Modern Warfare New Maps Coming Tomorrow, Activision Says Community Happy With Content Plans

Tired of the Modern Warfare maps? Well, if you are, Infinity Ward will try to remedy that somewhat as the studio will launch a few Modern Warfare new maps tomorrow along with the Hardpoint game mode! This was announced over on Twitter today.

https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1192501998144253952

A new multiplayer map called Shoot House is incoming, though we don’t know if this is for 6v6 or 10v10 modes (or both), and a new map for Ground War called “Krovnik Farmland.” Fan-favorite mode Hardpoint is also making a return too. While these maps are a welcome respite from what we’re playing now, this new content will undoubtedly come via a patch, which will include some much-needed gameplay tweaks that Infinity Ward has shared will be released before the week is over.

Continuing with Modern Warfare’s content plans, during today’s Activision earnings call, the publisher said that the community response to Modern Warfare’s in-game content plans were “positive.” Hopefully, this positivity will translate to a ton of post-launch content, which we’re expecting as there are over 30 maps found in the game files.

Once the new Modern Warfare patch drops tomorrow, we’ll be sure to let our readers know ASAP.

Report: Battlefield 5 New Game Mode “Invasion” Unearthed, Will Feature Base Building & Resources

Remember when EA hinted that there will be “new ways to play” Battlefield 5? Well, it seems they weren’t kidding. Unearthed via the game files is a Battlefield 5 new game mode, but it’s not just any mode, but one where players can build bases, and more.

Called “Invasion,” this new mode will be 32v32, and will feature a Tank Factory (which will let you build tanks), an Airfield (which will give you the abiliti to huild planes), a Radar Station (that lets players spot enemies), a Barracks (will let you spawn more troops), and a Navail Resources facility (that I assume will let you use sea vehicles).

Apparently, these bases can be destroyed, which will make for an intense back and forth between the two factions. Note that this is all from datamined info (via temporyal), and as such, this could be entirely different once launched, though I suspect it will be somewhat similar given how past datamines yielded accurate leaks.

This is definitely an interesting game mode given it seems to be a mix of first-person shooter elements, with real-time strategy (RTS) mechanics like Command & Conquer. Will the playerbase embrace it though? Given we’re at the end of 2019, I suspect this will be the first big content drop for 2020. Once we know more info about this, we’ll let our readers know.

Are you excited for Invasion? Or would you rather see Rush and other game modes just become permanent fixtures?

Death Stranding Comparison – Do the Visuals Live Up to the Trailers?

We take a look at the visual progression of Death Stranding throughout the years.

We opted not to go with a full-screen side by side comparison, because often the images would desync due to their difference in appearance and animations.

E3 2016 Reveal Trailer: What’s the Difference?

First up is the original 2016 reveal trailer. Now, before we get started with some image breakdowns, we should clear this up before the floodgates of comment stating that there has been a downgrade in visuals. That original 2016 trailer was nothing more than a concept trailer of things to come. At the time, Kojima Productions had only started their idea process and got this trailer out to show people that he was indeed working on a new game, though the selection of the engine had not been decided yet with rumors suggesting that that trailer was entirely CGI using an unknown engine from Sucker Punch. We may never learn the full truth behind 2016 reveal trailer, though if it makes people happy, the scene is in the very least still in the game, although this time is running in real-time on the DECIMA Engine provided by Guerrilla Games. You can watch the comparison video below, along with a handful of selected screenshots. Note that the original E3 2016 reveal has been edited down to match the length of the actual in-game scene.

There is a clear difference between the two, although again, one is real, the other was more of a concept. I will say that the original reveal has better coloring along with better facial expressions on Norman Reedus; however, it is a remarkable attempt to recreate the reveal and still produce an end product that is pretty dam eye-opening.

The Game Award Show 2016

The 2016 award show was our first true look at the game as a game engine had been decided on and Kojima Production had finally begun full work on Death Stranding. This will probably be the biggest leap in differences as the color tonnage has been completely changed along with tweaks to the character model and environment. While I prefer the character models in the old build, there has been a significant jump to the overall environment.

