If you’re taking part in the Fallout 76 beta, or just looking forward to the game, then you might want to think of downloading this Fallout 76 interactive digital map! It’s made by Reddit user djbza, and while it’s unofficial, it has a lot of features which should be helpful for those thinking of traversing Fallout 76’s digital wasteland.
It’s now available on the Android Play Store (download link), and here are the current features it has:
Current features:
High quality map with zoom/pan features.
Completely offline map and markers. Online required only for download/sync and optional sign-in.
Categorized and Filterable markers.
Up/down voting for markers along with an option to only view markers that are “verified” (I.e. more up than down votes).
Check off and hide locations you’ve completed.
Comment on locations.
Personal (private) notes for locations.
One-tap sign-in with Google.
The map maker also has a few ideas to add in the future, which include:
Push messaging notifications for new location markers and/or updates/comments to existing locations (could be spammy though).
Member lookup for creating teams/groups/clans. Not sure how useful it would be but I guess could be used to synchronize locations and content between people?
Local/offline wiki with location & items content. There are great wikis out there already so may just be wasted.
Don’t forget that this is NOT an official product by Bethesda, so don’t go blaming them if you have issues with it. And of course, given this isn’t official, don’t be surprised if Bethesda has this pulled.
In case you haven’t been keeping up with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 news, the community was up in arms last week due to the revelation that the Black Ops 4 server tick rates was running at only 20hz, and not at 60hz which was the tick rate during the beta.
Thankfully, Treyarch addressed the issue, and said that they will improve it, with the first phase of upgrades already rolled out. While Treyarch has been vague regarding what got changed and to what, so much so that the community is clamoring for some transparency and a roadmap, it seems Black Ops 4 PC players are already enjoying the benefits of improved Black Ops 4 server tick rates!
Over on Reddit, user soja92 conducted some tests and found out that the Black Ops 4 PC servers are now at 62hz currently, and what’s more, some of the PS4 servers are running that too! Note that this applies to multiplayer, and it’s not rolled out for everyone in the world just yet.
Some servers in Europe are already running at 60hz (like Belgium), though it might not be the same case for everyone. It seems this server upgrade roll out is live in North America, with Europe slowly getting the update, but no word on how or when Asia will get it.
Have you noticed any changes where you’re playing? If so, let us know how it’s better in the comments below.
As part of the annual Paris Games Week video game event, BioWare decided to not only bring in a new build of Anthem, but even livestreamed their play session of it! If you’re looking for some new Anthem gameplay, then you’ve come to the right place!
Linked below is over 20 minutes of new Anthem gameplay that’s never seen before, and we even get to hear BioWare devs talk about their builds, the character’s abilities and more.
Keep in mind that the game is in an alpha state, but even so, it’s looking mighty fine so far. We also get to see a lot of the gunplay and traversal, which both look fantastic as well.
Don’t forget that a new Anthem livestream is happening this Halloween, which we’ll be sure to post once it’s live.
In other Anthem news, there will be a melee build in the game confirmed. Make sure to check out each javelin’s abilities and skills right here.

Ubisoft is slowly starting to lift the lid on The Division 2 it seems, as we now have a new update from Ubisoft Massive about The Division 2 enemy types “True Sons.”
Check out a super detailed look and explanation for the True Sons’ motives and lore here. If you’re more interested to know about what kind of True Sons you’ll see in The Division 2, check the list to know more.
True Sons Archetypes
Like in The Division 1, each faction has multiple archetypes in their arsenal and depending on the type, they have a higher and lower kill priority. With the new combat-design, the enemy soldiers also are more layered and each of them not only have more abilities, but also tactical weak-points that make the combat more interesting. This is not the final lineup, these are just the archetypes that were shown in the E3 demo:
AssaultThey are the normal soldiers and are responsible to circle around the players and attack them from the side.
SniperThe Snipers are classic glass cannons that do a ton of damage from far away. This unit can also prone (lie down) and that makes them even harder to hit because she has such a low profile.
ThrowerAn old favorite from The Division 1. This guy throws grenades and tries to blow the player up. But keep in mind, you can also shoot these grenades down and the grenade-belt on his hip is also his weak point. Once the grenades are shot – he will not be able to use them anymore.
The Medic is the new Necromancer on the battlefield. He has the ability (besides healing NPCs) to resurrect fallen comrades from the dead. He uses the shock pads for that and these are also his weak points. When you shoot his backpack, it will disable that ability and shock the NPCs around him. Also don’t get too close to them, because they also shock the player. Keep this guy very high in the Kill-Order.
