In other Destiny 2 news, the Destiny 2 community has made a list of known issues the game has post Season of the Worthy patch (2.8.0).
Remember that rumor where it said that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will see the light of day this year? Well, that rumor seems to be on-point, or at least parts of it is. It seems the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered campaign has popped up on the Korean ratings board!
While this is in no way a direct confirmation, most (if not all) games that appear there have been released, since well, why would you submit a title to the ratings board other than to release it, right?
Check out the listing below.
There’s no guarantee that we’ll see the title out this year, but don’t be surprised if we see it out before the year’s done. That said, I hope it releases with the multiplayer, though I’d understand if they released the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered campaign first (perhaps as a pre-order bonus for the alleged Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 reboot), and release the multiplayer sometime soon.
In other Call of Duty news, James C. Burns, the actor who plays Sgt. Frank Woods in the Black Ops franchise, is teasing something for tomorrow! A new rumor has also surfaced stating that the Call of Duty 2020 reveal is happening in May.
No pricing has been listed yet, though we can most likely expect it to cost around the same as the previous skin pack, which was $9.99.
There’s also a new pistol dropping Monday that makes the standard pistol a fully automatic pistol. Down below is a clip from what we assume is from the launch day trailer for Monday’s patch.
If the zombies could think, they’d think twice about facing anyone with the Machine Pistol.
Again, all of this will be launching this Monday with the World War Z crossplay update. The PS4 should be getting an update the same day, however it most likely won’t have crossplay support as Saber Interactive have stated this will come at a later date.
Join forces with other platforms against the tides of undead in the Crossplay Update, coming March 23!
Xbox One and PC players now matchmake from the same pool. It’s up to you to hold the ground until PS4 arrives in the future! pic.twitter.com/KNrSIos62K

Following yesterday’s huge Call of Duty 2020 leak, it seems someone close to the game has decided to speak out on something, though we just don’t know yet. Actor James C. Burns, who voiced Sgt. Frank Woods in Treyarch’s Black Ops series has teased something in a new video.
Burns says , “I play Sgt. Frank Woods in Call of Duty: Black Ops 1, Black Ops 2, Black Ops 4, and…we got to talk. Yeah, man, there’s a lot of leaks, a lot of rumors, and I think after 10 years, you guys deserve to know what I know.”
Burns mentions that he plans on doing a live YouTube broadcast at noon PST on Saturday, where he says that he’ll talk about “whatever it is” people want to talk about. He will also livestream a play session of Black Ops 1 and states that he’ll be dropping behind-the-scenes (BTS) info as he plays. This will happen via his YouTube channel.
Is this about Call of Duty 2020 which is rumored to be revealed in May? Maybe, maybe not. I gather, Activision might be readying a cease & desist order of some sort before tomorrow, so who know if it’ll push through. If it does though, expect us to cover it here. Even if there’s no Call of Duty 2020 leaks that come out of it, we’re still interested to know some secrets from the franchise that only people involved are privy to.
Following the other day’s reveal of a new and upcoming hero “Echo” in Overwatch, we now have the Overwatch Echo abilities list and gameplay which showcases her insane Ultimate! First things first, it’s now confirmed that Echo is yet another DPS hero which might be a bummer for some, but it is, what it is. Check out the gameplay footage below.
Check out Overwatch head honcho Jeff Kaplan talk about Echo’s abilities and the design process behind her.
If her Ultimate called “Duplicate” sounds a bit overpowered, it seems to be just that. In a Twitch stream conducted earlier today by TimeTheTatMan with Jeff Kaplan, Echo’s Ultimate was shown off, which left some players worried. Check out the captured gameplay of it which has people (namely the Overwatch community) worried since Echo apparently has 650 percent increased Ultimate generation for 15 seconds!
Important to note that Echo is now in the PTR, so Blizzard will be able to adjust anything they find out of the ordinary or game-breaking. There’s no release date set yet for Echo, but given she’s already in the PTR, expect her to fly out soon-ish.
What are your thoughts on Echo so far? Just right or is her Ultimate kind of overpowered in its current state? let us know down below in the comments.
