  • Hostage – Secure and extract the hostages.
  • Blitz – Take your team’s flag into the enemy base.
  • Cyber Attack
  • Team Defender – Capture the drone and hold it to upload data and earn points for your team.

  • MTMC – Capture a flag to advance to the next round, teams without a flag lose.

  • BATTLE ROYALE – Eliminate everyone. Survive.

Note that some of these could be game modes that are set to be released post-launch, or as part of the seasons which are confirmed to be coming post-launch.

In other Modern Warfare news, remember when we reported a rumor that weapons will come in Supply Drops like in Black Ops 4? While new murmurs have cropped up on how Infinity Ward and Activision are looking into changing that up, reliable Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has now commented that for now, the crossbow is the first planned weapon tucked away in Supply Drops.

https://twitter.com/TheGamingRevoYT/status/1178449361484824579

Given how Infinity Ward has yet to confirm that weapons WON’T be in Supply Drops, it’s understandable how some players are a bit cautious in how things play out. I, for one, am hoping that Supply Drops will be cosmetics-only.

Don’t forget to check out our feature where we list down the things we want changed based on the Modern Warfare beta.

The Difference Between Multiplayer and Single-Player Games

The gaming industry has had exponential growth over the past ten years. Long gone is the image of kids in their bedroom playing Super Mario Bros and Street Fighter. Video games have gone mainstream, and everyone from athletes to tech gurus are playing them — on consoles, computers or, now more than ever, from mobile devices and tablets. The sector is bigger, and better, than it’s ever been — with developers, from indies to the top brands, releasing new content all the time.

Video games have become so popular in fact, that they’re statistically the most popular and profitable forms of entertainment. In 2017, the gaming industry generated a massive revenue of $116 billion. In comparison, TV as well as TV streaming services made $105 billion, the movie industry made $41 billion and music made $17 billion. And while historically films have been adapted into games, games are now being adapted for film — during 2016 film studios released adaptations of both Assassin’s Creed and Angry Birds.

There are variations in genre, style of play and visuals across video games. But one of the biggest choices players make when it comes to selecting a game has to be between single and multiplayer options — two varying styles of play with unique advantages and disadvantages to each.

Here are some of the similarities and differences between both types of games — and some of the most popular gaming titles that fall into these two categories.

The multiplayer vs. single-player gaming experience

The main difference between multiplayer and single-player games is pretty obvious. Multiplayer games are played online live with other people, and single-player games are played alone. For fans of either, there’s an incredible amount of choice — and many games are available to play in single or multiplayer modes. One thing of the things a player needs to consider when presented with the choice between multiplayer and single-player games is what kind of gaming experience they want to have.

Multiplayer games offer an incredible social experience for players. There’s nothing like being able to sign into a game at any time of day or evening and play with friends – some you know in real life and others from you may have met online – from around the world, all through your console. Most multiplayer games offer live chatting options through a headset, which means you can talk to other gamers during gameplay.

Being able to play with others can also increase the excitement and competition levels of a game. While you are faced with challenges, including quests and battles against avatars depending on the game, there’s nothing like knowing you’ve won against a real life player; alternatively, completing a difficult task with the help of your online friends. Some of the best multiplayer games over the years include Rocket League, Minecraft, Fortnite and Overwatch.

There are many advantages that come with choosing to play to single-player games too. These days, many single-player games are built as full story experiences to be enjoyed — almost like a more immersive film. As in this type of game, players lack the social element of playing with friends in, developers really need to consider the storyline, characters and overall gaming experience. Many people enjoy being able to engross themselves in a well-crafted story and complete missions and enjoy interacting with other characters at their leisure.

Single-player games also do not suffer from issues that arise with multiplayer games. These include online latency (otherwise known as lags) as well as the different personalities that you might encounter on the internet, including trolls. Many single-player games also benefit from not having the costs associated with multiplayer gaming, like yearly subscriptions for online multiplayer services.

Some of the best single-player games released over the past few years include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider Man and Assassins Creed: Origins.

Multiplayer casino games

The popularity of both single-player and multiplayer games has extended into the online casino game market. There are an incredible amount of single player games on the many casino websites that now exists. Slots, for example, is traditionally a single player game that is enjoyed by many people who like to have a go at the online lever and try their luck.

As in real life casinos, however, there are many more options when it comes to multiplayer games. The casino experience, traditionally, was a very social one — which is why it makes sense that it’s been replicated in the online space with so many options for multiplayer casino games. These include everything from poker, to roulette blackjack and of course, bingo.

