As one might expect given the leaks, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is now out — but only on the PS4 for now. This was confirmed by Activision in a press release stating that it’s out “first on PlayStation 4 on the PlayStation Network, with other platforms available for pre-purchase.”

The game includes the full campaign with stunning high-definition visuals – up to 4K resolution and HDR support on console; and uncapped framerate as well as ultrawide monitor support on PC.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is available now on PlayStation network. Players who purchase will also receive, free with purchase, Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare including the UDT Ghost Operator skin inspired by the ‘The Only Easy Day…Was Yesterday’ campaign level that featured an action-packed hostage rescue attempt from an oil rig in in the arctic. Alongside the Ghost Operator skin, players will also receive two weapon blueprints, a weapon charm, new finishing move, voice quip, animated calling card, emblem and two Battle Pass tier skips all for immediate access in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the recently released Call of Duty: Warzone*.

PS3 Update 4.86 Released

While we’re used to the PS4 console getting patches, it seems Sony has released one for the PS3 — yes, the last-gen console! Now running on its 13th year, Sony has released PS3 update 4.86.

PS3 update 4.86 changes:

Main features in system software update version 4.86:

  • This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.

Note:

  • Depending on the software title, you may not be able to play without first updating the PS3 system software.
  • Do not perform updates using any data other than the official update data provided by Sony Interactive Entertainment over a network or on disc media, and do not perform updates by methods other than those described in the product documentation or in this site. If an update is performed using data from another source, by another method, or with a PS3 system that has been altered or modified in any way, the PS3 system may not operate properly and may not be able to install the official update data. Any of these actions may void the PS3 system warranty and affect your ability to obtain warranty services and repair services from Sony Interactive Entertainment.

You can download the file right here if you want to load it onto a USB drive and update it manually.

Not mentioned here, Sony has removed the feature to message the PS4 and PS Vita using the PS3.

  • Photo Mode added
  • Various performance improvements

Please check “Update Overview” for details.

The Death Stranding Photo Mode feature is something players have been expecting since game director Hideo Kojima announced it a few days ago. Mind, I didn’t think “coming soon” means next week, but I’m not complaining.

Thank you for your feedback everyone! We’re happy to confirm that Photo Mode will be coming soon to DEATH STRANDING on PS4. Stay tuned for more details!

We’ll be on the lookout if there are more changes included in this patch, and will update the post if we find any.

If you’ve yet to play Death Stranding, you might want to do so even if it has a divided consensus among gamers. For us, though, we like it enough that we included it in our top 10 games of 2019. Our review reflects why we included it, so give it a read too.

If you spot any gameplay changes, let us know what they are down in the comments below. PC players, don’t forget, the game is coming your way soon, too!

Monster Hunter World Iceborne Update 13.01 Released

While Capcom just released the big Monster Hunter World Iceborne Title Update 3 last week, a new patch is out now! Monster Hunter World Iceborne update 13.01 is live, and it’s a small download clocking in at just 190MB on PS4.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne update 13.01 patch notes:

As some might expect from a small download, this is nothing more but for bug fixes. Don’t expect any new content.

「An issue was fixed where data could not be collected for statistical purposes from players who gave their consent, after updating to Ver. 13.00 or later.
Please note that gameplay will not be affected at all pre- or post-patch, regardless if you gave your consent for Capcom to collect data or not.

And that’s basically it. With the big patch last week, I doubt players are looking for new content unless they’ve slayed the two MR-level monsters already. I know I haven’t.

Aside from this new patch, players can also expect a new event this April. Called the “Full Bloom Fest,” players can expect the Gathering Hub to be decked out in decorations, and there’ll be new bounties and quests to complete as well.

If you spot any other changes not mentioned in the patch, share the details down below.

