Victor’s successful Pounce cooldown is 5 seconds (was 3 seconds).
Victor can now move during the successful Pounce cooldown.
Silencing Cloth grants Undetectable for 20 seconds (was 12 seconds).
Iridescent Pendant inflicts Exposed for 30 seconds (was 12 seconds).
The Demogorgon Gameplay Update
The Demogorgon’s portals have been adjusted to be usable more frequently, traverse distance faster, and grant a bit more stealth. The base move speed when charging Shred has also been increased, and the bonus from add-ons decreased. Some portal/traversal add-ons also had their values reduced in light of the base stat improvements. The end result should be as strong, or stronger. We will continue to monitor the performance of these addons and adjust them in future patches as needed.
Power
Traverse the Upside Down cooldown: 10 seconds (was 14 seconds).
Normal Traverse the Upside Down velocity: 20 m/s (was 17 m/s).

Eleven’s Soda: Shows yellow Auras forGeneratorsbeing repaired while traversing the Upside Down.
Thorny Vines: Seal time +10% (was 14%), detection radius 1m (was 1.5m).
Lifeguard Whistle: Survivors near activated Portals are indicated by Killer Instinct without having to charge Of the Abyss.
Unknown Egg: Reduces power recovery time after traversing the Upside Down by 1.5 seconds (was 2.5 seconds).
Leprose Lichen: Survivor auras remain for 3 seconds after emerging from a portal.
Red Moss: When traversing the Upside Down, The Demogorgon emerges from the target portal silently but more slowly.
The Nightmare Gameplay Update
The Nightmare has been overperforming for some time, and his game slowdown addons were still causing more frustration than we would like. These have been removed and replaced with new effects based on Survivor sounds in the Dream World. We’ve also made adjustments to penalize spamming snares in chase and reduced the total number of traps that can be active at once, but the expect the core gameplay experience to remain intact.
Power
Move speed now adjusted to 4.0 m/s while charging a Dream Snare.
Dream Snare charges reduced to 5 (was 8).
Dream Pallet charges reduced to 7 (was 10).
Using a clock to wake up prevents falling asleep for 30 seconds; this includes when getting hit by Freddy.
Added a new Killer Power visual behind the Survivor portraits to indicate the 30 second sleep immunity timer.

Swing Chains: While Survivors are in the Dream World, the sounds of their footsteps are 50% louder.
The Huntress Addon Update
The Huntress was among the last of the older killers with incorrect add-on rarities, and this has now been fixed! Several addons have been altered to give more interesting effects and her most controversial addon has been adjusted so it no longer allows carrying more than one hatchet.
Coarse Stone: The grunts of pain from hit targets are increased by 50% until they are fully healed.
Amanita Toxin: Hit target suffers from the Blindness status effect for 60 seconds (was 30 seconds).
Deerskin Gloves: Now Rare.
Fine Stone becomes Weighted Head: Hit target suffers from the Incapacitated status effect for 10 seconds.

Venomous Concoction: Inflicts Exhausted status for 5 seconds (was 90 seconds).
Iridescent Head: Prevents carrying more than one Hatchet.
More Live Design
Apart from the killer updates, the most significant live design change in this update is the change to Survivor’s hook struggle inputs. One of the motivating factors behind this update is to reduce the number of inputs per second in order to make the game more accessible to those suffering from RSI. After the release of this mechanic for The Executioner’s Cages and its positive reception by the community, we felt confident of making this change more broadly for all Sacrifice struggles.
The new Object of Obsession design previewed on the dev stream has been completed with a few tweaks. We hope solo Survivors will enjoy Small Game’s new Totem-counting function, and Borrowed Time no longer triggers based on Terror Radius… it just works.
New hook struggle
Struggling during the second stage on a hook is now a series ofSkill Checks
Failing to give any input for two successive Skill Checks will instantly complete the Sacrifice
Missing a skill check will reduce the amount of time until the Entity claims the hooked Survivor
Perks
Small Game: Gain tokens for each Totem any Survivor cleanses; tokens reduce cone width to increase accuracy; no longer triggers for the Totem you are currently cleansing.
Lucky Break: Now hides scratch marks as well; duration reduced to 35/40/45 seconds.
Soul Guard: Now has a 30 second cooldown between activations.
Open-Handed: Increases aura reading range by 8/12/16 meters; Survivors may only be affected by one instance of Open-Handed.
Zanshin Tactics: Now always active and range increased to 24/28/32 meters.
Borrowed Time: No longer requires being in the Terror Radius to trigger; duration of Enduring status reduced to 8/10/12 seconds.
Object of Obsession: This perk has been redesigned.
Whenever your aura is revealed to the Killer, the Killer’s aura becomes visible to you and you gain a 2/4/6% bonus to healing, repairing and cleansing speed.
If you are the Obsession, your aura is revealed to the killer for 3 seconds once every 30 seconds.
Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

Developer Illfonic has released the Friday The 13: The Game update 1.40 May 4 patch, and is also the last patch planned by the devs for the game! Check out the long list of changes in the patch notes below.
Friday The 13: The Game Update 1.40 May 4 Patch Notes:
All Platforms:
The following fixes and changes will be deployed on the PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch platforms. The patch is set to roll out onto platforms on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021 at roughly 10AM Eastern US Time.
Combat Stance
The team set out to test and tune various aspects of how Combat Stance, and rapid input related to Combat Stance, affected game play across a variety of different connection strengths. While latency will always play a part in comparing the differences a connected player will see to what the host or other players may see, we are confident we’ve tested these changes across a wide range of connection qualities.
Further tuned and tested Combat Stance behavior and the unintended “Sliding” action counselor players could create.
Fixed an issue introduced in our last patch allowing Jason to move at running speed while in Combat Stance.
Counselor
Giant Weapons: The team has fixed an issue allowing players to manipulate the size of weapons in game.
Trap Bypass: Fixed an issue that allowed players to bypass traps by initiating an interaction.
Safe Spots: Fixed various areas of the map where counselors could avoid being killed by Jason.
