Call of Duty: WWII Domination Spawn Guide – Where Enemies Spawn in Each Map

[tps_header]

While team deathmatch (TDM) might be the most popular mode in Call of Duty, Domination has its fair share number of fans, too. However, one thing that might infuriate people in Domination (Dom) can be the spawns. By this, I mean not knowing which side the enemy spawns which means you’ll get killed from behind, which is a problem every Call of Duty game has, and COD: WWII is no different.

Thanks to Reddit user  jgod_316, a Call of Duty: WWII Domination spawn guide just got made, and it looks solid enough. Check out how you should approach each map in a match of Domination in COD: WWII!

The Areas Highlighted in Red are from the TDM Spawns, the Areas in Purple are the added Spawns within each map for Domination, and Lastly Areas Highlighted in Orange are areas they removed from the TDM Spawns.

Warframe Plains of Eidolon Console Version Out Today, New Trophies Revealed

Digital Extremes’ new Warframe expansion called the Plains of Eidolon finally has a console release date! For those not unfamiliar with Plains of Eidolon, it’s the biggest expansion so far for the free-to-play shooter, and it’s coming today, November 14 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!

Here’s what Digital Extremes has to say about the expansion (via the PlayStation Blog):

If you have been playing Warframe over the years, either as a veteran or weekend warrior, you are familiar with traveling from your ship to planets and back to unlock and play missions. The procedurally-generated mission maps have a clear start and finish, with objectives that lead you through fixed and enclosed environments. Today, we’re launching an open-space Landscape called Plains of Eidolon on PlayStation, which enables you, faithful Tenno, the chance to explore an open territory like never before in Warframe.

You can approach the environment any way you want. The Plains offer a continual asymmetrical day-night cycle with different activities in each timeframe. Want to hang out in the settlement town of Cetus with friends and visit the Ostron vendors? Craft your very own bone-crushing melee weapon (which we call a “Zaw”)? Burst straight into combat against new Grineer enemy types by raiding base camps and ambushing roaming squads?

Or are you a proud veteran player, with the experience to take on the ultimate battle against the titanic Teralyst Eidolon, a giant monstrosity that requires a calculated blend of combat skills and systems to beat it?

According to Digital Extremes, Plains of Eidolon will be a massive 2.5×2.5 kilometer open world territory with creatures, enemies, surprises and more.

Not only will the content be free, but there will also be a couple of new Trophies/Achievements for it, too!

Saya’s Vigil – Complete the Saya’s Vigil Warframe Quest
From on High – Kill 100 grounded enemies while in Archwing Mode above the Plains of Eidolon
Forged In Fire – Craft your first Zaw
By the Dawn’s Early Light – Survive a night on the Plains of Eidolon
Tomb Looter – Explore all of the Eidolon Caves
Sleds of Sunshine – Travel 500 meters in a single slide across the Plains of Eidolon
The Great Eidolon Hunt – Defeat an Eidolon Teralyst

For Warframe fans, let us know how the expansion plays. Warframe has been four years out and is still very much alive and well, which speaks volumes about its quality more than anything.

Have you downloaded the Warframe expansion yet? What do you make of it so far?

A new update for Star Trek Online has been released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The latest patch adds a new featured episode, available to “Captains levels 10 and up,” a new officer specialization and more.

For the full list of patch notes, see below:

New Content and Features:

