Ghost Recon Breakpoint Roadmap for Year 1 Revealed, Watch the Live-Action Trailer

Excited for Ghost Recon Breakpoint? Are you assuming it’ll have the usual Ubisoft post-launch support? If so, you’ll be glad to know that you’re right! In a press release, Ubisoft has outlined the Ghost Recon Breakpoint roadmap for Year 1!

But before diving into that, go watch this new live-action trailer featuring Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Netflix’s The Punisher):

As for the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Year 1 roadmap details, it’ll start with the launch of Operation Greenstone, followed by Episode 2, and 3, which will be released every four months. Each Episode will, according to Ubisoft, offer “hours” of new content and support, including a New Adventure, New end-game content (raid and updates), Faction Missions, as well as PvP updates and regular new content.

  • New Adventures: New story-driven content that expands the main story of the game will be available with each episode.
  • New End-Game Content: Every Episode will bring new End-Game content. Episode 1 brings the Project Titan Raid. Players will explore an active volcano on a new island in the Auroa archipelago where they need to use all the skills learned on Auroa in intense four-play co-op challenges. The Raid is replayable and adaptable for all play styles.
  • New Faction Missions: Factions in the game will evolve over time and every month, new narrative Story Faction Missions will be released, bringing context as well as character development. New Faction Missions will be available daily and will provide objectives to support the factions and their narrative arcs.
  • New Classes: Three new classes will be introduced in Year 1, starting with the Engineer which brings an expertise in hacking.
  • Live Events: These events will feature VIPs that will help Nomad tackle new, terrible threats.  A new Event will be available with each Year 1 Episode and lasts one month.
  • PvP Updates: In addition to the three new classes coming Year 1, which will be fully playable in PvP, new maps and updates will keep Ghost War players on their toes.
  • Regular New Content: New content such as new missions, activities and unlockables will be available with each new episode.

If you played Ubisoft’s other games like The Division 2, Rainbow Six Siege and the like, then you’d know that the publisher supports its games a ton post-launch. It seems this trend will continue with Breakpoint once it releases this October 4.

For more on Breakpoint, read up on its PvP mode here, and don’t forget to check out this weird animated trailer showing us some of the shooter’s new features.

Master the CS GO Maps

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a first-person shooter. If a player wants to perform well, he/she has to know the maps. There are eight main CS:GO maps which are regularly played and most of which reside in Active Duty pool. The best professional teams across the world play the Active Duty pool in international competitions.

If you are looking for mastery and overall improvement of skill, you need to learn one map at a time. When you approach learning maps in this way, you will gain knowledge and be a valuable player to any team at your skill level. Here is a list of the most popular CS:GO maps in no particular order.

  • Nuke

If you are new to Counter-Strike, this might not be the map for you. There are three levels on the main building on this map. These are a catwalk level, an A site or the main level, and a B site or the basement level. Each site has a varying entry point because of verticality. These points of entry can be confusing when you are trying to maneuver around the map. This confusion and the fact that it is rather tricky as enemies to discern nearby sounds make Nuke hard for a beginner to learn.

  • Cache

The three-way nature of this map makes it simple. It has pathways that connect to the main lanes and a layout that is easy to learn. Its timings are well balanced. The features of these maps make it rather easy for beginners to master. It is also an excellent map to test raw skill.

  •  Mirage

This map has similarities to Cache in that it has three lanes, which makes it excellent for learning strategy. The pace of any round is heavily based on the aggression of Terrorists. Counter Terrorist versatility is easy throughout buy rounds. It requires reasonable map control and rotations knowledge. The momentum of this map can be changed by a first retake phase or a good execute. It is the hardest map when playing alone.

  •  Dust II

This is the most popular first-person shooter map. The map has three lanes within it, and each bombsite has three entry points. The layout balance is very polished, and this stops any team from having an advantage at the start round. Solo queuers and coordinated outfits can do very well on this map.

  •  Overpass

Overpass is similar to Inferno in that Counter-Terrorists have a massive command of maps at the start of a round. The defense is punished with a severe rotation in this map when Terrorists find their way into bomb sites. This map has an extended range of sight, which is also a source of the difficulty. This aspect of Overpass gives a distinctive edge to those with unique aim and AWpers. This map allows for a variety of play styles.

  • Inferno

This CS classic has a built-in system of risk and reward that is solely based on a team’s control of the map. Terrorists find ways to push back Counter-Terrorists who are given control of bomb sites at the beginning. Communication is essential in this map as gaining control of a site individually is nearly impossible.

