If you haven’t yet caught up on the weekly reset, here’s the new Milestones, Nightfall Strike, Eververse items, and more.

Call of Duty: WWII ADS Tweaks and Quickscope Nerf Coming Tomorrow, Full List of Weapon Changes Listed

COD WW2 ADS sprint out finally getting buffed! Huzzah!

With Call of Duty: WWIII  developer Sledgehammer Games now having a new studio head in Aaron Halon, it seems things are going to change for the game in ways the community wants it to.

Over on Reddit, the official Sledgehammer Games account posted a list of weapon changes, with one of the most requested buffs at the forefront, and that’s an ADS (aim down sights) sprint out buff! This has long been a requested feature since launch, with the current ADS sprint out time being the slowest it’s been compared to past Call of Duty entries.

Those who hate being quickscoped all the time will be happy to know that that will change, too! Check out the complete message below.

Weapon Tuning and ADS/Sprint Times
byu/SHG_Hammer inWWII

Hey everyone,

Guess what? The weekend is almost here! Don’t know about you, but we are excited for it! Last weekend of Resistance Event fun, Triple Double (2XP, 2WeaponXP, and 2DivisionXP), and free MP access for PC! And with it, some changes…

For a while now, we’ve been reading your comments and threads with all the detailed and helpful feedback on some of our game mechanics, and decided it was time for us to do a community check in with you on weapon tuning (including slight quickscoping nerf) and ADS/sprint times. Good news! We have some updates for you. Our dev and QA teams have been working hard to assess, test, and adjust components, and we’re excited to say we have some big changes coming tomorrow. (For what it’s worth, we prefer to give you all clearer time frames for fixes and updates, rather than “coming soon,” whenever possible. This is one of those instances where we can do that!)

We expect these changes to speed up gameplay a bit and improve the overall MP experience for a lot of you. After the changes go live tomorrow, please don’t hesitate to let us know your thoughts and provide any feedback you think could help us improve things. Thank you to everyone who contributed constructively to the dialogue on this stuff! Details below on the changes coming:

ADS TRANSITION TIMES/ADS FROM SPRINT TIMES/ADS SPRINT OUT TIMES:

SMGs

  • Buffed base ADS times and buffed ADS in from sprint times (ADS sprint out times match ADS from sprint times)

Rifles

  • Buffed base ADS transition times, but not ADS from sprint times/ADS sprint out times, in an effort to maintain a difference between the SMG and AR class playstyles

Snipers: Kar98k and M1903

  • Nerfed ADS transition times (a slight quickscoping nerf)

LMGs

  • Buffed base ADS times

Note: Base ADS times for SMGs are faster than Rifles, and Rifles are faster than LMGs. In other words, there is now more of a distinction between class playstyles.

WEAPONS:

MP-40

  • Buffed recoil in an effort to have a more competitive SMG on par with the PPSh-41

FG 42

  • Nerfed fire rate so that the damage output is more in line with other weapons in its class

SVT-40

  • Buffed recoil in an effort to make it more manageable to shoot down range and give a better contrast to the M1 Garand
  • Nerfed hip spread to match the M1 Garand’s in an effort to decrease the ability to quickly kill opponents at closer ranges

M1A1

  • Buffed fire rate in an effort to make it a more competitive choice amongst the other rifles (still slightly slower than the Gewehr 43)

Gewehr 43

  • Buffed fire rate in an effort to make it a more competitive choice amongst the other rifles (still slightly faster than M1A1)
  • Buffed recoil (closer to that of M1A1)
  • Buffed clip size to be 12 rounds per clip instead of 10

M30 Luftwaffe Drilling

  • Buffed damage per pellet to be on par with the recent Sawed-Off Shotgun changes so that this shotgun now has a more automatic 2-shot kill and a slightly more forgiving one-shot kill
  • Buffed shotgun damage range, so that it’s now more feasible to finish off an opponent who didn’t die from a rifle bullet
  • Buffed ADS spread to allow for greater accuracy when shooting enemies that are outside of the obvious shotgun range (while ADS)

Toggle Action

  • Buffed clip size to be 8 shots per clip instead of 6 in an effort to allow players to have more success with this weapon
  • Nerfed ADS spread to be on par with other shotguns (besides the M30)

Oh, and the best part? This new update is coming tomorrow! Once the patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. If this is the direction where COD: WWII is headed, then fans are in good hands.

