a flurry of strikes.
HUNTER
As a Hunter, you can stand on the edge of combat and snipe enemies before they even see you. You can also use explosive arrows to slow down groups, and when the combat gets really fierce, the Eye of Uchitsune ultimate attack will unleash multiple arrows straight at your enemies’ heads.
RONIN
Ronin players can revive their entire team with the Breath of Izanami ultimate ability. You might play Ronin because you want to help your human friends… or you might do it because the Ronin class is also able to summon a Spirit Dog. (And yes, you can ABSOLUTELY pet your Spirit Dog!)
ASSASSIN
If you prefer doing massive damage with a single attack, you’ll love the Assassin. The Shadow Strike ultimate attack will allow you to teleport across the battlefield and directly strike your enemies. If that’s not intimidating enough, wait until you see the terrifying masks the Assassin gets to wear!
Story Missions
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Story Missions are designed for two players, and take you through Gyozen’s stories about what’s really happening in Tsushima. When you unlock higher difficulties, you’ll face new encounters, tougher enemies, bonus objectives, and greater rewards.
Survival Missions
In Survival, you can team up with three other players to fight off waves of enemies while defending different locations in Tsushima. You and your team can activate blessings to help yourselves, like “ignite enemies” or “summon a Spirit Bear.” The longer you survive and the more bonus objectives you complete, the more rewards you’ll earn!
Raid
You’ll need all your skill, top-tier gear, and a great 4-player team to be able to survive in Iyo’s realm! The Raid is an epic three-part adventure that will require excellent teamwork and communication to overcome. It will be released in the weeks following the launch of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
Outside of the new multplayer component, Ghost of Tsushima’s Photo Mode will also feature new updates.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends also has a few features you’d expect from Ghost of Tsushima. Our robust Photo Mode is still present here (as long as your teammates opt in) and you’ll be able to show off all the new masks, armor, and emotes you’ve earned.
For those not interested in multiplayer, the single-player portion will also be getting new stuff as well. There’s a New Game+ and even new Trophies to earn!
New Game+
If you’ve already beaten Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll find the option to re-embark on Jin’s Journey in New Game+. You’ll start New Game+ from the release to the open world, shortly after Jin’s initial confrontation with the Khan. You’ll keep all of the Techniques, Gear, and Vanity items obtained in a previous playthrough, and difficulty will be increased to provide a new challenge (but you can still adjust it down in the menu).
You’ll also find yourself with a brand new New Game+ horse, which features a vibrant red mane and unique saddle. There are also new, extremely powerful Charms available that can help Jin unleash devastating attacks and may change the way you play. You’ll also be able to unlock an additional upgrade for your sword, bow, and armor.
We’ve also added some new Trophies for playing Ghost of Tsushima on New Game+, which will appear in a separate section of your Trophy list and do not count toward Ghost of Tsushima’s Platinum Trophy
GHOST FLOWER MERCHANT
Exclusively in New Game+, you’ll be able to earn a new type of flower: the Ghost Flower. This new type of flower can only be earned in New Game+, and is accepted by a mysterious new merchant that you’ll find in Ariake. If you complete a Tale or activity and already have the reward, you’ll earn Ghost Flowers in its place, so even if you’ve completed JIn’s journey before, it’s still exciting to explore Tsushima once again to collect as many Ghost Flowers as you can.
You can exchange these flowers for new armor dyes and other vanity gear only found in New Game+, featuring much more elaborate designs than those found in your first playthrough.
OTHER FEATURES
Once you’ve installed version 1.1, you’ll now find the option to enable Armor Loadouts, which allow you to assign all Charms and vanity items to each armor set to quickly swap between loadouts to match your playstyle and roleplaying preferences.
Once we get the gameplay changes, we’ll update the post.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time developer Toys for Bob has released the Crash Bandicoot 4 update 1.04 October 16 patch. It’s a small download at just 530MB on PS4 and 516MB on Xbox One. Head on below for what we know about it so far.
Crash Bandicoot 4 Update 1.04 October 16 Patch Notes:
Toys for Bob most likely won’t release offical notes, given we didn’t get one the last time. According to the PS4 update history it’s for “Data Changes,” and nothing more. That said, we’re keeping an eye out on the game’s social media platforms, and even the community to see what got changed.
Hopefully, this fixes the save glitch that some players are experiencing.