Interaction Locks: Fixed various Interaction Locks that would occur when a counselor would interact with the environment and become stuck.
Switch Only:
The following fixes and changes have already been deployed on the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. With this patch, we’ll be bringing these changes in addition to those mentioned previously in these notes, to the Switch platform in order to align it with our other existing platforms.
Combat Stance
Commonly referred to as Sliding or Teleporting, the team has fixed an issue allowing players to manipulate combat stance changes.
Players may still see, when in spectator mode, counselors attempting to perform the exploit, however this is a visual artifact.
Pocket Knife Issues
Instant break free by using health spray or firecrackers when grabbed, resulting in not only an instant break free but also retention of the player’s pocket knife, has been fixed.
Loss of pocket knives in circumstances when firecrackers are used has also been fixed.
Jason – Gameplay
Ability Unlock/Recharge Rate toggle in private matches has been fixed to include both parameters.
Lobby icon irregularities resulting in an inaccurate lobby icon have been fixed.
Abduction, when Jason is able to Morph while holding a counselor, has been fixed.
Mask HP loopholes where use of a flare gun or firecrackers could get the mask to come off too quickly have been fixed.
Jason Kill Sequence – Kneel: The issue where the kneeling animation during the Jason Kill process could be repeated has been fixed.
Counselor – Gameplay
Hiding Under Bed: An issue where players could hide under beds and become stuck in a way where Jason could not kill them has been fixed. While it is still possible in some instances to cause the bug, the counselor will be able to be killed by Jason in that state.
Lobby icon irregularities resulting in an inaccurate lobby icon have been fixed.
Numerous safe spots around the maps have been fixed, including the Pinehurst Roof method by way of Tommy’s bed.
Players will now see an error if they roll and sell perks too quickly, but the game will stay functional and no longer lock up. Players can then continue to roll and sell perks, being cautious of not overloading the roll system.
An issue causing the Counselor clothing options to not save properly when altering color/items has been resolved. Feel free to go back to playing Pink Cop Kenny.
Tommy Jarvis voice lines have been restored, and this is between him and Jason.
General
Various Interaction Locks have been fixed, particularly those that occurred when players would input either multiple button presses or rapid button presses in short succession, rapid pick up and put down of items, and multiple inputs appearing with on screen prompts.
Fuse Box and Fuse spawn for the Cop call has been extended to ensure the fuse does not spawn inside the house with the fuse repair box.
With this patch, matchmaking will shift away from Dedicated Servers and onto Peer to Peer Matchmaking for all matches on the Switch as well.
The game will still be playable online publicly with the Quick Play option and privately with the Private Match option.
For more on this change, as well as the status of the game going forward, please follow up with our statement here.
That’s about it for the game. Those still playing it, give Jason some love before the servers are carved out too.

Developer comment: With TU4.0 we’re making changes for Online XP gain and Influence rewards by increasing the number of daily and weekly challenges available to players while reducing earnable XP from repeatable activities. Players have been great at optimizing the strategies for these activities and they were becoming slightly too rewarding and felt like the only valuable way to gain XP but also became quite a repetitive chore for some players. We hope that the increase of challenges, players will now have 30 different Daily challenges, and slight reduction in XP for repeatable activities will give players a more balanced way to rank up with better variety in their gameplay. Additionally, we wanted players to have a more reliable source of Influence outside of the rank track, to reduce the downtime between gaining Influence and therefore new Operatives. This will be particularly impactful for players at max rank.
Overall, everybody will have access to more daily and weekly challenges which means most players will see a slight increase in XP gain, while those that previously rushed through assignments or co-op missions will see a decrease in XP gain if they were to continue that playstyle. Influence gain should now feel better once you reached max rank when comparing it to before the update.
We’re excited to hear your feedback about these changes once you have tried them out!

That’s one big update! Don’t forget, more content is planned to roll out later this month too.
With last week’s Fortnite v16.30 title update rollout, it seems that it also brought in a few issues with it as well. Today, Epic Games has rolled out the Fortnite update 3.15 May 4 patch, which is to fix an issue with the Style of the Tsuki Outfit and more. Head on below for the patch notes.
We’ve released a maintenance patch on all platforms to address cosmetic issues, stability, and an issue that could sometimes prevent players from picking up Raz’s Explosive Bow.
We’re aware that with the v16.30 update, an unfinished new Style for the Tsuki Outfit was released. We’re working on a fix and will update everyone when the fix is out.
As part of today’s maintenance patch, the unfinished Style of the Tsuki Outfit has been removed. The completed Style will arrive in a future update.
That seems to be it. If there are more changes in this patch that’s not listed above, let us know what you find down in the comments, and we’ll update the post and credit you if it pans out.
Following last week’s comprehensive game update for MLB The Show 21, SIE San Diego Studio has released the MLB The Show 21 update 1.04 (Xbox 1.37) May 4 patch, which includes a small list of fixes. You can check out the full patch notes below. This title update is also called Game Update 4 by the studio (just an added FYI).
MLB The Show 21 Update 1.04 (Xbox 1.37) May 4 Patch Notes:

Double XP is still turned on.
We will continue to monitor performance and work to improve stability as we move forward.
Thank you for playing MLB The Show!
That’s about it. Once we know of the next patch, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
As expected, given we got the King of Uruk update two weeks ago, the SMITE update 11.75 May 4 patch is out today, and this is for Bonus Update 8.4! You can check out the gameplay-related changes below in the patch notes.
SMITE Update 11.75 May 4 Patch Notes (Bonus Update 8.4):
Items
SPEAR OF DESOLATION
Mage itemization has been a large topic of discussion and we are buffing a set of less often used items in the main update. However, we had to take a look at one of the most popular and potent mage items: Spear of Desolation. The new feature that speeds up your Ultimate even more has been quite powerful, and can lead to a heavy snowball effect. We are tuning this down a little to even it out against other flat pen choices.
