Destiny 2 Leviathan Prestige Raid Delayed to Next Week

Those looking forward to the Destiny 2 Leviathan Prestige Raid, you’ll have to keep on waiting. According to Bungie, the Destiny 2 Prestige Raid will roll out this October 18 at 10 a.m.m PT. Why? Well, it’s all about an exploit which makes the encounter less challenging, which I assume they meant this.

An exploit has been discovered in the Leviathan Raid that causes the encounters to be stripped of their intended challenge. To allow time to fix this issue, we are delaying the start of the Prestige Raid until next week. It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty.

The new start time for the Prestige Raid is Wednesday, October 18, at 10AM Pacific.

In case you didn’t check the link above out, the exploit essentially makes it so the final boss is without grunts, which makes taking Calus down a wee bit easier. Is it cheesy? Yep, but are people using it? You betcha.

Diablo III Season 12 Stat Date Announced

While Blizzard has already confirmed that we won’t see any Diablo 4 or Diablo-themed announcements at this year’s BlizzCon, there is something that Diablo III fans can still look forward to, and that’s the next season of the RPG.

Over on Battle.net, Blizzard has announced the Season 11 end date, and when Diablo III Season 12 begins.

Season 11 will be ending on the following dates and times:

  • North America: Friday, October 20 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
  • Europe: Friday, October 20 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
  • Asia: Friday, October 20 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

Season 12 will begin about three weeks afterward on the dates below:

  • North America: Thursday, November 9 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
  • Europe: Thursday, November 9 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
  • Asia: Thursday, November 9 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

For the new Diablo players, don’t forget, almost everything you’ve earned will carry over to the non-Seasonal game modes. Check out the full list just to be sure.

Here’s a list of all the rewards from this Season you can expect your non-Seasonal heroes to enjoy:

Heroes

  • Seasonal heroes will be converted to either non-Seasonal Normal or Hardcore mode heroes, as appropriate. There’s no need to delete any characters to make room for them; your Seasonal heroes will continue to use the same slot they currently occupy in your roster after the rollover. You’ll also be able to use Season Rebirth to convert any non-seasonal character into a Seasonal level 1 character once the next Season begins.

Gold

  • Any gold you earn during the Season will transfer to your non-Seasonal heroes.

Paragon Experience

  • The total amount of Paragon experience earned is the amount that rolls over, but not the raw total Paragon levels that you gained.
  • For example, if your Seasonal heroes reached Paragon 300, and your current non-Seasonal heroes are already Paragon 400, your new non-Seasonal Paragon level will still be less than Paragon 700, since Paragon levels require more experience to earn the higher you go.

Blood Shards

  • Similar to the way it works with gold, any Blood Shards you have available at the end of the Season will transfer to your non-Seasonal heroes.
  • If your non-Seasonal heroes are currently at the Blood Shard cap, any Blood Shards you earn once the Season ends will temporarily ignore the cap. You can spend these at your leisure; however, you can’t pick up any additional Blood Shards until you are below the current cap.

Items

  • Items that are currently equipped on a hero or in that hero’s inventory will stay on that hero as it moves to a non-Seasonal game mode.
  • Items that are in your Seasonal stash will be sent through the in-game mail system to your non-Seasonal heroes. These items can be claimed by any non-Seasonal hero up to 30 days from the time you first log in after the Season ends. To access these items on PC, enter a game and hit the Mail icon located in the lower left corner of your screen to open your inbox. Console players can do the same by visiting the mailbox found in any town hub.
  • If you’ve unlocked Primal Ancient items by completing Greater Rift 70 on a Seasonal hero, you’ll also be able to obtain them on non-Seasonal heroes after the Season ends (if you have not previously unlocked them for non-Seasonal heroes).

Artisan Progress and Recipes

  • If your Seasonal Artisans are a higher level than your non-Seasonal Artisans at the end of the Season, their level will transfer to your non-Seasonal Artisans.
  • Any recipes you have on your Seasonal Artisans that are not available to your non-Seasonal Artisans will be transferred as well.

