96b0708e90ef7b63f8ab593115b09bd4.jpg

Head to the respective Syndicate Offerings to add these new Warframe Augments to your Arsenal (and become a flying meatball).

Titania – Spellbind Augment – Spellbound Harvest
Hitting at least 4 enemies with Spellbind will grant Titania 50 Energy.

Harrow – Condemn Augment – Tribunal
Other players will proc 50% of the effects of Penance and Thurible when attacking chained enemies.

Grendel – Pulverize Augment – Catapult
Middle mouse button to launch Grendel in your aim direction. Costs 10 Energy.

Hildryn – Shield Pillage Augment – Blazing Pillage
Enemies affected by Haven will be set ablaze for 200 Heat Damage and restore 50 additional Shields to Hildryn.

General Change:

  • Titania Primes Razorwing Energy wings will now be hidden when aiming to avoid blocking your sight.

Scarlet Spear Fix:

  • Fixed script errors if Kill Code is received while quitting Murex Raid mission to return to Flotilla.

Railjack Fix:

  • Another fix towards “Tactical Efficiency” (Tactical Rank 6) not modifying the Flux Energy cost of using some Battle Avionics.

You’ll notice that a majority of these fixes are related to ‘script errors’, which are no stranger to Hotfix notes, but the list below is a bit girthier than usual. We implemented some backend code to expose harmless yet lingering script errors for our team to squash!

Fixes:

  • Fixed temporarily losing the ability to aim, shoot, swap weapons, or type if the player attempts to Mercy in the middle of a knockback animation.
  • Fixed Motus Impact not extending the Melee range of Titania’s Diwata.
  • Fixed Terra Attack Drones in the Orb Vallis idling on the ground when not in combat instead of flying around like a good Drone should.
  • Fixed being stuck in the Transference Chair in the Orbiter Captura Scene if you Transferred to the Operator.
  • Fixed markers not pathing properly in the Infested Salvage mission.
  • Fixed a red frame appearing around the themed Stats box briefly in some places (ex: Market).
  • Fixed a script error slower PCs might encounter loading in the Kuva Fortress that would prevent the assembly hall tileset from being populated properly.
  • Fixed script errors that could occur when joining Kuva Fortress missions as a Client if the level contained an assembly hall tileset.
  • Fixed a script error when a Host migration occurred when using Magus Lockdown.
  • Fixed a script error when damaging Grineer Surveillance Drones.
  • Fixed a script error that could occur if a security camera spotted you just as you were knocked slightly out of the world.
  • Fixed a script error that could occur if you killed a Kuva Lich while it was using a Fire attack.
  • Fix ability script errors that could occur in the transition between phases in Mastery Rank 14 test (and possibly others).
  • Fixed a number of script errors that could occur if you died during an in-world transmission in Rathuum.
  • Fixed a harmless script error that would occur if you aborted a mission at the exact moment your Dethcube’s Vaporize Precept fired.
  • Fixed script error that could occur when joining Exterminate missions in progress.
  • Fixed script error that would occur if someone was dead in spectator mode when the first person reached extraction; this may have broken the trigger and required you to move away from extraction and back again to try again.
  • Fixed several script errors that could occur when transitioning to a new area while carrying the Shedu.
  • Fixed script error that could occur in the Power Drift Hall of Ascension room.
  • Fixed a script error if the Orokin laser trap had one of its caps destroyed before it started extending.
  • Fixed a couple script errors if you Rank up after Taxon activates its Molecular Conversion.
  • Fixed a script error if your Sentinel died while being nullified.
  • Fixed a script error if a Client’s Warframe died after applying the last Void Strike bonus damage.
  • Fixed a script error that would occur sometimes when applying DNA Stabilizers to your Pet Companion.
  • Fixed a script error that could occur in Infested Salvage if you died and were in spectator mode.
  • Fixed a script error that could occur if you Transferred to your Operator at the right moment in an Invasion mission at the cross-over point between the ships.
  • Fixed a script error if a Ghoul Expired jumps at a target who dies by the time they get there.
  • Fixed a script error that could break Ghoul Purge Bounties if a player died while bringing the Grokdul processor to the injector.
  • Fixed a script error that could occur when reaching the Cetus doors to enter the Plains of Eidolon.
  • Fixed a script error related to the Tusk Mortar Bombard attacking you in the Plains of Eidolon.
  • Fixed a script error related to Eidolon Lures.
  • Fixed script error that could occur if a Kuva Fortress mine was destroyed mid-way through it’s spawn animation.
  • Fixed a script error related to the Ropalolyst doing an ‘angry animation’.
  • Fixed a script error when looking at the Archwing category in the Market.
  • Fixed a script error related to Clan Pigment Research.
  • Fixed a script error related to Shade’s Ghost Precept.
  • Fixed a script error that could occur when using the Ludoplex.
  • Fixed a script error with Limbo’s Rift Torrent Augment that could occur if Rift Surge was cast after a Railjack warp.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Volt’s Discharge ability right when another player was joining-in-progress.
  • Fixed a script error when casting numerous Warframe abilities.