Hi-Rez Studios has released Paladins update 2.15 and it’s a super small download — at least on PS4. As one might expect, given we just got the big Sands of Myth update, this one is once again for fixes and nothing more.
Clocking in at just 80MB, the people on the Paladins subreddit state that this was a hotfix for the “capture” bug, and a fix for the “no voice packs and announcers bug.” And that’s basically it, it seems.
There could be a chance that Hi-Rez Studios changed something that affects gameplay, but we doubt it. Nonetheless, if there are any, feel free to share what you spot down in the comments below. We’re also keeping an eye out and will update the post if we get anything.
In case you haven’t played Paladins yet, it’s a free-to-play hero shooter made by the people behind SMITE (Evil Mojo Games, which is an internal studio in Hi-Rez), and mixes sci-fi with fantasy, which explains the rather off-beat character designs and whatnot. If you’re curious, you can download it on PC, PS4 and Xbox One now and for free.
For more Paladins news and updates, make sure to tune in regularly here on MP1st!

With the global COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the world as you read this, businesses and more are affected, and that includes the gaming industry as well. One game that will (slightly) be affected is Rainbow Six Siege.
In a new announcement, Ubisoft has mentioned that “smaller patches” will be cut in the short term due to the virus.
As news on COVID-19 develops, a work from home policy will be enactedfor the health and safety of the Rainbow Six Siege development team.
While the day-to-day experience will remain unchanged on Rainbow Six Siege, we foresee that smaller patches will be cut in the short term. This will not impact upcoming content that is ready for release in the current update. However, after assessing the impact on future planned content releases and we will keep the community up to date on any shifts in timelines that might occur.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope that everyone stays safe during these tough times.
This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has addressed the pandemic. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot sent a letter out to employees encouraging them during this troubling times.
No, that headline isn’t a mistake. Despite many retailers closing their doors to consumers as a preventative measure against COVID-19, GameStop believes that the should remain open as they are essential to consumers during these times.
The report comes from Kotaku, whom of which were able to receive a company memo issued to staff.
“Due to the products we carry that enable and enhance our customers’ experience in working from home, we believe GameStop is classified as essential retail and therefore is able to remain open during this time
We have received reports of local authorities visiting stores in an attempt to enforce closure despite our classification. Store Managers are approved to provide the document linked below to law enforcement as needed.”
Understandably, many are currently looking towards gaming as a means to keep them busy during these city lockdowns. In fact, so many that it has actually broken records on Steam with overall gaming and streaming usage seeing a massive boost. So it’s no wonder why GameStop may feel that they are an “essential” retailer as many are flocking to gaming.
However, let’s be perfectly clear here, GameStop is anything but that. We have all heard of a story coming out of GameStop, and this certainly isn’t doing them any favors by putting their own employees at risk, along with the public, just to take advantage of the current opportunity. At the end of the day, playing video games is a hobby and a want, whereas stores that fall under the essential category are typically suppliers of food and medical supplies, something we actually need.
In the least, shortly after the Kotaku article went up, GameStop did issue a statement saying they would work on cutting down store hours.
We are working diligently during this unprecedented time to provide our customers & associates with the safest environment possible. Please see below for details on new changes we are enacting & click here for our full statement: https://t.co/qP9jDQUmjspic.twitter.com/d99kxviz7Q
At a time like now, people should focus on what they need instead of what they want, right? Gaming is a luxury and not a necessity. At the very least, people can also buy their games digitally/online, so even then, GameStop isn’t an “essential” retailer.
A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
This was teased by YouTuber and reliable leaker LongSensation, where he teased this with a .gif of a chopper reminiscent of the ones used during the Vietnam War, which suggests that this year’s Call of Duty game is connected to the Black Ops series.
While the COD 2020 reveal might be set sometime in May, he also mentions how the game isn’t “looking so” great at the moment, and states that it could be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2020 CoD isn’t looking so great atm. It’s also possible that the #coronavirus and compulsory shutdowns could cause a game delay. This doesn’t just apply to Call of Duty, but likely to a lot of games we all know and love.
