Report: New Titanfall Battle Royale Game to Be Released This Coming Monday, Will Be F2P (Update)

Update:

To further add to this rumor’s legitimacy, it seems EA has trademarked “Apex Legend” and yep, you guessed it, for “computer game software.” Odds are, we’ll get a trailer later soon or something, which we’ll post if ever we do.

Original Story:

Who doesn’t like megaton rumors? Well, it seems we have one now and this one seems to be legit, too. Multiple reports have now surfaced that a new Titanfall game is set to be announced and released very soon. How soon? Try releasing-this-Monday soon!

Said to be titled “Apex Legends,” this new Titanfall game will be one that’s based on battle royale! Yes, a Titanfall battle royale game is said to be coming this Monday, and what’s more, it’ll be free-to-play!

Apparently, YouTubers and streamers have already played the game, with Rod Breslau, eSports insider spilling the beans on Twitter.

His full set of tweets are as follows:

Sources who have played and have knowledge of the game confirm to me that Respawn is set to announce and release Apex Legends on Monday Feb 4, a free to play Titanfall Hero Battle Royale game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Apex Legends will feature classes/heroes with unique abilities, maximum of 60 players per server, maximum of 3 players per team (trios) to compliment each other. No titans. Just as Titanfall and Titanfall 2, Apex Legends will run on a modified version of Valve’s Source engine.

Micro-transactions and lootboxes for cosmetic items and in-game content are said to be in Apex Legends with a very similar approach to that in Overwatch.

If that wasn’t enough, YouTuber TheQuartering (via ComicBook) has also mentioned the same details: that we’re getting a Titanfall battle royale game, it’ll be F2P, and will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Once we get official confirmation, or gameplay, we’ll be sure to let readers know. If this is indeed true, which it seems to be given it’s been mentioned by EA that Respawn would be releasing two games in 2019 (the other one has been confirmed to be the Star Wars game), this is one heck of a surprise from Respawn and EA. Let’s hope the quality is on the same level of Titanfall 2, and if its, we’re in for a treat.

Anthem PC Controls and UI Overhauled for Launch, Here Are the Changes

If you’re playing Anthem on PC and find the flight controls, and even the UI (user interface) a tad harder than it needs to be, you’re not alone. Thankfully, BioWare has already modified how the Anthem PC controls for flight work, as well as the UI.

Over on Reddit, Producer Ben Irving posted the changes BioWare has made to the game’s PC controls and UI at launch. Yes, unfortunately, these changes won’t be felt in the demo that’s on-going now.

Anthem PC Controls – Aiming and Flight Changes:

Aiming

  • Raw Mouse Input Fixed
    • We found and fixed a bug that caused the symptom of negative acceleration

Flight and Swimming

  • Increase Available Range for Mouse Sensitivity Options
    • Flight and swim sensitivity sliders now allow for more than double the range it offered before. This allows different mouse DPI settings (specifically extremely high or low) to better fit into our in-game swim/flight sensitivity settings.
  • PC Flight Box is now a Circle
    • PC Flight Cursor is now constrained by a circle boundary instead of a box. This allows better turn/speed management as the distance away from center dot (which dictates the speed of your turn) is always the same maximum amount in any direction.
  • Added Auto-Centering for PC Flight
    • Added auto-centering behavior on swimming and flying by default for PC.
    • When mouse input stops (after a delay) the crosshair will automatically return to center.
  • Resolved bug with Sprint/Fly on Button Press
    • We’ve resolve a jittering/FX spam issue bug that players would receive when playing with hold-to-fly(rather than toggle) option for flight.
  • Raw Mouse Input is now achievable in PC Flight
    • By setting Flight/Swim Response and Precision settings sliders to 0% you can now achieve raw mouse input.
  • Default Flight and Swim Sensitivity Settings Updated
    • All default PC flight and swim sensitivity settings are now tuned to 1200 DPI instead of 1800 DPI.
    • Default flight and swim sensitivity changed from 50% and 35% respectively, to both being 40%.
      • This is the same as having both set to 100% with our previous sensitivity tuning, and since swimming was lower sensitivity than flight it’s seen an even bigger boost in responsiveness at default settings.
  • Tuned Flight/Swim Response and Precision Default Settings and Curves
    • The defaults are now much closer to raw mouse input.
    • Adjusted defaults for Precision / Response:
      • 25% for flight and swim precision down to 15%
      • 50% for flight and swim response down to 30%
    • Tweaked flight and swim response to ease into the slowing down behavior close to center in a less steep way than before.