There’s been a proliferation of bingo online, with Bingoport and many other websites promoting the traditional casino game’s internet version. One of the reasons that bingo is so great as a multiplayer game is the bingo community which has fuelled its popularity for so many years. There’s such a fun atmosphere in a bingo hall; this atmosphere is recreated online through incredible graphics, sounds, animations and prizes for its players. And with so many forums and live chats available during gameplay, you can still experience the best that bingo has to offer on your favourite bingo sites UK.

Online bingo players also get the benefit of promotions. These include sign up offers (like no deposit plays and bonuses) as well as various reward schemes and loyalty programmes to take part in — which aren’t regularly offered by land-based casinos. These promotions really add to the atmosphere and fun of multiplayer bingo online, and are a great opportunity to increase your chances of winning.

Into the future

It’s likely that both multiplayer and single-player games will continue to see success over the next decade. With so many exciting technologies available to developers — and a continued demand from consumers — the gaming revolution has only just gotten started.

Top 7 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta Issues We Want Fixed at Launch

While the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta left a good impression on us as a whole, there are a few stuff in it that we experienced that left us hoping that it will get fixed at launch. The good news is, some of the Modern Warfare beta issues we mention below have been confirmed to be stuff that Infinity Ward is taking a look at, so would-be players might not even experience some of these issues come launch.

Blue dots of death

In the beta, friendlies had a blue dot on top of their heads to let you know that, y’know, they’re friendlies and not someone you should shoot. Unfortunately, there’s this little issue in Modern Warfare that shows the blue dot overlapping an enemy name ID that will totally get you killed. Here’s what it looks like:

Peeking but not hidden

A new feature in Call of Duty games featured in Modern Warfare is the ability to peek at corners. Given you’re peeking, it’s assumed that you’re not exposing your entire body to be shot at. Well, there’s a bug in the game that has you peeking, but leaves your entire body jutting out like you’re shooting at them out of cover. This looks to be one of those things that are easily fixable, so we hope and assume it will be come launch.

modern warfare map list

Footsteps sounds are broken

In the Modern Warfare beta, friendly footsteps are super loud, and it’s annoying as hell. It sounded like a lumbering giant was trampling all over the place. In comparison, enemy footsteps were too soft sounding. This is one of those things that Infinity Ward has said they’re looking into, so we’re not that fussed about it.

modern warfare beta netcode

Dark in all the wrong places

Probably one of the most annoying — if not the most annoying — thing in the beta was how enemies looked undiscernible whenever they’re inside buildings, rooms, or anything that provides cover. You literally cannot see enemies, but they can see you perfectly.

Thankfully, Infinity Ward has said this: “We will also be looking into lighting and exposure on various areas of the map, such as how you view dark rooms from the outside of a building and vice versa, for example.”

We’re hoping that this will be fixed, though we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not fixed entirely come launch since other games (like Battlefield 5) still has this issue up to this day.

modern warfare ranked play

Scorestreaks and not killstreaks, please

If there’s one major change Infinity Ward brought to the table in Modern Warfare that’s not for the better, it’s changing scorestreaks to killstreaks. This means that less and less people go after objectives since there’s no actual benefit to doing so aside from winning, which you’d be surprised how many people care little for.

While there’s a perk to make points count towards your killstreaks, it’s at the expense of one perk slot, which is a huge penalty in a Call of Duty game.

Players don’t go after objectives enough as it is, there’s no need to lessen the incentive. Infinity Ward has made no acknowledgement of this, and it seems we’re stuck with this for now.

modern warfare microtransactions

Spawns are in a word: terrible

In some Call of Duty games, Spawns were an issue, but I’m betting you, it never was as bad as it was in the Modern Warfare beta. Want proof? Go watch this video and see how bad it was.

Thankfully, Infinity Ward is tweaking it come launch. That said, though, we don’t know what kind of improvements they can make, and whether it will be a big improvement. The upside is, this is one of those things that the devs can constantly improve within the game’s lifecycle.

modern warfare beta funny

Netcode: should we be worried?

If you played the beta, and constantly died even when you were behind cover, yeah, the issue there is the netcode, which we now know is worse than that of Black Ops 4! Infinity Ward has not mentioned anything about this, which worries us a bit. If this doesn’t get fixed at launch, then prepare for a lot of irritated players.

This is one of those cases where we’re hoping gets sorted at launch, and the devs don’t keep quiet about. Not just for US players, but even those worldwide.