Same as with any rumor, treat this with a grain of salt as it is not official. That said, LongSensation has a good track record, and even leaked the name of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 as just “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” when most assumed it would be called Modern Warfare 4.
Also of note, reliable leaker TheGamingRevolution also references LongSensation, and in some cases, have the same info, which leads me to believe that these two might have the same leaker.
Given rumors that Treyarch took over lead development duties for this year’s Call of Duty from Sledgegammer Games and Raven Software, this might be why it still looks rough around the edges currently.
Are you ready to see or hear abot the new Call of Duty game this May or are you having fun with Modern Warfare that it doesn’t really matter to you?
With more and more countries issuing lockdowns and quarantines to try and stifle the ever-growing COVID-19 pandemic, one entertainment avenue has been a big benefactor of it all and that’s gaming.
This doesn’t just mean gaming as in playing video games, but also those watching content related to gaming. Reports from streaming tools StreamElements and Arsenal.gg have mentioned that viewership on both YouTube and Twitch have risen significantly over the past week, with Twitch getting a 10 percent bump, while YouTube has seen a 15 percent uptick.
As for gaming itself, remember when we reported that CS:GO has, for the first time, reached the one million concurrent player count number? As a whole though, digital platform Steam reached a record 20.3 million users on March 15, with 6.4 million of these people actively gaming according to SteamDB.
Of course, this isn’t really all that surprising given that online gaming is possibly the safest way to interact with friends right now given the current global situation. If this continues, the next problem gamers will come across might be game server outages, net speed issues and the like. Mind, whle these aren’t ideal, it’s still better than getting hit with the virus.
Now if you’re part of the gaming populace who’s playig it safe by staying at home, we got a long list of multiplayer games that you should check out to make the downtime easier.
Stay safe, everyone, and just stay at home, watch a few movies and play games.
Media Molecule has released a new game patch for its action, game creating title Dreams! This is Dreams PS4 update 2.07 and it brings a few new stuff and fixes. For the official Dreams PS4 update 2.07 pathc notes, head on down below.
Dreams PS4 update 2.07 patch notes:
What’s notable?
Playable Scenes and Dreams can no longer be stamped into a Dream unless you are the author or collaborator of the Scene/Dream and the parent creation.
Prizes from Art’s Dream are now… remixable! Yay!
Comments now have a 2 minute frequency limit per creation, so you can’t post another comment on the same creation until 2 minutes have elapsed.
Comments will also now have to be at least 5 characters in length.
Other improvements
Fixed: issue where users could lose the pink block before the deleting step of the homespace tutorials.
What other new content and features are you hoping to see Media Molecule add in this game creating title of theirs? We’ll be covering Dreams more extensively moving forward, as we’ve seen some amazing fan-made projects on the platform.
Crytek has released a new Hunt: Showdown patch for consoles and it’s live now! Called the Hunt Showdown 1.2.1 patch, console gamers will see this as Hunt Showdown update 1.03, and it brings a host of gameplay and technical fixes.
Hunt Showdown update 1.03 patch notes:
GENERAL CHANGES
Control Improvements
Reduced perceivable delay after in-game camera rotation and character movement (Input Lag).
Developer note:
With our latest fixes to input lag, we’ve shaved off the most outstanding delays Hunt had between player input and on-screen responses. When you try out the new update you should definitely feel like aiming is more responsive, as we are now ensuring that input is processed in the same frame it is read by our systems.
This is not to say all delay has been eliminated, some will still remain, both in hardware latency from your controller to the console, but also on our end due to the way the rendering pipeline is built. We are still investigating ways to further improve on this end, but be advised that any improvements to be made will take a much longer time to materialize. However, we are confident that the changes we’ve done now will already present a world of difference in the quality of your experience, and we are looking forward to hearing your feedback!
Increased sensitivity setting ranges.
