Gran Turismo 7 Upcoming Updates Announced, Polyphony to Give 1M Cr to Affected Gamers & Plans for Cars to Be Sellable

While Gran Turismo 7 was released just this month, the game has already encountered major technical issues alongside irking the community to recent changes made. After patch 1.07 was deployed, GT7 couldn’t connect online, which was a major issue given the majority of the game couldn’t be played without connecting to the internet. This resulted in the game being literally unplayable for over an entire day. It got so bad that Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi had to issue an apology to the GT7 community.

Now, the studio has issued another announcement, which I think will be much more appreciated by its player base. Yamauchi has announced that players affected by the issues (outage) will be granted a “non-paid credit pack of 1 million Cr” which will hit player accounts shortly.

Here’s the requirement in order to be eligible for the credit pack:

*Limit 1 per person. Must own a digital or physical copy of GT7 for PS4 or PS5 prior to the publication of this post (Friday, 25 March at 1:00am PST) and log into Gran Turismo 7 between Friday, March 25 at 5:00pm JST/8:00am GMT/ 1:00am PDT and Monday, April 25 at 5:00pm JST/8:00am GMT/ 1:00am PDT to receive the free credit pack.

In addition to the credit pack, Polyphony has also announced some of the Gran Turismo 7 upcoming updates planned, with some of the changes and improvements outlined.

Gran Turismo 7 Upcoming Updates:

The major patch is intended for “beginning of April,” and here’s the message from Polyphony about it:

To improve the player experience, we will be rolling out a considerable patch in the beginning of April. The number of events will be increased, and we will reestablish the reward system with greater balance throughout the game to benefit all players.

Updates which will come into effect beginning of April:

  • Increase rewards in the events in the latter half of the World Circuits by approximately 100% on average.
  • Addition of high rewards for clearing the Circuit Experience in all Gold/All Bronze results.
  • Increase of rewards in Online Races.
  • Include a total of eight new one-hour Endurance Race events to Missions. These will also have higher reward settings.
  • Increase the upper limit of non-paid credits in player wallets from 20M Cr. to 100M Cr.
  • Increase the quantity of Used and Legend cars on offer at any given time.

Outside of this major patch in the beginning of April, there will be “a few additional patches deployed between now and the end of April,” which will add new cars, tracks and fixes.

Finally, Polyphony has also laid out some of the near-term updates they are working on, though there are no specific dates or specifics yet, but the studio is planning on making cars sellable (finally)! Here’s an overview of the changes planned:

  • Increase the payout value of limited time rewards as we develop as a live service.
  • Further World Circuit event additions.
  • Addition of Endurance Races to Missions including 24-hour races.
  • Ranking battles in Online Time Trials will be made more advantageous with rewards. earned based on achieving a time that is within +1%, +2%, +3%, and +5% of top time.
  • Make it so cars can be sold.

Hopefully, this is the start of the game’s u-turn into a more positive vibe for its community. Once we know more details, we’ll let our readers know.

Solid Snake Actor Oscar Isaac “Searching” for Metal Gear Solid Movie Story

It’s been a while since we have had an update on the Metal Gear Solid movie, but Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: Rogue One, Moon Knight) has mentioned the film is still being made. The filmmakers are still working on the story.

Oscar Isaac was cast as Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid movie back in 2020, but no new development has been mentioned about the film so far. However, Oscar Isaac gave a small update on the film’s development during an interview with IGN. You can read his comments posted down below.

“We’re searching, we’re searching like Solid Snake. We’re climbing through air ducts, we’re looking for the story”

So far only Oscar Isaac has been cast in the movie which is being directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong Skull Island). Other than these two names, no other developments have been made about the film. Hopefully the film does not end up in limbo like Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell movie starring Tom Hardy.

The last proper Metal Gear Solid game to come out was Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in 2015. Konami released an ill-received spin-off called Metal Gear Survive in 2018.

Roccat Kone XP Gaming Mouse Review – Heavyweight Bling

The Roccat Kone XP is ROCCAT’s latest gaming mouse featuring the brand’s iconic Kone shape, loads of RGB, and an absurd amount of programmable buttons. An updated version of the Roccat AIMO Remastered, the Kone XP now features even more buttons than its predecessor, updated ergonomics, a new 19K DPI sensor, and Nvidia Reflex support. All of this is done in a package that weighs 20% less than the original.

The Basics:

The Roccat Kone XP is an ergonomic gaming mouse with a total of 15 physical buttons and inputs across the entire mouse. In addition to the usual left, right, and middle click buttons, there are seven buttons on the left side of the mouse. The scroll wheel can also be tilted left and right for input, in addition to the usual middle click. Finally, the “Smart Shift” feature built into the Roccat Swarm software also allows you to program two different inputs per button and freely swap between the two at the press of a button.

Also included is Roccat’s new “3D RGB” feature. The mouse has a transparent upper shell, which in combination with the 22 RGB LEDs basically makes it look like the entire mouse is glowing from the inside.  It comes in both black and white color options and the transparent shell is included on both. If you’re a fan of RGB bling, this mouse will be right up your alley.

The Specs:

Dimensions 126 x 72 x 40 mm
Grip width 59 mm
Weight 104 g
Number of buttons 15 (29 with EasyShift+)
Nvidia Reflex Compatible

The Feel:

So how does it feel? My immediate impression was that this is a mouse that seems geared more towards MOBA players, MMO players, or fans of games with a lot of inventory management. Really, it could work for any game or application where you want to program many different actions to a single button press thanks to the numerous inputs available. Honestly, I could see this being great for photo or video editing, too.