What are your thoughts in the weapon changes so far? Share ’em in the comments below.

Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Characters Broly and Bardock Confirmed

We already reported on it before, but this time it’s official! In a press release, Bandai Namco has announced the first Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC characters, and it’s Broly and Bardock! Both fighters will be part of the FighterZ Pass, which includes a total of eight new characters.

Check out the official descriptions of each character below.

Broly is one of the last survivors of Frieza’s attack on Planet Vegeta that eliminated almost all Saiyans. The Legendary Super Saiyan’s huge physique grants his attacks an impressive reach and enormous power. His Meteor Ultimate Attack Gigantic Meteor lets him hover over his opponent and instantly unleash a huge blast of energy.

The father of Radditz and Goku, Bardock has perfected his skills as a mighty warrior in numerous battles – a character that’s easy to learn but hard to master. Extending his combos takes skill, but his invincible and deadly rush attacks are extremely difficult to counter. His Meteor Ultimate Attack turns Bardock into a Super Saiyan, channeling the might of the mysterious alien race. Hunt: Showdown Now in Early Access, Here’s What to Expect

Crytek’s ambitious first-person Western horror multiplayer shooter Hunt: Showdown is now in Steam Early Access the studio announced today!

Would-be buyers can purchase Hunt: Showdown for $29.99/ £25.99/ €29.99, and the studio has also released the Hunt: Showdown Early Access notes too. You can read them in full below, to see what state the game you’re getting when you purchase it now.

GAME MODES/MISSIONS

Players will be able to choose between four Bounty Hunt missions. In the near future, we will also add random missions, and two boss target missions, as well as the ability to select your spawn point rather than spawning randomly.

Every Bounty Hunt mission follows the same basic course: 1. Track your target through a hostile sandbox environment. 2. Kill your target-the boss monster. 3. Banish its soul back to hell and collect the resulting Bounty Tokens. 4. Get off the map before another Hunter finds you, kills you, and steals your prize.

WORLD

Hunt is set in a handcrafted sandbox environment in the bayous of Louisiana. Each of the 16 unique locations on the map are steeped in history and lore, which will be unlockable via the library (see game roadmap). Thirteen of those locations could contain your target.

· 1 km² map, including 16 locations

· 28 sandbox features to use strategically to distract or attract enemies.

· 2 times of day: day and night.

· Sound cues, from the screams of a dying horse to the beating of wings as a flock of birds takes off, will give you clues as to the location of enemies, or give your location away and can be used strategically to attract or distract enemies.

· Extraction points—currently stage coaches and steam boats—are your way off the map and out of a Hunt match, and extraction takes 20 seconds. The presence of any player near these points triggers an audio cue to alert others that a potential enemy is lurking.

CAST

· Player Characters

The first player character set available is the male cowboy set, which includes three tiers of characters and 44 visual variations, randomly generated from a variety of outfits, ethnicities, and equipment. As your Bloodline progresses you will unlock more elite hunters.

· Boss targets: The Spider and the Butcher

Each of the games two boss targets (Spider and Butcher) present a unique challenge. Players will need to think carefully about how to arm themselves, as each boss has its own weaknesses and strengths.

· AI enemies: Hive, Meathead, Hellhound, and Armored

These four enemies have different weaknesses and strengths, and will do their best to get in your way as you hunt your target.

· Grunts

A randomly generated hoard of grunts with visual and weapons variations roam the swamps as well, are attracted by sound, and are after your blood.

ARSENAL

So. Many. Guns. Hunt features 33 unique pieces of equipment and 17 variants to date.