Anthem UI PC Changes:

Summary

We have made numerous updates to menu and Forge navigation with mouse and keyboard on PC since the Demo build. In Early Access (15th Feb), you will see improvements like using Q and E to navigate tabs and being able to drill into menus by clicking the visible options on the right side (except Social menus which are coming for the Worldwide Launch 22nd Feb). In the Forge you will notice that rotating and zooming your character are more responsive.

We are also working on improving our graphics options on PC. For Worldwide Launch (22nd Feb) the issues with Motion Blur will be addressed along with adding an option to toggle HDR on or off. We are adding the ability to adjust camera shake with a slider to help alleviate any issues with motion sickness for Worldwide launch (Feb 22). We are also actively investigating adding an FOV slider to the game. We understand the importance of this option for a large numbers of players. In addition we are investigating adding options for FPS Limit and HDR Brightness in future patches. More information on that when we have it.

List of Changes for Launch (15th Feb / 22nd Feb)

  • UI Clicking on visible options in menus fixed for 15th Feb (except social which is 22nd Feb)
  • Navigating Menu tabs with Q and E instead of old keybindings fixed for 15th Feb
  • Forge rotation speed with mouse improved – 15th Feb
  • Scrolling with mouse wheel wont zoom your javelin AND scroll the menu (will be contextual based on where your mouse is) – 15th Feb
  • D-Pad will show as keyboard bindings – 15th Feb
  • Turning off Motion Blur in settings now works (decoupled from post processing) – 22nd Feb
  • HDR toggle available – 22nd Feb
  • Camera Shake slider added – 22nd Feb

In other Anthem news, go check out how the primers and detonators work in the game in this handy cheat sheet. Also of note, if you’re worried about microtransactions in Anthem, let BioWare put a dash on that with their confirmation on how it works.

The Division 2 Campaign Length to Be Around 40 Hours

If you found the First The Division campaign to be a little on the short side, then the sequel should make up for it, as we now know that The Division 2 campaign length is around 40 hours!

This was mentioned by the official Xbox website (via ComicBook), where it listed items that mentions how The Division 2 is different from its predecessor. Check out the full quota below.

The launch of Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is nearly upon us, and everything we’ve seen to date says its going to be bigger and better than its predecessor in every way. Set seven months after the first game’s Black Friday event, the seasonal change looks to be one of the most visible differences, as the snowy winter setting has been replaced by a hot, humid, and stormy summer. The locale has changed too, as agents from The Division receive a distress call from Washington DC and move on from New York City. According to the game’s developers at Massive Entertainment and Red Storm Entertainment, The Division 2 will feature a 40ish hour story mode that can be played solo or cooperatively, and they’ve said that it was designed with endgame in mind first. One of the biggest endgame areas in the first game was The Dark Zone, where players could go head-to-head or team up to nab some sweet loot.

You can read the rest of the article right here, to see some of the new stuff coming to The Division 2.

This is good news, no? With games like The Division 2, the focus is usually on the loot grind, and tackling one-off missions. While that’s still the case, at least we now know that there’s a meaty campaign to go along with the loot grind as well.

In other The Division 2 news, you can sign up for the beta right now even without pre-ordering, though there’s no guarantee that you’ll get in,

Anthem Combos Using Primers and Detonators Explained in One Handy Graphic

While Anthem might seem like your typical third-person shooter at first glance, the game’s combat system is a lot more nuanced than simply pointing a gun, and shooting at a target. Sure, that’ll work, but if you want to inflict massive damage on the game’s enemies, you’ll want to learn how to properly do Anthem combos.

In Anthem, abilities are categorized into two paths, and they are “primers” and “detonators.” Each character has a specialty in terms of gear and whether they’re good at priming enemies, and/or detonating ’em. If you’re unfamiliar with how it works, or need a quick guide, you’re in luck! Thanks to Twitter user/YouTuber FireDragon04 has designed a quick and handy graphic that explains Anthem combos, and how to tell if an ability is a primer or detonator! Check the image below (thanks to Matt Needler for giving us permission to use it!).

What’s awesome here is, the graphic above can be used in the demo set to start later today, and in the final game! Handy, right?

In other Anthem news, you can check out details regarding the demo right here. We also posted our hands-on impressions if you’re interested, and even wrote up a feature on what we think the game needs to improve on based on the demo.