Unfortunately, if you’re a fan of lightweight mice this probably isn’t the mouse for you — particularly if you play a lot of first-person shooters. In an age where most mouse manufacturers are trying to get their mice lighter and lighter, the Kone XP almost feels like a throwback to the early 2010s. If weight isn’t an issue for you though, the Kone XP offers a lot of other nice features.

It is also quite a large mouse. The dimensions out of the box are 128 x 72 x 40 mm, with a grip width of 59mm. This makes claw grip difficult even for my slightly above average size hands. With that said, the curves on the mouse feel just right and the ergonomics overall are great. If you’re a fan of larger mice, Roccat has done an excellent job with the feel of this one.

With all of those caveats out of the way, the mouse itself checks pretty much all of the other boxes. At $89.99, no wireless capability is a bit disappointing, but the included cable feels premium and should cause no issues. The Titan Optical Switches feel nice and tactile, and the large PTFE skates feel smooth as butter. There’s even an extra set of skates included in the box. The scroll wheel feels particularly excellent, and although the mouse is a bit on the hefty side, the numerous input options will give you plenty of customization options.

There’s a smooth coating across the entire mouse with some nice matte texture specifically on the buttons. Even though there are a lot of buttons, for the most part the positioning of them feels surprisingly natural and I had no issues accessing any of them. Perhaps the one exception is the “Smart Shift” button positioned on the left at the very bottom. This is used to access another “layer” of inputs for a total of two per mouse button. It’s meant to be held down while you hit a different button to access its secondary input, but with its positioning it’s pretty much impossible to use with any of the the four thumb buttons. They probably would have been better off putting this button a little higher up on the left, or perhaps even placing it on the right which is completely free of any buttons as is.

Overall, while they definitely take some getting used to, there’s no denying the added convenience that such a large increase in mouse inputs offers you. The biggest adjustment I had to make was that there are four buttons where your thumb sits instead of the usual two.

I tried the Kone XP in Aim Lab, Destiny 2, and Call of Duty: Vanguard and it felt comfortable to use in all three. But since I’ve grown accustomed to lightweight mice, the hefty weight led to wrist and forearm fatigue a bit faster than usual. Outside of that, the mouse felt responsive and there were no issues with the performance.

The Design:

My review sample came in white. It has a a two-tone “panda” design with white plastic around the sides of the mouse and black on the scroll wheel and all of the buttons. The entire upper shell of the mouse is semi-transparent which helps to enhance the RGB lighting. The Roccat logo and emblem are also included on top. While the white colorway doesn’t look bad, personally I would have preferred the black version.  With that said, the Kone XP really shines when it’s plugged in.

If you’re a fan of RGB then there’s no denying the mouse looks stunning. The lighting is bright and vibrant and fills up practically the entire mouse, especially in the Arctic White version. Even the scroll wheel lights up. And thankfully, even though they make liberal use of it, it doesn’t look too obnoxious or “gamery.” The Kone XP should fit right into any setup

The 3D RGB system allows for detailed lighting effects that radiate from the inside. While the Roccat SWARM software is a little light on RGB presets, it does allow for a good amount of customization. Each lighting zone can be tweaked separately when set to the “Breathing”, “Blinking”, and “Steady” presets. It also includes the ‘AIMO Intelligent Lighting System’ which reacts to your movements and is “enriched” by the apps and devices you use.

The mouse’s smooth coating can get a little slick, so if you have sweaty hands this could be a bit of a problem. A little bit of texture would have been nice in my opinion but that comes down to personal preference. On the bright side, after many hours of use, fingerprints and smudges didn’t seem to be a problem.

Verdict:

The Roccat Kone XP is pretty much the dream mouse for lovers of RGB. However, at 104 grams, the hefty weight may be a dealbreaker for some and at $89.99 there are certainly other options out there. For the price though, you’re getting an endless amount of customization, and over two dozen keybinds which can do wonders for productivity and macros. The lighting is some of the best I’ve seen and that, combined with the comfortable ergonomics make for a mouse that looks and feels premium. Roccat’s high end sensor and optical switches should lead to great performance, and overall make for a high quality gaming mouse.

The Roccat Kone XP gaming mouse will be released on March 29 for $89.99. You can check it out and pre-order at Roccat’s official website.

Pros:

  • RGB application on the mouse is some of the best we’ve seen.
  • Comfortable and feels premium.
  • Large amount of buttons and endless customization.
  • Optical switches and general performance is great.

Cons:

  • May be a bit big for those who play first-person shooters. The added weight is noticeable compared to other gaming mice, though our own staff member James recommends the Kone Pro as an excellent alternative.
  • Hardwired only, no wireless prebaked. Depending on what you are looking for, you may find a mouse comparable in pricing with that functionality.

Kone XP was provided by the publisher for review purposes. You can read SP1st and MP1st’s review and scoring policy right here.

Don’t Starve Together Update 2.39 Fritters Out This March 24 for Improvements

Klei has released the Don’t Starve Together update 2.39 patch, which the studio calls the March Quality of Life update. This brings improvements to crafting, and ton of other improvements. There are also new skin collections available as well, which are all outlined in the Don’t Starve Together March 24 patch notes below.

Don’t Starve Together Update 2.39 Patch Notes | Don’t Starve Together March 24 Patch Notes:

Hey everybody!

The March Quality of Life update is now live for all players! Once again, a huge thanks to everybody that joined us on the beta branch and sent in feedback and suggestions. That feedback directly helped influence and improve the final design of the new crafting menu.