· 3 unique pistols (Caldwell Conversion, Dolch 96, Nagant M1895), with 6 variations (Caldwell Conversion Chain, Caldwell Conversion Uppercut, Dolch 96 Precision, Nagant M1895 Silencer, Nagant M1895 Precision, Nagant M1895 Brawler)

· 5 unique rifles (Winfield M1873, Sparks LRR, Mosin-Nagant M1891, Vetterli 71 Karabiner, Nitro Express), with 6 variations (Winfield M1873 Talon, Winfield M1873 Swift, Winfield M1873C, Mosin-Nagant M1891 Obrez, Mosin-Nagant M1891 Avtomat, Mosin-Nagant M1891 Bayonet, Vetterli 71 Karabiner Bayonet)

· 4 unique shotguns (Crown & King Auto-5, Caldwell Rival 78, Specter 1882, Romero 77), with 4 variations (Caldwell Rival 78 Handcannon, Romero 77 Handcannon, Romero 77 Hatchet, Romero 77 Talon)

· 2 unique melee weapons (Cavalry Saber, Machete)

· 3 unique world items (Sledgehammer, Wood Axe, Lantern)

· 7 unique tools (Decoys, Dusters, Electric Lamp, First Aid Kit, Fusee, Knife, Quad Derringer)

· 9 unique consumables (Concertina Bomb, Dynamite Stick, Dynamite Bundle, Big Dynamite Bundle, Fire Bomb, Frag Bomb, Vitality Shot, Stamina Shot, Antidote Shot)

TRAITS

Hunt features 12 unique traits. Traits are permanent passive ability upgrades for Hunter characters. Traits can be unlocked as you progress your Bloodline, and can be purchased with the upgrade points you earn doing this. Once assigned to a Hunter, traits do not consume any extra energy, health, or stamina.

Traits currently available are: Determination, Physician, Quartermaster, Greyhound, Packmule, Frontiersman, Doctor, Pump Jockey, Hornskin, Mithridatist, Fanning, and Bloodless. Mithridatist, for example, reduces the intensity and duration of poison, while Bloodless provides immunity to bleeding.

PROGRESSION

Hunt features three kinds of progression.

· Hunter Progression
Players can level up their Hunters by completing objectives. Leveling a Hunter grants upgrade points that players can spend to buy health and traits. If a Hunter dies he is gone forever—and so are any upgrades or gear they were equipped with.

· Bloodline Progression
Bloodline Progression is the progression for a player’s entire account. Players earn experience during matches that level up their Bloodline. Each Bloodline rank unlocks gear, traits, higher tier hunters, and in-game currency rewards.

· Bloodline Progression & Prestige
The Bloodline Prestige system allows players to reset their Bloodline after they reach maximum rank (currently 100). When a player resets their Bloodline, they receive a prestige badge. In the future, you will be able to see other players’ prestige levels, and matchmaking will take Bloodline rank and prestige into account.

LORE

The Louisiana Case File available in the library contains many clues about Hunt’s backstory via a collection of found documents pertaining to the situation in Louisiana in the late 1890s. Further library books will be added in further patches.

FRONTEND/UI

Hunt’s UI currently allows players to:

· Customize basic comfort and graphic settings.

· Recruit and equip hunters and prepare for missions.

· Familiarize yourself with the game’s mechanics via the manual (found in the library) and a tutorial video that is linked in the menu.

Through Early Access, we will be tracking three leaderboard statistics on your Bloodline screen, and 9 additional personal statistics. We will add more stats to the leaderboards throughout Early Access. More in-depth onboarding and tutorials will be added in the future as well.

SERVERS

We currently have servers operating in the United States and the EU and we will soon add servers around the world in relation to our players’ locations. Players can matchmake within their region or with people from other regions and you can continue to play on your existing profile.

According to Crytek, daily server maintenance will be happening at 11:00 AM CET/10:00 AM GMT/5:00 AM EST/2:00 AM PST for a “short period.”

Anyone jumping in to this? I admit, the gameplay we’ve seen looks very promising so far. Those who managed to play it, what are your thoughts so far?

Monster Hunter World Bow End Game Build Guide – What Armor, Weapons and Decorations to Use

I’ve been pouring in the man hours into Monster Hunter World, and mostly as a bow user. My Hunter Rank is sitting at HR70+ as I write this, and so far so good, the bow build I use for the end- game is good enough for me to solo most tempered Elder Dragons, though you still need to play conservatively, and intelligently to do so.

But before we dive in, here’s a quick tutorial on how to properly use the bow.

Why the bow and how do I use it?