Shared Stash

  • Any Shared Stash slots or tabs you purchase during a Season that are not currently available to your non-Seasonal heroes will be transferred accordingly.

Achievements

  • Any achievements or achievement progress made during the Season is automatically applied to your non-Seasonal achievement profile. This happens in real time and does not require the Season to end first. Your achievement point total is also updated appropriately throughout the Season.

Kanai’s Cube

  • After the Season rollover, any Legendary Powers unlocked using Kanai’s Cube on a Seasonal Character will become available on non-Seasonal characters as appropriate.
  • At the start of a new Season, Seasonal characters will not have access to any Kanai’s Cube Legendary Powers unlocked during previous Seasonal or non-Seasonal play.

Season 10 Rewards

  • All players who reach level 70 on a hero in Season 11 will unlock exclusive transmogrification appearances for pants and boots. These appearances will unlock immediately upon hitting level 70 on a Seasonal hero, and will be available on Seasonal and non-Seasonal heroes alike (even before the Season concludes). To access your new appearances, simply visit Myriam the Mystic and open the Transmogrification tab.
  • In addition, players can earn portrait frames and an exclusive pennant for completing various chapters of the Season Journey.

CS:GO De Dust 2 Map Updated to Be More “Refined”

If there ever was a fan-favorite map in shooters, it’s de_dust and de_dust2 in Counter-Strike. While Dust2 has been out of the competitive scene since early this year, it seems the reason for that is quite simple: Valve is tweaking it to be an “updated and refined” version moving forward.

Nothing concrete has been announced so far, but we did get this tweet announcing that Dust2 updated map will be in the next beta depot.

What do you want to see in the Dust2 update? As someone who spent countless hours in the first dust map, I’d want something to change for Dust2 but not too much that it’ll change the entire map layout.

Top 5 Call of Duty: WWII Leaks You Need to Know

Over on Pixel Enemy, I’ve published a video in which I list the most interesting Call of Duty: WWII leaks. These include weapon camos, Operations, and more!

Click “play” on the video above to give it a watch, and be sure to leave any thoughts of your own in the comments below.

“This is Mack, for Pixel Enemy, here to talk about the recent Call of Duty: WWII leaks. There has been a hell of a lot info mined from the PC beta files, giving us a good idea of what to expect from the game at launch.

And while Sledgehammer Games has warned that some of this info is “inaccurate” and/or “subject to change,” we can still use it to get a feel for what the game is going to be all about.

Filtering through the leaked info is a bit of a slog, and so to save you the trouble, I figured I’d dedicate a Top 5 episode to rounding up the five most interesting Call of Duty: WWII leaks.

Let’s start with weapon camos!”

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 4.1 Brings New Quests, Dungeons, Raids & More

Square Enix has released patch 4.1, “The Legend Returns” for Final Fantasy XIV.

The update introduces new main scenario quests, 24-player alliance raids, side quests, and much more.

You can find the full list of patch notes below:

  • Main Scenario Quests – The liberation of Ala Mhigo by the resistance signals the end of an era of tyranny. Lyse and her people now must decide how to greet their future, as Raubahn also faces important decisions of his own.
  • New 24-Player Alliance Raid Series – Return to Ivalice – Renowned game designer Yasumi Matsuno (FINAL FANTASY XII / FINAL FANTASY Tactics) and Keita Amemiya—creator of the Garo television and film series, from which the Patch 3.5 PvP gear, weapons, and mount designs originated—lend their talents as guest creators in this thrilling new raid series and story.
  • New High-Level Dungeon – Players can delve into the depths of The Drowned City of Skalla, the submerged ruins of a city destroyed by war and filled with promises of treasure and unsolved mysteries of years past.
  • The Minstrel’s Ballad: Shinryu’s Domain – Shinryu beckons players to the battlefield once again in a new trial battle that poses an even greater challenge than the original encounter with this fearsome foe.
  • New Side Quests – A new chapter in the fan-favorite Hildibrand adventures series arrives, in which Nashu Mhakaracca sets forth in search of her mentor in the Far East.
  • Adventurer Squadrons – Players may explore a number of dungeons in solo play by forming a party with their adventurer squadron members. Players can issue commands to squadron members, who will also grow stronger as they hone their skills during these adventures.
  • Kojin Beast Tribe Quests – Assist the Blue Kojin in creating their own treasure vault to store their gathered treasures and honor the divine, earning new rewards as you further relationships with this beast tribe.
  • New Housing Area – Residential plots of land in the picturesque Shirogane are open to new residents, offering a lifestyle experience like no other in the Hingan paradise.
  • New Custom Deliveries – Disciples of the Hand and Land can turn in crafted and gathered items each week to M’naago to help further her cause while learning more about the Resistance Widows and Orphans Fund.

