Modern Warfare Bypass SBMM – Here’s How to Do It

If you’ve been playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare since launch, and have been keeping tabs on the game via social media, Reddit, and the like, chances are you’ve heard of how Skill Based Matchmaking (SBMM) has apparently ruined the game for everyone. What if we told you there’s a Modern Warfare bypass SBMM method that’s relatively easy to do? Well, it seems there is.

Thanks to Reddit user Herchuk, this Modern Warfare bypass SBMM method is just a quick way to join “noob lobbies” or “noob matches.” Check out how to do it below. And yes, this isn’t reverse boosting or anything like that.

Search for a regular game in whatever mode you want. Example: Hardcore TDM

Join and back out of the pre game lobbies till you find a player with a low(ish) level (anything 60 and below/or your choice).

Play the match normally and after it ends back out of matchmaking.

Go to the ‘Recent Players’ tab and find the low-level account. Wait till the players account says “In pre game lobby” then join their session.

You will be put into a lobby with that accounts SBMM. You will see high levels, but also lower levels.

Play the match normally and look on the leaderboard to see which low-level did the worst. Repeat the process of backing out and joining the sessions. (Note that sometimes it might take some time or you won’t be able to join their sesh for various reasons. If this happens just move on to the next ‘worse’ player).

According to the poster, the first time he did this, it was the “most fun” he had in the game, ad with the 20+ games he’s had after trying this technique, his average kill/death ratio was at a staggering 4.40; all the while experimenting with weird loadouts. He also mentioned how this helped with weapon challenges as well.

For those not familiar with SBMM, it’s a system in place wherein players are put into matches  with similarly-skilled players, which means matches like these will make sure you don’t get to dominate lesser-skilled players all the time. While stuff like these are usually in multiplayer shooters, the latest findings regading SBMM in Modern Warfare show how strict it is, and Infinity Ward has essentially made it so players will get their ass handed to them or meet similar-skilled players after a few matches of doing well.

Note that we don’t know if constantly doing this is a ban-able offense, though we don’t see how joining people will trigger that. That said, do this at your own risk, alright? Also, if you’re having fun as it is now, then don’t feel compelled to do this method.

If you test it out, let us know down below how it works for you and whether you’re in less “sweaty” lobbies often.

Modern Warfare New Game Mode “Drop Zone” Out Tomorrow With Double XP & Double Tier Rate

Just a few days ago, we reported that snowball fights have bee introduced by Infinity Ward in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare via the latest patch. Well, it seems, aside from that, we’ll be getting a Modern Warfare new game mode too! According to Activision, we’ll be getting a brand-new game mode called Drop Zone for multiplayer tomorrow on December 24 at 10 a.m. PT and will be available until December 31 (10 a.m. PT).

In addition to the new game mode, players can expect double XP and double tier rates too! These boosts will also start tomorrow on December 24 at 10 a.m. PT, and will last until December 27 at 10 a.m. PT. After this, players can expect a tier sale for those looking to further progress their Battle Pass.

Objective-minded players, Drop Zone should be a breath of fresh air! Here’s the description for it:

Drop Zone: Drop Zone comes to Modern Warfare with its distinct objective play that rewards players even more than standard game modes for playing the objective. The only way to earn Killstreaks is by continually holding the drop zone to have a Care Package delivered to your location.

There’s also a new cosmetic coming tomorrow too called the “Mad Chemist.” Check out what’s in it below.
Chances are, the changes mentioned above will be via a server-side update. Regardless if it is or not, we’ll let our readers know once it’s live.

Battlefield V New Weapon Set to Become Available Later This Week as Tides of War Reward

Earlier this week, DICE posted a heartfelt holiday message to the Battlefield V community stating that this message will be the final update from the studio before they head on their holiday break, and will be back in January 2020. As part of that message, the studio has also announced that a Battlefield V new weapon will be this week’s Tides of War weekly challenge reward!

Battlefield V players will be able to earn the Typ 97 MG as this week’s Chapter 5 reward! For those keeping score, this means this is the second straight week DICE has made the weekly reward be a weapon (and nope, melee ones don’t really count).

Tides of War will keep rolling throughout the Holiday with the Type 97 MG being available to unlock from next week. If you’re not able to log on and play this Holiday, you’ll be able to pick up the weapon one week after the weekly challenge expires via The Company. If you missed out on the BAR last week, you’ll also see that available for purchase with Company Coin from next Thursday.