  • Melting Pot Featured Episode
    • In “Melting Pot,” captains will pay a visit to the new joint Lukari-Kentari colony.
    • With Captain Kuumaarke and Captain La Forge, explore what Dranuur holds and find out if the colonists can make it work.
    • This new episode will be available for Captains levels 10 and up.
  • Primary Specialization: Miracle Worker
    • Miracle Workers lean heavily on healing and weapon enhancing abilities, belying their roots as an engineering-heavy specialization.
    • Miracle Worker is a Primary Specialization, but Captains may instead choose to slot it as a Secondary to benefit from the first 15 abilities offered.
    • Abilities may be purchased in this Specialization even while it is inactive.
    • With the introduction of a new Primary Specialization, we are also increasing the cap on Specialization Points up to a new max of 180.
      • Players that exceed this amount will instead receive Dilithium Ore if the current Specialization XP is maxed out.
  • Miracle Worker Bridge Officer Specialization
    • Advancing in the Miracle Worker Specialization will grant captains the ability to add the Miracle Worker Specialization to any existing Bridge Officers, through the creation of Specialization Qualifications.
  • Dranuur Colony Fleet Holding
    • With Season 14: Emergence, Dranuur Colony will become available as a new joint Lukari-Kentari-themed Fleet Holding, available to all Fleets in Star Trek Online.
    • Player fleets will be presented with a full-sized Holding, comprised of a primary track and three subtracks, each with five tiers of progression.
      • Each tier and subtrack will offer fleets new improvements to their Colony World holding, as well as access to new equipment, and new gameplay options.
  • Colony Fleet Holding Invasion Scenario
    • The invasion simulation is a multi-location wave defense event, which allows up to 20 fleet members to participate without needing to queue.
    • Travel to the Dranuur Colony Fleet Holding to start the event!
    • To access this event, players must obtain 3 tokens from fleet projects, then talk to the security officer on the docks.
  • Dranuur Beach Assault
    • The Tzenkethi are amassing for a ground assault on Dranuur.
    • Stop their forces and drive them out of the colony!
    • Dranuur Beach Assault is our first 10 player cooperative ground defense queue.
    • Participating in it will earn players a choice of Fleet or Lukari marks.
    • The queue is available to all captains of level 50+.
  • Dranuur Gauntlet
    • Dranuur Gauntlet is a new, five-player, cross-faction queue.
    • The joint Kentari-Lukari colony in the Dranuur system is under attack, as an enemy fleet moves to assault the planet before its orbital defenses can be completed.
    • Keep the planetary defenses intact while the ground crews work to replicate important tactical systems they require. Once those are ready, players will be able to fully activate the defense satellites to aid in the defense.
    • This queue is designed for level 60 players, with normal, advanced, and elite versions.

General:

  • Added missing icons to journal entries for Yesterday’s War arc.
  • The displayed amount of turn rate on a ship now displays correctly.
  • Resolved an issue where some starships showed an incorrect name in Drydock.

Systems:

  • Tzenkethi stealth drones will now respect line of sight.

    • In place of these reduced rewards, these assignments now also reward Energy Credits proportionate to the amount of GPL that has been removed.
  • Fleet Starbase: Fleet Personnel packages of Duty Officers may now be purchased in bulk, up to 50 at a time
  • Resolved an issue that prevented players from equipping specialization kit modules in space maps.
  • Temporary Ships, such as the Obelisk, no longer have vanity equipment slots.
    • This only affects ships given temporarily in missions.
  • The “Kill Tzenkethi” Accolades have their own category in the accolades tab.
  • Duty officers that reduce cooldowns such as Technicians or Projectile Weapons Officers should now be more responsive about reducing those cooldowns.
  • Ships called in by Fleet Support now have a hard-capped time limit of 5 minutes, instead of remaining indefinitely when in combat.
  • Resolved a display name issue on the Na’kuhl Battlecruiser, where it was named “Archeros” by default instead of “Acheros.”
    • This change will only affect newly commissioned versions of this ship.
  • Resolved an issue that caused the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroy [T6] to come with only 2 device slots. It now has 3, as intended. This affects existing versions of this ship.

Star Wars Battlefront II Refund Option Has Not Been Removed, EA Confirms

Star Wars Battlefront II continues to attract a lot of hate from the gaming community. However, this time, it really isn’t justified.

The latest complaint is that the refund option for Battlefront II on PC has been removed, as a way to discourage players from trying to get their money back. While players are right that there isn’t a refund option, they’re wrong when they think it’s recently been removed.

The refund option hasn’t been available for at least four years, as proven by complaints on SimCity forum thread

I’ve gone and pre-ordered the delux digital version of Simcity, but now I dont have the money for it and have changed my mind. But I cant find a way of cancelling the order either online or through Origin itself!! I know that under consumer rights here in the UK, I’m perfectly aloud to backout of the pre-order anytime I like before its official release, but it seems there is no easy way of doing so!

Please can someone help me! I’m probably just being thick, but cannot find how to cancel the pre-order anywhere!!!

