Marvel’s Avengers Update 1.47 Patch Notes | Marvel’s Avengers Update 2.0.1 Patch Notes:

Here’s what Crystal Dynamics had to say regarding today’s patch (via the game’s Discord channel):

  • Patch 2.0.1 went out today and included very minor backend improvements.

Yep, that seems to be it. However, a new event is incoming today as well which is the “Corrupted Vibranium Event.”

From Crystal Dynamics:

The Corrupted Vibranium Event’s clusters will begin appearing on August 19th and last for two weeks until September 2nd. The following missions will have Corrupted Vibranium clusters that will need to be destroyed:

  • Our Town – Utah Badlands
  • Inhuman Condition – Utah Badlands
  • …And We’re Back – Eastern Seaboard
  • Enter: The Avengers – Eastern Seaboard
  • Stark Realities – Pacific Northwest
  • Here Comes the Pain – Wakanda
  • From Bad to Worse – Wakanda
  • 24/7 Vibranium – Wakanda

Unique missions are available for each Hero (including Black Panther) that will task you with performing specific feats in Corrupted Vibranium Threat Sectors. Completing these mission chains will reward you with gear that has the Vibranium status effect – which turns all damage dealt to affected enemies into a large kinetic explosion that can hit other enemies and set off chain reactions.

You can read more about the event here.

These changes will be live on all platforms by 12:00 PM PT. To apply hotfixes, wait at the main menu until you see a sign that reads, “Hotfixes Applied!” If you are experiencing any issues or want to provide feedback, please submit a ticket to support.2k.com.

Ghost of Tsushima Update 2.04 Slices Out

Sucker Punch Productions has released the Ghost of Tsushima update 2.04 patch this August 19, and this is just a day before the Director’s Cut makes its way out on both PS4, and PS5!

Ghost of Tsushima Update 2.04 Patch Notes:

The PS4 update history says the following:

  • General bug fixes and improvements

That said, while the studio has not commented on the patch yet, they did mention how the new content planned for the multiplayer mode “Legends” will drop the same day as the Director’s Cut. Given how past updates for multiplayer games are handled, the content patch is deployed a day earlier before it’s activated the following day.

Here’s what Sucker Punch has mentioned regarding the update set for August 20:

Starting on August 20 (release date of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut), we’re also releasing an update that will add new features to Legends, including some changes based on feedback from the community. We’ve rebalanced the Survival mode to shorten the session length and added new weekly Survival Nightmare challenge variants. We’ve also unlocked additional cosmetics in Legends for players who’ve earned them in Jin’s story and New Game+.\

Again, all of the above will be available at no additional cost if you already own Ghost of Tsushima, but for those of you who don’t own Ghost of Tsushima yet but are interested in trying out Legends, starting on September 3 we’re also offering a new way to buy Legends on its own, without the single-player campaign starring Jin Sakai.

In addition to the stuff mentioned above, the new “Rivals” content is set to be released on September 3, which you can read about here.

If Sucker Punch releases a full changelog for today’s patch, we’ll update the post.

Stay tuned for our review of the Director’s Cut content hitting the site soon, as we’re still slicing through enemies.

Disney Classic Games Collection ESRB Rating Surfaces, Lists the Games Included

If you’re an old-school gaming fan (or just old), then chances are you’ve played some of the great Disney side-scrolling games on the SNES and Genesis. If you want to relive the magic, it seems we’ll soon be able to, as the Disney Classic Games Collection has been rated by the ESRB!

Include in the rating summary are The Lion King, The Jungle Book, and Aladdin.

Here’s the rating summary:

Rating Summary

This is a collection of classic platformers based on the Disney movies Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Jungle Book. Players run and jump through levels, using swords, fruit, or swipe-and-pounce attacks to strike enemies (e.g., guards, birds, snakes, monkeys). Combat is highlighted by sword-slashing sounds and cries of pain; enemies disappear amid puffs of smoke when defeated. Some enemies and bosses shoot projectiles (e.g., arrows) at players’ character.

While not specified, we’re hoping the Aladdin game version included is the Genesis one given it’s better than the SNES version (if memory servers me correctly). Hopefully. an announcement is incoming soon, so we’ll get more details on whether the games are straight ports or getting new visuals or something else.

Quake ESRB Rating for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC Surfaces (Includes PS5, XSX)

Could we be getting a new Quake game or a reboot of the franchise soon? A Quake ESRB rating has surfaced on the Entertainment Software Ratings Board’s site, and it lists the game as coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC!

Here’s the listing per the official ESRB site:

Rating Summary

This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a soldier that travels through time to stop an evil force from destroying humanity. Players traverse through maze-like medieval enviornments and use shotguns, nail guns, and grenade launchers to kill various enemies (e.g., zombies, demonic forces, scorpions, humans) in frenetic run-and-gun combat. Battles are accompanied by gunfire sounds, screams of pain, and large explosions. Large blood-splatter effects occur frequently, and several attack cause enemies to explode into bloody chunks. Some areas depict mutilated body parts on the ground or falling from ceilings.