There are still a few things that will be added throughout the next week(s). These include: Adding pages for the pinned recipe bar and changing them to be stored on the profile instead of per world, a system to support crafting refined ingredients directly from the currently selected recipe, optimizations, and mod support for adding new filters.

Crafting Menu Changes:

  • Recipes are now organized in filters, logical groups of items that fulfill a role.
  • Recipes can be pinned to the right hand side of the menu for easy access while the crafting menu is closed.
  • Recipes can be added to a favorites list by clicking the star icon next to the recipe’s name.
  • Search by localized name.
  • The size of the crafting menu can be scaled separately from the rest of the HUD.
  • Players can now move and rotate their camera while the menu is open.
  • You can now craft with items inside chests.
  • Crafting Auto Pause can be enabled in the Options screen.
  • Added the setting ‘Crafting Auto-Close’ to enable or disable closing of the crafting menu when pre-crafting placeable structures. When the build button is labelled ‘Place’ the crafting menu will still close regardless of the setting. This can be found in the Advanced settings page.

Note about the crafting menu changes.

We are very aware that this is a drastic change however, moving away from the old menu allows us more freedom when adding craftable items. For example, the Tackle Receptacle and Terra Firma Tamper were only added because we did not want to add a dozen recipes into the survival and structures tab. With the new approach, this is no longer an issue. The Tackle Receptacle and Terra Firma Tamper have been changed to research stations, like the Science Machine, where you will be able to prototype the recipes, learning them forever.

We know that change can be difficult for some players. Please give the new menu a chance, consider the above information and let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions over on the official forums.

Wolfgang Changes:

  • Added the Marbell, a dumbbell made of marble. These are very heavy, but much more effective and durable than Golden Dumbbells.
  • Improved the efficiency, durability and ingredient cost for all dumbbells.
  • Mighty Wolfgang can now perform a melee attacks with Dumbbells.
  • Adjusted the damage dealt by Dumbbells.
  • Dumbbells now gain Wolfgang’s mightiness bonus when thrown.
  • Adjusted the Dumbbell durability cost when lifting, attacking, and throwing.
  • Improved efficiency of the Mighty Gym.
  • Mighty Wolfgang now retains full movement speed while holding any heavy items.
  • Increased the top rowing speed when Wolfgang is Mighty.
  • The ambient mightiness drain rate has been adjusted.
  • Running with dumbbells equipped or raising an anchor will now pause the mightiness drain.
  • Wolfgang now gains a small amount of mightiness while chopping, mining, tilling, raising sails, rowing, etc.
  • Wolfgang now gains mightiness while attacking, based on the type of target.
  • Wimpy Wolfgang now does 25% less ‘work’ when chopping, mining and hammering, but also does 25% less wear on tools.
  • Wimpy Wolfgang now has a 25% slower hunger drain.
  • Wimpy Wolfgang no longer takes 25% more damage.
  • Adjusted the Wimpy and Mighty form insulation values.
  • Mighty Wolfgang now has an easier time saying warm and a harder time saying cool, while Wimpy Wolfgang is the opposite.
  • Fixed a bug where his movement speed was not being calculated correctly while hoping onto boats while mighty or wimpy.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Wolfgang’s mightiness to reset to 50 if you went to the caves with full mightiness.
  • Fixed a bug where Wolfgang continued lifting weights after unequipping a dumbbell.

Other Changes:

  • Ancient Guardian is a new fight. This is not intended to be a hard boss fight, but to be more fun than the previous version.
  • Ancient Guardian’s loot table revised, better reflecting the biome and that you have to kill the Ancient Fuelweaver in order to fight it again.
  • Deerclop’s attack area more accurately reflects the fx.
  • Hound waves and Depths worm waves frequency has been adjusted to reduce their frequency after the first year.
  • Late hound waves replace 5 hounds onto a Varglet, the smaller cousin to the Varg.
  • Tips and lore have been added to the loading screen.
  • The Options screen now has descriptions for each of the settings.
  • Roads can now be disabled in the world generation settings (on or off).
  • Fire and Ice Hounds can now be toggled in the world settings.
  • Multiple world events (Winters Feast, Year of the Carrat, Midsummer Cawnival, ect) can now be enabled at the same time, you can find these new settings in the world settings menu.
  • The Stagehand and Shadow Hands (the campfire stealing hands) no longer trigger spider creep.
  • Kitcoons will no longer reset their hiding spots when the YOT Catcoon event is turned off and back on. Any Kitcoons that are missing from the world will be respawned.
  • Fixed a bug causing bearger to sometimes not spawn.

Prototyping and Blueprints:

  • Wax paper, beeswax, and marble beans are now prototyped with the Alchemy Engine.
  • Turfs crafted from the Terra Firma Tamper are now prototyped so you do not need to return to the Terra Firma Tamper every time you want to craft one.
  • Lures, floats, and bobbers crafted from the Tackle Receptacle are now prototyped so you do not need to return to the Tackle Receptacle every time you want to craft one.
  • Adverts are now learnable like Blue Prints and are no longer placed inside a Tackle Receptacle.
  • Birds no longer drop Adverts.
  • The Waterfowl Can, Feather Weave, and Winged Sail Kit no longer require a blueprint drop from the Malbatross.
  • The Boat Patch, Oar, and Driftwood Oar no longer require the Think Tank to prototype.
  • Survivors other than Wurt, can now craft Marsh Turf through the Terra Firma Tamper.
  • Increased the chance of getting the Desert Goggles Blueprint in the oasis lake’s Crumpled Packages.
  • Removed Fashion Goggles and Potted Succulent Blueprints from the oasis lake’s Crumpled Packages. They can now be prototyped using an Alchemy Engine.

