Death Stranding Reference Spotted in Perfume Ad; Check It Out Now

Cosmetic company O Boticário recently published a commercial for their new perfume dubbed as “The Blend,” and while this is just that, a commercial for a perfume, there is oddly a scene that has many Death Stranding fans pointing out to be a direct reference. Don’t believe there’s a Death Stranding reference? Check it out for yourself below.

You can see the comparison picture below from the perfume commercial (via Reddit) and the Death Stranding TGA 2017 trailer. We made a side-by-side .gif of it so you can decide for yourself.

Death Stranding game creator Hideo Kojima in the past has been known to do some crazy, yet weird viral marketing for his games. With Metal gear Solid V, he set out to mislead the world by dubbing a strange new game from a newly found (but fake) studio called Moby Dick. With Metal Gear Solid 4 we saw many merchandising crossovers, and in fact when you started that game up you were treated with an assortment of all kinds of weird videos that took place in the Metal gear Solid universe.

Point here is, we know he does some strange things, and Death Stranding is no exception to that rule. Chances are, Kojima most likely played no part in this and that the company simply saw the Death Stranding trailer and was clearly inspired by it to include such a scene.

Maybe this is some Death Stranding viral marketing ploy? Perhaps a Death Stranding perfume (highly unlikely). What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gunsmith Tease Confirms Guns Will Feature 5 Attachments

Just last week, we reported that the rumor of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare weapons having five attachments available for customization seems legit based on what was shown during the Gunfight mode gameplay reveal. Today, it’s 100 percent confirmed! In a new post by Activision regarding the Modern Warfare Gunsmith teaser, the publisher confirmed that guns in Modern Warfare will have five attachment slots.

This confirmation was part of today’s Modern Warfare teaser that was posted to whet appetites for the August 1 multiplayer gameplay reveal.

Gunsmithing is a robust weapon customization option for your two main Loadout weapons: Each Primary and Secondary Weapon can be augmented to give you the precise type and style of firepower you require for any type of multiplayer game mode. You can customize up to five parts of each weapon, until your available slots are filled. With Assault rifles, for example, you usually have nine areas of the weapon to augment: The Muzzle, Lasers, Optic, Stock, Rear Grip, Magazine, Underbarrel, Barrel, or a Perk. Choose wisely.

Rumor: Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC Might Feature Aliens in the Vein of Undead Nightmare

Update: The rumor has been confirmed as fake by the Reddit user himself in a new post.

A new rumor about Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC is gaining traction on Reddit from an anonymous source who alleges to know an environment artist at Rockstar Games. The user by the name of throwaway11113454, states that new content is being developed with a planned release date sometime in the first fiscal quarter of 2020.

Throwaway11113454 says the new DLC will focus around aliens, and be in the same vein as Red Dead Redemption’s: Undead Nightmare. The Reddit user also claims that players will play as Arthur and that the original Red Dead Redemption is getting remade.

You’re still Arthur in this DLC. That’s I was told about that. And for Red Dead Redemption remastered is not actually a remaster, it’s a remake. All the new features from the new game are going to be imported into RDR 1 plus the map is getting expanded a bit to make it more vast (rdr 2 map is not apart of this because it is not needed in the story, it’s mostly just making the desert bigger.)

Comicbook.com (who first reported on the rumor), reports that previous Easter eggs in the game hint at the appearance of extraterrestrials in various missions and locations around the world. previous rumors suggested more zombies might be featured again, but none of this has been verified or been provided with credible sources, so far now treat this information as wishful thinking.

Fallout 76 Veteran Mode Pitched by High Level Players

A new way of playing Fallout 76 has been suggested by a number of players in the community: Fallout 76 Veteran Mode. This new game mode would be optional for high level players, offering more challenge and better rewards for hardcore Vault Dwellers.

