Great news for PUBGplayers on PC: the Test Servers are remaining open until 1.0 launches on Live Servers, which is scheduled for December 20.
This means players will be able to make a seamless transition from the testing stage, with all of the vaulting and ballistic changes, to the newly-updated Live Servers.
Players, the test servers will stay open until PC 1.0 comes out on live servers! The transition to Phase 2 will be relatively seamless and there won’t be any downtime today. There will be maintenance periods to deploy patches as needed. We highly appreciate all your help.
The promised Destiny 2 Prometheus Lens nerf is about to make the gun intentionally “way too weak,” Bungie says.
The “bugged” weapon has been causing havoc in the game’s PvP Crucible mode, wiping enemies out with devastating speed. Now, that’s all about to change.
With the implementation of the 1.1.1.1 patch, the Prometheus Lens will be made “way too weak,” before being given “a proper, play-tested design pass” in January.
As ‘Laser Tag’ weekend comes to a close, we’re making good on our promise to address the fact that Prometheus Lens is way too powerful. Sure it’s fun, but it breaks the Crucible for anyone who wants to use a different weapon. (1/1)
Given the short window we had to make an emergency fix, it will be adjusted to be way too weak. In January, this new Exotic will receive a proper, play-tested design pass. (2/2)
With Xur selling the weapon, most players picked it up, making for a crazy weekend of “Laser Tag.” That fun will soon end, however, with only those looking to challenge themselves continuing to use the weapon post-patch.
Did you buy the Prometheus Lens? Sad to see it getting nerfed? Let us know.

Original Story:
There’s a new Destiny 2 update out now on the PlayStation 4, and it should “fix” the content access issues some players have complained about ever since the Curse of Osiris DLC dropped. This update is out now while the game itself is undergoing maintenance.
Clocking in at just 92MB on the PS4, the complete patch notes have yet to be published by Bungie but it should be up in an hour or two as per the norm. Some of the stuff we expect to be changed once the maintenance is done and the small patch has been installed are:
The Prestige Leviathan Raid will be brought back down to Power 300, and its rewards will drop down to match the new Power Level. All players will regain access to the Prestige Raid.
This will allow access to “The Prestige” Achievement/Trophy for all players.
This will also allow all players ability to complete the final step for the Legend of Acrius Exotic Shotgun.
Trials of The Nine will only require Curse of Osiris when it features a Curse of Osiris map. For all other weeks, it will be available to all players.
This will allow access to “Lest Ye Be Judged” Achievement/Trophy for all players.
Trials of The Nine rewards that launched with Destiny 2 will still be accessible to all players.
New Seasonal Rewards that launched with Curse of Osiris, such as the new Seasonal Armor Ornaments, will require ownership of Curse of Osiris to acquire.
The Prestige Nightfall will remain a pinnacle activity, at the new 330 Power cap.
This means Prestige Nightfall will require ownership of Curse of Osiris.
Because of this, we will update “The Prestige” Achievement/Trophy to only reference The Prestige Raid.
Moving forward, we are investigating adding a 3rd difficulty to all Prestige activities, so that we can provide both a challenge that stays relevant with each new Expansion, and a Prestige version that is available to all players.
Normal Nightfall will only require Curse of Osiris when it features a Curse of Osiris map. For all other weeks it will be available to all players.
Time limited events – Iron Banner, Faction Rally, and The Dawning, will be made available to all players.
We will be postponing tomorrow’s Faction Rally, to ensure all of our players can access the activity and the appropriate rewards.
Iron Banner and Faction Rally rewards that launched with Destiny 2 will still be accessible to all players.
New Seasonal Rewards that launch with Curse of Osiris, such as the new Seasonal Armor Ornaments, will require ownership of Curse of Osiris to acquire.
We’ll know the exact changes once Bungie releases the patch notes, so be sure to keep an eye out for this post since we’ll update it ASAP.

Anyone planning to pick this up next year? Which games in the franchise is the best in your opinion?
Just last week, we reported that Bungie locked the Platinum Trophy for Destiny 2behind its DLC, Curse of Osiris. Understandably, a lot of people were upset with this latest change, since it also affected other content in the game that were previously available for non-DLC buyers.