ImmobilizerThis guy is responsible for crowd control. His weapon has a secondary firing mode, that shoots Riot Foam that immobilizes the player and makes him vulnerable to enemy attacks. Once a player is hit by the Riot Foam, the Immobilizer switches to autofire to burn him down. Other players can destroy the foam and release the captured player. When you destroy his riot foam tank, it will encapsulate the entire NPC.
TankThis is the classic tank – he has a ton of armor and is very hard to take down. But there are also multiple ways to kill him. The Signature Weapons are – for example – deadly against him because it pretty much tears away his armor. You can also chip away his armor and then shoot the vulnerable points below or you can focus on the grenade pack on his back. When you destroy his grenade pack, it will explode, expose his chest and then you can tear him down easy. Besides that, when you destroy his grenade pouch, he also throws away his grenade launcher and switches to his shotgun. From this point on, he is no longer a long-range threat and then he can be killed from afar.
You can read up on the entire True Sons backstory, motives and more right here.
The Division 2 is set for release this March 15, 2019 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
In case you didn’t know, the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. (Break-It Early Test Application as Bethesda puts it) , is now live on the Xbox One, with the PS4 and PC set to follow a week later.. While the Fallout 76 beta size is only at 30-45GB on Xbox One, and PC, it’s at a whopping 96GB on the PS4!
This was confirmed by Fallout 76 beta participants over on Reddit where users are baffled why this is happening. To date, Bethesda has not commented on the beta client size differences.
If you’re playing the Fallout 76 beta on PS4, reach out to us (via tips@mp1st.com) if you notice the beta size to be an error, or if there’s a reason for the size doubling.
We’ve reached out to Bethesda to see if this is an error and will update the story if we get a response.
Haven’t pre-ordered and not part of the Fallout 76 beta? Don’t fret, go watch hours of gameplay footage right here. For more info about the game, Bethesda has revealed how microtransactions will work in the final game.
Check out the official Fallout 76 beta Q&A right here to know whether you’ll need PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold to participate, if progress will carryover and more.
Given how popular our weekly PS4 deals are, it’s time we rolled out the same for the Xbox One! Note that these are the best online deals available in North America presently, and there is a chance that the game/console sale will already be over by if you aren’t fast enough to get ’em.
In case you didn’t know, Treyarch encountered quite a bit of a snag with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and its player base, as it has been revealed that the servers gamers are playing on right now have been downgraded compared to the servers available during the beta. While Treyarch addressed the issue and said that it will be improved, it’s not enough for some people.
Over on Reddit, the Black Ops 4 community are now asking for Treyarch to be transparent and to lay down a Black Ops 4 server roadmap given that the studio has withheld some info regarding the network configuration update it has done.
In case you can’t see the Reddit post, here are some of the things Treyarch is requested to share:
what was the nature of the change? (i.e. tick-/simulation rate increased from 20Hz to 30Hz)
what is the change trying to achieve?
which platforms are affected by that change?
which regions are affected by that change?
While Treyarch has not responded to the call out, let’s hope the studio gives in even for a tiny bit since some users have reported worse experiences after this network “upgrade.”
Have you noticed any changes in Black Ops 4’s servers? Do you think Treyarch will cave in and share a roadmap and actual changes to the community?
As part of DICE’s on-going communications with the player base, the studio does a weekly “debrief” of info that got revealed, and what’s set to come the following week.
Battlefield Global Community Manager Dan Mitre posted this week’s debrief, and it includes another Q&A, as well as the focus for next week, which will be more Tides of War info, and a look at the game’s maps.
First up, here are some of the need-to-know info that got announced this week.
Video – Battlefield V Dev Talks #5: Tides of War – We sit down with DICE Developers as we discuss the Battlefield V live service.
Blog – The Progression System and Economy of Battlefield V – Learn about ranks, rewards, and the currencies of Battlefield V.
Focus – PC Week – More details on PC support including how to play, early access, and PC minimum and recommended specs.
Focus – The Maps of Battlefield V – We showcase the maps available at launch.
Blog Feedback – Battlefield V: Launch is Just the Beginning
Chapters
Will we see more chapters after the first three?
Ryan McArthur (Producer): The plan is to keep adding chapters throughout the multi-year live service we’ve committed to.
Weapons
Can you detail how many weapons we’ll get with each new chapter?
RM: It will depend on the chapter focus. We want to add new hardware to support the theme. We can’t commit to specific numbers yet. We will confirm numbers as we get closer the start of each season.
Vehicles
Can you detail how many new vehicles we’ll get with each new chapter?
