Total War Three Kingdoms Eight Princes Comes With Free Content for Everyone

Creative Assembly, developers of the Total War franchise, have revealed the free additional content that Total War Three Kingdoms Eight Princes will bring to Total War Three Kingdoms when it launches. This free content will launch as part of a patch for bugs and fixes to the base game, and doesn’t require players to purchase Total War Three Kingdoms Eight Princes.

Coming to Total War Three Kingdoms alongside the launch of Total War Three Kingdoms Eight Princes, are the following units.

  • Cataphracts – These units will be available to Vanguards, and will require the ‘Shock Warfare’ technology
  • Heavy Cataphracts – These units will be available to Vanguards at or above level 6. In order to access this unit, players need the ‘Barded Mounts’ technology
  • Mounted Crossbows – These units will be available to Strategists, requiring the ‘Divine Manipulation of Threads’ technology
  • Heavy Mounted Archers – These units will be available to all characters at and above level 6. In order to access the units, players need the ‘Swiftness is the Key in War’ technology

In addition to these new units, Creative Assembly is also adding 17 new armour variants for generals. These armour variants can be generated by buildings in the main campaign, and given to characters.

Creative Assembly has also addressed some of the concerns surrounding the Total War Three Kingdoms Eight Princes DLC. They say that whenever they look at a period of history in which to create a game, the game is always at the forefront of their minds. They don’t even consider a time period if they believe the game would suffer because of it.

The developer wants to make it clear that Chapter Packs are not the only kind of add-on DLC they will create for the game. In fact, they plan to create more DLC like the Yellow Turbans, which will add new factions to the game. To summarise, Creative Assembly say that, if Total War Three Kingdoms Eight Princes isn’t for you, then that’s fine. They believe they are working on a broad enough range of DLC that they will be able to deliver something for everyone to enjoy.

Total War Three Kingdoms Eight Princes Chapter Pack will go on sale on August 8 2019. The Chapter Pack brings a new campaign to Total War Three Kingdoms, and a host of new units, including eight new princes to play as. Each of the eight new princes has their own unique abilities, providing different advantages to players depending on who they play as, and different strategies to make the most of these abilities.

Report: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Live Action Trailer May Star NFL Player Le’Veon Bell

Take this rumor with a grain of salt, but in an unexpected video posted by NFL player Le’Veon Bell, there’s a possibility that Activision is well underway with filming this year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare live action trailer.

Spotted by Reddit user TheKittz, in the video below we can see the New York Jet player, Le’Veon Bell being geared up alongside many others in some modern military outfit. Normally we would say that this post is simply random and could be tied to anything, but Activision has a long standing history of hiring professional players and Hollywood celebrities for live-action trailers, so it certainly wouldn’t be out of the norm if this were the case. This and their recent promotional visits by Twitch Influencers and previously NBA players could very well hint at the possibility that Activision is yet once again recruiting high profile players to star in an upcoming trailer.

Another one showing what appears to possibly be a civilian or at the very least someone who isn’t dressed in uniform.

We wouldn’t really say that this ties to Call of Duty, but then one has to remember that Le’Veon Bell has actually worked with Activision in the past and had a cameo featured in Call of Duty. We aren’t sure if the football player has any military experience, which would only make it even weirder for a random film shoot around it, but we do know that he does have quite a number of friends who have served and even appeared as a small cameo with them in Call of Duty: WWII as you can see below.

Again take this with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially confirmed and we are still a bit a ways away from the November launch, which will likely be around the time we see the live action trailer, assuming there is one. In the meantime we have the August 1st Multiplayer reveal date to look forward to.

PlayStation TGS 2019 Attendance Confirmed

As previously reported that Sony would be holding a press conference at the annual ChinaJoy gaming convention, it has now also been confirmed that the company will indeed be attending yet another game show.

As many of us already know, Sony has been rather absent from a lot of gaming events this year, the biggest so far being E3. And although the company did supply a reasonable explanation, their presence has been missed despite giving fans an alternative “Nintendo Direct” inspired format, The State of Play. With a few major events still left in the year (Comic-con in just a day) it would appear that the company will be attending the annual Tokyo Game Show event, although how big of a presence is yet to be known.

