Warframe Railjack Revisited Changes Revealed

It’s the end of the week, and that means a new devstream for Warframe has been published. Along with a number of exciting reveals, developers Digital Extremes has detailed upcoming changes coming to Warframe’s Railjack Revisited update.

Down below you’ll find a list of planned changes coming to Railjack Revisited. Do note, this is not a complete changelog, and once the update is fully published (no ETA) we’ll be sure to let you all know the juicy details.

Warframe Railjack Revisited Upcoming Changes

General Changes:

  • Doubled the Railjack’s innate loot-pickup (Vacuum) Range.
  • Changing the pacing and general feel of all Railjack Piloting and movement to be less reliant on the optimal strategy of “Single strafe Boost then Repeat”:
    • Doubled the Raijack’s base Speed.
    • Lowered Boost Speed by 75%
    • Increased the Boost Speed cost of dodge.
    • Increased Boost Drain (8 – 15)
  • Made scale a factor in damage reduction and bonuses. This means Archwings and their weapons will do more damage to ships, while also taking less damage from them.
  • Fixed inconsistencies with the sensitivities of the emplacement positions (side turrets now match the pilot turret)

Ship Combat Changes:

  • Changed all Health, Shield, and Armour to use the new Tenno versions introduced in Warframe Revised.
  • Halved the Health and Armour of all Griner Fighters.
  • Randomized the number of Fighters required to be killed during the Extermination portion of the Skirmish mission so it’s not always the same.
  • Decreased the amount of time between landing the killing shot to the enemy explosion on Fighters (.1 – 1 sec) down from (1-3) seconds. The effect of this will be not only a quicker pace but also a quicker time to spawn any drops.
  • Decreased Railjack Shield Recharge delay from 5 to 3 seconds.
  • Railjack Weapon heat build-up changes:
    • Apoc – Sigma/Lavan/Nidar heat build-up reduced from 20 to 12. Zekti from 40 to 20
    • Carcinoxx – Sigma/Lavan/Nidar heat build-up reduced from 10 to 8. Zekti from 20 to 12
    • Cryophon – Zekti from 400 to 350
    • Photo( – Sigma/LavanNidar heat build-up reduced from 10 to 8. Zekti from 20 to 12

On-Foot Combat Changes:

  • Reduced the Health of all on-foot Gnneer Railjack enemies by half.
  • Removed scaled damage controllers from all on-foot Gnneer Railjack enemies.

Pacing Changes:

  • Added Caps for the amount of simultaneous Railjack Hazards (Fire, Electric, and Breaches). Your Railjack can only have 1 of each Hazard active at a time.
  • Drastically decreased the frequency of RJ Hazard types.
  • Made each RJ Hazard type more harmful to the ship.
  • Increased the amount of Omni Revolite required to remove hazard events but increased the XP gained.
  • Increased the number of fighters in all alert stages.
  • Enemies now spawn much closer to the Railjack vs. 1000. km away.

Archwing Changes/Fixes:

  • Longstanding issues with the usability of Archwing Melee has been fixed – it’s whacking day -let us know!
  • Archwing Melee Range mods now affect aim assist lock-on range.
  • Archwing Gun stats normalized – space combat now uses ground ‘Heavy Weapon- stats.
  • UI Lead indicator has been added to relevant Archwing Guns.

Systemic Changes:

  • The Kuva Lich ‘Valence Transfer’ has been added for built Armaments and Components-players can now Transfer progress and stats to the new better parts, boosting them.
    • Requires Dirac to perform the operation
    • Combining matching tiers gives 10% boost in stats
    • Combining lower tier gives 5% boost in stats,
    • Two tiers removed (Mk3 with Mk1) is 2% boost

Affinity and Intrinsic Gain Changes:

  • Doubled Affinity-to-Intrinsic Point conversion. You will now gain Intrinsics 2x faster.
  • Increased the earned Affinity on killing Elite Fighters and Outriders.

Avionics Changes:

When it comes to Avionics changes, there’s an overarching goal: Simplify Avionic management.

  • Each Integrated Avionic Type will now only exist with a single Manufacturer rather than three Manufacturer flavors.
  • The ‘retired’ Integrated Avionics will be removed from the player’s inventory via a script.
  • The remaining Integrated Avionic for each Type will take on the values of the previously highest valued Avionic of its Type.
  • ALL Dirac used to upgrade Integrated Avionics will be refunded. This applies to both retired and remaining Avionics
  • ALL remaining Integrated Avionics will have their Upgrades drained.

These changes will be available in their test-cluster (test server), which should be going live later today for invited participates.

What do you guys think? Are these the kind of improvements you’re hoping for with Railjack? Let us know in the comments below!

Following Hi-Rez Studio’s big SMITE patch released a few days ago called the Witch of the Woods, the studio has released another one today on all platforms. Players will see this as SMITE update 11.39 and it’s for a character fix! Note that this is a small download and is for fixes, so don’t expect any new content. Check out the complete changes below.

