Rainbow Six Siege Update 1.96 October 21 Brings Y5S3.3 Changes

Ubisoft has released the Rainbow Six Siege Update 1.96 October 21, or what the studio calls the Y5S3,3 patch. This brings a host of changes and fixes to the game, including Operator rebalancing.

BALANCING

ACE

Ace couldn’t handle all the thirst from his fans.

  • Reduced the number of explosive ticks of the SELMA Aqua Breacher to 2 ticks (down from 3).

FROST

Shoot your shot(gun).

  • Added the ITA12S as a secondary weapon.

GLAZ

Lonely Russian sniper looking for some love.

  • Reduced vision recovery time to 0.4s (down from 1s).
  • Reduced movement penalization by 50% to 12s (up from 6s).

MELUSI

  • MP5 primary will replace the T-5. Optics available on the MP5 will be the red dot, holographic, and reflex.

ORYX

  • T-5 primary will replace the MP5. Optics available on the T-5 will be the red dot, holographic, reflex, and scope 1.5x.

BALLISTIC SHIELDS

  • The guard break effect occurs when operators with a ballistic shield are hit by an explosion or take certain types of damage (from a scale of a minimum of 50 to trigger the guard break to 100 damage).
  • The severity of the guard break is proportional to the damage done to the shield. Electric damage and the minimum 50 damage threshold will trigger the minimum strength guard break animation.
  • Melee damage, concussion FX, sonic bursts, and explosions of 100 damage or higher will trigger the the maximum strength guard break animation.
  • Operators positioned behind a Clash, Monty, Blitz, or Fuze are now also partially protected from explosion damage (this still applies even if they are from the opposing team). This protection also applies if the shield is on the operator’s back. Damage taken from the explosion is proportionally calculated based on the operator’s exposure to the blast.
  • Instead of folding Montagne’s Extendable shield, he now as a guard break animation.
  • Shield explosion protection is reduced to 66% (down from 80%).

TCSG12 + ACS12

  • Damage drop-off is now more progressive to reach minimal damage at 50m (instead of 20m).
  • Damage at max range increased to 68% (up from 48%).
  • Suppressor damage penalization normalized to -12.5% regardless of range.

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

  • Changes to the defuser interaction that allow players to pick up the defuser, even in situations where it might have originally been inaccessible, due to falling into difficult-to-reach spaces.
  • Improvements to the chat filter feedback system.
  • The ban ticker has been deactivated for custom games. It will remain visible in all other game modes.

BUG FIXES

  • FIXED – Sometimes defenders spawn on top of each other when in 2nd Floor Master Bedroom on Chalet.
  • FIXED – Players can’t vault over the half-wall/railing in 2F Library Stairs on Chalet.
  • FIXED – Dropped defuser can be difficult to recover from behind the table of 2F Cigar Balcony on Kafe.
  • FIXED – (PvE) Barbed wire spawns issues in Situation 10.
  • FIXED – Poor lighting inside the cabinet between sofas in 1F Bar of Chalet.
  • FIXED – Players can use a deployable shield to get to the counter next to the piano on Chalet.
  • FIXED – Zero’s Piercing Camera can pierce and see through the ceiling in 1F First Aid on Plane.
  • FIXED – Missing SFX when picking up generic items.
  • FIXED – (PvE) Missing pre-barricaded doors/windows in Heavily Fortified Situation.
  • FIXED – Cancelling a Ranked queue can sometimes trigger an abandon penalty even when the player did not join a match.
  • FIXED – Secondary hard breach gadget’s blue light can sometimes be seen through a barricade when deployed on it.
  • FIXED – Residual black smoke is visible after some soft walls in the Basement of Chalet are destroyed.
  • FIXED – Minor map asset issues.
Note that for consoles (PS4, Xbox One), this patch also includes the Y5S3.2 changes which are listed below.

BUG FIXES

GAMEPLAY

  • FIXED – If a deployable shield is placed in a doorway, players are sometimes blocked by the doorframe when trying to vault over it.
  • FIXED – Yellow Pings were not displayed in Replay Mode.
  • FIXED – Only the first Trax Stinger deployed could be targeted by the Smart Ping feature.
  • FIXED – Frost’s Welcome Mats becoming invisible when Frost was killed under certain conditions.
  • FIXED – Spas-15 and Bearing-9 reload animations have to be entirely restarted when the reloading was interrupted.
  • FIXED – Missing burn/fire SFX for smaller explosions that accompany an explosion.