Yoou can check out the BAR weapon challenges right here. Once we know more details regarding this week’s Chapter 5 Week 9 challenges, we’ll post that on the site ASAP.

Here’s the rest of DICE’s message to Battlefield V players:

Hi folks,

Just wanted to share a final update for the year before I head off for the Winter Break.

I’m pleased to see that this weeks Hotfix has helped to restore performance levels back to normal for folks on Console, and that we’ve also been able to address the EOR Issues that were introduced in the recent update.

I’ll note that there are still some lingering issues with the EOR system in general that can still cause for the error to occur. This was present prior to the 5.2 Update, but we’ve seen the number of instances return to it’s previous levels, and I’ll restate that if you are encountering the error that your progress and rewards are still being registered in spite of it not displaying. I’m glad that you’re all able to see the improvements that were made to EOR now that it’s working!

Big thanks otherwise for the feedback on the adjustments that were made to the recent balance changes as part of the Hotfix. We’ll be making further adjustments in the new year, details of which I’ll share once they’re locked in, and we’ll continue to monitor and make revisions based on how we see each of the weapons performing throughout all future updates. I’ll also be coming to you all in the new year to solicit some direct feedback on other gameplay systems that we’re considering making changes to based on initial thoughts and designs that we’ve been discussing this month, prior to them entering active development.

Myself and /u/Braddock512 will otherwise be switched off for the break, and we’ll be back from the 5th of January. Should you run into any issues whilst playing Battlefield V, or other EA titles, please know that EA Help will be online with folks available to respond to any account based, or technical issues. The Mod team here have the key links available in the sidebar if you’re ever unsure where to go. We’ll do a final update to our Trello Board tomorrow to keep you up to date on any issues that we’re tracking, and you’ll notice that we have removed the Community Requests column if you frequently check the boards. We changed our policy on how it is that we discuss the content we have in active development at the start of the Pacific to ensure that we’re only focused on talking about the content that’s locked into our next updates, and so this column was destined to set false expectations without us being able to help show where we are in helping to address that, and to new make commitments on what you can expect to see us do in reaction to that feedback. Keep sharing what it is that you want to see changed, added, and improved with the game and we’ll keep ensuring that this is heard here at the Studio.

On behalf of myself, /u/Braddock512, and the team here at DICE, we wish you all a Happy Holidays. Jeff will be back tomorrow with the year’s final Weekly Debrief.

I’ll be heading out someplace Sunny with my Family for a week, and getting back into Stardew Valley and DOTA Underlords with a Cocktail in hand. I’ll be back on the Battlefield with folks before the New Year so if you see me on the Scoreboard (check the lower half), be sure to say Hi!

Happy Holidays!

Enjoy the holidays, Battlefield V players and keep on fragging and capturing objectives!

Rumor: Modern Warfare New Game Modes (Ground War TDM and More) Coming

It’s been a while since we ran any Call of Duty: Modern Warfare rumor, but that changes today. While Infinity Ward introduced a new game mode in the game’s latest patch called Cranked, we’ll be getting more Modern Warfare new game modes soon!

According to reliable Modern Warfare leaker YouTuber TheGamingRevolution, we’ll be getting a Ground War TDM (team deathmatch) version, as well as a n Epic Gungame playlist, which includes “Gunfight base defend,” which he himself doesn’t know what it’s about.

https://twitter.com/TheGamingRevoYT/status/1207412138819670018

If that’s not enough, checking the in-game combat record will show that a hardcore Gunfight mode is on the way too! Twitter user MRH/Pilot managed to take a screenshot of it as well.

https://twitter.com/MRH_PILOT/status/1207417538772176901

Given how fantastic Infinity Ward’s post-launch content support has been for Modern Warfare so far, new game modes for Modern Warfare are a lock for almost every major content update. Of course, treat the Ground War TDM and the Gunfight base defend thing as rumors for now, as Activision nor Infinity Ward has confirmed it.

Those who play Ground War, this will be welcome news as most players treat it as a TDM match and ignore flags anyway. At least this way, you won’t need to pull your hair out in order to have players go after objectives, right?

Speaking of Modern Warfare new game moeds, Infinity Ward introduced a snowball fight in one of the Gunfight maps! Watch it in action here.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer DLC Release Date Revealed

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer DLC release date has finally been revealed by Nintendo today along with some fresh details as to what players can expect next year.

