Bringing Monster Hunter World to Nintendo Switch Would Be “Difficult,” Game Is Best-Selling on PSN Last Month

Monster Hunter World Nintendo Switch happening? Doesn’t seem to be anytime soon.

While PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers are already slaying away in Monster Hunter World, the PC crowd won’t get their turn until later this year. But what about those who game on the Nintendo Switch? Well, it seems World won’t be brought over anytime soon.

In an interview with Toyo Keizai, Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto commented on bringing Monster Hunter World to Nintendo’s portable hybrid console.

We’re aware of that request. However, taking into account various conditions, bringing Monster Hunter: World now for release is difficult. The reason is that the Switch has different functions from other stationary consoles as well as different players.

From now on, we’re looking at how we can support the Switch with our games, and that also includes Monster Hunter.

That doesn’t sound good, doesn’t it? What makes this doubly painful for Switch owners is, the Monster Hunter franchise has always been known as a portable game, and it managed a ton of success on Nintendo’s 3DS platform. This doesn’t mean it’ll never appear on the Switch, but the words released so far aren’t exactly the beacon of hope Switch owners are looking for.

In other Monster Hunter World news, Sony has announced that the action game was the best-selling game on the PlayStation Store last month!

You can check out the complete top 20 PS4 games list below.

PS4 games:

  1. Monster Hunter: World (New)
  2. Horizon Zero Dawn (11)
  3. FIFA 18 (2)
  4. Gang Beasts (6)
  5. GTA V (4)
  6. Rocket League (8)
  7. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (1)
  8. Call of Duty: WWII (3)
  9. EA Sports UFC 2 (15)
  10. Need For Speed: Payback (5)
  11. Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege (13)
  12. Minecraft (18)
  13. Dragon Ball FighterZ (New)
  14. ARK: Survival Evolved (20)
  15. Gran Turismo Sport (17)
  16. Friday The 13th: The Game (Re-entry)
  17. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (19)
  18. Assassin’s Creed: Origins (7)
  19. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice (RE)
  20. Watch Dogs 2 (RE)

Mind, this isn’t exactly surprising news given Capcom has announced how successful Monster Hunter World is just a few weeks after launch.

Call of Duty: WWII Playlist Update Rolled Out to Fix Epic Bribe UI Issue

COD WW2 update gets rolled out again after SHG accidentally breaks something…

While we just got a new Call of Duty: WWII update yesterday, Sledgehammer Games has rolled out a new playlist update to fix the Epic Bribe issue. First, the good news: Sledgehammer claims the Epic Bribe issue is only UI-related, meaning you might see duplicate items in your Epic Bribe slots when you open them, but if you check the actual inventory, you’ll see that you’ve gotten new Epic items and whatnot.

Here’s the official message posted by Sledgehammer on Reddit:

Hot Fix Update for Epic Bribe UI Issue
byu/SHG_Hammer inWWII

Hey everyone,

We pushed through a hot fix for the issue some of you have been seeing with your Epic Bribe drops. The issue was only UI-related. Players were seeing the same items in the first and third slots. Some players weren’t seeing an Epic item on screen at all. However, if you check your inventory, you’ll see that you did in fact receive an Epic item, despite the UI showing you otherwise.

Also, we are aware of a new UI issue that arose with the actual crate model. While the crate itself is not fully visible, all functionality is still intact, and you can still open it. We apologize for the confusion!

Additionally, for supply drop issues, please reach out to Activision Support on Reddit or Twitter. That said, we are always here to help and will of course pass along reports to them.

Thanks, everyone. Enjoy your day 🙂

Unfortunately, it seems this update managed to bork something as well. User FromundaBrees mentioned that he’s now unable to accept orders from Major Howard, and just makes him abandon the order. The good news here is there is a fix, and that’s backing out of the orders tab, going back in again, and it should work. If not, then another user says to accept a weekly order in order for it to work. These fixes are not ideal, but at least they’re there, right?