In a post on Reddit, user BackpackMarv posted about how, in a recent patch to Fallout 76, Bethesda have lowered the level requirements in a number of areas. They said that they think this is good because it stops players from going into areas and being totally annihilated by what should be lower level enemies. However, they added that they believe it’s not a great thing for high level players, who are now only left with a few areas in which to grind for loot against the game’s toughest creatures.

Their suggestion is that the core game of Fallout 76 plays in what would be called ‘normal mode,’ which is currently Adventure Mode. Here the enemies would be scaled to players, roughly, and kept at fairly low levels so that anyone seeking to progress through main quests and side quests can do so without any unpleasant surprises. This would be great for those of us who love to explore the game’s environments, picking apart the stories from carefully placed items in the world.

At level 50 however, a new, completely optional, mode would become available. This is where Veteran Mode comes into play. The idea is; when in Veteran Mode players are added to higher level servers. These servers might simply have higher level enemies, or they could start at level 50 and scale up to level 100. BackpackMarv also said that adding in some open world bosses, such as a Scorchbeast Queen, might not be a bad idea to keep things interesting.

The point of Veteran Mode wouldn’t be to punish high level players for thinking they’re better than everyone, and wanting more of a challenge. It would be to award better gear for greater challenges. Veteran Mode would award high level gear and weapons, allowing players at or above level 50 to earn some of the best items in the game, without compromising the experience for lower level players, who might stumble across them in the middle of a high level fight otherwise.

BackpackMarv adds that because there are only about 24 players on each server, the experience wouldn’t be compromised for either low level, or high level players. The proportions would be so small that the two groups would barely miss each other, unless high level players wanted to help a group, or get help from a group, having fun firing nukes.

In his most-recent video JuiceHead, a popular Bethesda YouTuber, talked about the change to areas becoming lower level, and therefore more accessible, as a bad thing. He’s played a lot of Fallout 76 and is at the endgame stage, which unfortunately consists of nothing more than killing high level enemies. Of course, with fewer areas to now do that in, the endgame for Fallout 76 is becoming poorer.

With QuakeCon 2019 starting soon there’s going to be lots more news about Fallout 76 on the way. Hopefully some of the information will go part of the way to address the issue at the core of Veteran Mode, providing more challenge for high level players and a better Fallout 76 endgame.

Rainbow Six Siege Y4S2.3 Patch Notes and Update Now Live for PC, Here’s Everything in It

Today, Ubisoft Montreal has released a Rainbow Six Siege PC update, and t’s full of game fixes, and gameplay balancing changes. The Rainbow Six Siege Y4S2.3 patch notes can be read below. This patch will be out later this week on consoles, and once it is, we’ll let our readers know.

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

RFF ANTI-GRIEFING

  • Addition of further RFF parameters to take into account damage history to a player from the offender over multiple rounds in a match.
    • Continued chip damage to an individual from another teammate over several rounds will stack RFF points more quickly.
  • Putting a teammate into DBNO will activate RFF.
    • Reviving the DBNO teammate will remove the RFF activation.
    • Bleeding out from DBNO will prompt the dead player to mark the TK as intentional or not.

IDLE KICK TIMER

  • Idle kick warning timer will display 10 seconds before a kick.

LAN VOICE CHAT

  • LAN/Offline modes in-game voice chat has been removed for optimization purposes.
  • PvP/Online voice chat will not be affected.

BALANCING

SHIELD HIP-FIRE

  • Hip-fire cone increased.
  • We have standardized the hip-fire penalization when you have a Ballistic Shield equipped. Having a shield equipped will now increase it by the same amount. Spread has increased for every Operator when a shield is equipped, but Fuze, Montagne and Blitz will be the most impacted by the change.

BALLISTIC SHIELD MELEE

  • Performing a melee attack with a Ballistic Shield equipped will now only injure and DBNO the opponent, instead of killing them.
  • The new changes for melee attacks while using a Ballistic Shield will impact Blitz, Fuze, Montagne and Recruit.