Decreased the amount of Cooldown subtracted from an Ultimate ability from 8s to 6s when this item’s passive triggers
ANCILE
In 8.1 a few hybrid items were shifted more toward power, and away from defenses. Since then, these items have become extremely powerful in both Jungle and Solo, as the stats are just too good to turn down. We are decreasing the power on both Ancile and Shifter’s Shield to level the playing field between these classes and the rest of the roster.
Decreased Physical Power from 60 to 50
Increased Cost from 2150 to 2250
SHIFTER’S SHIELD
See notes for: Ancile
Decreased Physical Power from 35 to 30
Decreased Physical Power on the Passive from 35 to 30
(UPGRADE) BUMBA’S HAMMER
The most powerful Starter Item Upgrade is seeing a heavy nerf. This item has been utilized by all sorts of classes, not just Junglers, and to great effect. The passive is what makes this item fun and interesting, and we aimed to preserve that. It’s a powerful passive so the stat nerfs need to be heavy to justify keeping it as is. The hammer is losing all of its Penetration and half of the CDR to pay that price.
Decreased Cooldown from 20% to 10%
Removed all Penetration %
Gods
GILGAMESH
The King is here, and he is… strong. Gilgamesh was nerfed in PTS and is still sporting some strong numbers. His damage numbers are still on the high end compared to other Warriors and Assassins so that created a clear place to nerf him. Sun-Forged Scimitar provides a unique type of damage scaling based on Health, which is going to come down. Also there will be a large Power Scaling nerf on his large AoE damage of his leap. Then finishing this off with a small cooldown nerf as well.
SUN-FORGED SCIMITAR
Decreased Basic Attack Damage from 3.5% to 3% of his max health per hit
HERO’S ADVANCE
Decreased Physical Power Scaling from 65% to 50%
Increased Cooldown from 15s to 16s
TIAMAT
Season 8 was defined by Tiamat and continues to be. Her stats have seen significant drops from previous nerfs, but she is continued to be highly prioritized at pro play. Tiamat continues to be surprisingly good at surviving fights even when she is building full mage. Her damage mitigation was nerfed for this reason recently, and now her self healing is being nerfed for the same reason.
DEATH BEGETS LIFE
Decrease healing of the large heal from 40 + 8 per level to (48/200) to 30 + 6 (36/150)
TSUKUYOMI
The newest moon god continues to thrash the ranked queues. As he has been adjusted his Ultimate continues to shine as an especially terrifying ability. We are making it easier to counter him, by inflicting more damage while he sets up, as well as decreasing its total damage scaling.
PIERCING MOONLIGHT
Decreased Damage Mitigation he gets while firing this from 30% to 20%
Decreased Physical Power Scaling on the Dash Damage from 50% per hit to 45% per hit
GUAN YU
This horse is amazing. The total damage that can be done by Cavalry Charge makes it one of the hardest hitting abilities in the entire game. Healing nerfs have hit him but his damage and kill potential stays high, along with his pick/ban%. Cavalry Charge is seeing a significant nerf to open up the solo lane to more gods.
CAVALRY CHARGE
Decreased Base Damage from 85/115/145/175/205 to 75/100/125/150/175 per hit
APOLLO
This god’s overall utility has continued to make him a top pick/ban in ranked play. Apollo has been surprisingly consistent even through some recent nerfs, so we are targeting a few other parts of his kit we expect people to really feel. His passive will become a bit harder to stack now, especially in the late game. The Moves will now have a weak speed shift between the slow and the buff. Finally, his Ult will now consume much more mana as he flies in the late game, as his ability to monitor objectives from the sky is bordering on ridiculous right now.
AUDACITY
Decreased the stacks gained from damaging an enemy god with an ability from 2 to 1
THE MOVES
Decreased Movement Speed Buff/Debuff: 15/17.5/20/22.5/25% to 10/12.5/15/17.5/20%
ACROSS THE SKY
Increased Mana Cost: 10 mana + 40 mana per second, to 10 mana + 40/50/60/70/80 mana per second.
ATHENA
The goddess of Wisdom is playing better than ever (and soon to be looking and sounding better too). Adding damage to Confound caused a huge reaction in her metrics, so we are toning that back slightly along the exact same lines. There has been a lot of discussion on changing more of Athena’s abilities but the design team feels that those work well together and in the spirit of her kit. So, instead of reworking other abilities we are going to keep looking at core balance functions like damage, durations, and cooldowns.
CONFOUND
Reverted the duration increase from 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2.0s to 1.0/1.25/1.5/1.75/2.0s to
Decrease Magical Damage Scaling from 30% to 20%
Decrease Base Damage from 50/80/110/140/170 to 40/70/100/130/160
ANHUR
This god is often thought of as the perfect test of skill. Anhur has become the absolute number one most played god in Ranked Conquest, and with win% stats that are higher than usual for him. Anhur was also prioritized at the SPL level, and it seems clear that a few damage nerfs would bring him down to the level of other hunters.
IMPALE
Decreased Physical Power Scaling from 80% to 75%
DESERT FURY
70/95/120/145/170 to 65/90/115/140/165 per hit
SET
He refuses to give up the throne. Set is still the most banned god in ranked, often because of his ability to hard carry more than any other Assassin. We are decreasing his main damage output source, as well as making him easier to counter from other physical gods. This should help him be less of a force to be reckoned with.
SKEWER
Decreased damage from 85/130/175/220/265 to 75/120/165/210/255.
SANDSTORM
Decreased Physical Damage Reduction from 15% to 10%
SOBEK
The croc is consistently a solid pick. Solo, Support, or non-Conquest he brings a ton of value to his team in positioning, CC, damage, and tankiness. Sobek’s charge prey (often called his “pluck) is his signature ability, allowing him to put enemy gods drastically out of position. We are slowing down this cooldown slightly to take him down a notch.
CHARGE PREY
Increased Cooldown from 13s to 14s
For the god skins, you can check them out right here.
Running into random issues where you can’t open any doors or interact with any objects in Returnal? Well don’t worry as you are not alone, and the issue seems to be tied to those who own the pre-order suits. Here’s how you can avoid this nasty Returnal door bug.