If you’re curious what the rewards are for this month’s Resistance event, check out the list here.

Did SHGames manage to break anything else in its latest update? If so, share ’em in the comments below.

Monster Hunter World Jewels and Decorations – How to Get the Good Ones

Monster Hunter World jewels will make or break your build for end-game!

If you’re hovering near Monster Hunter World’s end-game, or even at that point, you’ve no doubt encountered the Monster Hunter World jewels — or “decorations” — as the game likes to call ’em. If you’re unfamiliar with it or do not know how to “farm” them, and properly use, MP1st has you covered.

What are Decorations?

In Monster Hunter World, Decorations are gems that give added abilities and buffs existing ones, and can be placed in High Rank armor and weapons. These abilities range from having specific damage to an element, added critical hit bonus, +attack damage and more.

Decorations will be one of the main components of your final end-game build, since not only will you be aiming to get tier 3 ones, but they can make or break your character as well. Even the armor you choose in High Rank will be determined (somewhat) by how many slots it has for Decorations and for what tiers.

Not familiar with tiers? Decorations have three tiers (1, 2, 3), and the higher the tier, the better buff it gives. Armor and weapon sockets have tiers tied to them as well, so tier 3 sockets can have tiers 1-3 Decorations slotted into them, while tier 1 sockets can only accommodate tier 1 gems.

Got that? Good.

Where to obtain and farm these?

Decorations are dropped by almost every HR mission fight, and even for some optional and investigations. You’ll see them at the end of match recap rewards recap screen, and once you appraise them, you’ll see what rarity it is, and what abilities it can buff or offer. Note that do NOT sell your Decorations even if it’s being offered to you in the game’s in-game menu. You will need all your Decorations (yes, even the crappy ones), down the line, which we’ll get to in a bit.

Note that do not meld decorations. You won’t need to, since the items on the list are Decorations you’ll easily obtain just by completing missions and earning feystones (Decorations that haven’t been appraised). You will need all your Decorations once you’ve killed the final boss and have seen the credits roll.

As of today, there’s a mission under “Events” called “Triple Threat Throwdown” where you’ll need to fight a Great Girros, Great Jagras and a Dodogama in one arena. It’s much easier than it sounds, and you have the arena armaments to help you out. Completing these

How to get the good stuff?

You’ll notice that you’re still getting the usual tier 1 Decorations while you’re progressing from HR15 all the way until you reach HR40+. It’s infuriating but the light at the end of the tunnel is near. Once you’ve beaten the mission “Beyond the Blasting Scales,” where you’re tasked to defeat two tempered Bazelgeuse, you’ll then have access to finding tempered footprints scattered throughout the Ancient Forest, Wildspire Waste, etc. These footprints are blue, and once you’ve collected enough, you’ll be able to look for tempered enemies, which will always (or almost always) drop Decorations once you’ve defeated them.

Kill enough tempered monsters (and reach HR49) and you’ll then again access to the mission “Thunderous Rumble in the Highlands” where you’re ordered to slay a tempered Kirin! This is easier said than done, but once you’ve crossed the HR50 threshold, you’ll then gain access to the good and awesome Decorations. Beating monsters won’t guarantee you’ll get the good stuff, but you’ll see the heavy-hitters drop here and there, rather than not at all (if you haven’t hit HR50).

Once you’ve beaten the final boss Xeno’jiva, you’ll gain access to the “First Wyverian Ritual” at the Elder Melder. Remember those crappy Decorations you’ve held on to? Yeah, now you’re going to need each and every one of ’em to create new ones! That said, the ingredients to create them need to be farmed by killing tempered monsters. Streamstone Shards, Streamstones, and Gleaming Streamstones are needed to craft new Decorations via the Elder Melder that will grant you better (in theory) Decorations from the ones you’ve collected that you don’t like or use.

Note that the outcome is purely random, and it doesn’t matter which Decorations you put in the mix. So if you have an Attack Decoration, or something as valuable, don’t put them in there, alright?

