Call of Duty Warzone 2FA Added to PC, Cheaters Upset Due to Account Restriction

Earlier this week, Infinity Ward announced that they are enabling two-step SMS authentication (also known as 2FA) for new Call of Duty Warzone PC players as an added layer to combat cheaters. Well, it seems this Call of Duty Warzone 2FA security measure has worked to some degree and to hilarious results too.

Over on the Call of Duty Warzone subreddit, the second most upvoted thread (currently at over 10K upvotes) is how a cheater is upset at how this Call of Duty Warzone 2FA security layer have locked him and other cheaters out of the game due to their banned accounts being tied to their phones.

For those not familiar with how 2FA works, here’s a quick explanation by SearchSecurity:

Two-factor authentication (2FA), sometimes referred to as two-step verification or dual-factor authentication, is a security process in which users provide two different authentication factors to verify themselves. This process is done to better protect both the user’s credentials and the resources the user can access.

I find it particularly extra delicious to see cheaters whining because they can’t cheat anymore. To their credit, Infinity Ward has been very steadfast in combating Call of Duty Warzone cheaters, and this new step the studio has added seems to be one of the best ways to combat this.

If this works, don’t be surprised to see 2FA implemented in other games to combat cheaters as well.

Are you fine with Infinity Ward’s enabling of Call of Duty Warzone 2FA for PC players or do you feel it’s a little too much? Let us know down below in the comments.

The Division 2 Title Update 9.1 Patch Notes Revealed, Patch Out Tomorrow

After the announcement earlier this week that The Division 2 Title Update 9.1 would be delayed to another day this week, Ubisoft has announced that the patch will be available tomorrow during maintenance. Not only that, but the studio even released The Division 2 Title Update 9.1 patch notes ahead of time, too!

The Division 2 Title Update 9.1 patch notes:

Maintenance

The servers will shut down for maintenance on Thursday May 14th at

  • 09:30 CEST,
  • 03:30 AM EDT,
  • 12:30 AM PDT.

Estimated downtime is approximately 3 hours.

NPC & AI

Developer comment:
The balance changes in Title Update 9.1 are intended to eliminate outliers with NPC weapons, abilities and behaviours. These are specific fixes and a first pass at balancing these outliers, if further adjustments are necessary then they will be made in Title Update 10. We are also looking at global _NPC balance with Title Update 10.

NPC Status Effects Nerfs

Developer comment:

  • Certain NPC status effects were too strong. With TU9.1 we are adjusting their damage to players.
  • These changes also affect PvP status effect damage.

Changes:

  • Reduced damage caused to players by Burn status effect
  • Reduced damage caused to players by Bleed status effect

NPC Weapon Nerfs

Developer comment:

  • Certain NPC weapons dealt significantly more damage than others. These changes should bring them more in-line with other NPC’s damage output capabilities.

Changes:

  • Reduced damage and out-of-cover accuracy of SMG used by red-bar Hyena Assault.
  • Reduced range of Cleaners Tank’s flamethrower.
  • Nerfed Hyena RC Cars:
    • Reduced damage of Hyena RC Car explosion.
    • Reduced duration of lingering ground fire from Elite Hyena RC Car explosion.
    • Reduced duration of Burn/Confuse status effect applied by Elite Hyena RC Car explosion.
    • Reduced how often Hyena RC Cars are deployed.
  • Nerfed Black Tusk Suicide Drones:
    • Reduced damage of Black Tusk Suicide Drone explosion.
    • Reduced how often Black Tusk Suicide Drones are deployed.
  • Fixed issue where NPCs could throw a Firefly variant which did an excessive amount of damage to Players.

NPC Grenade Throw Accuracy Nerfs

Developer comment:

  • NPCs were too accurate with their grenades. These changes introduce the idea of each NPC having an optimal distance for their grenade accuracy. The further away the NPC’s target is the less accurate their grenades will be. The optimal distance varies based on faction and veterancy.
  • For example: The Outcast Thrower’s Molotov optimal distance is ~20m. The Hyena Thrower’s Airburst optimal distance is ~30m. If the player is 35m away, then the Outcast will be less accurate than the Hyena at that distance.
  • Distance from target has less of an effect on the accuracy of Elites, Hunters, Rogue Agents and Legendary NPCs.

Changes:

  • Reduced grenade accuracy with distance to target.
  • Reduced accuracy of Hyena Thrower’s Airburst, Black Tusk Mini-Tank’s Grenade and Cleaners Turret’s Napalm Airburst.

NPC Blindfire Accuracy Nerfs

Developer comment:

  • NPC Blindfire was too effective. These changes reduce NPCs’ possible damage output while blindfiring.

Changes:

  • Reduced how accurate NPCs are while blindfiring.
    • Note: Legendary get more accurate the longer they are blindfiring (but this is still significantly less accurate than before this change)
  • NPCs no longer blindfire with a Shotgun or Sniper Rifle.
    • NPCs instead switch to a pistol to blindfire with.
    • Note: Hunters, Rogue Agents and some bosses are an exception (and break this rule).
  • Tank archetypes no longer blindfire their weapons.

NPC Aggressiveness

Developer comment:

  • There is no easy global fix for NPC Aggressiveness. There was no intentional desire to increase NPC aggressiveness with TU8. Instead the shift in global difficulty from TU7 to TU8, surfaced underlying issues with various NPC behaviors which could result in them being overly aggressive. These fixes only address some sources of the perceived NPC aggressiveness, we are still investigating other sources and working on fixes.

Changes:

  • Reduced frequency and aggressiveness of NPC behavior to advance on hidden targets (Players who have not been exposed for a long duration).
  • Fixed prolonged aggressive circling caused by some NPCs’ reaction to targets being too close (Players who are within ~5m of them).
    • This affected the Hyena Assault, Cleaner Assault and Outcast Assault.
  • Fixed some status effect reactions which could cause non-tank NPCs to path towards players aggressively.
  • Further lowered likelihood of Tank archetypes to rush towards Player Hives/Turrets to stomp them.
  • Adjusted status effect reaction priorities to fix issue that allowed Ensnared NPCs to still move if Blinded/Burned.

NPC Ability Nerfs

Developer comment:

  • Certain NPC healing abilities were too strong. These changes reduce their strength.

Changes:

  • Black Tusk Support Station Tuning:
    • Support Station no longer heals mechanical NPCs (Warhounds, Mini-Tanks, etc).
    • Support Station no longer heals destructible props (which are objects Players must destroy in a mission).
  • Legendary version of Support Station now checks line of sight and has healing cap amounts like normal version.
  • Armor kits no longer completely heal Bounties and other bosses.
    • Note: Hunters still heal completely.

Player Buffs

Developer comment:

  • The below are adjustments should improve options in the player’s toolkit to counter NPCs. We are reviewing more changes like these for TU10.

Changes:

  • Buffed Player Skills Survivability:
    • Reduced how much damage Player Skills take from NPCs.
  • Buffed damage of Player Status Effects:
    • Increased damage caused to NPCs by Bleed status effect.
    • Increased damage caused to NPCs by Poison status effect.
    • Increased damage caused to NPCs by Napalm Ensnare status effect.
  • Buffed In-Cover Blindfire for Players:
    • Reduced size of Player’s hitbox (against NPCs) when they are in cover and are blindfiring.
    • Dev Comment: This should make it feel less risky for Players to blindfire at NPCs.

Store

Instant Season Level unlocks.

  • Players are now able to purchase Instant Season Level unlocks.
  • A Level can be purchased for 100 Premium Credits in the Season UI.