BioWare Clears Air Regarding Anthem Microtransactions, Confirms Players Won’t Be Able to Buy Crafting Materials With Real Money

With Anthem set to be playable by everyone later today as it’s open demo starts, some players might be wondering what features the game has that BioWare isn’t making available in the demo. We know that the social hub called the Launch Bay is one, and how the Anthem microtransactions stuff is another.

BioWare has already confirmed before that Anthem microtransactions will involve cosmetics and cosmetics only. While we’ve seen how some items will be priced, BioWare has also confirmed that any in-game price of cosmetics aren’t set in stone, and will be changing almost daily.

Just to clear the air once and for all, BioWare General Manager Casey Hudson has gone on Twitter to address the Anthem microtransactions for those who might be worried.

Sounds good, right? Mind, I’m expecting some badass Anthem cosmetic stuff to make their way that will only be available via real world money, but at least it’s nothing game-breaking, right?

On a related note, if you’re wondering if BioWare will allow crafting materials in Anthem to be purchased using real world money, the answer is a big “NO.” This was answered by Executive Producer Mark Darrah who gave a curt, and straight to the point, “no” when asked.

This is good news, right? At least this way, “whales” and those who spend real world money won’t be able to one-up people who actually play the game and are, y’know, actually good at at.

In other Anthem news, don’t forget, the Anthem demo is set to start later today! Here’s a link explaining everything you need to know along with the download links.

What Does It Take to Create a Poker Room?

Nowadays, the gambling business is incredibly popular, which is associated with its high profitability. At least, many gamblers think so. According to major bookmakers, income from gambling can reach up to hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Sound exciting, right? If you are going to be one of those lucky ones owning a casino or a poker room, we have prepared some recommendations to you.

First Steps in Opening of a Poker Room

If you have already made the decision to create a poker room, the first thing to think about is, of course, the budget and the annual investments into the business you are ready to make to maintain its profitability and competitiveness.

When determining the budget, you need to cover the following stages:

  • elementary;
  • the launch of the project;
  • maintaining its level/ functioning;
  • traffic increase.

Each of these stages is completely interrelated, so it’s not worth counting on the fact that the site will bring money if you fulfill only a part of the steps.

The next stage is the website creation, domain registration, and software development. Of course, the program can be done for a penny, but it will not be certified. Therefore, there will be little reason for gamblers to trust you. As a rule, software development is the most addictive condition for creating a poker room.

Before launching the website, the most important aspect of project support will be qualified personnel, which should include several experienced programmers, a designer, and a technical support team. As for the online promotion of a poker room, you will have to hire good marketing experts, who can bring out and advertise the portal in such a way that all fans of poker will know its name.

Difficulties in Poker Room Implementation

In some areas, it is impossible to register a gambling business due to legal restriction. In this case, you need to search for an alternative solution and open an offshore company in another country. Cyprus, Holland, Beilis can be good options for issuing licenses and permits for your gambling business. The presence of a license today plays a big role because there are already enough “black poker rooms.”

Of course, it is important to launch a quality poker room with top-rate gaming content. However, the task of its founders is to simultaneously promote and improve the portal, because the lack of marketing will play a cruel joke on the business. The gambling market is an incredibly tough territory that will not tolerate weak players. Do not be mean, hire a responsible team, and great patience – only in this case, you can reach success

BioWare: Anthem Demo Players Should See “Significant Improvements” Over Last Week

It’s safe to say that last week’s Anthem VIP demo experience wasn’t the first impression BioWare wanted to make to players given how many technical issues we’ve encountered. While last week’s Anthem demo was a bit more exclusive, the studio is opening the floodgates for everyone tomorrow.

For those worrying that we’ll see more technical issues, BioWare’s Head of Live Services Chad Robertson has posted a message on the studio’s blog to allay everyone’s fears. According to Robertson, players from last week should see “significant improvement in multiple areas” compared to last week’s Anthem VIP demo, though he admits that they may say new issues arise given the large influx of players and other tech issues.

This week has been focused on improving the player experience in the demo – that focus was based on our learnings and your feedback. For those of you that played last weekend, you should see significant improvement in multiple areas over last week.

While we are confident that these changes will improve this weekend’s experience for players, we’re also cognizant that we may see recurring and new issues. Our team will again be working around the clock to deal with any problems that arise so that all players can enjoy the game.

BioWare also mentions that they’ve prepared the Anthem servers to cater to more than what they anticipate they’ll need, though predicting player numbers for a game like Anthem will be hard. The studio has also mentioned that they have “systems in place to control entry rates of incoming players” to ensure that those already in sessions won’t be interrupted.