  • Addressed an issue that could cause cover slip animations to sometimes not replicate smoothly between clients, making them appear like they are moving at much higher speeds
  • Players can no longer be chainsawed mid-roll
  • Players will no longer receive a prolonged stagger if hit with melee by a player slightly above them.
  • Players can no longer end up in an unarmed state by trading and dropping weapons at the same time
  • Fixed an issue that allowed a player to ignore being into a DBNO state by being grenade tagged by a Smoke or Flashbang by entering the slide animation
  • Fixed an issue where a player grenade tagged in the back could no longer take cover
  • Fixed an issue that could cause severe server corrections if a player initiates a swat turn or roll immediately after having a cover move blocked by a player
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a Retro Lancer charge to cancel instantly if performed shortly after cancelling/finishing the initial one
  • Resolved an issue where, sometimes, players could teleport if staggered while wall-bouncing
  • Fixed an issue that allowed sidearms to be traded after dropping both primary weapons, which could also cause the player to end up in an unarmed state
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Lancer GL to be stuck in grenade firing mode with no laser if the user pauses while holding the grenade firing button

Characters

Maps and Tiles

  • Icebound: The mantle cover on top of the slides have returned for Horde only. This will provide a more comfortable defensive position in the towers for players
  • Icebound: The side windows in the trading post are now always blocked off except for Horde. These changes are to reduce rifle suppression towards the spawn areas and allow more traversal across the map
  • Icebound: The blizzard is now denser and lasts for 30 seconds rather than 15. This change is to allow more opportunities to traverse across the map. In Horde, the timing remains the same but the blizzard will also be denser.
  • Icebound: The blizzard still triggers every 2 minutes for all PVP modes except for Gridiron. In Gridiron, the blizzard triggers at the 1-minute mark and will only trigger that one time per round
  • Allfather’s Arena: Fixed an issue where users could end up on top of cover
  • Vasgar: Spectator camera will no longer shake when players are moving against certain high cover pieces

Operation 3/TU5 Versus Tuning:

General Updates

Momentum/Roadie run boost

  • Gaining a speed boost from a cover slip, vault or step-up requires a short time at maximum run speed prior to taking the action
    • Speed Threshold: Players must be at 90% of their maximum roadie run speed for 0.25 seconds before a boost is available
    • Boost Window: Players have a 1 second window to activate the boost by triggering a cover slip, vault or step up after the roadie run action is stopped
    • Stopping power is considered: if a player past the speed threshold has their speed reduced below 90%, their threshold will be reset

Blindfire

  • Decreased transition time to Blindfire to 0.15 from 0.25 seconds
  • Increased Blindfire aim time to 1.1 seconds (this is how long the weapon stays up in Blindfire after shooting)

Active Reload

  • Generally reduced cooldowns around actives
    • All weapons have an active duration of 6 seconds
    • Loadout weapons have a cooldown of 12 seconds (was 20)
    • Secondary weapons have a cooldown of 10 seconds (was variable between weapons)
    • Power weapons have a cooldown of 8 seconds (was variable – 15-20 –  between weapons)

Weapon Switching

  • Reduced weapon swap delay before shooting to 0.1 seconds from 0.2
  • Reduced overall weapon swap speed to 0.5 seconds from 0.6

Weapon Specific Updates

Flashbang

  • Removed from loadout. Now available as a secondary weapon on most maps/modes
  • Grenades on pickup set to 2 (from 1)
  • Note: We intend re-evaluate and adjust this weapon with the intention to re-release as a loadout choice in a future TU

Smoke Grenade

  • Reduced smoke duration to 8 seconds from 10

Gnasher

  • Removed partial magazine reload feature – all reloads will provide full capacity to the magazine
    • A perfect active reload will result in fastest reload possible
  • All shots will now land consistently when firing immediately after canceling a cover slide
  • All shots will now land consistently when doing a quick pop-shot from behind cover
  • Significantly reduced inconsistent range calculation between the muzzle position and victim
    • Gib and pointblank damage thresholds adjusted slightly to compensate
  • ‘Poke’ damage max-potential decreased to 150 from 200
  • Reduced hipfire magnetism range by 2m (now 6m, was 8m)