Taking a look at the screenshot above you can see a number of differences between the two, two being in lighting and tonnage used. You can see on in the final build that there are far more details, especially on the dead marine life. While the color tonnage is different, the lighting actually isn’t a whole lot when you look at the background to see that the same areas are lit up. The big difference again is on the marine life in the foreground as they now have lighting over them to show them better.

Reflections are improved, especially in the BB Pod as it now appears to bounce the environment back. You can see it’s character model has been altered to give is a more fragile look. One thing that may be hard to notice is when you look at the hands of BB you can see the flattening around the fingers happen as pressure is applied against the pod. 2016 reveal lacked this effect, and it’s a nice small touch that got added later. The soldier models have also changed a bit, but nothing drastic. The smoke coming out of the background is also thicker.

The character model changes is an interesting one. They seem to have made Del Toro character, Deadman,  bigger in that first screenshot and slightly in the rest. His glasses aren’t as reflective in the new build as they were before, though the texture on his clothing is much more noticeable and gives more of a natural look versus the shine in the 2016 reveal. Again, lighting is also different with more of it in the final build. Tough to say if it’s an improvement as the tone of the scene is completely different.

Same screen as the one above, just something we thought we should highlight. The smoke effect in the newer build we feel in better as it’s denser and has more effect on it. They have clearly made some changes throughout the year, and if you pay attention to the part we circled it looks like they shrunk the size of buildings to make them appear a little farther, however they forgot to adjust the starting point of the smoke effect and in the footage, you can actually see where it’s starting as it just pops up from thin air.

The way light scatters from the BB pod in the new build is nearly gone. We aren’t sure if it’s because they made the tar/oil/water appear thicker, but it is a change. The overall lighting is darker, which makes more sense as the only light source is near the entrance and the end.

Cliff’s character design has also seen some alterations. He is now slightly slimmer around the face. There is also more reflection from the light source that he is standing under, bringing out more details around the nose area.

Overall the new build has more details added to their scenes and characters. While the lighting in some areas does look better in the 2016 build, we think the tone change plays a major role in that. We do prefer the newer look as there is more coloring. However, we can see some liking the older style more.

The Game Awards Show 2017

I didn’t think there would be much of a difference in the final retail and the 2018 trailer, despite there being almost a two-year gap between them. I was wrong, and in fact, it’s an improvement overall. Again, you can find a video along with a handful of screenshots we picked out that we thought showed the changes between the builds.

I’ll start with the first significant differences, and that’s with BB. There has been a change in the coloring and transparency of the BB Bod. Whereas in the 2017 trailer, it comes off as a clear liquid that you can almost see-through, it has now been altered to give off a more dense look with a yellow color to it. The final retail build makes it evident that it’s not just water. Looking at the pod in both screenshots above, you can see that there is now light bouncing off characters and the environment, something the 2017 build lacks. We can also view this on Sam’s protective gear, though it’s less noticeable. All the images (the 3rd mostly), you can see that the BB model also has changed, as BB now appears to be slimmer. Again more reflection and an increase in lighting in the final build.

Another thing to pay attention to during the video is that Sam’s suit also has more details, giving signs of wear and tear as it’s all scuffed up with dirt marks. That last shot with Sam laying on the ground, we can see that not only does BB pod has a reflection now, but it also has some texturized pattern on it, giving it a more grippy look.

The BB Pod on Higgs’s chest now glows in this scene. General lighting is brighter in the scene, and coloring is far more vibrant, as shown in the BB Pod and truck.

Muzzle flair is different (left retail, right 2017 trailer).

Besides Sam now being blue, the details remain. They have even added chest hair in the final release.

Different color tonnage used, but overall the same quality.

E3 2018

While the previous two listed comparisons above do show some minor improvements here and there, 2018 vs. final build is far more noticeable when it comes to these changes, from improved lighting, reflections, to even more detailed textures. As old as the other builds were, the improvements over the one from nearly a year ago is by far the most significant in the 2018 build.

One thing that I did notice near the start of the trailer is that the team changed the shown photo above. Whereas in the original (2018), the character models appear to be far more “realistic” in the sense that it looks more like a concept drawing, the newest one seems to be in the least using the actual in-game models. It’s an odd change, but perhaps it was done to maintain some visual consistency.