Our ongoing scale testing this week has gone well. We’re confident we are ready for the load we will see. Like last weekend, we will be prepared with more server capacity than we anticipate will be needed. However, predicting player numbers – particularly for a new game like Anthem in its first open public weekend – is very difficult.  If more players decide to try the game than we anticipate, we also have systems in place to control entry rates of incoming players. This is to ensure players in the game are having uninterrupted fun and to give us time to increase capacity.

Lastly, Robertson mentioned a list of items that are already fixed in the final build of the game, which we’ve already listed down before.

For more on the Anthem demo, check the schedule here which also includes the demo client download links. Don’t forget to read up on our demo impressions piece, as well as our top five list of improvements we want to see BioWare make based on the demo.

The Division 2 Private Beta Sign Ups Are Now Live, and Here’s How to Get a Chance to Join the Action

It’s no secret that The Division 2 will have a private beta that’s exclusive for those who pre-ordered the game, or for those who purchase specially marked cans of Mountain Dew Gamer Fuel.

If you’d rather not pre-order, and Gamer Fuel isn’t your bag, you can register right now in this link for a chance to get in The Division 2 private beta. Again, this is not a guarantee that you’ll get in, and yes, that link is for all three platforms (PS4, Xbox One, PC). Note that you will need a Uplay account, and by registering, you allow Ubisoft and its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, to use your Uplay username in marketing “efforts” related to The Division 2.

The Division 2 private beta starts February 7 and will last until February 10, and there hasn’t been a mention of an open beta, so this might be the only chance players will get to test the game out before its launch on March 15.

You can check out this info post to see what content will be featured in the beta, and for the exact time when it’ll be available, and so on.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Specialist Spam Is a Problem That Needs to Be Resolved But It Won’t

Are you actively playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4? If you are, no doubt you’ve been killed countless times by Specialist abilities that range from your usual grenade, to the more annoying seeker drone that electrifies you for a good few seconds.

These Specialists, while add identity to the game, has become a problem due to the constant spam of abilities, ultimates and scorestreaks littering the game. In Black Ops 3, Specialists could choose and use one “ultimate” ability and that was it. In Black Ops 4, these same ultimates seem to recharge faster, and are now accompanied by an ability, thus adding to the chaos to each match.

It’s no wonder now that the community on Reddit, and even Call of Duty YouTubers, are voicing out on how overwhelming Specialist abilities are, and how most deaths come from these abilities instead of, y’know, actual guns.

While some have voiced out for a “classic” (read: no Specialist) playlist, maybe that’s not even needed at all. If Treyarch can fine tune how some Specialist abilities work, this new classic playlist might not even be needed at all. Heck, even people from the community have doled out suggestions on how the Specialists can be balanced better.

black ops 4 new weapon

Why We Won’t See Specialist-Free Playlists and Modes

So, are we getting a Specialist-free mode anytime soon? I really doubt it and here’s why: Rolling out such a mode is an admission by Treyarch that they goofed up in terms of balancing.

Think of it this way: if no one plays the Specialist-free mode, then Treyarch can just kill it and call it a day. But what if it proves to be too popular? What if the core game modes and playlists suffer since more people want to play the classic style of Call of Duty? Not only will Treyarch fracture their own player base, but again, it’ll make the studio look bad since it will clearly show that they’ve lost touch with their player base.

It’s a lose-lose scenario for Treyarch, though one that would be accepted warmly by the community.

black ops 4 upcoming patchW

What Can We Do With Specialist Spam?

If you’re suffering from Black Ops 4 Specialist spam sickness, then I’m afraid there’s no actual cure, but just a band aid or two for now. Use the Engineer perk so you can at least see all the crap flying about and whatnot. With the perk equipped, you’ll be able to see the spawn beacon wherever it is, Torque’s barricade, even the seeker drone. That said, you’ll still fall victim to these things but at least you’ll be able to avoid some of them.

Another way to not be abused by much is the Tac Mask perk. With this, you’ll have better resistance to Ajax’s 9-bang flashbang, Firebreak’s Reactor Core and more. Again, these won’t make you invulnerable to these skills, but it’ll at least make them a tad more manageable.

One more thing that can help is allocating a point in your create-a-class setup for a Hellion Rocket. I find that these are indispensable since you can use them to take out Torque’s barricades and barb wires, UAVs, RC XD, Nomad’s dog, and more. Yes, I hate the Black Ops 4 Specialist spam as much as anyone and I do everything I can to make sure it’s mitigated on my end.