For even more comprehensive details of what The Legend Returns includes, check out the official website here.

Square Enix has also listed their plans for the future including patch 4.11 and 4.15:

Additional content updates are also planned following the release of Patch 4.1. Players seeking an even greater challenge can test their skills in the Unending Coil of Bahamut (Ultimate) battle in Patch 4.11, scheduled for release two weeks after Patch 4.1, which promises to require even more determination than “Extreme” and “Savage” difficulty battles.

Additionally, Patch 4.15 will introduce Rival Wings, the newest PvP mode featuring 24-v-24 player combat with a brand-new ruleset. Adventurers can take control of mighty goblin creations as they enter the forgotten Sharlayan testing site, Astragalos, and fight and attempt to destroy their opponents’ towers.

Will you be returning to the game for the 24-player alliance raids? Let us know below.

In other Final Fantasy news, developer and publisher Square Enix is wanting to focus on games that “customers can enjoy more and play longer.” If you missed out on the Dissidia Final Fantasy NT experience, catch up with this video.

Battlefield 1 New Operation Campaign to Deploy in November, Future Plans Detailed

If you’re a fan of Battlefield 1’s Operations (like me!), do I have good news for you! DICE has announced that the BF1 new Operations Campaign mode will launch next month! This was revealed by DICE over on the official Battlefield website  (thanks, Danny!) where the developer also talked about future plans for the title.

Those not familiar with Operation Campaign, it’s essentially a bunch of Operations strung together and with unique rewards added to the mix. The first Operation Campaign will be called Eastern Storm, and will combine the two Operations from In the Name of the Tsar expansion: Brusilov Offense and Red Tide, and will be available this November for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass members or those who own In the Name of the Tsar expansion.

The second Operation Campaign will also be available in November, and will be called Fall of Empires and will be a combination of the base game’s Iron Walls and Conquer Hell. DICE says there are more Operation Campaigns to come after these two.

So what will you get for playing? Aside from the mountain of XP, there’s going to be a special Battlepack for each completed Operation Campaign, and an Operation Campaign Codex will also be handed out to players after their first successful Campaign.

In addition to that, DICE has also detailed some of the plans it has for the Battlefield franchise’s 15th year anniversary! Those who log in from October 12 to October 16 will be able to participate in Battlefield 1 Year Anniversary events that include new missions, giveaways and an Anniversary dog tag.

DICE also mentioned the third BF1 expansion, Turning Tides, and what players can expect in December when it launches.

Prepare for Battlefield 1 Turning Tides
In December, you will be able to conquer the sea, air, and land in Battlefield 1 Turning Tides, the third Battlefield 1 expansion. With a focus on naval warfare, you’ll engage in the daredevil Zeebrugge Raid and the Gallipoli Offensive, with the British Royal Marines as a new playable faction. Prepare for new maps, weapons, vehicles and other content as you take on the amphibious expeditions of World War 1.

Finally, the BF1 October update will roll out “very soon” and will include a host of fixes to the core gameplay as well as new dog tags and “new gameplay settings.”

Once we know more details about the BF1 Year Anniversary event, we’ll make sure to let people know.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Patch Kicks Off PVP “Ghost War”

Ubisoft’s latest patch for Ghost Recon Wildlands brings the much-awaited PVP release with Title Update 8, going live on PS4 and Xbox One today, before touching down on PC on October 12.

