Seth is character no.40 in the Street Fighter 5 roster, and if you’re curious how he plays, read up on his V-skills below, as well as watch the below.

Seth V-Skills, V-Trigger and Critical Art:

V-Skill 1 – Tanden Engine

In Street Fighter IV, Seth had already collected data on many strong attacks. In Street Fighter V, Seth’s ability to steal opponent’s moves is taken to a whole new level with V-Skill 1, Tanden Engine. By successfully punishing or catching the opponent off-guard with Tanden Engine’s vacuum-like effect, Seth can steal a special move. From Balrog, it’s Turn Punch. From Chun-Li, it’s Lightning Legs. From Sagat, it’s Tiger Knee. And from who Seth hates the most, it’s Double Knee Press. Each of these stolen moves gives Seth access to something uniquely different, but perhaps due to corrupted memory, Seth can only use it once before needing to steal it again.

V-Skill 2 – Tanden Booster

Rather than stealing, Tanden Booster is all about adding momentum to Seth’s pre-installed specials moves. Tapping this V-Skill 2 will make Seth dash forward from a full screen away. Tapping it again will cancel the dash before it finishes. Inputting one of Seth’s special attacks during the dash will have a variety of effects. The Hecatoncheires rapid punches becomes Hecatoncheires Glide, a move that’s safe on block but leaves the opponent standing and in idle mix-up range on hit. The Cruel Disaster pirouette kick becomes Spin Pendulum, a move that causes a knockdown and can be used for oki. The other advantage of Tanden Booster is that you can combo into it from Seth’s target combo and standing heavy punch.

V-Trigger 1 – Tanden Ignition

In Champion Edition, the glory of the Tanden Engine is unleashed with Tanden Ignition. This three bar V-Trigger unlocks teleporting follow-ups for all four of Seth’s special moves. The Hecatoncheires leads into the Titanomachy gut punch. The Mad Cradle dragon punch transitions into the Mad Spin descending drill. The Cruel Disaster morphs into the Cyclone Disaster crescent kick – leaving the window open for a combo extension. And the Annihilate Sword dive kick shifts seamlessly into the Hell’s Gate upturned palm thrust. But that’s not all. Tanden Ignition is also compatible with many stolen moves. Ken’s Dragon Punch into Mad Spin for 14 hits? Sure you can!

V-Trigger 2 – Tanden Maneuver

Tanden Maneuver turns Seth into a pinball wizard. Upon activation, Seth will summon a large sphere of energy. You can move the sphere in different directions up to four times before the sphere dissipates. The sphere can strike the opponent while moving – with the potential of putting them into a juggle state – or it can be left in place to act as a stationary projectile. Seth can also detonate the sphere early with Tanden Explode. If the opponent is caught by this, they’ll be sent skyward. But if they choose to block, Seth will be left at significant (as high as plus nine) frame advantage. Suffice to say, this two-bar V-Trigger 2 is the more technical of the two and has a lot of set-up potential for players to discover.

Critical Art – Tanden Destruction/Tanden Extreme

Rather than drawing the opponent into the Tanden Engine as in Street Fighter IV, Seth draws them into a large sphere of energy as the Tanden Engine goes into overdrive. In the final moments of Tanden Destruction, the opponent is propelled into the arena wall with significant force. However, if Seth has V-Trigger 1 active, Tanden Destruction becomes Tanden Extreme. This overclocked Critical Art lets us witness the true power of the Tanden Engine as Seth summons a doppelganger to intensify the destructive forces at play. The end result is more damage and a face crushing connection with the fourth wall.

It’s unclear whether Capcom has added in gameplay changes into this massive patch, but once we know official info, we’ll update the post. In the meantime, go check out the latest balance pass changes here.

Borderlands 3 Update Today Brings Broken Hearts Event, Level Cap Increase & More

To help celebrate Valentine’s Day, Gearbox has released a Borderlands 3 update today that also includes tech fixes, gameplay changes and more. According to Gearbox this is a hotfix, and will be applied at the main menu.

Borderlands 3 update today patch notes:

BROKEN HEARTS DAY EVENT

Maurice, your sentient Saurian shipmate on Sanctuary III, is continuing his study of humanity’s customs, and has taken an interest in our strange courting rituals. To help him understand the emotional rollercoaster that is Broken Hearts Day, you’ll need to blast the floating hearts that are popping up over baddies’ heads all over the galaxy. Maurice will reward you with sweet Broken Hearts Day loot for your trouble, including two level 53 weapons: Terminal Polyaimorous and Wedding Invitation!