Taking a look over on the official Tokyo Game Show Exhibition page we can see that Sony Interactive Entertainment will be hosting some exhibitions during the event.

If you can recall last year during the event Sony revealed the much rumored PlayStation Classic mini console, however its yet unknown if they’ll be hosting a conference or as the listing suggests simply hosting show floor exhibitions with demos and fan meetups. We can only guess that there will most likely be some demos for Final fantasy 7 Remake, which were present during E3 this year. And seeing that Death Stranding is launching in November with this event taking place in September, it’s possible that the title will be there with new footage though that it just pure speculation. The Editor in Chief over at SwitchONGamer is reporting however that Kojima Production will be there to help sell merchandise.

Kojima does have a long history with the show and even last year debuted a short new trailer for Death Stranding, which you can watch below.

Outside of this many other third party publishers will also be making an appearance, few of which that do have exclusives deal with PlayStation so we will most likely see them around Sony’s designated showfloor area if they’re not already being shown off in their respective zones. TGS is set to happen this September between September 11th to to the 15th.

We will be sure to keep you all updated if anything changes or gets announced as we get closer to the event date. For now, stay tune for our coverage of Comic-Con, which begins this Thursday (June 18th.)

Battlefield 5 Rush Changes Detailed and Explained by DICE

Remember when we said yesterday that DICE is bringing back the Rush game mode to Battlefield 5 this week? As it turns out, the studio is making a lot of Battlefield 5 Rush changes based on fan feedback, too!

Over on the BF5 ubreddit, DICE listed the most common feedback points of discussion regarding Rush, and list them down below:

  • The sectors are too wide allowing too much hidden flanking and back capping.
  • The sectors are too short in length. Defenders should be able to push further towards the attackers.
  • Some of the maps should receive some Rush specific changes to make the mode shine on them.
  • Certain sectors are lacking cover or flanking alternatives.
  • The Reinforcement artillery barrage creates too much disturbance on the objective.
  • The defender artillery call ins from the objectives feel like a cheap way of getting kills.
  • The arming and disarming animations are too long.
  • The big artillery cannons allow for a lot of hide and seek at the objective cater more towards a campy playstyle.
  • Attackers seem to win most of the time on all 3 maps.

DICE says that most fans ask the studio to make BF5’s Rush into ‘just make it like it was in Battlefield 3,” Here’s a list of Battlefield 5 Rush changes, why they were made, and why some changes weren’t made.

  • After some internal discussion that we’ve had around the studio, and from playing on public servers with you all, we agree that some of the sectors and the areas of the maps that we were using needed some proper adjustments for Rush as well as some changes to the combat areas – in regards to both length and depth. More details about that are further below.
  • As you know, we also made adjustments to the Reinforcement artillery barrage a few updates back. We know how prominent this was when we first introduced Rush, we hope it will feel better now and we will keep an eye on it going forward should it not play out nicely – particularly in regards to Rush.
  • Related to the above, we have removed the artillery call-in on the Rush objectives. It just didn’t make sense anymore with the Reinforcement option.
  • We decided to keep the arming and disarming animations since they add an interesting risk/reward dynamic and require you to play a bit more with your squad. We agree that the situation could feel a bit sluggish, and for that reason we have sped up the animation and adjusted the interaction times to BF3 standards.
  • The big artillery cannons have been replaced with smaller versions. This should make it easier to quickly read the space around the objective without getting surprised by hiding enemies.
  • We also adjusted the amount of tanks in Rush. We do believe that vehicles have a place in this gamemode, but with only 32 players and a more narrow playground we need to be more careful since they can heavily change balance of a sector. For that reason we reduced the overall amount of tanks. Narvik only supports tanks in the first sector, Twisted Steel offers a tank to the attacking team in the early sectors and then gives a tank to the defenders in the last sector. Devastation doesn’t support tank gameplay.

Finally, the studio listed the Battlefield 5 Rush changes made into each map as well.