EA confirmed this on Reddit:

This time EA isn’t to blame!

In other Battlefront II news, developers say that they have been receiving death threats and personal attacks due to loot crate controversy, EA has achieved the most downvoted comment in Reddit history, and DICE has issued a statement regarding the Credits grind for unlocks

Overwatch Xbox One X 4K Update Being Worked on, Blizzard Confirms

The Xbox One X is seeing more and more existing titles offering their support with “enhanced” patches, bringing 4K visuals, HDR compatibility, and other goodies to the platform.

One popular title that hasn’t yet received an Xbox One X update is Overwatch. However, while speaking to Windows Central, developer Blizzard confirmed that support is planned and being worked on.

Overwatch team is excited with great possibilities Xbox One X opens. The team is currently exploring how the game experience can be enhanced on this platform to leverage the console’s incredible hardware, and is working on implementing 4K resolution in the game on Xbox One X. It is very important for the team to make sure the user interface looks natural on a truly big screen. We will share more details about our plans for 4K support on Xbox One X later.

Sounds like it’ll be out as soon as it’s ready! Overwatch‘s visuals should look great in 4K.

If you’re curious about the other Xbox One X supported games, check out the full list here.

In other Overwatch news, publisher Activision said that it “would like very much” to make a movie based on the game, Blizzard believes that Overwatch doesn’t belong in the loot box controversy, and the development team and voiceover talent congratulated the r/Overwatch subreddit on hitting 1 million subscribers.

Star Wars Battlefront II Credits Cooldown Prevents Grinding in Arcade Mode

Those hoping to grind Star Wars Battlefront II‘s Arcade mode for Credits, will be disappointed to hear that there’s a cooldown in place to prevent too much currency being earned in too short a space of time.

Evidence of the Battlefront II cooldown system is popping up everywhere.

Executive editor of Game Informer, Andrew Reiner, posted the following image on Twitter:

Reddit user chrislocho says that he’s “been doing all the arcade missions today and after my 2 hour cooldown it went to 24 hours.”

Gaming personality Boogie2988 captured the cooldown notification while streaming on Twitch:

It’s bizarre to see this type of system used in a game like Star Wars Battlefront II, and I’m sure the community won’t be happy about it.

What do you think of this cooldown system? Let us know.

In other Star Wars Battlefront II news, developers say that they have been receiving death threats and personal attacks due to loot crate controversy, EA has achieved the most downvoted comment in Reddit history, and DICE has issued a statement regarding the Credits grind for unlocks

PUBG Desert Map Minimap Mined From 1.0 Test Patch, Jet Skis Also Discovered

In addition to the vaulting, climbing and overhauled ballistics that came with the recent PUBG Test Server patch, the update also contained files which detailed the upcoming desert location’s minimap.

Reddit user blizzfarts posted a high-res image of the map, showing all locations and buildings.

Click here to view the entire map at full resolution.

It’s unknown whether the location names are placeholders, or whether we’ll actually see these used at the launch of 1.0. Shouting “Let’s go Bareback” over Discord would be pretty bizarre, though!

Here’s a list of all locations:

  • Bareback
  • Lariat
  • Zombie
  • Military Base
  • Wasteland
  • Desolation
  • Crater alpha
  • Dirtbag
  • Cartel Mansion
  • Murderland
  • Fracture

  • Crater Bravo
  • Mishap
  • Hard Luck
  • Strangle
  • Crossroads
  • Prison
  • Punishment

In addition to the desert map minimap, an image of a jet ski was datamined by Art_7s. Check it out:

What do you think of the desert map? Does it look different enough to Erangel? I’m pretty excited for the scenery to change, and can’t wait to explore the new locations. Oh, and that jet ski looks pretty awesome, too! (Here’s hoping it handles well!)

In other PUBG news, the upcoming desert map got new screenshots showing off other locations, the PUBG developer revealed a new project they’re working on, and sales of the game broke 20 million

Report – Star Wars Battlefront II Campaign Completion Reward Reduced From 20,000 to 5,000 Credits

Following player outrage at the ludicrous grind required to unlock Heroes in Star Wars Battlefront II‘s multiplayerdeveloper DICE opted to reduce the cost of all unlockable characters by 75 percent

This change has been celebrated by many players, who see it as a victory for the community, but also evidence that the developers are listening.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a nasty plot twist. Hero costs weren’t the only thing getting slashed. Those who completed the game’s single-player campaign prior to the Hero cost cuts were receiving 20,000 Credits. Those completing the campaign after the price reductions are now receiving 5,000 Credits.