The bow might be the most versatile weapon in Monster Hunter World. You can do well in groups, or even take out monsters solo due to your increased mobility and ranged attacks.

Important to note that for bows, your main attack won’t be to hold the L2 (or LT) button and waiting for it to max out before releasing; no. Your main attack is holding L2, hitting the R3 three times and then O. This will mean you’re attacking one light attack, charged bow attack, max charged bow attack, max charged (spread) power shot. You can add another O at the end of the spread shot to add a rain of metal balls, but you usually won’t be able to pull the entire combo off against Elder Dragons unless it’s preoccupied by someone else attacking it.

Another move you’ll use is the charged sidestep, which is performed by holding L2 and then X to dodge in whichever direction you want. Doing this move will eat up a lot of stamina, but will also mean you’ll instantly have a level three charged shot ready to go.

This simple combo, and dash move, nets a ton of damage and in quick succession, which means for DPS (damage per second), you’ll most likely be second to none given you’ll be firing off nonstop. What’s that? You can’t fire nonstop? Well, here that’s where this Monster Hunter World bow guide comes into play.

Another tip: while the bow is simple to use, there’s a lot of hidden depth to it. Chief among the hidden, unexplained ways to use it? If you press and hold L2 (LT), and see the circle within the circle, that means you’re in the optimal range for the bow, and this is where it will do the most damage (as shown by a tiny screen shake when your attacks register).

Lastly, you can perform the powerful Dragon Piercer by pressing triangle and circle at the same time when the weapon is equipped. Make sure to aim it at the head’s tip or tail passing through to the other side vertically, and not horizontally. The DP works by hitting end to end, so you’ll net a ton more damage this way. It has a long windup though, so best to use it intelligently lest you want to get mauled or severely damaged by tempered Elder Dragons.

End-game bow armor goals

Here’s the pieces I use and why:

  • Headgear: Dragonking Eye Patch – Weakness Exploit Level 2
  • Chest piece: Nergigante B – Stamina Surge Level 2, Attack Boost Level 1
  • Bracers: Teostra B – Weakness Exploit Level 1
  • Coil: Nergigante A – Attack Boost Level 2, Stamina Surge Level 1
  • Legs/Grieves: Black Diablos B or Dober B – Normal Shots or Attack Boost Level 2
  • Fitness Charm III – Reduces stamina depletion when performing stamina-draining moves such as evading, etc.

End-game weapon choices

  • Cera Coilbender (rarity 8)
  • Doom’s Shaft (rarity 8)

Note: feel free to create elemental bows which you can use in different situations. For me, I have the Legia Snowfletcher (rarity 8) for the tempered Elder Dragon Teostra, and Flying Kadachi Strikebow (rarity 8) for tempered Nergigante and so on.

End-game Decorations needed/need to farm

  • Attack Jewel 1 – Increases attack power. Also improves Affinity at higher levels
  • Elementless Jewel 2 – Powers up non-elemental weapons you have equipped
  • Pierce Jewel 3 – Increases the attack power of piercing ammo and Dragon Piercer
  • Expert Jewel 1 – Increases Affinity
  • Forceshot Jewel 3 – Increases the attack power of normal ammo and normal arrows
  • Mighty Bow – Adds another charge level to bows (max charge is given an extra shot)
  • Spread Up – Power shots do increased damage

For Decorations, these are RNG-based drops, so you’ll need to be lucky to get the higher-level ones. If you’re not past HR50 yet, I strongly recommend you reach or go past HR50 before you start mining for Decorations, as the quality of the drops (even though they’re random) significantly go up.

The Forceshot Jewel 3 should be used in case you’re rocking the Dober B Greaves for the added attack boost, but if you’re using the Diablo B Greaves, feel free to sub Forceshot out for an extra attack Decoration (if you can manage to farm or meld one), or something else.

How this armor and weapon combo works and tips

As you can see, this build focuses on the following skills: Attack Boost, Weakness Exploit, Constitution, and Stamina Surge. There are other skills in play, but these four are the main skills you’ll rely on to slay tempered monsters.

With these skills, you should be able to weave in and out with charged dashes (L1 + X in any direction) with insane frequency, which means charged level three shots with your bow are at the ready.