ECHO

  • Reduced Yokai Sonic Burst disorientating effect base duration to 7 seconds (down from 10s).

We are running low on AAA batteries, so to save energy we’re tuning down Yokai’s power a bit.

GLAZ

  • Reduced time it takes to trigger the vision penalty when moving or rotating, lowering the overall vision penalty when moving.
  • Movement time before complete vision is lost is now 6 seconds (up from 2.5s).
  • The speed at which the vision penalty is applied when rotating has also been slowed down.

Glaz has been feeling a bit left out so we gave him some incentive to join the party.

JACKAL

  • Reduced the number of pings from a scan to 4 (down from 5), reduced time being tracked by 5 seconds.

You can rest easier now. Maybe.

MAVERICK

  • Modified breaching torch sound SFX.
  • Breaching torch sounds will now be easier to hear when Maverick is making a hole close to you.

Can you hear me now?

NØKK

  • Increased Nøkk’s ability duration to 12 seconds and increased the refill timer to 12 seconds.
  • With the longer duration, and cooldown, you’ll be able to better leverage her ability.

As per the law of equivalent exchange, you can now spend longer being spooky, but also spend longer getting a full refill.

BUG FIXES

GAMEPLAY

  • FIXED – Under certain circumstances, after emptying the magazine, weapons cannot be reloaded.
  • FIXED – After joining in progress, any Yokai drones or hacked Mozzie drones outside will not display the jammed VFX to the player who joined midway.

OPERATORS

CLASH

  • FIXED – Missing SFX for Clash when equipping her CCE Shield.

MIRA

  • FIXED – Sometimes placing Mira’s Mirror on a reinforced wall may not breach both sides of the wall.

LEVEL DESIGN

KAFE

  • FIXED – Players can spawn peek the Docks.

USER EXPERIENCE

  • FIXED – Starting any situation after completing a Custom Online game will start a Thunt Lone Wolf on the same map and mode as the Custom Online game.
  • FIXED – Players are unable to reconnect to a Ranked session via the dynamic Play button and remain in queue unless they relaunch.

Again, don’t forget, console (PS4, XB1) players will get this same patch on July 24. Once it’s out, we’ll report on the file size and any changes Ubisoft might have included that’s not in the patch notes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Reveal Teased With Gun Attachments Clip

While we’ve already seen gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from last week’s Gunfught mode reveal, the actual Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal is scheduled for August 1. We’re assuming that’s when we’ll see the actual perks, killstreaks, and more showcased, and of course, gameplay footage of the regular multiplayer modes like Domination, TDM, and more.

Today, the official Call of Duty Twitter account reminded us that of the Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal with a short clip showcasing the gun attachments in the game. Check it out.

https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1153349005319032832

As you can see, we’re going back to boots on the grounds gun attachments too! We can see the traditional scopes (gun sights), underbarrel, and other attachments being switched around. Of course, this shouldn’t really be anything new since we already know the game will feature traditional guns, and we’ve already mentioned how guns in the game will have five attachments, which is a deviation from Treyarch’s way of handling weapons.

Stay tuned here on MP1st for the latest Modern Warfare news, features and more ahead of the August 1 reveal.

Dota 2: If Your Team Sucks, You Suck Too

If you’re into Esports you probably know what Dota 2 is, but for the faint chance you came here without knowing, let’s introduce the game to you.

Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), a real-time strategy game in which you control a character and battle other players in teams. Usually what you need to do is to destroy some structure that is defended by the other team. In Dota 2 you have to destroy a large structured called “Ancient” that is opponents base.

Your character is called a “Hero” and it can be either a “carry” or “support” character. Carries become more powerful as the match progresses and then can lead your team to victory. Supporters are there to assist other carries.

Although characters can be divided into those two roles, they have specific skills that make them unique. As of June 2018, there were 115 different heroes to choose from in Dota 2, each one with their quirks!

Dota 2 works in the same framework as MOBA games: you have a map where two teams battle each other. This map has three lanes where the action takes place. Your strategy should be worked out according to which kind of characters work best for certain lanes in certain conditions.

