Injustice 2 – Wonder Woman Movie Inspired Costume Arrives Next Week

It’s no secret that NetherRealm Studios loves to incorporate skins from the DCEU onto it’s Injustice games, as seen in both Superman and Zod receiving their Man Of Steel movie counterparts as costumes once the movie was released.

Which according to the latest news about Injustice 2, it seems NetherRealm Studios is once again following the same formula with their latest title. As very recently during Steve Aoki’s charity stream, it was revealed that the costume featured in the upcoming Wonder Woman movie that’s set to be released next week will indeed be heading to Injustice 2 to coincide with the movie release date.

How exactly can you earn the costume worn by Gal Gadot in the upcoming movie? According to the stream, it’s pretty simple as it’ll be available via an upcoming Mutliverse event that’s slated to arrive next week. However, for those who happen to miss out on the Multiverse event can still obtain the costume via random drops after the event ends.

For those who’ve been out of a loop as to what the costume looks like can get a first look of it in-game by viewing the image below:

With the inclusion of the Wonder Woman DCEU skin, hopefully this means much more costumes will be available in Injustice 2 in the near future.

Injustice 2 is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Paladins – OB 49 Patch Now Available On Consoles, Adds New Hero And Custom Key Mapping

It’s been quite some time since the console version of Paladins received an update ever since the free-to-play shooter went into an open beta state.

Thankfully, as of yesterday that changes as a new update has been pushed onto the console version that adds a feature that fans have been wanting for awhile. This, of course, is none other than the inclusion of custom key mapping for the controllers which will allow you to fully customize each button for every character seperately. Making certain characters Drogoz a breeze to play since you won’t be confined to the awkward default button mapping.

Aside from that, OB 49 also brings other console exclusive fixes that you can view below:

  • Addressed an issue where sound would cut out on certain maps.
  • Addressed an issue where players could not scroll in the Custom Game lobby browser.
  • Addressed an issue where VGS commands were not displaying.
  • Added the ability to mute players via Map Lobby and Scoreboard.
  • Tweaked reload vibrations to better represent on-screen actions.
  • Added Super Sampling support for the PS4 Pro.

Additionally, for those out of the loop of what exactly OB 49 brings such as Willo, the latest character to be added into the game can read the patch notes here.

Paladins is currently available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms as a free-to-play title.

Battlefield 1 – In The Name Of The Tsar Teaser Image Reveals Female Soldier

With the In The Name Of The Tsar expansion DLC set to arrive “late Summer”, it appears DICE can’t contain their excitement as they have released a new teaser image.

As recently, the Stockholm based studio has teased new information regarding the DLC ahead of the scheduled June 10th event, where the public will get a first look of what the expansion that focuses on the Russian army has to offer. In which you can view the teaser image below:

From the looks of the teaser image DICE provided it appears that  female soldiers are indeed being included once In The Name Of The Tsar launches sometime this summer. Though some may find it odd that female soldiers are being added to the game that focuses on WWI, it should be noted that female battalions for Russia existed all the way back in 1915.

Battlefield 1 is currently available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Paladins – Upcoming OB 50 Patch Introduces Nerf Guns, Wrestling Themed Skin For Buck And More

With Paladins,  the free-to-play hero shooter from Hi-Rez Studios set to release a new patch in the upcoming days. The Georgia-based developer has given the community for Paladins a little sneak peak as what’s to come once OB 50 patch goes live on PC.

For starters and probably my favorite addition to the game for this patch is Buck receiving a new collection item that transforms him into a 1980’s style wrestler such as Hulk Hogan. Though probably the best part of the skin is quite possible is the voicepack which features the voice talent of Chris Rager whom is most familiar for voicing both Hercules in Dragon Ball Z and Mr. Torgue in the Borderlands game.