The DLC Packs will be releasing in two parts next year, one on April 30 and the other June 31. As for pricing, both will be available in a bundle for $9.99 with no standalone purchase option. You can read up on the full press release down below, detailing additional content that’ll also be usable in the single-player portion of the game.

Just when Luigi thought it was safe to get a night’s rest, duty beckons as waves of new ghosts and mini-games arrive as paid downloadable content for the Luigi’s Mansion 3 game on the Nintendo Switch system. With two new expansions planned for 2020, there’s never been a better time to gear up for more ghost hunting.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer Pack Part 1 will arrive by April 30, 2020. The DLC includes three new mini-games for the multiplayer ScreamPark mode. It also introduces three new outfits for Luigi with matching floor themes and new themed ghosts in the cooperative ScareScraper mode. And as a special bonus for those who purchase the DLC, players will receive an in-game Polterpup light called the Flashlight Type-P. Players can use this during Story Mode or ScareScraper.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer Pack Part 2 will launch by July 31, 2020, with additional content and features for both ScreamPark and ScareScraper modes. There will be three more new mini-games for ScreamPark mode, as well as three new ScareScraper outfits with matching floor themes and themed ghosts.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. It currently does not have multiplayer support. While we didn’t provide a review for the title, as someone who has played it, I strongly recommend any Nintendo Switch owners to give it a purchase as it is one of the best titles for the Switch to release this year.

Doing This Modern Warfare Snowman Easter Egg Gives You a Carrot for a Nose & Here’s How

While we already posted a pretty cool Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Riley Easter egg players can do on Winter Docks, there’s another one that just got discovered recently. Once again triggered on the Winter Docks Gunfight map, this Modern Warfare snowman Easter egg will give everyone carrot noses! Don’t believe us? Check out the video below for proof!

Spotted by Reddit user HacksAndPAKs, we tested and recreated how to do this Modern Warfare Snowman Easter egg, and managed to successfully pull it off after numerous trial and error attempts.

The short guide on this is: shoot the snowmen (there’s four of ’em) as soon as the countdown timer starts, and if you’re successful, you’ll see that everyone’s character will be rewarded with a carrot nose!

Here’s a quick guide on where each snowman is, and the easiest way to do this:

Modern Warfare snowman carrot nose Easter egg guide:

  • You can do this in a private match (you’ll need to)
  • You’ll need at least three people to pull this off
  • Once the countdown round timer is up, immediately shoot each snowman until its destroyed.
  • Easy method to do this is have one player spawn as The Coalition (this person can easily destroy two snowmen without moving from their spawn point much), and then the two as Allegiance, and having these two pre-aim at the location of the two other snowmen even before the round actually starts.

And there you have it! You’ll know if you pulled it off by the carrot noses suddenly appearing! It’s not gameplay-affecting or anything, but’s a cool Easter egg that’s perfect for the holidays.

If you spot any other Modern Warfare Easter egg, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Modern Warfare Battle Royale Map Leaked via Vacant, Here’s an In-Depth Look

While Infinity Ward has made no confirmation or mention of it, the rumors of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode has surfaced more than once, and it seems this time, we have a Modern Warfare battle royale map leak, even.

Just a few days ago, Infinity Ward released two new maps for multiplayer which were the re-imagining of Vacant and Shipment. It looks like Vacant holds more than new cover and structures, as that multiplayer map also hides the Modern Warfare battle royale map, too. Going into a private match, players can spectate and doing so will grant you a bird’s eye view of the map!

As you can see, there seem to be different variants of the map. We’re not sure if this is simply Infinity Ward not finalizing the design, or something else.

What’s shown below are some of the changes between the three maps, which we believe may indicate different variants for different player counts.  The map on the left is an identical mirror of the left portion of the middle map. We suspected this may be the case for the right side, however, it actually appears that it only mirrors the right top half of the middle section, then it cuts the southern portion and applies the left portion of the middle map instead. You can see what appears to be a mountain on the far right, indicating that this is the cutoff of this version of the map. Check the images below for a better visual, we added a section to the right side in an attempt to “complete” it.

Note that given this is a leak, nothing is 100 percent confirmed just yet. For all we know, this could be a concept part of a new Ground War map or the battle royale map, though given it’s included in the actual file released, that’s highly unlikely.

Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode is rumored to be out early next year, and once we know more, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Thanks for the tip, KingBeezoR!