Developer note:
In line with the improvements to input lag, we took the opportunity to also adjust some of the settings for controller sensitivity. Players now have effectively three times the range compared to before to adjust their sensitivity settings. (Please note that for the sake of readability in the menu, we only increased the maximum amount from 2 to 3 visually, but incorporated a new scale factor.) Players, who wish to reduce the ‘ turning extra strength ‘ setting (acceleration at input limit) should now be able to achieve more comfortable turn speeds. We recommend that players adjust or reset their sensitivity settings to fully utilize all adjustments that we have made and find the best settings for them
Disabled the aim assist feature for the Nitro Express rifle in order to avoid it being exploited in close-quarters fights.
Default Gamma
Increased the default Gamma for Playstation 4 in order to help with extremely dark locations (especially during Night Time contracts).
Stability
Fixed a number of crashes.
KNOWN ISSUES
Performance & Stability
Clients might crash during gameplay or upon loading back to the menu.
UI & Meta
Book of Weapons item unlock popup repeats after every Training session if an item was unlocked in the last normal mission before playing the tutorial.
Persistent grouping doesn’t work sometimes when returning from a match.
Starting the game with a completely new profile doesn’t show the Tutorial Hunter selection screen (the hunter can still be selected manually though).
Disabled “Auto-Hide Equipment Display” and “Auto-Hide Health and Stamina Displays” can lead to some UI elements overlapping.
The chat key can’t be customized yet.
Tutorial: After respawning, guns that aren’t fully loaded trigger replenishment icon even if the total ammo is already maxed out.
Dying to an explosive that exploded due to world fire shows a wrong death screen.
Players might end up in a state where the UI shows them in a group, although they are not.
Team members might not be rendered immediately upon joining a group. Switching tabs will make them appear.
Gameplay
Stamina consumption for two consecutive heavy melee attacks with the Sparks rifle might be incorrect.
Reloading the Sparks right after a shot, before cocking the hammer, cocks the hammer twice and delays the reload.
World items in some specific spots might not always be equippable.
Melee attacks might not break windows when standing very close to them.
Any attack of AI instantly explodes a barrel that is set on fire (and doesn’t damage the AI).
Tutorial: Camera position might briefly jump to spawn location right before extraction.
Hive Bomb throw cannot be canceled anymore by holding the item in the hands.
If a player jumps on a ladder and jumps off immediately, he might fall through the ground.
AI
The Spider can become stuck sometimes.
The Spider can bump repeatedly into a player it just floored.
Butcher might teleport to the lower floor in Davant Ranch.
Immolator can have problems choosing a target when 2 players stand on opposite sites of fences.
Leeches can sometimes survive the death of their Meatheads.
Visuals & Audio
Texture and/or animation streaming can sometimes be slow.
Distances for boss whispers are slightly off when the boss is underground.
In rare cases, players might see a permanent ghosting effect on the skybox.
Minor animation issues can occur when switching between weapons/items or during exhausted attacks.
Throwable world items don’t get rendered anymore when throwing them very far.
Aperture sight unfolds for one frame when playing the unfolding animation.
Player’s arms stretch in third person when throwing an Axe or Hammer (with Tomahawk Trait).
The last shot using the Fanning trait doesn’t have muzzle flash and audio when shooting all bullets in one go.
Grunts might sometimes spawn in player’s sight.
If you haven’t bought it yet, go read up on our review to see if it’s worth the price of admission.
Gaming peripheral and accessory maker Razer will be making surgical masks to help combat COVID-19 which has affected the world. The gaming company will be donating Razer surgical masks to different countries globally.
This was announced by Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan over on Twitter where he also mentioned that the company’s designers and engineers have been working 24-hour shifts to convert their existing manufacturing lines to produce surgical masks. We’ve included Tan’s complete message below.
Note that the image above isn’t what the mask will look like, but rather a pic taken from Kotaku.
So I haven’t had much sleep over the past couple of days to get this initiative up and running, but I’m happy to be able to announce this on behalf of the team here at @Razer
With the worsening of the COVID-19 situation, health authorities worldwide are facing an extreme shortage of surgical masks used by the frontline healthcare staff in the battle against the virus. Some countries have even banned the export of masks in face of the dire shortage.