SMITE update 11.39 patch notes and changes:

  • [XB/PS4] Baba Yaga sometimes cannot for ability 2 or Ult – Round 1

SMITE “Release Manager” Kabir Barry mentioned they’re still investigating issues regarding Baba Yaga and will release another fix as soon as possible.

PC client/server patch went out this morning to address crashes. PS4 and Xbox will get this patch later today along with Baba Yaga ability 2 and Ult fixes. We’re still investigating more cases of Baba Yaga issues and will fix as soon as feasibly possible.

As far as we know, that’s the only change included in today’s patch. Don’t forget, there’s a bonus update for it coming on May 5 as well.

If you spot any changes not included in the notes above, let us know down in the coments or send as an email and we’ll credit you with the find.

WWE 2K21 Officially Cancelled

Wrasslin’ fans, you’re in for some bad news (or a good one), as it has now been confirmed that there won’t be a WWE 2K21 game released at all. This was confirmed by the WWE during its earnings call today on April 23.

This cancellation comes at a rather good time, as WWE 2K20 has been panned critically and commerically given the amount of bugs it featured — which was insanely comical at launch. Now, for those curious, this is the first time in over two decades that there’s not a WWE (or WWF) branded game being released.

Wrestling game fans might be sad at this news, but I gather, some might welcome this since the series does need a break in order to fix the multitude of bugs, maybe shake up the formula a bit and so on.

Are you disappointed at this news or were you expecting at after the debacle that was WWE 2K20? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below.

Battlefield 5 to Get “One More Standalone Update” and It’s Due This Summer

With Tides of War Chapter 6 coming to a close later this month, some might be wondering what’s next for Battlefield 5. In a new post, DICE announced that there’s one more “standalone update” hitting the game this summer.

According to Ryan McArthur, Senior Producer, this new Battlefield 5 major content drop will include weapons, “content,” game tweaks. It’s targeted to be released sometime in June, though no specific date has been given just yet.

Here’s a brief overview on what’s coming:

  • New Content: A new update will be released this summer.
  • Weekly Rewards: Following the summer update, you’ll receive Battlefield Currency or Company Coin as Weekly Rewards, giving you a chance to unlock gear you may have missed.
  • Events and Activities: We’re also planning various weekly initiatives such as the reintroduction of #FridayNightBattlefield servers, where the community can play Battlefield V in a friendly atmosphere. Throwback Thursdays, where we’ll look to bring you together across all of our Battlefield titles are in the works, too.
  • We are continuing our work on Community Games Updates. We are committed to bringing these to the game and we’ll keep you updated on when you can expect them to start coming online.

The studio has also given an update on anti-cheat measures and what they’re doing to help combat it.

Continued Work with Anti-cheat

Our work against cheating in Battlefield V will continue, too. The members of our anti-cheat team are working daily towards making the battlefield experience as free of foul play as possible. Discussing technical detail into our methods may unfortunately make cheating worse, but we want you to know that we’re constantly fighting the battle.

As a reminder, there are steps you can take to help us keep the fight fair. You can report suspected cheaters through the Origin overlay if you’re playing on PC, or through your respective consoles if you’re playing on Xbox One or PlayStation® 4. This walkthrough on the Battlefield™ Forums will show you how. Also, protect your EA Account so it won’t be compromised and used by cheaters. Here’s how it’s done.

Note that this doesn’t mean that Battlefield 5 won’t be supported, as this only pertains to a new (and possibly last based on the wording) content drop. Players should still expect patches and the like to continue, though it’ll be at a much slower pace due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

What are you hoping to see in terms of content for Battlefield 5’s potential last content drop? Hopefully, this means that we’ll be hearing about the next Battlefield game soon.

Xbox Series X Logo Surfaces via Patent Filing

While we already know a fair amount of details regarding the Xbox Series X, it seems Microsoft is pushing out a new logo for the upcoming next-gen console. Spotted via a patent filed by Microsoft is the new Xbox Series X logo.

Check it out below.

Official description of the filing can be seen below as well.

Description of Mark
The mark consists of the word SERIES in a vertical formation to the right of which appears a stylized letter X.
Goods and Services
Downloadable video and computer game programs; interactive video game devices comprised of computer hardware and software and accessories, namely, game consoles, game controllers, and software for operating game controllers; electronic devices for accessing global computer and communication networks; computer hardware and peripherals

In the filing, it also mentions other stuff like watches, keychains, bags, glasses, headwear, patches and more. In short: anything that can be branded with it is fair game.

While companies patent a lot of things, that doesn’t mean we’ll see it come to fruition. But for this one, it seems Microsoft has finally found the Xbox Series X logo, so don’t be surprised to see the Xbox Series X box be stamped with it come launch time.

Are you liking the logo so far? Or do you prefer the old classic Xbox logo?

Gran Turismo Sport Update 1.57 Drives Out, Introduces 2020 Toyota GR Supra RZ (N300)

Polyphony Digital is continuing its excellent post-launch support of Gran Turismo Sport with a new patch that introduces a new car and more. PS4 gamers will see this as Gran Turismo Sport update 1.57, and it delivers the new Toyota Supra RZ!