Battlefield 5 Rush changes per map:

Changes to Twisted Steel

General – The Combat Area in all sectors have received an extension to their depth (see here)

General – Spawns in all sector have received adjustments according to telemetry and layout changes. Furthermore the distances have been adjusted to reflect BF3’s metrics.

General – Fortifications got adjusted and extended across all sectors.

https://i.redd.it/4zt0r1hs0xa31.jpg

Sector 1 – The sector has been lengthened towards the attacker spawn and the attacker HQ has been pulled back behind the farm area.

Sector 1 – The A objective has been moved forward into the trenches (see here)

Sector 3 – The area between Sector 2 and 3 have received a pass on it’s fortifications and now has a lot more cover.

Sector 3 – Spawns for both teams have been adjusted depending on which objective has been destroyed. This was required since the objectives are now placed in sequence (meaning that one is closer than the other), vs in parallel across the frontline of the sector.

Sector 3 – Defenders have received a tank spawn for this phase. Tanks are otherwise available for attackers during phases 1-3, with phase 4 removing all tank spawns.

Changes to Narvik

General – The Combat Area in all sectors have received an extension to their depth.

General – Spawns in all sector have received adjustments according to telemetry and layout changes. Furthermore the distances have been adjusted to reflect BF3’s metrics.

General – Fortifications have been adjusted, and extended across all sectors.

https://i.redd.it/0lammp9w0xa31.jpg

Sector 1 – The position of the objective that was previously on the street has changed. It’s now positioned in the city ruin area (see here)

Sector 3 – This sector has been moved to the loading dock bridge as we felt that in the previous versions of sector 3 and 4 that they didn’t offer up a good playing space and the positioning of the objective didn’t play as well as we would have hoped (see here)

Sector 3 – The whole area around Objective A has received additional cover and improved geometry for better close quarter combat. We have also added the scaffolding geometry around the loading dock that has previously been introduced in Grind.

Sector 4 – This sector is now situated in the train depot, and up on top of the hill closest to the bunkers (see here)

Changes to Devastation

General – The Combat Area in all sectors have received an extension to their depth.

General – Spawns in all sectors have received adjustments according to telemetry and layout changes. Furthermore the distances got adjusted to reflect BF3’s metrics.

General – Fortifications have been adjusted, and extended across all sectors.

https://i.redd.it/83gi53a61xa31.jpg

Sector 1 – Defenders should no longer spawn in the Cathedral area, but instead spawn behind the objectives. This way attackers won’t get shot in the side when approaching the library.

Sector 2 – The positions of the objectives have changed completely in order to allow for a more balanced and fun experience. Fortifications and defense lines have also been accordingly adjusted.

Sector 2 – Some of the geometry changes that were introduced in Fortress have been added to the cathedral.

Sector 3 – The positions of the objective have changed completely. A is now situated in the narrow street parallel to the cinema. B is positioned in the lobby of said cinema. Fortifications and defense lines have been adjusted accordingly (see here)

Rush will be available in Battlefield 5 this coming Thursday (tomorrow),

Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries – A Fitting Swan Song and Fresh Start

Today Ubisoft released a trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries, a brand new game mode that’s being released as a thank you to players. Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries is an experimental game mode that acts as a fitting final act for the game, but also indicates a bright future for the next game in the series, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Watch the trailer below and read on for more details.

So far there have been 19 updates to Ghost Recon Wildlands, but this one will be different to all of them. Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries is a brand new game mode that pits eight players against one another in a free for all multiplayer match. However, the match will also consist of PVE elements, pitting each of the eight players against enemies in the environment, as well as each other. PVP long has been a highlight of Ghost Recon Wildlands ever since it was introduced and built upon with updates, but Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries pushes that PVP to an entirely new level.

Similarly to how the Dark Zone works in The Division 2, in Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries players will first have to call in a chopper for extraction. With the chopper on the way, it’s down to all eight players to get in a vehicle and make it to the extraction point as quickly as possible, because they all want to be the first to board and win. Players will be able to use the environment against on another, antagonising enemies and then moving away, leaving foes to deal with the consequences. Equally, players can simply avoid enemies altogether, and opt for the clearest path to the extraction point.

