Back 4 Blood Update 1.05 Crawls Out for Ghost Bullets Fix This Jan. 13

Turtle Rock Studios has released the Back 4 Blood update 1.05 (PS5 version 1.000.005) patch this January 13, and this is for a fix regarding “ghost bullets.” Read up on the official patch notes and dev explanation below.

Developer Note – The issue with “ghost” bullets in high latency situations has been a much-talked about topic recently, and we wanted to roll out a hotfix to address it quickly. We are still working on a fix for performance hitches and are hoping to have it resolved as soon as possible. As a temporary workaround for people who are experiencing performance issues on PC, please run the game in DX11 until a fix is rolled out.

    • Fixed “ghost” bullets experienced in high latency situations
      • Developer Note – This issue can be experienced in non-ideal networking conditions. Moving forward, we have increased how much testing we do in worse than average network conditions to ensure bugs like this are caught before making it to players.

Battlefield 2042 Cheat Provider Pulling Support Due to Game Peformance Issues, Dwindling Player Count

Tired of cheats in shooters? It looks like that won’t be a problem in Battlefield 2042, as a cheat provider has mentioned that they are pulling support for the game! The Battlefield 2042 cheat provider is blaming the game’s performance issues, and its dwindling player count as the reasons for the support stoppage.

This latest development regarding BF2042 cheats comes from a Discord post which was sent to Tom Henderson, where it mentions that all existing lifetime subscriptions for BF2042’s cheats can change it to any Call of Duty title, and announces that the game’s on-going performance issues are affecting the cheats.

This is one of those times that a game’s performance problems can actually help it out, but I doubt DICE will see it that way. That said, the fact that even a cheat provider calls the game “dying” is kind of sad.

We here at MP1st will never condone cheating, and as such, you’ll never see us endorse or name a cheat provider. Don’t cheat, people! Don’t ruin the game for everyone to stroke your ego.

Hopefully, DICE can fix the game soon and players can enjoy it without the threat of going up against cheaters.

PlanetSide 2 Update 2.41 Rolled Out This January 13

Daybreak Games has pushed out the first title update for PlanetSide 2 this January 13 for both PC and PlayStation platforms. The PlanetSide 2 update 2.41 patch includes a short list of fixes, and has been released during the game’s server maintenance. Read on for the official patch notes.

Neverwinter Update 9.73 Patch Notes; Fixes Listed for Jan. 13

Cryptic has released the first title update for Neverwinter today! The Neverwinter update 9.73 patch is live this January 13, and this includes a long list of fixes, improvements and more. Check out the Neverwinter Jan. 13 patch notes below.

Highlights

  • Due to an issue where Artifact Modifications were reset, players who logged in to Neverwinter before December 16, 2021 can claim 220 Augment Cubes, once per account, from the Reward Claims Agent. This will be available until March 7th, 2022.

Known Issues – Resolved

Character Art Visuals

  • Serene Boots of the Dragon Hunter, on female characters, no longer partially override the Trousers visuals.
  • The new seal armor is now visible on characters of all races and genders.

Items

  • The Lich companion from the Skeletal Lockbox can now properly be added to the player’s companions list when the player has an Invisible Stalker companion.
  • The Repurposed Phylactery artifact can now properly be equipped while the Jewel of the North artifact is equipped.

Refinement and Enchantments

  • Butterfly Bilethorn Enchantment no longer continuously plays audio instead of just playing audio when initially equipped.
    • Note: Testing on this fix is inconclusive, so please let us know if this continues for you.
  • Enchantments can now properly be equipped when dragging them on top of existing enchantments.
  • Stacks of enchantments can no longer incorrectly be equipped on the same slot. (This would not provide additional stats, but would effectively hide the stacked enchantments.)
    • Any enchantment stacks currently equipped this way will be added back to the inventory once this update is released.

  • Ancient Scalebreaker’s Barbute is incorrectly invisible on male dragonborn characters.