For those not in the know, there appears to be a game progression breaking bug in Returnal that is associated when players where the pre-order suits. Housemarque has acknowledge this issues, along with a number of other known bugs, though at the time of writing there isn’t any fix available.
How to Avoid the Returnal Door Bug
As of right now, it seems that the best things that players can do to avoid this bug is simply by not changing suits, and sticking with the default one. For whatever reason these pre-order suits are causing issues where players can no longer open doors or interact with things on the map, halting any progress and causing players to restart.
While it is random, for us we noticed it would occur every time we skipped a cutscene. We did notice that once we stopped that the issue didn’t happen as much, though some random crashes were more common in our playthrough with the suits than without it. If you have already changed suits and happened to forget how to change back, there’s a guide you can follow below.
What are the pre-orders suits in Returnal?
For those who pre-ordered Returnal digitally, the following two suits were included as bonuses.
ASTRA Model 9 Prototype Suit
ASTRA Model 14 Tactical Suit
What if you didn’t pre-order, can you still unlock these suits in-game?
Sadly no, and according to Housemarque (via Discord) there are no plans to make them available after launch.
I have confirmation that the pre-order suits will NOT be available after launch. Also the codes are NOT in the physical copies, so to get the pre-order suits, you will HAVE to buy the game at pre-order. Sorry if this is disappointing to you. – Housemarque Tuomas Hakkarainen, aka Singens.
How do you Change Suits in Returnal?
The process of changing suits in Returnal is pretty easy. At the start of each new run, you will find yourself either inside or outside of a space ship called Helios. If you are outside, there is a whole in the middle of the ship that you can enter.
Once inside, you will then see a computer console, and to the right of this some locker storages. Interact with these lockers and you will be able to select which suit you want.

Given how big Epic Games’ warchest is, don’t expect the flood of free games to stop even if it’s costing the company a pretty penny.
Surprised by the amount Epic paid for the free games or was it just enough?
Respawn Entertainment has launched Season 9 “Legacy” for Apex Legends which brings a new legend and more! The Apex Legends update 1.67 May 4 Season 9 patch notes can be seen below.
Apex Legends Update 1.67 May 4 Season 9 Patch Notes:
NEW FOR APEX LEGENDS: LEGACY
ARENAS
The Games are going underground with the introduction of a new permanent mode: Arenas. Fully reassembled and unimpressed with the glitz and glamor of the Apex Games, former Apex Predator Ash is taking the competition back to its roots. A purer form of combat.
The rules are simple: 3-versus-3. Eliminate your enemies to win the round. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. You win, or you die.
Arenas features a new set of custom maps, tailor-made for close-quarters combat (with more to come in the future). Squads start each round in a spawn room, where they can get weapons, gear, and abilities, and adjust their loadout as their strategy changes. The first team to win three rounds with at least a two-point lead will be crowned the victor—unless they battle to a four-four tie. Then they’ll have the honor of participating in Ash’s favorite part of the game: Sudden Death.
For more on Arenas, check out the blog for a full deep dive into the new mode.
PARTY CRASHER
Short version, Mirage took the voyage on a joyride and it didn’t go as planned.
Party Crasher is one of two exciting custom arenas where you’ll be able to show off your skills. This arena takes place in a ritzy, downtown plaza where players can choose to engage on the crashed Mirage Voyage, or the opulent two story buildings that make up the downtown. Stay vigilante, as this map hosts a variety of engagement distances—both close quarters and long distance.
PHASE RUNNER
The Phase Runner on Olympus is unique, but it wasn’t the first of its kind.
Phase Runner is the second of our custom arenas, and our largest. You’ll fight in a hidden, experimental zone at the peak of a mountain where a prototype phase runner lays for use. This map gives you a lot of space to maneuver, so be sure to be on the lookout for those who prefer to be patient and take you out from afar. Sound tactics and clear communication are what you’ll need to come out on top as you fight through the construction site or near the phase runner exit.
In addition to the two new maps, other areas from our three BR maps will be thrown into a bi-weekly rotation, giving you five maps total for Arenas. At the start you’ll get Artillery from Kings Canyon, Thermal Station from World’s Edge, and Golden Gardens from Olympus.
VALKYRIE
Kairi Imahara, the daughter of Apex Predator Viper, salvaged the remains of her father’s Northstar Titan years after his death. With Rampart’s help, she fashioned it into a sleek new jetpack that honors her family’s legacy. Now, she’s entered the Games under the name VALKYRIE.
Passive: VTOL Jets
Use your jetpack to reposition or reach high places. You have limited fuel and cannot use weapons while flying.
Tactical: Missile Swarm
Fire a swarm of mini-rockets which damage and disorient the enemy.
Ultimate: Skyward dive
Take to the skies to reposition a long distance across the map. Your squadmates can join in.
Class: Recon
Scanning Survey Beacons reveals the next circle’s location.
BOCEK
The new Bocek (pronounced bow-check) compound bow is a precision marksman weapon that rewards a skilled and confident hand. Holding down fire will draw the bow over a short time, increasing the power of the shot, with maximum power giving optimal damage and projectile speed. Repeatedly firing the Bocek right as it reaches max power provides the best sustained damage.
The Bocek uses a new ammo type, Arrows, which are unique to this weapon. Arrows are more rare on the battlefield, but fired arrows will stick into surfaces and remain in the world for players to pick back up and reuse. The 1x hcog classic, 1x holosight, 2x hcog, 1x-2x variable, and 3x hcog optics can all be equipped. The Bocek can also be further modified with the two new hop-ups entering the game, Shatter Caps and Deadeye’s Tempo; it can even equip both hop-ups simultaneously!
OLYMPUS – THE LOST FLEET UPDATE
A fleet of mysterious ships have made their way to Olympus and brought with them an otherworldly, parasitic plant that has begun to take root along the surface. The lead ship, The Icarus, has docked with the city and changed the landscape for good. Fight through the claustrophobic halls of the ghost ship, search corpses for a mysterious key card, and walk away as the last squad standing.
