Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Launch Trailer

[SPOILERS] While the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been out for nearly a decade, the footage above does contain a few story-related spoilers for those who may have never played the campaign before.

Infinity Ward and Raven Software have delivered an exciting new campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, celebrating the game’s upcoming launch.

Why a launch trailer so early? Remember, PlayStation 4 users who purchase the Digital Deluxe or Digital Legacy version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be able to play the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered campaign 30 days early on October 5.

Otherwise, the full versions of both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered officially launch on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Although the game is only getting 10 multiplayer maps at launch, developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software promise all 16 will be available by this December.

[Spoilers] Gears of War 4 Prologue – 20 Minutes of Gameplay

Microsoft has release over 20 minutes of raw gameplay of Gears of War 4’s first mission, acting as Prologue to the rest of the game.

It catches player up on the current events taking place in the story, as well as some of the game’s history and setting. It also helps get players familiarized with movement, combat, and other mechanics in the game.

You can catch the gameplay above, but, be warned, you might find it a tad spoiler-ish.

Call of Duty: World at War Is Now Backwards Compatible On Xbox One

Treyarch’s Call of Duty: World at War joins a growing a list of classic first-person shooter games making their way to Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program.

Today, Xbox announced that the fan-favorite World War II shooter, originally on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, is joining now Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, and Call of Duty: Black Ops on Xbox One. Each title can now be purchased separately on Xbox One as well.

For many, World at War was their first experience with Call of Duty multiplayer or Call of Duty in general. The game is also Treyarch’s first second crack at developing a numbered entry in the series in parallel with Infinity Ward who went on to move the series forward into a modern era with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare a year earlier.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, a project in the works at Raven Software, launches alongside Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare later this Fall.

New Battlefield 1 Campaign Trailer Arrives

Having lead most of Battlefield 1‘s marketing campaign with a focus on multiplayer, EA and DICE are finally shining a light on the World War I shooter’s single player campaign.

The just-released trailer (above) presents an emotional narrative, a gritty atmosphere, and a movie-like aesthetic that could make Battlefield 1’s campaign one of the series’ most epic yet. Check out the footage above and be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments.

Battlefield 1 hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21.

EA Access members can start playing as early as October 13 via the program’s 10-hour gameplay trial. Included in the trial are five maps — St. Quentin Scar, Amiens, Sinai Desert, Fao Fortress and Suez — and four game modes — Conquest, Rush, Operations, and Domination.

The full game will be available on October 18 when Battlefield 1’s Early Enlister Deluxe Edition launches.

Infinity Ward Drops New Details On Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Beta

Infinity Ward recently shared more details on the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta, revealing exact date and times that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will get access.

The beta is being split up into two weekends, the first of which will be exclusive to users on PlayStation 4. Weekend 1 starts on October 14 10AM PDT for PlayStation 4. Meanwhile, Weekend 2 starts on October 21 at 10AM PDT for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Star Wars: Battlefront Death Star Gameplay Trailer

Today, Electronic Arts has finally released official gameplay for Star Wars: Battlefront’s upcoming multiplayer expansion themed around the sci-fi’s most sinister world-destroyer, the Death Star.

You can find the trailer above where you’ll catch a glimpse of some of the new locations and characters, including the bounty hunter, Bossk, and everyone’s favorite Wookie, Chewbacca.

DICE Is Giving All Battlefield 4 Expansions Away For Free Until Next Week

As developer DICE celebrates the upcoming launch of its World War I-themed shooter, Battlefield 1, the studio is showing some love to its older titles and long-time fans by offering a pretty sweet deal on some previously-released downloadable content.

Right now, all expansions packs for Battlefield 4 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 are free, whether you’re a Premium member or not. That includes China Rising, Second Assault, Naval Strike, Dragon’s Teeth, and Final Stand — each offering four brand new multiplayer maps grouped together under a specific theme, along with a batch of new weapons and vehicles.

The offer lasts until this Friday, Monday 19. You can hit up the download links for all expansions over on Battlefield’s official page where you’ll also find informations on a few upcoming community events.

Battlefield 1 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21.

Destiny’s Private Matches Are Now Live On PlayStation 4 & Xbox One

Bungie announced today during Destiny’s recent MLG showcase event that the game’s new Private Matches feature is now live on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The update lets Guardians create or join private matches with the ability to tweak options like the game type, map, time of day, score limit, time limit, and light level. As a solo player, the new feature is also a great way to simply explore multiplayer maps at your own leisure without any disturbances.

Private Matches are excluded from previous-generation consoles, meaning you’ll need to be on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One to enjoy the new update. Destiny’s Rise of Iron DLC is not required.

Destiny: Rise of Iron launches on current-generation consoles next Tuesday, October 20.

The PlayStation Meeting Live Stream Is Tomorrow

Here’s a friendly reminder that the official PlayStation meeting will be broadcasted tomorrow at 12:00pm Pacific / 3:00pm Eastern.

What we know so far is that a Slim PS4 will be announced, along with the much-rumored upgraded console, PlayStation 4 NEO. Aside from that, we aren’t sure what to expect, though another rumor is suggesting that Red Dead Redemption and it’s sequel will be announced at the presentation.

PlayStation Network Currently Down For Maintenance

No planned maintenance has been announced, though it appears that the network is down as of right now.

UPDATE – The official status page has been updated showing that gaming and social networking are down. Asked Playstation official twitter has also acknowledged the issue at hand.

Reports are also coming in from twitter and reddit, pointing that it’s down in both North America and Europe.

Seeing that the PlayStation event is tomorrow, this possible maintenance could be in preparation for the new firmware update 4.00. The firmware is set to launch a whole list of new features that the community has been requesting, though no date has been given for the release of the firmware.