Well, there you have it. Are you experiencing Black Ops 4 Specialist spam sickness? How do you think this can be cured? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Cisco 100-105 ICND1 Exam: One Step to Obtain CCENT Certification

With Cisco being the world leader in networking solutions, earning one of its certifications confers several advantages to the candidates seeking to establish a career in this area. Among these benefits are:

  • Proven Expertise

Cisco certifications demonstrate one’s skills and expertise in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco networking products. Also, an individual proves his/her proficiency in working with enterprise-level Cisco-based networks.

  • Launch Pad to Advanced Qualifications

As an IT professional, you might envision yourself as a future team leader or manager as soon as you have the necessary experience. Cisco certificates open the door to do just that. By obtaining one of them, you are already on your way to attaining Cisco professional- or expert-level credentials, resulting in more opportunities for developing your career.

  • Increased Earnings

Nowadays, companies have compartmentalized pay scales based on several factors. Even so, certified IT professionals earn more than those who don’t have any certification. According to this article, the CCENT certificate holders earn 8 to 13% more of their base pay.

  • Other Benefits of the CCENT Certification

Within the IT industry, recruiters, solution providers, and other employers covet certifications. For instance, Cisco credentials indicate that a potential candidate has the competence, initiative, and ability to design, implement, and maintain core technology in compliance with industry standards.

Let’s assume you are attending an interview in a new tech firm. Over the years, you have accumulated a set of skills, but how do you prove this during the interview? Remember that interviewers typically make decisions based on limited knowledge. By submitting your CCENT certification, you assure your potential employers of your skills and competence. Plus, between two candidates with the same experience, the one who has a certificate is most likely to get the post.

Exam Overview

If you would like to get the Cisco CCENT certification, you need to pass the Cisco 100-105, Interconnecting Cisco Internetworking Devices Part 1 exam. The ICND1 test is the initial step towards obtaining the CCENT credential. It validates the student’s knowledge and skills in network routing and switching technologies, infrastructure maintenance, and infrastructure services. Passing this certification test sets the candidates on the path to a successful networking career in Cisco networking solutions.

The 100-105 exam consists of 45-55 questions and has the time limit of 90 minutes. The candidates will have to answer multiple-choice questions with single/multiple answers, simulations, drag and drop, testlets, and simlets. The test is available in English and Japanese.

The exam topics are as follows:

  1. Infrastructure Maintenance (14%)
  2. Infrastructure Services (15%)
  3. Network Fundamentals (20%)
  4. LAN Switching Fundamentals (25%)
  5. Routing Fundamentals (26%)

The 100-105 ICND1 exam topics cover techniques, skills, and knowledge required to effectively deploy, troubleshoot, and operate core Cisco networking solutions (routers and switches). Typically, this involves unboxing a new device, configuring it, and deploying it in a small LAN. However, you should regard these sections as a guideline, as the exam may include other topics for the purpose of clarity. Note that Cisco may review these guidelines without prior notification.

Preparation Tips

Training for any Cisco certification exam requires a lot of learning, practice, and understanding of a wide array of concepts and technologies. Although some candidates pass the test using a self-study approach, others require instructor-led courses in a formal setting. Use the following tips to help you prepare for your 100-105 ICND1 certification test:

  • Practice, practice, and more practice using simulations, simlets, and testlets available in the exam syllabus. By doing so, you gain a set of handy skills for use on the exam day. In this way, you will avoid wasting valuable time figuring out how each of the various components functions during the actual test. Use the PrepAway Cisco CCENT Practice Test Questions Part 4 100-105 Exam to see your strong and weak areas.
  • Create a study plan for rating your performance against each topic. Consider using a scale of 1 to 5 to represent your conversancy with particular networking technologies or concepts. Luckily, not all exam topics require troubleshooting or configuration knowledge.
  • Also, carefully review the 100-105 exam blueprint. Take note of sections that require you to configure, troubleshoot, or verify, as these questions that require practical application of networking concepts and skills. In doing so, you save time and maximize your chances of acing this teat on your first try. Verbs such as describe and discuss identify theory type questions, which typically are not present in simulations.
  • You can also purchase or rent Cisco routing and switching equipment to boost your knowledge of its solutions. If this is not possible due to resource constraints, get a good simulator to practice on switching and routing concepts.