EVENT TOGGLE

For the Vault Hunter who already has everything, or prefers their gameplay to be more straightforward, you can now disable the Broken Hearts Day Event in the main menu. This highly requested feature will be included for all future seasonal events as well.

SKIPPABLE CUTSCENES

With this patch, you can now skip all cutscenes in the game, whether you’ve seen the cutscene before or not, during solo play or by the host of your party during multiplayer! Simply press any key during the scene and you’ll be prompted to confirm the skip.

LEVEL CAP INCREASED TO 53

The level cap has been increased to 53, providing everyone with 3 more skill points to aim for! We are looking forward to seeing what interesting combinations the community finds with their additional skills and will have more to talk about in the future concerning level cap increases and character growth.

TRUE TAKEDOWN MODE

We’re introducing True Takedown Mode to the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite. As of this patch, there will be a way to re-enable the original version of the Takedown scaled to 4 players. Future Takedowns will also launch with both modes enabled.

The default setting keeps the Takedown scaled depending on how many people are in your party. To turn back on 4-player scaling, toggle the new switch to the right of the Takedown door.

GUARDIAN RANKS

You are now able to turn off individual Guardian Ranks or the whole system! If there are any perks that aren’t playing nice with your builds, you can now disable them! Furthermore, for those who want to enjoy a vanilla leveling experience, you have the ability to disable the entire system. This includes both stat bonuses and all perks.

When the patch goes live, the Guardian Rank system will be turned off by default, giving you a great opportunity to look through your perks to see if there’s anything new you want to try! Note: while the Guardian Rank system is turned off, you will not be able to gain ranks.

STADIA

With this patch, Stadia is now caught up to the other platforms! Stadia players can now access Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot, fight through Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite, and take advantage of the QOL improvements that were included in previous patches.

Someone Has Deepfaked Celebrities Into Mortal Kombat 11

Ever wonder what Mortal Kombat would look like if it had some top-paid celebrities such as The Rock, Keanu Reeves and more? Probably not, but that hasn’t stopped a user from using an AI learning program to create a Deepfake featuring some. Check out the Mortal Kombat 11 deepfake video below for some hilarious Mortal Kombat moments.

Kind of creepy to see this in action truth be told as they obviously look off, though that Rock one doesn’t look bad at all. It’s all in good fun though and we are rather impressed ourselves by the application.
This isn’t the only video that Baby Zone did recently of Deepfake for Mortal Kombat, as the Joker received the same treatment, featuring the various actors that have played him over the years.

On a somewhat related side-note, a Jean-Claude Van Damme video game was actually considered by Midway during the early concept years of Mortal Kombat. The idea was to get a big name star to help with the game’s promotion, though that fell through.

“We wanted to call it Van Damme,” Series Co-creator Ed Boon said to Gameinformer. “We just wanted to see huge letters, ‘Van Damme’ when you walked by. You couldn’t pass that up.”

Fans of the Mortal Kombat series no doubt can draw the similarities between Johnny Cage and Jean-Claude Van Damme as both are/were high profile action movie stars trained in martial arts.

Mortal Kombat 11 is now available for the PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It recently saw the release of it’s latest DLC, the Joker, and will soon release Spawn as it’s final character in the Kombat Pass 1.

Square Enix Announces RPG Shooter Outriders for PS5 and Xbox Series X

Square Enix and People Can Fly have revealed their latest online co-op RPG shooter title called “Outriders” and it will be launching on both current and next-gen consoles.

This announcement comes with a short two and half minute long trailer that gives us a better look at the title’s premise. The trailer states it features gameplay along with a mix of cutscenes, though from watching it, it’s hard to tell where the gameplay actually starts. We also don’t know what platform it is currently running in the trailer.

About the game:

OUTRIDERS is an RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across a hostile planet. With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and deserts in pursuit of a mysterious signal. Combining intense gunplay with violent powers, along with an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, OUTRIDERS offers countless hours of gameplay from one of the finest shooter studios in the industry.

It doesn’t look half bad at all, though we won’t really know how it actually plays until we’ve seen some real gameplay.  We can expect to see that maybe later today as it has been revealed that a live stream will be hosted on Twitch at around 12:00 PM Pacific time. Expect to see both Game Director, Bartek Kmita and Lead Writer, Joshua Rubin discuss the game during the stream and hopefully debut some actual in-game footage.