The patch for consoles will be up to 11GB in size, depending on which version of the game you already have installed, and for PC it will be 4.7GB on Steam and 9.5GB on Uplay.

Alongside the PVP launch, Ubisoft has fixed several issues with the game, including user interface bugs, gameplay animations, game stability, and co-op connectivity.

Find the full update below:

MISSIONS/NARRATION

  • – In “El Cardinal”, fixed a bug where the player couldn’t redeploy freely after failing the mission

USER INTERFACE

  • – Fixed a bug where a “NEW” tag would appear on the loadout even though there is no new unlocked item
  • – Fixed a bug where the “Missile incoming” warning would be displayed too late
  • – Fixed some situations where the prestige points earned wouldn’t appear on screen

COOP

  • – Fixed a bug where a player wouldn’t be kicked from the lobby if the command was initiated from several players
  • – Added relay servers for improved connectivity between players

GAMEPLAY

  • – Fixed a bug where a player shooting from the trunk of a car could lose control over the character
  • – Polished the new helicopter’s landing animation

STABILITY

  • – Fixed a bug where Norton antivirus users would have troubles launching the game

NARCO ROAD

  • – In “El Invisible”, fixed a bug where the “mission failed” screen would not appear, making the mission unavailable.
PC
  • – Fixed the mouse input precision for the new helicopter control scheme. We implemented mouse acceleration which decays as helicopter picks up speed, and a deceleration when player is driving, as previous implementation was losing angular velocity too fast
  • – Fixed an issue causing vehicle doors to always shown as being closed when using NVidia Ansel

On top of the bug fixes and improvements to the main game, this update is bringing the PvP mode: Ghost War. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Ghost War is an intense tactical 4v4 adversarial experience. At launch, you will have 12 classes to choose from as you battle enemies across 8 different maps. You will need to plan your actions and tactics carefully, as even your downed teammates can become objectives since you will be able to revive them at any time.

Watch the PVP launch trailer below:

Will you be testing out the new PVP mode?

In other Ghost Recon Wildlands news, the game will be free to try this weekend on consoles and PC. For more on the “Ghost War” PVP, take a look at the full details here.

Star Wars Battlefront II Features Darth Vader Armed With New Powers

Darth Vader is coming to Star Wars Battlefront II, because of course he is! This news will come as no surprise to most of you, as what would a Battlefront game be without this iconic dark lord?

This time around, Darth Vader comes packing some tweaked abilities that makes him a little different to play as. What follows is the official description of what Vader can do in Battlefront II:

Anger fuels the dark side of the Force, and Vader’s rage is nearly boundless. By drawing from his potent fury, Vader can periodically increase both his durability and his damage output, becoming stronger as a battle unfolds. Vader is always dangerous, but when he calls upon his anger, he is nearly unstoppable.

Vader can also attack at range with his lightsaber with a powerful throw, sending the red blade of energy scything through enemy ranks and then returning it to his hand. This allows him to make potent strikes at a distance.

And of course, Darth Vader wields his iconic Force choke, punishing his enemies with a telekinetic attack that lifts them off the ground as it weakens them. The crushing grip of the Sith Lord holds victims in the air, then drops his enemies at a place of his choosing (like a nearby cliff).

Darth Vader was always my number one pick in the original game, so I’m very happy to see his return.

Will you be playing as Vader when Star Wars Battlefront II launches on November 17?

In other Battlefront II news, upcoming balance changes have been detailed. The game’s frame-rate and PS4 Pro graphics have been analyzed. Finally, after hitting the level cap, we put together a Battlefront 2 beta impressions piece

Aside from the new skins being made available in the Halloween chest, you can also expect to grab the Jack O’ Lantern jump stamp and the Spooky music theme as well.

Warframe Plains of Eidolon Gameplay Trailer Reminds You It’s Coming Soon

Digital Extremes’ highly successful free-to-play game Warframe will be getting another huge expansion soon on PC, and sometime in November for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. To whet appetites for the “Plains of Eidolon” expansion, a new trailer is out that hypes up the Warframe Plains of Eidolon launch.

