Call of Duty: WWII Watch Every Scorestreak in Action!

In every Call of Duty title released each year, one of the highlights has always been the scorestreaks that players are able to call in for chaining together points. In Call of Duty: WWII, the scorestreaks are more grounded thanks to the shooter’s “boots-on-the-ground” theme, but they still pack quite a punch!

Thanks to the Headquarters mode in COD: WWII, players will be able to “practice” each scorestreak as many times as they want — and that’s what we did, which you can see in the video below!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5QaggY9O3E&feature=youtu.be

For those who want to know each scorestreak but would rather experience seeing it themselves, the entire list and score chain requirements are below.

  • Molotov Cocktail 300
  • Recon Aircraft – 500
  • Counter Recon Aircraft – 525
  • Care Package – 575
  • Fighter Pilot – 625
  • Glide Bomb – 650
  • Flamethrower – 700
  • Mortart Strike – 750
  • Artillery Barrage – 850
  • Flak Guns – 950
  • Emergency Airdrop – 1000
  • Fire Bombing Run – 1050
  • Paratroopers – 1250
  • Carpet Bombing – 1400
  • Ball Turret Gunner – 1700

Most of the scorestreaks in COD: WWII are variants of past scorestreaks in past Call of Duty titles, which is fine given most of them don’t seem overpowered. This is a positive in my book since this means the focus is on gunplay rather than on the ‘streaks.

We’ve got lots more Call of Duty: WWII content coming your way including a beginner’s guide, breakdown on guns, and of course, our review, which will be up soon-ish once we get a firm grasp of everything the game has to offer. In the meantime, go check out how Supply Drops work in the game and the variants.

Here’s Our First Look at the Star Wars Battlefront II New Loot Crates

Just a few days ago, EA released a statement letting players know that the Star Wars Battlefront II progression and loot crate system are getting significant changes to make it more player-friendly, rather than “wallet-friendly.”

Well, as it turns out we don’t even need to wait until the game’s November 17 release to see how these new and improved loot crates will look like! Over on Reddit, a quick video gives us a peek of what kind of stuff is included in each loot crate.

New Updated Crate Footage! Reveals new items!!! from StarWarsBattlefront

Possibly the big change evident here is how we’re given 60 Crafting Parts as opposed to the usual 20 that was given out during the beta. Then again, EA has said that progression was intentionally gimped in the beta, so maybe more Crafting Parts per crate was the real plan all along?

Speaking of loot boxes, EA CEO Andrew Wilson has mentioned that loot boxes are a conversation “not specific to Battlefront II,” and adds that feedback from the beta was “very positive.” There’s also new gameplay footage that shows us Yoda and Kylo Ren out now, too.

Call of Duty: WWII Has Daily Rewards Just for Logging In

While our Call of Duty: WWII review copy is just a few hours old, we’re knee-deep in COD: WWII content already, One thing we can confirm is that players will get a daily reward of Armory Credits just for logging in!

Armory Credits, which is an in-game currency, can be used to purchase Contracts, Supply Drops customization options and more. Upon logging in to multiplayer, the first thing you’re greeted with is the daily reward of 140 Armory Credits while navigating Headquarters (more on that later). It might not seem like much given the prices of some of the cosmetic items, but it’s still something, and the game rewards you with more for doing almost anything.

Stay tuned within the day for Call of Duty: WWII videos, guides and whatever else we can come up with. Our Call of Duty: WWII review will go live once we’ve tested the multiplayer with the regular players, and once we’ve finished single-player and poured in some time with the Nazi Zombies mode.

For more on Supply Drops, read on for our breakdown on what you can get from each.

Report: Hi-Rez Studios Possibly Reviving Tribes IP as a Battle Royale Title Called “Tribes Royale”

It’s no surprise that the battle royale genre for games is becoming super popular thanks to titles such as Fornite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds leading the charge. However, it looks like we might be adding another title to this list in the near future.

It seems that Georgia-based development team, Hi-Rez Studios, developers of Smite and Paladins,  is working on their own twist on the battle royal genre if recent trademark registrations is to be believed. The studio has registered “Tribes Royale” a few weeks ago, and if this comes to reality, could be big since not only is Hi-Rez Studios working on a battle royale game, but also reviving their Tribes IP.