Sure sounds like Quake, alright. With Quakecon starting later today, perhaps this is one of the surprise announcements planned? Speaking of which, you can check out the full Quakecon schedule right here.

Thanks, Nibel!

Single-Player Action Game “Exekiller” Announced With Trailer & Screens, and It Looks a Bit Familiar

Poland-based developer Paradark Studio has today announced “Exekiller” a single-player, action-adventure game where “retro-futurism and western vibes meet.” In the upcoming PC game, you play as an Exekiller, which is another term for futuristic bounty hunter.

Check out the trailer and screenshots provided via the press release:

More info per the press release:

Immerse yourself in a post-apocalyptic world. World where there are no rules and the only law that matters is a loaded gun!

Experience dystopian alternate reality where the apocalypse has already happened. 20 years ago the Great Fire Disaster set most of the world on fire causing mass extinction and destruction of life and earth. Only 30% of mankind has survived, only a few spots on earth are possible to live. As the governments failed, corporations took control. The world is plunging into chaos and anarchy. Welcome to New York in 1998.

You are an Exekiller, a futuristic bounty hunter. Your main goal is collecting S.O.U.L.S – biochip component which gathers information about its owner and also controls him. Chips are produced by one of the biggest corporations that rule the New Earth. Without S.O.U.L you simply don’t exist.

Hunt down outlaws in the game’s vibrant world, kill them, bring them to justice or set them free, the choice is yours. But choose carefully, as the actions and choices you make will determine how this player-driven story unfolds.

Augment your skills, use a variety of gadgets, sneak past your enemies, use the environment as your advantage or talk your way out of trouble situations. Travel across diverse regions inside your trusty vehicle. Experience fascinating journey through post-apocalyptic landscapes, survive in The Wasteland, fight against roving gangs of bandits, harsh weather conditions like radioactive sun storms and many more.

The game definitely looks promising, though I admit, it really, really reminded me of a certain futuristic game that’s out right now also from a Polish studio.

Exekiller is set for a release on PC (Steam) with no definite release window just yet. You can follow more news about it via the studio’s official Twitter account.

Sony Sends Out Second University of Oxford-Partnered Gran Turismo Survey

Just a few weeks ago, we reported that Sony has sent out a Gran Turismo survey that was being conducted with the University of Oxford. While the survey does touch on the game somewhat, it focuses more on mental wellness, and how gamers feel when playing Gran Turismo Sport.

Here’s the image people will see greet them in emails:

As you can see, the survey will take 5-10 minutes, and some of the questions include asking how the survey taker’s life feels at the moment from 1-10, what the person has been experiencing the past two weeks, and more.

Chances are, we’ll get the third one in two weeks’ time again.

If you received any other surveys or just want to send a news tip to MP1st, you can do so by email us (tips at mp1st.com).

Call of Duty Vanguard Reveal in Warzone Brings Double XP, PvE and More

In case you didn’t know, Activision is set to reveal Call of Duty Vanguard in Warzone tomorrow! Activision has detailed some of the stuff players should expect come tomorrow, as well as the exact time they need to be logged in Warzone.

Call of Duty Vanguard reveal in Warzone details:

Date & Time: August 19, 10:30AM PT/1:30PM ET/1:30AM HKT

However, those who jump in between 9:30 and 10:29 AM PT will receive double player XP, double weapon XP, and double Battle Pass XP!

In mere hours from now, the biggest battle Verdansk has ever seen will take place. Your target is a heavily armored train, your primary objectives are to plant TNT charges in the tunnel by the Verdansk Hospital. If all goes well, your squad will be greatly rewarded for your efforts.
HQ has also provided the following intel, although this may pertain to the Operator behind the screen rather than the one in the field: there will be a “playlist update” at approximately 10:30am Pacific – do not quit out of Warzone if you are playing prior to this update, as it will happen in real time and not require a re-launch of the game. Just keep checking the Play tab for a live update that will bring about the start of the Battle.
The official Call of Duty account has more details to share:

In addition to that, Activision has confirmed the event will be PvE!

Prepare to roll out, soldier! Once the full reveal is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Hades Update 1.002 Brings Crashing Fixes This August 18

Supergiant Games has released the Hades update 1.002 patch this August 18, and this is just for the PS5 version of the game. This doesn’t add any new content, but rather, is for crash fixes.

Hades Update 1.002 Patch Notes:

Here’s the official announcement per Supergiant Games:

A patch is now available for the PS5 version of Hades, which should resolve occasional crashes some players experienced after extended play sessions. Look for v1.38201 on the main menu after the update. Thank you for playing!

That’s about it! Given how polished the game is outside of these crashes, I wouldn’t expect a ton of these patches to be released.

If you haven’t picked the game up yet, check out our PS5 review here where we state, “What developers Supergiant Games have done here is perfectly capture the roguelite experience, all while adding their own, unique twist in the mix, that not only works, but feels like a step forward for the genre as a whole. It sets a golden standard, one that hopefully others follow.”

Once we get wind of new content or changes in Hades, we’ll be sure to let our readers know ASAP.