It sounds simple, but it’s not. Dota 2 is a highly complex game that requires time and has a steep learning curve that sets off new players. You can play for fun, but if you want to develop your skills in the game you need to take it a bit more serious than other casual games.

The importance of teamwork cannot be underestimated in Dota 2. To see what I mean by that check the journey of OG, the winners of The International, the most important competition in Dota 2 in the world. Their philosophy of teamwork led them to be champions when against all odds.

The skill level of each player is determined by a system called Matchmaking Rating, often abbreviated ‘MMR’. This value is used to place players within the same range level of skill to battle, avoiding unbalanced matches. So as you make progress and raise your MMR you will face tougher opponents.

But, the thing is, when you’re a low-level player it doesn’t matter that much if your team sucks because probably everyone sucks at the same rate. As you progress in the game your team skills as a whole start matter as much as each player’s skills. There will be a point where you might be playing your A-game, but if your team is not up to the challenge, your match is going to be a mess.

So it is only natural that to become a team player you should develop good habits from the beginning! So if you’re a new player there is a comprehensive dota 2 beginner guide to help you cultivate a good teamwork mindset and get you ready to become a more competent player.

The mindset you should adopt at this point is “If my team sucks I suck too.” This empowers you with a leadership that is needed to get your game to the next level. Sure, there are toxic players everywhere, but due to the system if you behave well chances are you’ll end up with people who also behave well. So whenever you feel like you’re in a toxic environment, mute them and try to do your best. There isn’t much you can do.

But remember, at the end of the day, if you lose matches constantly, and keep on blaming your team, the problem might be your play! Check yourself whenever you feel you’re feeling like the fault is always on other players.

New Overwatch Hero Sigma Leaked by Blizzard Update

Blizzard may have accidentally revealed Overwatch hero Sigma, the next hero who will join the roster available to players in each match. While Blizzard are well-known for including small details that hint at big future updates to their games, this leak really could be a complete accident.

In a Tweet that was originally meant to show off the new role queue feature in Overwatch, some players uncovered an image they’d never seen before. The image, which you can see below, contains details about a player’s statistics, though it is mean to be temporary artwork.

new-overwatch-hero-sigma-leaked-by-blizzard-update-1

The first hero listed in the above image however, is new new Overwatch hero Sigma, at least that’s what players believe. We’ve added a close up below.

new-overwatch-hero-sigma-leaked-by-blizzard-update-2

Once this news broke it went viral throughout the Overwatch community. The following day Jeff Kaplan, Game Director for Overwatch, featured in a short video that was made to appear as the beginning of a developer update. The video begins with Kaplan saying how excited he is to talk about this update, only to be sucked into a singularity and disappear, with mathematic equations flying around in the white space left at the end of the video.

Given that Sigma is associated with maths, it seems likely that the video featuring Kaplan was either a direct result of this unintended leak, or Blizzard is gearing up to reveal new Overwatch hero Sigma.

Who is Sigma?

Sigma is the eighteenth letter of the Greek alphabet, and has a numerical value of 200 in Greek numerals. Sigma is also used in a number of ancient and modern languages for various different sounds, but it seems likely that Blizzard are doubling down on the mathematical origins of the symbol for their new Overwatch hero.

As we saw with the video of Jeff Kaplan, Sigma’s abilities will probably focus around a singularity, the point at which it is theorised both lies at the centre of a black hole, and was all that existed before the big bang, and the creation of the universe. Maths is incredibly powerful when applied to physics, so Sigma will almost certainly use physics and experimental technology as weapons.

If we take the Kaplan video at face value, then Sigma’s Ultimate Ability will be a singularity that sucks everything into oblivion, including other heroes.

Adding further fuel to theories surrounding Sigma as a math hero, one Overwatch fan found the following images on the official Overwatch website.

sigma

The web address where this information was uncovered now presents an error telling users that the page doesn’t exist. Due to this it’s impossible to tell if the information was real, but we’ll include it word for word here for you.