Bug fixes

  • First improvements to the issues causing FPS drops in Dark Zones during extractions and longer play sessions.
  • Fixed issues that could cause the NPCs for the Saturn Manhunt and Gold King bounties to spawn past a closed gate and making them inaccessible.
  • Fixed an issue causing players to be unable to enter the Technology Laboratory in Kenly College.
  • Fixed an issue causing players to be unable to remove the Recommended Activity projects from the HUD.
  • Fixed an issue causing the friendly Oxidizer Chem Launcher Skill to cause damage to allied player Skills.
  • Fixed an issue causing the Frenzy talent to incorrectly stay active after swapping weapons.
  • Fixed an issue causing players on Stadia to crash when accessing the Central Aquarium Classified Assignment.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Seeker Mine Skill to have a lower than intended cooldown.
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to be unable to interact with the scrambler during the Settlement Blockade activity.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the doors to not open during the “Break through the Black Tusk Forces” beat in the DARPA Research Lab Main Mission.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause progression to be blocked after getting killed by Rogue Agents during the Invaded Grad Washington Hotel Main Mission.
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to be unable to pick up keys in Operation Dark Hours normal mode after interacting with the crates.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause several Kajika bosses to be spawned in the Pathway Park Main Mission.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause enemy NPCs to spawn out of thin air during Open World Activities.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause two buttons to have the same function when engaging in a Global Event and having a GE reward available.

Same as always, once the patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. At the very least, The Division 2 Title Update 9.1 patch notes available now should let you know what’s in store for tomorrow.

PS+ Will Provide a Smooth Transition Into PS5; Sony to Discuss New Product When Time Is Right

While Sony isn’t yet ready to discuss the PlayStation 5, the company has in the very least given us some general guidelines as we head into next-gen, expecting their PlayStation Plus service to provide a smooth transition into the PS5 lifecycle.

Early this morning, Sony held it’s quarterly financial earnings call to discuss revenue stream and the outlook for the rest of the year. Amongst the news that the PS5 is still on track for this Holiday season,  Chief Financial Officer of Sony Corp., Hiroki Totoki talked a bit about the transition into their next-gen console, the PlayStation 5.

When you look at our results over the mid to long term, you can see that our Game business is steadily growing as evidenced by the growth of network services such as PS Plus and we expect this growth to continue going forward. The proportion of network services revenue continues to increase mainly due to the increase in PS the number of PS Plus subscribers.

We aim to leverage this large community and network services revenue stream to affect a smooth transition from the current console generation to the next, unlike in the past when profitability deteriorated significantly due to development and marketing costs incurred.

When asked during the Q&A segment about the ongoing trend seen in the third-quarter reportings for PS Plus and how big titles can draw in subscription, here’s what Hiroki Totoki had to say:

We have to steadily increase the membership for PS Plus. And how to increase the efficiency of retention there are a number of plans and ideas. Of course in August there was a revision of the price. If you subscribe for the entire year, you enjoy a certain discount and this has led to the increase of steady stable users. In providing such the users would enjoy the online multi-play and free play and also 100-giga PlayStation 4 is also combined and also they enjoy the promotions for discounts.

And by combining different ideas, the users’ favorite start and we were able to increase the membership. There is a trend of increasing the membership during the third quarter but by improving the services and providing a variety of services, we would like to continue this trend and have a robust increase of the customer base.

Now about the future generation, of course, we would definitely like to increase the base to prepare for the next-generation of the product. But there is very little that I can discuss about the future generation of the console today. But when the time is right we will disclose the new product.

Obviously, common sense tells us that PS Plus is going to be available on the PlayStation 5, but from the sound of things, it looks like Sony plans on ramping things up as we inch closer to the PS5 launch. Whether that’s going to be new major titles that are only available on the PS5, existing PS4 ones or a new type of offering all together is remained to be seen. As they said, they will talk about it when the time is right.

Unreal Engine 5 Will Allow Movie Quality Assets in Video Games

Unreal Engine 5 is set to bring some major graphical advancements as content creators will no longer have to downscale movie assets given the engine will be able to bring that same quality of details to video games.

Speaking to Geoff Keighly during the Summer Game Fest stream, Epic Game’s own CTO Kim Libreri took to discussing how Unreal Engine has been used in other mediums outside of video games, and how Unreal Engine 5 will be tieing things together between all media uses.

“So one of the great things about nanite is that it finally allows content creators of all kinds to be able to use movie quality assets. So there really won’t be different. If your building an environment for a film, versus a video game, or making an IP that’s transmedia, you can build things the same way now. We’ve had so much exposure to film customers over the last few years that we really wanted to remove the barrier for them and game makers. Right now, you just pick a high-resolution asset you want, load it in, and you don’t have to think about the level of details or normal maps or any of the usual stuff that goes into making game content. It’s a pretty freeing experience for anyone trying to tell a story or make an experience.”Kim said, “Now you don’t have to have that distinction, nanite will just take the movie assets and do the right things with it.”

That’s a pretty big improvement in terms of details, and will certainly ease the development process now knowing that a single asset can be made. We can see these benefiting studios that make TV shows and films, most notably Sony as they have a whole division dedicated to film making. Perhaps a series like Ratchet and Clank will finally be able to achieve that perfect Pixar look they’ve been aiming for? Who knows, but it certainly has us excited.

Unreal Engine 5 Gives Us a Taste of Next-Gen

Unreal Engine 5 has officially been announced, pledging full support for the next-gen platforms, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

To get an idea of what this updated engine can do, here’s a video that debuted during the Summer Game Fest event.

Now that’s what we call next-gen! The newly updated engine will support both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and will supply developers with a whole new development toolset. It will support a number of “next-gen” features, including ray-tracing, improved lighting and visuals, and other exciting new features. Unreal Engine 5 should be available later next year for developers to use for commercial releases. In the meantime, Unreal Engine 4.25 is set to be releasing within the months and will be adding initial support for next-gen consoles so developers can get a head-start on development. Once developers have access to UE5, they will be able to easily backport their projects from any early versions of the engine.

With Unreal Engine being such a widely used engine, and most recently used in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, expect to see a large number of developers to move on to the next-gen version. We’ll be sure to keep you all posted on any new announcements in the meantime.

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath New Gameplay Features RoboCop, Sheeva and Fujin

As promised by NetherRealm Studios, a Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath new gameplay trailer has been released today, and it gives us a look at the new fighters entering the roster with the DLC. Players will see RoboCop, Fuijn and Sheeve featured with actual gameplay where we see their special moves and more.

  • Fujin is the God of Wind and serves the Elder Gods alongside his brother, Raiden, as a Protector of Earthrealm. First playable in Mortal Kombat 4, he’s adept at inspiring goodness and heroism to conquer the forces of hatred and tyranny and fights to ensure Earthrealm’s bright future. The immortal Fujin uses his sword and crossbow in combat and unleashes his powers as a God through a variety of wind-manipulating attacks to control his weapons, his movements and even his adversaries.

  • Sheeva is the four-armed, half-human, half-dragon queen of Outworld’s ancient Shokan race. First playable in Mortal Kombat 3, the powerful Shokan warrior leads her people in the quest to attain their rightful place as partners in Outworld’s rule. The male Shokan once scoffed when Sheeva entered the contest to become their next leader, but after a resounding victory, she proved herself to be superior and was crowned the first queen of the Shokan. The heavy hitting, master brawler employs her grappling fighting style to take down enemies and uses her faithful shield and unblockable teleport stomp to strike fear into the hearts of anyone who might oppose her.