In this shot, we can see that reflections have been added to help better portray that Sam is in a cool, dark, wet cave as it bounces from the respective light source. Not only that, but it also helps by bringing out more details in Sam’s skin. You can now easily make out the pores and wrinkles.

Same as the last image, better lighting/reflections that bring out more details.

The images above really show the changes to textures, as the goosebumps are far more protruding than the 2018 build, where they appear to be flat. It’s disgusting (retail) if you ask me, but they come off more lifelike than the previous one. Looking at the last shot, you can see textures have been added to the glove giving them more of a grippier look.

Once again, better lighting and reflection bring out more details.

The lighting here is seen coming from an actual source; the early build lacks it entirely where the new one adds it is not only on Sam but also in the environment itself. Handprints formed by the BT now reflect light as the liquid that fills them wave around. The ground now produces a wet look that one would expect after a rainstorm.

A showcase of more improved lighting, details, and reflections are all enhanced. One thing to point out is in the last image above, the tear that is running down Fragile’s face now appears better, and the improved textures help make it shine rather then blend in with it now seems as if it’s running along with them. You can see more twinkles as the teardrop gets raised towards the light source.

The last shots showcase the environments. For the most, it remains the same graphically outside the general improvements we mentioned above. Foilage has been changed a bit here and there to add more color and variety. The final screenshot is from gameplay. It does lose some minor lighting effect due to now being a dynamic scene that the player has control over, though most details are retained.

Overall, the visuals have seen improvements since the TGA 2016 build reveal. The lighting and shadows have been changed to bring out more details along with a significant jump in textures. Some set pieces have also received more color, though whether that’s an improvement is entirely up to the reader. Fans should, however, be happy to see that the game hasn’t received any substantial downgrades, and if there was any it’s very minor. I do believe that Kojima Production was able to deliver on what they showed prior to release. Plenty of titles tend to show a significant downgrade, but PlayStation has been setting a gold standard when it comes to the end result. I will say that out of any PlayStation-designed games, this one is by far the best result when it comes to comparing the differences.

Monster Hunter World Update 11.50 Patch Notes – Brings Resident Evil Content & More

Well, it’s here, Monster Hunter World players! The big Monster Hunter World update 11.50 patch is here, and it brings Resident Evil content to the game. Check out the contents of it, as well as the full Monster Hunter World update 11.50 patch notes below.

Monster Hunter World update 11.50 patch notes:

Raccoon City collaboration

As the headliner for this update, the Raccoon City collaboration features a new take on hunting a Vaal Hazak. Not only is it a Blackveil Vaal Hazak (already a bit different… more of a pain, if you ask me), but the effects of its spores are also out of the ordinary.

To counter the effects of whatever this not-Effluvia is, you’ll need to keep an eye out for Green Herbs (and even Red Herbs for a more powerful combo) on the field. And when you do conquer this peculiar fiend, you’ll get materials to craft Full Armor Sets based on famous Raccoon City survivors Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Other rewards include some fanciful Raccoon City themed pendants for your weapons.

Fortnite Update 2.44 Now Out, Here’s What’s in v11.10.2

While we didn’t get our usual Fortnite patch this week, Epic Games has released a new Fortnite update on PS4, and it’s live now! Fortnite update 2.44 (which Epic Games has marked as v11.10.2) is out, and clocks in at just 349MB. As far as we’re aware, this update is just for the PS4 and not the other platforms. Read on below for what it does.

Fortnite update 2.44 changes:

Patch v11.10.2 on PlayStation 4 to Address Hitching Reports
byu/M_House_Epic inFortNiteBR

Hey, everyone!

We have released a new patch (v11.10.2) on PlayStation 4 today to resolve reported issues of hitching. A download is required.

Thanks to everyone for submitting feedback!

Yep, that’s basically it. Mind, it’s still a big fix since hitching is definitely annoying. For the latest, more significant patch with changes, head on over here to see what got changed. Also of note, if you’re wondering why the Motorboats aren’t available in Competitive, it’s because Epic took them out.

Due to an issue, we’ve temporarily disabled Motorboats in Competitive playlists and Tournaments. We’ll provide an update when this is resolved.

Once the fix for this is out, we’ll let our readers know.