OPERATORS

ZERO

  • FIXED – Missing or incorrect interaction prompts for Zero’s Piercing Camera crosshair when aiming at certain map assets/surfaces.
  • FIXED – When aiming through see-through + unbreakable glass, Zero’s Argus Launcher does not detect an obstacle.
  • FIXED – Zero’s Piercing Camera is not piercing through the destructible floor on the carpet in 2F Gym of Clubhouse.
  • FIXED – The Argus Camera activation SFX can be heard when deployed on an electrified wall.
  • FIXED – The Argus Camera can sometimes pierce through other gadgets on the other side of a wall.
  • FIXED – The Argus Camera cannot pierce through the rug in 1F Great Room.

CLASH

  • FIXED – When affected by a Breach Charge detonation, Clash’s Shield is automatically placed on her back.
  • FIXED – Speed penalty does not gradually wane after being affected by Clash’s CCE shield.
  • FIXED – Fix for an issue with weapon swapping when Clash’s CCE shield is deployed.

NOMAD

FUZE

  • FIXED – Fuse SFX for Secondary Hard Breach gadget is too long.

LEVEL DESIGN

  • FIXED – Various LOD issues on maps.
  • FIXED – Various clipping issues on maps.

CHALET

  • FIXED – The vault prompt at the stairway railings (1F Fireplace) was inconsistent and difficult to activate on Chalet.
  • FIXED – Vault prompt inconsistencies in stairway railings (1F Gaming Room Hallway and 2F Library Stairs) on Chalet.
  • FIXED – Defenders were able to scan Attackers through trees and rocks from EXT Campfire camera on Chalet.
  • FIXED – Navigation issues due to rock collision in EXT Snowmobiles on Chalet.
  • FIXED – Drones can fall through the map at EXT Front Yard of Chalet.
  • FIXED – Drones can teleport into the shelf at B Storage room on Chalet by forcing collision.
  • FIXED – Low lighting inside the wardrobe of 2F Master Bedroom of Chalet after breaking the doors.

BORDER

  • FIXED – Throwable gadgets could be thrown through walls above certain windows on Border.

CLUBHOUSE

  • FIXED – Yellow Pings do not appear immediately when targeting TVs on Clubhouse.

COASTLINE

  • FIXED – Valkyrie cam can be thrown through the wall in 2F Hallway on Coastline.

USER EXPERIENCE

  • FIXED – Battleye ticker is now fixed. Previous banwaves carried out during the season were not visible due to a bug with the ticker.
  • FIXED – In map ban phase, system always bans the map on the right when there are two maps left.
  • FIXED – Ensuring all maps are properly randomized to show up in the map-ban phase.
  • FIXED – Crashes when using Vulkan (hotfixed on PC on Oct 1st)
  • FIXED – Various shop/cosmetic issues.
  • FIXED – Various HUD/UI issues.
  • FIXED – Reload prompt still appears even when interface preference is disabled.
  • FIXED – Steel Wave Champions charm is very, very pink.
  • FIXED – Players getting expired/older in-game notifications and pop-ups.
  • FIXED – Banned players could hit the “Find another Match” button, causing odd in-game messages.
  • FIXED – Custom color sights were not applied in Replay Mode.

Halo MMC Xbox Series X Features Revealed

It’s common knowledge by now that most Xbox One games will be getting upgrades, and it looks like Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Halo MCC) is getting quite a lot of it. Microsoft has announced the Halo MCC Xbox Series X features and it’s sure to please Xbox Series X owners.

According to 343 Industries, Halo MCC on Xbox Series X will run at 120 frames-per-second (fps) for both single-player and multiplayer, and will feature split-screen improvements and up to 4K resolution on Xbox Series X!

As one might expect, this upgrade will be free for all who own the game now.