  • The new enchantments currently cannot be donated to the Gems category of the Stronghold Coffer. While this is correct for reclaimable versions of these enchantments, we plan to allow donation of enchantments earned through gameplay or purchase.

  • The Lich companion’s player bonus, Undying Overlord, now properly reduces incoming damage.

  • Old dungeon keys can now be exchanged in bulk for Skeleton Keys.

  • Item comparison tooltips no longer incorrectly appear while viewing enchantment tooltips.

  • Random Queues no longer occasionally show an incorrect seal icon.

Refinement -> Item Upgrade

  • The Mote slot now has a tooltip when empty, which includes current ways to acquire Motes.
    • Known issue: This tooltip has not yet been localized.
  • Various minor cosmetic improvements have been added to the item upgrading UI.

Vendors

  • Attempting to sell an equippable item that your character can’t equip, by double-clicking from the inventory while at a merchant, now properly sells the item.

Hitman 3 Year Two Will Feature New Game Modes, Map, and Technology Improvements

Agent 47 is getting some new toys to play in the box, as IO Interactive has revealed the Hitman 3 Year Two content roll out! Agents can expect new game modes, a map, and technology improvements to freshen up the experience starting this January 20!

Among the new modes coming to the game will be Elusive Target Arcade and Hitman Freelancer

Elusive Target Arcade
Release: January 20

Elusive Target Arcade is a brand new game mode that takes the Elusive Target concept to the next level, mixes up the formula and introduces new challenge

If you fail an Arcade Contract at any point, there will be a 12-hour lockout before you can retry the contract again from the start. This lockout enables us to keep the high-stakes gameplay that is a hallmark of Elusive Targets, whilst also giving players a clear indication of when they are able to play a particular Elusive Target again.

Crucially, Arcade Contracts are permanent additions to HITMAN 3. Once we add one to the game, they won’t go away.

s and unlockable rewards – all whilst keeping the essence of what makes Elusive Targets exciting and interesting to play.

There are several significant chances to the mode here: Each Arcade Contract now tasks you with taking down consecutive Elusive Targets, one contract after the other. Each one must be completed to proceed to the next – and there are additional complications added to the contract as well.

When HITMAN 3 – Year 2 begins on January 20, the Arcade will also be open with a total of 3 Arcade Contracts, each one with Elusive Targets from a specific game in the World of Assassination trilogy. As you can see in the screenshot, the Ellipses Arcade Contract has three targets from HITMAN 3. Two other Arcade Contracts will also be available on January 20 with targets from HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 respectively.

HITMAN Freelancer
Release: Spring 2022

Freelancer is a brand new, single-player mode coming to HITMAN 3 that introduces roguelike elements, strategic planning and a customisable safehouse.

Let’s start by exploring one of the new maps coming to HITMAN 3 in Year 2: Agent 47’s Safehouse. This playable space is an entirely different type of location and we’ve never built anything like it before. It’s customisable and allows you to choose exactly what type of Hitman you are (or want Agent 47 to be!). As you progress through Freelancer, more areas of the Safehouse can be unlocked and new customisation options will become available.

Additionally a new map codenamed Rocky will be available later on, and new technology improvements such as Ray Tracing for the PC version will be out this year. Here’s what you can expect as detailed by the developers themselves.

One of the most notable enhancements to the game will be the option to enable Ray Tracing on PC later this year. With better reflections and better shadows, our locations are going to look better than ever. HITMAN 3’s opening level in a Dubai skyscraper is a fantastic showcase of how Ray Tracing improves the visual fidelity because of the volume of reflective surfaces in a small area. Equally so, the rainy Chongqing location later in the game looks especially impressive. When it is made available in HITMAN 3 on PC later this year, Ray tracing will be enabled for all locations in the World of Assassination trilogy.

Technology Improvements
Release: Later in 2022

HITMAN 3 – Year 2 is a fantastic opportunity for us to unleash some of the technical improvements that we’re continuing to make to our Glacier technology.