To allow everyone to see the latest map update, Olympus will be the only map in rotation for the first week of the new season.
STARTER KIT AND LOOT CHANGES
Players will now start a match with a “Starter Kit” consisting of a Level 1 EVO Shield, Helmet, and Knockdown Shield, plus two Shield Cells and Syringes each.
We’ve removed Level 1 Helmets and Knockdown Shields from the loot pool.
Spawn chances for Level 1 EVO Shields in the loot pool have been significantly reduced.
Along with the lowered or removed spawn chances for these items, we’ve rebalanced the loot pool such that higher-level versions of these items will appear nearly the same as they do now, but other item types will appear more often (weapons, ordinance, health, ammo, etc.)
Dev noteWe’ve wanted to take a crack at improving the loot game for a while, with our design goals being to make picking up loot feel more impactful to the game, and to thin out our loot a bit in general, since we’re always adding new items to the pool. The recent Locked & Loaded takeover mode helped us field-test some of the changes we’re looking to make moving forward: certain pieces of loot, and low-tier loot types specifically, are being put on notice.
We’re removing Level 1 Helmets and Knockdown Shields from the ground loot because these seemed like the least exciting, least meaningful equipment pickups we had. Their power is practically invisible, so they don’t really feel like a character improvement in the way that things like, say, a Backpack feels (getting those extra slots feels SO chunky!).
We’re keeping Level 1 EVO Shields in the loot pool (albeit at a lower spawn chance) in addition to adding them to your starter kit because having them sprinkled around is still important for “shield-swapping” shenanigans.
Finally, granting these pieces of gear from the start of the game is also intended to improve the “hot drop” situation: having more health, some headshot damage reduction, and a little knockdown protection can help give players some more time to react to a chaotic hot drop than before.
Be on the lookout for more loot changes in the future! This will be an ongoing project.
EMOTES
Introducing Emotes! Every Legend will have one emote unlocked at launch and additional emotes can be obtained through Apex packs or by crafting them. Equip your emotes to the emote wheel and flex away! It’s great fun to show off to your squadmates in the starting room of Arenas, and of course you have to use them on the Winner’s podium.
Now, since emotes kick your camera back to a third-person view, we know some folks are already thinking about corner peeking. Competitive integrity is still paramount, so enemies that your character couldn’t see in first-person view will not be shown while you are in third person.
This video shows the “Anti-Peek” feature working on the purple Dummie behind the rock. Without it, Pathfinder would be able to use the 3rd person camera to gain knowledge that he shouldn’t have. All emotes have Anti-Peek enabled and there is no way to disable it.
Unlock the premium Legacy Battle Pass and level it up to unlock new skins like Rampart’s Crafty Kitsune at Premium Level 25 and Wraith’s Demon’s Whisper at Premium Level 50.
LEGEND UPDATES
LOW PROFILE CHARACTERS
Low profile no longer exists! This trait has been removed from Wraith, Lifeline, and Wattson.
Dev Note
After our successful experiment with Wraith’s hitboxes, we are now confident that we can solve balance issues between smaller and larger Legends through changes to their kits and hitboxes. It is finally time for Low Profile to go the way of the dodo. (Sorry dodos.)
LIFELINE
Combat Revive: No longer deploys a shield. Can now revive two players at the same time. Can now cancel active revives in progress to allow your teammate to defend themselves with their knockdown shield.
D.O.C. Heal Drone: Heal rate increased from 5hp per second to 8hp per second. Deployment time before healing begins reduced by roughly 33%.
Care Package: Cooldown reduced from 6 minutes to 5 minutes. Now guarantees an upgrade (if possible) in three categories: Body Shield, Other Equipment (Helmet, Backpack, and Knockdown Shield), and Weapon Attachment, based on your team’s current gear when the Package arrives.
Dev Note
Lifeline’s kit was not in a particularly healthy place. The Passive shield was extremely strong to the point of frustration, while her Tactical and Ultimate seemed like they were becoming more and more obsolete. These changes are aimed to redistribute this big power differential between all of her abilities, making D.O.C. and Care Package more powerful and effective, while tamping down on the highly binary and situational Combat Revive.
OCTANE
Stim: Reduced cooldown between stims from 4s to 1s. Increased health cost from 12hp to 20hp.
Increased bullet spread while in the air and shooting from the low Launch Pad trajectory.
Dev Note
Octane continues to perform really well after the latest changes. Too well? We still love the frequency of the Jump Pad, but we’d like to make using Stim something Octane thinks about doing at the right time, instead of always slamming it by default.
LOBA
Burglar’s Best Friend: Can now run and slide at full speed while aiming the bracelet and while the bracelet is in the air. Loba will no longer be slowed after translocating.
Fixed a lot of bugs that caused bracelet tosses to fail.
Black Market Boutique: Increased cooldown from 90s to 120s.
HORIZON
Gravity Lift: Reduced lift speed by 30%. Reduced side-to-side acceleration. Limited the time you can sit at the top of Gravity Lift to 2 seconds. Increased cooldown from 15s to 20s.
Horizon’s abilities will now get zapped by Wattson pylons.
Dev Note
Horizon is powerful and popular, but that’s not why we’re making these changes. We believe that mistakes in Apex Legends should be punishable, and when Horizon could just get herself out of bad positioning while popping a whole battery, this just wasn’t true. These changes have two goals: 1) make it much more possible for enemies to shoot Horizon as she sits in her gravity lift and 2) make gravity lift less of an impromptu sniper tower.
FUSE
Knuckle Cluster: Fuse now has two stacks of Knuckle Cluster. Reduced cooldown from 25s to 20s.
Dev Note
More help is coming, but we want to be very careful how we buff him so that he doesn’t just become the Legend that kills you with his abilities.
BANGALORE
Smoke Launcher: Thickened Bangalore’s smoke.
Dev Note
Last patch we optimized Bangalore’s smoke particles and inadvertently thinned them out. This aims to get her back to the original visuals while keeping the optimizations.
BLOODHOUND
No longer receives assists from Eye of the Allfather.