Completing one match of Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries mode will earn players the Walker costume, a reward Ubisoft are eager to give players for trying out Mercenaries.

Ubisoft is releasing Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries tomorrow, July 18 2019, as a thank you for every player who has been part of the game since it launched in 2017. This new game mode is an experimental one that the team at Ubisoft have been playing with for a while, but since the game’s sequel, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, releases later this year on October 4 2019, there’s no reason to hold any content back now.

The release of Ghost Recon Wildlands Mercenaries shows that Ubisoft clearly values the players of the Ghost Recon franchise. This is a good sign moving forward, since it indicates that they’ll behave in a similar way with Ghost Recon Breakpoint. However, holding off on launching a new, experimental, mode until a game is nearly redundant is a strange move in one sense. It doesn’t give off the impression that Ubisoft had faith in this game mode, and maybe they are only releasing it now because they know the feedback won’t matter in a few months.

However, you can also look at Ubisoft releasing Ghost Recon Wildands Mercenaries now in a different light. It’s possible that Ubisoft have released this mode now in order to get player feedback, and then further refine the mode for implementation in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. If this is the case, then Ubisoft are already thinking about post-release content for the next game in the series, which can only bode well for players.

PUBG Season 4 Trailer Brings Story to the Game

PUBG Corporation have released a new trailer for PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG), as the start date for PUBG Season 4 approaches. While previous seasons have been accompanied by trailers focusing on the new weapons, map, or cosmetics players can earn, the trailer for PUBG Season 4 brings story to the game for the first time. Watch the trailer below and read on for more details about PUBG Season 4.

The trailer begins on the game’s Erangel map in 1965. The narrator is a boy, and witnesses everyone he loves, and everything he knows, being destroyed by bombers flying over the island. These bombers resemble the planes that players drop from in all PUBG maps, though there’s no way to know for sure if they’re exactly the same. The trailer then skips forward to the present, and the narrator has managed to claw his way to the top, seeming to run a company that is centred around PUBG matches.

The narrator has a luxurious desk, and a wall of monitors that show scenes from various PUBG matches, with players shooting at and killing each other. But how does this link into PUBG as we know it, and how does it add story to the game?

The trailer for PUBG Season 4 could be a way of showing the man, or company, behind each PUBG match. This person could be the reason that there are hundreds of people falling from the sky to fight each other to the last man standing. While no details about prizes are shown, it’s clear that the narrator has a lot of money, so maybe there’s a monetary reward, in the game’s story, for everyone who wins a match. If this is the beginning of some true story and lore for PUBG, it could lead to an extensive reveal over the course of PUBG Season 4. If PUBG Corporation are going to follow the examples of big MMOs such as Destiny 2, then telling stories through the environment, over the course of weeks will be how any lore comes out.

There are many unofficial PUBG lore videos on YouTube, but this is the first from the game’s developer. It seems apt that the trailer for PUBG Season 4 would feature Erangel, because this is the game’s first map, and a nod to its origins as an Arma 2 mod.

PUBG Season 4 will see a huge visual overhaul for Erangel. The map top three improvements, according to players, are; the upgraded visual quality that brings Erangel into line with other PUBG maps, location updates that keep the map interesting but also stay true to its roots, and the updated foliage and sunshine that make it feel far more real. The only real bad point about the map’s update is that some interiors are too dark, while other complaints seem to be about the map feeling too lively, thanks to the improved foliage. One this is for sure, the update has made it much harder to see players through grass.

On July 24 2019 PUBG Season 4 will begin for Windows PC players, with it coming later to Xbox One and Playstation 4. However, consoles will see the game’s latest patch drop on the same date. For more news on PUBG Season 4 keep an eye on MP1ST.

Code Vein Invading Executioner Boss Gets the Spotlight in New Trailer

In their latest Code Vein trailer, developer Bandai Namco Entertainment have detailed the Invading Executioner boss. This boss was part of a demo that press were invited to play last year, but that doesn’t make this boss any less terrifying or difficult. Check out the trailer below and read on for more details regarding the Code Vein Invading Executioner Boss.