One of the most notable enhancements to the game will be the option to enable Ray Tracing on PC later this year. With better reflections and better shadows, our locations are going to look better than ever. HITMAN 3’s opening level in a Dubai skyscraper is a fantastic showcase of how Ray Tracing improves the visual fidelity because of the volume of reflective surfaces in a small area. Equally so, the rainy Chongqing location later in the game looks especially impressive. When it is made available in HITMAN 3 on PC later this year, Ray tracing will be enabled for all locations in the World of Assassination trilogy.

In addition to Ray Tracing, our ongoing partnership with Intel means that we will also be one of the first development studios in the world to implement Intel’s XeSS technology, which uses machine learning to deliver more performance with exceptional image quality.

Finally, we’ll be implementing VRS (Variable Rate Shading) to boost PC performance by shading at different frequencies in different part of the image, putting more power where it has the most impact.

Fortnite Update Rolled Out; Here’s What Got Changed in January 13 Hotfix

Epic Games has released a new Fortnite update today, and this is a server-side patch, which means there is no download required by the players. The Fortnite January 13 hotfix includes weapon-specific changes, which are listed below.

We’ve made several balance changes to the following items.

Decreased Stinger SMG damage
Slightly decreased MK-Seven Assault Rifle damage

Battlefield 2042 Featured Experiences This Week Jan. 13 Sees Rush Return & More

Battlefield 2042 players annoyed that DICE pulled Rush from the main core mode will be glad to know that it’s returning today alongside new game mode types in Battlefield Portal! The Battlefield 2042 Featured Experiences this week Jan. 13 edition has been revealed, and it should be a welcome change to players.

Rust Update 1.22 Out for Crash Fixes & More This January 13

Double Eleven has released the first update for Rust this 2022! The Rust update 1.22 patch is out this January 13, and this is for bug fixes and other improvements. Read on for the full patch notes below.

Hello survivors! The first patch of the year is here, and this one brings some crash fixes along with some very important fixes for bugs that were being used to exploit the game. No longer should you see players flying around, or the moon spinning uncontrollably.

Have a look at the full list of changes for patch 1.22:


Fixes:

  • Fixed the head hit box for the player module.

  • Fixed the flashlight on the Thompson appearing on the wrong side of the weapon.

  • Fixed a bug causing the moon to roam around uncontrollably.

  • Fixed the unusual white triangles in the corners of the large wood boxes, when a light source was shining on them.

  • Fixed a bug causing the Semi-automatic pistol’s recoil to go beyond the maximum value.

  • Fixed an exploit allowing players to fly around the map.

  • Fixed a bug allowing players to clip through the crane lift at the launch site.

  • Fixed a bug causing the rowboats to flip and the players to be dismounted if they were hit by a thrown melee weapon while riding it.

  • Fixed an issue allowing items to be placed within the Launch Site.

  • Fixed a bug with the Locker UI, skin graphics.

It’s that time of week again Battlefield players. Yup, a new set of weekly challenges are now live, as well as the weekly reward! Here’s all the requirements to unlock the Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #6 (Jan 13 – Jan 20) reward.

How to Unlock the Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #6 (Jan 13 – Jan 20) (Preseason) Reward: MacKay’s Great Outdoor Outfit

  • Be revived by squadmates 30 times, or revive 30 squadmates – Reward 5000 XP
  • 2000 teammates health replenished – Reward 5000 XP
  • 50 enemies killed or kills assisted – Reward 5000 XP

The 2000 health replenish and 50 enemies killed, or assisted kills should be easy enough. For the heals, just equip the med kit and place them down in some hot zones (high combat areas). The healing will work itself out. The kills will come naturally. Both, you should be able to do in a solo run. As for the revives, this one will be a little harder as it requires squad members. Find a friend and you can farm this in co-op play, or just do this in public servers. The latter is a bit more time consuming since most people aren’t purposely dying.