We’ll keep an eye out for future Fortnite patches, and datamined info. If you spot anything that got changed due to this patch, let us know down in the comments.

Monster Hunter World X Resident Evil, and Horizon Zero Dawn Crossover Release Dates Announced

In case you didn’t know, Capcom is crossing over two video game titles with the super successful Monster Hunter World, and these are Resident Evil, and Horizon Zero Dawn. In a press release, Capcom has announced the Monster Hunter World Resident Evil crossover release date, as well as the one for Horizon called The Frozen Wilds.

The Monster Hunter World Resident Evil release date is set for November 7 (yes, tomorrow), while the one for The Frozen Wilds, is set for November 21.

Raccoon City collaboration
Popular survival horror icons Leon, Claire and Tyrant pay a visit to Iceborne for the Raccoon City collaboration, which will be available from 4pm PT on November 7 in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. As part of this special collaboration, hunters can acquire materials upon completing the event quest (MR20 or above) to craft Leon α+ and Claire α+ layered armor sets plus three Raccoon City themed pendants to spruce up their favorite weapons. Additional rewards for completing the event quest include two new gestures, allowing hunters to shuffle like zombies or even zombie bite a nearby monster to deal damage. Raccoon City also takes over Your Room, with a variety of themed decorations available for hunters to deck out their pads in survival horror style, including the iconic typewriter and item box (which of course includes the ability to save game progress and store your items respectively). Thanks to last month’s title update, players can also show off their macabre abodes as friends can visit each other’s rooms.

The Raccoon City collaboration would not be complete without the iconic Tyrant. “The Handler’s Terrifying Tyrant” paid DLC costume transforms the normally spunky young woman into a trenchcoat-wearing, quest journal-wielding brute to join hunters on quests, prepare meals at camp, and even appear in cut-scenes.

Horizon Zero Dawn™: The Frozen Wilds Collaboration on PS4™
Aloy journeys to the frozen wilds of Hoarfrost Reach in an exclusive upcoming collaboration for PlayStation®4 players. The first round of an exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn™: The Frozen Wilds collaboration will become available starting November 21, giving players who are MR24 or above a chance to craft a Light Bowgun based on Aloy’s Stormslinger Prototype. The collaboration quest will reward players with special materials used to craft the Horizon Zero Dawn™: The Frozen Wilds equipment. Additionally, hunters will receive a Pendant designed as Aloy’s Focus that they can attach to their favorite weapon upon completing this special quest.

Lastly, Capcom has also announced that there will be December updates to Monster Hunter World as well, which includes a soon-to-be-revealed new monster! December will also mark the return of Monster Hunter’s seasonal fests that will offer themed takeovers of the hub area. For the first time, these fests will be held in the Astera and Seliana Gathering Hubs.

For those on PS4, The Frozen Wilds crossover event will be expanded upon in December with more free content featuring new event quests, themed gear, and more. Capcom has also shared that more updates are planned for the game in 2020 with more info to be shared at a later date.

Once the patch is out later for the Resident Evil crossover, we’ll let our readers know.

Destiny 2 Max Power Level Player Gets Weird Coded Message From Bungie

Are you a hardcore Destiny 2 player? If you are, chances are you’re not as hardcore and dedicated as Bagel4K, as player has managed to hit the Destiny 2 max power level of 1000! To mark this occasion, Bungie has issued a letter, and a coded message that got decoded by Reddit quite quickly.

Since the release of Shadowkeep, we’ve been watching the community climb in Power as they’ve embraced the Seasonal Artifact to take on the Nightmares of the Moon. The Gate Lord’s Eye provides not only unique perks for players to earn, but additional Power to give Guardians an edge when taking on pinnacle content.