RM: Same as above. We can’t commit to specific numbers yet. We will confirm numbers as we get closer to the start of each season.
Factions
Can you detail how many new Factions are introduced through the first 3 chapters?
RM: Battlefield V only has two factions (Axis/Allies) through the first chapters. We will add new cosmetics and hardware from various armies in each faction and will provide more detail as we get close to the launch of that content.
Maps
Will every new location drop one or two new maps? Such as, does Belgium get 2 new maps with its Grand Operations? Does Greece get two new maps with its Grand Operations?
RM: Players will get one map currently for the ones we have planned (Belgium and Greece). We’ll provide more details about Grand Operations attached as we get closer to launching the content.
How many maps are being introduced throughout the first 3 chapters?
RM: You will get two: Panzerstorm in Chapter 1 and Greece in Chapter 3.
Modes
Can we get any more details on what to expect with Squad Conquest?
David Sirland (Producer): If you’ve played 16 player conquest in Battlefield 2, or liked playing 8v8 in BF4, this is the mode for you. A smaller, slower paced, more tactical 2x squad vs 2x squad mode including one specific vehicle per side and layout.
Will Grand Operations be available at launch?
DS: Yes, all our locations will have their respective Grand Operations available at launch (4 total).
Can you explain how the new Grand Operations for the second chapter will work if we only received one additional map at this point?
DS: With the flexible system in place for Grand Operations, we will be able to do cool stuff here. We’ll get into more details on exactly what this means, and what it changes in terms of gameplay as we get closer to it.
Netcode
What tickrate are servers launching with?
DS: PC: 60hz, Console 30hz.
Blog Feedback – Pre-Order Battlefield V and Outfit Your Company
Origin Access Premier
I already have Origin Access Premier. Does that count as a pre-order? Do I get the Enlister Offer extras or do I have pre-order Battlefield V specifically to get those?
RM: Yes!
Sets
When will we get a sneak peek at the Paratrooper sets?
Dan Mitre (Global Community Manager): Working on it! We’ll get you a screenshot of what to expect soon.
If I have Origin Access Premier for 1 month, what happens to the skins I had access to? Do I get to keep the skins or am I “renting” them out?
RM: Once you have the items in your inventory they are yours.
Airlift Items
I still don’t understand how that 20 weekly items will work. Does that mean we’ll have access to 20 new items every week? Or just 1 item for 20 weeks?
RM: You will get one item each week, for 20 weeks.
Same as before, check back here on MP1st for the latest Battlefield V news.
It seems what we see below is not an actual hack but an exploit of the Skulker perk being stacked. Word of caution though, Treyarch has mentioned that penalties will be levied for those who use it. Here’s what Treyarch had to say about it (via Reddit):
Lastly, before we dig into today’s full notes: we are currently tracking players implementing an exploit that allows multiple copies of the same Perk to be equipped in Multiplayer. We are clearing those players’ Create-a-Class entries as a warning and will be banning repeat offenders after this point. This exploit will be resolved in an upcoming update.
Console Black Ops 4 gamers, no hacks yet, but don’t use any exploits since Treyarch is watching, alright?
Original Story:
One of the things console gamers have over against PC players is that it’s supposed to be much, much harder to cheat in multiplayer games given the closed platform consoles have. I’m not talking about cheating by using a keyboard and mouse, but actual cheating. Well, it seems Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 hacks have found their way into the PS4, and there’s proof of it too.
Thanks to Reddit user , we get to see a video of someone playing with what looks to be super speed, and their character is even crouched while doing it!
Hopefully, Treyarch sees this and nips it in the bud fast. If you find any other cheaters on Black Ops 4 on Xbox One and PS4, don’t forget to let us know via tips@mp1st.com!
In other Black Ops 4 news, a major update is hitting next week which will bring the first balance pass for weapons. Speaking of weapons, we posted our current top five best guns in the game, which might be old news once the weapon re-balancing patch kicks in.
Just yesterday, we posted that Battlefield 1 is less than $5 on the US PlayStation Store. If you manage to snag that, or you’re thinking twice about it, then maybe this will sweeten the deal: the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass is free on PS4 right now!
Yep, that means you can get all four expansions, with the new maps, new guns, new Assignments and whatnot, all for free! Of course, you need the base game in order to capitalize on the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass free PS4 deal.
If you have Battlefield 1 already, you can download the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass for free on PSN right here.
If you’re planning to pick up Battlefield V this November, you can buy Battlefield 1 and work on your progression for Battlefield V! Here’s DICE’s official description on the Road to Battlefield V:

Over the course of the summer, we’re giving away expansions from both Battlefield 1and Battlefield 4 to base game owners for free*. Battlefield 1 players can also earn gear for later use in Battlefield V, such as an exclusive paratrooper gear and weapon skins.