Once you’ve finished all three challenges and collected the 15,000 XP bonus you will unlock the new Great Outdoor Outfit for MacKay.

– We are planning to make constant updates when a new class is released so that you can now check the damage rate via the Adventurer’s Guide.

 

● Changed to apply an upper limit or a lower limit for the increase and decrease in Movement Speed, Attack Speed, and Casting Speed that can be applied all at once to your character (With the assumption that your character’s default speed is at 100%.)

– Changed to get up to a total of an extra 150% for Movement Speed, Attack Speed, and Casting Speed that increase with buffs, enhancement levels, and skill add-ons.

* Therefore, the maximum stats for your character’s Movement Speed, Attack Speed, and Casting Speed are 250%.

For example, when the “Movement Speed -80%” effect is applied when your character’s Movement Speed is at 160%, only “Movement Speed -50%” will be applied and your character’s Movement Speed will be at 110%. (The extra 30% that exceeds the 50% will not be applied.)

 

Another example would be when your character’s Movement Speed is at 100% and “Movement Speed -80%” is applied, only 50% will be applied, which means your character’s Movement Speed will be at 50%. (The extra 30% that exceeds the 50% will not be applied.)

 

Previously, even if your character’s Movement Speed was at 250%, it could drop to 50%, the lowest stats that would be applied for speed, when the Movement Speed decrease effect was applied. However, with the added upper limit and lower limit applications, it was changed so that the increase and decrease effects (especially decrease) wouldn’t be applied after a certain point.

We improved Constriction, which is only available in Awakening, increased the power of the slower skills like Ensnaring Sands and Serpent’s Coil to keep his Awakening’s uniqueness but maintain the characteristics of Hashashin.

Sage Succession received a nerf on his PvE efficiency. We did increase the PvE efficiency of other classes through the reboot, however, Sage Succession still showed a much higher efficiency compared to the other classes. Therefore, we were forced to lower his PvE efficiency to match it to the rest of the classes. We hope you understand our decision. We will continue to monitor the data after the nerf and supplement certain details that may be required.

Awakening

● Seize – Increased the cooldown from 13 sec to 20 sec.
● Enlightening Bolt III – Fixed the issue where casting the skill in a normal state would cause the Arkanon to apply the damage of Lv. II.
● Removed the Critical Hit Rate of summons from the following skills in PvE as the Critical Hit Rate of the summoner will now apply to summons:

– Enlightening Bolt, Flow: Aftershock, Radiant Annihilation

● Flow: Aftershock – Changed the damage reduction of Arkanon in PvP from -40% to -62%.
● Radiant Annihilation – Changed the damage reduction of Arkanon in PvP from -30% to -58%.

Corsair

● Fixed an issue where the skill description for the ‘Pirate’s Life For Me’ did not show the full skill effects.

Succession Corsair could remain protected with Invincibility effects by continually comboing her mermaid transforming mareca skills and deal tons of damage at the same time. Thanks to this combination of protection and damage, which gave her a rather huge advantage over other classes, we decided to adjust her accordingly. While she retains her powerful damage, her Invincibility window has been shortened so that Corsair will need to be more strategic with her skills.

● Sword Song – Changed the effects gained in all levels of the skill.

– The other passive skill (Cap’n on Deck) and the effects that can be obtained by leveling the skill were combined to Sword Song.

● Heart-catcher Patraca – Changed the cooldown from 15 sec to 17 sec.
● Removed the Critical Hit Rate applied in PvE to the summon of the following skill, due to the summoner’s Critical Hit Rate stats being applied to the summon.

– The Slippery Scallywags effect applied when casting an Awakening skill.

● Changed the Damage Reduction Rate in PvP from -40% to -60% for all the Slippery Scallywags that appear when casting an Awakening skill.

Item Changes

● Changed so that you cannot use the Item Copy and Single Copy functions with a character that has Karma below 0.