A few among you have been hard on the grind, looking to reach heights in Power that some may only dream of achieving. [I am Savathûn, ravenous!] Last night, Bagel4k was the first to reach Power level 999. [I have set the snare and baited the trap] Following the guidance of a lore piece, they’ve also taken on the Shattered Throne dungeon, solo, in hopes of breaking the curse of the Dreaming City. [Is victory so easy, hero?] The claims made in the “Truth to Power” lore book were ambiguous. Now that they have been put to the test, the curse has yet to be broken… [I am the finality, the reward—I am the true ending]

To our friend Bagel4k,

[This is another gift]

You’ve spent countless hours defeating the enemies of the Last City, steadily increasing your Power to challenge the darkness that is consuming the Dreaming City. [Your strength is my strength] We’ve been watching, alongside the community, as you’ve come to the doorstep of being the first Guardian in Destiny history to have a four-digit Power level. [Your victory is my victory] We are humbled by your dedication, and while this may not have broken the curse… we can say without question that you have become Legend. [My jaws are wide and I am waiting]

Thank you for playing, and we can’t wait to see how high you climb each season.

[The wait is long, but I am ceaseless]

Cheers,

Yep, it seems the “true ending”of Shadowkeep is that, well, it’s Savathun. Take from that what you will. Congrats, Bagel4K! I gather, this won’t be the last time Bungie will tease gamers with Destiny 2 lore when a new milestone is achieved.

Diablo 4 Crossplay Is Something Blizzard Is “Very Excited About”

Possibly one of the best new features we’re getting with almost every game now is crossplay, which is letting players from PC, PS4, Xbox One, and other platforms play with each other. With a co-op action-RPG like Diablo 4, it’s a given that we’ll be getting Diablo 4 crossplay support, right?

Well, apparently, that hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Blizzard Entertainment is aiming for that. Speaking to the Telegraph (via VG247). Executive Producer Allen Adham said the following:

We’re very excited about cross-play…There are technical details and details to work through with the first parties, but it’s our goal to get to cross-play.

Given how Blizzard has been notorious in making sure its Diablo titles are up to the standards of its predecessors, don’t expect Diablo 4 anytime soon. With that said, I wouldn’t be surprised if Diablo 4 crossplay support is part of the game at launch.

Diablo 4 has been confirmed for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Don’t forget to check Diablo 4 gameplay right here.

Modern Warfare 725 Nerf Coming “Soon,” Upcoming Patch Out in a “Few Days” and Includes Footsteps Tuning & More

If you’re one of the many people getting obliterated by the 725 shotgun in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you’re not alone. Thankfully, Infinity Ward has noticed this and has mentioned that a Modern Warfare 725 nerf is coming “soon!” How soon? It’ll be out in a “few days” soon!

This was mentioned by Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot over on Twitter in replying to Twitch streamer Hutch, where he confirmed that a nerf is indeed incoming for the 725 and claymores.

https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1191815982420905985

In addition to the Modern Warfare 725 nerf, other changes in this update include: EOD perk adjustments (will be made stronger), footsteps tuning, and more.

https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1191474021663010816

A couple more things in our sights in addition to the items in the below tweet: – claymore balance – EOD adjustments – second round of footstep tuning And more!

Exciting, right? According to Senior Communications Manager Ashton Williams, this patch will be out in the “next few days” barring any unforeseen circumstances.

https://twitter.com/ashtonisVULCAN/status/1192108443248672768

Pending any unexpected issues, we’ve got an update rolling out over the next few days that improves stability across all platforms, fixes bugs, weapon tuning, footsteps, claymores, and more.

Hopefully, footsteps, spawns and the 725 are handled in this, which should alleviate most of the major headaches from players. Once this update is out, we’l be sure to let our readers know.

EwinRacing Gaming Champion Series Review

We put the EwinRacing Champion Series Gaming Chair to the test in our latest product review, and if you’re looking forward to a comfy gaming chair, this might be the thing you’re looking for.

Easy to Build, Hard to Break, Good to Sit-In

In my long history of dealing with home and office furniture, there is nothing more that I hate than having to assemble them. The dreaded feeling of seeing every individual part, along with a handful of miscellaneous small screws and bolts that you are expected to know where they go to. I’m looking at you IKEA with your boxes of wooden blocks that come with no instructions that make me want to scream and pull my hair out.

Thankfully Ewinracing keeps the majority of building right at their factory door. While there is some assembly required, for the most, the chair came pre-setup in three individual parts, with an additional box containing the required tools and screws to tie it all together. With the clear instructions provided in the shipment, the gaming chair only took me a short 15-minutes to build with no confusion whatsoever. And yet despite the quick and easy assembly, the chair is quite durable.