Marvel’s Avengers Game Prequel Comics Reveals Nick Fury and Many Other Characters

The video game universe of Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avenger is quickly growing as more characters have been revealed to exist within the gameverse via the Marvel’s Avengers game prequel comics.

We reported earlier this year that a line of prequel comic to the game would be released before the game’s launch, and the first issue dubbed “Marvel’s Avengers: Iron Man #1” has finally arrived this month. In the issue, we get introduced to a number of Marvel characters not yet shown off in the game itself, including our first real look at Nick Fury, which you can find below.

As you can see, this version of Nick Fury appears to be a blend of the classic Nick and the new one we see in the films and latest comics. We’ve known about Nick Fury’s involvement for some time now, seeing that he has been referenced by name in many of the gameplay trailers we’ve seen. No confirmation on whether he will be in the game outside of a name drop, though we’d be shocked if he wasn’t.

Amongst Fury reveals, we also get introduced to the Lethal Legion, which were confirmed as the villains during the announcement of the comic.  Amongst them, we also get our first look at Spymaster.

However, what may have gone over many readers’ heads was the introduction of a character working under Bruce Banner’s wing named Monica.

It could just be a coincidence that her name happens to be Monica, but for those who don’t know, her full name is Monica Rappaccini. Depending on which version they do with, the one that does fit is the one that would eventually go on and become the Scientist Supreme of A.I.M., the primary villain organization that the Avengers are up against in the game. She would become fond of Bruce Banner’s work, and eventually work with him while stealing any secrets that she could. Departing from Banner, Monica would join many different terrorist groups and eventually A.I.M where she would quickly rise through the ranks to become its leader.

Of course, we know so little of where the game’s story will take us, so we aren’t sure if it will at all play out like this. We do know that the team is drawing from as much history of the comics that they can, and judging from the first issue it would seem that the Avengers may be heading in some sort of Civil War with S.H.I.E.L.D. themselves as Nick hired Spymaster to steal Stark tech in order to prepare S.H.I.E.L.D. to incase Iron Man or any of the other Avengers were to go rogue. We wouldn’t be surprised if Monica also happens to be a spy employed by S.H.I.E.L.D. in this iteration to keep an eye on Bruce Banner and his research.

Seeing that these are prequel comics, we do in the least expect these characters to play a significant role in setting up the basis of the game’s plot. As to whether we will see them or not in the actual game is left to be seen. At the very least, we would love to see the major characters in the game at one point, especially since Dr. Strange and Dr. Voodoo have been confirmed to exist in the gameverse as they will be debuting in the prequel novel that recently got announced.

In the meantime, we have the next prequel comic to look forward to, Marvel’s Avengers: Thor. Obviously it’ll be focusing on the Norse god himself, but we expect a number of new characters to be introduced in the issue so we will be keeping an eye out when it releases in a few weeks.

The Nintendo Switch Clone Is Here, Meet the Nanica Smitch

Are you a fan of the Nintendo Switch? There’s a Nintendo Switch clone called the ” Nanica Smitch!” That name alone should strike fear in Nintendo as the rip-off consoles offer portability gaming with detachable remote controls, all while providing 800 available launch titles.

This rip-off console is no real threat (obviously) but is instead a hilarious attempt at trying to cash in on the success of the Nintendo Switch. The Smitch costs roughly $50 (assuming that $159,000 is in Colombian Peso) and features many similarities to the Nintendo Switch, including detachable remotes. If you ask me, its pretty sleazy as the packaging is designed to look like that of the official console it’s ripping off. Take a look at images of the packshot and device itself down below, listed by the retailer selling it.

Like many other console rip-offs, the Smitch is designed to play illegally obtained classic ROMs from the early to late ’90s. It offers the ability to take these games on the Go, much like the Switch, and even allows you to use the screen by itself as the controllers are detachable. It does, however, appear to lack the ability to connect to a television via HDMI. The full details on this rip-off can be found below.

Play without limits in this great retro console to another level.

Easy, to use simply connect the RCA cables to the TV and the power cable to the power or play portable mode.

With this product you can transport yourself to the 90’s when we played in the little machines or when we had our console.

• Rechargeable console.

• 5.5 “screen.

• 800 Games installed, Mario broos, bomberman, against, Double Dragon, Adventure Island and many more.

• Includes Audio and video cable, 4 AAA batteries for the controls, rechargeable battery for the screen, strap and power cable.

• Measures: 19.5cm Width * 10cm Height * 3cm Fund.

Here’s a video of it in action.