Lancer

  • Magazine increased to 40 from 30 (across all game modes)

Markza

  • Fixed an issue so recoil curve and recovery escalates consistently after consecutive shots
  • Reduced damage to 120 from 125
  • Increased rate of fire to 240 from 180
  • Reduced magazine size to 8 from 10
  • Increased zoom-in factor

Snub

  • Rate of fire increased to 600 from 425
  • Damage reduced to 60 from 75
  • Damage falloff curves adjusted to deal reduced damage at long (16m)+ ranges
  • Active reload converted to a 10% damage increase from a 25% rate-of-fire increase

Boltok

  • Overall weapon damage has been reduced to 185 from 190
  • Removed 1-shot headshot at pointblank range
  • Maintained short range effectiveness
  • Mid-to-long range damage falloff increased so that damage is reduced at 12.5m and beyond
  • Active reload damage increased to 20% additional damage

Dropshot

  • Rounds on pickup reduced to 2 from 3

Operation 3/TU5 Extensive Horde Mode Tuning:

Horde Frenzy

The 50 wave experience you know and love packed into 12 intense waves – Horde Frenzy is back! Released just a few short weeks ago, Horde Frenzy is a 30 minute version of Horde that lets you play your favorite mode in bitesize format!

Beginning in Operation 3, all maps are now available in Horde Frenzy matchmaking. We’re working on bringing Horde Frenzy to Custom Lobbies as soon as we can too.

Horde Balance Changes

Since launch, we’ve been building a picture on the future of Horde based on your feedback and our experience as players.

Our goal with these changes is simple – up the fun factor as we mentioned before, reduce some of the friction in Horde and solve balancing with mostly buffs to players rather than nerfs.

Horde Tuning

  • Reduced Ammo Case respawn time in Horde from 120s to 90s
  • Jack can now carry ammo boxes on all maps. After the ammo box is used, it will respawn at its initial position.
  • Reduced the total price of leveling up a perk to level 10 by approximately 50%. Price curve adjusted to reduce the differences between each level.
  • Players can now use basic gameplay inputs during the end of wave screen in Horde.
  • Removed the “Waiting for other players…” popup during the end of wave screen in Horde.
  • Increased the amount of power gained per player from a Power Tap at each level to 200, 400, 600, 1000. (Was 100, 200, 400, 800)
  • Reduced base health of leeches from 350 to 200.
  • Reduced base health of Sentinels from 12,000 to 10,000.
  • Reduced base health of the Matriarch (Horde) from 65,000 to 55,000.
  • Boss creatures regenerate health 50% slower with Enemy Regeneration mutator activated.
  • Shooting a Guardian or Sentinel’s shield will now delay health regeneration with Enemy Regeneration mutator activated.
  • Reduced the rate Lancer GL grenades are refilled on the Weapons Locker to be consistent with the Boomshot. (15s to 40s per grenade with a Level 4 Weapon Locker)
  • Adjusted the behavior of the Reduce Ability Cooldown perk to change the total cooldown time instead of increasing the cooldown speed.
  • Added music to Horde boss waves.

PVE Weapon Tuning

*Note: There are some Escape specific weapon tuning changes that will be included in our full Update notes. All notes below also apply to Escape.

LANCER

  • Increased max ammo on the Lancer to 420.
  • Increased initial magazines on pickup to 5.
  • Increased amount of magazines on Ammo Case pickup from 2 to 3.
  • Increased bullets on dropped Lancer pickup from 20 to 50.

GNASHER

  • No longer requires a perfect active reload to reload all 6 shots in PVE.

LONGSHOT

  • Reduced Longshot active cooldown time.
  • Increased Longshot bullets on Ammo Case pickup from 3 to 4.

EMBAR

  • Increased ammo on dropped pickup from 2 to 4-6.

Characters

"Baird: Horde, Escape, Arcade" written in the bottom left with Baird crossing his arms in the background.