In the trailer it’s easy to see just how difficult the Invading Executioner boss is going to be to fight. Her moves push her closer and closer to the player, until she’s able to deal devastatingly high damage to them in short bursts. A diving plunge attack allows her to travel quickly towards players, damaging them in the process, while an AOE attack will create a huge explosion around the player if they get into her mid-range.

As has been shown in press event previews, this boss can also perform dancing moves around her weapon, spinning so fast that she creates a tornado effect, which pulls players in and damages them.

As with many bosses in the soulslike genre, the Invading Executioner boss has a few different phases, which she will cycle through as her health decreases. Each phase is different, and while not necessarily harder to fight, the change in style and pace is often enough to throw off even skilled players.

Mercifully Code Vein will have multiplayer when it launches. Players are also able to take an AI companion with them into battle. But by taking another real world player they stand a better chance at defeating the Invading Executioner boss, and every boss in the game.

The Invading Executioner boss varies from other bosses that have been shown from Code Vein so far, because she is a close range boss. Other bosses, such as Ribcage, have devastating AOE attacks that they use to their advantage as players back away from them.

The diversity between bosses in Code Vein is proving to be one of its key selling points with soulslike fans. Games such as Bloodborne and Dark Souls have bosses with a certain formula which players can count on. Due to the unique mechanics of Code Vein, using AI companions for both assistance in battle, and healing, players will find themselves working much harder to keep everything under control in the middle of battles.

5 Top Multiplayer Indie Games

When it comes to indie games, release dates and realistic visuals are not the paramount aspects. The creativity of developers is much more important. Indie multiplayer projects may face a row of issues and provide a strong vanilla feeling, but that makes them even more valuable.

5. Enter The Gungeon

This bullet hell roguelike shooter by Dodge Roll is powered by a deep pool of inventive guns. Each map consists of randomly connected handcrafted rooms with charming visuals and a variety of unusual enemies. The multiplayer mode includes local and online co-op modes for only 2 players. Nevertheless, the gameplay is brilliantly paced for co-op. You can play each level many times, but the chances to enter with the same gun two times in a row are minimal. There’s no shortage of creative ways to blow enemies into bits.

4. Duck Game

Landon Podbielski developed Duck Game with support of Adult Swim Games. It’s one of the most addictive hardcore 2D shooters so far. The entire game consists of short, fast-paced rounds. You can play with up to 8 friends of random people. At the beginning of every level, all ducks have nothing, so they have to be quick as hell to grab the nearest weapon and kill everything that moves. The winner-duck is the one that achieves more frags than others. Even when you lose, you just can’t help but laugh!

3. Gang Beasts

Boneloaf created a genial essense of ragdoll physics and stupidity to develop this party fighting game. Though you can press buttons to run, jump, and punch, there’re no guarantees for you to win. Your clumsy buddy may slip down into a hole in the floor or someone may accidentally throw it away. There’s really nothing more about the gameplay. It’s just hilarious, and that’s why we love the game at IndieGames.Download.

2. Minecraft

Formally, this phenomenal game isn’t indie anymore, but its origins are true. Minecraft is a multiplayer survival in which you can implement your wildest constructing ideas. The modding society is so huge that you can upgrade your copy of the game beyond recognition. There are thousands of servers with unique worlds where you can interact with random players and initiate almost any scenario that comes into your mind.

1. Day Z

This game is one of the most controversial indie releases of the last decade. It’s an auteur cinema in the world of video games. Day Z is a zombie survival FPS in which you have to struggle through frustratingly realistic circumstances to become stronger. All customary game conditionalities like maps aren’t presented here. You have to behave like in real life and deal with dozens of bugs. Day Z is incredibly hardcore, addictive, and atmospheric. Despite all shortcomings, it still has no analogs on the market.

PlayStation Hosting 2-Hourr Press Conference at This Year’s Chinajoy

The annual Chinajoy gaming event just got a lot bigger as it has been revealed that PlayStation is set to host a lengthy press conference.