Today, Bungie will remedy that and has admitted that the studio has made “mistakes” in handling content access. Over on its official site, Bungie explained the reasoning behind gating the content access, and why they separated normal and Prestige modes.
The following were our goals when we separated “Normal” and “Prestige” modes:
The Normal Leviathan Raid and Normal Nightfall would always stay at a Power level that was accessible to all players.
Prestige difficulty would always rise to the new Power cap. It could be the pinnacle of challenge, with the most prestigious rewards, but it therefore would require you to own the latest Expansion and be at the new Power cap.
Additionally, the game provides Seasonal, time-limited PvP playlists – Trials of The Nine and Iron Banner. These activities and their rewards are meant to evolve each Season, and they utilize new maps, so they would require you to own the latest content. To play the latest season of Iron Banner or Trials, and earn the new rewards, players would need to own Curse of Osiris.
We’ve heard from the community that both of these plans aren’t working. The Prestige Raid was a novel experience that players value, even if they don’t own Curse of Osiris, and it was a mistake to move that experience out of reach. Throughout the lifetime of the Destiny Franchise, Trials has always required that players owned the latest Expansion. However, for Destiny 2, Trials of The Nine launched as part of the main game, so it’s not right for us to remove access to it.
To make matters worse, our team overlooked the fact that both of these mistakes disabled Trophies and Achievements for Destiny 2. This was an unacceptable lapse on our part, and we can understand the frustration it has created.
To make up for it, Bungie will be rolling a hotfix (server-side) update later today during its scheduled maintenance period to make the following changes:
This is definitely a step in the right direction for both Bungie and Destiny 2. Let’s hope something like this never happens again. In other Destiny 2 news, a player loses a wager, and Bungie pushes him to shave his head — no, really!

Speaking of Black Ops 3, the game is so good that it even managed to land a spot in our latest feature on why you should be playing 2016’s shooters in 2017. Are you still playing Black Ops 3 or have you moved on to the newer franchise entries?
While Tekken 7 has been getting constant updates from Bandai Namco, there’s one thing still plaguing the PlayStation 4 version of the game, and that’s the dreaded Tekken 7 PS4 input lag issue.
Those not familiar with the term, input lag is when the game suffers a delay from controller input to what’s happening on the screen. Even a microsecond delay can mean the difference in matches, and it’s something that shouldn’t be present in any fighting game — ever. Fortunately for PS4 gamers, this issue will (finally) be resolved. According to Mark Julio, Community Advisor for the Tekken franchise, a new Tekken 7 title update on the PS4 will roll out this week on December 14!
TEKKEN 7 PS4 update to improve latency on input delay will roll out starting December 14 (next week!)!! #TeamTEKKEN
After the grueling Capcom Cup 2017 tournament concluding yesterday, Street Fighter Vfans have more to talk about aside from the tournament results itself.
During the closing moments of said tournament, Street Fighter V franchise maestro Yoshinori Ono himself took the stage to reveal what’s to come for Street Fighter V come season three. This, of course is none other than reveal the of DLC characters that will arrive throughout the span of the third season.
You can check out the reveal trailer below:
Being a longstanding Street Fighter fan myself, I must say the addition of classic characters such as Blanka, Cody, Sakura and Sagat is always welcome. Though I’m more looking forward at what Capcom has planned with the new characters to the series Falke and G. Whom the latter seems to be the “president” character that has been leaked weeks before, especially since he appears to have an Uncle Sam-esque pose.
Season three for Street Fighter V is set to kick off Janaury 16 with the addition of Sakura, in which you can check out her below as well.
Are you looking forward to season three of Street Fighter V? If so, let us know which dlc character your most looking forward to in the comment section below.
While Battlefield 1 just had its latest expansion, Turning Tides, released today, franchise fans (like me) are already looking forward to what Battlefield 2018 will be.
Well, if this recent video is anything to go by, it’ll be none other than Battlefield: Bad Company 3! This info is courtesy of AlmightyDaq, who also leaked a ton of Battlefield 1 info that turned out to be legit. Here’s some of the info we’ve compiled from the video.
Various locations in the campaign will be “mid and post-Vietnam conflict” and not include the Cold War, and will not be “historically accurate.” Game modes confirmed to be in it are: Conquest, Rush, Operations, Domination, Team Deathmatch. There will be a 5v5-centric game mode similar to Squad Obliteration.