BAIRD

  • Doubled the damage of Baird’s DR-1.
  • Increased duration of DR-1 from 20s to 40s.
  • Increased the radius that the DR-1 attracts enemies from 16m to 20m.
  • Increased the max bleed damage on Baird’s Bloody DR-1 card from 40% to 100% (Level 5).
  • Removed the short range requirement from Baird’s Bloody DR-1 card.
  • Increase radius on Nerves of Steel from 3 meters to 10 meters.

Notes: Baird’s ultimate was a little underwhelming, and it was usually a better idea to continue benefiting from the effects of Bloody Support (bleeding damage when ultimate ready) than to send out the DR-1. Now the DR-1 will provide a burst of damage and protection that is valuable to the team.

MARCUS

  • Marcus’ Custom Lancer card now applies to all Lancer variants.
  • Increased the max damage resistance on Marcus’ Dug In card from 30% to 50% (Level 5).

KEEGAN

  • Increased the damage resistance of Resupply Healing Module from 30% to 60% (Level 5).

Notes: Healing Module could create some awesome moments, but the strength of the card wasn’t in the right place. This change should now offer Keegan the potential to save the team in chaotic situations.

MAC

  • Decreased cooldown of Barrier from 400s to 300s.
  • Increased default duration of Barrier from 10s to 15s.
  • Decreased damage delay on Mac’s Lethal Barrier card from 0.3s to 0.1s.

Notes: Mac doesn’t get a lot of opportunities to use his shield, so the precious time he has with it was usually better spent protecting himself while using Bloody Shot. Mac should now feel more comfortable using it in a wider variety of situations, because he’ll get to use it more often.

Reducing the delay on Lethal Barrier prevents quick enemies like Juvies and Leeches from slipping through the shield without taking damage. This also increases the DPS of the card, making it a more viable option.

FAHZ

  • Removed “During Ultimate” requirement on Explosive Critical Hit.
  • Changed the behavior of Icy Precision. Now applies 10% (Level 1) to 17% (Level 5) ice damage per active weakspot hit with precision weapons.

Notes: Fahz already had an initial round of buffs, but we wanted to push a little further.

Explosive Critical Hit is already difficult to use, because Fahz needs to time his kill when two enemies are very close together. Needing to also time this with his Ultimate was making this card difficult to get value out of.

We’ve completely changed the behavior of Icy Precision, because we felt the value in the previous iteration just wasn’t where it needed to be. The new version should make Fahz a formidable boss killer, and an especially strong counter to the Matriarch.

JD

  • Swap JD’s loadout Lancer GL for the Boomshot. JD can still purchase the Lancer GL from the fabricator.
  • Increased radius on JD’s Daddy’s Boy card from 2 meters to 10 meters.

Notes: JD is very strong in the meta right now, but we know that players are having a lot of fun playing as him. So instead of nerfing the damage, we’ve added a bit of a ramp-up to when JD can achieve his highest damage potential.

DEL

  • Increased radius on Del’s Best Friends card from 2 meters to 10 meters.

LIZZIE

  • Changed Lizzie’s passive to the default tank passive (Take Damage to Charge Ultimate)
  • Increase ultimate multiplier from damage for Lizzie’s Silverback Salvo card from x0.00035 to x0.0008 (1.2s per hit) (Level 5).
  • Updated the text on Lizzie’s Silverback Salvo card to be more clear.
  • Increased the total ammo on Lizzie’s Silverback Buzzkill from 20 to 50.
  • Increased the firing time until overheat on Lizzie’s Silverback Cryo Cannon from 5 to 8.
  • Allow Lizzie to purchase the Dropshot from the fabricator.

Notes: We feel like Lizzie is in a pretty good place, but there wasn’t a lot of room to play with different weapon combinations because the Trishot and Mulcher were usually the best option. We’ve bumped up the other weapons to make them more effective.