There you have it. If you played the Modern Warfare beta, what kind of issues did you experience are you hoping gets fixed at come October 25? Let us know in the comments.

Rainbow Six Siege Change Operator Cheat Causing Havok

A Rainbow Six Siege change Operator cheat is causing some serious issues within the Rainbow Six Siege community. The cheat is different to others that provide an advantage to players, because it can actively cause a disadvantage to an entire team by disrupting their abilities, and the way they complement each other.

It’s common to hear about cheaters in Rainbow Six Siege using aimbots, wallhacks, DDoS routines, or a combination of all three, but a cheat that changes a player’s Operator is on another level. While being able to see through a wall, automatically aim at enemies, or ensure you’re reacting faster than your enemies gives you an advantage over others, changing an enemy’s Operator can give the entire team a disadvantage.

Over the weekend a Croatian Rainbow Six Siege player named Lakii posted a video that seems to show their Operator being changed by someone on the opposing team. Operators are the soldiers in Rainbow Six Siege, each with their own loadout and abilities. A team often uses abilities that complement each other in order to win, but with an enemy changing your Operator, all of that goes out of the window. Check out the video below and read on for more details.

Lakii followed the player who changed their Operator into a Ranked match. The player in question, LOLXDFUNNYMEME, was also able to change the skins of Operators for other players, including exclusive developer skins according to Lakii. Ubisoft Support has been made aware of this, and it’s likely that user LOLXDFUNNYMEME has been banned. Ubisoft is bringing down the ban hammer hard on those who cheat in Rainbow Six Siege, in an effort to preserve the game’s esports scene. If cheats like this begin to become commonplace, Ubisoft could have a serious issue on their hands.

Our final Black Ops 4 Zombies map is now available on all platforms with today’s launch of Operation Dark Divide on Xbox One and PC, loaded with new secrets, Wonder Weapons, story elements, and of course, Easter eggs. A huge thanks from the team to everyone in the community for your support thus far, and for those who haven’t experienced the map yet… enjoy, and happy hunting!

In addition to the entire Zombies team that brings every map to life from design to narrative and everything in-between, we’d like to thank our incredible audio department for going above and beyond with the original songs and sound design in “Tag der Toten”. In case you haven’t heard them yet, take a moment to enjoy the map’s newest tracks from Treyarch’s Brian Tuey and Kevin Sherwood, mastered by Scott Eckert:

Heavy Metal Heroes Continues

Thanks to everyone for your love and support for our insane new Blackout LTM, Heavy Metal Heroes… or as we like to call it here at the studio, “Hot Pursuit on Steroids”. We’ve been watching tons of streams and clips since last week’s launch on PS4, and we’ve heard one particular piece of feedback more than a few times: too many rockets!

With today’s update, we’ve reduced the number of available launchers by 20% in Heavy Metal Heroes, so get out there and let us know how the mode feels today. For our players on Xbox One and PC jumping in for the first time – enjoy, and remember to use the new thrust jumps and unlimited Grapple Gun to your advantage!

Zombies Stability Improvements

We’ve added a handful of additional stability improvements for “Tag der Toten” in this update, including a fix for a crash that could occur when players became no longer frozen from standing or swimming in freezing water for too long, another that could happen from stunning groups of zombies with a headshot with the Wunderwaffe DG Scharfschütze, and more. Read on below for the full patch notes.

Don’t forget, Jungle Flooded is now available in all platforms too.

Destiny Franchise Sales Put It at #2 in Best-Selling FPS Franchise in US Dollar Sales, Only Behind Call of Duty

While Activision might not have been that happy with the overall Destiny franchise sales that led to the publisher’s split with the studio Bungie, it seems the players this generation are loving it a lot — especially those in the US.

According to Mat Piscatella, games industry analyst at The NPD Group, since Destiny’s debut in 2014, the franchise is the second best-selling first-person shooter franchise in US dollar sales, and only trails behind — you guessed it — Call of Duty!

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launches tomorrow. Since its debut in Sept ’14, Destiny is the #2 best-selling FPS franchise in U.S. dollar sales, trailing only Call of Duty. Destiny is also the 7th overall best-selling franchise in tracked sales in that period. Source: The NPD Group

Note that this is a bit of a surprise, as I assumed that the #2 spot would belong to something like Battlefield, which has a big following as well.  Are you surprised by this news at all or not that much?

In other Destiny 2 news, the free-to-play version of the game called Destiny 2: New Light is launching tomorrow, and here’s what’s included in it. Veteran players, don’t forget that the paid expansion called “Shadowkeep” will also launch tomorrow, and here’s the launch trailer to whet your appetites.