Official details from the expansion straight from Warframe’s official website:

In Plains of Eidolon you will set foot in a Landscape larger than anything you’ve seen in Warframe — and you’re free to explore it on your own terms. Explore, discover, fight, and fly in ways you never have before.

PLAINS OF EIDOLON

Welcome to the Plains of Eidolon. Sentients once fought on this battleground in an attempt to destroy a massive Orokin Tower that the Ostrons now call home. The Sentients’ defeat is forever immortalized in the ancient graveyard that litters the Landscape.

Time in the Plains cycles the same for all Tenno. For every 100 minutes of beautiful sunshine, there are 50 minutes of haunted night.

PROTECT THE OSTRONS

The Grineer have organized drilling stations and sprawling outposts throughout the Plains to excavate the technology of the Old War. Take missions from the Ostrons to fight Grineer during the day and clear out their bases, but be fast, as these Grineer will call reinforcements when they spot danger. As you venture deeper into the Plains the Grineer enemies will get progressively stronger, so come prepared.

BECOME AN EIDOLON HUNTER

When night falls on the Plains, towering Spectral Sentients known as Eidolons ascend from the waters and wander in search of all they’ve lost. Small, deadly Sentient drones appear throughout the Plains to protect the Eidolons. Many Grineer will retreat to their camps in fear of the Eidolons and attempt to wait out the night.

Gather your fellow Tenno. You’ll need to work together to take down these massive creatures. Only the greatest Eidolon Hunters that combine forces will reign victorious.

TRAVEL BY LAND OR AIR

When you’re not sliding down hills or Bullet Jumping over mountains, you can summon your Sky Archwing at will to fly through the open Landscape. Spot and battle Grineer enemies from the sky and experience the beautiful scenery. Movement for your Archwing has been reworked to make it easy to fly through the Plains and engage enemies on the ground.

EXPLORE THE PLAINS

Experience the great outdoors like never before! Craft spears and bait to catch a variety of fish species and return them to the Ostrons to make consumables. Mine for ore and rare gems that have been affected by traces of Spectral Energy left over from the Old War. Venture far into the wild to explore hidden caves that hold secrets of their own.

CETUS

Use your new-found freedom to explore the bustling town of Cetus. Learn about its scavenger-inhabitants, the Ostrons, and their rich culture that revolves around the grotesque harvesting of biomechanical tissue from long-dormant Orokin Towers. Talk to the Ostrons in town to discover how the ongoing war with the Grineer has shaped their lives. Increase your Standing with the Ostrons by completing their requested missions and they’ll share their culture and knowledge while granting you access to their wares.

MEET THE VENDORS

Cetus’ merchants have everything you’ll need for time on the Plains. Want to immediately engage in battle? Pick up Bounties from Konzu. Feeling hungry for dinner? Go to Fisher Hai-Luk to unlock a variety of fishing spears and bait. A wealth of options are at your fingertips! Forge your own unique weapon, refine minerals to gems, customize your companions and Orbiter with all new Decorations, and buy paper mache Warframe masks for your Operator.

newnew

CRAFT YOUR OWN WEAPONS

At Hok’s Anvil you have the ability to design and build a new weapon using the Ostrons’ component-based crafting. Zaws are modular weapons with interchangeable components that affect the appearance, functionality, stances, and stats of the weapon. They are forged using three weapon parts; a strike, grip, and link — all of which are obtained by crafting Blueprints that Hok provides. Name your Weapon, improve it by adding Gilding, or earn Cetus Standing by pledging the Zaw to the Ostrons.

Lots more details can be seen here. Once the Plains of Eidolon update is out on PC and consoles, we’ll report on it and if there’s any balance tweaks included.

Destiny 2 Exclusive Emblem Can Only Be Obtained by Buying These Toys

If you want your Guardian to really stand out from the pack in Destiny 2, then there’s a chance, but you’ll have to buy actual toys to get ’em. The Destiny 2 exclusive emblem that you can see below can only be had by purchasing the “Mega Construx” toys by Mattel, and range from $15.99 to $199.99 as the most expensive set.