Balan Wonderworld Opening Movie Released By Square Enix

Balan Wonderworld won’t be released until the first quarter of next year, but Square Enix and developers Balan Company and Arzest are eager to show more of the game to audiences worldwide. To that end, they’ve released the full opening movie of the game.

Check out the introduction sequence, and get to meet the leads Leo and Emma as they follow Balan and journey into Wonderworld itself.

In case you’re confused with the plot, here’s the overview of the game from the makers of Sonic the Hedgehog and Nights into Dreams:

Balan Wonderworld is a wondrous action platformer game themed around the Balan Theatre. Led by the enigmatic maestro named Balan, the stars of the show Emma and Leo will use special abilities from a multitude of characterful costumes as they adventure in the bizarre and imaginary land of Wonderworld. Here memories and vistas from the real world mix with the things that people hold dear.

Twelve different tales await our stars in the Wonderworld, each with their own unique quirks. They will explore all corners of these labyrinthine stages, filled with a myriad of tricks and traps, to get to the heart of each story.

Fortnite Update 2.90 October 21 Brings v14.40 Changes, Datamined Content Listed

Epic Games has released the Fortnite update 2.90 October 21 patch, or what the studio calls the v14.40 update. Same as before, we’ve listed the known fixes in this patch, and more importantly, the list of datamined content!

Check out the Fortnitemares 2020 event and known bug fixes in Creative (via Epic Games), as well as the list of datamined content which will be updated as more data files are unpacked by miners.

Fortnite Update 2.90 October 21 (v14.40) Patch Notes:

Battle Royale:

Inventory shuffling after respawning in Team Rumble.

Description
After players respawn in Team Rumble, their items may switch positions in the inventory to the order they were initially picked up in.


Platforms

Workaround
Dropping all items and picking them back up in your preferred order will prevent them from switching positions until you swap for new items.

Creative:

  • Players without matchmaking permissions cannot access the Team Size setting.
  • Sky color does not change when adjusting light color setting.
  • Fog and lighting settings changed in Creative.

Save the World:

Increased crashing when loading into a mission.

Epic Mini-Boss’ not spawning in ‘Trap The Storm’ missions.

Description
The Epic Mini-Boss may not spawn during the second wave of ‘Trap The Storm’ missions with the appropriate modifier. Avoid this mission if you have a quest that requires you to eliminate Mini-bosses.


Workaround
Selecting other missions with the Epic Mini-Boss modifier besides ‘Trap The Storm’ should spawn the mini-boss.

Borderlands 3 New Skills Trees Revealed as Part of Designer’s Cut

In case you didn’t know, Gearbox is releasing a Borderlands 3 Designer’s Cut on November, which will include new content. Some of the new content included are Borderlands 3 new skill trees for some characters!

In a press release, Gearbox announced new skills for Amara and FL4K!

Amara‘s new Phaseflare Action Skill summons a giant, controllable orb of elemental destruction that lets her bowl a bloody path through the opposition. Meanwhile, her Enlightened Force Skill Tree lets her freeze enemies using Cryo elemental effects, rounding out her toolkit of natural elements. The passive abilities in the Enlightened Force tree help her maximize elemental damage and slow enemies down so they have no hope of outrunning her Phaseflare.

FL4K gains some reliable crowd control with their new Gravity Snare Action Skill. This long-lasting skill periodically tosses nearby enemies into the air, interrupting their attacks before painfully slamming them back to the ground. The passive abilities in the Trapper Skill Tree give FL4K and their pet huge survivability increases via shield bonuses, as well as added damage through increased critical hit effects.

This Thursday, October 22, Gearbox will also showcase Moze and Zane’s new skill trees in action. It will be shown at the official Borderlands Twitch channel at 9 a.m. PT/12 noon ET. This episode will alos reveal the new Arms Race mode, plus dev interviews and more.

The Designer’s Cut add-on can be bought separately or as part of the Season Pass. Season Pass 2 will include two new all-new DLC add-ons — the Designer’s Cut and Director’s Cut — and will be out on November 10.

Report: Black Ops Cold Level Cap Hints at the Return of Prestige, Weapon Prestige Spotted

With last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare doing away with the franchise’s tried-and-true Prestige system in favor of seasonal ranks, some might be wondering whether Black Ops Cold War will continue last year’s model or if Prestige will be back once again.