  • Cobblestone

This is the second most challenging map on our list to learn. Its corridors are tight-knit, and it has wide-open areas. The map does not have a well-defined middle portion because the castle in which it is located has a somewhat confusing layout. Counter-Terrorists’ rotations can appear impossible and easy to predict when terrorists take control of the bomb site. Timing is the most complex idea related to Cobblestone because of the test of rotation knowledge.

  • Train

This map is quite tricky for beginners, particularly those who have not mastered more accessible maps. It is the most argued about map and even revised by some. The corridors are incredibly tight for Terrorists to make their way through. But when they succeed and enter sites, they flush out Counter-Terrorists and win. The defense has a considerable amount of map control. A good Train player must know their capabilities, especially when team members are not visible.

Are you trying to learn CS:GO? You can learn the maps by starting with those that are mentioned as easy to learn from our list. If you get good, you can participate in international competitions and win yourself some good cash.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Update Today (Sept. 3) Brings Arms Race TDM Back, Here’s the Playlist Changes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players, a new server-side hotfix has been rolled out by Treyarch just now. This Black Ops 4 update today brings playlist changes and nothing more, which is to be expected from a server-side update.

Black Ops 4 update today patch (September 3) notes:

Arms Race TDM Returns and Hot Pursuit Continues

Hope everyone had a great long holiday weekend! We’re kicking off this week with the return of Arms Race TDM in Multiplayer on all platforms, where each EKIA scores you 150 points instead of the standard 100. Rack up those Scorestreaks and rain havoc on your enemies all week long… and don’t forget to pack a launcher.

Hot Pursuit also continues in Blackout, and we’re currently planning on running it in the Featured Playlist slot beyond this week. Pandemic will also return as part of our final major update of Operation Apocalypse Z, when we’ll also release Jungle Flooded, our final alt-weather map in Black Ops 4.

All platforms:

MULTIPLAYER

  • Featured Playlists (Sept. 3-10)
    • PS4/Xbox One
      • Arms Race TDM
      • Party Game Moshpit
      • Mercenary Deathmatch Moshpit
      • Barebones Moshpit
      • Bolt-Action Barebones Moshpit
    • PC
      • Arms Race TDM
      • Party Game Moshpit
      • Deathmatch Domination

BLACKOUT

  • Featured Playlists (Sept. 3-10)
    • PS4/Xbox One
      • Hot Pursuit
      • Alcatraz Portals
      • Quads
      • Duos
      • Solo
    • PC
      • Hot Pursuit
      • Alcatraz Portals
      • Quads

Lastly, Treyarch has also talked about the Zombies mode DLC 4 info which arrives later this month!

Keep an eye on our social channels this week for the first new story details on our final Zombies experience in Black Ops 4. There will be plenty to unpack, all in due time. Until then…

“My friends, old and new… we stand on the brink of victory.”

Let’s hope we get a better event than the Heatwave one. With Modern Warfare set to assault shooter fans next month, Treyarch will need it in order to make existing players stick with the game.

    • From 10:00 a.m. PT on September 6 to 10:00 a.m. PT on September 9, players will earn double XP for Top 5 finishes and wins.  This bonus will affect both Account Level and Battle Pass progression.

      • Enabled Guns: Mozambique, Peacekeeper, EVA-8, Longbow, G7, Triple Take
    • Attachments not used by Snipers or Shotguns are disabled
    • Gold variants of weapons spawn in High Tier loot zones and in airdrops
    • Kraber and Mastiff loot values are tuned so they spawn in late-game airdrops and very rarely as ground loot (1-2 per game each)
    • Reduced Armor
      • Disabled Loot: Armor (Blue/Purple/Gold), Helmets (Blue/Purple/Gold)
      • Spawn rate for Common Armor and Helmets is reduced.
    • Ground Loot Drop Chances are reduced by 45% (Supply Bins are not affected by this)
    • Bullet Counts and Stacks are modified
      • Light Rounds: 16 per drop, 32 per inventory slot
      • Energy Rounds: 16 per drop, 32 per inventory slot
      • Heavy Rounds: 7 per drop, 14 per inventory slot
      • Shotgun Rounds: 7 per drop, 28 per inventory slot
    • Overall, loot density is reduced, but ammo/weapon spawn rates are increased and stack sizes are increased to offset the loot scarcity and allow players to have enough ammo to not discourage combat.
    • Increased spawn rates for syringes to compensate for lower loot density.
    • Reduced spawn rates for shield batteries to match rarity of armor.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed a bug where sometimes a player’s reward would not display properly after completing a challenge that awards crafting metals.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes players would see a different rare skin equipped to the Legend they are spectating when hanging from a ledge.
  • Fixed some issues related to script errors.
  • [Xbox] Fixed issue where sometimes players would have issues connecting to a match at the same time as their party forcing them to join Legend Select late with Legends already locked.
  • [PS4] code fixes to address crashes related to out of memory issues.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes players would still be in an out of bounds state when they are not actually out of bounds.