Sigma uses his skills to be able to defend his allies in battle by absorbing the damage received to his sonic robotics improvements, being this a human shield. His sonic mini rail gun helps him ward off enemies with high sonic damage. Likewise, it deploys an sonic mesh in an entire area, safeguarding large-scale areas.

The information could simply be a placeholder, or a fake, given the slightly broken English used. The biography in the second image names Sigma as Sigma Correia dos Santos, age 54. Sigma’s occupation is listed as a scientist and creator, based in India, Utopaea. Sigma is associated with the Vishkar Corporation, and Talon.

Sigma’s abilities make is sound like he absorbs damage in order to gain ammo for his sonic rail gun. The rail gun can also become a mesh that will damage enemies who step on it, but what is his weapon once he’s done that? As a Tank, Sigma can probably take a lot of damage, but it’s unlikely that he would ever be completely weaponless. Only time will tell if these leaked images turn out to be real.

How Online Gaming Can Improve Relationships

Video games have often been seen as a solitary activity, creating anti-social and even aggressive behaviour. With the swift advancement of social technologies, today’s researchers are increasingly interested in the role of these games and the social spaces they inhabit. These are new online environments where people can meet new friends and engage with old ones. Current research is beginning to show some interesting and thought-provoking findings. It is proving more accurate to say that video games are good for people. Gaming is now shown to improve emotional and psychological well-being, particularly for youngsters, and joining in as a family can build stronger and healthier relationships.

Online Gaming Makes Teens More Social

There have been many studies that have looked into the role video games play in behaviour and health outcomes for adolescents. According to a study from Pew Research Center, 52% of teens who play with peers online also play with individuals who are not their friends outside of gameplay. These sociable online games involve lots of strategies, teamwork and interaction. While playing, teens are also chatting about their lives and thoughts, so it’s simultaneously an immersive social experience. There is clear evidence to show that online gaming improves mood, reduces stress levels and increases confidence. Along with this, it produces intense feelings of connections with other players, which is excellent news for relationships and sociability.

Improve Productivity And Relationships At Work

Statistics show that more than 35% of gamers who work play video games while at work at least once a month. At the same time, any strong company culture is known to produce a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Gamification can be used to harness this power, encourage it, and improve relationships between employees. To achieve this, you can introduce a game that will foster teamwork and motivate employees to support and reward each other for performance. The most important thing though, is that working relationships will improve and employees will be doing work willingly because the games are a fun integration.

Classic video games like Fortnite and Call of Duty are known to improve relationships, communication and problem-solving skills. Online slots, in particular, are ideal for the workplace as they can be played on mobile in short sessions. The demand for quick play games has increased due to this time factor, as most players don’t have more than 30 minutes to spare for gaming while working. Many online casinos, such as Grand Mondial which you can read about here, now offer the opportunity to play a fast but potentially rewarding game, while hanging out with co-workers.

They Can Forge Close Teamwork As A Couple

Video games can be incredible experiences that bring couples closer together. They are complex stories that teach us about the world, morals, cultures and intricate relationships. Although they are great fun to play, research shows that they can increase levels of communication and bonding. Working together as a team means that you have a joint goal and some safe levels of friendly rivalry. Problem solving, communication and encouragement are all a focus during these gaming challenges. Most importantly, you are creating fantastic memories together, so why wait, you’ll find examples of fun games for couples here.

Games Can Help You Communicate Better

According to many researchers, playing online video games is proven to improve general communication skills. Gameplay today often creates new communication circles, outside of normal social ones, as there are a completely different set of ‘life rules’ in play. One of the main aspects is that they also open up and facilitate social interaction between people that would never have met. Gaming gives you the overall ability to gain an understanding of new and different perspectives, meaning that it can also foster non-biased opinions and communication about topics and interests that are not available elsewhere.