KAIT

  • Kait’s Laceration card now calculates bleed damage per pellet.
  • Removed “Enemy must be bleeding” requirement on Kait’s Blood Drain card. Renamed card to Chain.

Notes: Although some players had found ways to use Blood Drain effectively (and we applaud you) we felt that it wasn’t particularly intuitive to play. The extra ultimate time Kait can now achieve should help give a little more time to return to safety before the Cloak expires.

We’ve resolved a bug where a single pellet would deal the bleeding damage of a full spread when using Laceration. The amount of bleed damage is now based on the amount of pellets hit, but the maximum damage potential is unchanged.

COG GEAR

  • Removed Snub Pistol requirement and increased radius on COG Gear’s Helpful Headshots card from 5 meters to 10 meters. No longer requires nearby teammates for COG Gear to gain stim.
  • Edited the description of Custom Lancer to clarify that it applies to all Lancer variants.

Notes: Helpful Headshots is a cool card in theory, but it was difficult to get consistent value out of it. These changes will help COG Gear keep the team alive longer and fulfill the medic role a little better.

JACK

  • Reduced the max multiplier on Jack’s Optimizer card from 3 to 2.5 (Level 5).

Notes: This change is paired with the increase in power gained from Power Taps.

Jack is clearly the best option when it comes to the amount of power he can generate. This change should take some of the pressure off of Jack to collect all of the power the team needs, and encourage a more well-rounded strategy.

Valorant Closed Beta Announced, Here’s the FAQ

In case you didn’t know, Riot Games, the studio famously known for League of Legends, has a first-person shooter set to launch this year titled Valorant. Now, if you’re curious about the game or like what you’ve seen so far, you can take a chance and sign up for the Valorant closed beta right now.

Currently, Riot Games says that the Valorant closed beta is only limited to players in Europe, Canada, Turkey, Russia, US, and the CIS countries. The studio plans to roll out to more regions, pending logistics and whatnot.

If you got questions, Riot has answers! Check out the full FAQ for the closed beta below.

When does VALORANT closed beta start?

The VALORANT closed beta starts April 7 on PC. The go-live times are 2 p.m. CET/6 a.m. PST.

How do I get access?

If you are in the above regions, follow these steps.

  1. Register for a Riot account
  2. Link your Riot account to a Twitch account (you can get one here)
  3. When closed beta activates in your region (EU and NA for now), watch specific VALORANT closed beta streams highlighted on Twitch.

Please note that the number of players we let in is based on our current server capacity. We encourage everyone to register and we’ll let more people in as we are able. Player count will ramp up based on timelines for when we can activate more regional servers.

Will VALORANT closed beta be playable in my region?

If you’re playing from either Canada, United States, Russia, Turkey, or Europe, you have a chance to get in the closed beta. Getting the closed beta in the hands of players outside of those regions is not possible at this time, unfortunately. Our official VALORANT channels will update you if the situation changes.

Still, we want to hear from everyone who watches VALORANT gameplay online.

Does my closed beta progress carry over to launch?

No. VALORANT’s current gameplay state may very well change come launch, and it’s better that everyone’s progress begins at the same starting line.

How long will this Closed Beta last?

We’re still aiming for our launch date of Summer 2020 (a little unspecific, we know), and want to keep closed beta as short as we can while getting additional regions online. That said, if we hear a lot of unexpected feedback from players during this period, we’ll reevaluate.

What happens to the VALORANT Points I purchase during the Closed Beta?

At full launch, we will give you all of your VALORANT Points back, with an additional 20% bonus as a thanks for engaging with our work-in-progress skins and store. Here’s an example: if you buy 10000 VALORANT Points during the closed beta, you will have 12000 VALORANT Points at launch (this bonus applies even to the bundled bonus for purchasing larger amounts).

According to Riot, the in-game store and pricing are still a work in progress, and won’t reflect what’s available at launch.