DICE seems to have balanced out the reduction in Hero cost by making it trickier to get Credits via single-player.

Reputable Australian gaming website Stevivor claims that an EA representative confirmed this change was “a result of a reduction in in-game character unlock feeds.”

I suppose the only bright side is that multiplayer-only gamers won’t be affected…

In other Star Wars Battlefront II news, developers say that they have been receiving death threats and personal attacks due to loot crate controversy, EA has achieved the most downvoted comment in Reddit history, and DICE has issued a statement regarding the Credits grind for unlocks

Call of Duty: WWII COD Points Live Date Pushed Back to November 21

Originally planned to launch tomorrow, Call of Duty: WWII’s COD Points live date is being pushed to November 21 by Activision. While no reason was given, it’s assumed that this is most likely due to server issues, and other game problems that have yet to be resolved.

Those who bought the digital edition of COD: WWII, the bonus 1,100 CP will be awarded when it’s live. So don’t worry, your virtual currency isn’t going anywhere.

If you can’t see the tweet, it reads:

As an update to an earlier announcement, the COD Points live date has been shifted to November 21. As a digital edition owner, your bonus of 1,100 CP will be awarded at that time. Thank you for your patience.

For those not familiar with COD Points, it’s used to buy Supply Drops in the game, which (for now) house gun variations that offer more XP per kill, Calling Cards and other items. It’s not known whether COD: WWII will offer Supply Drops-exclusive weapons like past entries in the franchise, Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare, and Sledgehammer Games’ own, Advanced Warfare.

In other COD: WWII news, we just posted a new video showcasing the most useful equipment in War mode that no one uses. We also just posted our Infantry guide the other day for assault rifle users.

NBA Star Gordon Hayward Needed to Ask His Coach to Enter a Halo Tournament Back in High School

If there’s one thing I appreciate about gaming is that video games aren’t an exclusive hobby to nerds and geeks like it was back in the ’80s and early ’90s. Case in point: we have an NBA star talk about him entering a Halo tournament.

Gordon Hayward, Boston Celtic all-star who got injured at the start of the NBA season, talks about having to ask his coach Brad Stevens (his coach at college, who’s now also the coach of the Celtics), was so addicted and talented at Halo that he entered tournaments for money. Since Hayward was a high school athlete making money at the time, there might be NCAA rules that prevented him from participating, which would impact his career. What to do, then? Simple. Hayward asked Stevens if any NCAA rules would be broken if he participated in a Halo tournament.

I had to call coach Stevens to ask him if its was okay to play in a Halo tournament. I’m sure that was the last thing he wanted his new recruit to call him about. But he was okay with it and we actually won the tournament. So we won money, which was cool.

Read that last part of Hayward’s quote again: they won the tournament, which kinda makes all of this more awesome.

Hayward says he still plays video games after NBA games as a way to wind down. Given he’ll be out for the rest of the NBA season, he’ll have a lot of time left for gaming.

Call of Duty: WWII Continues Dominance in UK Video Game Charts

In news that should come as a shock to no one, Call of Duty: WWII continues to dominate the sales charts worldwide. In the UK video game charts, this year’s Call of Duty entry maintains its tight grip on the top spot.

Not only that, but COD: WWII posts the best week two sales for any game in the UK charts for 2017, beating previous record holder FIFA 18

Check out the top 10 UK video game charts below (as of November 11).

  1. Call of Duty: WWII (Activision)
  2. FIFA 18 (EA)
  3. Assassin’s Creed Origins (Ubisoft)
  4. Need for Speed Payback (EA)
  5. Sonic Forces (Sega)
  6. Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo)
  7. Forza Motorsport 7 (Microsoft)
  8. Forza Horizon 3 (Microsoft)
  9. Gran Turismo: Sport (Sony)
  10. Football Manager 2018 (Sega)

I take it, that $500 million earnings for the first three days for COD: WWII have some pretty warm company now, huh? It’s certainly selling better than last year’s Infinite Warfare — a fact Activision surely loves.