Improves Family Ties And Bonds

Studies have also investigated the close relationship between families who play video games together and the behavioural and long-term family outcomes. Results showed extremely positive outcomes, with more open communication and less aggressive behaviour. Research points to the fact that parents and children should try to play together as it has such a profound impact on adolescent development and family ties. It also means that gameplay is an encompassing point of conversation, not conflict, so this shared experience promotes high levels of well-being, bonding and learning.

A study from ResearchGate concluded families that frequently played together stayed together. It’s an important fact; if parents take an interest in their children’s online gaming and join in with teamwork-based challenges, they are already supporting each other individually and jointly as a family team.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Will Have More Familiar Faces Other Than Captain Price

[tps_footer][/tps_footer]

While we already know that Captain Price will be returning in this year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it looks like he won’t be the only familiar face returning. Over on Amazon, checking the McFarlane line of toys for Modern Warfare line up shows at least two “to be announced” Modern Warfare characters joining this “soft” reboot, one of them obviously being Capt. Price which is confirmed to be the one from the upcoming release.

Not only that, but over on Twitter, user Bazooka Joe posted a screenshot of some of the McFarlane Mortal Kombat toys at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con also revealed a card showcasing some of the Modern Warfare characters, and some of them are kept in the dark — literally!

In addition to these mysterious characters, a fan asked Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki if we’re going to see some familiar faces in the game (Modern Warfare) other than Captain Price, and Kurosaki replied with a straightforward “Yep.”

Got any guesses on who these characters could be? If so, share ’em down in the comments below. Don’t forget, the full multiplayer reveal is happening this August 1, so make sure to mark that in your calendar.

Buying All the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Black Market Items Will Cost You Over $1,300

Have you ever bought an item in Call of Duty: Black Op’s Black Market? Have you ever wondered how much it would cost to buy every single thing available? Well, we know the answer to that now. It seems the Black Ops 4 Black Market items total cost is over a staggering $1,300!

Over on the Black Ops 4 subreddit, user Squiggly998 posted a computation of it basing the price on every Operation that Treyarch has released so far. The grand total for buying all the Black Ops 4 Black Market items is at a pretty $1,324.48 (USD), and note that this does not include tiers, Reserves, or any items that are available for purchase in Operation Apocalypse Z, and this only accounts for items that have been available for purchase in the Black Market from all the completed Operations (Apocalypse Z is still currently on-going).

This is a breakdown of how much you’d spend on each Black Ops 4 Operation to get all the items available in that Operation’s Black Market:

Operation First Strike:

CoD Points = 44,900 CP

USD = $345.35

AUD = $490.41

CAD = $451.49

Operation Absolute Zero:

CoD Points = 55,100 CP

USD = $423.80

AUD = $601.82

CAD = $554.05

Operation Grand Heist:

CoD Points = 28,300 CP

USD = $217.67

AUD = $309.10

CAD = $284.57

Operation Spectre Rising:

CoD Points = 20,100 CP

USD = $154.60

AUD = $219.54

CAD = $202.12

Operation Days of Summer:

CoD Points = 23,800 CP

USD = $183.06

AUD = $259.95

CAD = $239.32

Grand Total:

CoD Points = 172,200 CP

USD = $1,324.48

AUD = $1,880.83

CAD = $1,731.56

Doing the math, if you bought the game at launch for its usual price of $60, you’d have spent 22x the amount of the base game just to buy everything from Blackjack’s shop.

Needless to say, this has not gone over well with the community, with the post now at over 3,000 upvotes and counting, and users calling for pro consumer organizations to take a peek at what’s happening. What might be even sadder than the total amount being this high is you just know that someone paid this amount or close to it to get every little doodad in the game.

While we’ve already reported (numerous times) on how unpleasant the whole Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Black Market has been so far for players, who would have guessed that it’d cost this much just to get every virtual item in game so far?