Items:

  • Adjusted the repair value of Logs from an eighth of the Boards’ value to a quarter. This improves repairing with Logs, Driftwood, and Living Logs.
  • Doubled the Cookie Cutter Shell drop rate.
  • Reduced the fuel value of all turfs.
  • Turfs stack was increased from 10 to 20.
  • Seeds will now last twice as long while in the Seed Pack-It.
  • Desert Goggles now provide a small amount of protection from overheating.
  • Kitschy Idols no longer spoil.
  • Increased the Malbatross Beak’s uses to reflect that it is a boss drop.

Recipes:

  • Reduced the cost of Boat Patches. The boat repair value has been adjusted to reflect the new cost.
  • The recipes for Mud Turf and Cobblestones no longer include other turfs.
  • Reduced the cost of the Clean Sweeper and Seawreath.
  • Reduced the cost of Potted Ferns and Potted Succulents.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug causing beeboxes to not grow honey when unloaded if they were unloaded in winter.
  • Fixed a bug that made Farm Soil prevent Toadstool from spawning Sporecaps.
  • Fixed a rare crash when pausing the game.
  • Added fx when the Bird Cage is destroyed.

The Serpentine Storm Eater skin for the Lightning Conductor has been added to the streaming drops Nautical Collection. For a list of participating streamers, please see the official post here.

Lastly, Klei said that there is big news incoming which will be shared in the next couple of weeks. Also, while the dev team has been working on putting the final touches in the crafting menu changes, the rest of the studio has been hard at work on the next two updates, with one of those said updates being the next character refresh!

Check out Klei’s forums for a litte spoiler. For Xbox gamers, the patch isn’t out yet and has been delayed until tomorrow (most likely). But at least you know the changes right now.

Overwatch 2 Ping System and How Tagging Enemies, Asking for Help Outlined

Possibly one of the best new features to come in Overwatch 2 is a new ping system that games like Apex Legends, Call of Duty Warzone, and other multiplayer games have been using the past few years. Blizzard Entertainment has gone a lot more in-depth with how the Overwatch 2 ping system works today, and it looks like it’ll be more than just your standard pointer tool.

According to Blizzard, they wanted to create a system that would provide alternative ways to share information with the team outside of using voice comms. Systems Designer Gavin Winter states, “One of our goals was to augment speech and give people a way to visually interpret voice communication. We also wanted to support all voices and create a system to communicate for players that would prefer to avoid voice chat.”

With the press of a button, players will activate a contextual ping depending on what you’re aiming at within your line of sight. One example given was, if you’re playing Tracer and you ping an enemy Reaper, your teammates will hear Tracer call out Reaper’s location. Speaking of Reaper, given he can phase out or just teleport with Wraith Form and Shadow Step, Blizzard made it so that you ping a Reaper who’s in your line of sight, the hero you’re playing will call out his location. However, once line of sight is broken, your ping will show his last known location.

Per Winter, “A ping can be ‘stuck’ to a hero while they are visible, and the ping shows the last known location when they aren’t visible.”  The ping changes depending on hero abilities. Sombra’s Translocator, Doomfist’s Meteor Strike, Moira’s Fade, and Tracer’s Recall are all examples of abilities that will cause the ping to fall off.

Outside of alerting your teammates to enemy locations, there are more features for the ping ssytem. Holding it down will open a wheel that allows you to tell your teammates if you’re attacking, defending, need help and more. There’s also a unique set of interactions for responding to a teammate’s ping as well. Using the communication wheel, you can tell teammates to “Group Up” or “I need healing,” but this time, you will activate a ping on top of your hero, and your teammates can respond to your ping to let you know if they’re with you or where you can group up with your team’s Support heroes.

Blizzard says they want to create an “evolving system” that’s the right fit for the gameplay and culture of Overwatch, and one that will help the toxicity in-game. Say, for example, one player is pinging too much, you have the option to turn the Overwatch 2 ping system off through block or squelch for that specific player.

The ping system is a work in progress and as such, expect things to change and evolve over time. That said, this is definitely a step in the right direction for the sequel, since not everyone wants or can use voice comms in a match.

Hunt Showdown Traitor’s Moon Event Is Now Live, Tasks and Rewards Revealed

The Hunt Showdown Traitor’s Moon event is now live across all platforms, and along with it comes new tasks and rewards for all the players who want to take them; and there are some juicy ones, of course! Check out the rundown on this newest event for Hunt Showdown below.

Here’s what’s awaiting Hunters in Traitor’s Moon, the latest event for Hunt Showdown:

Every full moon, her immortal light would fall on New Orleans, and the crickets and fireflies would dance in the spotlight. But just as the Moon has dictated the turn of tides for millennia, the Sculptor began to dictate the Moon’s influence on Earth. The Moon’s light cast a spotlight onto people whose hearts were already starting to become twisted by the Sculptor. Mother caused harm to child, brother betrayed brother, and others let their minds wander into madness and desperation. Those who knew the power of both the Sculptor and the Moon began to plot and use the twisting of people’s hearts to their advantage.

Hunters, we sit between the passing of the Worm Moon and the rise of the Pink Moon. And down on the killing fields of Louisiana, the changing of the seasons from winter to spring sees a new rising darkness. Effigies, rifts, and strange clues are brought forth across the bayou under the influence of a Traitor’s Moon, along with story and secrets about My Chary’s ambitions for manipulating the corruption… But at this time of year, hope springs eternal too, and light can be found in the bountiful rewards on offer for those Hunters ready to face and conquer new challenges during the 21 days of The Traitor’s Moon Event.