Outriders is releasing this Holiday 2020 on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).

PS4 Exclusive Nioh 2 Has Gone Gold

Team Ninja is all set to hit their March release date as the studio confirmed today that Nioh 2 has finally wrapped development, reaching its gold release status.

Revealed via Twitter, Team Ninja announced that the PlayStation 4 exclusive, Nioh 2, has finally gone gold, eliminating any possible concern for a delay. The title will officially be available on March 13, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

While going “Gold” does mean that the team has a finished product that is ready to be printed on retail discs, it should be noted that their work on the title isn’t exactly done. Outside of the planned DLC, we can expect from the time now and up until release (and after), Team Ninja will continue to work on polishing out any bugs they may find, along with performance boosts and balancing issues. Chances are, we are in for a sizable day one patch upon release.

Nioh 2 latest trailer:

Nioh 2 will be releasing on March 13th, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. For those who manage to participate and complete either the closed or open beta for Nioh 2, you’ll be receiving “The Mark of the Demon” at launch, which will grant you access to the special Kamaitachi Helmet from the in-game shrine store.

Resident Evil Resistance Maps and Two New Masterminds Revealed

Capcom has announced more details regarding Resident Evil Resistance, which is an asymmetrical horror multiplayer game that’s set in the Resident Evil universe. We got two new Resident Evil Resistance maps, and two new Masterminds revealed today by Capcom!

In case you’re not familiar with what Masterminds are, they are the killers in the game, given it is a 4v1 affair. Announced today are Alex Wesker, and Ozwell Spencer. Each has their own set of abilities that they can use to destroy the other faction.

Alex Wesker:

Fans who recognize Alex Wesker from Resident Evil Revelations 2 might remember she employs a more indirect means to achieve her goals. As a villain who enjoys putting her subjects through psychological horrors and experiments, she makes the perfect Mastermind. Alex’s play style puts an emphasis on using traps, while also manipulating the map to slow Survivors down with roadblocks and enhanced zombies. As if these were not intimidating enough, when Alex gets really serious, she can call upon a vicious carnivorous plant called Yateveo. This stationary bioweapon might not move, but in the right place it’s a powerful obstruction that keeps Survivors from their objective of escaping.

Ozwell Spencer:

Ozwell E. Spencer has been a shadowy antagonist in the Resident Evil series, letting others do his dirty work. As the fourth Mastermind of Resident Evil Resistance, Ozwell is now taking a more hands-on approach. Enjoying his position as one of Umbrella Corporation’s founders, Ozwell uses the company’s cutting edge technology to torment Survivors. Unlike other Masterminds who summon controllable bioweapons (like Alex Wesker’s Yateveo, Annette Birkin’s G-Birkin and Daniel Fabron’s Tyrant), Ozwell instead generates a Disintegration Field that severely damages any Survivor who haplessly passes through it.

There’s also two new maps announced, called Casino and Abandoned Park.

  • Casino: An entertainment facility for thrill seekers… and insidious Masterminds. Its still-operating slot machines and chips strewn across the floor tell the eerie tale of how hastily it was deserted during the collapse of Raccoon City.
  • Abandoned Park: A horror-themed park located on the outskirts of Raccoon City. It too was left abandoned when zombies and bioweapons overran Raccoon City. Now, monsters both real and imagined now patiently await visitors.

Aside from Alex Wesker and Ozwell Spencer, the other known Masterminds are Daniel Fabron, and franchise baddie Annette Birkin.

With Resident Evil 3 Remake getting a free multiplayer mode in Resident Evil Resistance, it seems Capcom might have finally figured out a way to instantly build a playerbase for its upcoming asymmetrical horror action game. Let’s hope the multiplayer game is actually good.

Call of Duty Warzone All but Confirmed via Menu Glitch, Full Map Revealed

Following leak of a certain Call of Duty Warzone which is allegedly what the battle royale portion of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be called, it seems more leaks are out, which further adds credence to the name, and to the mode.

Reddit user ARedWerewolf managed to glitch into the Warzone menu and while you can’t actually play, it does confirm that the mode exists! Not only that but it also mentions “Drop Kits,” which is sort of a custom class for battle royale.

In addition to that, below is the datamined Warzone map, along with an overview of the new map Atlas Superstore which has several points that aren’t explorable in the map currently (via Reddit user Kalinine).