Let’s hope that this year’s Modern Warfare won’t have the same microtransaction system that Black Ops 4 currently employs, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.

BioWare Aware of Anthem Freeplay Kick Issue and Is Investigating It

While BioWare is readying for Anthem’s Cataclysm roll out to give players new content to chew on, it seems some of the bugs plaguing the game still haven’t been resolved, and has even gotten worse. If you play Anthem in freeplay mode, you might have been experienced the Anthem freeplay kick issue that seemingly has been getting more frequent.

Over on the Anthem subreddit, multiple people have reported on how, without warning, they get booted out of the game in freeplay.

Fortunately, BioWare is aware of the issue and is currently investigating it based on what they replied to the players plagued by this issue.

We are aware that some players have been experiencing more kicks from Freeplay recently. The team is looking into this and what might be causing it.

Given the lack of content updates and communication from the studio, let’s hope that this Anthem freeplay kick issue is resolved soon, as I don’t think the player base will stand for this long-term given the competition out there.

Have you encountered any other game-breaking issue in Anthem that keeps recurring? If so, share your thoughts in the comments below.

Apex Legends Console Keyboard and Mouse Users: Respawn Investigating Ways to Detect It

There’s possibly more annoying and infuriating than playing against a cheater in an online game. While there are various ways to cheat, there’s also an indirect way, which some people are doing on console shooters, and that’s using keyboard and mouse controls to go up against those who are playing a traditional game controller. If you’re one of the many people annoyed at the Apex Legends console keyboard and mouse users, you’re in luck!

In this week’s Respawn Check-In, studio Community Manager Jay Frechette mentioned that the studio considers Apex Legends console keyboard and mouse users as cheaters, and that the studio is investigating ways to detect it.

MOUSE & KEYBOARD USE ON CONSOLES

Our stance on this? The short answer is: we don’t condone it. We are investigating ways to detect if players are doing it that we’re testing internally. That’s all we have to say on it for now but we’ll revisit this and talk about progress with detection and how we’ll address players that are using it in the near future.

In addition to that, the studio has also updated the Dev Tracker which lists down the known issues the studio is working on.

This is definitely good news, right? Personally, I abhor cheating in online games as it ruins the experience for everyone. Up to this day, I am baffled why people do this at all.

The Big O 2.0 Combines a PC, Xbox X, PS4 Pro and Switch for the Ultimate Machine

Ever wanted an all-in-one machine that can play all your favorite games with just one device? Well, there’s a device that can do that that exists right now. Dubbed as the “Big O 2.0” this massive custom built rig by Origin PC combines all the latest consoles with a powerful PC to give us a machine that can play any current-gen title. Though it is most likely extremely expensive, don’t get to excited at the thought of owning one as it won’t be going on sale.

In a recent video published by YouTuber Unbox Therapy, we get a full rundown of the system, showcasing its beautiful custom design that combines the PS4 Pro, Xbox X, Nintendo Switch and a high-end PC. Packed with a cooling system to keep the system from overheating, the Big O honors the Legacy that Origin PC had set out a decade ago with their previous combined system.

To celebrate our 10th anniversary of building the best custom high-performance PCs, we decided to built the ultimate, most epic, custom PC to honor our legacy. We call it “The Big O”
The big O name is a throwback to our hulking PC from 2009 that combined a high-end gaming PC with an Xbox 360. This 2019 edition of the Big O combines an Xbox One X, a PlayStation 4 Pro, a Nintendo Switch, and an extremeley high end gaming PC all into our flagship GENESIS desktop chassis.
The Xbox One X and PlayStation Pro are both hard line liquid cooled on the right side of the system. The Nintendo Switch dock is located in the front of the case for big screen gameplay, but you’re free to remove the Switch at any time to take your gaming on the go! You can also play and stream the latest PC games with the best ray tracing performance thanks to the NVIDIA TITAN RTX GPU, found on the PC side of the system.
The Big O is a testament to our hard work and creativity when it comes to PC building. We’re proud to share it with you and your team to show the world.
Thank you and Enjoy!
Team ORIGIN PC.