No word on when console gamers will see this patch, but once it’s out, we’ll be sure to let players know.

The Division 2 Title Update 9 Release Date and Patch Preview Revealed

In the latest The Division 2 State of the Game livestream, Ubisoft Massive revealed that The Divsion 2 Title Update 9 release date is set for April 21, which is next week. While the full notes won’t be with us until April 20, the studio did let on a few key changes included in it. In the meantime, for people over 18, new-casinos are listing casinos not on gamstop including reviews.

The Division 2 Title Update 9 release date and patch preview:

Release Date: April 21, 2020

Client Patch

  • This will be a client patch, that needs to be downloaded once it is ready on Tuesday.
  • A client patch is needed because there are changes to exotics and also Skill descriptions and that can only be changed with a client patch.

Change Overview

  • Balance pass on exotics (examples in the Patch Notes Preview) plus some more changes on top of that.
  • Angel of Mercy contaminated area is fixed.
  • Nemesis does not trigger Focused Talent is fixed
  • Focused Talent is triggered when using Crusader Shield is fixed (it should not) you can also zoom in now.
  • PS4 Thieves’ Den Trophy is also fixed with TU9. After the update, when you just enter the Dark Zone, you will unlock the Achievement.
  • Aces & Eights Gear Set Talent Poker Face is fixed.
  • Booster Hive Description will be correct – it increases Weapon Damage and Handling
  • Some changes to best-in-slot items and underperforming Talents will also be buffed.

Also mentioned in the devstream is how Exotic items should not be the best thing out, and it’s supposed to offer a different playstyle. In Title Update 9, Ubisot Massive plans to change how Exotics drop with the minimum roll of each ontent Tier.

Here’s an explanation of how rolls with and how Exotic items should be based depending on rolls:

The loot system is implemented in a way that there are tiers of content based on difficulty. “Normal” is Tier 1 and “Legendary” is Tier 5. The rolls of the dropped items scale in relation to the content Tier. So basically the Tiers define what the minimum rolls are and the distribution between the minimum roll and the max roll.

Exotics are implemented in the same way. If you play normal, an Exotic can roll very well, but it can also roll very badly because normal has a low minimum roll.

But since Exotics are very rare and they are also excluded from recalibration there is currently nothing you can do to them if you get a bad roll. That is why the Exotic Reconfiguration will be added to the game with TU9.

There’s an Exotic item reconfiguration planned for TU9. Here’s a quick FAQ of sorts via The Division 2 community:

Exotic Reconfiguration

The Exotic Item Reconfiguration is a repurposing of the Exotic Crafting functionality.

=> Image

When you open the Crafting Bench, you see all the Exotic Blueprints that you have, that you used before to upgrade your Exotics.

The Blueprints that you have will be automatically converted into Reconfiguration Blueprints and the ones that you don’t have can be bought from the Vendor when you already have the Exotic. The new Warlords Exotics will of course also get their Blueprints.