Conclusion

If you are worried about passing this certification exam, you need to relax. Many candidates are already the CCENT certificate holders. However, you need proper training, lots of practice, and thorough preparation to ace the 100-105 exam on your first try. During the preparatory days, be ready to give your best shot to the test.

Presently, Cisco has authorized several of its partners to offer the CCENT training to the students across the globe. Even so, you can take the ICND1 course directly from Cisco, but the exam ready candidates must register with Pearson VUE. It is the official administrator of all Cisco certification tests. After signing up, browse through this website to select a test center that suits your specific needs (location and convenience). Fortunately, the Pearson VUE network of worldwide partners simplifies the exam administration process regardless of the candidate’s location. After passing the 100-105 exam, you will receive your CCENT certification that will lead you to more advanced and specialized Cisco credentials.

Anthem Demo Update 1.01 Rolled Out in Preparation for the Open Demo

If you’ve played (or at least tried to) play Anthem during the VIP demo week last weekend, check your demo client now, as there’s an Anthem demo update 1.01 that’s now available on all three platforms.

Clocking in at 178MB on PS4 (300MB on Xbox One, 272MB on PC), the update history notes for the PS4 only state “general stability improvements,” which could mean a ton of things. Let’s hope that this means that the dreaded infinite loading bug is finally gone, and connectivity won’t be an issue for the new people coming in tomorrow.

Of course, the Anthem open demo set to kick off tomorrow will require the same demo client, so no need to download anything for VIP demo participants.

In other Anthem news, go check out our early hands-on impressions of the demo right here. VIP participants, don’t forget that you’ll get two free vinyls as a thank you from BioWare for participating.

Anthem Post Launch Plans to Include New Enemies, New Area, Different Weather States and More

While Anthem isn’t even out yet, the fact that it’s a game that relies heavily on live services means that players will be expecting a steady flow of post-launch content from BioWare. It seems the studio is very much aware of it, and has confirmed that the Anthem post launch plans include new enemies, new areas to explore and lots more.

Speaking to MMOGames, Anthem Producer Scylla Costa was asked about the Anthem post launch plans, and Costa confirmed that BioWare has teams working on it already, and some of the stuff they’re working on includes new creatures, different events, and even weather states that will affect gameplay and not just be a lighting change.

What’s the road-map for Anthem looking like post-launch?

There are a lot of things coming post-launch. We have many different teams who have been working on that stuff for a few weeks already, so you can see different cosmetic items, different creatures, maybe a new region to explore! You’ll have different events, different weather states. Anthem is a dynamic world; if you have rain right now it applies to your jets you can fly for longer as it cools down your jets. You can use electricity and therefore create larger effects. Try to imagine that we can create different weather states and apply that so not only are new parts of the world going to behave differently, but old parts of the world as well. If it’s day or if it’s night some creatures may show up or may be more powerful. We can play with all of these variables and create a new narrative for the game.

I have to admit, this weather-related gameplay mechanic is very intriguing, and is something that hasn’t been done before in similar games like Destiny, The Division, etc. (from my knowledge).

Don’t forget, BioWare has also confirmed that all story-driven DLC will be free, which means we’ll probably see a lot of these stuff available to everyone.

In other Anthem news, go read up on our Anthem demo impressions, and also our feature on the Anthem improvements we want to see implemented based on the demo.

Report: Sony Focusing First-Party Studios on PS5, Unannounced PS4 Games Planned to Shift to Next-Gen

While Sony hasn’t revealed even a tidbit of info regarding the PS5 other than Sony’s CEO deeming it as “necessary,” we now get news that Sony’s first-party studios (Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studios, etc.) are reportedly focusing on PS5 already.

This bit of news comes from industry analyst, Daniel Ahmad, who’s been known to be dependable with these things. Over on video game forum ResetEra, Ahmad posted  a graph detailing Sony’s lucrative online network services business, where he also dropped the following:

2019 will be another solid year for the platform due to the large install base, growing network sales, strong third party software, first party software and back catalog. Lineup for the first half of the year is set but second half is still in flux. Sony also has a couple of unannounced games (already existing IP) with PS4 in mind but I’m conscious that there have been discussions around making them cross gen/next gen titles. In general, most of the focus for Sony 1P is on PS5 right now. It is still early to talk about next gen but I imagine we’ll hear some whispers come out of GDC.

Obviously, this is not official, but again, Ahmad has been known to be accurate when it comes to these things. Also, it’s not really surprising if Sony’s first-party studios are now focusing on PS5 content, as we’re most likely nearing the tail end of this generation of consoles.