  • RoboCop, formerly known as Alex Murphy, was a dutiful police officer who was brutally executed by a local gang. Brought back to life through OCP technology, Murphy was transformed into RoboCop, a highly advanced cybernetic police officer designed to uphold the law and protect the innocent. Now making his debut in the Mortal Kombat franchise, RoboCop has received a few upgrades and enters into battles equipped with a deadly arsenal of weapons, including his Auto 9 pistol. He also employs a flamethrower, riot shield and shoulder cannon that he can load with various types of ammunition to apprehend any Kombatants who stand in his way. RoboCop in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath features the voice and likeness of actor Peter Weller, who portrayed the popular character in both the original “RoboCop” (1987) film and “RoboCop 2” (1990) sequel.

Also included in this Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath new gameplay trailer are the new Dead Pool, Soul Chamber, Kronika’s Keep and RetroKade stages, as well as some of the select Stage Fatalities, which will be available as part of the free content update that will be included with Aftermath’s release. Also included for free, are the new Friendship, which you can watch here.

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath will be out this May 26 on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

PS5 Holiday 2020 Release Still on Track, No Major Software Problems at This Time

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Sony Interactive Entertainment has assured fans plans for PS5 Holiday 2020 release are still on schedule, and that the company has yet to be hit by major development problems on the software side of things.

In a prepared statement found on this year’s quarterly earnings report, Sony has given this update regarding the PlayStation 5.

Although factors such as employees working from home and restrictions on international travel have presented some challenges in regards to part of the testing process and the qualification of production lines, development is progressing with the launch of the console scheduled for the 2020 holiday season. At this point in time, major problems have not arisen in the game software development pipeline for Sony’s own first-party studios or its partners’ studios.

Of course, this isn’t to say that COVID-19 hasn’t affected the company in any other way as performance forecast is no longer being projected by the company. In addition to this, while existing hardware for the PlayStation 4 is still selling, the company has stated supply chain issues are affecting the console. However, it’s effected to be a short-term issue as the company slowly begins to return to the level of operation before the virus had hit.

The company didn’t elaborate on whether the PS5 launch would be as big as they had initially planned, but at least we know that they are still pushing for this year.  As for why they’re being so silent on the promotion of the PS5, it was stated that they have strategic planning in the works and need to ensure they keep fundings balanced between marketing and other areas. No hints were given on when we could expect to see a full PS5 reveal, but seeing that it’s coming this year, we’re hoping it’s within the next month or so. Until then, stay tuned!

Are you confident with the PS5 holiday 2020 release schedule or do you think it’ll be delayed?

Predator Hunting Grounds Roadmap Is Highlighted by the Return of Arnold Schwarzenegger

Teased back in March, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be making a surprise cameo in the latest Predator game, as Illfonic today revealed the Predator Hunting Grounds roadmap.

Headlining this month are two major content drops. The first of these two is a free game update that will add new audiotapes. These audiotapes are voiced by none other than Arnold himself, who once again reprises his role as Dutch, from the original 1987 film. It has been a little over three decades since we last heard from him, and these audio tapes are set to explain where he has been all these years. Definitely exciting news for Predator fans out there, but this isn’t the only release will see around him as a paid DLC will also be dropping, adding the character himself to the game!

Players who purchase the first DLC will also be granted early access to the QR5 “Hammerhead” Rifle and Dutch’s Knife. These items will become available for free to everyone come later in June.  As for what else is ahead? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see as the roadmap doesn’t actually tell us outside of there being a free update and paid DLC every month until August, with more being teased.

The update will be going live on May 26th. We’ll be sure to keep you all posted with the patch notes, along with any other details that may arise in terms of future content for the Predator Hunting Grounds Roadmap. Predator huntings Grounds is now available on the PlayStation 4 and PC.

Apex Legends Update 1.37 Introduces Season 5 and Loba

Apex Legends update 1.37 is finally here, legends! Respawn Entertainment has released the Apex Legends patch that introduces Season 5 Fortune’s Favor, and the new legend, Loba! Clocking in at 20GB on PS4, check out the full Apex Legends update 1.37 patch notes below.

Apex Legends update 1.37 patch notes:

NEW LEGEND: LOBA

Loba

Stylish, sophisticated, and resourceful, Loba uses her Jump Drive bracelet to teleport where she pleases and takes what she wants.

Tactical – Burglar’s Best Friend

  • Teleport to hard-to-reach places or escape trouble quickly by throwing your Jump Drive bracelet.

Ultimate – Black Market Boutique

  • Place a portable device that allows you to teleport nearby loot to your inventory. Each friendly or enemy Legend can take up to two items.

Passive – Eye for Quality

  • Nearby epic and Legendary loot can be seen through walls.
  • The range is the same as Black Market Boutique.

Learn more about Loba on her Lore page here.

MAP UPDATE: KINGS CANYON

Goodbye Skulltown

Skulltown and Thunderdome have fallen. A new POI, Salvage, has been added to the Broken Coast. Across the map, the Offshore Rig connects to the former Relay and Wetlands. Wetlands has been replaced by the excavation of the Capacitor, which has a new underground pathway to Singh Labs. Nesting Grounds has continued to regrow into the Reclaimed Forest, which features an expanded Singh Labs exterior and a small camp outside of The Cage. Check out our blog post here for more information on these changes!

Kings Canyon will be the only map available for two weeks after the season launch, so players can have time to fully explore the changes and meta shift. After the two week honeymoon period, Map Rotation will start rotating World’s Edge Season 4 into the mix.

CHARGE TOWERS

Charge it up

Charge Towers are new devices unearthed in the excavation of Kings Canyon. Activate them to grant a full Ultimate charge to any Legends standing on the platform when the charge blast goes out.

SEASON QUEST: “THE BROKEN GHOST”

Introduces Apex’s first Quest – a season-long search for 9 pieces of a mysterious relic. Find your first daily Treasure Pack in any competitive match to get started on your hunt, and enjoy free weekly drops of new Story, Gameplay, and Rewards along the way. Learn more about Quests in our blog post here.

SEASON TAB

All seasonal content has been moved into its own tab in the lobby. Here, you can find the Battle Pass, Quest, and Challenges tabs. Future events in this season will show up here as well.

Quests!

BATTLE PASS S5

Skins!

Fight your way to glory with the Season 5 Battle Pass. Complete Daily and Weekly challenges to unlock over 100 exclusive items including exclusive Legendary skins, gun charms, skydive emotes, Apex Packs, XP Boosts, load screens, and more.

RANKED SERIES 4

This new season starts a new Ranked Series! This season we are sticking to mostly the same format but have also introduced a key feature, Reconnect.

RECONNECT

Players that leave a match unexpectedly can now rejoin their match in progress. “Unexpected” means exiting the match through any means other than the system menu, including crashing, using alt+f4 on PC, or “dashboarding” to close the game on console. To reconnect, simply restart the game and enter the lobby. The game will automatically attempt to reconnect you if the match is still valid, your squad is still alive, and your chance to reconnect hasn’t timed out. Reconnect will be available for all competitive modes.

Disconnected players’ characters remain in the state they were in while the player was connected. To their teammates, it will look a bit like the disconnected player has gone afk (with an icon next to their name to indicate disconnection). This means when the player reconnects, they can immediately continue where they left off. Unless, that is, they were killed beforehand. Player characters can be knocked out and eliminated while the player is disconnected. Disconnected players whose characters have died can be respawned normally, by taking their banner to a respawn beacon, before or after the player has reconnected.

If a player doesn’t reconnect in time,  the disconnected player’s character is removed as normal, and the game will treat their disconnect as an abandonment. There is a limited time window in which a player can reconnect and failing to do so in Ranked will result in a loss penalty. Loss forgiveness does not activate until a player is fully removed from the game, so don’t drop from a ranked match when your squadmates have a chance to reconnect!

To read more on Series 4 Ranked, Read the blog here.

CONDITIONAL LEGEND CHATTER

Under certain pairings, Legends will speak to each other differently when prompted with normal dialogue cues. How does Loba thank Revenant for a revive? She sure doesn’t say “Thank you.”