QUALITY OF LIFE

  • New Promo Window – A new feature we’ve added to the Lobby that will display offers and info and allows for direct navigation to the website or store.
  • Added Auto Sprint feature to all platforms that can be turned on or off. This is disabled by default and can be changed in the Settings menu.
  • Players can now adjust Aim Down Sight look sensitivity per optic zoom level.

WEAPONS

  • Increased projectile width for the TripleTake
  • SMG weapons are no longer compatible with the 3x HCOG and 2x-4x variable ACOG scopes.
    • Note from design: Our goal with this change is to better define weapon archetypes and improve the looting experience so that players aren’t accidentally picking up a long range site for a close range weapon that they have to manually remove.

LEGENDS

Wattson

  • Wattson will now have low profile attributes [takes %5 more damage to base health]
  • Reduced the maximum number of Interceptor Pylons that can be active to 1.

Bloodhound

  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to cancel the start up animation for their ultimate when activated while using a zipline.

Anthem Store Update September 3, 2019 – Prospero Items List

The Anthem store update for September 3, 2019 is now live. Today more cosmetic items have been added to the featured store in Anthem for players to purchase and customise their Javelins with, many of which wouldn’t look out of place on the pages of DC comics. Take a look at the items on offer below and read on for more detail.

Anthem Store Update September 3, 2019 – Prospero Items List

Wraps

Maker of Rain: 61,000 Coin or 850 Shards – This Wrap is the DC comics one I was referring to. It looks like a Bat Suit, maybe even a Bat Mech if you wanted to take this that far.

Splintered Citrine: 61,000 Coin or 850 Shards – Honestly I think this Wrap looks a little bit too much like a box of fries from a fast-food establishment, but I’ll let you decide if it’s too close for comfort to use.

Emote

Confident Wave Hello: 16,000 Coin or 375 Shards – This is the Emote for players who really, really want to get someone’s attention. I think I need this for use in the Cataclysm.

Materials

Granite Stone (Rubber): 5,000 Coin or 175 Shards – This is the best material to use to make your Javelin look like it’s literally been carved from stone.

Vinyl Geometric Stars (Fabric): 12,000 Coin or 300 Shards – This looks like the stuff I put on the floor to stop my daughter making a mess when she’s playing with paint, but I guess it could look good on a Javelin.

Graphic

Titan’s Rage: 36,000 Coin or 600 Shards – This Graphic is the image of a Titan blasting pure energy at a Javelin. I like that you can now wear this, but we need PVP in Anthem to make proper use of it.

Our Take

That’s all for the store update today. We’d recommend going for the Maker of Rain Wrap just because of how obviously Batman it is. Checkout the Anthem store update for the same time last week to see what you missed out on, and don’t do the same this week.

Monster Hunter World New Monster the “Rajang” Coming as Free Update in October, Watch It in Action Now

While Monster Hunter World is getting its first major (and possibly only) expansion in Iceborne later this week, that doesn’t mean those who own the base game will be forgotten. On the contrary, Capcom has today announced the Monster Hunter World new monster entering the game for free this October, and it’s the Rajang!

This gargantuan gorilla with horns looks very savage, and honestly, might rival Nergigante as the most piss-your-pants monster to date! Watch it in action now.

Hunters, get ready to face the pinnacle of physical strength and unforgiving aggression: the indomitable Rajang!

Aside from this Monster Hunter World new monster, Capcom is also giving away a free armor set as part of Iceborne’s release, and yes, this is for everyone.

Once this free content update is out in October, we’ll be sure to let our monster slaying readers know.

Battlefield 5 Update 1.24 Patch Notes, File Size Info – New Maps, Level Cap Increase Now Live

It’s finally here, Battlefield 5 players! DICE has now released what it calls Battlefield 5 update 4.4, or for the PS4, it’s Battlefield 5 update 1.24. It brings the two new maps (Provence and Lofoten Islands) that will be playable in Squad Conquest and TDM (team deathmatch), as well as the much-anticipated level cap increase to level 500 (read up on how that works here). Clocking in at 22GB on PC, and 16GB on PS4, you can check out the Battlefield 5 update 1.24 patch notes below.