Maps will allegedly focus on “tighter gameplay” rather than “all-out warfare” and will be similar to Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 maps like Oasis Grand Bazaar, Harvest Day and so on.
Regarding gunplay, there will be Vietnam and Cold War era guns, and the gun customization will supposedly rival that of Battlefield 4, which means it’s going to be robust compared to the more simplistic approach of BF1. The character, gun and vehicle customization will also be improved (think: BF4 than BF1), which should be good news for lots of players who are into that.
When it comes to vehicles, players can expect modern tanks, LAVs, helicopters and the like to make a return, The kits (classes) in Bad Company 3 will be the Engineer, Support, Assault and Recon classes, which, if true, will be similar to BC2. Allegedly, the overall gameplay will be a “faster tempo” than BF1, and will have a higher skill gap.
Finally, microtransactions won’t be a thing (at least for now), and it won’t follow the same path as the highly controversial Star Wars Battlefront II! Let’s hope this is true, and that EA has learned a lesson or two from what happened to BFII.
AlmightyDaq mentions that we should expect a reveal at E3 2018, which is where EA typically announces their big games, and that a lot of YouTubers already know of BC3’s existence though aren’t talking about it for now.
You can watch the video below to hear it all firsthand, but remember: all of these things are rumors, until proven or debunked by EA and DICE. Even if Battlefield 2018 is indeed Bad Company 3, there’s a lot of things that can change which could make the info inaccurate. We’ve reached out to EA and will update the post if and when we get a statement about this.
If true, would you want Bad Company 3 or would you rather DICE release a direct sequel to Battlefield 1? As a longtime fan of BC2, I really hope this is true, and that DICE gives us a BC3 that’s faithful to BC2 which some consider one of the best titles in franchise history.
Share your thoughts about this in the comments below, and get hyped, soldier!
In a press release, Activision has announced the winners of the recently concluded Call of Duty World League, and it’s none other than Team Kaliber! Rounding out the top four final spots are Team Splyce, OpTic Gaming and FaZe Clan.
Team Kaliber claimed the largest piece of the event’s $200,000 prize pool, which is part of the season’s $4.2 million total prize pool — the largest in Call of Duty eSports history.
Here’s the final rankings for the CWL Dallas Open:
1st – Team Kaliber
2nd – Splyce
3rd – OpTic Gaming
4th – FaZe Clan
5th/6th – Echo Fox / eUnited
7th/8th – Luminosity / Team EnVyUs
In other Call of Duty eSports news, the event itself experienced delays (twice) due to two separate bomb threats. The first one happened on the opening day, with the other one during Sunday, which was the finals.
The event, which was held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, thankfully continued as planned with no one hurt. Event officials had to evacuate the center due to the second bomb scare. This was originally reported by local TV reporter Rebecca Lopez when a security guard saw a backpack that looked like it had dynamite in it, as well as the authorities getting a call from someone saying the center would be blown up in 30 minutes.
Dallas convention center has been evacuated. Sources say a security guard called DPD saying he saw a back pack that looked like it had dynamite in it. Bomb squad called in. Sources say Crime Stoppers also got a calling saying Convention center would be blown up in 30 minutes.
Given how some people hate Call of Duty, this might be taking it to a whole other level. Thankfully no one got hurt, and let’s hope this kind of thing doesn’t happen again.
Posting on the game’s blog, “mollygos” provided an update on the Stardew Valleymultiplayer beta. Unfortunately, for those eager to get playing with friends, the beta has been pushed back until Q1 2018 “in order to make room for polish and QA.”
Those hungry for any new multiplayer information will be happy to learn that new features like marriage between players, and festivals, are currently being worked on.
So, multiplayer is coming along nicely! Tom is working on implementing marriage between players, and recently finished up working on festivals. Now you’ll have someone to dance with at the Flower Dance, even if you’ve yet to win over any of the residents of Pelican Town.
In addition to news on the multiplayer, the PS Vita port has been confirmed to be launching next year. It will support cross-buy, so if you own it on PS4, you’ll be able to play the PS Vita version at no additional cost!
Stardew Valley will also be getting more language support in 2018. New languages will include French, Italian, Korean, and Turkish.