Once Shadowkeep and New Light are out tomorrow, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

New Death Stranding PS4 Controller Functionality Revealed

A new Death Stranding PS4 controller feature has been revealed by Hideo Kojima. He explained that, should they choose to do so, players will be able to hear BB, one of the characters in Death Stranding, through their Dualshock 4 controller.

Speaking to fans on Twitter, Hideo Kojima posted four separate images of the limited edition Playstation 4 Pro Death Stranding bundle along with a little message. He said that by adjusting the game’s settings, players will be able to hear BB through their controller.

This isn’t the first time that Hideo Kojima has made use of the Dualshock 4’s speaker. With Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain, it was possible to have music blaring out of the controller, or hear the in-game conversations, directly from the controller. While may found this feature annoying, it added an extra level of depth to the title, making the player hear the tape or incoming transmission as Snake was, through another device.

Hideo Kojima also made use of the Dualshock 4 in a unique way with the playable teaser he worked on for Silent Hills, which was ultimately canned altogether. By playing a recording of Hideo Kojima, which he had posted online, into the Dualshock 4’s microphone, players could unlock something in the game. However, due to the teaser being taken down from the Playstation Store, there’s little evidence of what this actually unlocked.

Check out our article on why Death Stranding doesn’t require Playstation Plus for multiplayer.

Be that as it may, this article is adding to the long list of studies carried out by papercheap on video games. But without further delay, the following are the bitter truth of what video game is capable of doing in the life of its fanatics.

  1. It improves gamer behavioural thought

One of the advantages that the video gamer is open to is that, they will improve behaviourally, even without them knowing. They’ll be knowledgeable about demographic boundaries like educational attainment, gender, ethnicity, age, etc. These behavioural knowledge will help them greatly in self-esteem, setting goals, working towards achieving them, among other things.

This is as results of the fact that players wouldn’t just sit tight and watch, they are used to participating in the action as it evolves and solve problems, too.

  1. Video games stimulate learning

Video gamers interactivity also stimulates learning. This is one of the bitter truths that its nullifiers will never tell you. Findings show that it allows individuals to experience some challenges, novelty and curiosity that enhance learning. It unfolds with abundant gateways to foster transferable or extraordinary skills, activities or practice like simulated operations.

If video and computer games are used in the right direction, these two have the potential to stimulate, inspire and improve learning. In fact, they can help players in building their visual and coordination skills.

  1. Video game as a means of therapy

Research shows that video games can perfectly serve as a form of physiotherapy in a more innovative sense. What do you think of children that play video games after their chemo? Video game can be so thrilling that, it can be used as a means of therapy, most children need video games more than painkillers. They derive pleasure from it and as such, it slowly drives away their pain.

Dying Light 2 Length to Be at 15-20 Hours, but Will Have Over 100 Hours of Content

We already reported last month that Dying Light 2 will be four times bigger than the first game. Well, it seems we can now put an actual number to just how long it will take gamers to complete the game, and the Dying Light 2 length is around 15-20 hours long according to developer Techland.

In an interview, Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala confirmed the Dying Light 2 length, but stressed that it’s very hard to measure game length in an open world game (which is true), and adds that to play the whole content, it would take more than 100 hours.

The game can be completed in about 15 hours?

Yes… 15 to 20 hours. It is very hard to measure in an open-world game. How long it actually takes to complete the game because of the things that happen between points A and points B of a quest, so basically it’s up to you how you play it. Also in a game like this, there are a lot of emergencies. Things just happen as you play the game and you have to react to them. But it is 15 to 20 hours for the main story, because the whole content I would say is more than 100 hours.

Note that Techland has also said before that Dying Light 2 needs to be played multiple times in order to see everything it has to offer. Not only that, but the studio has also promised that it will offer the same level of post-launch support to Dying Light 2 as it did the first game.

Dying Light 2 is set to parkour its way out this spring 2020 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure to watch 26-minutes of gameplay of it here.

Battlefield 5 Operation Underground Minimap (Op Metro Remake) Leaked

Following DICE’s big Battlefield 5 patch last week, long-time readers know that this means one thing: datamined info! This time, we have the Battlefield 5 Operation Underground minimap leaked via datamining! In case you didn’t know, Operation Underground is the game’s new name for fan-favorite Operation Metro (new name since DICE says it’s re-imagined).