This certainly is a beast of a system, but as stated for those wanting to get one you’ll be disappointed to learn that this isn’t actually for sale, so any dreams of owning an all in one gaming system is as of right now still just a dream.

Hideo Kojima Takes Shot at the Battle Royale Genre

At today’s San Diego Comic-Con, Legendary game designer Hideo Kojima had a panel where he talked about Death Stranding, and about creating games in general. During the talk, Kojima took a shot at the battle royale genre, which is possibly the most oversaturated genre in gaming right now.

We think it’s not really just Fortnite Kojima is taking a shot at, as the whole island trying to shoot each other thing is essentially present in all battle royale games, right? In addition to that, Kojima shared a long Q&A which was captured by Asia Pacific Arts writer Kalai.

Check her Twitter out for the entire transcript.

It’s been a rather busy day for Death Stranding info. Not only did we get to see what the box art and steelbook covers look like, but we even have new details on Heartman, who’s a new character confirmed for the game. Finally, Kojima shared that Keanu Reeves was recommended to him but he chose Mads instead.

At today’s San Diego Comic-Con Hideo Kojima panel, the famed game creator has revealed the Death Stranding box art, and even the steelbook cover! Both look super snazzy, though I think I prefer the steelbook cover one.

Check out the Death Stranding box art and steelbook cover below:

Finally, lucky panel attendees were given a poster of the box art! Check it out below.

Looks impressive, right? In other Death Stranding news, we now know that Kojima was originally offered Keanu Reeves though he turned that down and chose to go with Mads instead. Additionally, go read up on a new character named Heartman right here, but be warned: there are potential spoilers.

Death Stranding Heartman Details – Meet the Man With a Tragic Fate (Potential Spoilers)

Today, a new video for Death Stranding was debuted during the San Diego Comic-Con panel that Hideo Kojima hosted, and while the video is currently being kept behind the closed doors we do know that it was entirely focused on the character known as Heartman. Be warned, there are some heavy spoilers in this Death Stranding post concerning some crucial plot points for the character Heartman.

Still here? Good.

After the video had debuted, the Swedish film director who supplied motion captures for Heartman, Nicolas Winding Refn took to the stage to talk more about his character. According to multiple sources from verified attendees, the character Heartman dies every 21 minutes and is stuck in this loop where he is constantly being revived by an EKG that he is hooked up to. Why? Well the character wishes to locate his family, which are apparently on the “other side” and he has a full three minutes to do so before being brought back to life. It was stated that he could die any moment when those 21 minutes are up,  even during sentence when Sam is talking with him.

No other details were given on the character as afterward the actor went on to discuss how he and Kojima met along with some motion capture photos being shown. We don’t know if the video will be released officially to the public, though we garner that it won’t be long before it leaks online.

Death Stranding: Kojima Was Offered Keanu Reeves, but He Preferred Mads Mikkelsen

While Keanu Reeves (Matrix, John Wick) has been confirmed to play a major role in Cyberpunk 2077, it seems Reeves could have appeared in another high profile game. During the Hideo Kojima panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Legendary game director Hideo Kojima revealed that Keanu Reeves was originally recommended to him, but he turned it down and chose to go with Mads Mikkelsen instead.

Mind you, there’s no guarantee that Keanu would have said yes anyway, but imagine if he did? Honestly, I’m not upset about it as much given Mads does look good for the part, and he’s an amazing actor as well. For reference, Mikkelsen will play Cliff in the game, and is considered the main antagonist. Granted that this is Kojima, we do expect to see few twists and turns along the way.

Would you have preferred Keanu instead of Mads Mikkelsen or did Kojima choose the right actor for the role?

For more on Death Stranding, check out how multiplayer works in this detailed post.

Death Stranding will be out this November 8, 2019 exclusively on the PS4.