Also of note: In case the download started for you, and you noticed that the files are considerably bigger, DICE has an explanation for that, which is mentioned below.

Battlefield 5 update 1.24 patch notes:

What’s New?

  • Two New Maps – Lofoten Islands and Provence (Available on Squad Conquest and Team Deathmatch)
  • 2 New Weapons deploying across the next 2 weeks of Tides of War (Panzerbusche 39 and the Breda M1935 PG)
  • Max Career Rank increase to 500

What’s Changed?

Stability

  • General stability improvements and crash fixes
  • Resolved a performance issue that could occur when breaking enemies armor on Firestorm and cause Stuttering

Maps and Modes

  • Lofoten Islands – Available in Team Deathmatch and Squad Conquest

  • Marita – Fixed a window where players would get stuck when vaulting through it
  • Marita – Improvements to spawn points

Weapons

We’ve performed a balanced pass across the damage of our Sniper Rifles, and the Recoil applied to our SMGs. Relative to the SMG’s specifically, we’ve switched out some of the Specialisations on Weapons which we believe would benefit from an alternative option. As for the explanation on its size, here’s DICE’s explanation:

We’ve also restructured some of the file storage used by the game, which should allow us to make further improvements to Battlefield V in the future, however this change requires us to redeliver these files to you with this update, and so you will find that this update is larger than expected. On PC, you may find that Origin will have a longer than normal ‘Preparing’ phase, potentially as long as one hour. Players who are not restricted by Data Caps with your Internet Service Provider, and who benefit from fast download speeds may find it faster to uninstall, and reinstall Battlefield V with this update. If you encounter any issues during this process, please contact our teams at EA Help.

That’s one big update, no? Don’t forget, the next patch will bring inOperation Underground (Operation Metro remake), which we’re hoping drops this month too. Once we know more info, we’ll let our readers know. There should be a new set of challenges for this chapter come Thursday as well.

Monster Hunter World: Capcom Not Looking at It as a Live Services Game, Iceborne the Only Massive Expansion Planned at the Moment

More and more publishers these days are seemingly boarding the live services bandwagon in terms of their games. However, you can count Capcom’s Monster Hunter World out, as it seems the studio isn’t looking to make it that. Even if we’re getting new Monster Hunter DLC in the upcoming Iceborne expansion.

In an interview with Eurogamer conducted at gamescom, Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, and Directors Kaname Fujioka and Daisuke Ichihara talked about Monster Hunter World Iceborne, and was asked whether it will be continually updated or if we’ll ever see a sequel,

How long do you think Monster Hunter World will run for – will it be a continually updated game, or will there eventually be a sequel?

Tsujimoto: At the moment our main focus is… when Iceborne comes out, as we did with World, we’re going to do great post-launch support for free content, like releasing periodic event quests and having seasonal events, and all that great stuff that kept people playing between the release of World until now – we plan to do that again with Iceborne. This is the only massive expansion we have in mind at the moment, and keep in mind it’s not an MMO where we’re saying ‘here’s a five-year roadmap of huge updates’, it is still an action game and we’ve released it, and we’ve supported it, and then we’ve released this expansion which is equivalent to the way we’ve done it before with Master Rank and G-Rank. It’s still a single game in our mind, and it isn’t like it’s a service where it’s going to be live for 10 years, so right now our focus is once we get Iceborne out, we want to bring the same level of amazing free post-launch support.

Well, there you have it. Monster Hunter might someday turn into a live services game, but it won’t be Monster Hunter World.

Speaking of free content, make sure to check out the free armor coming to all players once the Iceborne expansion drops this coming September 6. PS4 gamers can also look forward to Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn making her way into the game with another crossover event.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Crossplay Details – Controller Users Can Opt Out of KBM & More Info

By now, it’s no secret that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be the first game in franchise history to offer crossplay (meaning PS4 players can go up against Xbox One, PC, and vice versa). In case you didn’t know, Infinity Ward has mentioned before that it will work based on input matchmaking.