If the instructions aren’t clear, you can visit their dedicated set-up post here: EwinRacing Gaming Chair Installation

There is one thing everyone hates, and that’s when an expensive new piece of equipment seemingly breaks for no apparent reason. Being a victim of such atrocities in the past with headsets, electronic tools, and many other things, I have grown a custom to putting everyday use items through some stress tests to ensure the durability of said item. And for this gaming chair, I’m proud to say it didn’t disappoint. No matter how hard I tried to bend the chair out of shape or cause individuals parts to loosen up, the chair remained strong without any signs of wear. This is mostly due to the fact that there is a reinforced steel frame throughout the interior body of the chair, along with the bottom of the seat and below the armrests. The chair is pretty heavy due to this inclusion, but that’s a good thing as it won’t fall if someone accidentally bumps into it.

And this goes without saying that the chair is very comfortable to sit on, especially for prolonged usage. During the week time that I had with testing, I have not once felt any discomfort compared to past Computer Gaming chairs that I have used. Being a writer, a gamer, and a video editor, I’m typically on my PC and gaming console on average somewhere between 5 to 10 hours a day. That is a long time to be sitting down and could prove to be stressful to one’s posture. With the EwinRacing Champion Gaming chair brilliantly ergonomic design, it was easy to get acclimated to long sittings. The chair does its job of promoting a healthy posture by allowing you to sit firmly in a comfortable position. And with the high-density cold cure foam, it ensures that it molds to whatever body type all while maintaining a snug firm feel due to the PU leather. There are also two free pillows that can easily be strapped on (if they aren’t already) — one for your head to rest on, and the other for lumbar support. I tested the chair with and without them, and I prefer having them on though it is still comfortable without them.

And looking underneath, some elastic bandings are running along the memory foam cushion to absorb pressure. While there is still a steel framing running underneath the chair, this band serves as an alternative for support, limiting the amount of metal on the bottom of the chair. Thus more comfortability.

So what about the other features that make this chair different than the rest? Well, there’s quite a few.

Like many gaming chairs out there, the Ewin chair comes equipped with an adjustable backrest. This backrest can be adjusted to vertical angles up to 85 degrees, all the way down to 155-degrees horizontally.  My personal preference was right below the 85-degree mark though I found myself using the full 155-degree option quite frequently. It’s nice having a chair that can be used for both my gaming and work needs, but it’s even sweeter having one with the option take a nap on. And it gets better as there is also a multi-tilt mechanism, allowing you to lean the chair further back without the fear of losing your balance.

In addition to the adjustable backrest, the seat also includes the standardized height adjustment with a built-in locking mechanism if you aren’t a fan of the extra tilt it supplies. Though the one additional feature I was especially impressed with was the 4D armrest. While most armrests are stationary to their locked position besides height, the ones on the Ewin Racing game chair allow you to tilt, turn, and even extend out a bit. It may not seem like a prominent feature, but being able to adjust the armrests to different play/work style is pretty great as it adds another layer of comfortability on top of everything. It’s a great add-on that many may overlook.

And then there are the wheels on the base itself. Usually, not something I would typically make a notice, but due to the weight of the chair, I was surprised by how easy it was to roll on carpet. There is a little resistance there, something you can expect on any furniture when it comes to carpet, but it’s kept at a pretty minimum level. And to be sure, I did do a little research afterward to discover that the wheels are designed for smooth operation, all while resisting debris from said surface. They even offer higher graded wheels for their XL line of gaming chairs.

High Price, But Worth The Quality

Depending on which model you opt for, the price of an EwinRacing gaming chair may cost you a pretty penny. They offer chairs averaging from $250 to almost up to $500 in pricing, depending on the size and style that you may want. And yet, the quality that accompanies it shows that it is well worth the pricing. While I prefer the feeling of real leather over PU leather, this does go without saying that the type of PU leather used here is well made. It has a very close leather feel to it, and it’s been designed to be extra stain resistance. And even still, it’s a very easy clean with a soft cloth.