Beginning August 1st at 5:30 GMT (1:30 a.m. EST, 4:30 a.m. PST) time, Sony will take the stage at Chinajoy to present a wide variety of announcements for the Chinese market. We do expect to hear a lot of updates from titles in their China’s Hero Project that they have been funding for some time now, including one of my most anticipated, Lost Soul Aside. Chances are a lot of the titles being shown off will be focused on the Chinese market, since well this is an event geared towards China, though I wouldn’t rule out any surprise announcements.

A tweet posted by The Hunter also confirmed that the company is at least showing seven titles During the show, though we expect plenty more with the many exclusivity deals that Sony has secured in the Chinese market.

An excerpt from their official Weibo feed:

The PlayStation® online conference will be held on August 1, 2019 from 17:30 to 19:30 in the three live broadcast platforms of Betta, Tiger Tooth and bilibili. At that time, PlayStation® China will release the latest game information and ChinaJoy’s first-hand activity information. Forward this Weibo and say your new game that you are most looking forward to to this online conference. You will randomly pick three friends and send out a PlayStation® theme pillow.

And in a possible piece of related information this date also happens to coincide with the full multiplayer reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which we doubt is just a coincidence considering that PlayStation holds marketing rights to the title.

We’ll be sure to keep you all updated as we approach the conference date and be sure to keep an eye out for our coverage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that very same day.

Gears 5 Recoil in Multiplayer Revamped to Enhance PvP

Ryan Cleven, Multiplayer Design Director for Gears 5, recently explained the details of a new aspect of Gears 5 multiplayer, the Gears 5 recoil system. According to Cleven, the new recoil system will create a much larger skill gap between high-level Gears 5 PvP players, and casuals.

This news came out as a result of the recent ELEAGUE Gears Summer Series Invitational, a pro Gears multiplayer gaming league. As part of the event The Coalition, developers of the Gears franchise, organised the very first professional tournament for Gears 5.

The Gears 5 pro tournament gave fans a first look at the newly updated Escalation mode, a video of which can be seen below.

However, what wasn’t obvious, or discussed, during the Gears 5 event, was the game’s new recoil system. Cleven admits that there was no opportunity to talk about this new system during the event, but wanted to make it clear that it was there.

Gears 5’s recoil system was brought about in an effort to bring together the competitive and core tuning sets in one place. Cleven says that King of the Hill mode uses the same recoil tuning as Escalation mode.

The difference between Gears 5’s multiplayer, and the multiplayer in previous Gears titles, is that there are no core and competitive mode tuning options. Instead, there is a single tuning in place across both core and competitive modes, though competitive modes have no aim assist turned on.

Cleven explains that the answer the team at The Coalition were looking for, when it came to the question of recoil tuning across core modes and competitive modes, wasn’t to make everything competitive. What they did instead, was create a tuning that they feel the entire Gears 5 audience will enjoy across the board.

With this single tuning, The Coalition hopes that Gears 5 PVP fans will find an experience they can enjoy, from the very first matches, all the way up to the pro leagues.

Before players even get to experience the new recoil system, they’ll have to play through the new Bootcamp Tutorial. The Coalition have released a preview of this tutorial that players must complete before they enter the hectic world of Gears 5 multiplayer, watch it below.

Bootcamp is designed to teach players the fundamentals of Gears 5 gameplay, running to cover, shooting from cover, and executing enemies. While some players may find it frustrating that they have to complete a tutorial before entering their favourite multiplayer modes, it’s a necessary evil for all of the new players who will join the ranks this September.

Recently The Coalition released a Gears 5 Beta Trailer, revealing that a tech test of the game’s Arcade mode will go live on Friday July 19 2019. Anyone who has pre-ordered the game, or subscribes to either the Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, will have access to this tech test.

Bungie: There Isn’t Really a “Good Style Guide” in Naming Destiny Weapons

Bungie throughout the years has been known to give weapons in the Destiny franchise unusual names and comical quips in their descriptions, and in an recent interview with Polygon, Bungie General Manager Mark Noseworthy and Franchise Director Luke Smith went into detail about the process. The brief interview goes over the tedious and sometimes random decisions the writers in the series come up with the names. The writers come up with different names that may sound perfect for the universe, but sillier variations and “vanilla” choices get sent to the cutting room floor.