Warzone map:

Altas Superstore:

As user Kalinine notes, ” there are several points of interest that we haven’t explored yet such as the dam in the north-west section of the map, the hospital west of Tavorsk District, the train station west of the hospital and east of Zhokov Boneyard, the TV station (aka Broadcast, also seen in the Season 1 intro cutscene) and the Gulag in the south-east part of the map.”

Our very own staff member James also pointed out that the above image has actually been updated from previous map leaks. In our own version of the map that we supplied back December, we noted that the additional versions that are to the left and right were possible varients. This may still be true as they have added more to them, and even closed off sections when looking at the previous leak.

If you saw the Season 2 new intro video, it shows an airport which it seems is just outside the Atlas Superstore!

Speaking of the Season 2 intro video, Kalinine tries to recreate the overview map shown in that video, which you can see below.

We’re looking forward to more leaks regarding Call of Duty Warzone (or whatever the the Modern Warfare battle royale mode is called) and will report about it as it happens.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost On Roster Grows with Three New Suits

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost On roster is about to get bigger as Bandai Namco has revealed that new suits will be arriving with the PlayStation 4 release.

In a press release by Bandai, the first new suit to join Maxi Boost On roster will be the Zaku Amazing. Here are some details on the suit for those who aren’t familiar with it.

Originally crafted by the “Crimson Comet” himself, Seiho Academy student council president Tatsuya Yuuki, ZAKU AMAZING comes with powerful armaments including rocket launchers, a pair of handguns, shoulder shields, two Heat Nata blades and a long rifle—oh, AND a giant bazooka! Skilled Mobile Suit Gundam pilots can utilize ZAKU AMAZING in battle or foolishly face off against the mecha in 2-on-2 PVP combat.

As for the other two Mobile Suits, the company stated that those will be revealed at a much later date.

Here Are the Known Modern Warfare Update 1.14 Stealth Changes So Far

Back when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch 1.13 dropped, we posted a list of the known stealth changes in that patch. Given that we just got the Season 2 patch yesterday, we’re back with the Modern Warfare update 1.14 stealth changes list, and this one includes more than just gameplay-affecting tweaks.

Modern Warfare update 1.14 stealth changes:

Options, menus, etc.

Weapons and Camouflage

RAM-7: 2 headshots using assault rifles in 25 different matches

Holger 26: 2 long shots using lmgs in 25 different matches

Gameplay

Mind you, I still don’t understand why Infinity Ward doesn’t just list all these down since some of them are good stuff that should be mentioned. Then again, I’m not a dev.

In other Modern Warfare news, go read up on the datamined leak and key art leak for Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode, which we still don’t know when it’ll be out.

Criterion Will be Developing the New Need for Speed Game as EA Continues Restructuring

In the recent news of EA restructuring, it has been revealed that Burnout series developers, Criterion, will be developing a new Need for Speed title for next-gen consoles.

Discussing with Gamesindustry.biz, EA confirmed that Ghost Games will no longer be producing Need for Speed titles, but instead will be re-branded as EA Gothenburg and serve as a engineering hub for a number of titles that EA is currently working on. Employees of their creative team are currently being relocated to new positions throughout the company, and as for the future of Need for Speed it will once again return back to Criterion games. They have developed two Need for Speed titles, but due to downsizing and staff moving to Ghost Games at the time, Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2012 was their last NFS title.

The company notes the reasoning behind this shift was mostly due to the location that the Criterion studio is in as Guildford is one of UK biggest gaming hubs.  Ghost games will remain in their current location of Gothenburg and will still provide a vital role to the company.

” Despite our best efforts to establish an independent development group in Gothenburg over several years, it’s become clear that the breadth of talent we need to maintain a full AAA studio is just not available to us there. Criterion can also provide the consistent leadership that we need to continue creating and delivering new Need for Speed experiences for a long time to come. The EA Spokesperson continued, “With a strong history and passion for racing games and vision for what we can create, the Criterion team is going to take Need for Speed into the next-generation,”

Ghost Games last Need for Speed, Need for Speed: Heat released just last year and overall received a somewhat positive reception. We ourselves noted in our review that while not perfect, it was in the least a step in the right direction. Criterion taking the helms once again could be the push the series needs, though we most likely won’t hear anything around the title for the next couple of years.

Battlefield 5 Squad Conquest Loading Issue Addressed by DICE

With last week’s Battlefield 5 patch, DICE not only introduced the Chapter 6 content, but it also managed to break one of the game’s modes too. Currently, there’s a Battlefield 5 Squad Conquest loading issue, and DICE has addressed it.