In addition to Buck receiving a new collection item that will be available to purchase directly, both Evie and Sha-lin will be getting new collections added to the game as well. In which you can view them in the links below:

Aside from  new collections being made available, Hi-Rez Studios is also adding Nerf styled cosmetics to the game thanks to the “Get Rekt” chest that will be made available as soon as the patch is released.  Below you’ll find the content of the chest including a “Get Rekt” spray:

  • Kinessa REKT Long Gun
  • Sha Lin REKT Great Bow

Scuf Impact & Scuf Infinity 4PS Pro – We Review Scuf Gaming’s Latest PlayStation 4 Controllers

[youtube id=”0pPqIlX6vZ8″]

Now over three years into the current console generation, the PlayStation 4 has a larger presence than ever in the console eSports scene and has become the home of popular first-person shooter games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Destiny. So, it’s about time that gamers on Sony’s platform were introduced to a more serious eSports controller that could keep up with the rapid growth of professional gaming on PlayStation.

Scuf Gaming, now a household name in pro gaming circles, answered that call this past Spring with two brand new devices. The Scuf Impact is a bold new take on the PlayStation game pad with game-changing features and a winning look and feel. Meanwhile, the Scuf Infinity 4PS Pro is another forward-looking take on the more traditionally-shaped DualShock 4 design.

We recently had the chance to get our hands on both in an attempt to answer the question: ‘are either worthy of becoming your weapon of choice?’

At first glance, the Scuf Impact’s overall design is noticeably wider than the typical DualShock 4 shape or the Scuf Infinity 4PS Pro. The sticks and face buttons between both controllers will still line up when compared side-by-side, but the Impact’s grips extend further out to the sides, slightly altering the grip angle. The Xbox crowd will feel right at home here while the Sony folks will certainly appreciate the longer reach to the thumbsticks, which, in my experience, promotes better thumb placement. That’s right, no more thumbs running into each other when both sticks are tilted inward. Combined with the custom fit on the backside of the controller and the textured grip, the Scuf Impact is probably the most comfortable controller I’ve ever held.

In addition to providing more space for your thumbs, the Impact’s wider design also now fits four paddles instead of two. In my hands, the tips of the outer-most paddles sit precisely where my middle fingers rest so actions like jumping or crouching are just a minor finger twitch away. That said, the paddles are still stiff enough that I didn’t need to worry about any accidental presses. Meanwhile, the two inner paddles are angled so that they only need to be flicked toward the center of the controller to activate and don’t need to be pressed in all the way.

On top of being completely removable and remappable with the included EMR Mag Key, the paddles are also recessed into the back of the controller, which is a great design improvement in general and is shared between both the Impact and the Infinity Pro. If they do break, Scuf has you covered in the first 12 months with a neat paddle replacement policy.

Diving deeper into the features on the backside of either controller, you’ll notice a cleverly placed trigger stop mechanism underneath each trigger that rotates 360 degrees, providing two different stop positions, and is easily adjusted with a Scuf Key. The trigger covers are now also removable, revealing an adjustable hair trigger mechanism that lets you really dial in your desired amount of “play.” As you can imagine, this gives aiming and firing your weapon in any shooter game a noticeably snappier feel, responding to more minute movements. Attachable trigger extensions also offer alternative positions for your trigger fingers, which are also quite comfortable, I might add.

Overall, most moving parts on both the Impact and Infinity Pro, especially the new triggers and paddles, have that satisfying “click” and “snap” that give the impression of a solid, well-built game pad.

On the front, the Impact and Infinity Pro both adopt the same replaceable thumbstick design found on Scuf’s more recent Xbox controllers so sticks can be swapped out and customized on the fly. The rings that lock the sticks in place also provide a more lubricated feel over the standard controller and really smooth out any movement along the edges. On that note, the domed sticks that came loaded in my controller felt exceptionally grippy — a huge improvement over the default DualShock 4 thumbstick.

A few smaller but much appreciated design improvements on the Impact include a recessed headphone jack and covered USB connection for longer lasting components and a sturdier feel.