● Bring the Secret Scroll of Equilibrium to Alustin in Velia to exchange it for an [Event] Chest of Equilibrium.

– You can obtain the Secret Scroll of Equilibrium via Challenges (Y) when logging in from Dec 11, 2021 (Sat) at 00:00 to Feb 9, 2022 (Wed) before maintenance.

UI Changes

● Fixed an issue where the titles of the Season Pass objectives could exceed the UI.

● Fixed the issue where the Navigate function would activate even when selecting a completed objective.

● Fixed an issue where the ordering of the Chat Groups was incorrect.

● Fixed an issue where the character portaits in the Party window UI looked abnormal.

● Changed so that you can always press the Copy button when using the Item Copy UI.

– However, when you are not able to use the Item Copy function, you will get a notification on when you can use it.

* To use the Item Copy function, you must complete [Marni’s Suspicious Device] consecutive quests from the Black Spirit’s (,) Suggested quests with a Lv. 56 or higher character and the character you want to copy items from and the character you want to copy items to should be linked via the Tag Character function.

● Fixed an issue where icons could appear incorrectly when removing the slot from the Edit Ring Menu UI

● In the Pet Exchange UI, the skills that can be learned through the exchange will now display the odds of obtaining said skills.

Other Changes

● Fixed various issues with the area surrounding Trent village.

● Fixed an issue where character’s feet would sink under the floor when in the corridor of the 2nd floor of Epheria 2-5 residence.

● The horse icons shown in the stables have been improved.

● Fixed an issue where the minimap would display incorrectly in certain locations of the Blood Wolf Settlement area.

● Fixed an issue where the Ranger’s ‘Sweet Dreams’ underwear would display differently compared to other classes

● Fixed the exposure of abnormal graphics which displayed with the Sweet Dreams outfit.

COD Warzone Pacific Update 1.51 Released, Here Are the Patch Notes

Raven Software has released the Call of Duty Warzone Pacific update 1.51 title update this January 13, and it includes a host of gameplay improvements, bug fixes, a new event and more! It also adjusts the game’s overall file size a bit, with the new sizes listed below alongside the official patch notes.

Raven has also shared the playlist changes planned for the rest of January, though don’t be surprised if the studio launches a new one in between.

Modern Warfare & Warzone Update 1.51 Patch Notes; Out for Mid-Season Patch

Raven Software has released the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone update 1.51 patch this January 12 (or January 13 depending on where you are in the world), and this is the mid-season update for the battle royale game. Outside of gameplay adjustments, the mid-season Warzone patch will also change the game’s overall disk size, which we’ve listed below in the official patch notes.

One of Nintendo’s most beloved characters has a new adventure this year, as Kirby and the Forgotten Land comes to Nintendo Switch on March 25!

Here’s a new trailer released by Nintendo and showing off more co-op and copy abilities gameplay with the pink mascot in action!

Well known to fans for having the power to absorb the abilities of his enemies and opponents, Kirby’s latest game in the first big adventure he’s had in quite a while — and it comes on the same year the character will be celebrating his 30th anniversary! Here’s the synopsis of the Forgotten Land from Nintendo themselves.

Join Kirby in an unforgettable journey on a delightful 3D platforming adventure! Explore in 3D stages as you discover a mysterious world. Inhale enemies to gain copy abilities like the new Drill and Ranger. Use these skills to save the kidnapped Waddle Dees from the Beast Pack. You can also bring along a second player to control Bandana Waddle Dee and take on the forgotten world together!

God of War PC Download Size Revealed

Ahead of its launch this January 14, the God of War PC download size has been revealed! Check out the file size below to ready your storage when Kratos finally arrives on PC.

The information comes from PlayStation Game Size, who is always known for revealing file sizes for the PlayStation platform. However, as this is a significant former PlayStation exclusive releasing on PC, they have also shared the game size for God of War on PC.