You won’t be relying on coatings which is a pain in the ass to constantly restock, etc. Sure you can use them whenever you want, but with this build you can use the close range coating and the regular arrows and see tremendous results. You won’t feel shackled by having the need to constantly craft new coatings.

One of the key (underrated) items in this build is the Fitness Charm III, which gives you Constitution level 3. It might be tempting to use an Attack Charm III, but believe me when I say this: Stamina wins out in terms of pure DPS dole out, and when you factor in you do more evades, it’s a no-brainer to use.

You’ll most likely should be rocking the Cera Coilbender since it has the highest raw damage output for bows, and give it’s non-elemental, the Elementless Decoration bumps that number even more as well. You can offset the negative Affinity of the Coilbender with the Affinity booster; even without it, it’s a mighty weapon that you can use for all situations.

Once you get the necessary armor pieces, make sure to upgrade them to max ASAP. And when you finally unlock augmenting, bump each armor’s defense up to max again.

Weapon augments should focus on Affinity instead of increasing attack power, as the added increase in Affinity damage is boosted a lot with the Weakness Exploit, etc. boosts this build has.

This Monster Hunter World bow build is something that can usually be used in every situation, every enemy type and so on.

Well, there you have it! This is one heck of a Monster Hunter World end-game bow build that I’m sure will give you as much success as it has for me. Credit goes to Reddit user timy_pelling_errors for the armor combinations. Read up on more Monster Hunter World guides in the links below.

Rainbow Six Siege Color Blind Mode Desperately Needed

A player has taken to the Rainbow Six Siege subreddit to complain about the new operator Lion’s special ability. The ability, which highlights enemy operators in red, can’t be seen by color blind players like user A_Play_On_Nerds, making what should be an advantage, a disadvantage.

Here’s A_Play_On_Nerds’ request for a Rainbow Six Siege color blind mode:

The lack of a colorblind mode has been an issue completely ignored by Ubisoft since the beginning of the game, but it is going to really hit us colorblind folk hard after this update. The game is still playable without red dot sights, but an entire ability based on a red outline? I don’t even know if I will be able to play Lion because of it. Please Ubi, if you ever even consider allowing a colorblind mode, at least do it for Lion’s ability.

Ubisoft’s “Its_Epi” responded with the following:

I’ll raise the flag and see where we are on this!

It’s good to see Ubisoft respond in this way. Hopefully it leads to a long overdue Rainbow Six Siege color blind mode being added sooner, rather than later.

In other Rainbow Six Siege news, Ubisoft says that loot boxes “will never” affect gameplay, this new Outbreak gameplay video shows tips for the new mode, and Ubisoft has no current plans for a sequel.

We thank Glen and Michael for their tremendous body of work on Call of Duty and look forward to continuing to collaborate with them in their new roles. These changes have created an opportunity to elevate one of the key leaders at the studio, Aaron Halon, to lead Sledgehammer Games. Aaron is a founding member of Sledgehammer Games and the natural fit to lead the team. He has over 20 years of industry experience and has played an instrumental role throughout the studio’s history. We congratulate Aaron and are thrilled about the future of Sledgehammer Games, which we believe has even bigger days ahead.

Fortnite 3.0.0 Is Live, Patch Notes Detail Big Improvements to Building & More

The Fortnite 3.0.0 update is now live for players to enjoy! There’s a huge number of changes and improvements made with this patch, including 60fps across all console platforms, building improvements, a new hand cannon weapon, and more!

Find the full list of “general” fixes, as well the tweaks made to Battle Royale, below:

Fortnite 3.0.0 Patch Notes:

GENERAL

Major Improvements to Building!

Players can now build structures just about anywhere, even through trees, rocks and cars.

This allows you more freedom when building (no more pesky trees stopping your ramps).

Structural support still works the same way — only terrain or other buildings will support your built structures, not objects you build through.

If you run out of materials while building, you’ll now automatically switch to the next material with available resources.

You can turn this feature off with the “Auto Material Change” option in the Game Settings menu.

You can now continuously place the selected building piece by holding down the Primary Fire button.

You can turn this feature off with the “Turbo Building” option in the Game Settings menu.