As of now, the console is only available in Colombia, though don’t be surprised if this eventually makes it’s way up to the states. We’d hate to see scammers try to pawn this off as an official Nintendo Switch to uneducated buyers, especially with the Holidays just right around the corner.  It certainly doesn’t help that the box art in nearly the same of that of the official Switch, and even features Mario on it. Let this post serve as a warning, please don’t buy this for your kids.

Report: PS5 Knives Out Battle Royale in Development

While we already know of one official PlayStation 5 (PS5) game in Gearbox Software’s “Godfall,” it seems mobile game Knives Out is headed to the next-gen platform too, as a PS5 Knives Out version is being developed based on a NetEase Games developer’s resume.

This was spotted by Twitter user Timur222 who posted this little tidbit, where the Development Art Direct/Product Manager of NetEase Games Vincent Chi posted that they’ve been working on the PS5 Knives Out version.

Of course, this is in no way a confirmation, so take it with a grain of salt still. That said, don’t be surprised if it is indeed on the PS5, and if it’s a free-to-play game, too. Given how much F2P titles have been successful on the PS4, I don’t doubt that we’ll see more of these on the PS5.

Released back in 2017, Knives Out is a battle royale game for mobile made by NetEase Games that has carved (heh) its own folloing. Can it do the same on PS5? Your guess is as good as mine at this point.

Modern Warfare Season One Anthem Video Gives a Summary So Far

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been out for roughly two months now, and with the first season well underway with new content, Activision has released what it calls the Modern Warfare Season One Anthem video, which spotlights some of the unique things in the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxOa8KFATyg&feature=youtu.be

From pre-launch promotion, to Ground War shenanigans, the video almost has it all. We don’t see any claymore spam and camping in it though, which a lot of people will agree is the current meta.

Given how frequent the post-launch support has been, expect more from Season 1 by early next year in January. Once we know more details, we’ll be sure to let our Modern Warfare readers know.

What’s your Modern Warfare Season One “anthem?” Share them in the comments.

Modern Warfare Snowball Fight Introduced in Latest Patch, Watch It Here

If you’re a fan of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s newly introduced 2v2 mode Gunfight, you might want to start playing the game mode again as Infinity Ward has introduced a new Modern Warfare snowball fight mode introduced in this week’s patch!

Yep, it’s exactly as it sounds. Players will use snowballs they pick up in the map to hit each other until they die. Watch it in action below.

Obviously, this looks like a limited time event just in time for the holidays, so don’t be surprised if it gets taken out soon.

Speaking of limited time events, the Gunfight map Docks also hides a secret Christmas Easter egg that features Riley the dog from Call of Duty: Ghosts! Check out how to trigger it here.

Modern Warfare Skeleton Stock Attachment Stealth Nerfed by Infinity Ward

Just yesterday, a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch was released by Infinity Ward that not only brought a Season 1 refresh in the form of new maps and a new game mode, but it also brought in a few gameplay fixes as well. Unfortunately, it seems Infinity Ward has also stealth nerfed the Modern Warfare Skeleton Stock attachment!

First spotted by Reddit user ragnarokfps, the Skeleton Stock attachment which is available on a few guns, provided an overall movement speed pre-patch, which has since been taken out!

Modern Warfare Skeleton Stock attachment pre-patch:

Modern Warfare Skeleton Stock attachment post-patch:

As you can see, it’s clearly been taken out, and there’s no mention of it in the patch notes. The Skeleton Stock attachment is available on the AK-47, M13 assault rifles, and the Bizon SMG. If you’re curious how this has affected the guns stats-wise, YouTuber XclusiveAce tested the stealth nerfed that has happened and here are his findings:

The in-game attachement pros and cons screen wasn’t bugged; the movement buff for using the Skeleton Stock attachment really was taken out! That said, there is a slight five percent bump for the ADS (aim down sight) speed, which was also undocumented too.

Important to note, this isn’t the first time Infinity Ward stealth nerfed guns or made hidden changes in Modern Warfare. When the first Season 1 patch dropped, there was a long list of stealth changes made to the game that affected weapons and more.

Personally, I’m not a fan of stealth nerfs and buffs, as it creates an unneeded discussion from the community of which other guns got the same treatment and such, which could be avoided just by simply putting it as part of the patch notes. I mean, given how gamers are these days, they will find out sooner or later, and it’s best to be honest with your community, right? Especially if they help you rake in over $1 billion in sales.