Gran Turismo Sport update 1.57 patch notes and new content:

Toyota GR Supra RZ ’20 (N300)

The Toyota Supra ended production in 2002 to the dismay of many fans worldwide, but the car made its comeback in the 2019 North American International Auto Show. This flagship Toyota model, which carries over the inline 6-cylinder engine and rear wheel drive, is headed by chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, who also brought the Toyota 86 to life. Under the slogan ‘Numbers are one thing, feeling is what matters,’ he proceeded to create a car that speaks to the senses of the driver. Optimally balanced with a 50:50 weight distribution and a low center of gravity, it provides powerful acceleration with a twin scroll turbo. The quick handling enabled by the wide body and short wheelbase is a result of a pursuit to achieve an ideal sports car, and its glamorous and elegant form and straight six engine sound combine to give it an aura that is unrivaled by others.

The GR Supra RZ was developed for not only real motorsports but also with competition in Gran Turismo Sport in mind. The further refined 2020 model will also come in highly anticipated new body colors. (via PlayStation Blog)

Note that aside from the new car, we’re expecting a few gameplay tweaks and fixes as well. Once the full patch notes are out, we’ll update the post.

PSN Down for People Worldwide With Different Problems Surfacing (Update)

It seems PSN down issues are affecting people worldwide and with different issues depending on the region and whatnot. Multiple people have reported that the PlayStation Network (PSN) is down on the PS4 subreddit.

On the official PSN Network Status site, it mentions that some services are experiencing issues currently.

What’s odd here is the Ask PlayStation Twitter support page has not mentioned of any problems whatsoever. On the PS4 subreddit, people from different areas of the world have weighed in, and what’s weird here is, some can’t join online games, some can’t join party chat.

Note that this is an unannounced downtime, so it’s not maintenance or anything of the sort. Let’s hope it’s not a DDoS (distributed denial of services) as that’s the last thing people need right now while stuck at home.

No word yet on Sony what’s causing this or when it’ll get resolved. Once it does, we’ll update the post. If PSN is working for you, share your location in the comments below so we know which areas aren’t affected.

Update 4/23/29 – All services are back up and running per the PSN Status site.

Team Fortress 2 and CS:GO Source Codes Leak Online, Players Should Be Safe to Play Counter-Strike

Earlier today, it was confirmed that both Team Fortress 2 and CS:GO source codes had leaked online, causing players to become worried about potential security breaches on both titles, urging them not to play. As it turns out, at least for Counter-Strike, there is no need for concerns as Valve has given the ok to continue playing.

In a statement issued by Valve to IGN, the company confirmed the leaks and has, so far, reviewed that of the one belonging to CS:GO.

“From this review, we have not found any reason for players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds (as always, playing on the official servers is recommended for greatest security). We will continue to investigate the situation and will update news outlets and players if we find anything to prove otherwise. In the meantime, if anyone has more information about the leak, the Valve security page describes how best to report that information.”

The leaked CS:GO source code as it turns out, ended up being from a 2017 build that had already leaked in 2018. So many of the exploits from it have already been resolved in the many patches since. As for Team Fortress 2 source code, the community moderators are still recommending for players to stay away until they have finished their investigation. The only major update they have supplied for the community thus far is that the leaked source code for Team Fortress 2 may have ended up being a fake, though investigation are ongoing.

If the source code for Team Fortress 2 does end up being real, expect to see Valve push a number of patches to block any potential exploits to surface from it. We’ll be sure to update this post once Valve has any more details, and has given players the clear to play Team fortress 2.

Rumor: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Out on PS4 First Due to Sony Funding, MW3 Remastered Development Done

Call of Duty fans got a tasty treat last month when Activision stealth released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered (campaign only) on the PS4. While Xbox One and PC owners are still waiting for the game to hit their platforms, it seems there’s a logical reason why it was out on PS4 first, and it’s because Sony funded it and timed exclusivity is part of the deal.

This was mentioned by reliable leaker TheGamingRevolution, who also pointed out that Modern Warfare 2 Remastered was originally set to be released in 2018, though it was delayed due to the  school shooting that happened in that year. In addition to that, TheGamingRev also mentions that Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is on the way, and this too, will be campaign only. He adds that development on this is already finished and it will be on the same engine as Modern Warfare and MW2 Remastered.

TheGamingRev even shows an Easter egg of sorts in Modern Warfare 2 Remastered which you can see below.

The image above is from the museum in Modern Warfare 2 Remastered that you can access once you beat the campaign. In it, players can see a “Concept Art” painting that also had the line “Acquired by the Museum in 2018,” since it (MW2 Remastered) was originally set for release in that year. It also says “Part of the Remastered collection,” which points to Modern Warfare 3 Remastered as the last one in this “collection.”

Note that while TheGamingRevolution has been pretty spot-on with his leaks, this is still a rumor. So don’t expect a Modern Warfare 3 Remastered announcement or release anytime soon. We’ve reached out to Activision and will update the post if we get a response.