Based on the Black Ops Cold War beta, it looks like Prestige is indeed coming back! Twitter user Sorradude posted an image of the progression tab in the Black Ops Cold War beta when it was updated, and it shows the familiar level cap of 55!

Call of Duty multiplayer vets will be familiar with the level cap, as level 55 is usually the last level players can rank up to before being able to prestige! In Modern Warfare 2019, the usual level cap was changed to move past level 55, and players were able to level up until the max level of 155 in each season.

Another thing that heavily hints at Prestige returning in Black Ops Cold War’s level progression is the mention of weapon prestige in the beta! Reddit user Lil-cumstain- posted an image from the beta where the game is asking whether they want to prestige the weapon or not, and in oding so, the player will be able to tag that specific weapon with their clan tag — something that should be familiar to Call of Duty players!

Of course, this is not outright confirmation that the Prestige system will be back in Black Ops Cold War. For all we know, this could be leftover stuff like the mention of “reserves” and “crates” which Treyarch confirmed was just leftover code.

However, if weapon prestige is back, chances are high that the actual Prestige ranking and progression system are back as well. As a long-time Call of Duty fan, I’d want to see Prestige return again since it adds another element to the whole grind.

Note that given these both came from the beta, there’s a chance that Treyarch has moved away from this progression to something else entirely for the final game. We’ll know for sure once Black Ops Cold War shoots out this November 13 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

NHL 21 Update 1.10 October 20 Slapped Out

While we’ve already posted about the big NHL 21 day one update, EA Vancouver has released the NHL 21 update 1.10 October 20 patch! This should be live on the PS4 by the time you read this, with the Xbox One version getting it at a later date.

General

  • Bleeds now refresh all existing bleed durations on that target. This affects both enemies and players, and is a huge change for how bleeds will work.
  • Increased difficulty rate over time for all difficulties by +10%.
  • Developer Notes: In this update, we’ve buffed a ton of items – and also given players way more agency over the way a run progresses. Our goal is for players to be more engaged with the game – what we don’t want is for the game to be suddenly much easier. This is a bit of a sanity check, and shouldn’t dramatically change the difficulty.
  • Slightly reworked OSP. The goal is to fix inconsistencies – and make it actually protect you from one-shots – while also fixing some abuse cases with curse.
    • The threshold for OSP is now displayed on the healthbar with a faint graphic.
    • Now has a lingering 0.1s duration when activated.
    • :cloud_with_rain: Now is subtracted via Curse (Shaped Glass, Artifact of Glass, etc), i.e a curse of 10% will remove OSP entirely.
    • :cloud_with_rain: Update OSP logic so it still triggers if you receive multiple sources of damage in the same frame that go past OSP values, i.e Malachite Lesser Wisps

    Developer Notes: We’ve had a lot of feedback that elite health has always felt a bit bloated – and that subsequently, it makes the Old Guillotine feel required. Our intent is to make characters less reliant on the Old Guillotine, and to make it feel more like an elite hate item – and less of an overall DPS item.

Survivors

  • :cloud_with_rain::cloud_with_rain::cloud_with_rain:Mobility skills are now considered ‘sprinting’, scaling with sprint speed multipliers and also sprinting after use.
  • Melee Survivors
    • :cloud_with_rain: Melee skills will now perform more consistently at high attack speeds.
    • Melee skills will now scale hitpause duration with attack speed – since the pause when hitting enemies were static, melee characters actually scaled poorly with attack speed.
    • Melee skills will now ‘hold’ you in the air better at high attack speeds.
  • Added a ‘Keyword’ system. Keywords are just words to describe common repeated behavior without explaining it every time. Added the following keywords:

MUL-T
Developer Notes: MUL-T has gotten some love from this patch to really push forward the idea that his weapons are strong in specific roles. Faster swap time and more responsive actions for the weapons will (hopefully) make weapon swapping feel better. We’ve also admittedly creeped cooldowns down over time, and MUL-T felt a bit left behind.