There are many pairings if you are interested in hearing what everyone has to say. Experiment!

LEGEND UPDATES

Mirage!

Mirage

Now it’s a party! Your favorite trickster has learned a few new tricks to bamboozle his enemies in this new rework for Season 5.

Designer Note: The hope for this rework is that it gives more depth to Mirage gameplay by giving Mirage players avenues to get better at Bamboozling people.

  • Tactical: Psyche Out
    • Pressing the character utility action button allows Mirage to gain control of his decoy.
    • When controlling the decoy, it will mimic Mirage’s every move.
    • Decoys now last for 60 seconds.
    • Releasing another decoy will remove the previous decoy.
  • Ultimate: Life of the Party
    • Mirage deploys a team of decoys that mimic his every move (think “Emergency Dance Party” from DUMMIEs Big Day).
    • Cooldown 60 seconds.
  • Passive: Now You See Me…
    • In addition to cloaking when downed, Mirage also cloaks while using a respawn beacon and reviving a teammate (the teammate is also cloaked).
  • Mirage’s “You got Bamboozled” line will now trigger when you bamboozle an enemy, instead of when you release a decoy.

Bloodhound

  • Tactical: Eye of the Allfather
    • Increased Sonar Detection from 3 seconds to 4 seconds.
    • Decreased Cooldown from 35 seconds to 25 seconds.

Crypto

  • Tactical: Drone
    • Crypto can now ping banners, while in drone, to warn teammates of nearby squads.

Lifeline

  • Increased Lifeline bin ratio to 20%
  • Removed Knockdown Shields from Secret Compartment loot pool

Caustic

Designer note: this is something that is a bit of an experiment.  We will be keeping an eye out to make sure this change doesn’t cause any degenerate player behavior.

  • Friendly gas no longer slows teammates.
  • Caustic traps are no longer triggered from the other side of a door.

Octane

Designer note: This is a first step in pushing more team utility for Octane. We have more updates planned but they didn’t make the cutoff for this patch.

  • Launch Pad cooldown is reduced from 90 seconds to now 60 seconds.

Gibraltar

Designer note: Internal data shows that Gibraltar’s performance in individual fights is in a good place, but we want to bring down his power a bit in team fights.

  • Reduced Dome Shield duration from 18s to 12s.

Pathfinder

Designer note: Given the power of quick repositioning in Apex, being able to use Pathfinder’s Grappling Hook multiple times in a fight is both too powerful and muddies combat legibility.

  • The cooldown for Grappling Hook has been increased from 15 seconds to 35 seconds.

WEAPON AND LOOT UPDATES

Season 5 is the first season Apex doesn’t get a new weapon. We stepped back and asked ourselves, does Apex need a new weapon every season? If we continue to add new weapons, the weapon pool will become saturated. We believe there is a “right” amount of weapons in the loot pool, and we think we are currently in that sweet spot. Vaulting weapons is not an option (because players have purchased skins), so we are forced to be more creative. We have some ideas on how to address it, but we need some time to test them and make sure they are healthy for Apex. We also want to make sure that weapons we add have real value to the gameplay. We have some fun stuff in the works. Our weapons team is hard at work. In the meantime, we hope the changes listed below can get you excited to learn and master the Season 5 weapon meta.

  • We’re excited to announce that at the start of Season 5 we will be adding Apex servers to the Middle East as we look to further support our fans in the region.

You can check out gameplay footage of Loba right here. If you’re on other platforms, let us know how big this Apex Legends update 1.37 patch is for you.

Zombie Army 4 Update 1.08 Brings New DLC Content & More

Rebellion has released a new Zombie Army 4: Dead War patch today, and it brings the second wave of DLC and more! Console gamers will see this as Zombie Army 4 update 1.08, and you can check out the patch notes below.

Zombie Army 4 update 1.08 patch notes:

  • Support for new Weekly Events (including rewards)
  • Support for new DLC: Blood Count (Mission), Renegade Officer (Character), Gas Mas Headgear Bundle, Mortar Shotgun Bundle, Bloodsoaked Weapon Skins
  • Bugfixes and improvements

If you’ve yet to get the game, it’s a surprisingly fun romp! Check out our review here and see why we gave it an 8/10 and state:

Zombie Army 4: Dead War may not be pushing the series to new heights, and that’s okay as it offers exactly what players come to expect. Its story is engaging enough with its campiness, environmental settings will keep you hooked, and the online co-op makes more fun of the dumb fun nonsense that the solo play already supplies. I highly suggest Zombie Army 4: Dead War to anyone looking for a good co-op game. That and anyone wanting more zombie slayings in their life.

You can check out the full roadmap planned so far to see what else is coming down the line.

Warframe Update Today May 12 Brings Railjack Revisited Changes, Brings Version to Warframe 1.85

Digital Extremes has finally released the big Warframe update today May 12 edition, that brings the Railjack Revisited changes. The studio calls this update 27.4.3, but console gamers will see this as Warframe update 1.85. Check out the huge list of patch notes below.

Note that this is part 1, and even then, this is a long patch notes documentation.

Warframe update today May 12 patch notes (Warfame update 1.85):

Console Specific Notes:

  • Selecting “Defaults” in the ‘Customize Controller’ Options will now give you the option to choose to either default ‘All’ bindings or just those in the current tab.72e0d10140d9b5f46d9e4b3a39fc10e7.PNG
  • Fixed opening the “search” function in several menus while moving the virtual cursor causing it to continue to drift in that direction.
  • Added a new Omni Tool binding! The default binding is R Button + Right Directional-Pad button, to customize go into your Options > Controls > Customize Controller > Ability Menu > Bind ‘Equip Omni’.
    • The Omni Tool will only be equipped using this shortcut option if it is in the Gear Wheel!
  • Fixed outstanding issue on chat where you’d see loading spinner instead of  “your access to chat has been suspended” when banned. Possibly related to the following chat issues: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1180373-region-specific-chat-issues/?do=findComment&comment=11558142
  • Fixed controller triggers not working correctly if bound to an analog action (such as camera up/down in Decoration mode).
  • Fixed inability to select duplicates of a Mod when using direct text input with a controller.

Nintendo Switch Specific Notes:

  • Fixed certain graphics settings (notably Adaptive Exposure, Glare, Film Grain, and Color Correction) not changing if you reset them to defaults.
  • Fixed UI bug that showed the “Reset Camera” binding indicating that nothing is bound to it when it actually is in game.
  • More fixes towards pink squares appearing in Railjack missions, as reported here: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1162947-graphics-assets-and-ui-are-broken-plz-fix/
  • Optimized some temporary memory used on Nintendo Switch.
  • Made a micro-optimization for Switch text rendering (non-flash).

Railjack Revisited (Part 1):

Tenno! We are continuing our Warframe Revised update pattern – this time with a focus on Railjack. Earlier this year we released ‘Warframe Revised’ which touched a lot of Warframe, but also included a big batch of bug fixes for Railjack. Now it’s time to dive deeper into key areas: Pacing, Balance, and Tools of the Trade.  Not included in this Revist: Intrinsics,  Missions, and other areas. These are bigger undertakings for later Parts, but expect more revisions to come (to Malfunctions too)! The key intention behind this Railjack Revisited update is to make Railjack better paced and more fun, while also being more rewarding for your time.