Aside from the trademark registration, there’s also more evidence that the studio is at least working on Tribes- related according to their recent job postings, which lists the following openings for an “unannounced project:”

  • Weapons/Hard surface modeler
  • FX artist
  • Senior FX artist
  • Network administrator

For those not familiar with Tribes, it’s a first-person shooter franchise that started in the ’90s, with the latest entry being Tribes: Ascend back in 2012.

Whatever this unannounced project is, whether it’s Tribes-infused battle royale game, there’s a good chance that it’ll be briefly discussed or announced during the upcoming Hi-Rez Expo that’s set to take place this upcoming January.

EA CEO: Star Wars Battlefront II Beta Feedback “Was Very Positive,” Loot Boxes “Not a Battlefront II-Specific Conversation”

While we liked what we played of the Star Wars Battlefront II beta last month, it’s understandable if some players thought otherwise given the loot crates, weird progression system and so on. However, even with all that, EA CEO Andrew Wilson thinks the beta feedback was “very positive.”

During EA’s Q2 2018 financial earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson was asked by a Goldman Saschs & Co. representative how the Star Wars Battlefront II beta went, and what type of feedback the publisher got, and whether there was any changes to the in-game monetization mechanics since the beta.

So Star Wars Battlefront II, feedback from the beta and the added assets that we’ve put in the marketplace have been very strong. Feedback on gameplay was very positive. The beta was very robust and probably one of the most stable betas that we’ve had. And again, the core reason why we put betas into the marketplace is really to test the robustness of the infrastructure and systems on which a game of this size and magnitude will run on.

As we’ve looked at the feedback on the graphical quality, the overall gameplay and assets around single player that we’ve launched since then, everything is very, very positive.

Wilson also mentioned the loot crates in Battlefront II, and how it’s not a “Star Wars Battlefront II-specific conversation.”

There was of course the conversation around loot boxes, which is not a Star Wars Battlefront II specific conversation, but more one that the industry is having with players across the global community. And we are engaged in that conversation, engaging with our players on a daily basis as we think about that.

There’s really two conversations going on there. One is about value. And in a world where a player pays $60 for a game, will there also be value in the ongoing digital ecosystem that comes for many years? When we think about value, we look at Star Wars Battlefront II and we say, we start with a game that’s nearly three times the size of the last game. We take what much of the content that would’ve been gated behind a Season Pass, and we offer that to the community for free. So we feel very good about the overall value proposition focused on keeping the player community together.

Then as we think about players that are playing the game for many years post-launch and the digital ecosystem and the event-driven live services that they participate in, it comes down to the second conversation, which is, does the digital ecosystem offer the opportunity for an individual player in the community to pay to win?

And balance and fairness inside of gameplay is very important to our community. And it’s very important to us. And it’s kind of a benchmark by which DICE builds games. And we have seen that in the many DICE games, multi-player games we’ve built over the years.

Wilson does have a point when it comes to loot boxes given it’s a problem almost every game has these days, no? Thankfully, EA seems to have listened to feedback and has made a few big changes when it comes to loot crates and progression in Battlefront II.

In other Battlefront II news, go check out gameplay footage of Kylo Ren and Yoda in action, and it seems the game will be getting a discounted price when The Last Jedi hits theaters.

Do you agree with Wilson that feedback from the beta was very positive? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Battlefield 1 Revision 59 Contents and Exchange Items Listed

Battlefield 1 players, a new Battlepack revision has made its way into the game, and along with it, a host of new in-game stuff like gun and vehicle skins, and more. For skin collectors (that sounded wrong), there’s a few Super Rare vehicle skins that should make the whole Battlepack loot box mechanic worth it.

Here’s what’s in Battlefield 1 Revision 59 for Battlepacks:

Also of note, the “Exchange” list has been updated as well. For those unfamiliar with it, the Exchange list lets you bypass the RNG (random number generator) of Battlepacks to directly buy skins or melee weapon puzzle pieces for insane amounts of scraps. There’s a Legendary Obrez pistol skin available, as well as a puzzle piece for the Dud Club.

In other Battlefield 1 news, don’t forget that a free map is coming to ALL players very, very soon, which should be appreciated by the millions-strong players of the game.

Star Wars Battlefront II Kylo Ren Gameplay Is Here, Force Freeze Ability Is Damn Cool

It’s time to get your first look at Star Wars Battlefront II Kylo Ren in action. I won’t lie, it’s only a short snippet of gameplay, but it does showcase all of his dark abilities.