Monster Hunter: Worldis already shaping up to be a fun game, and is sure to kick 2018 with a bang when it releases on January 26. As for what’s planned after the launch, game creator Ryozo Tsujimoto has given us a taste of post-launch support.
Speaking with Famitsu, Tsujimoto confirmed that there would post-launch updates that feature new monsters, amongst other things.
Famitsu: In the stream you announced that there will be post-release free update patches, but what kind of features will be added there?
Tsujimoto: In Monster Hunter: World, we’re thinking about free update patches after release. Speaking in a tangible way, we plan to add new monsters among others, so we hope the game will become playable in a long term. Regarding which monsters will be added, we will inform that later so please look forward to it.
So if players manage to slay all of the monsters in the base game, they’ll have more to look forward to in future updates. Sounds good to me!
With the release of Battlefield 1’s Turning Tides expansion today, DICE has also rolled out new Battlepack Revisions! Available now and for the next two days until we get the weekly refresh on Thursday, the “Cape Helles Revision #1” Battlepack can be yours now.
Check out the contents of this Battlepack below, as well as the Exchange.
In addition to that, there’s also a bunch of new BF1 Turning Tides dog tags that can be obtained as well. These of course, can be yours by completing specific tasks. Check out the BF1 Turning Tides dog tags below.
Don’t forget: these Battlepacks are available for a limited time only, so try to get them while you can. Having said that though, there’s nothing super interesting in them so use your scraps as you wish.
We’ll have more BF1 Turning Tides content up on MP1st so stay tuned!
Two new Overkill’s The Walking Deadvideos have been posted to the game’s official YouTube channel. The first gives a behind-the-scenes look at the development process, while the second introduces main character Aiden.
Click “play” on the videos below to get a better understanding of what this new four-player co-op action FPS is looking to bring to the table for 2018.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zs8a27hoD4E
Inspired by the rich story universe of Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels, OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op multiplayer FPS action game set in Washington, D.C., as an outbreak brings the dead back to life. In this test of strategy and endurance, players will band together with up to three friends on a variety of missions and raids, securing supplies and survivors to strengthen their base camp against the threat of both the dead and the living – by any means necessary.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UdRzTPfIb4&t=7s
Each playable character has their own special abilities, skill trees, squad roles, play styles and background stories. Now they all share a common objective where survival and teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attacks or go in guns blazing. You need to be able to improvise, as nothing is certain, and a horde of walkers is always around the corner.
Are you looking forward to diving into a co-op shooter set within The Walking Dead universe? Let us know.
In case you didn’t know, Battlefield 1’s latest expansion, Turning Tides, has just been released, and should be playable for those who are BF1 Premium members. With the expansion rolling out, that means there’s new maps, new game modes, and new weapons.
Of course, we can’t have new weapons in Battlefield 1 without tackling new assignments, right? So without further ado, below are the Battlefield 1 Turning Tides assignments for the new weapons!
Aside from the new assignments, EA has also released the BF1 Turning Tides launch trailer! And as one can expect from a DICE-made trailer, it’s all kinds of awesome.
We’ll have lots more Turning Tides content here on MP1st, so stay tuned! Once we have enough time with the new maps, new Operations and whatnot, we’ll be sure to give our impressions for the expansion.
EA France has since deleted the tweet which either means it’s an announcement that was made prematurely, or Finn and Phasma will cost credits to unlock. Once we know more about it, we’ll be sure to let readers know.
Original Story:
It’s time for some positive Star Wars Battlefront IInews! New heroes Finn and Captain Phasma will be added to the game on December 13, and both will require 0 Credits to unlock (providing you’ve been active during The Last Jedi season).
This was confirmed by the EA France Twitter account:
Finn et Captain Phasma rejoignent #StarWarsBattlefrontII le 13 décembre . Débloquez-les sans avoir besoin de crédits en vous connectant pendant la Saison Les Derniers Jedi. pic.twitter.com/xWcYENSKu9
The text has been translated by Reddit user gaddict1:
From the Twitter of EA France : “Finn and Captain Phasma” join ##StarWarsBattlefrontII december 13th. Unlock them without needing credits by logging in during Season The Last Jedi.”
This is great news for those worried that the new characters would be locked behind high Credit requirements.
Make sure you log into the game during The Last Jedi season to secure your free heroes!