General Changes:

  • Doubled the Railjack’s innate loot-pickup (Vacuum) Range.
    • We’ve also improved the way that Vacuums pull items towards the player and the Railjack. The maximum amount of time it takes for the pick-up to reach the player should be a little more consistent now (about 0.75 seconds in most cases).
  • The Sentient Anomaly in the Veil Proxima will no longer have downtime – it will rotate every 30 minutes to a different node with no downtime in between.
  • Changing the pacing and general feel of all Railjack Piloting and movement to be less reliant on the optimal strategy of “Single strafe Boost then Repeat”:
    • Doubled the Railjack’s base Speed.
    • Lowered Boost Speed by 75%.
    • Increased the Boost Speed cost of dodge.
    • Increased Boost Drain.
  • Made scale a factor in damage reduction and bonuses. This means Archwings and their weapons will do more damage to ships, while also taking less damage from them.
  • Fixed inconsistencies with the sensitivities of the emplacement positions (side turrets now match the pilot turret).
  • Doubled Revolite crafting yield from 50 to 100.
  • Tripled values of Titanium and Asterite resource drops.
  • Grineer on-foot enemies now drop Archwing Mods, and Captains drop Operation and Dual Stat Archwing Mods.
  • Changed the Omni tool to slot into the first available slot in the Gear Wheel when given to players instead of being appended to the end.
  • Removed unnecessary ability to use the Omni tool outside of Railjack missions.
  • When transitioning between Railjack missions, your Warframe/Operator Health/Shields will be restored as well as any Vazarin instant Revives.
  • Railjack sessions will lock after 5 minutes or if 50% of the Fighters have died – similar to normal sessions.
  • Railjack Missions will reward more Credits at End of Mission to tie some of the main currencies into the reward structure more heavily.
    • Earth Proxima Missions reward 30,000 – 45,000 Credits depending on the node.
    • Saturn Proxima Missions reward 50,000 – 75,000 Credits depending on the node.
    • Veil Proxima Missions reward 80,000 – 150,000 Credits depending on the node.
  • Removed the whirly spin move of one of the Sentient fighters. He was having just a little bit too much fun and the other Sentients were just not having any of his funny business.
  • Updated the look of the Taktis Grineer Fighter ships.
  • Made slight visual updates to the search bar in the Avionics screen.
  • Made the hit notification sounds clearer when making contact with an enemy fighter.
  • Removed the mention of ‘Archwing Catapult maneuvers’ from the Engineering Intrinsics description due to none of its Ranks relating to the Archwing Slingshot. You can find Archwing Slingshot improvements under the Gunnery Intrinsic!
  • “Reset Defaults” and “Randomize All” buttons in Railjack cosmetics screen will reset the camera to the overview when viewing the exterior. This makes more sense as these buttons apply changes to the entire ship, and also fixes an issue where if you were focused on the decal or name then the position would be wrong after changing the Railjack skin.
  • Your Pet Companions will teleport alongside you when transitioning between different regions in a Railjack mission (ie Omni Recall, Archwing Slingshot, boarding a Crewship via Archwing, etc).
    • This addresses feedback that Pet Companions could take many seconds to catch up, or if it’s bleeding out, won’t catch up at all, thus dying frequently. This also fixes Pet Companions sometimes dying on an exploding Crewship that you’ve already departed from.

Ship Combat Changes:

  • Changed all Health, Shield and Armour to use the new Tenno versions introduced in Warframe Revised.
  • Halved the Health and Armour of all Grineer Fighters.
  • Randomized the amount of Fighters required to be killed during the Extermination portion of the Skirmish mission so it’s not always the same.
  • Decreased the amount of time between landing the killing shot to the enemy explosion on Fighters (0.1 – 1 sec) down from (1-3) seconds. The effect of this will be not only a quicker pace, but also a quicker time to spawn any drops.
  • Shield Recharge delay remains at 5 second based on Public Test results.
  • Railjack Weapon heat build up changes:
    • Apoc – Sigma/Lavan/Vidar heat build up reduced from 20 to 12. Zekti from 40 to 20
    • Carcinoxx – Sigma/Lavan/Vidar heat build up reduced from 10 to 8. Zekti from 20 to 12
    • Cryophon – Zekti from 400 to 350
    • Photor – Sigma/Lavan/Vidar heat build up reduced from 10 to 8. Zekti from 20 to 12
  • Railjack Weapon changes:
    • Milati Multi Missile
    • Reload speed increased from 5 secs to 2 secs
    • Projectile speed increased from 250 to 400
    • Pulsar damage increased:
  • Sigma/Lavan/Vidar
    • MK 0 – 43 to 52
    • MK 1 – 78 to 94
    • MK 2 – 133 to 160
    • MK 3 – 213 to 256
  • Zekti
    • MK 1 – 117 to 141
    • MK 2 – 200 to 240
    • MK 3 – 320 to 384

On-Foot Combat Changes:

  • Reduced the Health of all on-foot Grineer Railjack enemies by half.
  • Removed scaled damage controllers from all on-foot Grineer Railjack enemies.

Pacing Changes:

  • Added Caps for the amount of simultaneous Railjack Hazards (Fire, Electric, and Breaches). Your Railjack can only have 1 of each Hazard active at a time.
  • Made each RJ Hazard type even more, MORE harmful to the Railjack based on Public Test results.
  • Reduce Railjack Speed and Damage when Railjack is in “Catastrophic Failure” mode.
  • Increased the amount of Omni Revolite required to remove hazard events, but quadrupled the XP gained:
    • Fire Hazard: From 600 to 2400
    • Electricity Hazard: From 600 to 2400
    • Ice Hazard: From 600 to 2400
    • Hull Breach: From 600 to 2400
    • Hull Rupture: From 1000 to 4000
  • Increased the number of fighters in all alert stages.
  • Enemies now spawn much closer to the Railjack vs. 1000+ km away.
  • Destroying all engines on a Crewship now disables weapons.
  • Destroying all engines on a Crewship kills half the crew on board.

Archwing Changes / Fixes:

  • Longstanding issues with the usability of Archwing Melee has been fixed.
    • Made numerous changes here based on Public Test results, including further Melee weapon rebalancing.
    • Increased base Melee magnetism range from 100 to 140m
    • Decreased chance of Enemy Fighters performing a maneuver to break away from Melee attacks from 100% to 10%.
    • Increased camera offset from Enemy Fighters from 25 to 30m to help show action.
  • Archwing Melee Range Mods now affect aim assist lock-on range.
  • Archwing Gun stats normalized – space combat now uses ground “Heavy Weapon” stats.
  • UI Lead indicator has been added to relevant Archwing Guns.

Systemic Changes:

The Kuva Lich ‘Valence Fusion’ is coming for built Armaments and Components. Introducing RAILJACK VALENCE FUSION – players will be able to fuse duplicate built or unbuilt stats to their favourite built parts, boosting them. Based on Public Test Cluster feedback, this no longer requires built Armaments and Components to Valence Fuse: Wreckage can be used, with a resource cost (Max 40%!). Built Armaments and Components can also be used and consumed, with a Dirac cost.

  • Requires Dirac to perform if VALENCE FUSION occurs for built Armaments and Components.
  • Requires Resources and Credits if VALENCE FUSION occurs for Wreckage of Armaments and Components.
  • Combining matching tiers gives 10% boost in stats
  • Combining lower tiers gives 5% boost in stats.
  • Two tiers removed (Mk3 with Mk1) is 2% boost
  • You can only VALENCE FUSE the same House and type of Armaments and Components across all MKs – much like Kuva Lich Weapons.  Also Sigma equipment (your starting equipment or purchased from the Dojo) cannot be upgraded in this way.

Affinity and Intrinsic Gain Changes:

  • Doubled Affinity-to-Intrinsic Point conversion. You will now gain Intrinsics 2x faster.
  • Increased the earned Affinity on killing Elite Fighters and Outriders.