How does it work

=> before

=> after

The basic idea is, that you have the ability to reroll the entire Exotic and assigning rolls that are appropriate to the level you are turning it into (level 40 for example). They also guarantee that it will also have pretty high minimum rolls.

So it will still be a range of rolls but it will be at the upper end. But there is of course also the risk, that if you already have a very good roll, that the rolls will be lower after the Reconfiguration.

Basically, if you are not happy with the drop you got, you can reroll the Exotic Item and hopefully have a better version after the process.

Costs

=> Image

As shown on the right, you need crafting resources, Exotic Components that you get from deconstructing Exotics and also the Exotic Item itself.

They also adjusted how much exotic components that you get when you deconstruct one so that you can reconfigure another one.

You can do it with level 30 and level 40 Exotics

When you reconfigure a level 30 Exotic it will become a level 40 Exotic with new rolls and when you do it with a level 40 Exotic, it will just get new rolls.

Reconfigure multiple Times

You can Reconfigure an Exotic as many times as you want, there are no restrictions.

Works with Exotics Gear Items and Exotics Weapons

The Reconfiguration works with all Exotic items, also the crafted ones.

Old Values have no impact

If you have a god-rolled level 30 Exotic, it does not have an impact on what rolls it will get at level 40. You basically get a new item.

That is also the same when you have a max-rolled stat on an Exotic, it is not guaranteed, that this specific stat will also be maxed out after the Reconfiguration.

Pre-Order Exotics are excluded

The Exotics like the Lullaby are excluded from that system because they need an existing Exotic as a baseline to be crafted. You will also be able to get a level 40 Lullaby now

Same as always, once the patch notes are out, and once the actual patch is live, MP1st will be sure to let you know ASAP.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Double XP Set for Different Modes This Week

While Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare might be the latest games in the Call of Duty line up, there’s still a fair amount of players spending their time with Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Well, if you’re one of the many people still playing it, Black Ops 4 double XP is happening this week!

Black Ops 4 players can expect 2XP One in the Chamber this week, where players will start with the Annihilator and a single bullet and work their way to get more bullets by killing players. Here’s what’s coming down the line this week for Black Ops 4 in terms of playlist updates:

·      Multiplayer – 2XP One in the Chamber, Nuketown, Barebones Moshpit, Bolt-Action Barebones Moshpit, Mercenary Deathmatch Moshpit

·      Blackout – Hot and Heavy (Hot Pursuit and Heavy Metal Heroes), Alcatraz Portals Quads, Quads, Duos, Solos

·      Zombies – Blood of the Dead

Speaking of Treyach and Call of Duty, rumors have surfaced since last year that this year’s Call of Duty game will once again be made by Treyarch. Hopefully, it’ll be more like Black Ops 2 more than anything else.

Overwatch Update 2.86 Now Out, Introduces Echo

It’s here, Overwatch players! The newest hero to join the roster — Echo — is finally out for everyone. Blizzard has released a new Overwatch patch for it which includes gameplay changes. Check out the full Overwatch update 2.86 patch notes below.

Overwatch update 2.86 patch notes:

NEW HERO: ECHO (DAMAGE)

Echo is an evolutionary robot created by Dr. Mina Liao and programmed with a rapidly adapting artificial intelligence, versatile enough to fill multiple battlefield combat roles. Having joined up with the Overwatch team to defend Paris against the Null Sector incursion, Echo is seeing action as a full-fledged member of Overwatch for the first time. Echo fires three shots (Tri-Shot) at once, in a triangle pattern. Echo fires a volley of Sticky Bombs that detonates after a delay. Echo uses Flight to surge forward quickly, then can fly freely to avoid danger or maneuver to a more strategic location. Using Focusing Beam, Echo channels a beam for a few seconds, dealing very high damage to targets with less than half health, including barriers. With Duplicate, Echo targets an enemy hero and clones them, gaining all of their abilities and potentially changing a team fight in an instant.