Dev Note
Bloodhound’s scan is strong, but the goal of this change in particular is to reconsider assists and their implications for Ranked Points. There’s enough intrinsic value in sonar scans, and it’s a slippery slope to consider crediting assists for other non-damaging abilities. Crypto will remain an exception. The active nature of Crypto’s drone scan is notably different from the passive option with Bloodhound. This should encourage Bloodhound players to act on the information they get from the scan, to eliminate instances where they might try to snag a quick assist without committing to a fight in the same way Crypto has to.
CRYPTO
Crypto’s drone can now scan and open care packages.
Can no longer use his drone to “hijack” a respawn beacon that’s already in use.
WEAPONS UPDATES
MARKSMAN WEAPON CATEGORY
The G7 Scout and the 30-30 are currently in the Assault Rifle weapons category, but they are a bit strange in that category due to their firing style and some of their handling values. Similarly, the Triple Take felt a little out of place in the Sniper category.
With the introduction of the Bocek bow, we felt it was a good time to introduce a new weapons category, Marksman Weapons, which will include the G7, 30-30, Triple Take, and Bocek. Weapons in this category are precision weapons that are most effective up to medium-long range, and are the sort of in-betweens of Assault Rifles and Snipers. This allows us to begin moving the settings of these weapons towards more consistent value for the class, and make the settings of ARs and Snipers more consistent with less outliers.
For starters, we are increasing the movement speed while aiming down sights for marksman weapons; They were at sniper speeds, and will now be between sniper and AR speeds. Additionally, we have done some targeted normalization of hipfire spread amounts.
SUPPLY DROP ROTATION
This season, we’re taking the Peacekeeper out of the supply drop and putting the Triple Take in its place. Of course, with any supply drop change, these weapons will have their stats updated. See how each weapon changes down below.
Crate Weapon Drop Rates:Since we are exchanging a shotgun with a marksman weapon, now was a good time to rebalance the drop rates of crate weapons. The Kraber will spawn less often in the early game and more often in the mid game to better accommodate its power. The Triple Take will be the most common early game crate weapon, with the Prowler being the most prominent late game crate weapon.
FULLY KITTED ROTATION
Added: Wingman, Bocek, R99, Hemlock, and Sentinel
Removed: R301, 30-30 Repeater, Mozambique, Longbow DMR, and Spitfire
HOP UPS
Shatter Caps – Fire select to toggle between standard mode and shatter mode. In shatter mode, rounds split into a blast pattern on firing. This hop up will be equipable to the 30-30 Repeater and the Bocek.
Deadeye’s Tempo – Firing at the perfect moment increases fire rate. This can currently be attached to the Sentinel and the Bocek.
To make room, the Hammerpoint and Skullpiercer hop ups are being vaulted for now, and won’t be available.
ASSAULT RIFLES
Reducing the headshot multiplier for all assault rifles from 2.0 to 1.75
Dev Note
This was already the case for the Hemlok, so the affected guns are the R301, Flatline, and Havoc.
PEACEKEEPER
It comes with the Precision Choke by default, which can be toggled off
Pellet damage reduced from 10 to 9
Rechamber time increased from 0.9 seconds to 1.1 seconds
Reload times increased (regular from 2.45 to 2.5, empty from 3.35 to 3.5)
Pellet spread increased in general, and spread when charged increased for all charge levels (from 0.65/0.45/0.2 to 0.85/0.65/0.35)
Quickly loses charge after leaving ADS
Dev Note
Since the Peacekeeper is coming out of the crate, we are bringing many of the stats back in line with their previous values. We are also reducing its damage potential and bringing in the effective range a bit since the Precision Choke is always available now.
TRIPLE TAKE
As a crate weapon, it will come with a 9 ammo clip and 63 reserve ammo
Fire rate increased from 1.2 to 1.3
Time to full charge reduced from 1.1 seconds to 1 second
Retains charge briefly after leaving ADS
Move-speed while aiming down sights has been increased to match other marksman weapons — faster than snipers, slower than ARs
Increased spread while airborne and aiming down sights
HAVOC
Increased recoil controllability early in the pattern
Dev Note
This should help make up for the reduced headshot multiplier and make it a bit more usable in mid-range fights.
SPITFIRE
Reduced recoil controllability early in the pattern
Dev NoteThe Spitfire is too strong at the moment, boasting good damage output with low recoil. Making it a bit harder to control early in the pattern should give more time for opponents to fight against it. That said, we’re prepared to make more changes to the Spitfire if it remains too powerful.
30-30 REPEATER
Increased leg damage multiplier from 0.75 to 0.85
Move-speed while aiming down sights has been increased to match other marksman weapons — faster than snipers, slower than ARs
Dev Note
The 30-30 could use some love, so we’re bringing up the amount of leg damage it does. This should make it a bit more consistent without raising its high “best case” damage potential.
G7 SCOUT
Move-speed while aiming down sights has been increased to match other marksman weapons — faster than snipers, slower than ARs
Increased hipfire spread size (reduced accuracy) to be more in line with other marksman weapons
Dev Note
The 30-30 Repeater and the Bocek Compound Bow have more accurate hipfire than the baseline marksman weapon values, so the G7 Scout will be less accurate in hipfire than these other weapons.
LONGBOW
Increased headshot multiplier from 2.0 to 2.15
WINGMAN
Increased headshot multiplier from 2.0 to 2.15
Dev Note
As we’ve done before when the Skullpiercer is out of the loot pool, we’re giving the Longbow and Wingman a compensatory buff.
MOZAMBIQUE
Increased magazine capacity from 4 to 6
Moved the lower 2 pellets inward in the blast pattern
Dev Note
This brings up the baseline power level so “only” finding a Mozambique early in the match gives you more of a fighting chance, and makes up for the removal of Hammerpoints.
P2020
Increased bullet damage from 15 to 18
Lowered fire rate from 8.5 to 6.25
Dev Note
Similar to the Mozambique, we want to bring up the P2020’s baseline power level a bit. Most players couldn’t take advantage of the fast fire rate, so bringing that down while increasing the damage should help players win more early fights with the P2020.