While there has been incredible demand for our products during this time with many staying home to avoid the crowds (and to play games), the team at @Razer understands that all of us have a part to play in fighting the virus – no matter which industry we come from.
Over the past few days, our designers and engineers have been working 24-hour shifts to convert some of our existing manufacturing lines to produce surgical masks so that we can donate them to countries around the world.
We intend to donate up to 1M masks to the health authorities of different countries globally. For starters, we’ve been in touch with the authorities in Singapore (where the @Razer SEA HQ is based) to donate some of the initial shipments to assist their fight against COVID-19.
The rest of our Razer global/regional offices will also be reaching out to their respective governments/health authorities to see how we can prioritize our support and donations of surgical masks in the various countries and regions where we have a presence.
All of us have a part to play and we should be doing whatever we can with the situation getting more serious. Please keep yourself and your family safe – and do lets support each other in these trying times. The team at Razer is stepping up to do what we can.
This emergency conversion of some of our lines and donation of masks is the first step of many that @Razer will take. We are committed to contributing our extra time, resources, effort and talent toward the fight against COVID-19.
f you’d like to get involved with our fight against the virus, please follow the @Razer social media channels. If you’re a corporate or an individual who just wants to help– do reach out to us. We need all the help we can. #razerforlife#covid_19#forgamersbygamers#razermask
This is definitely an admirable job by Tan and his company. Let’s hope other gaming companies can help out with this global pandemic as well.
With a lot of the world’s cities going into quarantine/lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, possibly one of the most safest ways to entertain yourselves with friends is by playing multiplayer video games. Having said that, MP1st has rounded up what we consider to be the best multiplayer games to play while you’re on lockdown.
This is in no particular order, and most of the games have worldwide pandemics as the theme as well (think of these titles as games where you can actually fight back to whatever’s causing the world grief). Ready? Read on and see if you agree with our list.
Best Multiplayer Games to Play While Stuck at Home:
The Division 2
Given the crisis the world is going through now, there’s not a game more apt on this list than The Division 2. While this might hit too close to some, the game’s overall gameplay and loot system should be a good distraction. This game is particularly fun when played with friends, as there are a ton of activities to do outside of the main campaign.
By now, everyone should be familiar with Bungie’s Destiny 2. It’s an expansive looter shooter that has captured the hearts and minds of millions of Guardians across the world. There are weekly events, seasonal events, and lots more being introduced to the game every time. And the fact that it’s now a free-to-play title. it means you won’t run out of people to play with.
Just released this month, Call of Duty: Warzone is Modern Warfare’s battle royale component, though with one major selling point: it’s free for everyone! You can play Warzone even if you don’t own Modern Warfare! It offers crossplay too so you can play with pals even if they’re on different platforms.
Judging from the reception so far, Warzone is here to stay and could possibly be the the king of battle royale games when all is said and done.
Who doesn’t want some good ol’ fashioned chaotic multiplayer, right? For that kind of carnage and mayhem (organized mayhem, in fact), there’s none better than the Battlefield franchise! Battlefield V is still roping in a ton of players on a daily basis, and DICE has been steadfast in their post-launch support when it comes to content, bug fixing and more.
From the makers of Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment), is Apex Legends, one of the most successful free-to-play titles around. It’s battle royale but mixed in with heroes that have special abilities on their own. There are seasonal events pimped out for the game every month, and more.
Of course, this list won’t be complete without the latest Call of Duty title included. Modern Warfare brings the franchise back to its boots on ground roots, though one with a slightly slower experience. Infinity Ward has been consistent in updating the Battle Pass, and free content drops, and we don’t expect it to stop anytime soon.
This is one $60 purchas that’s well worth the price if you’re a Call of Duty fan.
The “oldest” game in the bunch, Left 4 Dead 2 is still as fun today as it was years ago. While we’re not in any kind of zombie apocalypse, it’s always fun to bash zombies’ heads in, right? And add in friends, and it’s a ton more fun.