Once again unearthed by reliable Battlefield 5 dataminer temporyal, we see two layers of the Battlefield 5 Operation Underground minimap, and from the files, it mentions the potential supported game modes as: Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough, Squad Conquest, and Team Deathmatch.

Will this prove to be as popular as Operation Metro was? If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say that’s a yes, though we don’t know how this one will play out yet, of course.

For those wondering, Operation Underground is set to release this October according to DICE (delayed from initially being available in patch 4.6).

Once we know more leaks and datamined info, we’ll let our readers know.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Captain Price Video Feature Introduces the Actor Playing the Character

If there was one character in the entire Call of Duty franchise that could be considered the most recognizable, you’ll have a hard time finding someone other than Captain Price. In case you didn’t know, Capt. Price is in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare given it is a soft reboot. In a new video, Activision has released a Modern Warfare Captain Price video feature that introduces us to the character and the actor playing him.

In the video, Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki had a quick chat with Barry Sloane, the actor playing Captain Price in the game. What makes this even more fascinating is how Sloane is a Call of Duty fan himself, and even played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

In other Modern Warfare news, go check out this hilarious Modern Warfare beta compilation that (kinda) perfectly sums up the beta experience.

Just in case you haven’t been keeping tabs on the game, a lot of rather controversial stuff has made its way out. There’s one about the PS4-exclusive portion of Spec Ops, there’s also one regarding Supply Drops, which is rumored to be being re-jigged by Infinity Ward.

Marvel’s Avengers Thor Info and Abilities Detailed, Has the Strongest Ranged Attack in the Game

Each week, Crystal Dynamics puts the spotlight on one Avenger in Marvel’s Avengers, and this week, it’s Thor’s turn! Check out the gameplay video below, as well as the Avengers game Thor info straight from the devs!

Loads of details regarding Thor’s abilities and how he has the strongest ranged attack in the game has been divulged as well. Not only that, but there’s even a brief Q&A with Travis Willingham, who plays Thor in the game.

Thor exudes the force & chaos of lightning in combat, easily dispatching hordes of enemies. “When it comes to pure destructive power, nobody on the battlefield is more equipped than The God of Thunder,” says Vince Napoli, Lead Combat Designer at @CrystalDynamics\

Wielding Mjolnir, Thor is able to seamlessly transition between ground and air combat at will, launching enemies into the sky and effortlessly chaining together attacks.

“Mjolnir also grants Thor the most powerful ranged attack in the game, as it’s able to pin down almost any foe, locking them in place for crowd manipulation or further combos.”

Thor is also able to access the Odinforce at will. “Odinforce allows Thor to stop attacking enemies in their tracks, channel destructive lightning into any of his attacks, and creative a powerful barrier of lightning that shields him from danger.

Careful and measured use of the Odinforce is crucial for difficult fights, but knowing when to push the pedal to the floor can be just as important!”
As formidable as Thor is with Mjolnir, it is ultimately the combined use of his hammer and lightning that make Thor godly in any combat setting.
For the rest of the character spotlight on the other Avengers, head on over here. Will we get more character reveals past the initial founding members? I sure hope so.

Fallout 76 PTS, Perk Loadouts, Legendary System & More Coming in 2020

While we’re still a few months away before we bid 2019 goodbye, Bethesda already has a lot of stuff planned for Fallout 76 come 2020. In a new post, the studio detailed some of the new stuff incoming for the game, and some of these include a Fallout 76 PTS (Public Test Server), a Perk Loadouts system, and lots more!

We will be talking about Wastelanders and other content, patches, and features as they get closer to launching, but we do want to take a moment to give a quick status update on a few things we see more often than others starting with the features we’re looking to add in 2020.

  • PTS – A Public Test Server (PTS) is currently in the works with the hope to get it up and running in 2020. Once we’ve figured out all (or most of) the kinks, we will be able to provide more details on our PTS and how you can participate.
  • Perk Loadouts – Perk Loadouts are also currently planned for early 2020. Like the PTS, this is still very much a work in progress and while we’re excited to get this system out to you it’s still a ways off before we can start sharing more details. Look to a future Inside the Vault when we get closer to their release.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – Account security is very important to us, and we know it’s critical to you, as well. The wonderful Bethesda.net team has been working hard to get MFA implemented for Bethesda.net. They are very close and are planning to have this enabled by the end of this year.
  • Legendary Player – Originally, we thought and had planned on the Legendary system arriving this year, but plans had to be adjusted while we worked on other things. This is still very much something we’re looking forward to releasing and currently have this scheduled for release in Q1 2020.
  • Social Menu Fixes – We’re aware of an issue that can prevent players on PC from sending and accepting friend invites, and we are also investigating several additional social menu issues for all platforms. We are working to address the friend issue on PC as soon as we can, but this is just one part of a group of social fixes we are looking to roll out across multiple future updates.
  • Additional Public Events Improvements – We’ve heard your feedback that the cooldown between Public Events is too long, and we’re planning to reduce it by at least half with a fix we’re including in Patch 14. We are also planning a second phase of Public Event improvements that will bring additional cooldown adjustments, performance-based loot, and remove the need to tag legendary event enemies to claim their loot. Phase two of our Public Events rollout is currently planned for early next year, and we’ll update you as we get closer to those updates.