Battle Royale: Switching between building pieces is now much smoother, especially using console controls or under non-ideal network conditions.

New Orchestral Music Score!

The score was created by film composer Marco Beltrami (Logan, The Hurt Locker, etc.) and Pinar Toprak (Krypton TV series, additional composition for the Justice League film, etc.). The hour long score was recorded in Nashville with an amazing orchestra.

Save the World: All music has been updated with an entirely new soundtrack.

Battle Royale: The Login, Launch, and Lobby menus have updated remixes from the new score.

Added Color Blind Option

This can be found in the new “Accessibility” tab in the game’s options.

There’s a strength indicator so that you can find a level that works best for you.

This feature is still in development. We’d love to hear your feedback, especially if you’re unable to find a level that makes the colors better for you.

Holding down the “Interact/Use” button when approaching a chest or downed ally will now automatically perform the action once in range.
This also works when reviving teammates.

Messaging now displays when party functionality has degraded due to server issues.

This includes being able to join parties and send invitations.

Easy Anti-Cheat protection added to Mac.

Improved the look & feel of the game window title bar, buttons and borders on Windows.

Bug Fixes

Fixed Auto-Run being cancelled when opening the map or inventory screens.

Inventory icons should no longer get stuck in a selected state after being dragged out of the inventory.

Improved CPU performance when activating overlaps, such as traps or triggers.

Optimized grass rendering to improve overall frame rate.

Fixed an issue where incorrect numbers could be shown if you enabled the “Show Net Stats” HUD option.

KNOWN ISSUES

Microphones connected to controllers will be muted when changing any audio volume.

BATTLE ROYALE

WEAPONS + ITEMS

Hand Cannon added.

Fires Heavy ammo.

Epic and Legendary rarity.

Found in Floor Loot, Treasure Chests and Supply Drops.

Pump Shotgun behavior has been addressed. Firing the Pump Shotgun and quickly switching weapons will now require you to pump the Shotgun before the next shot.

We will be monitoring any fallout from this and continuing to iterate on how this works throughout the next patches.

Grenades no longer have the ability to Crit.

Removed the Valentine’s Day skin from the Crossbow.

Adjusted Pistol drop chances in floor loot:

Increased Uncommon Pistol by 25%.

Increased Rare Pistol by 100%.

Decreased Epic Suppressed Pistol by 33%.

Decreased Legendary Suppressed Pistol by 20%.

Bug Fixes

Fixed the colorful outlines around weapon pickups not showing up.

Fixed the Crossbow not reloading if the fire button is pressed with an empty ammo clip.

Fixed the Impulse Grenade sometimes not sticking to the environment.

Fixed a recoil recovery issue that caused the reticle to be in a lower position than expected after switching weapons.

PERFORMANCE

60 FPS mode added for PS4, Xbox One, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Battle Royale now defaults to 60 FPS, but you can switch back to 30 FPS in Settings if you prefer higher quality visuals.

This replaces the Uncapped mode.

Optimized weapon and building selection to be much more responsive under non-ideal network conditions.

Several HUD elements have been optimized to improve performance.

Bug Fixes

Fixed hitching that occurred when jumping out of the Battle Bus.

Fixed hitching that occurred when encountering certain skins for the first time in a match.

GAMEPLAY

Players now remain in control of their character for 10 seconds after earning Victory Royale!

Players who do not have an Outfit equipped will now have the same Outfit both in-game and the lobby.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where sometimes no weapon would be equipped on first weapon pickup.

Fixed the crosshair reticle disappearing in certain cases.

Fixed an issue where the wrong item was dropped after switching inventory slots immediately after picking-up a new item.

Fixed an issue where Supply Drops were unable to be viewed from long distances.

Fixed issue where other player models could appear giant in certain network conditions.

Fixed wall traps not triggering if placed behind certain stair configurations that didn’t visually block the trap.

Fixed the wrong item stack sometimes being consumed when multiple instances of a stacking item are in the quickbar.

Fixed a rare server crash when a player would join a match.

Fixed an issue that would cause visual delays when acquiring pickups or opening chests.

UI

The fullscreen map can now be opened while spectating.