Top 5 Things We Want to See in the Next Battlefield Game

While DICE hasn’t formally announced a new Battlefield game just yet, we do know it’s coming soon-ish. Chances are, we won’t hear about it anytime soon, what with the COVID-19 pandemic affecting everyone’s lives, which includes gaming development.

Having said that, this hasn’t stopped the people from MP1st from formulating our own list of what we want in the next Battlefield game. Remember, folks, this is all subjective, so don’t get too riled up if you see something you don’t like, or something that’s important to you isn’t mentioned — that’s what the comments are for.

In no particular order, here are the top five things we want to be included in the next Battlefield game. And note, most of the items here are from someone who doesn’t play with a full squad.

Proper Spotting:

I know, I know, most people hate the idea of spotting and shooting at Doritos (little triangles) in Battlefield games. But let me ask you this: how many random players (non-squad mates or people you know) actually use the spotting feature? In my hundreds — if not thousands — of hours playing Battlefield games, the time I’ve seen randoms spot is rare. So much so, that when I do find these people, I add them up as online friends.

No Attrition:

While the idea of being able to resupply ammo and get health from depots is a good idea, it’s not that good when you’re forced to do it after every respawn. Sure, you do have ammo, explosives and whatnot, but the constant need to run to these depots (especially for those who want to take out tanks) is just an unnecessary annoyance. While this problem might be mitigated by those who play the objective and have proper squadmates, those who don’t are left with another hurdle to jump through aside from taking out enemies and vehicles.

battlefield 1 stats reset

Modern Military Setting:

Sure, World War-themed shooters are back in style, but it limits the maps, guns, vehicles and other stuff in Battlefield games. By now, I think most Battlefield players will agree that it’s time for us to return to a more modern setting; one where we can use drones, modern equipment and so on.

Better Gun Customization:

Remember Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4’s fantastic gun customization options? You can choose your optics, under-barrel, and other attachments. Once that’s done, you can then choose from a multitude of camos. Along the way, it’s a blast unlocking all the attachments and gun camos while you were ranking up, and discovering which weapon fits your playstyle best.

While Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V both had gun customization, it’s nowhere near as in-depth as it was in BF3 and BF4. It’s a major step back that needs to be amended ASAP.

Full-On (or at least BF3/BF4-level) Destruction:

While we might never get another Battlefield game with the level of destruction as Battlefield: Bad Company 2, we might be OK with at least BF3 or BF4-level of destruction. It seems as, after each game, DICE scales back destruction (remember levolution?) for some reason. Is it because of the current-gen consoles not being able to handle it? Gameplay balancing? Your guess is as good as mine at this point, but I’d really want the next Battlefield game to at least bring back proper destruction mechanics since the franchise is known for it.

Well, there you have it! Do you agree with our/my list? Which ones did we forget and which ones do you not agree with? That’s what the comments are for, so head on below and let us know.

Driveclub Servers Shutting Down Tomorrow

While we posted about about last year, racing fans on the PS4 might want a reminder that one of the console’s exclusive racing games, Driveclub, is being taken off the pavement permanently starting tomorrow. Yes, after March 31, 2020, the Driveclub servers will be no more.

Here’s the exact list of things players can still do and can’t do once the servers are offline (via the official site):

PS4/PlayStation VR – DRIVECLUB, DRIVECLUB VR and DRIVECLUB Bikes

Online servers for DRIVECLUB, DRIVECLUB VR and DRIVECLUB Bikes will shut down on 31st March 2020, 23:59 BST. All online features (including online multiplayer modes) will cease on that date. You will still be able to play and enjoy these games in single player offline modes. However, the games have significant amounts of online gameplay, so from 31st March 2020, functionality will be affected in the following ways:

You will not be able to:

  • Use your season pass online.
  • Represent your Club online in multiplayer events or tours.
  • Play online multiplayer and compete in challenges.
  • Create your own events.
  • Compete in leader boards, or share stats and player progress.

You will be able to:

  • Use your season pass on all single player and offline modes.