GENERAL UPDATES

New Feature: Training Partner

Within the Practice Range, use the Training Partner Spawner to create a bot of any hero on which you can test your abilities.

General

  • The Overwatch team has opened servers in a new datacenter to improve the gaming experience for players in the Middle East. Servers will be available beginning April 14, 2020
  • Added a “Patch Notes” button on the main menu and within the options menu. Selecting this button will open a web browser with the latest available game updates

COMPETITIVE UPDATES

The new Competitive Open Queue will be available in the Arcade for roughly 4 weeks. This mode will use standard Competitive Play rules, including hero pools, but will have no role restrictions or role queues.

HERO UPDATES

Tracer

Blink

  • Improved the accuracy of Tracer’s blink movement such that Tracer will more likely end up where the crosshair is pointing

Developer Comments

  • Tracer cannot blink through a space where she otherwise cannot fit normally
  • Tracer cannot blink over an obstacle which she otherwise cannot jump over normally, with the jump originating from Tracer’s height at the start of the blink movement

We hope that these changes to Tracer’s blink will feel more responsive than before.

WELCOME TO THE YEAR 2103!

It’s been a year since the door to Vault 76 rolled open on Reclamation Day. A lot has changed in Appalachia since you and other Vault Dwellers began rebuilding. There are many new people to meet and things to discover as you continue your adventures.

Here is an overview of the major additions Wastelanders brings to you:

NPCS AND DIALOGUE

A whole host of new people have arrived in Appalachia, seeking their fortunes or just a safe place to live. These NPCs can be found all over the place. Some of them you can talk to and have interactive conversations.

  • The mechanics of dialogue are similar to Fallout 3 – you have a variety of choices, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. checks, and options available to you contextually.
  • A single player response can have any number of choices available, if there are more choices than fit the display you can scroll down to see them all.
  • Additionally, full conversations have been added to many of the original NPCs of Fallout 76—characters like Rose, MODUS, and the Grafton Mayor (and more) can be engaged in dialogue.

Click here to read our article to learn more about dialogue and conversations in Wastelanders.

A NEW MAIN QUEST

The arrival of new people in Appalachia means there are many new adventures to be had. Wastelanders brings an entirely new story to Fallout 76 that you can uncover and explore as you complete new main quests.

  • Just outside of Vault 76, you can dive into the Wastelanders story and meet Lacey and Isela, who will guide you to experience the Wayward quest line.
  • At level 20, the full main quest opens in Sutton. It will get you acquainted with the two largest factions in Appalachia – the Raiders and Settlers.
    • During the Main Quest you will have to pick which side you work with, but for quite some time you can do quests for both factions until you hit a point of no return.
  • The original Fallout 76 main quest is still available, but expect new touches of life. Both with new NPCs and full dialogue with existing NPCs.
  • Please Note: To accommodate new quests and story content, some new no-C.A.M.P. zones have been added to locations in the world.
    • If your C.A.M.P. was in one of these areas and can no longer be placed, you will be notified on joining a world, and you will be able to move your C.A.M.P. for free.
THE RAIDERS

The Raiders are in part survivors that fled Appalachia, who have now returned to reclaim land they believe is rightfully theirs. They’ve built a base of operations, called Crater, at the Crashed Space Station.

  • Initially, if you encounter Raiders in the wild they will be hostile and attack you. Even in Crater, expect a chilly reception—their vendors won’t deal with you, and they’ll bring the opposite of the welcome wagon.
  • Eventually, you will learn more about them and can broker a peace with them (and if you want, their friendship in time).
THE SETTLERS

The Settlers are a collection of survivors gathered by some construction workers from the Washington D.C. area. When they heard there was land, they caravanned to Appalachia and repurposed existing structures at Spruce Knob to construct Foundation.

  • The Settlers are happy to speak and trade with you right away. Like the Raiders, you can get to know the Settlers better over time and become an ally to them.
  • Ward will offer a Daily Quest that can help you make a good impression with these new-comers.