World War Z
If you want something more recent when it comes to your zombie games, maybe World War Z by Saber Interactive will tickle your fancy. It has classes, different weapons, stage and more. It will even offer crossplay starting on March 24, 2020 as well, so you can play with your zombie-killing pals regardless of their platform.
Possibly the least known game in the lot, Dead Nation is a top-down shooter developed by Housemarque (Resogun). Players can kit their character out with different weapons, armor pieces and more, and the level of challenge in completing each stage is excellent.
Borderlands 3
Who doesn’t want a shooter where you can not only play with friends, but obtain a ton of different loot, too! This is where Borderlands 3 comes in. Gearbox is back and once again brings their own zany take on violence and mayhem. There are different classes that should fit the playstyle you prefer, there’s co-op, and there’s loads of guns to be discovered! Oh, did we mention that Gearbox is supporting it with seasonal free content as well? Yep, they are.
Escape From Tarkov is an indie, Massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) developed by Russian studio Battlestate Games. It’s set in a fictional part of Russia, where a war between two private military companies is happening, and players can choose which side to fight for.
The game still isn’t in its final version though players can play it in beta form.
Honorable mention:
The Last of Us
Yeah, we’re kinda cheating with The Last of Us since it’s known more for its single-player than its multiplayer. But hey, you can play both, right? Enjoy the compelling campaign, and stay for the gritty multiplayer which is still up and running today.
Well, there you have it! Obviously, we can’t include each and every multiplayer game imaginable but figured the titles mentioned here should hold people over until they’re ready to step outside. If you got any recommendations of your own, feel free to share them in the comments below.
Last year, word got out that Treyarch is taking over development duties for Call of Duty 2020 from Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software due to the studios butting heads. Apparently, this new Call of Duty game will go back to the Black Ops franchise, though none of that has been confirmed so far.
Reliable leaker TheGamingRevolution has posted a video talking about some of the stuff he knows about this year’s Call of Duty game. Apparently, it will be a “gritty Black Ops reboot,” and will be titled “Call of Duty: Black Ops” or “Black Operations” and not Black Ops 5 as most people assumed it would be.
Aside from that, he also mentions how Treyarch will be making the campaign from the ground up, and won’t be using any of Sledgehammer or Raven’s stuff. Also, apparently, this campaign will be a “retelling of the Vietnam story” and will be seen from a bunch of different perspectives such as the US, South Vietnam, and Vietcong viewpoints. It also mentions that Alex Mason and Sergeant Frank Woods are set to return in the campaign, and will have a more grounded, realistic take compared to the Black Ops 1 campaign.
It’s said that this year’s Call of Duty will be using the same engine as Modern Warfare, and will feature higher player counts than in past Treyarch games. 32v32 Ground War is apparently returning. TheGamingRevolution has been fed info on one of the Ground War maps in this new entry, and it’s said to be a “massive” ice map, that will feature snowmobiles, and will feature tanks as well. Not only that, but that map has bunkers, a train, and will be set in Vietnman.
As for killstreaks (scorestreaks?) on the map, there’s said to be a flamethrower that’s deemed overpowered which fits the whole Vietnman setting. Now here’s a big nugget dropped by the leaker, apparently, healing in this Call of Duty multiplayer won’t be automatic like in past Call of Duty games, but will require a stim shot (like in Black Ops 4). Note that he mentions that this could change during the development process but for now, manual healing is what’s been told. Again, this isn’t Treyarch’s final decision, and things could change come launch.
Regarding the usual 6v6 maps, TheGamingRevolution states that there’s a warehouse map which once again features a three-lane design (yay!), and this map features a tower at the center where people can snipe from. Another map he’s been given info about is one that’s set in the city. While he’s unsure which city this is based on, it’s apparently it looks like a Russian city, with cars on the right side, and lot of stuff littered about. This map is said to be too big for your standard 6v6 mode, so this map will most likely be shrunken down or be converted to a Ground War map.
On to killstreaks, the ones said to be returning are the UAV, Counter-UAV, there’s apparently a “Bomber Plane” streak that will shoot out the other streaks in the sky. There’s also a dog-based streak returning to the game, though it’s unsure whether this will be a pack of attack dogs or just one.