To create new, and more powerful Decorations, you’ll need research points, existing Decorations, and the shards.

Well, there you go. By this point, there’s a good chance you’ve already farmed your end-game armor and weapon, so this is a new farming loop that you’ll need to do until you reach HR100 where another new customization option opens up, but that’s a conversation for another time.

If you have tips on how to mine Decorations or to have the RNG gods in your favor in melding them, share ’em in the comments below.

DICE Reveals Battlefield 1 Player Stats, Offers Free DLC Trial for Valentine’s Day

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, EA is offering non-Premium Battlefield 1 players the chance to try out the new Turning Tides expansion, as well as all previous DLCs. All players will be able to access all of game’s content up until February 19.

In addition to this, DICE has compiled an infographic displaying a number of BF1 stats. Most surprising of all, to me at least, is that the Scout isn’t the most popular class! (I mean, I’m always getting killed by snipers!)

Take a look at the full list of BF1 stats below:

What do you make of these BF1 stats? Did you contribute to a lot of kills? Let us know.

In other Battlefield 1 news, you can read up on the latest set of patch notes here, YouTuber LevelCap shared his thoughts on EA manipulating the media, and all Operations are now accessible to all players with no Premium Pass requirement.

Overwatch Patch Notes Detail Big Lucio CTF Nerf & More

The latest batch of Overwatch patch notes accompany the new update that is rolling out across all platforms. The main focus of the patch is nerfing Lucio for the featured Capture the Flag mode. Players should find that he is a lot less powerful, with wall riding now resulting in a dropped flag.

Here’s the full list of Overwatch patch notes:

HERO UPDATES

  • Lúcio

Wall Ride

Activating Wall Ride will now cause the flag to drop during Capture the Flag matches

Developer Comments: Lúcio’s Wall Ride allowed him to reach unintended places in Capture the Flag maps, which made it overly difficult for opponents to stop him. So, we have changed the ability to cause the flag to drop instead for better balanced matches.

BUG FIXES

  • General

Fixed a typo that caused the Lunar New Year banner to display the wrong end date for Overwatch Lunar New Year

Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the client to crash after a player used the Hero Skin Selection dropdown menu in Hero Select

  • Capture the Flag

Fixed a bug that allowed Winston to pick up the flag while airborne after activating his Jump Pack

Fixed a bug that caused flags dropped near ceilings to get stuck inside of walls

  • Deathmatch

Fixed a bug that caused Mei to levitate if she used Cryo-stasis

  • Game Browser and Custom Games

Fixed a bug that prevented players from playing games in the Arcade if they were using a trial account

  • Heroes

Fixed a bug that caused hero ultimate charges to reset after the first death if a player changed their skin using the Hero Skin Selection a second before the match began

Fixed a bug that caused Zarya’s reaction animations to loop continuously after taking damage following the destruction of her Particle Barrier

  • UI

Fixed a bug that prevented the Weekly Rewards timer in from displaying correctly in the Arcade

Are you happy with the changes? Will this greatly improve the Capture the Flag experience? Let us know what you think!

In other Overwatch news, YouPorn is saying the game is hurting its traffic, new loot has been added to standard loot boxes, and the new hero is apparently going to be “meta changing.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Now Available for Injustice 2 Season Pass Holders

How to get TMNT in Injustice 2? Super simple, if you can pony up the dough.

Today is a big day for both NetherRealm Studios and the Injustice 2 playerbase, as those who happen to own either the Ultimate God Pack or Fighter Pack 3 can start getting access to quite possibly the oddest guest characters in any NetherRealm Studios game.

This, of course, is about The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being available in Injustice 2 if you happen to own either of the previously mentioned Season Passes. Those wondering how exactly selecting a specific Ninja Turtle will work, it’s simple. As all you really need to do is change the accessory to the weapon of the Ninja Turtle of your choice.