Read our article about Wastelanders Factions to learn more about the Settlers and the Raiders.

GOLD BULLION AND FACTION REPUTATION

Wastelanders features some new exciting weapons, armors, and other items. You can unlock these items via the new Gold Bullion system.

  • After completing the Main Quest, you will gain access to Gold Bullion, a new in-game currency.
    • Gold Bullion can be gathered by exchanging Treasury Notes at Gold Press Machines, up to a daily limit.
    • Treasury Notes can be earned from Wastelanders daily quests and by completing Public Events.
    • Gold Bullion can also be purchased directly from a vendor in the Wayward using Caps, up to a weekly limit.
  • There are three Gold Bullion Vendors: One at Crater, one at Foundation, and another in a location you’ll unlock during the main story. Each vendor will offer you a different set of new Wastelanders items in exchange for Gold Bullion.
FACTION REPUTATION
  • Some of the Wastelanders gear is only available as you become better friends with the Settlers and Raiders through the new Reputation System.
    • Gain reputation with these factions by completing story quests for them, making in-game decisions, and by doing their daily quests.
    • Items you can get this way include weapons like the Gauss Shotgun or Gauss Minigun, C.A.M.P. items like Farmable Tiles, and even the yummy Appalachia treat—Pepperoni Rolls, among others.
  • Read our article about the Wastelanders Reputation System to learn more.

ALLIES

Another exciting addition to Wastelanders, Allies are NPCs you will encounter in the world who can move into your C.A.M.P., help protect it, and keep you company.

  • Allies also provide adventuring opportunities through daily quests they offer.
  • Two of the Allies are unique. Both have a mini-quest line, romance opportunities, and offer the chance to really get to know some interesting characters.
    • Once you reach level 10, strike out to the Ash Heap or the Mire in order to meet them!
  • Learn more by reading our article about Allies in Wastelanders.

REPEATABLE EVENTS AND DAILY QUESTS

EVENT: RIDING SHOTGUN
  • Riding Shotgun is a new event at Big Bend Tunnel East. Take part by speaking with Vinny Costa near the entrance to the Tunnel. He offers the event every so often, so check in with him regularly if you want to help him out.
    • Merchants from the Blue Ridge Caravan want to pass through Big Bend Tunnel with their wares, but devious Blood Eagles are lying in wait, hoping to make an easy score.
    • Successfully defend the Caravan as the merchants make their way through the Tunnel, and you will be handsomely rewarded.
PUBLIC EVENT: RADIATION RUMBLE
  • Radiation Rumble is a challenging new Public Event that will appear on the map at Emmett Mountain Disposal Site.
    • A group of Scavengers have set their sights on mining the precious ore found deep within Emmett Mountain Disposal Site, but they’ve been backed into a corner by treacherous glowing creatures.
    • Balance your time between defending the Scavengers and venturing out to help them mine ore, and they’ll give you a stake in the profits—but remember wear your Hazmat Suit!

Catch additional details about the new Wastelanders Events in this article.

NEW DAILY QUESTS
  • There are four new daily quests available in Wastelanders: Two from the Raiders at Crater, one from the Settlers at Foundation, and one more that you’ll discover as you play through main story quests.
    • The Raider dailies alternate, with one of the two available to you each day.
    • All four dailies can be completed to earn Treasury Notes, XP, Caps, and some loot.
    • Daily quests from the Raiders and the Settlers will also award you with some reputation for your efforts.