Avionics Changes:

  • When it comes to Avionics changes, there’s an overarching goal: Simplify Avionic management.
  • Each Integrated Avionic Type will only exist with a single Manufacturer rather than three Manufacturer flavors. What this means is that there won’t be 3x variants of the same Avionic.
  • Consolidated Avionics have had their Avionic Capacity Drain altered so that on average the Integrated Avionics now consume 20% less. This ensures players can more comfortably fit the builds they want in the new consolidated system based on Feedback from the Public Test Cluster.
  • The ‘retired’ Integrated Avionics will be removed from players inventory via a script on login.
  • The remaining Integrated Avionic for each Type will take on the values of the previously highest valued Avionic of its Type.
  • ALL Dirac used to upgrade Integrated Avionics will be refunded. This applies to both retired and remaining Avionics.
  • ALL remaining Integrated Avionics will have their Upgrades drained.
  • Added ‘Incomplete’ tab/category to the Avionics screen in the ‘Configure Railjack’ panel, Mods Segment screen, and the Codex.
    • Avionics, Mods, and Arcanes that are not owned are marked as ‘preview’ in this category and those that you own but have not ranked to Max are also in this category.
      d8532f8fac79b0fa78be5197a97280b0.jpg
  • You can now Chat Link Avionics!

Battle Avionic Refresh:

Countermeasures

  • Initial use cost of 5 Flux Energy, double cost if used again within 4 secs up to a cap of 40 energy (5/10/20/40)

Blackout Pulse

  • Display range stat on all marked targets while projectile is in flight
  • Increased radius from 100 to 200
  • Increased damage from 250 to 500

Particle Ram

  • Requires forward velocity to be active
  • Increased speed of projectile when its launched
  • Increased length of projectile so targets stay within the damage field as long as they did before with slower projectile
  • 50% more Damage during a Vector Maneuver
  • 100% more damage when launching the Particle Ram
  • Now accepts energy colour.

  • Display range stat on all marked targets while projectile is in flight

Railjack Fixes:
Expand the spoilers below for the full list of fixes!

  • (Re-posting here in case it was missed in the hotfix notes on April 22nd) Fixed inability to access the Tactical Menu (R Button + Right D-Pad button) while Piloting or using side Turrets the Railjack with a controller as reported here: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1180095-unable-to-open-tactical-menu-while-piloting-railjack-with-controller-fixed/?do=findComment&comment=11525327
  • Fixed attempting to exit the Railjack right when the Host selects another mission to warp to resulting in the left-behind player dying and sometimes unable to Revive.
  • Fixed lingering Revo Reducer buff after equipping and unequipping the Revo Reducer Avionic until they complete a mission or leave their Dojo.
  • Fixed cases where the doors in the Railjack would have collision and prevent players from passing through them.
  • Fixed inability to load into the Dojo via Railjack Navigation.
  • Fixed Railjack Reactors that have the “50 Shield per unused Avionics Capacity” perk not applying the perk when first loading into a Railjack mission.
  • Fixed Clients having a 5 minute Arch-Gun Deployer cooldown if you were outside the Railjack when a Host migration occurred.
  • Fixes toward seeing an inescapable black screen if you were inside a Crewship as the Operator when it exploded.
  • Fixed ‘Reflex Aim’s’ snap aiming not properly targeting the ships from a split Gyrex.
    • The target lead indicators will now follow the ships split from the Gyrex, but since radial damage does not hurt them, ‘Target Sync’ will not lock-on to them. This was set this way so that players do not waste their Munitions.
  • Fixed Chroma Elemental Ward issue where casting it on yourself through the Railjack Tactical Map, then overriding it with your own cast causing the bonuses from the Tactical Map cast to never expire.
  • Fixed base of the Railjack Wing Turret appearing to float in front of the Client player when mounting said Wing Turret.
  • Fixed a functionality loss when Recalling back to the Railjack while performing a finisher.
  • Fixed a functionality loss when using Transference while transitioning through a loading tunnel (Void tunnel).
  • Fixed Clients out in space that experience a Host migration, resulting in an ability to take your Heavy Weapon into the Railjack and POIs as a regular ground weapon (Primary).
  • Fixed being placed inside an Artillery and falling through the level to escape if you used Join Warp on a player on said Artillery.
  • Fixed your Warframe’s body not moving with camera aim when using the Railjack’s Forward Artillery.
  • Fixed using Transference when Piloting or using side Turrets in Railack as Operator causing it to cast the first slotted Battle Avionic.
  • Fixed Clients loading into an untextured level when sitting in the Archwing Slingshot during a Host Migration.
  • Fixed Focus Convergence Orb markers appearing in Space instead of inside the ship when piloting Railjack.
  • Fixed starting a second Railjack mission preventing Melee Finishers from working until respawned.
  • Made multiple fixes for jittery and weird cloth physics when hanging out in the Railjack. This also fixes issues of rigid cloth after dismounting from the Pilot seat.
  • Fixed Clients loading into Railjack missions from Dry Dock after accepting an invitation from Host getting stuck in infinite loading.
  • Fixed issue where Clients would get stuck in the Forward Artillery and above the intended area in the Railjack when entering and exiting the Forward Artillery back to back.
  • More fixes towards players finding themselves in all kinds of brokenness when using Archwing Slingshot on a Crewship that had just been destroyed.
  • Fixed elements of the Tactical Menu map disappearing in certain aspect ratios.
  • Fixed Clients getting left behind when starting a second Railjack mission from the Dry Dock and Hosts getting stuck in infinite load.
  • Fixed objective markers sometimes not showing after subsequent Railjack runs as Host.
  • Fixed fighter/Crewship objective markers reappearing after migration when they had already been completed.
  • Fixed Operator faces getting all messed up when piloting Railjack. Space fighters are thankful they no longer have to witness that horror anymore.
  • Fixed meltdown projector showing for players that are still inside the Crewship.
  • Fixed multiple issues related to Railjack for Clients invited to someone’s Orbiter including:
    • Fixed an issue where using “Board Railjack” / “Return to Orbiter” from the top menu while not close to the action itself would fail to execute it.
    • Fixed an issue where Clients would spawn in a “random” spot on the Railjack instead of in the bridge like the Host does if they were still in the Orbiter.
  • Fixed the waypoints for Commanders in Railjack missions not having distance information.
  • Fixed Dragon Key debuff indicator appearing as a red dot in the HUD when Piloting the Railjack.
  • Fixed purchasing a Glyph to equip on your Railjack only applying the icon, but not setting the selected item. This resulted in the Glyph slot name not updating and selecting to equip a new Glyph would auto focus the old Glyph you had before the purchase.
  • Fixed teammate buttons in the Railjack Tactical Menu overlapping the location text.
  • Fixed super long Railjack names overwhelming the Railjack HUD.
  • Fixed UI becoming unresponsive after opening the Nightwave screen as the Operator when returning to the Dry Dock from a Railjack mission.
  • Fixed Elemental Resistance Avionics not Ranking up properly.
  • Fixed accessing the Railjack Arsenal from the Orbiter leading to camera placement issues.
  • Another fix towards getting stuck on a black screen when using the Archwing Slingshot into an exploding Crewship and then trying to leave.
  • Fixed a script error leading to broken/missing Railjack HUD when Piloting or using Turrets after loading into a Railjack mission as a Client (or following Host migration).
  • Fixed UI becoming unresponsive if the ‘view mission progress’ screen was open while transitioning to another Railjack level or Dry Dock.
  • Fixed Randomizing Railjack Glyph through the “Randomize All” option not applying the new Glyph until Railjack Configuration menu is exited.
  • Fixed Heat Accretion stat comparison appearing backwards.
  • Fixed “on hit” Arcanes triggering when using Railjack weapons.
  • Another fix towards “Tactical Efficiency” (Tactical Rank 6) not modifying the Flux Energy cost of using some Battle Avionics.
  • Fixed a crash associated with Crewships.
  • Fixed Garuda not being able to Melee after leaving and re-entering Railjacks.
  • Fixed several Railjack related script errors.