You can watch tutorials on paddle swaps, thumbstick changes, electro-magnetic remapping, and hair trigger adjustments for both the Impact and Infinity Pro controllers over on Scuf Gaming’s official YouTube channel. If you decide to build you’re own, you’ll find an impressive selection of colors and customization options, including new tints on the Scuf Grip and shoulder buttons.

Starting prices for the Scuf Impact and Infinity Pro are within reason, coming in at $139.95USD for the Impact and $129.00USD for the Infinity Pro. A fully-loaded controller from the Spectrum Collection, including remappable paddles and any choice of thumbsticks and grips, is $189.95USD for the Impact and $179.95 for the Infinity Pro.

While I only have positive things to say about the significant improvements made to the Scuf Infinity 4PS Pro, the fit and feel of the Scuf Impact truly is a dream. It is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of game pad design for consoles, combining a more comfortable grip with features that would satisfy any eSports enthusiast or professional gamer. It also just so happens that it’s fully compatible with PC and is a fantastic choice for games that might work better with a controller.

Hats off to Scuf for this one. The Scuf Impact might just be the only controller you’ll ever need. Now fully modular, the Scuf Infinity 4PS Pro is the ultimate solution for PlayStation gamers more comfortable with the traditional DualShock 4 feel.

Check them both out at ScufGaming.com.

Battlefield 1 – DICE Announces Third Standalone Map “Prise de Tahure”

With Battlefield 1 now switching over to monthly updates as of the month of May, DICE has been hard at work trying to bring fresh new content into the game, such as the second post-launch map, Neville Nights.

However, that’s not the only new content being released “soon” as recently DICE revealed that they are planning on releasing yet another standalone map for their WWI shooter. Which according to their “Summer Of Battlefield” outline, it appears that we’re getting yet another map focusing on the recently added French army.

Below you’ll find the details that DICE themselves provided on the upcoming Prise De Tahure map:

“Set in the autumn after the Nivelle Offensive, Prise de Tahure sees French troops desperately holding on to re-captured heights in the Butte-de-Tahure region. The frontline trench networks cut right through several villages facing obliteration from the constant skirmishing between German stormtroopers and French raiders. This is a war of attrition. Adaptability and tactics are the means to wear your adversary down.”

In addition to revealing details of yet another map for Premium Members, those who are currently participating in the Battlefield 1 CTE can play the map before it’s released to the public. For those who can’t and really want to see what DICE has to offer in the near future can get a glimpse of Prise de Tahure via the video provided above.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as the map has an exact release date like Neville Nights which is set to release for Premium members in the month of June. Though, it is plausible that it will release between the release of Neville Nights and the second expansion DLC for the game, In The Name Of The Tsar which will be available “late Summer”.

Speaking of In The Name Of The Tsar expansion which will add the Russian army into the game, more details about the expansion including a first look is set to happen on June 10th during the EA Play 2017 event.

Battlefield 1 is currently available for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Injustice 2 – DLC News Coming Soon According To Ed Boon

Injustice 2 is set to be released in just two weeks. Over the past months we’ve gotten a good glimpse of what the game has to offer, such as the character roster and how the gear system works, and now it seems that we may be getting a look at some post DLC Launch content.

It seems that Injustice 2 DLC news is set to be very announced soon, according the game director Ed Boon  Twitter to post.

While there isn’t an exact time as to when we can expect news for post-launch content for the DCU based fighter, if Boon’s past history is to go by, it’ll most likely arrive a lot sooner rather then later.

Additionally, those who were looking forward to another Watchtower stream to get another in-depth look at the game before it launches you are going to be a bit disappointed as according to Tyler Lansdown, the community specialist over at NetherRealm Studios,  there won’t be one tomorrow.

However, there is a stream set for later this week and given how DLC news for the game is set to be announced soon there’s a chance that upcoming stream will coincide with the DLC news.