  • Continue to play all game (DC, DC VR and DC Bikes) and DLC single player functionality in offline mode.

  • Earn trophies in single player / offline mode.

Released way back in 2014, Driveclub was from the now-defunct Evolution Studios, and was released exclusively on the PS4.

For those who are fans of Driveclub, you might want to race and compete again online just for old time’s sake.

Modern Warfare Server Update Deployed for March 30

Infinty Ward has rolled out a server-side Call of Duty: Modern Warfare server update, and it’s live now. It’s not a playlist update, nor does it do anything to the game’s meta. What it does is fix an issue with the new map, Khandor Hideout.

A patch has just been released across platforms that fixes an area on Khandor Hideout where there was a missing door. #ModernWarfare

For those unaware, there’s a bugged door in the map that can’t be accessed, though it looked like players can. It’s now blocked with some crates, which should prevent people from trying to run through it.

In case you didn’t see it, a new playlist was rolled out by Infinity Ward a few days ago that grouped some of the most played maps of the game in one playlist.

For those that didn’t catch the big update released last week, there’s not only a lot of fixes, but a ton of stuff got leaked which included content coming for Season 3, such as the maps and weapons.

If we spot any stealth changes or fixes made once again, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. If you spot any, feel free to leave a comment to let everyone know.

https://twitter.com/Jedi_Saiyan2603/status/1244599406667726848

Aside from the campaign, it seems your $30 is also going to get you the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (as the datamined leak mentioned).

The Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle includes:

  • Operator skin – UDT Ghost
  • Weapon Blueprint – Task Force
  • Weapon Blueprint – One for One
  • Weapon charm – Flippers
  • Fnishing move – Belly flop
  • Voice quip – Stay Frosty
  • Player card – No Easy Days
  • Emblem – Ghost

Well, it’s 99 percent official now. We’re still waiting for the official press release from Activision to make its way out today, and once we do, we’ll update the post with the official trailer, info and more.

Anyone getting this to relive the campaign? Don’t forget that there’s no multiplayer, so those looking for just that, you’ll want to stick with Modern Warfare for your modern military first-person shooter fix.

Rumor: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Release Date Set for Tomorrow, Will Be Campaign Only (Update)

Following the appearance of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on the Korean Ratings Board, and the game’s pre-order bonuses being leaked via the Modern Warfare 1.18 patch via dataming, it seems the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered release date is closer than you think.

Apparently, Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will be released tomorrow, Monday, March 30! This was mentioned by leaker Okami on Twitter, who also mentions that Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will be out tomorrow “99.9999%.” He also pinned “March 30th” on his Twitter profile on March 25, seemingly confident Modern Warfare 2 Remastered release date is indeed March 30, 2020.

Same with the Korean Ratings Board leak, the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered release for tomorrow seems to be for campaign only, which is being done intentionally by Infinity Ward since it doesn’t want to fragment the player base from Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer.

Important to note, Okami is correct in that Infinity Ward is adding old maps in the series to Modern Warfare, as the maps datamined that’s coming for Season 3 are rejigged maps.

Important to note that this is still considered a rumor and a leak, and should not be taken as official in anyway. That said, he/she was spot-on in his Call of Duty: Warzone leak, so we’re optimistic that he/she knows someone from inside Infinity Ward and isn’t just blowing smoke out of their asses.

We’ll know for sure if this is legt come Monday, tomorrow.

Are you ready to dive back into Modern Warfare 2’s highly controversial campaign?

Update (3/30/20): The game is on the PSN Store and the trailer has leaked, stating it’ll be out tomorrow, March 31.

Rainbow Six Siege April Fool’s Challenge Has Players Confused, Consulate Map Pulled

If you’re wondering if there’s going to be any pranks or whatnot for April Fool’s in Rainbow Six Siege this year, well, you’re going to have to figure that out yourself. Ubisoft has announced the Rainbow Six Siege April Fool’s challenge that will net the player a new gun charm! Take a look at what it looks like below.