NEW ENEMIES

FLOATERS
  • Floaters are returning creatures from previous Fallout games. They come in three variations: Flamer, Freezer, and Chomper.
  • They aren’t particularly tough, but when they swarm in with their Super Mutant brethren, they can really change a battle.
WENDIGO COLOSSUS
  • The elusive Wendigo Colossus is a terrifying monstrosity rumored to only rear its head in areas hit by atomic fire.
  • They are seriously tough, and even a hearty adventurer will find it challenging to square off with one alone. If you plan to hunt down a Wendigo Colossus bring friends—lots of them!
BLOOD EAGLES
  • Bloodthirsty and cruel, the Blood Eagles are a group of human miscreants fueled by chems, who treat the Wasteland like their personal playground.
  • Even more frightening are their numbers. Bands of Blood Eagles have sprung up throughout Appalachia, so keep your weapons close and be ready to defend yourself.
CULT OF THE MOTHMAN
  • No one is quite sure what these mysterious cultists are up to, but they’ve recently begun inhabiting a few existing locations in Appalachia.
  • Stay on your guard if you encounter these cultists in the wild. You can be sure that they won’t let you or anyone else get in the way of their. . . rituals.

EXPLORE NEW AND UPDATED LOCATIONS

  • We’ve created a number of new locations that you will discover, such as the Watoga Underground, The Deep, The Wayward, new Blood Eagle and Mothman Cultist camps, and more.
  • Additionally, with the return of people to Appalachia, many have already left their mark on the world. They’ve transformed many existing locations, like the Crashed Space Station, Spruce Knob, and WV Lumber Co., among others, to better suit their needs.

ART AND GRAPHICS

  • Day/Night Cycle: Daytime has been lengthened from 8 to 13 game hours, so that you have more sunshine while you quest, craft, and explore. Dusk, dawn, and nighttime have been shortened accordingly.
  • Lighting: We’ve made significant improvements to all aspects of our lighting and rendering systems to bring additional realism and contrast to the game world.

GENERAL UPDATES

  • Vault 94: As mentioned in a previous announcement, Vault 94 and its Missions have been shut down along with the release of Wastelanders.
    • Many of the item rewards that you could earn by completing Missions, including Strangler Heart Power Armor Plans, are now available through the Gold Bullion system.
  • Nuclear Winter: The Storm now automatically constricts based on the number of players who begin a Nuclear Winter Match. This should help players get to the fun of a match more quickly and spend less time in matchmaking queues.
    • This change was originally implemented in Update 16, but was reverted after community feedback that the automatic constriction was happening too often. We’ve since made improvements in this area and have brought this change back with the Wastelanders update.

QUALITY-OF-LIFE IMPROVEMENTS

QUEST U.I. UPDATES

Quests have received significant user interface improvements in today’s update. Here is a summary of the adjustments we’ve made:

  • All of your quest markers will now appear on the map.
    • Inactive quests show up as black map markers, and quests you’re actively tracking will display the yellow markers you’re already familiar with.
    • Main quests display square markers, while side, misc., and daily quests show diamond-shaped markers.
  • Clicking a quest marker on the map will display a pop-up showing more details and a description of that quest.
    • There are three new options on this pop-up that you can select to mark the quest as active, make it your only active quest, or show the quest in your Pip-Boy.
    • When viewing a quest in your Pip-Boy, you can now choose to show that quest’s location on the map.
  • New options are available that you can toggle to customize what types of quests are marked as active when you start them. Find these in the Game Settings Menu
  • You can find some more details about these changes in this article on Fallout.com.
ADDITIONAL QUALITY-OF-LIFE IMPROVEMENTS
  • Legendary Enemies: A notification now appears and sound effects play when a legendary creature regenerates to full health during combat.
  • Nuke Zones: Spawning into an active Nuke Zone when you join a world is no fun! From now on, if there’s an active Nuke Zone at your login location, you will receive a prompt offering you the option to leave the current world and search for another.
    • You will be protected from Radiation for a short period of time while you make your decision to stay or leave.
    • This protection will end early if you move, attack, or take damage.
  • Press and Hold: When viewing many types of pre-placed items in the world, you can now press and hold your interact button to quickly make use of those items without entering your Pip-Boy.
    • For Example: You can press and hold the interact button to quickly equip and favorite weapons you find, consume an aid item, or learn a plan or recipe.
    • If you’d prefer, you can still press the interact button without holding it down to add that item to your inventory.
  • Public Events: The descriptions of Public Events on the map now include a suggested player level.
  • Radio Host: A new arrival named Julia has taken to the airwaves to host Appalachia Radio. Tune in to catch her quips in between tracks.
  • Search Perks: The functionality of “Search” Perks, like Scrounger and Pharma Farma, is now automatic. You no longer need to press a button to manually search containers for bonus supplies. You will get a friendly Vault Boy notification when your Perk has kicked in.