For those unaware, the Battlefield 5 Squad Conquest loading issue is a bug wherein the match fails to load, leaving the player on a long loading screen, before they’re kicked back out into the main menu.

Over on the Battlefield 5 subreddit, DICE Community Manager PartWelsh posted a message acknowledging the Squad Conquest loading issue, though there’s no proper fix yet. To make sure players don’t experience this, DICE has opted to remove the following maps from the Squad Conquest rotation.

  •  Fjell
  • Narvik
  • Arras
  • Devastation
  • Hamada
  • Rotterdam

The maps will be available in other game modes, presently, the studio is testing a fix which the studio is expecting to roll out in Battlefield 5 patch 6.2.

Once we know more details about this, we’ll let our readers know.

Fortnite Update 2.56 Released, Here’s What’s in v11.50.1

Following last week’s Fortnite patch, Epic Games has released Fortnite update 2.56 and it’s out on almost all platforms, though Xbox One, and iOS players got it first. This is called the Fortnite v11.50.1 patch, but console gamers will see this as Fortnite update 2.56.

Thankfully, there’s no guesswork here as we know exactly what’s in Fortnite update 2.56 and they are for bug fixes that affect gameplay, though it also adds major stability improvements for Xbox One gamers too.

Here’s what we know based on the Fortnite Status Twitter:

We’ve released patch v11.50.1 on Xbox One and iOS to address stability.

As this patch also contains the fix for Weak Point harvesting hits not always registering, it will be released on PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and Android as well.

As of this writing, PC players have not gotten the Fortnite patch v11.50.1 just yet, but we’re expecting it to be available within the day.

Of course, there’s a chance that this patch includes other gameplay changes, though we can’t be certain since the Trello board hasn’t been given an update. If you spot any changes, let us know via email or comment down below, and we’ll update the post and credit you for the find.

Hopefully, we’ll get a more meatier patch for Fortnite next week once the Chapter 2 Season 2 content is rolled out.

Report: Modern Warfare Battle Royale Called “Call of Duty: Warzone;” Datamined Info Leaks

Rumored to be in existence even before the game itself was released, Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode seems to be called something different entirely.

Over on Reddit, a user who deleted his account posted the following picture of what appears to be key art for something called Call of Duty: Warzone.

According to the user, this was passed on to him by someone, though he deleted that comment as well.

Over on Twitter, reliable Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has dropped a bunch of details and screenshots from datamined info adding to the Warzone rumor (and screen) being legit. This includes classes, a training area/stage called Armistice Training Facility and more.

Don’t forget, yesterday’s patch also brought in a new Season 2 intro that explicitly teases battle royale (watch it here).

We’re honestly expecting a trailer or something to drop soon, though of course, nothing here has been confirmed just yet. We’ve reached out to Activision and will update the post if we hear anything back.

Are you ready to join Call of Duty: Warzone? What do you think Infinity Ward can do to make the Modern Warfare battle royale experience standout? let us know your thoughts down in the comments.

Tekken 7 Update 3.21 Slides Out, Here’s What Got Changed (Update)

Two weeks ago, Bandai Namco released a Tekken 7 patch that while included gameplay changes, didn’t really address the LeRoy Smith issue the community has had since the character launched last year. Today, Tekken 7 update 3.21 has been released, and it seems to have nerfed the character!

Tekken 7 update 3.21 patch notes:

Yes, this patch is just for Leroy! Here are the other known nerfs for LeRoy Smith (via Reddit):

So Leroy’s d1+2 is -4 on block now and does knockdown on CH for a guaranteed hit rather than a launcher. Must check more but I think they are taking the slow tuning route as expected and maybe he will be tuned more in the future.

1, 1, 1+2, 1 – less damage, more pushback, and no wallsplat

d3, 2 – less damage

d1+2 – now -4 on block, seems to be worse on whiff, no longer CH launcher instead a CH knockdown, no longer hits grounded

b1 – 45 damage instead of 50

Hermit 2,1 – now screws much farther than before

f, F2 – less pushback on block

f, F3 – no longer homing, now -2 on block

f, F1+2 – less range, less pushback on block

b2 – parry attack seems to come out slower

Edit:

df 2+3 – less damage from 45 to 35

b1+2 – now -9 on block, less damage, less pushback on block, more pushback on hit, more whiff recovery, still a 12f CH launcher

*Note some of this information could be wrong and just me not remembering things correctly

Hopefully, this helps make the character bearable to fight against.