If you notice any changes or fixes in today’s patch, hit us up down in the comments and let us know. If it checks out, we’ll update the post and credit you,
If you haven’t bought it yet, go read our review and see why we said the following:
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the long awaited sequel that fans have been longing for. Without losing the identity of the franchise, it introduces plenty of new to satisfy long time fans, while catering to news ones with its modern mode. I had my doubts that Toys for Bob would be able to pull it off, despite working on the previous remasters, but they nailed down the very essence that the series is known for. I think it’s safe to say that Crash has finally found a new home, with developers that truly know how to respect the source material. The future of the series is looking bright, and hopefully for a long time.
We’ll update the post if we spot anything new, so refresh the post from time to time.
It’s been a super busy week for First Watch Games’ Rogue Company. Not only did we get a new content drop this week with the “Secret Identity” patch, but we even got a new map courtesy of Dr. Disrespect too. Today, the studio released the Rogue Company update 1.36 October 16 patch, and while this is for fixes, there is a certain issue with the servers currently.
Rogue Company Update 1.36 October 16 Patch Notes:
If you can’t log in to the game (regardless of platform), don’t fret! First Watch is aware of it, as the studio had an issue with today’s patch and had to turned off the ability to log in on all platforms! Here’s the official message from a Hi-Rez staff (publisher):
Hey Reddit! As some of you have noted, there are currently issues with the game and I wanted to provide a little context. We released a minor hotfix this morning to address a few simple issues some of you reported with the last update.
Unfortunately there was a significant problem with the hotfix which required us to initially put the servers in a state where no one can login and will eventually may result in a full downtime. We anticipate getting PC, Xbox, and PS4 live over the next few hours.
Switch players, we are currently working with Nintendo for approval on a fix for your side as quickly as possible. This may result in an extended maintenance for you.
We apologize for any disruption this caused today and assure you this is being
As for the game being down, expect it to be for a “few hours” depending on the platform according to Hi-Rez. Once we get the full notes on the fixes included in today’s update, and once the servers are up again, we’ll update the post.
Update: Hi-Rez has given an update on the situation which we’ve posted above.
Borderlands 3 season pass 2 has been announced by 2K and Gearbox in the game’s official website, detailing the next downloadable add-on content.
Here’s the details on the next season, which will be released on November 10:
Season Pass 2 will include two all-new downloadable content add-ons – Designer’s Cut and Director’s Cut – plus brand new looks for all four Vault Hunters, to be revealed later this month. First up is Designer’s Cut, which creates totally new ways to play Borderlands 3 by introducing an additional Skill Tree for each Vault Hunter, a new standalone mode called Arms Race, and more.
Additionally, 2K and Gearbox have also confirmed that a next-gen update for Borderlands 3 is on the way and will be released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a free upgrade.
As mentioned in the image above, the next-gen version of Borderlands 3 will run at 60 frames-per-second in 4K resolution during single-player and online co-op. As for local multiplayer, players can expect 3-4 player split-screen to be available as well.
Players can expect the free update for next-gen on November 10 (Xbox Series X), and November 12 (PS5). Read on for details regarding the progression and save file details.
Existing owners of Borderlands 3 on current-gen platforms can easily transition to the next-gen version within the same console family. If you own Borderlands 3 on Xbox One, you’ll be able to play the Xbox Series X/S version, and if you own the game on PlayStation 4, you’ll be able to play the PlayStation 5 version. Your add-on content and save files can be ported to next-gen consoles within the same family, so you can jump straight back into the action right where you left off. (Please note that if you own a physical disc of Borderlands 3, you will need the Xbox Series X or standard PlayStation 5 console models that include a disc drive to take advantage of all these features.)
It’s no secret by now that Bungie is bringing its popular looter shooter Destiny 2 to next-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X). Today, the studio announced the Destiny 2 next-gen features, and it’s more than just a resolution bump! Destiny 2 will be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X on December 8!

Other notes:
We are offering Field of View customization on consoles for the first time. Our goal is to enable a FOV range similar to that on PC. We’re currently testing these settings to ensure smooth performance across each platform and will have additional details closer to launch.
There will be noticeable improvements to things like loading the game and inspecting character inventory. However, some load times are dependent on networking and matchmaking. So, loading activities still takes time while you search for opponents.
For cross-generation play, Xbox Series X|S players can play with Xbox One players. PlayStation 5 players can play with PlayStation 4 players.
Yep, an FOV slider will be available on consoles for the first time, which should be a game-changer for some — especially for PvP!
Originally targeted to ship alongside the PS5, it appears that Sony is now preparing to ship PS5 accessories earlier as confirmed in a new email sent to us directly.
In the email we received a bit ago for one of our pre-order PS5 accessory, Sony has moved the launch from November 12 to October 30.
Do note that despite it saying that the order is for a PS5 Digital console, we double checked the number ourself to see that it was for the charging station that we ordered directly from the PlayStation website.