“There isn’t really a good style guide on what is and is not a Destiny weapon name,” said Smith. “But the origin of it really came from this old one note page that [chief creative officer] Jason Jones and [game director] Chris Barrett and a couple of other folks like [narrative designer] Eric Raab contributed to and sort of built an initial library. There’s just a feel to them.”

Smith discussed in the interview how the Fatebringer earned its name,  commenting its title still feels a little too “edgy.”

“The name Fatebringer, when I wrote it, still felt a little edgy when you had stuff like The Comedian that was going to be released or was in the pipe at the time. he irreverence is an important part of it. There was a period where a writer really enjoyed the punniness of some weapons. So we had some weapon puns for an era.”

Bungie said naming weapons in the Destiny franchise is one of their favorite creative moments, and its easy to see why. Who doesn’t like hunting for ridiculous sounding guns?

League of Legends Update 9.14 Released, Here’s Everything in It

Riot Games released the latest League of Legends update with patch 9.14, along with news that Teamfight Tactics patch notes will be updated weekly. The information notes on the site that TFT updates in a “weekly cadence,” between regular patches for League of Legends and an update focused on balances and “emergent bugfixes.” Riot Games also noted that patch notes are to be updated differently than usual.

This first official patch week we have a whole host of changes. First, Twisted Fate is warping in to the Convergence for all your piracy and spell-slinging needs. Then, if you’re the competitive type, get ready to start climbing because the ranked Beta Season is coming and as they say, “RNG is a ladder.” Finally, a minion or monster will now drop gold in the event that you do not get any items from a PvE round.

Tier 3 Champions also see buffing changes and tier 4 has been nerfed.

Many tier 3 champions felt underpowered and not worth picking up given their price, so we’re buffing a number of them to make them worth considering even at a single star. Conversely, many tier 4 champions have been nerfed as they were proving to be powerhouses sometimes even without the need for synergies or additional stars.

League of Legends update 9.14 patch notes:

Twisted Fate

Cost 2g
Traits Pirate, Sorcerer
Ability Pick a Card—Twisted Fate throws a card that randomly stuns (Gold), deals damage around his target (Red), or restores mana to himself and nearby allies (Blue)

Gears 5 Beta Trailer Reveals Tech Test for Friday, Here Are the Classes Available

Today the official Gears of War YouTube channel published the Gears 5 beta trailer, revealing that a tech test for one of the game’s multiplayer modes will go live on Friday July 19 2019. Check out the trailer below and read on for more details.

This Friday Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, as well as anyone who has pre-ordered Gears 5, will be able to experience Gears 5 Arcade Mode. While no time limit has been set for the tech test yet, it’s likely that Gears 5 Arcade Mode will only be live for a few hours. Arcade is a brand new multiplayer mode for the Gears of War series. Players on each team will choose between one of five heroes and fight to be the first to claim 50 kills and win the match. Much like Overwatch, each hero has a distinct playstyle and abilities which will determine how a player competes.

Players can upgrade the equipment on their heroes at any time, even in the middle of a match, using skulls. Skulls are earned from kills and assists, as well as the Bounties on each hero, and will transfer with the player between matches and hero classes.

Slide cancels have been debuffed in Arcade mode, bringing the focus back to cover-to-cover combat. Additionally, headshots will deal much more damage in Arcade mode than in other Versus modes, forcing players to use the strengths of their chosen hero to their advantage.

The class heroes and associated stats are as follows.

Kait / Swarm Hunter – Hunter Class

Fast and hard to track, Hunter Class heroes are far more versatile than those in other classes, though their lack of specialisation can be their downfall.

  • Passive Ability: Movement speed is increased
  • Bounty: Executions award additional skulls
  • Loadout: Talon Autopistol, Hammerburst, and Smoke Grenade
  • Available Upgrades: Incendiary Grenades, Boltok, Torque Bow

JD / Swarm Drone – Support Class

Support Class heroes heal their friends and prime enemies for them to kill by marking them. Pity any enemies who wound but don’t kill these heroes.