Defendable Objects: Healing AoE and Damage Reduction Changes:

Our Healing AoE / Damage Reduction changes posted back on April 3rd are arriving with this update! If you’re unfamiliar, ultimately what we want is more ‘Healing’ Abilities to work to allow for more strategies to emerge in various mission types. Healing these objectives can serve well as an alternative or a complement to the commonly used defensive Abilities, such as Frost’s Snow Globe, Gara’s Mass Vitrify, Limbo’s Cataclysm. 100% heals is not what we want to do, so we are instead allowing the effects with some objective-specific adjustments as to not trivialize the game modes.

Heal Source

Effect on all types of static Defendable objects (Cryopods, Excavators, etc)

How did this work before this Update?

Gara – Mending Splinters

  • Directed Convergence (Supra): +100% Accuracy when Aiming.

  • Double Tap (Latron): On Hit: 20% Bonus Damage on next Hit for 2s.

Simulor/Synoid Simulor Changes:

  • We have made the following changes to the Simulor/Synoid Simulor:
  • Increased per stack damage for stacked orbs:
    • Simulor: 20 to 50
    • Synoid Simulor: 20 to 80
  • Increased damage of exploding vortexes:
    • Simulor: 75 to 100
    • Synoid Simulor: 75 to 240
  • Increased the duration of active vortexes to 20 seconds before they explode (unless done so manually).
    • Simulor’s vortex lifetime will remain at a 5 second duration in Conclave.
  • Reduced the lifetime duration of a single Orb before it explodes.
    • This allows single projectiles to be used offensively as they now detonate quickly and have had their damage increased significantly.
    • Creating vortexes now happens rather quickly. Shoot 4 orbs in quick succession to create a fully powered vortex. With this we also added a max number of active Orbs to 4.
  • Added a max number of active vortexes at a time to 3 and increased the orb stack count to reach a fully powered vortex from 3 to 4.
    • With the significant increase in damage and lifetime of active vortexes, and with the added bonus of individual orbs providing more utility, adding a cap to the number of active vortexes and increasing the orb count for maxed vortexes felt appropriate to strike balance with the changes.
    • Once 3 fully maxed vortexes are active, the Simulor will now default to single-shot orbs – with the reduced lifetime of a single orb, there are now more ways to use the Simulor against enemies!
  • Removed the initial stagger on enemies that would occur on vortex creation.
    • We removed this effect so that enemies aren’t pushed out of range of the vortex as much.
  • Updated Simulor and Synoid Simulor’s FX!

Scarlet Spear Changes & Fixes:

With the Operation ending on May 14th @ 1:30 PM ET on consoles it is possible that with Cert turnaround time these changes and fixes might not go live before its conclusion. It is also possible that the changes do in fact go live, but with only a handful of days left to the Operation. We know that both of these scenarios are not ideal, and we apologize. We do however have plans to re-run the Operation this year and the following list will be live with its second run!

  • Increased the Murex Raid Satellite’s Armor.
    • This change was brought forth by feedback regarding the Satellites being too squishy against Crewships as you progress into the Murex Raid mission.
  • The Murex Raid Satellite now must be towed to its correct location before you can deploy the Oplink.
    • We found that a number of  “no kill codes received” reports were not receiving Codes because their Satellite was not properly in place, thus making the squad ineligible to receive Kill Codes. Most squads followed this flow already so it shouldn’t feel too different – just a precaution for those who don’t park their Satellite in its designated zone!
  • The Aerolyst canister mechanic now has a 10 second cooldown before the canisters refill after becoming stunned from destroying all of them.
    • Our intentions here are to alleviate some frustration over the Aerolyst canister mechanic that we’ve been receiving. If you were quick to dispatch the Aerolyst before you likely won’t notice a difference!
  • Fixed the Aerolyst enemy giving less-than-intended Affinity.
  • Fixed inability to destroy the Aerolyst’s canisters if you were attacking in Limbo’s Rift.
  • Fixed Operator Magus Arcanes not functioning in consecutive Murex Raids.
  • Fixed a rare progression stopper where the Condrix remains invulnerable while open after a Host Migration occurs.
  • Fixed UI breaking in Murex Raid due to Host vs Client load times.
  • Fixed an edge case where Clients who joined a Murex Raid mission in progress wouldn’t receive intermittent rewards that appear after each Murex is driven away.
  • Fixed an edge case script error that occurred when receiving a Kill Code, which could result in not receiving said Kill Code.
  • Fixed Arcane Momentum not activating for Critical shots on the Condrix.
  • Fixed mission objective UI icon to “Retrieve the OpLink Satellite” showing as “*” instead of the mission objective marker. With this we also fixed other UI screens not showing the correct icons or key bindings (such as the ability menu while piloting the Railjack with a controller).
  • Fixed a script error when a Murex Wave succeeds during a mission.
  • Fixed a script error when deploying your Oplink in the Ground Assault mission.
  • Fixing script error occurring when the Aerolyst uses its wing attack.
  • Fixed a script error when completing a Condrix wave in the Ground Assault mission.

General UI Changes:

  • The in-game Market will be receiving a refreshed look with the addition of top level filters:
    • Your chosen UI Theme will be reflected when viewing the in-game Market!
      • Now that the Market uses Themes you can now see more details about items on hover and view Weapon stats.
    • Moved Market filters to be grouped with the search bar.
    • Added filter to ‘Hide Mastered’ items.
    • Added “NEW” tag for new items.

      888a0c34e0665b8806e469037ba7cc16.jpg

  • Updated the Relic Pack Relic contents screen (when purchased in the in-game Market and from Syndicates) – it will now show each Relic’s contents better categorized by rarity.
    • Also added ‘Common’, ‘Uncommon’,  ‘Rare’ tooltips over rarity icons
      34fc69a9f60f0de9cc85bb6383728653.jpg&key
  • The Invite screen has a fresh new look and has been polished:

    • Improved the hover indicator to be clearer when selecting from the list.
      4f95cb0ddaacac08e60b4bb354b722c5.PNG
  • Added ‘Daily Standing Cap’ information to the Bounties screens in Cetus and Fortuna.
    a3fb55b50fb6fd7dd6e361f90e48947b.jpg&key
  • The Leaderboard screen has been refreshed to apply your chosen UI Theme and display information/options in a cleaner way.
  • Added Riven compatible items component to Riven Unveil screen when Unveiling a Riven and when viewing a Riven via Chat Link!

  • The Trading screen will now prompt you with a warning when you’re about to Trade an Arcane that is currently equipped.
  • You can now search the Mods Codex section via Drop Location by entering the location in the search bar (ie Arbitrations, Nightwave, Earth, etc).
  • Banshee, Excalibur Umbra, Frost, Nekros, Nova, Nyx, Oberon, Saryn, Valkyr, and Zephyr Ability videos have been added to their respective Arsenals! We’re all caught up now!
  • Reduced spacing between mini-map and objective text when fighting Eidolons.