Yes, our first event of 2022 goes live on March 24th and runs until April 14 th. And to mark the occasion, we have also released a new DLC pack, The Meridian Turncoat, including a new Legendary Hunter, The Turncoat, two Legendary weapons, and a Legendary Ammo Box.

The event gives you the chance to unlock four new weapons which are currently in Early Access – the Scottfield Brawler, Berthier Riposte, Caldwell Model 92 New Army, and Winfield Model 93 Slate – plus new Legendary Skins for weapons and equipment. For those who unlocked the weapon during the event the weapon will remain unlocked after the full release regardless of their Bloodline level. If the player prestiges after the full release, they will need to unlock the weapon from the Bloodline as usual. If the player prestiges during the early-access period, the weapon should remain unlocked. For those who didn’t unlock the four weapons in Early Access, they won’t be made available until the next update, so now’s a great time to play and slay with these guns first.

In order to collect all the rewards offered, you have to obtain 10,000 points by completing the following tasks:

  • • Destroying Small Orwellian Effigies – 4 Event Points
  • • Destroying Large Orwellian Effigies – 8 Event Points
  • • Investigating Clues and Rifts – 12 Event Points
  • • Destroying Effigies dropped by bosses – 4 Event Points for each Effigy dropped
  • • Loot Hunter Corpses – 20 Event Points
  • • Extract with one bounty – 30 Event Points

Crytek also mentioned some ways to help you boost your progress through the event:

If you have a Chary’s Contract active, you can earn a 50% Event Point booster plus an extra 20 meters Dark Sight boost.

Play with a Hunter who has The Signee Trait active – an event-only trait- and you will receive a further 10% Event Point booster, and your Dark Sight will increase by 3 meters.

Selected Legendary Hunters are boosted to accelerate your progress through the event. You’ll receive a 10% Event Point booster and a further 3-meter Dark Vision boost by playing as the following: The Turncoat, Kid, The Rat , Llorona’s Heir

Boosters of different types are stackable for the duration of the event. For instance, if you have purchased Chary’s Contract and play with one of the above Legendary Hunters with The Signee Trait activated, you can earn the maximum possible boost in the bayou.

With the prospect of overcoming these tasks come some very special rewards, all of which you can check out listed below:

Rewards

2-Hour Booster Contract and 100 Blood Bonds

Event Points Required

300

Scottfield Brawler 1000
Berthier Riposte 1500

Caldwell Model 92 Legendary Skin – Ochenkov’s Heart 8000
CA: Winfield 93 Slug 9000
Winfield Model 93 Legendary Skin – Somnus 10,000

If you earn all 10,000 points and make a clean sweep of the rewards on offer, keep on playing and additional Event Points earned will be turned into Hunt dollars after the event is over.

With the launch of this new event is also another DLC called The Meridian Turncoat. This pack includes”Turncoat,” a new Legendary Hunter who was sent to war but found himself falsely accused of being a traitor after being the sole survivor of an ambush. Cast out from his former life as a soldier, and with his mind set on revenge, he headed to Louisiana to join the American Hunter’s Association. The new DLC Pack also includes two Legendary Weapons, a pair of Dolch 96 pistols named Crossfire and Ambush, plus a new Legendary Ammo Crate – Red Cask. This new DLC is available now on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation stores for $9.99.

Players will have now until April 14 to try and gun for all these great rewards in Hunt Showdown Traitor’s Moon, so be sure to try for them if you’re interested. In case you missed it, Crytek also dropped a patch on consoles earlier that addressed some sensitivity issues, and you can read the full patch notes here.

COD Mobile Season 3 Radical Raid Trailer Revealed, Coming This March 31

Vanguard and Warzone are not the only games receiving tons of new content this month, as the COD Mobile Season 3 Radical Raid trailer has just dropped, with this new season coming March 31! As already revealed a few days ago, Snoop Dogg is front and center for this new season of the game, and you can check him out and Season 3 in action via the new trailer below.

https://youtu.be/k5wk6U-Jop0

Here’s everything in store for players for Season 3 Radical Raid of COD Mobile:

Compete in Style with the Radical Raid Battle Pass

Battle Pass Free Tiers

Get the new Reactor Core Operator Skill at Tier 14, allowing you to heat up nearby enemies with persistent radiation damage. At Tier 21, unlock the new MAC-10. This fast-firing, highly maneuverable SMG is perfect for pushing objectives and winning skirmishes in close-quarters combat, where it shines best. Other free items include a variety of camos, Weapon Blueprints, and the Cultural Export Calling Card at Tier 50.

Premium Pass Tiers

Purchase the Battle Pass for the chance to earn all of the content available in the Radical Raid stream, including a cast of ’80s-themed Operators like Killgore, Gunzo — Clownpin, Park — Glam, and American Bulldog — Chrome Dome. Equip them with new Weapon Blueprints like the HBRa3 — Jaguar 3000, MAC-10 — Banana Blaster, and the Kilo 141 — Hair Metal.

Multiplayer Brings Miami Strike

Miami Strike

The perfect map to match Season 3’s retro theme, Miami Strike was first introduced in Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War as a variation of the larger Miami map. In Miami Strike, the field is more tightly focused to encourage plentiful close-quarters engagements in and around the hotels and parking garage. With cover options everywhere, you can easily switch between offense and defense in a snap, so long as you’re aware of the enemy’s position.