ARC STARS
Aim and movement slow removed from the initial stick.
Dev Note
Sticking someone should feel rewarding, considering it’s a rare occurrence that’s difficult to pull off. While an argument can be made that getting stuck should be a personal death sentence, the inability to at least relocate and spare teammates from the follow-up explosion makes it hard to counter against a coordinated team. This change should help mitigate that without stripping away the satisfaction of hitting a nice stick.
QUALITY OF LIFE
Badges are now sorted by categories and can be filtered by “all” or “unlocked only”. This suggestion came directly from players. Thank you! It’s so much better!
When looting death boxes, players can now see health bars for everyone on the team.
Challenges can now be “favorited” by going into the challenges menu and right clicking a challenge. That Challenge will then be added to a new favorites tab that will appear in the lobby and in the match’s map screen.
Pressing and Holding F2 while in-game will bring up the ability description page for your character. This is only available on PC.
Players can now request better equipment by going into their inventory and pinging a piece of equipment.
Your first Challenge Reroll of the day is now free.
Rerolling your challenges will allow you to choose from either BR-focused challenges or Arenas-focused ones.
Holo Sprays, Quips, and Emotes, can be favorited. These will be used whenever the player is prompted to do a random emote.
Club Invites v2: You can now include what you want to play when you send your clubmates a party invite via the Club tab. Select as many club mates as you want to send the invite to at once via the member list.
Ranked: Fixed edge cases where an abandon penalty would be incorrectly applied due to server errors.
Flight path adjustments: Removing edge dropship flight paths to prevent matches where large portions of the map receive little to no traffic. These screenshots show a before/after comparison of possible flight paths on Kings Canyon.
RING UPDATE
We’re continuing work from the Fight Night update to improve match pacing towards the end of the game. We’re slowing down the closing speed of the late game Rings to allow you more time to fight and maneuver your way into the Ring. We’re also reducing the “waiting” time before Rings 4 and 6 start to close.
Ring 4 pre-shrink time reduced from 2:00 to 1:45
Ring 4 shrink speed reduced from 33 second close time to 40 seconds
Ring 5 shrink speed reduced from 20 second close time to 40 seconds
Ring 6 pre-shrink time reduced from 1:30 to 1:00
Ring 6 shrink speed reduced from 1:40 close time to 2:00

In a surprising announcement by Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation and Discord has now entered into a partnership with their respective teams already in discussion as to how the platforms will be integrated.
With Discord at Series H of funding, President & Ceo of Sony, Jim Ryan revealed the “minor investment” to further find a collaborative ground towards the gaming and the platform’s reputation as a communication service, especially after speaking to its founders, Jason Citron and Stan Vishnevskiy.
From our very first conversation with co-founders Jason Citron and Stan Vishnevskiy, I was inspired by their lifelong love for gaming and our teams’ shared passion to help bring friends and communities together in new ways. Empowering players to create communities and enjoy shared gaming experiences is at the heart of what we do, so we are beyond excited to start this journey with one of the world’s most popular communication services.
Last month, it was Microsoft that was in talks with Discord over a billion-dollar acquisition.
It will be early next year until we see the changes Discord and PlayStation will have in store.

In the world of Apocalypse, humanity’s dependence on nuclear energy ultimately led to the fall of civilization and the emergence of two clans, The Keepers and The Warband. These warriors and scavengers seek the last plant on Earth, which holds the power to re-grow life on Earth.
The new game mode, Canister, will have players fight as The Keepers (Defenders) or The Warband (Attackers) for the last remaining plant on Earth. Defenders can move the canister containing the plant around the map, while the Attackers can activate specific scanner rooms to detect defenders as they roam through the rooms . The main objective of the Attacking side is to defuse the canister transporting the plant. On the Defending side, Operators must protect the canister until time runs out to win. Last but not least option to secure the win is to get rid of the opposing team entirely. Who will hold the key to humanity’s new future?
The Apocalypse event comes with its own Collection of 35 items featuring Fuze, Gridlock, Maverick, Nomad, Twitch, Maestro, Melusi, Rook, Smoke and Valkyrie. Originally released back in 2019, Judgment is an action-RPG, which acts as a spin-off the renowned Yakuza franchise. The big question here is: does this remaster release of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studi’s action-RPG do it justice? Find out in our PS5 review of Judgement!
The Drama Police
If you’ve been around the Yakuza Series since the very beginning, then you’ll probably know exactly what your getting yourself into with Judgement. Studio Ryū Ga Gotoku, the main devs of Yakuza headlines Judgement, and that means you should expect a deep story, filled with insane amount of emotional turning twists.
After a shocking wave of serial murders hitting Kamurocho, detective, slash lawyer Takayuki Yagami seeks out to unfold the truth behind the killings. Like many Yakuza games before it, Yagami journey to discover the truth takes him through a string of conspiracies, that eventually lands him on the top of the hit list of the unknown crime organization that seeks to bury everything.
As with all my reviews, I don’t like spoiling much of the story, even for an old game, it should still be experienced fresh and unspoiled by all. Still, to say the least this is certainly one tale that lives up to par to other past Yakuza games, as it’s filled with over-the-top drama the runs deep with head-turning twists. It definitely feels like a more grounded, serious take than the traditional Yakuza game where often characters are abundantly outlandish in their personalities, but Judgement still hits high, especially with the main cast and in world NPC interactions.
Notably, the Japanese’s cast performance excels as it always has in past Yakuza games, though the offering of an English dub is a much welcome one, even if lip-syncing is off. There’s really little to complain about when it comes to how lively all the characters feel in Judgement, as you’ll find if there’s an emotion a scenes wants to portray, the characters will go all out to ensure it does.
Then there’s Kamurocho itself; a fictional district in Tokyo Japan that’s modeled after real-life districts. This has been the central location for the Yakuza series since the very first, and with every passing iteration it just seems to get bigger and better, and Judgement is no exception. The city feels lively with it’s condensed population of NPCs, and in that sea there are countless that need your aid.