General Changes:

  • Removed Stance Forma eligibility on Exalted weapons due to Stance Forma providing no benefit to these weapons.
    • With the exception of Garuda’s Talons due to the Talons using standard Stance Mods instead of an Exalted Stance.
  • Replaced the Atlas Prime Helmet Blueprint with the Atlas Prime Systems blueprint in the Lith N4 Relic that was recently indeed to the mix.
    • The Atlas Prime Helmet Blueprint was accidentally put into the Uncommon slot, when it is indeed a Rare piece.
  • Fast Traveling to Little Duck in Fortuna as your Warframe will no longer initiate the unskippable dialog with her. Instead, you’ll Fast Travel to right beside her but won’t initiate the conversation, giving you time to Transfer to your Operator to talk to her.
  • Titania Prime’s Razorwing Energy wings will be hidden when aiming to avoid blocking your sight.
  • Grineer Forest tileset ferns will dither when the camera is close to them to help visibility when shooting.
  • Changed the Alliance MOTD to read “EDIT ALLIANCE MESSAGE” instead of “EDIT CLAN MESSAGE” when attempting to edit said message.
  • Added a ‘click’ sound when cycling through zoom options with Sniper Rifles.
  • Titania Prime has been given her own unique dodge/roll animations that flow better with her floating movement!
  • Instead of having to re-aim at your placed Waypoint to remove it, now you can remove your Waypoint by holding the button!
  • Helminth Cysts will be able to be removed in the Helminth Infirmary after one day as opposed to waiting a whole week.
  • You will be able to sell your duplicate Garuda, Harrow, Octavia, Revenant, and Nidus Blueprints for 2500 Credits from your Inventory.
  • You will be able to sell Syndicate 10x Restores for 2500 Credits.
  • Increased the Status Chance of the Twin Grakatas to match their mechanic of firing 2 rounds at once.
  • Disabled Exalted Weapon Rivens from generation. Any Exalted Weapons that may have been generated will be re-rolled on login.
  • Polished the handless cartwheel and knock back animations from self-interrupt weapons. Also fixed the knock back distance and slide to be more aligned so that the Warframe isn’t just standing still.
  • Changed Grendel’s Nourish ability description to “Inflict Toxin damage on Feasted enemies in Grendel’s gut one by one, adsorbing nourishment to buff allies. Tap to cycle through buffs and hold to cast.”
  • Updated the grunge on the Corbu Shawzin to make it edgier for all your shredding needs.
  • Polished the Grattler Heavy Gun’s fire and reload animations. Also fixed an errant animation that played when equipped.
  • Improved camera collision against water so that it doesn’t penetrate and go underwater as much.
  • Improved Mirage’s Sleight of Hand’s detection of light and dark areas to decide which booby trap to spawn. Also fixed a bug where the ‘package’ could use the wrong type of explosion based on light/dark in certain situations.
  • Made some slight changes to Corinth Prime’s sound mix.
  • Multiple invites from players will no longer stack the invite received sound FX to save your ears from the increasing volume.
  • If a player sends an invite to someone who has “Do Not Disturb” mode on it will say “(Player Name) is using Do Not Disturb and will not receive invitations”.
  • Khora’s Spikes (her default back attachment) will be an Auxiliary attachment to give players more customization options with Syandanas.
  • Added support to Sword & Board skins to have consistent main-hand holster positions and scaling regardless of base weapon.
    • This also fixed Sigma & Octantis shield popping closed and opened again when holstering.
  • Increased the text fields on the Mastery Rank Up message to better accommodate other languages.
  • Updated the Orokin Tree mesh and materials to be higher quality.
  • You will be able to customize your Kavat’s Emissive color, which will affect their tail and eye color.
    • This option also fixes not being able to change the color of the fan-like Kavat tails due to it being based on energy color.
  • Titania will no longer be to play the Shawzin while in Razorwing due to it resulting in a very broken flying state.
  • Domestik Drones will no longer start semi-hidden in the Decoration placement mode. They will now be fully visible instead of its previously glowy state!
  • Updated Infested hit/stagger reactions to give the player more understanding of when player attacks are landing!
  • Minor tweaks to Excalibur’s Radial Javelin cast effect and gave it some ground interaction (ice chunks when cast over ice, etc).
  • Improved Liset previews (Xiphos, etc) by adding respective Liset animations, FX, etc.
  • Reduced Shedu’s projectile brightness FX.
  • Reduced the Basmu’s firing sound FX from other players.

  • Fixed outstanding issue on chat where you’d see loading spinner instead of  “your access to chat has been suspended” when banned.
  • Fixed Sentient Battalyst laser party ability not respecting physical Shield abilities, such as Frost’s Snowglobe and Atlas’ Tectonics, and instead going through the barriers to injure players.
  • Fixed Lech Kril not being affected by Viral Status Effects.
    • The same rule of Status Effects reacting with Bosses or VIPS (added in 27.3.9) applies here.
  • Fixed certain boss attacks (Ropalolyst’s laser attack and Profit Taker’s missile for example) not respecting Shield Gating and killing players in one hit.
  • Fixed the Braton Vandal being sellable for only 1 Credit. We increased the sell price to 7500 Credits so that it matches most other Primary Weapons.

Told you it’s a big update. In other news, Digital Extremes is interested in a cross save feature but here’s why it’s not happening yet.

PlayStation Studios Opening Animation Revealed and Has That MCU Vibe

Sony has today revealed the PlayStation studios opening animation, which players will see for all the PlayStation-exclusive titles moving forward. It’s a short seven-second trailer, but it’s one awesome one, I have to admit.

PlayStation Studios Opening Animation:

In a new feature on GamesIndustry, it’s mentioned that the PlayStation Studios brand will go live alongside the PS5’s launch later this year, and will only be featured on games developed and managed by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) Worldwide Studios organization.

If you saw the clip, and you’ve seen an MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie, you might have noticed similiarties of some sort, and this thought hasn’t been lost on Sony themselves, though they mention that the inspiration from it comes from the games says Eric Lempel, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment.

What we really wanted to do was create a way to bring the consumer into the world. When they play our games that’s the nice robust piece that happens, and then you’re transported into an adventure with rich worlds, old characters, and really captivating stories. We’re all huge Marvel fans. One of our biggest games of all time has a Marvel character in it with Spider-Man. But this is really about doing something specific for our games and our industry.

Lempel adds that this trailer will be present on a bunch of different places, will have variations in existing trailers and so on. Think of this as Sony’s seal of approval for games.

You’ve seen the animated asset that will exist primarily during the beginning of our titles, but the brand will exist in a lot of different places. There are different, shorter animations that will exist in trailers… It will exist in advertising. It will be in any other creative assets, such as the game packaging and the game discs themselves.

We think this is a good way to let consumers know that, if they see it, then the quality games they’ve come to expect from us are here. And this brand will exist for well-known existing franchises, as well as brand new franchises that we have yet to explore.

With this set to go live with the PS5, don’t expect this branding to be part of the The Last of Us: Part II or Ghost of Tsushima when both games launch this summer.

What do you think of the PlayStation Studios opening animation? I’m personally excited to see it evolve over time as Sony aims it to be.

Dead by Daylight 4th Anniversary Event & Stream Planned for Later This Month

It’s been four years since Behaviour Interactive’s launch of the hit asymmetrical multiplayer game Dead by Daylight. To mark this occasion, the studio is holding a Dead by Daylight 4th anniversary devstream on May 26, where developers, fans and more will breakdown the most recent developments within the game, and of course, new content will be shared as well.

Here’s the Dead by Daylight 4th anniversary message to fans:

During these exceptional times, the Dead by Daylight team has worked hard to prepare a panel-based review of the past year and most notably of the year to come. Panelists will be presenting from their homes; giving fans and journalists alike the breakdown of the most recent developments within the game, what the ever active and thriving Dead by Daylight community has been up to and will end with the reveal of Chapter 16.

This new chapter will feature a classic license, one that has marked the world of horror since its inception. As with every new Chapter, it will feature a new map, a terrifying new killer and a mysterious survivor.

See you in the Fog.

The Dead by Daylight team.

MP1st will be sure to deliver the livestream of this event come May 26 at 2 p.m. EST. You’ll be able to watch it on Twitch or YouTube, and of course, right here on the site.