Training Ground 2.0

Season 3 adds new functionality to your time at the Practice Range, including more customized training content and weapon data. You can utilize the new Command Panel to customize parameters of the training ground, as well as support target practice by spawning training AI soldiers and customizing their distance, movement speed, interactions, and direction.

You can also keep an eye on their performance with the Player Data Panel, which tracks hit rate, damage dealt, destruction time, and more. There’s also a new Weapon Trial feature which allows you to exchange weapons and attachments directly through the UI. With the ever-growing armory, this makes it easier and faster to swap between your guns.

New Multiplayer Optimizations

Expect some quality-of-life changes as well, including better UI performance of in-game scoring and an in-game HUD toggle, allowing you to customize the perspective of the bottom HUD. Season 3 also adds changes to Medals and in-game Medal effects, and provides players with the ability to inspect their weapons on the move.

New Attachments: GRU Combo Grip

Following after the HBRa3 – Thunderbolt Sling new attachment last season, in Season 3 we have one more new attachment coming for a fan-favorite weapon. Made exclusively for the AK-47, the new GRU Combo Grip attachment provides a combined barrel and grip for excellent recoil control.

New Themed Event: A Soldier’s Choice

New Seasonal Challenges

Season 3 offers a fresh set of Season Challenges, too. Complete the tasks to earn rewards like new Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, and up to 30,000 Battle Pass XP to move swiftly through the tiers. Expect some unique high-quality rewards through specific challenges, like the BR Heat challenge coming mid-April that rewards the Epic Swordfish — Mechanical God. This is also the way to get your hands on that new AK-47 attachment through the Popular Arms Only challenge launching early April.

Easter Battle Royale Event, Trap Master Update

Get Rewards in the Easter Battle Royale Event

Get into the holiday spirit with the Season 3 with new events in Battle Royale and Multiplayer.

In Battle Royale, hunt down destructible Easter Eggs that can be blasted for rewards. Visit the holiday vending machine to exchange your goods and purchase the resurrection beacon from the rabbit NPC to bring a teammate back into the fight. Acquire Battery – Fresh and several BR specific camos by completing the I Am The Egg Man featured event tied to this.

In Multiplayer, Easter Prop Hunt returns along with the Eggs in a Basket featured event accompanying it. Turn into eggs and other Easter props and outwit the competition to earn new camos like the Arctic .50 — Fresh, MW11 — Fresh, and the Smoke Grenade — Groove Lens.

Trap Master

The Trap Master’s Electric Trip Wire ability is seeing a rework in Season 3. Instead of the triggering range being displayed as a straight line, it will now display as a sphere. Enemies entering the sphere will first be slowed, and, after being inside the sphere for a period of time, will trigger the explosion, though savvy players can disassemble the trap to prevent triggering it at all.

Store Update: Snoop Dogg and Scylla, a New Mythic Weapon, and More

Two very special Operators are joining the fight, bringing their favorite weaponry with them.

The ultimate closer, Snoop Dogg, makes a special appearance in Season 3, complete with his own Operator Skin and Weapon Blueprint. Dressed to the nines and ready to compete, he wields his trusted SMG RUS-79U — Equalizer, featuring a titanium and carbon frame with diamond inlays and its own Death Effect that transforms players under a magnificent beam of light.

Next, we have Scylla — Light Runner, a Brazilian soldier straight out of an ’80s arcade who’s been around weapons her whole life. After saving the Brazilian president, she was awarded a Mythic AK-47, an experimental weapon made of synthetic diamond that converts physical ammunition into photonic energy. Get both later in April.

Other Store items include Spectre — Leveled Up with their Legendary HVK-30 Weapon Blueprint, Portnova — Fitness Instructor and her custom Legendary AK117, Artery — Jammer with a Legendary take on the MAC-10, and the brand-new Operator Kui Ji with a very deadly Rytec AMR.

COD Mobile Season 3: Radical Raid launches on March 30 at 5 PM PT | 8 PM ET.

PUBG 2022 Roadmap and Dev Plan Revealed, New Map & Balancing Coming Soon

As the game celebrates its 5th Year Anniversary, PUBG Corp. has now revealed the PUBG 2022 roadmap and dev plan, unveiling to players what’s to come for the title this year. Check out the rundown on the dev plan below, as well as the updated roadmap infographic for new content to come in PUBG.

First up is the 2022 roadmap for PUBG:

pubg 2022 roadmap

The developers also explained the meat of the roadmap, letting players know their dev plan for 2022:

Quarter 2 (April – June)

Sanhok Rollback

  • Sanhok will come back in its original form
    • Sanhok is our oldest small map and is still enjoyed by many players
    • Due to its age, it has seen a number of added features and a major revamp
  • Some players like the revamped version but most players want the original Sanhok back
    • We’ve given lots of thought to the long-standing requests and made the decision to revert the map
    • The reverted version is in the last stage of stabilization and will be revealed in the near future
    • With the rollback, many of the added features will be removed but we are deliberating on how we’ll move forward with Sanhok’s original form

New Weapon: 7.62mm Assault Rifle (AR)

  • For weapon variety, we are developing a new 7.62mm weapon
  • 7.62mm weapons have high DPS but are more difficult to control
  • The new 7.62mm weapon in development has a comparably lower DPS but is easier to control, positioned between the Beryl (high damage, difficult to control) and AKM (low damage, easier to control)

Training Mode Improvement

  • Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been working to improve Training Mode
  • In the current Training Mode, players can train their skills with weapons and vehicles.
  • With Free-to-Play, more practical training programs are required.
    • Players will be able to practice PvP combat there
    • Adding Aim/Sound Training Room in the last update was part of the effort
    • 1vs1 training ground will be added where players can fight one-on-one as if they are on the real Battlegrounds
  • QoL updates are also in the pipeline:
    • Fast travel within the training grounds
    • Custom match training mode that allows players to train with friends

Paramo World Sub-update

  • There are some overly advantageous areas in the world, which will be adjusted for balance
  • We constantly improve terrain balance of the Battlegrounds by making adjustments
  • We want to make sure there is distinct gameplay on each map
  • The Paramo sub-update is scheduled for Q2.
    • Sub-updates for existing maps such as Miramar and Taego will follow as well.