During a lengthy Q&A with Game Informer, Infinity Ward revealed a lot more details regarding the Modern Warfare crossplay details. While you can watch the video for the info (around the 46:50 mark), here’s the condensed text version compiled by Reddit user FallenNinja:

  • dev in video says he is not 100% sure on every detail. (WIP)
  • crossplay in its current state is 100% based on input.
  • kbm players can opt out of aim assist users.
  • controller users can opt out of kbm users.
  • they are looking into defeating XIM users.
  • there might be a feature to pick and choose which platforms to play against.
  • they want crossplay to be balanced and don’t think pc controller users will be an issue.
  • they will gather info on crossplay during beta.
  • Cross-save, being looked into, not guaranteed.

Currently at 48:25 when asked about console users being able to opt out of playing against PC AT ALL they say “we don’t know the answer to that question, because it would be pretty much the same experience. The only thing you might get would be some FOV difference there. I would have to check with Paul Hale and see, I’m pretty sure that could be an option we add if there is a problem for players. I think you can opt out by platform but I’m not sure about that.”

Gamers themselves will be able to test out Modern Warfare crossplay for themselves in the upcoming beta, which has been confirmed to feature crossplay matchmaking. If you’re curious about aim assist settings, you can read up on that right here.

Are you happy with the Modern Warfare crossplay details known so far? Do you think Infinity Ward is tackling it the right way?

Rumor – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Perks DLC Planned Post-Launch, Will Be Free

Here’s a rather far-out idea that we wouldn’t report on otherwise if the source hasn’t proven themselves; according to reliable Call of Duty: Modern Warfare leaker/YouTuber TheGamingRevolution, Infinity Ward is planning on offering Modern Warfare perks DLC post-launch!

Yes, you read that right! A new report says that developer Infinity Ward will be releasing new perks once the game’s out, though it it will be free, so don’t anyone panic just yet. This was announced by TheGamingRevolution’s on Twitter, where he mentioned one of the new Modern Warfare perks available in the upcoming beta, as well as mentioning how the 10×10 mode will be available in the beta, too.

https://twitter.com/TheGamingRevoYT/status/1168306577687924736

New Modern Warfare perk that will be available in the beta! – Quick Fix – Slot 1 – Health Regeneration is 2x as fast and occurs after a kill or while playing the OBJ of that gamemode if there is one.

This perk was originally planned to be a DLC perk for the game but they took out bounty hunter.

Perks will be a FREE addition to the game added throughout Modern Warfare’s life-cycle to keep the game fresh, don’t worry.

Don’t forget, this is NO T confirmed by Activision or Infinity Ward, and as such, should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, if Infinity Ward wants to release new — and free — perks to make the game feel fresh post-launch, I’m all for it.

In other Modern Warfare news, Infinity Ward says it’s focusing on a player-first mentality with Modern Warfare. We also posted a rumor that the beta client file size will be at a whopping 60GB.

Marvel’s Avengers Hero Abilities Explained, Here’s a Look at Captain America’s Combat Moves

If you’ve watched any part of the Marvel’s Avengers gameplay footage floating around, you’ve no doubt noticed how the characters available in the game can do special attacks, and how the heroes shown so far each have different combat styles, combos and so on.

Today, we now a lot more about how the Marvel’s Avengers hero abilities work, which are called “Heroics.”

More details regarding Captain America’s Heroics listed below courtesy of the official Marvel’s Avengers Twitter account.

Each Avenger has three Heroics – support, assault, and ultimate – that operate on a cooldown timer. Read below for details on Cap’s Heroics, and yes, we’ve included some epic shield throwing…

Support Heroics benefit the player & the team. Captain America’s support heroic causes all targets hit by the Captain to temp become marked as priority targets for the entire team. Heroes who attack his marked targets benefit from increased damage/health regeneration.

Captain America throws his shield with devastating force when the player activates his assault heroic. Automatically seeking out up to 5 targets, Cap’s shield will ricochet quickly between enemies & cause a significant amount of stun and attack damage on every hit.

Activating Cap’s ultimate heroic – Brooklyn Brawl – will slam his shield into the ground causing a massive Vibranium shockwave, sending most enemies flying. For a short duration after activation, Captain America’s attack damage, impact, & defense will be greatly increased.

Heroic attacks, like many aspects of each hero’s unique playstyle, can also be tweaked, specialized & improved through a robust gear & skill progression system that allows players the opportunity to make every hero their own.

And of course, we also get a look at gameplay featuring Captain America’s combat moves and combos, too!

You can check out more details regarding Crystal Dynamics’ version of Captain America right here.

Are you satisfied with how Crystal Dynamics is handling the combat system and abilities work in Marvel’s Avengers or do you think it’ll feel stale fast?

Marvel’s Avengers will assemble this May 15, 2020 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