There is a tightness to the chair that many other competitors lack. Often, be it real leather or PU leather, there would be some signs of wrinkling due to wear and tear and exposure to heat. Because of the type of PU leather used, and the high-quality memory foam, that wrinkled effect is kept at a minimum as the chair retains a firm and smooth look. Of course, there are areas on the chair that provide grip for extra slip resistance. In the model (Ewinracing Champion Series) we received, the additional grip support came in the shape of diamonds etched in the design of the chair and was placed in the areas that mattered the most (backrest and seating pad). It certainly is a welcomed design, although if you aren’t a fan of the texture gripping feeling, Ewinracing does offer chairs that are more smooth in design.

The last note to touch upon is the shape of the chair. Like most high-end gaming chairs out there, the inspiration of the chair comes from those found in race cars. And this makes a ton of sense, considering that racing vehicles are retrofitted with seats that are meant for extended and comfortable use, which this chair is designed for. Some may not like the design and prefer something more office-appropriate. As for me,  I loved the overall shape as it felt tailored to my specifications. The fins and the left and right of the chair weren’t too protruding to where they could be an annoyance, the seat padding, though has some slight elevation, didn’t have an unnecessary hump near the bottom that would raise your legs, and the height was a perfect match for myself. Now not all of their chairs share the same height and width, so it’s essential to do some homework ahead of time to ensure that it won’t be too small or too big. Luckily their customer service has a direct chat line on their website should you have any questions about which chair would suit you.

The Best Gaming Chair Around?

If EwinRacing Gaming Chair’s goal was to make an impression on me, well consider them successful. While I certainly don’t want to say it’s the best gaming chair around (since I haven’t tried them all), it is without question amongst the top. There’s a lot of work and love that went into building this chair, and the result shows. From the beautifully stitched PU Leather to the perfectly cured memory foam, this chair backs the naming of EwinRacing, bringing it to the forefront of a quality brand. If there’s a place to start, then it’s EwinRacing.

PROS

  • Built to last: Steel framing ensures that the chair can survive everyday usage with little to no wear and tear
  • Memory foam wrapped in high-quality PU Leather that produces a comfort level that anyone would be satisfied with
  • Sleek design, not overly bulky and easy to move around
  • EWinRacing website offers an extensive collection of sizes and color designs to pick from, with easy support access

CONS

  • Pricing – It’s not cheap, but the quality quickly makes up for that. So as the phrase goes, you pay for what you get, and you are getting quite a lot.

If you liked our review of the EWinRacing Champion Series chair, make sure to leave a comment below. And if you happen to be interested in purchasing one of these beautiful chairs, you can do so by visiting the official EwinRacing webpage. Infinity Ward Wanted Modern Warfare to Be Slower for Newbies, Uses “Endless Places to Hide” as Selling Point for a Map

If you’ve been playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer since it launched (or just a few matches), chances are you’ve noticed how the shooter now has a more “passive” playstyle compared to past iterations of the franchise; something we’ve reported about before.

While how you play a game is entirely up to you, the shooter does penalize movement and ADS speed most of the time. Well, it seems this is intentional on Infinity Ward’s part, and this was made to help the new players not get stomped on by the franchise veterans. Want proof? We got it. YouTuber Birdman posted a video of Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot stating this in an interview, which you can watch below.

Here’s a transcript of what Cecot said in the video in case you want to digest it faster.

We want to get new players into the game and we don’t want them to get punched in the mouth until they leave … It’s a big focus for us in weapon design, it’s a big focus for us in level design. Our weapons are a bit more lethal than they were in Black Ops, and that helps the lower skilled player get a kill when they otherwise wouldn’t … our maps are a little more porous and we want that player to have a safe place to take their time …

If that wasn’t enough, it seems the Modern Warfare main menu on PS4 now puts the spotlight on sniper-heavy map Euphrates Bridge, and even goes as far as to mention how it has “endless places to hide” as a selling point f or a map!

This “endless spaces to hide” thing didn’t escape the eyes of former Infinity Ward Producer Robert Bowling (otherwise known as FourZeroTwo).

https://twitter.com/fourzerotwo/status/1191809977825951744

Well, there you have it, then. For those wondering whether Infinity Ward will change the game design to make the pace a bit faster, there has been a rumor that a “big overhaul” is coming, though Infinity Ward themselves have not commented on any changes about the overall campiness of Modern Warfare.