Mercenary
Developer Notes: The Mercenary was always supposed to be the highest skill-cap survivor. However, in actual gameplay he became very flow-charty, using abilities directly off cooldown while holding down M1. The intent for all these changes is to allow skill expression, dynamic cooldowns, and higher risk vs reward in fights with the new ‘Exposed’ debuff. The hope is that the character will be stronger for advanced players, but weaker for new players.

  • Base Health: 140 (+42 per level) ⇒ 110 (+33 per level)
  • Base Regeneration: 2.5 health / second ⇒ 1 health / second
  • NEW Debuff: Exposed
    • Striking an Exposed target reduces all cooldowns by 1 second and deals an additional +350% base damage

    • Third hit now applies ‘Exposed’ debuff
    • The second and third hit of the combo can no longer be started in the middle of other attacks

We’re hoping that this can help diversify one of our “on-hit” items to be more than just attacking enemies and hoping things activate. We’ve also changed the behavior of Kjaro’s to be more of the AoE option, while Runald’s is the single target option.

Destiny 2 October 20 Update Today Flies Out for Hotfix 2.9.2.2

Destiny 2 players, Bungie has released the Destiny 2 October 20 update today, or what the studio calls hotfix 2.9.2.2! It’s mostly for fixes only, so don’t expect anything major. Head on below for the full patch notes. Note that this is a servers-side update, so there’s no need to download anything for the patch changes to reflect in-game.

  • Fixed an issue where rewards in the chests at the end of the Haunted Forest would incorrectly drop gear at 750 Power.

That’s it. As we’ve mentioned before, this is a server-side update, so there’s no need to download an actual patch, so the changes are minimal.

Destiny 2 Beyond Light Story Trailer Hints at New Threats

While we’ve already gotten a look at the new subclasses being introduced by Bungie in Destiny 2’s upcoming Beyond Light expansion, a new Destiny 2 Beyond Light story trailer has been released today, and it gives us a look at some of the incoming threats we’ll need to deal with come launch!

The Exo Stranger makes her first appearance since the fall of the Black Garden. Eramis seeks the Darkness to return her people to glory. Variks comes with a warning for Guardians, always the uneasy ally. Eris Morn is pulled closer to Europa, tempted by the knowledge of Stasis. The Drifter has survival as his compass, using his skills as a smooth talker, scavenger and hustler.

In darkness, there is only one truth…death. – Variks

Distrust is growing even among friends – a divide that will call into question all we know. Is there more to the Darkness than we thought?

Dead by Daylight Update 2.04 October 20 Brings Graphics Update & Mid-Chapter 4.3.0 Patch

Remember back in September when Behaviour Interactive announced that Dead by Daylight would be getting a graphical facelift? Well, it seems that the Dead by Daylight update 2.04 October 20 patch did just that, and then some! Today’s patch also brings the mid-chapter 4.3.0 patch. Read on for the changes.

FEATURES

THE EXECUTIONER BALANCE UPDATE

At the moment, the cost of missing a Punishment of the Damned attack is too high, and it’s too easy to fake Rites of Judgement into a basic attack. The following adjustments address these issues.

  • After cancelling Rites of Judgement:
  • Movement speed is 3.68 m/s for 1 second
  • Further attacks cannot be made for 1 second
  • Cooldown before further attacks after Punishment of the Damned reduced from 2.75 seconds to 2.25 seconds

Perks:

  • Trail of Torment: Undetectable now lasts until the affected Generator stops regressing or a Survivor is injured or put into the dying state by any means
  • Forced Penance: Broken Status effect lasts 60/70/80 seconds
  • Blood Pact: Haste bonus is now 5%/6%/7%, and lasts until the Survivors are no longer within 16 meters of each other

Perk Updates:

  • Any Means Necessary now awards Bloodpoints when used, and its cooldown has been reduced to 100/80/60 seconds

  • Thanataphobia no longer affects healing speed, and its penalties have been increased to 4%/4.5%/5%
  • Mindbreaker’s effect now lasts 3/4/5 seconds
  • Cruel Limits’s range has been increased to 32 meters
  • Slippery Meat no longer affects Bear Trap escapes, and now increases hook escape attempt probabilities by 2%/3%/4%. These escape attempt percentages are additive, i.e. with this perk the chance of escaping the hook is now 6%/7%/8%
  • Discordance now has limited range of 32/64/96 meters. It triggers one loud noise for a Generator when it’s first marked. The aura of the Generator remains visible as long as the conditions are fulfilled. From the time the conditions are no longer fulfilled, the aura remains for another 8 seconds
  • Hex: Huntress Lullaby now only affects healing and repairing skill checks
  • Technician now prevents all Generator explosions from missed skill checks. The Generator loses and additional 5%/4%/3% progress for missed skill checks
  • Pop Goes the Weasel now lasts 35/40/45 seconds

Vicarious Visions has made an announcement regarding today’s patch!