Surprised at all by this? Do you think Star Wars Battlefront II will be able to overtake COD: WWII?

Dead Dozen Is an Upcoming Multiplayer Horror Game That Pits Soldiers Against Zombies

Developer Fntastic has announced that it’s focusing on a new project called Dead Dozen. The upcoming horror game has survivors facing off against ghouls.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1BGqMlEHzk

DEAD DOZEN is a Multiplayer Action Horror Game where you turn into a ghoul after your death as a human. Loot, barricade and cooperate when you play as a Survivor or infiltrate, infect and eat your former human friends when you play as a Ghoul.

Dead Dozen is a 12-player based game. From what we can gather, one player will start off as a ghoul with 11 survivors. Slowly, one by one, players will fall victim, resulting in one survivor battling it out against 11 ghouls.

The aim of the game is to “no matter what, try to stay alive.” Playing as a survivor will give you free rein to collect loot, such as weapons, ammo and certain items to help defeat the ghouls. While in this mode, you’ll be able to obstruct doorways and other means of access to prevent Ghouls from reaching you.

While playing as a Ghoul, you aim to spread the infection and create terror among the survivors. Destroying “brittle walls” and other restrictions will get you one step closer to contaminating those around you.

Dead Dozen‘s upcoming alpha will release with a “core game loop,” and one multiplayer map.

The developers are planning to reveal a gameplay trailer this December, according to a forum post. The game is set to release January 8, 2018 in its alpha state.

You can purchase the First Infected Edition for $14.99 until November 30, or the Limited Supreme Edition for $39.99.

Fntastic has also announced that they sold their previous project, The Wild Eight, to publisher HypeTrain Digital due to some “internal conflict”:

This decision was very hard for us, because our team was hoping to always evolve the game. The Wild Eight is our debut project, it brought us first success and valuable experience. But nevertheless, because of internal conflict with partners within the company, we had to sell the project to the publisher, who is now successfully supporting the project. We will always love The Wild Eight, it’s in our hearts.

What do you think to this approaching horror game? Let us know below.

In other news, Call of Duty: WWII accidentally launched with double XP enabled, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has said he’s “very much against” predatory monetization schemes, and an Overwatch movie is something Activision “would like very much.”

Star Wars Battlefront II Hero Unlock In-Game Prices Drastically Reduced, DICE “Fully Committed” to Community

Following news that it’d take 40 real-life hours to unlock Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Battlefront II that understandably made quite a few people upset, EA has now released an update on how Heroes can be earned in the game.

In an official post on the game’s website, Executive Producer at DICE, John Wasilczyk gave an update on how much Heroes will cost in the game. Note that by “cost,” I mean in-game currency (Credits) and not real-world money. According to DICE, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader can now be obtained for 15,000 credits (a 75 percent reduction), Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca and Leia for 10,000 credits, and Iden Versio at 5,000 credits. Based on what the studio has seen in the early access trial happening now for Xbox One and PC gamers, DICE thinks this will make earning these Heroes an achievement, but one that will be accessible (read: doable) by all players.

Fans can look forward to the change today, as an update will be “loaded” into the game according to DICE.

Additionally, the studio is addressing the social backlash of Star Wars Battlefront II, and will even be doing a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) this Wednesday with “key leads” of the studio attending.

We’ve also been listening to how much you’re loving features in the game (Starfighter Assault, 40 player MP battles, Darth Maul lightsaber throws, etc.) as well as what you haven’t liked. We know some of our most passionate fans, including those in our subreddit, have voiced their opinions, and we hear you. We’re making the changes to the credit levels for unlocking heroes and we’re going to keep making changes to improve the game experience over time. We welcome the conversation.

For those of you already playing, thank you. For those of you looking forward to playing the Star Wars™ game you’ve been waiting for, thank you, too. The team is fully committed to listening to our community, continually adjusting the game, and providing even more great Star Wars content over the upcoming months and years of live service updates. More to come.

This is certainly a step in the right direction for Star Wars Battlefront II. Let’s hope this prevents other publishers from trying anything similar in the future, no?