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment welcome the newest addition to the Injustice 2 roster: Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Beginning today, players who have purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, Injustice 2Ultimate Pack or Fighter Pack #3 for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can play as any one of the iconic Heroes in a Half Shell – Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo. By equipping one of four accessories – swords, bo staff, nunchakus or sais – players will be able to change their character loadout to play as one of the four Turtles. Each will wield their own unique move sets, character powers and special moves and, in online and tournament modes where specific loadouts are unavailable, each individual Turtle can be chosen from the character select screen.

Additionally, it appears the Ninja Turtles will work similar to Tri-borg from Mortal Kombat X, where each Ninja Turtle will have specific special moves and character trait, but will share similar combo strings. Making the transition to a different Ninja Turtle a bit smoother if you happen to want to switch it up a bit.

Aside from that, those who wish to only purchase the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without having to purchase Fighter Pack 3 can do so on Feburary 20 for 9.99. When the Ninja Turtles will become available on their own.

For more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles goodness, feel free to check out their trailer here.

New Monster Hunter World Horizon Zero World Event Called “The Proving” Lets You Be Aloy

New Monster Hunter World Horizon Zero Dawn event set to hit soon!

While Sony and Capcom have already teamed up for a Monster Hunter World and Horizon Zero Dawn crossover that’s out now for your Palico companion, it seems that’s not the last we’ll see of the two games’ content crossing over.

Over on Twitter, Capcom has announced “The Proving” which will be a new Monster Hunter World PS4 event that’s tied to Horizon Zero Dawn! The event will start this February 28, and players will need to be Hunter Rank 11 to take part in it.

Players will need to take down an Anjanath to get the Horizon Zero Dawn hunter gear. As one can expect, this event is exclusive to the PS4 version of Monster Hunter World. What do you get for completing the task? It’s a full armor set will alter your appearance, and can be worn by both male and female hunters!

Those familiar with Horizon Zero Dawn, The Proving is an in-game event in the game’s story that involves the game’s heroine Aloy. I won’t talk about it anymore to avoid spoilers, but it’s something that happens relatively early on in the action game.

If you’re curious what other content is set to drop for Monster Hunter World, check out this quick guide on the latest DLC confirmed to hit the game, and yes, it includes other cross-game mashups.

Call of Duty: WWII Resistance Rewards List – Here’s What You Can Obtain

COD WW2 Resistance rewards all in one place!

With Sledgehammer Games’ Resistance event in full swing all this month for Call of Duty: WWII, that means Resistance rewards are still the main Supply Drop loot players are aiming for. That said, it’s confusing just what players can earn that’s connected to the Resistance event, no?

Thankfully, Reddit user Potent_Delusions compiled a huge list of stuff players can earn! From infantry outfits, guns, pistol grips and more. This is one huge and comprehensive list! Of note, there are six Axis outfits missing in the list, so add one Axis outfit for each Division (totaling six).

Have you managed to collect most of these? If not, don’t fret! You still have the entire month to continue earning Supply Drops. You can check out the COD: WWII Resistance schedule here.

In other COD: WWII news, don’t forget that a patch is set to drop this week, and we’ll be sure to let people know once it does.

Monster Hunter World Nergigante Weakness and Rewards

Monster Hunter World Negrigante weakness and more revealed!

With Monster Hunter World now a few weeks old, chances are, the dedicated players out there have already reached High Rank mode. But in order to surpass the High Rank cap, and dive into the real meat of Monster Hunter World, players need to to go through the badass dragon, Negrigante!

Slaying Negrigante is easier said than done, and this is where MP1st comes in! We’re here to talk about basic tactics about the angry dragon, and for those who want to know, the Monster Hunter World Negrigante weakness!

Monster Hunter World Negrigante Weakness

First off, Negrigante’s big weakness is the thunder element, with the dragon element coming in second. It might not look it since it’s not as obvious as say, using a water weapon against ice enemies, but there you go. Negrigante’s weakness is thunder, so make sure to farm a weapon that has good thunder damage.