  • Passive ability: Spot and mark enemies who damage your character. Anyone that kills marked enemies gains a health boost
  • Bounty: Multi-kills award additional skulls
  • Loadout: Snub Pistol, Lancer, and Flashbangs
  • Available Upgrades: 3 random weapon upgrade slots which all vary in quality

Del / Scion – Heavy Class

The Heavy Class is all about having the biggest guns, and getting stuck into the battle.

  • Passive Ability: Every kill grants a Stim, which gives the hero health above the normal maximum
  • Bounty: Multi-kills award additional skulls
  • Loadout: Talon Autopistol and Hammerburst
  • Available Upgrades: RL-4 Salvo, Buzzkill, Mulcher

Marcus / Swarm Grenadier – CWB Class

The CQB Class is all about getting up close to the enemy and ripping them a new one. Every upgrade brings players close to the action, but they can run and hide quickly if necessary.

  • Passive Ability: The distance and speed heroes can cover slide from is increased
  • Bounty: Executions award additional skulls
  • Loadout: Snub Pistol, Enforcer, and Smoke Grenade
  • Available Upgrades: Gnasher, Breaker Mace, Shock Grenades

Fahz / Swarm Sniper – Sniper Class

Unmoving when shot, Sniper Class heroes are for players who enjoy taking enemies down across great distances.

  • Passive Ability: While ADS or fully scoped, these heroes are immune to flinching
  • Bounty: Headshot kills award additional skulls
  • Loadout: Talon Autopistol, Lancer, and Flashbang Grenade
  • Available Upgrades: Longshot, Marzka, and Boltok

The Gears 5 Beta trailer also shows a host of interesting gameplay mechanics, including finisher moves and environmental traps for players to use to their advantage. We’ll know more when the Gears 5 Tech Test goes live this Friday.

Fallout 76 Tourist Guide: Find the Tourist Without Server Hopping in Fallout 76 With This Tourist Trap Map

Finding the ProSnap Deluxe Camera in Fallout 76 is an incredibly annoying task. In fact, trying to find the Tourist in Fallout 76 is so frustrating that it drove one Reddit user to create a route that guarantees you’ll find them without server hopping. Lucky for you, we’re here! Here’s MP1st’s Fallout 76 Tourist guide!

The Tourist Trap Map

Reddit user wickedychickady created this route, which they’re calling the Tourist Trap Map, as a way for Fallout 76 players to easily locate the Tourist and avoid server hopping, the only method players have been using until now.

The map with an actual route on is below. It’s got a key on it with approximate Cap costs for each jump. The idea is that you go from the very first location to the last, and at one of the points along the way you’ll find Ansel or Anne the Tourists.

Tourist Trap Map With Route

The user created the above map using the locations from this one, however, without a decent route it was all about jumping around until you found what you needed.

The route we have here is the most optimal for your Caps. If you’re trying to accomplish the Camera Challenges in Fallout 76 and don’t care about spending Caps on fast travel, then this is a good way to do it without breaking the bank.

Apparently if you have the Travel Agent card equipped you’ll only spend a maximum of 90 Caps for this route. Without the card, you’re going to spend 130 Caps at the very most.

If you’re questioning the logic of doing this route rather than server hopping, we can save you some time. It will take much longer, and far more of your sanity, to server hop than it will to fast travel along this route. The loading times in fallout 76 are not kind.

As if the map wasn’t enough, we’ve also got images of each location and what you’re looking for. Check those out below.

Anne at Watoga Welcome Sign
Anne at Landview Lighthouse
Anne at Bolton Greens
Ansel at Colonel Kelly Monument
Anne at the Palace of the Winding Path
Anne at Philippi Battlefield Cemetery
Ansel at Wavy Willard’s Water Park
Ansel at Tyler County Fairgrounds
Anne at Point Pleasant
Ansel at the Giant Teapot
Anne at Beckley Mine Exhibit
Ansel at Miner’s Monument
Ansel at the Whitesprings Resort

In a brilliant move wickedychickady has also created a video guide for the locations too, which you can view here if you want to.

Hopefully this helps you save time while looking for the Tourist in Fallout 76. Keep an eye out on MP1ST for the very latest news about the game, like Update 1.23 Patch Notes.