Weekly Rewards*:
You should also mark your calendars for weekly in-game rewards in Battlefield 1. When logging into Battlefield 1, a new menu lists daily tasks that will go toward earning various rewards, like weapon and equipment skins, Dog Tags, and Squad XP Boosts. The available rewards unlock weekly and can be earned during that window. Don’t worry if you missed some, you can still earn those too!
Frequent in-game missions based on the expansions and zodiac star signs.
Just like last week, we’re here to bring you a new set of the best PS4 deals of the week! While the PlayStation Store didn’t have a sale this past Tuesday, nor a flash sale today, don’t fret! We’re here to help you so you can nab some great games at a cheap price!

In other Red Dead Redemption 2 news, make sure to check out the reviews the game has gotten so far in our review round up. Don’t forget to download the companion app for iOS and Android devices well.
We’ll get our review of Red Dead Redemption 2 up once we finish the game.
Since launch, Treyarch has been rather generous when it comes to updating Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 via server-side hotfixes. While most of the time it goes over without a hitch, there’s bound to be an instance where it might show Black Ops 4 game settings stuck screen.
Fortunately for you, we’ve encountered it and there’s a way to remedy it, and it’s super easy! This Black Ops 4 game settings stuck fix doesn’t involve any technical know-how whatsoever, too. If you see the “downloading” screen refresh itself after a few percent has been downloaded, and seems to be in a loop, just turn off your console, change your connection Wi-FI (or wired if it’s in Wi-FI), run the “set up internet connection” feature in your console’s system setttings, connect again, and that’s it! It should let you connect normally again. Note that this works the other way around too. If your console is connected to the net via Wi-Fi, use a LAN cable, run the necessary steps in order for your console to recognize the connect, boot up the game and it should work normally again.
Hopefully, this will resolve one of the technical issues you might encounter when connecting Black Ops 4 online.
Got another method to fix it? Share it in the comments and we can even add it in the article and credit you for it.
If you’ve already decided that you’re getting Battlefield V, you might be wondering what you can get for pre-ordering the game. Thanks to EA, we now have a “guide” for all the extras that come with the different editions of Battlefield V.

Five Paratrooper Soldier Sets are included as part of the Battlefield V Deluxe Edition
Announced in September, the Firestorm Ranger Set is an additional pre-order bonus to drop into the battlefield with a tactical look inspired by the Firestorm — battle royale reimagined for Battlefield— and usable across multiple modes.
Or you can subscribe to Origin Access Premier for PC and get all this now, plus immediate access to EA’s growing library of games.
Confused? Hope not. Just get the version that you want and that’s it. Unless cosmetics are that important for you, then, in which case, go ahead and choose which version you want.
It seems there’s a good reason for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 downtime earlier today, as Treyarch has rolled out a new Black Ops 4 game settings update (server-side hotfix) and it’s live now on all platforms!
The list of changes today are minimal, but don’t fret, as the Black Market will be live tomorrow across all platforms with Operation: First Strike!
We’ve made the following updates to the game today (Global):
General
Miscellaneous
Added some missing translations for Black Market and Playlist tiles.
Zombies
Playlists
Created two new Public playlists: Classified and Blood of the Dead.
Removed Aether Playlist.
We’ve also made the following updates specific to PC:
Blackout
Resolved an exploit that allowed players to activate the Wingsuit frequently using a key from the numerical keypad.
Resolved an issue that allowed bullets to pass through certain rocks.
Multiplayer
Resolved an issue that caused a crash when changing weapon Decals in Paintshop.
On Saturday, the free Halloween Event content stream will be live across all platforms bringing with it spooky seasonal cosmetics!
It seems there’s an issue with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, as the servers seem to be not working. Yes, multiplayer fans, Black Ops 4 down for undisclosed reasons. While I can confirm it’s happening currently on the PS4, it might be happening the same on PC and Xbox One.
Oddly enough, the Activision Support site mentions that all three versions of Black Ops 4 is working properly. The official Treyarch Twitter makes no mention of it as well. But a quick hop on the Black Ops 4 subreddit will show that it is indeed happening to a lot of people. You’ll see all the menus grayed out like in the image above.
Is this tied in to another network configuration update? Given that Treyarch has publicly mentioned that it will make changes when it was revealed that the Black Ops 4 servers were running at just 20hz tick rates, compared to the Black Ops 4 beta’s 60hz tick rate.