For those who are playing Modern Warfare, what do you think of the game’s pace? A breath of fresh air, or do you want a more run ‘n’ gun playstyle? Do you agree with Infinity Ward’s design decision to make the game more newbie-friendly? Let us know your thoughts below.

PS Plus Free Games Download Now Live; Links, File Sizes and Info Here (US & UK)

If you’re a fan of free stuff, and you own a PlayStation 4, you’re in for a treat! This month’s PlayStation Plus free games are now live! In case you didn’t know, this month’s freebies are Nioh and Outlast 2 — two outstanding titles. The PS Plus free games download links are below, along with file sizes, official info and more.

Nioh – 39.27GB

Description

Ready your blade – grueling encounters await around every corner in this action RPG in a vast land ravaged by civil war.

To triumph you’ll need patience, to learn where each foe – human or demon – is strong, and when to strike at their weaknesses.

Embrace every defeat as a step along the path to victory. Only in death will you find the way of the samurai.

Online features require an account and are subject to terms of service (playstationnetwork.com/terms-of-service), privacy policy (playstationnetwork.com/privacy-policy), and the game publisher’s privacy policy.

Outlast 2 – 21GB

Description

You are Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with your wife, Lynn. The two of you are investigative journalists willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch.

You’re following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe.

The investigation has lead you miles into the Arizona desert, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.

Needless to say, both games are well worth the harddisk space, so better get downloading.

Modern Warfare Recoil for Weapons Detailed for Standing, Crouched and Prone

In case you didn’t know, we posted proof yesterday that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s recoil system for guns is a little bit on the “off” side. Well, if you’re wondering just how the Modern Warfare recoil for weapons work when you’re standing, crouched, or prone, here’s the answer.

Reddit user Naughty Maggot did a test of all the automatic weapons in the game, and here are the findings.

Some guns in Modern Warfare have much worse recoil when Crouching or Proning, I’ve tested every fully automatic weapon in private games multiple times without any attachments and have recorded my findings below. I don’t know if this is deliberate or if the developers have somehow assigned the wrong values to different stances.

This post is based off of a Post by u/ErocYT. Corroborating his findings, I also tested firing whilst proned and can say that I’ve got even more weird data, I’ll display them as ratios where the lowest recoil pattern will be the base at 1 and adjust the other values according to how much more they travel in comparison to the lowest value.

P (Proned) C (Crouched) S (Standing) [Decimal Value]

Kilo – P:C:S is 1:9:3

So in this example the Prone is a base of 1, then the Standing travels 3 times further so is 3. Then the Crouch recoil travels 9 times further than Prone, which is 3 times further than Standing. It appears that the Crouch and Standing values need swapping.

Kilo – 1:9:3

M4A1 – 1:1:4

Odin – 1:1:1

M13 – 1:9:4

Scar – 1:2:2

Ak – 1:9:6

The Odin is a strange one, no matter what stance you’re in the gun has the same recoil, even when Proned the recoil is very strong. The M4A1 has exactly the same recoil pattern whilst Proned or Crouched. The guns that kick more whilst Crouched vs Standing are the Kilo, M13 and AK. Ideally we should see recoil patterns such as 1:3:5 or similar.

Aug – 1:4:4

P90 – 1:3:6

MP5 – 1:1:1

Uzi – 4:1:[1.5]

Bizon – 3:1:3

MP7 – 6:1:3

Again very strange data, the Uzi, Bizon and MP7 are considerably worse when Proned, ridiculously so in my opinion. The MP5s recoil is identical regardless of stance. The only gun that follows any rational recoil pattern is the P90, the Aug is the same whilst Crouched or Standing but considerably better whilst Proned.

RKM – 1:2:[1.5]

SA87 – 1:1:2

M91 1:[1.1]:[1.2]

MG34 – 1:[1.3]:[1.1]

With the LMGs the recoil patters are very similar regardless of stance but there are certain points to make, for instance the RKM is better Stood than Crouched. The SA87 is as good Crouched vs Proned. The M91 and MG34 have extremely similar recoil patters in every stance.

Are these values a bug? Intentional? I can’t say for sure. Hopefully, this helps you understand better whether you need to go prone or not when firing each particular weapon.