QoL Improvement

  • PUBG has inconvenient elements by nature as a realistic Battle Royale rule, such as being unable to use heal and boost items in a vehicle’s driver seat or having to guess the perfect timing of a cooked grenade.
  • Therefore, we want to find places we can reduce inconvenience without affecting core gameplay through systems such as the UI by providing the info players had to learn from experience.

Quarter 3 (July – September)

New Map: Kiki

  • Airboat: A vehicle that specializes in land and sea traversal. Its amazing utility is balanced out by less than ideal cover for passengers.
  • Ascenders: While at special areas on the map, players can use the Ascender to quicky ascend or descend great distances.
  • Additional Features: After releasing Kiki, we will continue to add content exclusive to the map such as new weapons and vehicles

Weapon Mastery Overhaul

  • Increasing Weapon Mastery max level to challenge players
  • Having players show off their achievements through Weapon Nameplates and additional rewards once players reach a certain Mastery level
  • Considering various ways to provide more meaningful stats/records to make progressing a more rewarding experience
  • Refer to the previous “Weapon Mastery Overhaul” announcement for more info.
    • As stated there, we welcome your feedback and ideas on this system! Please let us know what you’d like to see from the Mastery system.

Quarter 4 (October – December)

Vikendi – Reborn

Arcade Mode Overhaul

  • No new mode has been added to Arcade Mode since TDM
  • Developing content simultaneously and running LABS to test modes and features have taken our attention away from Arcade mode
  • In the second half of the year, we plan to overhaul Arcade Mode to add more game types and a new reward system for players who enjoy playing Arcade.

That’s what’s coming to PUBG this year, as revealed in the 2022 roadmap. In case you missed it, check out the details on the 5th Year Anniversary events for PUBG here.

Report: Massive Apex Legends Leak Details Unreleased Legends, Upcoming Seasons, & More

The Apex Legends community are in for a surprise today, as what could possibly be the biggest Apex Legends leak in the game’s history just dropped online! Featuring an array of unreleased Legends, to new cosmetics for Rampart, plus descriptions of new maps and so much more; check out the full rundown on all the details below.

First reported via a thread on the Apex Uncovered subreddit, the bulk of the leak covers upcoming Legends to the game. Usually when you think of a leak, there’d be one or two new stuff to come out; however, this massive one for Apex Legends features nine upcoming Legends, which just goes to show how deep it is.

Just to be on the safe side, there is the possibility that these images will be taken down by EA, so you can check out a full compilation of everything revealed here instead. As you can see, most of these are placeholders, but someone has managed to watch accompanying leaked videos which described the new Legends in detail:

https://imgur.com/a/I2ZI0DA

Leaked legends:

Conduct (support) “Empathic shielder”, abilities: Capacitance (passive) – recharge own shield, recharge faster if allies near, Arc flash (tactical) – heals allied shield via your own, Alternating current (ult) – arc cluster bomb, damages enemy shield, heals Conduct’s shields

Scryer (recon) “Haunting stalker”, abilities: Spectator (passive) – automatic optic-haunt and spectate your killer, Optic-Haun (tactical) – parasite trap which reveals the target’s vision, Shadow wall (ult) – wall of darkness, blocks line of sight and blinds

Caliber (support) “Apex arms dealer”, abilities: Weapon sling (passive) – can carry 3rd weapon, access via inventory or “H”, Suppressor turret (tactical) – makeshift turret base on your active weapon (Note from gameplay: It not really accurate, but it includes CP weapons, was shown use of Volt SMG on it), Auto loader (ult) – deploys ammo box which feeds ammo directly to nearby player’s weapons (gold mag for everyone I guess)

Jester (no icon) “Tricky trapper”, abilities: Rewire (passive) – can turn any nade into prox mine and spawns with a frag, Specter drop (tactical) – droppod with 3 specters on guard position, Cloak field (ult) – short living field which cloaks players inside, cloak disappears in 6 seconds after leaving the area

Phantom (support) “Agile assassin” (Assassins support? Ok I guess), abilities: Double jump (passive) – double jump, duh, Hook shot (tactical) – hook to the wall and hang off it for some time (Titanfall have same ability btw), Brazil Void grenade (ult) – grenade which sends target into the Brazil Void for the short period of time

Vantage (recon) ” Survivalist sniper” (Hawk?), abilities: Sniper kit (passive) – tactical info ADS zoomed unarmed or in long range scopes (legends name, shield level, squad size, distance), Echo launch (tactical) – basically Crypto’s drone, but you can order it to move by tapping Q, Mark to kill (ult) – custom rifle with a scanner and damage boost for a squad, damage doubled for Vantage on successful hits, team gets 15% damage boost on marked targets. Note: We may see her soon, her model is ready, but not polished yet