The fullscreen map now displays information about what the buttons do in the top right.

The path of the Battle Bus is now visible on the map prior to launch.

When picking up items, we once again display the names and quantities on the HUD, with an improved appearance.

Ammo count is now shown in the tooltip for weapons on the ground.

Added new “Streamer Mode” setting to the Game Options menu, which anonymizes all names that aren’t squad members.

When spectating players, the number of players they’ve eliminated now appears under their name.

Text notifications no longer appear when a spectator leaves.

The “You placed X” message now appears for only 10 seconds instead of 20 while spectating.

Added a Help button to the Battle Pass tab with a list of Frequently Asked Questions.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where, after being eliminated, the banner rank of the opponent wouldn’t match their rank but would instead match your own.

Fixed unclear description of the Emote key binding in the Input Settings menu.

Fixed an issue where messages and popups were affected by the HUD Scale option.

Fixed an issue with escape behavior where it was cancelling game actions rather than bringing up the menu.

Downed players that were still in build mode could not open the menu.

Fixed an issue where spectators would see the character model obstructing their view, if the spectated player was scoping a Sniper with their back to a wall.

Fixed an issue where text notifications would show for spectators joining despite “Show Spectator Count” being disabled.

Fixed not having enough visual padding between the current ammo in the magazine, and the amount left in reserve.

SOCIAL

Emoting is now available in the pre-game lobby.

You can do this by clicking on your avatar > “Emote”.

Banner, Boost Level, and Battle Pass Tier of party members are now shown in the lobby.

The top menu in the lobby now shows expanded information on party members (similar to the in-match menu).

Party Finder has been restyled with streamlined invite/join visuals.

The actions you can take for each friend or invite request are now shown in-line.

Ray no longer enthusiastically announces all friend invites.

Bug Fixes

Fixed several cases of players failing to receive Party Invite notifications.

ART/ANIMATION

Removed Depth of Field blur to greatly increase image sharpness for all players.

Bug Fixes

Lighting during all times of day/night now match the brightness across all Quality options.

Lighting contrast + intensity have been adjusted to improve contrast in certain times of day that were flat and to reduce shadows in times of day that were too dark.

Fixed an issue which caused downed players to become invisible if revived underwater.

AUDIO

Unique Audio coming to several Pickaxes + Gliders within the Battle Pass in V.3.1.0.

Created new Semi-Auto Sniper world impact sounds, so it doesn’t sound as overwhelming when shot at.

Bug Fixes

Implemented a fix that should resolve the stuttering and lagged audio issues that were introduced in the last update.

Fixed an issue that caused the pickaxe equip sound to play when other players jumped from the bus.

KNOWN ISSUES

In rare cases, the game may crash in the frontend menus when ShadowPlay Highlights is enabled. To prevent this, please update to the latest version of GeForce Experience.

After opening a Supply Drop that has been shot down, the loot will sometimes spawn in the sky and slowly fall to the ground.

In rare cases, players may be unable to edit a player built structure.

The current workaround is to press the edit button on an adjacent structure.

Burnout Paradise Remastered Microtransactions Is Not a Thing, Store Listing an Error

Burnout Paradise Remastered microtransactions is not a thing, people! Rejoice!

When the Burnout Paradise Remastered announcement happened yesterday, the store listing apparently listed that the game will have in-game purchases, or more commonly known as microtransactions. Given this was EA and all, people were rioting as one might expect.

Over on Twitter, Ghost Games employee Ben Walkes, refuted the listing, and said that it was done in error.

Ghost Games, for those not familiar with the studio, is owned by EA and works on the Need for Speed franchise.

Given how EA flubbed Star Wars Battlefront II with the publisher’s original plan of implementing microtransactions in the game’s progression system, it’s understandable that people would react unpleasantly for this sort of thing — especially if the original never had any microtransactions in the first place.

Burnout Paradise Remastered will race out this March 16 on the PS4 and Xbox One

Sony Announces “My PlayStation” Social Destination for Browsers

Can’t get enough PlayStation goodness? Want to access your PSN profile and other things on your browser? If so, you got your wish! Sony has launched what it calls “My PlayStation,” which is a browser-based way to interact with your PSN profile.