In case you couldn’t see the image above, Negrigante’s horns are breakable (more on that later), tail is severable, and the beast has three weak points, which players should aim for to get maximum damage.

Tactics and General Tips

  • Negrigante has three main attacks: there’s the running attack that rushes at you with a lot of speed, and will knock you on your ass, there’s the spike shower that has limited range but does a ton of damage if it connects, and there’s the dreaded “psycho crusher” flying dive attack that has a HUGE hitbox and has spikes to boot! If you feel like you managed to roll out of his dive, but still got hit, that’s most likely the spikes. In addition to that, Negrigante also has standard attacks like swiping his tail, and more. His wings are also tools of destruction so don’t stick to close to it.
  • If you’re planning on imbibing potions, Demondrugs, or something, make sure to do it at a huge distance away, since Negrigante can close gaps super quick, and usually goes after those healing themselves.
  • Make sure to “stick and move” when it comes to attacks. By this, I mean not going all out in combos with long attack animations since Negrigante can stop it with any of his attacks, and he deals a lot of damage. Stick to hitting him, and moving away/evading. Better safe than sorry, folks!
  • Don’t bunch up with teammates. Most of Negri’s attacks target areas instead of specific players, so bunching together means he’ll most likely get a double stun.
  • Use flash pods and use them intelligently. If you have a mic, alternate using flash pods for when Negri’s about to fly away, or just being a pain in the ass.
  • Use mega barrel bombs if you can, and don’t forget, when a monster is sleeping, the first hit deals double damage, so make sure to place bombs on his head.
  • Don’t attempt Negrigante if your armor defense isn’t even in mid-50’s. If you’re planning on taking him on with low rank armor, or something you didn’t even upgrade, don’t. You’ll just end up being one-shotted and your teammates will hate you.
  • Negrigante’s sleeping area has two flashflies at the back, which will be accessible once he wrecks the stage. Use these wisely since this part also means you’re close to killing the beast.

Negrigante Rewards and Expectations

Players will be able to get a fair amount of Negrigante material every time he’s slain. Much like other Elder Dragons, Negrigante cannot be captured/trapped, which means if you want the good stuff, be prepare to sever his tail, or break his horns.

Speaking of which, the ever-elusive Negrigante gem, which is used for a lot of Rarity 7 and Rarity 8 weapons can be obtained by sheer luck, or by breaking off Negrigante’s horns. Even if you don’t see it physically drop during combat, it usually is part of the overall rewards.

The good thing with Negrigante’s materials is, it’s fairly easy to make his set armor. Expect to slay him at least 4-5 times to get a few pieces forged. Remember: there are two kinds of Negrigante armor, so choose wisely. His set bonuses are a self heal that triggers for attacking enemies. It’s nothing super significant, but it’s useful to have.

Also of note, Negrigante’s max defense can be boosted with armor spheres once you’ve killed off Xeno’jiva.

Well, there you have it! We hope this quick guide helps you in tackling this monster. and we’ll be back to cover tactics with the other Elder Dragons soon! If you have any tips in taking down Negrigante, share ’em in the comments!

This PUBG Artwork Looks a Little Too Similar to Destiny 2’s

It’s no secret that PUBG has become incredibly successful. It dominated on PC, then Xbox One, and now a Chinese version of the game has launched, looking to keep that success rolling. What’s curious, is that this Chinese version is using artwork that looks super similar to that of Destiny 2.

Take a look at the artwork below, and just try and tell me that’s not suspicious!

Marketing Analyst Daniel Ahmad also pointed out that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had been ripped off by a Chinese animated movie:

What do you make of the PUBG artwork? Could it possibly be coincidence? Let us know.

In other PUBG news, Reshade has been totally blocked despite the anti-cheat patch delay, over 1 million cheaters were banned in January 2018 alone, and a new PUBG Invitational has been announced.