That’s a lot of good stuff, no? While some might argue that some of these should already be available, at least Bethesda is working hard on it and implementing these features in.

In other Fallout 76 news, the Power Helmet collectible got recalled, and here’s why.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta Hilariously Summed Up in One Video

If you played the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta, and chances are you did if you’re reading this, then you most likely have an inkling on whether you liked it or not. Regardless if you played it or you didn’t, you really need to watch this Modern Warfare beta funny moments video that shows just how much shenanigans (intentional and unintentional) there were in the beta!

I don’t know about you, but the Mortal Kombat theme song blaring through got me chuckling for some reason. The claymore deaths are really that insane, but given there is a counter to it (EOD perk), I’m not sure if Infinity Ward will be tweaking it. The spawns are really that terrible though, and Infinity Ward has acknowledged they’re looking into it.

If you want to read up on a more serious impressions piece on the Modern Warfare beta, check out ours where we touch upon both the good and bad points we’ve experienced.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will shoot its way out this October 25 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Rumor: Activision Re-Evaluating Modern Warfare Microtransactions Due to Lost Pre-Orders Over Spec Ops PS4 Controversy

In case you didn’t know, a lot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare news cropped up this week, and not everything was good. It was confirmed that one part of the Spec Ops mode called Survival would be exclusive to the PS4 for a year, not only that, but a rumor surfaced stating that the Modern Warfare microtransactions formula of locking weapons behind Supply Drops was once again rearing its ugly head.

It got so bad that Infinity Ward issued not one, but two statements regarding the controversies the game is going through even if it hasn’t officially launched yet. There might be good news that came out of this though. Reliable Call of Duty leaker and YouTuber TheGamingRevolution has gone on Twitter stating that due to a “tonne” of lost Modern Warfare pre-orders over the Spec Ops controversy, Activision and Infinity Ward held a big meeting to talk about Modern Warfare microtransactions, and how Supply Drops work.

https://twitter.com/TheGamingRevoYT/status/1177370234082222081

Activision and Infinity Ward apparently recent held a big meeting regarding my recent post about Supply Drops. The gist of it is that they’ve lost a tonne of pre orders with the recent news of Survival being delayed by a year on PC/XB and the microtransactions news & are

thinking about giving the player the options to earn them again. Nothing regarding microtransactions is set in stone, and like I’ve said countless times before, they are a constant work in progress, but my source wanted to let the community know that they really care.

Again, before anyone takes this as solid news, bear in mind that even if TheGamingRevolution has been pretty spot-on with almost all of his leaks regarding Modern Warfare, this is still not official news, and as such, should be taken with a grain of salt.

Must-Read:

Give how Call of Duty games these days are released without microtransactions built in and are added at a later date, it’s entirely plausible that Infinity Ward and Activision really haven’t finished cooking up how they’ll implement in-game purchases in Modern Warfare.

What do you think? Do you believe Activsion will let Infinity Ward make the right move in how Modern Warfare microtransactions work? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

It’s no secret that Activision loves partnering with different companies to promote each year’s Call of Duty, and this year’s Modern Warfare won’t be any different. Today, Activision announced a Modern Warfare Totino’s co-promotional marketing deal wherein players can get exclusive in-game items by purchasing Totino’s snack products.

Working with Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag to co-design the content in this partnership, players can redeem a Call of Duty calling card with the purchase of on participating Totino’s product (Totino’s Pizza Rolls, Mini Snack Bites, and Multi-Pack Party Pizza that have unique codes on their packaging), a watch with the purchase of two products, and a charm with the purchase of three. Players who purchase said products at Walmart will also receive a 2XP boost in the game. All codes can be redeemed at the official Call of Duty Totino’s redemption site.

Yep, this is nothing new, but will players actually bite to get one of these?