Calling it a new “social destination on web,” My PlayStation is accessible on PC, Mac, mobile phones and tablets. Here’s some of the stuff you can do with it.

  • Find Friends
  • Edit your Profile
  • View you and your Friends’ Trophies
  • Send and manage Friend requests
  • Send Messages

So, how to get to it? You can either go to my.playstation.com directly, or if you go to playstation.com, check the navigation bar, sign in, and click your username in the drop down menu to and so on.

My PlayStation is compatible with Windows 10, MacOS 10, iOS 10 or above, and Android 5 or above. The website is already up right now, so you can check it out, but you’ll need access info for your PS4 or PS3 to use it (duh), which means I have to dig up my account info to be able to type it in manually.

Anyone interested in checking this out or is the PlayStation mobile app enough?

Destiny 2 Road Map Updated, Here’s What’s Planned for Next Week

Almost a month ago, we posted on the planned changes coming to Destiny 2 by Bungie in an effort to better communicate with players. Now, the studio has given an update, and what to expect next week as part of the Destiny 2 road map of changes.

Note that the Destiny 2 road map schedule below is a guideline, and isn’t set in stone, so not every scheduled feature will be rolled out at the exact time. So what’s planned next week? Check the image below.

With today’s update we’ve moved a few items out to later releases – this is because we are trying to ensure each feature we add hits a sufficiently high quality bar. So while we really wanted to get Nightfall Strike Unique Weapons into your hands next week to coincide with Nightfall Scoring, it’s more important that each of those rewards live up to the difficulty it will take to earn them. They have to be super cool, so we’re giving the artists extra time to make sure they are… super cool. Mod System Improvements are also still planned, but will not be available when 1.2.0 is released. We’ll give more details on when to expect these changes at a future date.

We also have a big addition we’re eager share – Rumble will be joining 6v6 Iron Banner and Mayhem in our new rotating weekly Crucible playlist in 1.1.4. We want to make sure players have a more diverse set of game modes available in both Crucible and Private Matches. Doubles is also planned to return, but we do not have an exact release date just yet. Keep an eye out for next week’s TWAB where we’ll go into more depth with our future Crucible plans.

Just to reiterate, these are planned, but don’t throw Bungie under the bridge if they don’t make it out in time. At least we kinda know what’s coming down the pipe, right?

Call of Duty: WWII Developer Studio Founders Depart for “New Executive Duties” at Activision

Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and last year’s Call of Duty: WWII, will be losing its studio founders, Michael Condrey and Glen Schoefield. While the duo will be leaving the Call of Duty studio, they will be staying put with Activision to tackle executive duties.

Activision released a statement regarding the staff restructure, and in the process, named the new studio head of Sledgehammer Games, Aaron Halon.

Following the incredible success of Call of Duty: WWII, Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey have decided to transition from their duties at Sledgehammer Games to new executive duties inside Activision.

Sledgehammer Games, which is based in San Mateo, CA, was founded in July 2009 by Condrey and Schoefield after the duo departed EA’s now-defunct studio Visceral Games, which worked on the Dead Space franchise.

We wish the duo the best of luck in their new duties! Aaron Halon, the ball is now in your court.

Metal Gear Survive Microtransactions Allow Players to “Increase the Productivity” of Units

Metal Gear Solid microtransactions are a thing. We knew they were coming, but we weren’t sure what form they would take. SV coins are the premium currency, purchasable for as little as 99 cents. The biggest bundle costs $49.99.

Here’s are the amounts available for puchase:

  • 100 SV coins – $0.99
  • 550 SV coins – $4.99
  • 1150 SV coins – $9.99
  • 3500 SV coins – $29.99
  • 6000 SV coins – $49.99

The Metal Gear Survive microtransactions allow players to pay real-life money to “increase the productivity of Exploration Teams, increase food production and boost other features in the game.”

It’s not yet clear how useful SV coins are in the long-term. It’s likely to be a few days before dedicated players reach the endgame, and can tell us just how big of an advantage SV coins grant.

In other Metal Gear Survive news, the game’s Trophies were revealed, a Metal Gear Ray appeared in a co-op trailer, and the game requires a constant internet connection.