We’re excited to announce that personal party features are now live in Multiplayer including private skate sessions, party migration, and leader promotion. Play against friends in your own private matches in all maps or your own Create-A-Parks, or hang out in Free Skate. #THPS

Vicarious Visions has not released the official patch notes just yet, but thanks to the game’s community, we have a list of some of the new stuff and changes included in today’s patch!

Red Dead Online Weekly Update October 20 Brings Dead of Night Mode, Halloween Pass

It’s Tuesday, and that means Rockstar Games has rolled out the Red Dead Online weekly update October 20 activities and discounts refresh! Same as before, check out the highlights and summary below.

As one might expect, with Halloween right around the corner, there’s a new zombies mode, the Halloween Pass and more!

Red Dead Online Weekly Update October 20. 2020:

NEW DEAD OF NIGHT MODE

Brand new mode Dead of Night pits four teams in a gruesome fight for survival – against each other and The Dead. Points are scored for taking out The Dead, with higher point tally for causing the demise of your rival players.

Find and steal a Night Stalker mask to take on supernatural abilities and the competitive edge. Complete a Round of Dead of Night anytime over the next seven days to earn triple the usual payout and a care package consisting of 3 Tomahawks, 10 Volatile Fire bottles and 25 Incendiary Buckshot Slugs.

Here’s this week’s summary of activities:

  • New Dead of Night Mode: Four teams compete to score the most points by taking out The Dead, with higher point tallies causing the demise of other players, plus those who play within the next seven days will get triple payouts and a care package containing 3 Tomahawks, 10 Volatile Fire bottles and 25 Incendiary Buckshot Slugs
  • New Legendary Panthers sighted in local swamps: The Legendary Nightwalker Panther has been spotted at dusk south of Bolger Glade, while the albino Ghost Panther has been seen hunting deer around the Bluewater Marsh area

PGA Tour 2K21 Update 1.05 October 20 Adds Halloween Content

Golf gamers, HB Studios has rolled out the PGA Tour 2K21 update 1.05 October 20 patch, and this is for Halloween! There are new customization items for MyPlayer! Check out the new trailer for today’s update and more details below.

The new customization items include a Halloween-themed pumpkin helmet, oversized hats and shutter shades. You can also clown your crew as you take to the green with an assortment of unorthodox new putters shaped like a banana, taco, hot dog and fish. Halloween is almost here, and PGA TOUR 2K21 is about to get weird.

We’re on the lookout if HB Studios made gameplay-related changes as well, since we’re looking forward to matchmaking fixes. If we find any, we’ll update the post. If you spot any gameplay-related changes from today’s patch, let us know down in the comments.

PS5 Share Factory Will Feature 4K and HDR Support

Known Issues – ALL platforms

Campaign

  • Master Levels are not accessible via the Fortress of DOOM terminal. Until a fix is implemented, you can access Master Levels from the Main Menu/Campaign/Master Level interface.
  • In rare cases, you may encounter player camera issues when reloading a checkpoint from the Pause Menu. Until a fix is implemented, you will need to reload a save or restart the level to resolve this issue.
  • Backing out of a Party while playing the campaign on Ultra Nightmare difficulty causes the Party Tab in the Social menu to lose functionality. Until a fix is implemented, exiting, and reloading the campaign at a different difficulty will resolve the issue.
  • Reloading a checkpoint or exiting to the Main Menu shortly after unlocking Fast Travel for any level may result in Fast Travel becoming unavailable. Until a fix is implemented, avoid using Fast Travel until you have completed a level entirely.