The toys themselves are LEGO-like in appearance and structure, which the emblem shows as well. Don’t forget, the emblems don’t offer any gameplay enhancements of any kind and are just another way to let you customize your Guardian as your own. Don’t be surprised to get questions where you got it though.

For more game-related Destiny 2 news, Bungie is asking fans what they want to see in the shared world shooter’s first DLC. Those who have yet to finish the Leviathan Raid, we posted an exploit that should make finishing it a tad easier.

Will Destiny 2 players buy actual toys just to get an exclusive emblem? I wouldn’t bet against it given how fanatical the fan base is.

Star Wars Battlefront II Beta End Date Extended for Two More Days

For those who’ve yet to try the (now) Star Wars Battlefront II beta, you’ll have more time to jump in as EA has announced that the Star Wars Battlefront II beta end date is now on October 11 instead of the original date of October 9!

This was announced by the official EA Star Wars Twitter earlier today.

Don’t expect any updates, though, as the Battlefornt II beta will be the same one we’ve been playing since the start, but just extended. No new Heroes, or features are expected to roll out.

For more on Star Wars Battlefront II, make sure to check out our beta impressions to see what we make of it so far. We also rolled out a video feature where we list down the ways Battlefront II is better than its 2015 predecessor already. Now for those who’ve played the beta, DICE has announced a bunch of buffs and nerfs coming to the full game.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Free This Weekend on Consoles and PC

Those who want something new to play this weekend and haven’t bought Ghost Recon Wildlands will have something to do this weekend. In a press release, Ubisoft has announced that  the Ghost Recon Wildlands free download and play limited time event will take place from October 12-15 on consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One), and PC.

Players will be able to access the entire base game’s full slate of content, and will also give players a chance to try the new PvP mode called Ghost War which will be free to everyone who owns the base game. As one can expect, progress will carry over if you decide to purchase the game, which will be on sale for 50 percent off during the free play weekend.

Ghost War is a 4-versus-4 team deathmatch experience that builds on the tactical squad play from the main game, where strategy is equally as important as skill. Using one of the 12 distinct classes, each with their own varied characteristics, weapons, perks and customization options, players will engage with enemies across eight unique maps. Ghost War also integrates new PvP mechanics, including suppressing fire and sound markers, to create a strategic and intense team-based multiplayer mode.

Additionally, the development team is planning to expand the PvP experience by adding new classes, new maps and new modes over the next few months, while continuously working on balancing and quality of life updates. All new maps and modes will be free for all players. All new classes will be unlocked with Prestige Credits gained through progression and available free with a one-week early access for all Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Season Pass owners.

We’ll have more on Ghost War as the mode is fully released, such as impressions, initial class loadout suggestions and more.

Will you give Ghost Recon Wildlands a go? Have you tried Ghost War’s demo when it was available for a limited time last month?

Microsoft Accidentally Advertises PlayStation Move Instead of Xbox Kinect

It looks like Kinect slipped from the mind of one particular Microsoft/Ubisoft employee, who forgot to mention the device in an upcoming game’s description.

It’s a copy-and-paste job gone wrong, with Microsoft/Ubisoft accidentally listing Just Dance 2018 as “also compatible with PS Move/PS Camera for up to 4 players.”

Try Just Dance 2018 for free now! Turn up the volume and dance your heart out now on “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars.

Play the Just Dance 2018 Demo with your smartphone! Simply download the free Just Dance Controller App to your smartphone to dance with up to 6 players!

The Just Dance 2018 Demo is also compatible with PS Move/PS Camera for up to 4 players.

The error was posted on Reddit under the hilarious title, “Microsoft is so done with Kinect that they’re advertising the Move.” As of press time, it sits at 4,341 points with 92% upvotes.

Hopefully the repercussions aren’t too severe for whomever made this error. I mean, it’s been years since I last thought about Kinect…