Unfortunately, though, the vagueness of this challenge has left some players confused, with some stating that players are getting the gun charm at random being the actual joke. Different players have chimed in on how they got the gun charm and so far, there’s no fixed thing that guarantees that you’ll get it.

Some have speculated that the reward is tied to playing in a three-man squad, but there’s no definitive proof of that.

Now, in other gameplay-related issues, those playing the game, you might have noticed the lights go out on the Consulate map. It’s an unintended bug, and Ubisoft has mentioned that a hotfix is coming this week to fix it. In the meantime, they have pulled Consulate on all platforms.

[Mar 27.20] Consulate Map Deactivated
byu/UbiNoty inRainbow6

An update to the Consulate map was released with the Y5S1.1 patch which introduced a lighting issue that caused the map to be much darker than intended. We are working towards releasing a PC hotfix early next week, and Console will have the fix in the Y5S1.2 patch. Until we can release the fix, we have deactivated Consulate for all platforms to mitigate the impact for players.

Once the patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. If you’re 100 percent certain on how to get the gun charm for April Fool’s, share it below or email us, and we’ll update the post crediting the finder.

If you want more cosmetic stuff in Rainbow Six Siege, check out the latest Battle Pass and its contents here.

Report: Xbox Series X Source Code Stolen and Held for Ransom

Earlier this week, a report came out claiming that the Xbox Series X source code had been stolen, and the individual is asking for a hefty $100 million in exchange for its return.

Website Torrentfreak noted that the individual stole Navi 10, Navi 21 and Arden devices, which is rumored to be the GPU of the Xbox Series X. AMD took action by issuing DMCA takedowns on the Github repository that apparently had the stolen code.  Following, AMD issued this statement concerning the stolen property

At AMD, data security and the protection of our intellectual property are a priority. In December 2019, we were contacted by someone who claimed to have test files related to a subset of our current and future graphics products, some of which were recently posted online, but have since been taken down.

While we are aware the perpetrator has additional files that have not been made public, we believe the stolen graphics IP is not core to the competitiveness or security of our graphics products. We are not aware of the perpetrator possessing any other AMD IP.

We are working closely with law enforcement officials and other experts as a part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

TorrentFreak was apparently contacted by this individual, who opened up a bit of how the files were obtained.

In November 2019, I found AMD Navi GPU hardware source codes in a hacked computer,” the person explained. “The user didn’t take any effective action against the leak of the codes.”

The source code was unexpectedly achieved from an unprotected computer//server through some exploits. I later found out about the files inside it. They weren’t even protected properly or even encrypted with anything which is just sad.”

She then went on to claim that Arden is indeed the GPU that Xbox Series X will be using, and that if no one pays up the source code would eventually make it’s way online.

That’s a big chunk of change to pay for something without guarantees, and AMD certainly isn’t going to pony up any of that. Of course, as AMD stated, the files could possibly pose no major security risk on the core design. We will just have to wait and see where this all goes.

Resident Evil Resistance Will Feature Jill Valentine as Survivor in a Future Update

While it’s no secret that Jill Valentine is the heroine in Resident Evil 3 Remake, it seems Capcom made a low-key announcement today that Resident Evil Resistance — the free asymmetrical multiplayer mode included in Resident Evil 3 Remake — will feature Jill Valentine as a Survivor.

This reveal was tucked away in the official description of the Resident Evil 3 Remake Jill Valentine trailer.

Jill Valentine’s escape from Raccoon City is fraught with danger, but she still has some dependable allies to rely on… as well as some enemies to watch out for. Jill won’t just be the star of Resident Evil 3, though – she’ll also be added as a playable Survivor in Resident Evil Resistance in a future update.

Speaking of Resident Evil Resistance, the open beta for the PS4 and PC version has been pushed back with no definite release schedule given yet.

Resident Evil Resistance will be out alongside the Resident Evil 3 Remake this April 3 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We should hopefully have a review up in the coming weeks to follow.