BATTLEMODE

  • The “Extinction Level Slayer” and “Aggressive Transfusion” Milestones can only be completed in Campaign. This will be fixed in an upcoming update.
  • Resetting customized Demon controls to Default only resets the Archvile controls. Until a fix is implemented, you’ll need to manually reset custom controls for all other Demons.
  • In very rare circumstances, when loading into BATTLEMODE matches users will spawn outside the gameplay arena. Restart the game to resolve this issue.
  • Kicking a player from a BATTLEMODE match and then disconnecting can result in the player’s podium being replaced by the podium of the player who was kicked. Exit the lobby to resolve this issue.
  • In rare circumstances, BATTLEMODE parties can end up in a bad state, presenting party members with repeating error messages. This issue can be resolved by recreating the party.
  • After a matchmaking failure, BATTLEMODE menu options can appear as inaccessible in certain circumstances. Restart the title to regain access to all menu options.

BATTLEMODE Known Issues – Xbox One Only

  • Xbox One players may encounter the social menu appearing in front of the BATTLEMODE lobby menu when loading into a private match. This issue will self-resolve.

FAQ – PS4 Only

Issue: I purchased the Year One Pass as a standalone product on the PlayStation Store before September 23, 2020 but can’t play BATTLEMODE or The Ancient Gods Part One, even though it’s launched. How do I get access to the content that I paid for?

Resolution: You’ll need to first download and install the DOOM Eternal (Base Game). To do this, go the PlayStation Store, and type in “DOOM Eternal (Base Game)”, then download and install it. Once the Base Game is installed, you will be able to play BATTLEMODE and The Ancient Gods – Part One.

Known Issues – ALL platforms

  • Game may crash after skipping the Facility Destruction cinematic after the Marauder fight in UAC Atlantica. Do not skip this cutscene to avoid this issue. This will be fixed in a future update.
  • Entering water immediately after a checkpoint save can generate a bad state if the player exits the game before reaching another checkpoint. Avoid closing the game while in water if possible. The player’s weapons will disappear if the game is forcibly closed in this unusual situation.
  • In rare situations the player can remain swimming when getting out of the water. Walk back into and mantle out of the water to fix

With Hi-Rez Studios releasing the big SMITE Trickster God update a few weeks ago, the bonus update tied to that is now live! The studio has released the SMITE update 11.58 October 20 patch, and there are god changes and more. Head on below for the official notes.

Items

HEARTSEEKER
There has been a lot of discussion on damage and penetration since Mid Season 7, and our stats show that Assassins are contributing to most of the damage increases. They got some strong new items and meta shifts that has empowered them to deal more DPS than previous eras of SMITE. We are making two adjustments to this concept. First, Heartseekers % Health damage is coming down across the board, to reduce damage to tanks.
  • Decreased bonus damage from 3-6% to 2-5% of the targets max health
    • Range of damage still scales off of the owners power at the same rate

SERRATED EDGE
Along with the Heartseeker change, we are also applying a small nerf to the stats on Serrated Edge. This item is allowing Assassins to run down enemies of all types, so we are nerfing the movement speed in line with our past concerns about too much of that stat floating around the game, as well as to take a little bit of “edge” of this item’s total stats.
  • Decreased Movement Speed from 10% to 7%

Gods

LOKI
Loki’s rework has hit the battleground to great reception! He has been in the majority of games and the feedback surrounding his previous frustrations seem to be greatly improved. The goal was to bring new strengths to his ability to fight enemy gods while giving enemies more room to counterplay his previous tactics. He is essentially a new god in terms of balance which means players still have some learning to do before they can fully unlock his potential. With that being said we do see some consistent feedback around power and feel and want to address those while players continue to learn him.
Agonizing Visions felt like it lacked a little damage even when getting a target stuck inside it. A boost to its scaling will help Assassin Loki’s who find good opportunities get more damage out. Flurry Strikes is also getting a scaling boost on its initial damage with an additional slow to anyone that is hit by the first five strikes. The reward for landing Flurry Strikes as well as the ability to keep someone in it was too high so these changes will help Loki bring more consistent higher damage to a fight. We will continue to watch new Loki and look forward to seeing his gameplay evolve over the course of the next few patches!