Injustice 2 is set to launch May 16th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Battlefield 1 – Spring Update Now Live, Adds Platoons, New Weapon Variants And More

Those who’ve been patiently awaiting on the release of Batltefield 1’s Spring Update, that’s set to add highly requested features as Platoons and more, can now rest easy as today marks the release of the long-awaited update to DICE’s World War 1 shooter.

For those out of the loop and are coming back to Battlefield 1 here’s what you can expect to expect once you’ve downloaded the update that’s now live:

Spring Update Patch Notes

New Features

Platoons – One of the most requested features for Battlefield 1 makes it’s way into the game with the Spring Update that allows friends and like-minded acquaintances to form a Platoon to takeover and conquer the battlefield. Currently the first wave of the Platoon feature is pretty basic as you can assign an Platoon emblem, ranks ranging from the sole General to the Privates and other vanilla features such as joining into games your Platoon mates are currently playing.

Additionally, DICE added a nice little touch to the Platoon feature by making it so when a Platoon occupies all five slots of a squad, the squad’s name is automatically changed to the Platoon’s name. It should be noted that the current Platoon member limit is set to 100.

Medic Revive Intent – Those who’ve played the Medic class can agree nothing is more annoying than dodging death itself to revive a teammate only to have said teammate auto-respawn when your a few inches away from them. Now thanks to the Medic Revive Intent feature making it’s way with the Spring Update, that won’t happen as often. As the Medic only feature will allow people to tag downed teammates to let them know your going to revive them.

Server Administration – Server admins now have the ability to do the following:

  • Server admins can now add other players to a list to give them admin rights to the server.
  • A server can now be set to need lower numbers before pre-round ends (from 20 to 6).
  • We are also adding the ability to use password protected servers.

New Weapons – The level 10 class weapons that you’ve grinded out for are now finally getting variants for them and will also include new assignments in order to unlock them:

  • Hellriegel 1915 Defensive: 300 kills with the Hellriegel factory, 25 kills with AT Mines.
  • Huot Automatic Optical: 300 kills with Huot factory, 25 limpet charge kills.
  • Martini-Henry Sniper: 300 kills with Martini-Henry, 25 bayonet charge kills.
  • Selbstlader 1906 Sniper: 300 kills with Selbstlader, 25 rifle grenade kills.

Ribbons – 19 new ribbons have been added to the game that promote more teamwork. Such as performing tasks such as spotting, reviving, resupplying, repairing, healing, and more.

Dog Tags – Five new Dog Tags to collect in the game which are:

  • Battlefest 2017
  • Answers HQ
  • Sakura & Murata
  • Regimental Stein
  • Play to Give

Those interested in seeing reading about the latest changes to the game that includes improvements to both the load times for maps and netcode, feel free to read the lengthy patch notes here.

With all the new features and bug fixes to be included in the Spring Update, it should also be noted that this will be the final seasonal update for the game. As from now on DICE is moving towards  monthly updates for the game.

Battlefield 1 is currently available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Injustice 2 – Leaked Trailer Accidentally Reveals The Joker, First Look At DarkSeid

With the final main roster spot set to be revealed this upcoming Friday, which thanks to the leaked achievements for the game revealed it to be none other than The Joker, yet another leak was spotted this time showing off The Joker’s new design along with a look at DarkSied gameplay.

As very recently, it appears that a leaked video made it’s way onto the internet that gave us the very first look at the character model for The Joker. You can check them out below:

To accompany the leaked images of The Joker, there’s was also a video of said character being played. Unfortunately, it seems to have been taken down as of this writing. Thankfully, the video  in question didn’t really show much as it seemed The Joker was played by a bot who did very little during the fight and was more of a punching bag for the other player. However, from the brief look of the pulled video, it seemed The Joker retained some of his moves from the first game.

Additionally, The Joker isn’t the only character we get a first look at as well. As it also appears we get our first glimpse at Darkseid as someone managed to upload his super in it’s entirety. Check it out above.

Injustice 2 is set to be released May 16th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