Uplink (defense) “Satellite survivor”, abilities: Network communion (passive) – “Gain 25% of Recovery Effects used in Signal Range”, Shield satellite (tactical) – release a satellite which follows allies and regenerate their shields and revive (damn, sounds basted), Immortality relay beacon (ult) (Geez, thats a name) – Deploys satellite beacon which prevents allies from being downed in it range (even more basted)

Newcastle (defense) “Mobile defender”, Fortified, abilities: Retrieve the wounded (passive) – you can carry your team mates, literally drag downed teammates as they being revived and protects them with revive shield (Call the police, we found who stole LL’s revive shield), Mobile shield (tactical) – throw controllable drone which creates a moving energy shield, Castle wall (ult) – “Leap and slam to a target ally or area and create a fortified stronghold” (basically jumps to location, slams the ground and go full Fortnite in one direction, creating a barricade). Note: Seems like Newcastle may be next Legends – he most finished out of all leaked roaster (model vise)

Catalyst (defense) “Creative builder”, abilities: Reinforce (passive) – HP of doors and placeable structures (such as Rampart’s A-Cover as well as their own) in close vicinity, Ferro Shot (tactical) – on impact creates a ramp of hardened ferro fluid (reminds me last Pray, they had something like this IIRC), Iron tower (ult) – column of ferro fluid under you

All Upcoming Legends and their abilities
byu/YUSEIRKO inApexUncovered

Besides these upcoming Legends, there are also a couple of more videos that were described in detail, alongside other videos that have yet to be taken down, so watch them while you can.

https://imgur.com/a/YOSRKSy

First video, showcasing new Arena maps:

New arena maps, one seems to be almost finished, another not yet (gray surfaces)

2 out 3 leaked guns shown: Nemesis B-AR and Fanatic energy pistol. Fanatic still uses RE-45 icon and P2020 model, Nemesis have own icon and low poly model

Laser sight was spotted for R-99, takes place of barrel mod

Nemesis burst fire, but can fire full auto after filling some kind of meter (damage perhaps)

Third video, comic:

Chapter 7, I will not spoil anything (plus Chapter 7 alone wouldn’t make any sense anyway)

4th video, Valk and Crypto heirlooms:

Crypto’s heirlooms already old news as we know, so I will nod add any additional comments (unless if I see something interesting). Addition: It does rare melee animation which involves hitting with Hack (Crypto’s drone)

Valk’s, as you may know, is a spear, but it seems not just any speak, but yari (or, at least, inspired) which make sense considering her nickname (Valkyrie, who depicted with a spear) and being half japanese herself

Spears models seems to be pretty raw, but some animations (running and attacking, one inspect) already in place

Crypto (S12) and Valk (S13) Heirloom
by inApexUncovered

Files 5 and 6 are .txt, guess datamined bundles. Ill leave it to our local dataminers to dig, Im sure they find more interesting info than me

Video 7, new map – “Divided moon”

Far from finished, full of grey and orange (yeey, Source trademark) surfaces, some areas look more finished (still need a lot of polishing and work with shadow/light)

Seems like the map have monorail system similar to WE and it train, but monorail (or gondola? No idea, just rail around the map)

Video 8, new emotes:

Ash 3

Newcastle 4 (more evidence that he is next)

The last surviving images in the threads are that of Rampart’s new cosmetics, and you can check out the full gallery over on Imgur:

NEW MAP CHANGE: Kings Canyon | GAMEPLAY:

King’s Canyon map updates. Return of Skull Town,No top on Cage and some choke point improvements.
by inApexUncovered

NEW GAMEMODE: Capture The Flag/Oddball | GAMEPLAY:

New game mode. Has a capture the flag type feel. Has it’s own unique maps. BC_Steve_TTV is a god at it on solo no enemies mode. Fear him!
by inApexUncovered

FIRING RANGE CHALLENGES/INFINITE AMMO | Gameplay:

Firing Range Weapon Challenges
byu/ashkenov inApexUncovered

While most of the images and videos that show these in action are now gone, one mod for the subreddit vouched for it after seeing the video for themselves. However, since this does veer into unconfirmed territory, remember to take everything with a grain of salt until officially confirmed.

Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #14 & Reward (Mar 24 – Mar 31)

Morning Battlefield 2042 players, it’s that time of week again! Yup, there’s a new set of challenges and weekly rewards now live in Battlefield 2042. Here’s all the requirements to unlock the Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #14 (Mar 24 – Mar 31) rewards.

Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #14 (Mar 24 – Mar 31):

How to Complete and Earn Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #14 (Mar 24 – Mar 31) Reward:

  • 10 Enemies Killed with Sidearms
  • 45 Teammates Resupplied with Ammo
  • 10 Logistics or Objective Ribbons Earned

For tips on completing this week’s challenge I recommend playing either conquest or breakthrough. Capturing points will easily nab you objective ribbons, plus with teammates focused on capturing it is also a great time to drop ammo crates to start working on the replenish 45 teammates challenge. As for sidearms, don’t really have a good recommendation, just use a weapon you feel most comfortable with. It’s ten kills, and you might find better luck in one of the portal experiences that are sidearm focused.

Congrats, you should now have earned 15,000XP along with the Battlefield 2042 weekly mission #14 reward, the “Winter Series”, Epic Skin for the LCMG!

Every week on Thursday at 4:00am PT/6:00am CT/7:00am ET the Battlefield 2042 weekly challenges refresh, revealing a new weekly reward. If you are interested in staying up-to-date on when these rewards and weekly challenges drop, be sure to follow MP1st on Twitter, or keep a watchful eye on our guide page for Battlefield 2042.