That’s basically it in terms of Call of Duty 2020 multiplayer info. For more, watch the video on zombies and the like. Again, same with any leaked and unofficial information, treat what you’ve read here with a grain of salt, as things do change during development, That said, TheGamingRevolution has been spot-on with his leaks so far when it comes to Call of Duty, and we suspect he’s got another mole inside Treyarch this time around.
Based on what we know, Call of Duty 2020 is already being playtested according to Activision, and Treyarch confirmed that it won’t feature jetpacks of any kind.
Are you liking what you’ve read so far for this year’s Call of Duty” Let’s hope we get official news soon.
Those looking forward to Fahkumram in Tekken 7, the wait is almost over! Bandai Namco Entertainment has finally announced the Tekken 7 Fahkumram release date and it’s set for March 24! Check out the announcement trailer below, which also showcases the new stage called the “Cave of Enlightenment.”
Fierce Muay Thai fighters are the epitome of brutality as they deal pain and damage upon their opponents. There are no ornate moves in Muay Thai, only pure unadulterated destruction; so as Fahkumram joins the roster of playable characters in TEKKEN 7, all existing characters should be on notice!
Expect a patch to drop on or before March 24 that brings in the new character and stage, as well as a host of gameplay changes (as is the norm). Expect to hear about the patch here on MP1st the moment it’s out, and expect a huge patch notes list overall as each character’s balance pass is covered (if Bandai Namco does it that way again).
As for the latest patch, head on over here to see what nerfs came to LeRoy Smith.
Are you excited to play as Fahkumram or are you wary that he’ll be overpowered like LeRoy Smith when released and will take months before he’s patched?
While we’ve yet to hear anything regarding a new Splinter Cell title, Sam Fisher is coming back — at least for those who own Ghost Recon Breakpoint! Today, Ubisoft announced the Ghost Recon Breakpoint X Splinter Cell crossover called “Deep State.”
This new mission for the grizzled veteran will begin on March 24, and here’s the teaser. where it specifically states that Sam Fisher himself will be back!
Sam Fisher returns in a new Ghost Recon Breakpoint adventure on March 24. Stay tuned for more intel, ghosts. pic.twitter.com/qRI9Dmugnb
Note that March 24 is also the date when the Ghost Recon Breakpoint 2.0 update is set to hit, which will offer different ways to play once it’s released. It seems Sam Fisher will be part of the patch roll out as well.
Speaking of Sam Fisher, the last we heard, a possible new entry in the Splinter Call franchise was spotted in a GameStop listing last year, though nothing has come out of it (at least so far). Ubisoft has also explained why we haven’t seen a new Splinter Cell game yet, which you can read about here.
The next-generation of consoles are set to bring some major changes, though it’s their SSDs that have caught the eye of former Naughty Dog employee, Andrew Maximov as he highlights why he’s excited for them.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Sony has officially revealed the PlayStation 5 specs. While they appear to be lower than that of those of the Xbox Series X’s specs, one area that the PlayStation 5 does have the upper hand is its super-fast SSD that is nearly double the speeds of the one found in the Series X. What exactly does this mean outside of super-fast load times? Well, former Naughty Dog Technical director and founder of Promethean AI Andrew Maximov explains:
The jump in quality between the 2 is quite staggering yet both utilized identical graphics hardware. Tons of work went into improving the look by the graphics engineers and the artists, but all of this has to be facilitated by managing a lot more data fast.
Even with current gen hardware we can render most single objects at lifelike detail. Every hair in Drakes stubble was a triangle.
We can render vast spaces by using smart LoD systems.
But we can’t store all of the super detailed high res versions for all objs in memory at once.
Now producing all of this content at this level of fidelity is an extremely complicated issue of it’s own, but we are working on it 🙂 @PlayStation – happy if this helps share the excitement. Keep it up!
Talk about some major advancements there, as not only will games be able to load super quick, but they’ll be able to do that while maintaining a high level of details. It’s going to be exciting to see developers utilize the SSD on both systems.
We will be sure to keep you all posted on any next-gen related news.