AGONIZING VISIONS
  • Increased Physical Power Scaling from 10% to 15%

FLURRY STRIKE
  • Increased Flurry Damage Scaling from 15% to 18% on the Initial 5 Strikes
    • (135% to 150% total Scaling, 5 Initial Strike + 6th Final Strike)
  • Each Initial strike now applies a 15% slow that refreshes. The final hit still applies a 30% slow
SUN WUKONG
In this Bonus Update we will be nerfing a lot of the top SPL picks in every role. Junglers had their items nerfed instead, but every other class will be seeing nerfs to the top 2 gods. Sun Wukong has steadily risen in performance throughout the year due to some direct buffs and meta shifts. He can dish out a lot of damage while also being extremely evasive for a Warrior. We are taking down the top-end damage on his ult to bring him in line with the rest of the class.

SOMERSAULT CLOUD
  • Decreased Physical Power Scaling from 120% to 100%
AMATERASU
It pains me to type this but we have yet another nerf for Amaterasu. She has continued to dominate pro play with her stronger early game that transitions well into late game team presence. Her Ultimate provides high damage and high CC, and was at a surprisingly low cooldown for its strength. Ultimate cooldowns tend to affect the highest level of play more than ranked or normals, so this feels like a fair nerf for her considering that she has had a few in a row now.

DAZZLING OFFENSIVE
  • Cooldown Increased from 75s to 95/90/85/80/75s
CUPID
This little guy has been putting up big numbers. Cupid has quickly become the actual #1 hunter across the game, in both pick/ban% as well as win-rate. When looking at his numbers there is one that clearly stands out. Heart Bomb has an insane amount of Physical Scaling. His early lane clear is much better with recent buffs, and his team fight presence has always been top tier, so it seems fair to bring down his primary damaging ability.

HEART BOMB
  • Decreased Power Scaling from 90% to 80% on both the hit and the explode
    • (180% to 160% total, hits 2 times)
RAMA
The snipe montages have been flowing freely ever since Rama’s heavy balance adjustments earlier this year. These changes caused Rama to skyrocket in priority to the top of the role. His lane phase and consistent damage output are both strong, but what seems to be making the biggest impact in pro play is team coordination with his ultimate to pick off high profile targets. We are taking this damage down slightly to make these picks a little harder to pull off.

ASTRAL BARRAGE

HERA
The Queen of the Gods has become the Queen of the Mid Lane. Hera, and Argus, bring some unique utility to the Mid role, while also having high damage and strong CC. Hera is surprisingly hard to gank for a goddess with no mobility. This is an expected result of her strong self peel, but it can also be directly balanced through adjustments to her shielding ability. We are bringing that level scaling number down to put Hera players in a bit more danger throughout the match.

DIVINE SHROUD
  • Decreased the Health on the shield from 20*Hera’s Level to 15*Hera’s Level
HE BO
The god with 4 ultimates. A nickname affectionately given to He Bo’s powerful kit. Even with high pro performance for most of the season, he tends to coast under the radar for casual players. He Bo is a riskier Mage with an all-in play style who flexes well into the Jungle. We are taking down his damage as well as his utility to make sure there is room for more mages in the meta.

ATLAS OF THE YELLOW RIVER
  • Decreased Slow from 25/30/35/40/45% to 20/25/30/35/40%

KUZENBO
HEEEEEEEEYYY! Kuzenbo’s level one Sumo Slam has slain many a god. The damage potential of this ability became apparent once Sumo Slam was given a more forgiving turn radius. We like the reward Kuzenbo players get for playing aggressive and utilizing its damage, but this was simply too much.

SUMO SLAM
  • Decreased Damage from 80/110/140/170/200 to 60/95/130/165/200
HERCULES
There are few things more frightening than a Hercules running at you full speed ready to burst you down. Strength From Pain provides Hercules with a large amount of free stats that make him difficult to effectively fight, allowing a full tank Hercules to brawl with the best of them. Decreasing the power gained from this Passive will improve many scenarios where it feels like a Herculean effort to overcome Hercules.

  • Decreased Base Physical Power from 5+1 per level to 2+1 per level per stack