Give the gameplay a watch below:

https://youtu.be/RId51uir4zY

Here’s a reminder of the three abilities used by Kylo Ren:

Kylo Ren Abilities:

  • Frenzy – Kylo Ren leaps from enemy to enemy, attacking with his blade.
  • Freeze – Kylo Ren immobilizes enemies in front of him.
  • Pull – Kylo Ren pulls enemies close to him.

The Freeze move is a particular highlight for me. It must be super annoying being on the receiving end of that, and having to stand still waiting for death to claim you. (And conversely, it’s gotta be awesome as hell to be able to force other players to stick in place!)

Star Wars Battlefront II is set to launch on November 17, coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Are you going to be playing as Kylo Ren?

Take a look at Yoda gameplay here.

In other Star Wars Battlefront II news, the progression system has been tweaked due to player feedback, the game has now gone gold, and the Galactic Assault maps have been officially named and revealed

Call of Duty: WWII Supply Drops – Just How Bad Are They?

Call of Duty Supply Drops have always been a cause of controversy. At their best, they only offer cosmetic unlocks and have no impact on gameplay, while at their worst, they contain exclusive gameplay-affecting weapons.

So, just how bad is the Supply Drop system in Call of Duty: WWII? Well, with many gamers now playing and streaming the game, new information about the loot drops has been detailed.

Like in previous titles, Supply Drops can be earned through playing the game, based on playtime. The rate at which Supply Drops are earned will differ from player to player, but up to four an hour is what’s currently being reported.

There are four types of Supply Drops available: Regular, Rare, Regular Zombies and Rare Zombies. The content within can include: Calling Cards, camos, attachment variations (cosmetic), double XP, weapon variants (cosmetic) and more.

Rare Supply Drops are earned by finishing contracts (in-game challenges). Completing six Daily Orders will secure another Rare Supply Drop, as will the completion of a Special Order.

Pretty simply stuff thus far. Where things take a bit of a turn is with Collections. Like in Modern Warfare Remastered, the most treasured unlocks are locked behind a requirement for a completed Collection. Players who collect all items in a Collection, will then unlock the final, premium item. Similar to MWR, Armory Credits (in-game currency) can be used to purchase these items outright, so it isn’t totally down to luck and Supply Drops.

Armory Credits can be earned in a variety of ways, from completing Daily and Weekly Contracts, to taking part in mini-games. Bonus Armory Credits can also be acquired from the Headquarters Post.

At time of posting, there aren’t yet any microtransactions available for purchase.

So how bad are the Supply Drops in Call of Duty: WWII? Well, the system seems to be very similar to Modern Warfare Remastered, albeit without any exclusive gameplay-affecting weapons. That is to say, there aren’t any exclusive weapons yet. For now, everything seems tolerable and acceptable, when compared to previous Call of Duty Supply Drops.

Here’s hoping everything remains this way!

What do you think of Call of Duty: WWII Supply Drops? Let me know.

In other Call of Duty: WWII news, Sledgehammer Games thinks fans wouldn’t be as excited for Advanced Warfare 2 compared to WWII, here’s the complete list of Basic Training perks and what they do, and get in the know for the first DLC that’s coming to the game

Called Destiny 2 update 1.0.6 o consoles and hotfix 1.0.6.1 on PC, the Bungie support Twitter mentions that this hotfix for PC will address issues affecting clan rosters and performance degradation.

Don’t be surprised if it’s the same thing for consoles. Once official patch notes are revealed by Bungie, we’ll be sure to update the post.

Improvements & Fixes

  • General stability fixes
  • Improved JIP (“Join in Progress”) rules for Social playlists

  • Fixed a number of exploits for Warzone

– Fixed ability to get inside bases to contest
– Fixed ability to get under the world
– Fixed ability to destroy the core when you should not be able to
– Fixed an issue where the red team shield door would sometimes not have proper collision

  • BTB Assault matches now group properly under their own category in the Service Record
  • Fixed an issue where REQ currency would sometimes not recharge properly when joining in progress to Warzone modes
  • Fixed an issue where players who JIP’ed into Warzone games were not leveling up
  • Fixed an issue where JIP’ing players sometimes caused momentary hitches
  • Added a fix for the “black screen” bug (We believe this is addressed, and will be monitoring closely – please let us know if you experience this issue post-patch)
  • Fixed a bug in which banned players could continue to play matches
  • Fixed a bug where March on Stormbreak and Battle of Noctus home bases did not have player collision
  • Fixed a rare crash players could hit if they died while picking up power-ups
  • Increased the cooldown time on the Banshee’s flip maneuver