Side quests come plentiful, and despite Judgment taking itself more serious than Yakuza, expect to see a lot of those quests pulling at your heart strings or making you laugh at ridiculous, unrealistic moments. The writing humor of team Ryū Ga Gotoku blooms well in these optional quests, with many missions having recognizable characters that parody other franchises. Let’s just say that exploring Kamurocho to it’s full extent pays. Of course the story and world exploration are just some of few highlights of Judgement, so what of the gameplay itself? Well, it’s very good.
Continuing the Yakuza Bloodlines
If you were one of the many people turned away from the new turned-based direction that Like A Dragon took for the Yakuza series, well you may find salvation in the series’ spin-off, Judgement.
While Judgement released almost two years before Yakuza Like A Dragon, in some ways its a continuation of the mainline series. Not in the story sense, but instead it’s gameplay as it seeks to preserve (or evolve?) the franchise’s classic beat-’em-up playstyle as the mainline goes into a new frontier of being turned-based — and frankly, I love that.
Taking big cues from past Yakuza games, Judgement will fit right in with players familiar with the franchise. It’s fast paced, combined with an expansive upgrade system that’ll unlock stylish combos to beat down your enemies.
At its heart, it is a button masher but one that is all so satisfying. Pummeling a thug on the streets of Kamurocho never gets old, and with the more dumbed down upgrade system in place things remain fun and new for the 30 plus hours we played. No longer do we need to collect 3-4 different types of currency as everything runs off a single one, making it a far more streamlined experience.
Speaking of being more streamlined, one of the biggest changes with the combat is how the character now reacts to the surroundings. Rather than be limited to a single plane on the battlefield, you can now vault over objects and even jump off walls for quick evasions or high damaging attack’s. Long gone are the days of being backed into a corner and bummed rushed by a group of enemies as Judgement takes advantage of the protagonist aerobatics abilities.
It feels familiar, yet fresh all at the same time.
Seeing that the story revolves around a detective/lawyer character, it would be a huge miss if the game didn’t feature any mechanics around the theme. Thankfully, it does. Certain quests will have you flying around the city using a drone as you tail characters, or scope out the area for clues and threats. In other missions you’ll see yourself playing the detective role as you stalk and collect evidence, say against a cheating husband or other hired activities. There’s plenty of other detective geared gameplay, though disappointingly there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of decision deduction found in the central plot. Perhaps a missed opportunity if we say so, though hopefully one they consider in a sequel.
Born for Next-Gen
I originally played Judgment on the PS4 when it released, and honestly had little to no complaints back then about the visuals or performance. However, seeing that this new version now takes advantage of next-gen features, it’s easy to spot why this upgrade is well worth experiencing over.
Character textures have been improved with the now crisp 4K resolution bump, bringing the quality up to promotional bull shots that have been used in the past. The lighting itself is also miles better than in the original release, with character looking far more natural and realistic, and coloring is a heck of a lot more vibrant.
The biggest change however has to come in with the performance. No longer shackled by the cap 30fps (frames-per-second), Judgement is now playable in an ultra smooth 60fps experience. It’s a big difference, at least for me as all the animations now look buttery smooth with no hitches from drops whatsoever. Once you play it in 60fps there is almost no going back as the differences are very noticeable. And of course there’s also the super fast SSD of the PS5 that offers quick load times, with Judgment cutting off nearly 30 seconds. It’s super fast, which should be unsurprising considering all the other PS5 games on the market, but it will continue to blow my mind after spending the last 20 years suffering through load screens.
Sure I’ll admit these changes might not be enough to sway someone who owns the game to buy it again since there’s no free upgrade, but it’s definitely well worth it for newcomers, especially those looking to hit that Yakuza itch.
In Ruling Favor
Judgment was already an amazing game when it first released, and this remaster for the PS5 certainly cements that further. While it might not convince existing last-gen owners with it’s $60 price tag, it is certainly an experience well worth taking. Gameplay is fast and addictively fun, and the enhancements brought with the next-gen version makes it the definite way to play. It certainly is a must play, especially for those feeling alienated by the turned-based combat of the recent Yakuza game. Assuming a sequel gets made (and it’s likely,) Judgement is most likely here to stay as a new long standing franchise for SEGA, one that’ll continue the bloodline of an old-time Yakuza.
Score 8.5
Pros:
Updated visuals make this one of the best looking Dragon Engine game.
Story is exciting, and rich with drama filled moments.
The improved free-range combat makes this one of the best offered by the studio.
Quality of life improvements makes this one of the more accessible games from the studio, especially with the streamlined upgrade system.
World filled with many well thought out quests.
Cons:
Lip syncing issues and some audio cut-offs for the English dub
$60 is a tough sell for existing owners, especially with no save transfer ability for PS5.

The Winner
We asked our community to vote for their favourite add-on track since the release of Project CARS 3. The choice was between Yas Marina Circuit, Bahrain International Circuit, and Lake Valley Speedway.
And that’s exactly how they lined up once we tallied up the votes—so congrats to Yas Marina Circuit.
I suspect, though, that the next free track, coming on Tuesday, may well have had a say in the final results.
The Last Run in the Dunes
We suspect some of you will have already guessed which track is coming in next week’s update, so get ready for a rollercoaster ride around an undulating circuit that has hosted everything from classic single-seater action, to modern GT races. It’s a venue we’ve wanted to add to the Project CARS franchise for a long time, and we can’t wait for you to get your hands on it.
Here’s a clue; what does Tarzan, Prince, and the Lotus 49 have in common?
And Season 7
Update 5 will also feature the complete livery set for the current season of for Formula E, all approved and licensed by each Formula E team. Get the latest liveries for each of the 24 cars and 12 teams that compete in the 2020–21 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and get racing in the world’s most-watched EV series (and fastest growing motorsport championship).
Must come to an end …
That’s about it for Project Cars 3’s latest patch! This is the last DLC for Project Cars 3, though we can (maybe) expect a title update or two to drop for gameplay and technical fixes from time to time.
If there are more detailed game changes, we’ll update the post.