BUG FIXES

The Wastelanders update brings close to 1,000 fixes for bugs that were previously affecting the base game, including many that were reported to us by the Fallout 76 community. Since that list is so lengthy, we’ve highlighted a selection of fixes that we thought you might want to know about or may find interesting as you prepare to head back into Appalachia.

Crysis Social Media Reactivates, Hints at New Crysis Game or Remaster

Remember Crysis? Crytek’s fantastic-looking shooter that wowed everyone when it was released way back in 2007? Well, it seems we might be getting a new Crysis game or a remaster news soon if the game’s social media account is anything to go by.

Today, the official Crysis Twitter account came back to life after four years of hibernation. What did it say? Nothing official other than “RECEIVING DATA” which probably means we’re getting fresh news soon!

While this doesn’t mean a new Crysis game is confirmed or we’re getting a remaster, we do have this bit to chew on. Reddit user  ContributorX_PJ64 posted this in October last year, where the official Crytek video shown below has a few Crysis teasers near the end.

The marked section showcasing the teasers has the following bits of info:

  • The trailer suddenly starts playing First Light by Inon Zur. This is the music that plays in the original Crysis when you walk up out of the jungle and gaze over the cove as the sun is rising. This music belongs to Electronic Arts. EA have the copyright for all Crysis assets.
  • There’s a turtle, because of course there is.
  • The camera rises out of the jungle and gazes out over a cove blatantly reminiscent of that from Crysis.
  • Then the nanosuit “crunching” sound plays (sounds like Crysis 3 variant), and the camera cuts to black, with a new actor saying, “CRYENGINE” in the nanosuit voice.

Again, this is no way official news of a Crysis remaster or a new title in the series, but you got to admit, the tweet and this one when combined together leads one to assume a few things, no?

For reference, the last Crysis game released was Crysis 3 way back in 2013, which was reviewed favorably by critics and feature both single-player and multiplayer components.

As someone who liked the Crysis brand of multiplayer, I can’t wait to hear more about this.

Watch live video from Bungie on www.twitch.tv

While we’re not expecting any major reveals, we should still hear new Destiny 2 developments. Perhaps info about the upcoming season? Maybe the new difficulty mode coming to The Ordeal? Your guess is as good as mine. Whatever important info drops, we’ll be sure to cover it. And who knows? Bungie might drop a few free Destiny 2 items during it as well.

Here’s your chance to have video games make a difference, so hop to it, Guardians!

ESRB Has a New Loot Box Ratings Label

Tired of loot boxes in games? If you’re a parent, chances are, you are. Thankfully, the ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) has issued a new loot box ratings label that lets players (and parents) see whether a game has it out of the box.

The ESRB calls it “interactive element” will be labeled to any game with an in-game transaction wherein the player doesn’t know exactly what they’re getting (ie. random items).

What Does This New Notice Mean?

This new Interactive Element, In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items), will be assigned to any game that contains in-game offers to purchase digital goods or premiums with real world currency (or with virtual coins or other forms of in-game currency that can be purchased with real world currency) for which the player doesn’t know prior to purchase the specific digital goods or premiums they will be receiving (e.g., loot boxes, item packs, mystery awards).

In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items) will be assigned to all games that include purchases with any randomized elements, including loot boxes, gacha games, item or card packs, prize wheels, treasure chests, and more. Games that have the In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items) notice may also include other non-randomized paid elements.

Obviously targeting loot boxes, or what EA calls “surprise mechanics,” the ESRB is making this broad enough that it will include card packs, “mystery” awards and more.

Will this make the loot box microtransaction a thing of the past? Probably not, but at least you’ll be able to see it in a game right away if you want to avoid it.
